PROBLEMS, PORNOGRAPHY, GAMBLING.

AND LET ME TELL YA, THERE'S PROBLEMS IN THE BODY OF CHRIST.

AND THE SAD THING IS IS I THINK THEY'RE PEOPLE WHO LOVE GOD.

THEY DON'T WANT TO DO WRONG SOMETHINGS, BUT SOMEHOW OR

ANOTHER, THEY JUST DON'T KNOW HOW TO MAKE IT FROM BONDAGE TO

FREEDOM.

AND SO I'M JUST GONNA MAKE A BOLD STATEMENT HERE, AND I

HOPE I DON'T MAKE ANYBODY MAD BUT IF I DO I'LL JUST TELL YOU

THAT I'VE SEARCHED MY HEART AND I BELIEVE THIS.

THE HOLY SPIRIT INTO MY BEDROOM.

ANSWERS THAT IF WE WILL JUST FOLLOW THAT LEADERSHIP OF

THE HOLY SPIRIT, THINGS WILL TURN AROUND IN OUR LIVES.

OKAY, SO NOW WATCH THIS.

THE WORD "YIELD" MEANS TO GIVE IN, TO GIVE UP, TO LET GO,

TO BACK DOWN, TO CLIMB DOWN, OR TO RAISE THE WHITE FLAG.

OH, I WISH GOD WOULD HAVE GIVEN ME THIS EXAMPLE 2 MONTHS AGO

BECAUSE THEN I WOULD HAVE HAD LITTLE WHITE FLAGS MADE

FOR ALL OF YOU.

BECAUSE WHEN SOMEBODY IN A WAR WAVES THIS FLAG, IT MEANS

SURRENDER, AND WE ALL NEED TO WAVE OUR WHITE FLAG OF SURRENDER

And this marriage, between art and fashion coming from Japan,

What I think is extraordinary about Kabuta's work

that he almost has paved the way

for such artistic collaborations as we

see today with Takashi Murakami and Louis Vuitton.

He had a theatrical sense in what he produced,

In the way he presented it.

And I think, this appealed, to (for example) actresses.

There's a sense a drama, around an actress,

and I think that resonated with them

because there was something dramatic about his work.

It was outstanding.

We met about 30 years ago,

The best known actresses wore kimonos in Japan in those days.

I first met Itchiku Kubota

when I'd been invited to see the artist,

a wonderful man and an expert at work on cloth .

He was very rigorous when it came to cloth and it's dying

He was a devil himself, a program called "The Demon's Art" was even created on TV.

But in ordinary life, he was a kind and loving person, yet rigorous.

Very few were analytical about what he was doing

Very few tried to put his work into any kind of context

And I thought he was a really interesting example

of what I would characterise as tradition and innovation.

If you wore one of his kimono that he would of course specially make for you,

you stood out, you were very special in the room

The textile seemed so beautiful to me

that I turn to him and asked,

"Excuse me, could you make a kimono for us?"

And the master replied, that he'd make one that would fit me

and invited me to his home.

That was the beginning of our close acquaintance

I came with a friend to visit him.

He lives quite far away from Tokyo.

I was really very glad the meeting took place.

here is the kimono Kubota made especially for Mrs Tokioka.

One day an interview she gave in a Japanese newspaper,

would transform the life of a young Japanese man.

The article mentioned a kimono with cranes made by Mrs Tokioka

while she was being trained by Kubota.

The young man asked her to introduce him to The Master.

I had just left my job at a hotel

and was looking for a new one.

When I saw the newspaper article mentioning The Master; Itchiku Kubota.

I decided I want to be trained by him at all costs.

The workshop started at 8:30, but I arrived there at 8:10

and busied myself by tidying up for 20 minutes.

And it continued like that for eight years.

As for the work itself,

at first we were not given brushes.

For three years, we did the so-called 'washing'.

Our job was to rinse the material

But the whole procedure was new to me so the three years flew by in a jiffy.

The master did not order us to observe and learn

it looked more like this;

I think that is the secret.

And I think none but the master,

would have been able to create this Tsujigahana technique.

Are there any sort of secret spots or angles that you can use when your'e trying to get

a good photo of a pretty standard or very well photographed monuments like the Lincoln

Memorial or the Washington Monument?

What are some tips for sort of spicing up your photos and making them a little more

interesting?

You know, instead of just taking a straight up photo from the spot that everyone takes

a photo, you can look for different ways to take that same photo.

Like instead of photographing the Capitol, for example, just a straight up shot, you

can photograph it with, you know, get down low and photograph the reflection of the Capitol

in the reflecting pool.

Same thing with the Lincoln Memorial, get close to the water, get the reflection and

the Lincoln Memorial at the same time.

Sometimes if you look for different places where you can get photos that might be great

as well, like the National Gallery of Art East Gallery, if you go up there and go to

the second level where the blue rooster is you can get a great shot of the Capitol, same

Yeah, so that raises an interesting point which is, you don't have to take all of your

photos from the ground.

You can go up high.

Up high or down low.

We don't have any skyscrapers in Washington, DC but we have a lot of buildings with rooftops

and you just mentioned two of them, the National Gallery of Art East Building and the Newseum

are both great examples of rooftops.

Are there any other rooftops that you like to go up to for photos?

Well this isn't necessary a rooftop but the Kennedy Center has sort of a higher level

where you can get a great view of the Potomac River and the buildings behind it.

