Dio Brando (DIO) Vs. Kars (Ultimate Kars) - Duration: 12:53.
This is one of the many fights that I had
been surprised on people talking about.
This fight is Dio Vs. Kars, which means their multiple forms are also factored in the fight
by separating them.
Dio Brando, human turned vampire with complete control of his body, and then DIO while still
a vampire he doesn't have the same amount of control of his body but that's made better
due to his powerful stand The World with the ability to stop time.
In the blue corner, we have Kars, leader of the last Pillar Men.
A race of ancient super-human beings that can do everything a vampire can do, except
better.
Kars was originally just the leader of the Pillar Men, but ended up as an Ultimate being
known as Ultimate Kars, a form achieved through evolution caused by the Red Stone of Aja.
Now, I'm going to go over Dio Brando in Phantom Blood and then regular Kars because
that's the vanilla battle in all of this.
So, I give Dio a lot of respect for turning into a vampire and showing off his power,
and each time we encounter Dio in part 1, he has a new trick up his sleeve.
In the fight against everyone after turning vampire, Dio wiped the floor with everyone,
and I knew he was busted when him throwing a cop ended up severing people in half and
their limbs off, and one of the legs alone caught Speedwagon and broke his arm.
We see how powerful a vampire could be with a weak body, and Dio had shown that everything
the gap between a vampire with no sense and bloodlust versus a competent person with newfound
power.
Going on further, Dio develops his vaporization flash freezing technique and his space ripper
stingy eyes.
His vaporization technique is meant to be a direct counter to Hamon, but it's also
versatile ability in these fictional fights, though don't quote me on it when I'm bringing
it up later this video.
Meanwhile, we have his space ripper stingy eyes.
The SRSE can be seen as a water cutter jet in a sense, except that it doesn't lose
power the same way that water does.
After a while, water will lose power once the momentum gets futher out, but the SRSE
can touch the sky like it's Kanye West.
He can squeeze metal hard enough to pop it off, and with only two fingers, he can destroy
that kick you thought you were going to do it!
Well, Dio does really well against humans.
He's also the top vampire around his parts, and that's how I see Dio.
The lead vampire, and any other vampire falls short in comparison, because they lack competence.
So, we're done with Dio, now going on to Kars.
The Pillar Men share feats when it comes to things not relating to their abilities.
They all share the ability to do things that's in their biology.
Eating people and vampires at a cellular level, body contortion, the ability to phase, ridiculous
speed, and ridiculous strength.
They would also have high stats in durability and regeneration if there were a chart on
it.
With how fast Kars is, he incorporates that into his other abilities.
For example, you have his Light Mode.
This is where his bone blade moves it's teeth at a speed that reflects light so fast
that the whole blade shines bright even in the dead of night.
He can use blades from both his forearms and calves, and since his blades are apart of
him, he can drink with them too.
Now, let's go over the scenario between part 1 Dio and regular Kars.
Going over both characters, you can easily see that Dio has no easy form of approaching.
Using his SRSE will be something to throw at Kars for one time, and in that instance,
you get Kars realizing that Dio isn't a regular Vampire.
A regular vampire doesn't try to learn anything about their body, let alone try things that
would cause them to find these abilities.
Kars will probably have a bit of respect for Dio right there, but then would probably just
try to attack him head on.
Dio will attack too if he doesn't think that Kars matches up to him, which he probably
doesn't if he doesn't have any information before hand since Dio doesn't really see
anyone on the same level of him.
So, you have Dio leaping in like how he did against Jonathan, and Kars coming through
like how he did against Stroheim.
Now it's his flash freeze technique versus Kars and his bone blades.
If he tries to use his hands against the blade, his hands would be done for, but let's say
it's just hand to hand.
Dio tries to freeze Kars' arm, but Kars would end up seeing how Dio's ability functions
and just combat that with the same thing.
That's just saying if Dio would have a chance to hold Kars, but he wouldn't.
To freeze his arm, he would have to hold his hand or arm, and both of those would eat Dio's
hand right off.
Right there, Dio would jump away trying to figure out his next move, but that's saying
if he was able to jump away.
If the cells of Kars are already holding Dio and eating at him, it's going to be difficult
to pull away.
While trying to pull away, he would just grab Dio with his other arm and pull Dio in, eating
away at him.
