Hello, everyone!
I'm Heizle.
Hi.
Everyone, did you watch the tour video of my bedroom
with my wardrobes from last week?
If you haven't, I'd recommend to watch it before this video.
The World Heizle Lives in.
With a new theme, World of Heizle,
I told you that I'd be posting videos about my daily life.
Following last week's video, today's video is the second one.
Ta-da! This is the second one.
Right now, I'm in my working studio
where I keep my cosmetics, and let me show you
this very room.
Yes!
This is the place! This is it!
This is it!
Today's video is a tour video of my studio with cosmetics,
but instead of showing you the cosmetic products I own,
I'm planning to give you a tour of my room
by telling you how I decorated this room
and how I fixed this room up.
Then without further ado,
shall we go and take a look around the space
I'm in right now?
Go, go, go!
Ta-da!
It's my working studio
where I store my cosmetics. Ta-da.
Let me give you an overall view of this room.
Just like this.
First off, when you look at my room,
you'll see how colorful it is.
You'll see pink, a vivid color,
pico green, and the color on the windowsill.
There are various combinations of colors in my room.
As for the wall, I personally
painted it.
I was so tired afterward. It was really a hard job.
I chose the colors myself.
I came up with a combination of colors and painted them
to suit my taste.
I also worked on the windowsill myself.
I painted the windowsill with ultramarine blue.
Is that called a window shade? It's a custom-made shade.
I measured the size of the window and customized it.
This is how my very own working studio
where I put my cosmetics was created.
This is part of the room too.
Can you see?
This is how it looks like.
When I decorate my space,
my first priority is the look of it.
I don't care too much about its practicalities.
I really stress importance on its presentation.
When it comes to the look... Well, since it's my room,
don't you think decorating to suit my taste is a top priority?
You might now know this, but I majored in installation art.
When it comes to decorating rooms, I can be sensitive.
Somewhat sensitive.
Take a quick glance, and I'll show the storage space
for my eyeshadows in detail later on.
With a quick glance,
you can notice that I set up my room
where my products are in the open.
In the previous tour video of my wardrobes,
I mentioned that
I didn't like putting clothes where I couldn't see them.
I need to see all my stuff right away.
Especially for my cosmetics,
they need to be displayed. I need to see them at once
for me to choose colors I need and apply them quickly.
Once they are out of my sight, I don't tend to use them often,
and I end up throwing them out without using them all.
That's what happens.
So when I organize my cosmetic products,
I do it like this. This might look messy,
but I must see all of them at once.
All of them at once!
I must see them at once.
Let me start by briefly showing you from over there
to the end of the shelf.
All right. Follow me.
Ta-da. This shelf is for my perfume.
I keep the bottles of my perfume which I use often.
If I'm being honest with you, I buy a lot of perfume,
but I don't use them often.
At one point, the scent of my perfume started to make me sick.
So I don't apply perfume.
I like smelling other people's perfume,
but when I apply the perfume,
I can't stop feeling sick from the smell.
So these are some perfume I used to apply a lot before.
These days, I just have them for a display purpose.
Like this.
Up there, you can see my name. I made this.
This is the light I made.
It spells my name.
That was the light.
When you move down, you'll see
gel nail polishes for manicures.
When I was into doing my own nails,
this is the shelf where I stored nail polish products.
It's my nail polish shelf.
I don't do my own nails anymore.
I go to a nail salon to get mine done.
Since I don't do my own nails, these are just for the display.
Not to leave any space boring, I put in these which I love.
I decorated the space with princesses and witches
from Disney.
Aren't they cute?
I just put them there for the display purpose.
On the bottom, you'll see books I read often,
but since this shelf is really messy, I'll skip this part.
When you move onto the side... Ta-da!
Here they are.
These are lipsticks that I apply very often.
I displayed my lipsticks on this shelf
just like this.
My gosh. Surprisingly, they look great on the screen.
In my opinion, I thought that they looked quite disorganized
and tacky.
Seeing how they look on the screen,
they don't look too bad. They are not eyesores.
They look good enough. Don't you think so?
I put some of the lipsticks I use a lot.
I organized the lipsticks that I apply really often
in a way they can be seen all at once.
You can see every lipstick with one glance.
I set them up like that.
Time to time, I receive gifts from cosmetic brands
in such pretty packagings.
That one is an example, and so is this one.
When I receive presents in cute packagings like these,
I decorate the space with packagings themselves.
They are beautiful, aren't they?
Should I give you some close-up shots like this?
It's like I'm filming them for detailed shots of the products.
But the camera movement...
The camera movement isn't stable,
but I want to give you the feel of getting a tour for my room.