You can also go to the bridges like the Key Bridge, like walk across the bridge and take

a photo of the city from up there, things like that.

And of course if you have friends with rooftops or hotels you're staying at that have a rooftop

that you can go to that's always great as well.

I believe the W Hotel in DC also has a rooftop that's open to the public.

They have a bar up there, it's a little bit expensive but you can get great views up there

as well.

Yeah a lot of hotels do have rooftops so if you're staying at a hotel downtown and you

want to get some great photos you might want to ask before you book or before you arrive,

is there a rooftop?

Can I go up there?

Is it open to the public?

And that's a great way to get some different perspectives on the city.

estate agents and for people that are selling their homes and how long have

you been while doing this I've been doing it now for about six years

specifically selling houses and then interior design for about I'd say about

ten so okay and what is the top two five six tips that you have for a home

staging why using you will help them sell their homes faster

well working with a professional is accomplishing what you're trying to do

because you want to attract most new buyers and yet excited choose by your

host and knowing exactly how to do it then we'll do that

so we know that when you put your house on the market you want to get good

professional pictures to first haven't do that

and also all first impressions are very important and that is five cents so when

they walk into your home you want to have it looking good smelling good you

want a good temperature you want to have it you know you can put on some jazz

music to stimulate you know that and also this is why we bake cookies to

simulates the taste buds so and then they say that if you walk into your home

when the buyers come into your home and they're impressed when they walk in the

whole time that they're visiting they actually make up reasons in their mind

or more right you want competition and you wanna track estate agents and you

client so it is definitely worth putting you know this is an investment right

it's a second job and then working hand in hand it's doing it right first

impressions are the ones that count the most and if you if you put your house on

the market the right way you get to sell it with her you get to you get more

traffic that actually sees and you get probably better price then you would

without using a home stager or or certain recommendations that really

The Samoyed Is One of the World's Oldest Dog Breeds.

The Samoyed, which I am assured is the correct pronunciation by Yeti's Place, although

not the only accepted pronunciation, is one of 14 ancient dog breeds with genetic footprints

closest to wolves.

Along with breeds such as Siberian Huskies and Pomeranians, Samoyeds belong to the Spitz

family of dogs, originating in Asia, and were bred by the Samoyede people of Siberia to

pull sleds, herd reindeer, and hunt.

It's said that the Samoyede treated their dogs more as members of the family than possessions,

which will explain an upcoming fact.

The Samoyed first appeared in England in the late 19th century, and in the US. in early

20th.

The breed was added to the American Kennel Club's Working Dog Group in 1906.

The Samoyed breed has been on expeditions to both of Earth's poles.

In the 19th century, adventurers acquired some Samoyeds to help them on expeditions

to the North and South Poles.

Norwegian explorer Fridtjof Nansen, I know I probably butchered that name, chose Sammies

for his trip to the North Pole in 1893 because of the breed's endurance and trainability.

Although his trip was not successful (because obviously he'd never been on a road trip

and Ummm he didn't pack enough food), the dogs proved to be excellent sled dogs.

English explorer Robert Scott and Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen also used the dogs

on their expeditions to the South Pole.

Scott had a team of 33 dogs; Amundsen had 52.

Amundsen beat Scott to the Pole with his team, led by a Samoyed named Etah.

Adaptable, friendly and gentle, they're great dogs, but they're not for everyone.

Samoyeds Need to Be Full Members of the Family

Samoyeds are known as affectionate family dogs, though they often bond closest with

one person in the household.

These dogs need to be with their people, and like any people dog, when left alone too often

or for too long, can become lonely, depressed, and destructive.

Samoyeds are known to be chewers and can be quite destructive if they are under-exercised

or left alone for long periods.

While very friendly and smart, the Samoyed can be challenging for novice dog owners.

This is a vocal dog and needs to be kept busy and active to prevent undesirable behaviors.

The Samoyed also has a strong hunting instinct and will give chase after small animals, including

cats.

But, if introduced as fellow pets, the Samoyed can do well with the family cat.

Agility and tracking are excellent activities to keep your Samoyed physically and mentally

stimulated.

If you're considering one of these dogs or any other breed for that matter, remember

there are breed specific rescue organizations all over the world that are usually a Google

search away.

The Samoyed Is Sensitive to Heat

As you might guess from its thick, luxurious coat, the Samoyed prefers cooler temperatures.

That thick double coat is after all meant to hold in heat and protect from very cold

weather.

If you live in a place with hot summers and not so cool winters as I do, this is probably

not the breed for you.

Don't allow your Sammy to overexert itself in the heat.

Schedule exercise and play sessions for the cooler hours of the day, and keep your Sammy

inside in air conditioning when the temperature heats up.

Unlike certain breeds (we're looking at you, you corn chip smelling hounds), the Samoyed

is a stinkless pooch.

You don't need to bathe Sammys as much as you would some other breeds, but frequent

brushing is a must to keep your buddy's fur from matting.

Bonus Fact:

Samoyeds have a thick double coat.

The bottom is soft and wool-like while the top is coarse and straight.

The dogs shed so much that some owners have gotten in the habit of collecting all the

excess fur.

This surplus can be spun into yarn that can be used to make clothing.

The material is warm and strong (and not to mention stinkless), making it a great alternative

to sheep's wool.

The Potomac Valley Samoyed Club takes fur donations, which they then use to create everything

from scarves to mittens.

One crafter claims that a medium-sized paper bag of fur can yield a large shawl and three

pairs of baby booties.