Dio can regenerate only if the parts still exist, if Kars eats his hand then he loses
that hand.
You can see that Dio relies on being able to put himself back together, not recreating
entire parts.
That's why you see him as a head, because he's unable to recreate his entire body,
he can just regenerate using people's body parts.
Ignoring how I made them approach each other, there isn't anyway Dio can win against Kars.
When they say you can only kill a Pillar Man with hamon, their pretty much right.
Unless you have some sort of thing that basically atomizes them, they're going to be fine.
Plus, Kars is both faster and stronger than Dio.
Adding on to that, Pillar Men can go through way worse than what Dio has to offer.
ACDC has veins able to expel blood that boils at an extremely high heat, and that doesn't
affect him at all.
When it comes to Kars, I doubt that he'd even be frozen.
The cold doesn't bother them anyways.
Now, for DIO and The World vs. regular Kars and the Ultimate Kars.
DIO is a very strong character, strong than he was before because of his stand.
If I was to purely compare Dio Brando to Dio, Dio Brando is still stronger.
Though the strength isn't what you want to focus on, it's his ability to stop time.
Putting part 3 Dio and Kars together is one of the oddest fights ever.
With Kars not being able to see stands, he's at a huge disadvantage for trying to hit Dio.
In terms of the fight, the whole thing is neutral, because nothing could really happen
to Kars to kill him.
Say that they both charge at each other, and then Dio stops time.
He does his "Muda muda" punches and when time is resumed, Kars flies back from the
momentum of the punches.
Then he gets back up and charges at Dio again, and then The World punches Kars right in the
face knocks him back again, but then he just gets up again.
Dio could just repetitively launch Kars away from him without having to move an inch, but
Kars would just keep getting up because The World isn't enough to purely kill Kars.
You know that old saying that they used in the Batman movies?
An unstoppable force versus an immovable object?
That's what this is in a sense.
The problem with this, I'm in between Dio fighting dead on.
If he sees Kars getting up, there's two things to take away from it.
He's resilient when it comes to regeneration and stamina, but at the same time, he sees
this being unable to make contact with him.
In order of approaches, Dio needs time to stop time.
So, what he'd be able to do is stop time, punch barrage, punch barrage, and then stop
time.
That's how it'd go.
After a long while I'd like to think that both of them think about what's going on.
During a punch barrage after the first couple of times, I'd think that Kars would use
his ankle blades to hold himself from getting blown back.
So, after The World finished punching, Kars attacks Dio one of his arms, but The World
would grab that arm.
Then Kars throws the other arm, and The World grabs that one too.
If someone can draw, I'd like to see that.
It's just a confused Kars looking at his arms being held by an invisible source.
So, then he's just like, "What is this" and Dio is just like "Korega Za Warduo da".
If this were to happen, this means that he lost.
Who lost?
Dio.
If Dio was to have The World grab Kars by the arms, it would be game over for Dio since
he can't defend anymore.
Meanwhile Kars has his leg blade that he can kick Dio with and drink him right up.
This here is a pretty specific situation, but I believe something like this is very
possible.
It's even possible that Kars shines from his bone blade and either scares Dio to get
away or does what he did against Lisa Lisa.
The reason why I'm saying Dio could possibly get scared is it due to being light related.
If he thinks that it's UV related, he'll probably jump away try not to combat that.
So, that would end up making it into a mega stalemate from Kars running into nothing to
Dio running away from something he doesn't understand.
Either that, or what I said about the whole Lisa Lisa scenario.
Where he temporarily blinds the other person and ends up phasing into wherever he needs
to get an advantage.
Once he gets that advantage, he can stab Dio and drink him, or cut off one of his limbs.
Either way you have it, Kars gets some type of upper hand or put back into a stalemate.
I believe that there's someone other there able to put Kars down with just punches alone.
To the point of where Kars is just mush, but I can easily tell you that Dio is not that
person.
Based off of pure strength and ability, if Dio was to ever get hit or stabbed by Kars,
it would be fatal.
Originally, I believed that Kars would just get Dio and that would be it, but how is it
even possible to just get Dio when you're getting punched by something you don't even
see or sense.
I call this fight a draw.
So, that puts it as 2 for Kars, and one for Dio.
