and it's almost like I don't release the t sound.

It's called a glottal stop in English.

It's a very common sound and this is a kind of native sound.

You can practice it too.

The expression, "What do you want?" is very common.

It can be used in a restaurant, for example.

You might ask your friend or a family member, What do you want?

What do you want to order?

What do you want?

You can even ask a friend if they are in your house, you can say, What do you want?

Tea or coffee?

So it could be for choices, or yeah, making orders.

Seoul monitoring N. Korea for possible missile test - Duration: 1:31.

It's been over two months since the last provocation from North Korea, but reports say there are

signs of the regime is preparing to test a ballistic missile in the near future.

The South Korean military says that it and the United States are watching the North closely.

Kim Hyun-bin, reports.

South Korea and the United States are closely monitoring North Korea for a possible ballistic

missile test.

According to Kyodo News on Tuesday, the Japanese government is on alert as it detected radio

signals from the North suggesting Pyongyang could be preparing for a ballistic missile

launch.

The report said that the signals could be related to preparations for North Korea's

winter training, adding that satellite images did not show a missile or a mobile launch

pad.

South Korean military says that it is closely monitoring the situation north of the border.

(Korean) "Seoul and Washington are closely monitoring

North Korea's every move as there could be possible provocations."

North Korea has stayed quiet for some 70 days since the last provocation on September 15th,

when the regime fired an intermediate ballistic missile over Japan.

A government source says that there has been increase in activity on North Korea's missile

bases.

The source said that more monitoring is needed to be sure if the regime is preparing for

a missile launch or preparing for its annual winter exercise.

North Korea's annual exercise starts in December and runs until April.

The source added that on Monday the regime appeared to have operated a radar system that

can track the missile's trajectory and more communications equipment was detected on North

Korea's missile bases.

South Korea President Moon Jae-in urges speedy implementation of innovation-led growth projects - Duration: 2:31.

South Korea's failure to keep pace with the rapid industrial revolution taking place today

would be a huge setback for the nation's economic growth momentum.

That's according to President Moon during a meeting to discuss strategies on innovation-led

growth.

Our chief Blue House correspondent Moon Connyoung starts us off.

Different countries call it by different names but it basically boils down to one idea:

How to best cope with the fourth industrial revolution facing the world today.

As advanced economies churn out their own visions for the "new digital world," South

Korea's new Moon Jae-in administration from the get-go also placed innovation-led economic

growth at the forefront of its policy goals.

Six months later, the president isn't happy about its progress.

(Korean) "Major economies around the world are rapidly

switching their economic models to those centered on innovation.

4 . Unless we lead the innovation-led growth or

at least stay on par with the rest of the world, we will lose out on the opportunity

for a new growth momentum."

Chairing the very first meeting of "innovation-led growth strategy" with his full Cabinet as

well as policymakers from the ruling party, President Moon urged speedy implementation

of relevant projects for visible achievements.

(Korean) "A prerequisite for innovation-led growth

is a swift reform of regulations on new industries and new technologies.

, . Creative ideas in the private sector should

not be held back by outdated regulations and practices."

The South Korean leader also re-established the roles of the public and private sectors

in this innovation growth drive... stressing it should be the private sector who takes

the lead with the government playing the provider of support.

(Korean) "Finally, I would like to highlight the importance

of investing in the people.

I would like to ask you to drive your policies toward greater investment in human talent

and human capital to foster and nurture creative minds."

President Moon closed his opening remarks with a reminder that the parliament's budget

approval is absolutely vital for the smooth execution of key, innovation-driven projects

discussed at the meeting.

His appeal comes as rival political parties remain at loggerheads over the Moon administration's

2018 budget bill which has a deadline set for this Saturday.

2014. In this show, an eccentric genius forms an international network of super geniuses and acts as the

last line of defense against the complicated threats of the modern world.

No.07: Person of Interest."Person Of Interest" is one of the best TV series made till now. This TV show started in

2011. The viewers get to see humor, twists, and lots of other things in combine.

This series represents the Technology in a magnificent way. The series shows a perspicacious programmer that built an AI

(Artificial Intelligence) that helps to stop the crimes in the city.

No.06: Mr.Robot. This TV series started in 2015, is very popular and has millions of followers.

This is the first show that portrays an elite hacker who uses smartphones, computers and many other

technological gadgets to penetrate secure network to take down evil corporation while being anonymous.

This TV show explicates the life of a young programmer named Elliot who works as a cyber-security

engineer and a vigilante hacker by night.