I'll try hard to film this space the best way I can.
When we move down, you can see...
lipsticks I've introduced you to over the years.
This is what I'm talking about. They must be in the open.
This is how I can see the kinds of colors I have, right?
Just like this.
The same goes for the top shelf. I can see everything.
How nice is that?
On the bottom, you can see these lipsticks
all at once.
In the back, there's a picture of Hyo Ri.
I'm a big fan of her.
I organized this shelf with foundation
that I often apply.
You can see everything, right?
I don't even need to organize them.
I just make sure they can be seen at once.
There's a tip I'd like to share with you here.
Look. Take a look at the top shelf
and this.
These are lipstick organizers.
When you search lipstick organizers online,
you can easily buy these.
Let's move to the shelf below.
A lot of beauty youtubers
introduced this. This is the one.
I have a feeling many of you already know what this is.
This is an ice cube tray you can buy at a Daiso.
We can make an eyeshadow organizer with ice cube trays.
Or you can make one for lipsticks.
But for me, I wouldn't use it for just any lipsticks.
But you know these long lipsticks?
For instance, this is from Giorgio Armani.
It's a bit tricky to organize long
and thin lipsticks like this one.
I'm not the only one thinking that, right?
It's really tricky.
When I place them in an organizer standing on the side,
they tend to fall since they are long.
But I can't let them stand up because they wobble.
So it was really bothersome to store them.
But when you put them
into this ice cube tray and slant them at 45°,
you can keep these lipsticks stable.
Let's move onto the shelf below.
I'll explain about this shelf to you.
There are a few things I'd like to explain.
On this shelf, you will see that I organized lipsticks
with the ice cube tray which you just saw.
I did put a lot of lipsticks here.
I have another ice cube tray to organize my lipsticks.
This ice cube tray is slightly different
from the ice cube tray I showed you from the shelf above.
The ice cube tray
from the shelf above has thinner and deeper molds.
Since the molds are thinner and deeper,
it's convenient to put long and thin lipsticks into them.
Put them into the tray and keep them at 45°.
Put them into the tray and keep them at 45°.
The molds are thinner and deeper.
However, this ice cube tray
has molds which the depth is about the same.
This ice cube tray has wider molds.
They are wider and larger.
Here's why I keep my lipsticks with this ice cube tray.
Let me use this lipstick from 3CE as an example.
It works well for the lipsticks from this particular brand.
This is a lipstick with an average size we normally use.
However, when you...
Let's compare it with a lipstick from Yves Saint Laurent.
Here are two lipsticks.
When you look at the bottoms,
it's very clear that
the lipstick from 3CE is bigger
than the one from Yves Saint Laurent.
This one is...
People usually use this organizer.
This is the clear lipstick organizer.
This can't fit into this clear, acrylic lipstick organizer
Look at this. This doesn't fit. This is it.
I can't push it in.
Since this is too big, this won't fit.
I thought about how I should store these lipsticks.
Occasionally,
there are some wide lipsticks.
So I found this solution to fix the problem.
My solution is this ice cube tray.
You can also buy this ice cube tray at Daiso.
I bought this at Daiso.
The molds on this tray are wider and deeper.
I was able to put about anything into the molds.
You can use it for bigger lipsticks.
Bigger and thicker lipsticks
fit into the molds although they couldn't fit into the other one.
This is how I keep my lipsticks.
This tray consists of wide lipsticks.
Let's move to the next shelf. Ta-da.
When you look at the next shelf,
I displayed foundation that I often apply.
I just sort of organized to see everything at once.
Ta-da.
As you can see,
this is where I keep my eyeshadows.
These are the shelves where I store
eyeshadows, blushes, and cushions foundation.
After I organized them like this,
I felt really proud of what I'd had to the shelves.
Ta-da. It's because
I actually rebuilt these shelves myself.
I did...
The shelves weren't used
for this purpose at first.
They weren't built to store cosmetic products.
I used a piece of furniture and rebuilt it
into shelves to organize my cosmetics.
You can see all of my eyeshadows are displayed on this shelf.
On the bottom shelf, there are more eyeshadows
along with cushion foundation.
Down below, I placed blushes I often use
and eyeshadows that I like.
It seems I mostly assembled blushes on this shelf.
And down below,
I have palettes.
Here are my palettes.
There are more palettes down here.
These are eyeshadow palettes.
On the bottom, I just put random stuff.
I put together random cosmetic products on the shelf.
This is
my very own display that I'm very proud of.
(Heizle's cosmetic storage)
This is my cosmetic storage.
Yes!
Let me explain what these shelves are,
what they are made of, and how I rebuilt them
in earnest.