Or it's just 1-0 if we don't even number the draw.
Now for the final match, Dio and The World Vs. Ultimate Kars.
Ultimate Kars is a being where a lot of things that put Kars at a disadvantage don't matter
anymore.
The two things that we take note of that matter in this fight the most, is his ability to
manipulate anything on him or that comes from him, and his ability to detect air movement.
Dio's only line of defense is time stop and it already won't do enough to Kars,
let alone Ultimate Kars.
Sensing the movement in the air that The World creates when he punches, he can dodge those
punches and charge right to Dio.
This same Kars would could outsmart Dio so that time stop works to Kars' advantage.
Doing something like shooting feathers at him, and Dio either dodge and punches them
away.
Then he stops time to punch away Kars and then he resumes time, but once he resumes,
the feathers turn into tentacles and wrap Dio up.
This isn't even some head-canon type of thing, Kars has actually turned feathers into
both Piranhas and tentacles.
Ultimate Kars pretty much runs laps around any form of Dio unless it's Dio Over Heaven.
This isn't even a fair match up either, but it was still debated which I'm puzzled
on.
Now, if you want ways of Dio beating Jotaro, just make him 100% and it's game over.

I like Dio too, but I rather put him against other franchises or maybe some of the stronger
stand users in Jojo.
Pillar Men Vs. anyone in Jojo that isn't a strong stand user isn't the best thing.
I'd try them against some of the strongest stands you have in Jojo, and if you want to

Jojo.

Alright so Oliver, when it comes to paraphrasing, what are your tips?
People have to realize how important it is to be able to paraphrase.
And it's specifically mentioned in the band score descriptors,
the piece of paper that is basically used to help the examiner to analyze your performance.
So in terms of lexical resource, if you can't remember a word,
As long as you use paraphrase effectively and when required, then you can still get a band score 9.
The other advantage of paraphrasing is that you tend to use relative claus, you'll actually increase your grammar mark.
Another thing that I really love is using these words which can mean anything in the English language.
So if you forget a word, you can say a whatchamacallit
or a thingamajig.
For example, so I went up to the door and I put the thingamajig in the lock and turn it around and open the door.
You know the key, obviously but you don't need to actually say it as long as you don't spend too much time focusing on that word.
You just get around the language problem and move on.
So I think the thingamajig, the whatchamacallit.
That's such a great summary, I think, for people.
They don't need to make things too complicated.
Sometimes it's okay to repeat, paraphrasing must start out with you're learning to say the same word in different ways.
And then afterwards you can work with.
There are different games that you can do to play that at homes.
For example picking up a card with the word on it and then you have to define your friends without saying the word.
In fact it is a really fun game.
Let's try that game now, shall we?
Just pick one letter and we're back and forward, back and forward to find the synonym.
Let's talk about opportunity.
A lot of students use "condition".
Like "Unfortunately I didn't have the condition to go abroad at that time because I didn't have enough money".
I guess the most obvious synonym for opportunity would be a chance to experience something.
I find a lot of Vietnamese students use the collocation "a golden chance to do something"
Which to be honest, I don't really like the sound it. It doesn't sound like the sort of thing a native speaker would tend to use.
But you would take golden opportunity, right?
Yeah to me that sounds better.
For me I'd be very enthusiastic like something is a fantastic opportunity.
Once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
That's a nice one, that was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
When you're saying that, do say it quickly, not it was a once…in…a…lifetime…opportunity.
Don't sound like a robot.
Once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Ghost of Tsushima Interview: Details on Sucker Punch's Next Open World Adventure | PS4 - Duration: 4:13.
JASON CONNELL: So in 2014, we came out with Second Son,
and about six or seven months later,
we came out with First Light.
And then about a year from that, PS4 Pro was starting to come out
so we wanted to support that with Second Son
and Fetch with First Light
and all the cool laser bullets that come with that.
But behind the scenes what we were really working on was
trying to figure out how do we make a new game.
Like, if we were going to depart from Infamous,
it's got to be awesome and what is the process to get there.
NATE FOX: When we were looking at our next project,
we wanted to stay open-world because we're giving authority
and power to the player,
and we didn't want to walk away from that.
We think it's integral to modern gaming
that players are in charge.
JASON CONNELL: And I think in true Sucker Punch fashion,
we answered that with,
"Hey, what does everybody at the studio think?"