No.05: Halt and Catch Fire.This series depicts the story that was set in the

1980's. The TV series started in 2014 and dramatizes the personal computing boom through the eyes of a visionary, an

engineer and a prodigy whose innovations directly confront the

corporate behemoths of the time. This TV exhibit the IBM flagship PC's and talk about reverse-engineering.

No.04: CSI Cyber.This TV series ran from 2015 to 2016. In this show, special Agent, Ryan

Avery works as a Cyber

Psychologist to solve crimes for the FBI. The series is somehow intriguing

This TV series have some plots and twists in which the main character

tries to map the brain of hackers and cyber criminals using the advanced technology.

No.03: Chuck.This much popular TV series ran from 2007 to 2013.

No.02: Betas. This TV show ran from 2013 to 2014. This TV series covers a bunch of geeks who comes up with

ingenious idea of developing a social networking app to find people you should know.

The show "Betas" displays the challenging life of Silicon Valley because there's lots of competition.

No.01: Arrow. I must say

this is the laudable TV show till date, which was started in 2012.

This TV series shows a life of a spoiled billionaire Oliver Queen who goes missing when his yacht got lost at sea and

everyone presumes him to be dead. After 5 years,

he makes a return with a drastic changed man

and keeps his inner outlandish will to clean up the city. Arrow TV shows some good amount of technology and inventions.

KOSDAQ continues its bullish run, showing no sign of abating - Duration: 2:33.

Korea's secondary stock index, the KOSDAQ... fell sharply today.... on profit-taking after

an extended rally.

Although overall sentiment remains upbeat,... today's losses are reinforcing worries...

that a bubble may be forming in the KOSDAQ.

Shin Se-min reports.

Korea's junior, tech-heavy KOSDAQ market is on a record-breaking run.

Though the country's small-cap focused KOSDAQ index closed 2-and-a-half percent lower on

Tuesday, seeming to slow a bit,... the overall sentiment not waned.

As of market close last Friday,... the index logged a monthly gain of 14 percent,... while

its bigger cousin, benchmark KOSPI,... was treading in the negative territory.

The junior bourse had even pierced through the 800 mark for the first time in history...

at its intra-day high on Friday,... and is still eyeing to close above that threshold.

And the main driver of the rally,... is brewing anticipation ahead of fresh government measures

to support SMEs,... set to be unveiled next month.

(KOREAN) "The government's promise to support small

and mid sized firms, as well as its promise to overhaul KOSDAQ's listing rules are stimulating

the country's junior market."

On top of that,... the Financial Services Commission has hinted at potential tax breaks...

to long-term investors in the KOSDAQ,... further amplifying positive sentiments.

And apart from the government's push-and-pull,... there's also the boom in pharmaceutical and

biotech firms'... and their upswinging market value.

(KOREAN) "The recent rally can be credited to the government's

strong support for the sector,... but some are concerned about excessive valuations,...

especially for biopharmaceuticals counters."

Though the recent KOSDAQ rally is stoking fears of a bubble and profit-taking,... there's

still plenty of room to grow,... even without the popular pharma and biochem sectors.

Recovery in the global and local economies is steadily picking up pace,... and the upcoming

PyeongChang Winter Games and warming ties with China could open the doors even further

for KOSDAQ-listed companies.

Plan to relax Anti-Graft Law has been put on hold - Duration: 1:52.

The Korean government is looking at making changes to a law passed about a year ago meant

to fight corruption... by limiting the value of gifts and free meals that people working

in certain sectors, like the government and the media, can accept.

There's been some criticism of the rules, and specifically some want to raise the limit

on gifts of produce, meat and fish... to help those sectors.

But the proposal appears to be non-starter -- at least for now.

Won Jung-hwan reports.

Efforts to revise an anti-graft law hit a snag on Tuesday as the Anti-Corruption and

Civil Rights Commission voted down a revision bill before it even got off the ground.

They voted against a revision to the so-called "Kim Young-ran Law," which was introduced

to reduce bribery and corruption in the country.

That law came into effect in September last year.

It bans public servants, educators and journalists from receiving gifts over specified values

according to the '3/5/10' rule,… limiting meals received to under 28 U.S. dollars, gifts

to less than 46 dollars, and congratulatory money or flowers to less than 92 dollars.

The revision had sought to double the price limit on gifts to 92 U.S. dollars for agricultural,

livestock and fishery goods, but the proposal was rejected during the commission's plenary

meeting.

The agricultural community had been campaigning for the revision,... but those against the

revision claim that the proposed changes to the law wouldn't have much impact on the agricultural

sector.

Allowing an exception to the law could also set a precedent for further changes allowing

yet more expensive gifts, possibly going against the spirit of the law itself.

The Blue House said it respects the Commission's independent decision.