First off,
let me reveal the identity of this piece of furniture to you.
This was a shoe rack.
A shoe rack?
I bought this from IKEA.
Let me think how much I paid for this at IKEA.
Was it 200 dollars? Was it slightly cheaper than that?
When you go to IKEA, there's a shoe rack that looks like this.
Let me tell you a distinctive feature of this rack.
As you can see, there are holes.
There are holes on the other side as well.
With these holes,
you can adjust the angle of the shelves however you want.
There are holes in the back of the rack too.
There are holes in the front and back of the rack.
That's how I can adjust the angle of the shelves
however I want.
I adjusted the angle, so the shelves are slanted
and fixated them afterward.
With this feature, the shelves are slanted
at 45° facing forward.
You can see every product with a glance.
It makes sense since you can see everything when
the shelves are slightly slanted instead of on flat surface.
As soon as I saw this furniture,
I thought I'd be able to see everything at once
if I put my cosmetics here.
I'd be able to see everything.
I thought I wouldn't have to open the drawers
and rummage through them to find my cosmetics.
That thought crossed my mind.
Eureka! That was a moment of realization.
Eureka!
But there's another important thing.
One of you might ask me this question.
"Heizle, if the shelves are slanted at 45°,"
"wouldn't the products fall once you place them on the shelves?"
Of course they would.
That's why we must keep them from falling, right?
Ta-da. Can you see this?
(Pay attention to this!)
This. There's one here too.
There's another one on top of here.
As you can see, I attached this
to sustain them from sliding down just like this. My gosh.
Like this. The same goes for this one as well.
It stays like this.
Since it supports the products, they won't fall, right?
I attached this to every line
all the way. After I put them on,
I was able to organize my cosmetics neatly like this.
But what are these? Are your curious?
Ta-da! This is so long.
This is it.
This is a cord cover. A cord cover.
Let me take this out.
Look at this.
This is the cord cover.
On the back, the double-sided tape is attached.
You can just take off the clear sheet and attach it.
You can find this at Daiso.
I think I paid about 2 dollars for 3 covers.
3 covers were in 1 packet, and they cost about 2 dollars.
I bought several packets,
and I attached them for every line.
The original purpose of the cord covers is
to hide computer cords
or wires that aren't pleasant to look at.
You can put the cords inside the cover
and organize the wires. This is the cord cover for that.
You can use this. Besides, double-sided tape is attached.
You can just peel off the sheet and stick it to the shelf.
In this way, you can stabilize the products from falling.
Isn't this awesome?
Eureka! Seriously.
This is the best discovery.
After putting a few of this on each shelf,
I was able to organize them perfectly like this.
I was really proud of myself.
After I found out... I already mentioned this.
I love seeing everything in one glance.
Isn't this perfect or what?
I can see everything.
When I need to choose a color, I can take a look at them
and pick out the color I need easily.
And thanks to this cord cover,
my eyeshadows won't fall,
and I can keep them from sliding down.
For those of you who have a lot of cosmetics at home,
but if you want to organize them systematically
and see every product with one glance,
I recommend building a rack for your cosmetics like this one.
This is a good way to do it.
This was Heizle's cosmetic storage.
This side is very dirty.
So I'm going to speed it up.
Look at this mirror ball. I really love this mirror ball.
I think I bought this from IKEA as well.
When I work on editing, that's the desk I work at.
This is my workspace.
I sit down on that chair, turn off all the lights,
and have only this one turned on.
I work on my video with that on while I listen to music.
When I do that... My goodness.
Editing goes smoothly.
I'd like to set the atmosphere and work.
I'd be sitting down like this.
You can see the lightings over there.
I'd sit here and work on my videos.
Just like this.
I'm working here.
When you come to this side,
I have a cosmetic trolley I can move around.
This is another storage unit for my cosmetics,
but this looks so messy.
It looks chaotic.
And the drawer here.
I don't think I can show you inside of the drawer.
I can't bring myself to do it
because...
It's so dirty.
It's really messy. My apologies, everyone.
Inside the drawer, I have concealers, mascaras...
What else do I keep in there?
I keep glitters in here.
Those are some things I keep in the drawer,
but let me skip this drawer as this is very messy.
Anyway, this wraps up the tour video
of my working studio where I store my cosmetics.
It's over!
Only the last episode of tour videos remain. The last video!
What was the last one about?
As a fan of Harry Potter and Disney,
I told you that I built a tower with products relating to them.
I'll upload the Harry Potter and Disney Tower video soon.
I think you'll get to see it in December.
I'll do my best to post it as soon as possible.