And we had about, I believe it was 70, 72 pitches,
72 ideas that kind of all formed up
from various corners of the studio.
And then we try to coagulate that into like one idea.
Turns out these things are really, really hard.
NATE FOX: We thought a lot about open-world games and what makes
some open-world games just beautiful and great.
And we kind of settled on wanting to have a clear fantasy
the player like who are you,
what are you going to be doing in the game.
And then we came upon this game idea
which is awesomely simple; right?
To hear about it is to want to play it.
Who doesn't want to go to feudal Japan?
Who doesn't want to be a samurai
with a katana on their hip; right?
JASON CONNELL: When you tell somebody you get to play as a
samurai, you don't really have to say anything else.
You just say that fantasy and everybody just builds a list of
scenarios and narratives and gameplay scenes that you might
get to play in that.
NATE FOX: When we hit upon the Mongol invasion of Tsushima
of 1274, it all clicked.
Suddenly you knew who the heroes were,
who the villains were, what the stakes were for the world,
and you had a video game.
MAN: I'll ask you once again, samurai, do you surrender?
JASON CONNELL: Ghost of Tsushima is an action, stealth,
adventure game where you play a samurai in feudal Japan,
and we're taking inspiration
from the historical point in time
where the Mongol army invaded the island of Tsushima.
NATE FOX: All those locations are in engine.
They're in the world.
That's the place that you're going to defend,
a huge island filled with a lot of different places,
towns, people.
There's so much to learn; there's so much to see.
JASON CONNELL: I think player choice in this game will mean
something very different than other games we made in the past.
We really want you to have that choice of,
"Hey, that cool bamboo forest over there,
I really want to check it out.
I want to head in that direction,
and I want to see what it is."
There's no waypoint.
There's nothing that says go here
and look at this bamboo forest.
We hopefully are presenting something that's beautiful and
exotic, that's different than the current place
that you might be in,
and that will come at a world choice; right?
That's your adventure choice, like, where do I want to go.
NATE FOX: In Infamous you explore powers.
In this game, we let you explore what it is to be a samurai
inside this enormous landscape of medieval Japan.
JASON CONNELL: Here at the studio sometimes we talk about
the world as a character.
And I think that even in Second Son we pushed really hard to
make the flavors of the world come alive.
There's all these other elements that make you remember what it
really felt like to be a tourist in this place.
And we're going to do the same thing for this game starting
with some of the shots you see in the trailer.
We've been working on this game for three and a half years,
and it's exciting to be at a spot where we are finally able
to share with the world what we've been working on.
NATE FOX: And now it's just up to us
to actually deliver this fantasy,
this wonderful fantasy about being a samurai in feudal Japan.

Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds - Meet the Scorcher | PS4 - Duration: 2:17.

MARIJN GIESBERTZ: The Scorcher is this really aggressive,
dangerous robot.
A lot of the attacks that he uses are fire based.
DENNIS ZOPFI: As the Banuk area is the ice,
we wanted something fiery, which is the Scorcher.
RICHARD OUD: The official design for the Scorcher was heavily
based on canine types of animals like wolves and coyotes and
such.
When you look at a cheetah chasing a gazelle, for example,
the feet are always slipping,
trying to keep up with the speed that he has,
and it's such a cool thing to actually try to put into this
character as well
because you get that feel like you're being hunted by it.
BASTIAN SEELBACH: The sound design has a very rough and
gritty style.
One of the big challenges actually is balancing the fire
sounds against any vocalizations of the robot.
We used a lot of different animals,
tiger, lions, wolves, dogs.
There's even a horse in there.
MARIJN GIESBERTZ: One of the more interesting attacks that
the Scorcher has is this Ignition Boost.
He has all these thrusters on his body that he activates and
then builds up to this point where the thrusters go off,
and he gets propelled towards the player.
RICHARD OUD: When you're being attacked and you dive away,
you barely have time to turn around and prepare yourself
again for the next attack because he's already in your
face again at that point.
MARIJN GIESBERTZ: To defeat the Scorcher,
a player should move around a lot as much as possible.
BASTIAN SEELBACH: Stun it whenever you have the chance to
bring it down for a bit and then apply the big hits.
It makes it a bit easier.
