WHERE WE ARE IN THE UNIVERSE ? | Singularity - Duration: 15:40.

Consider this point again

is here

it's our home

It's us, everyone you love

Everyone you know, everyone you've heard of

Every human being that ever existed

and lived their lives here

the totality of our joys and sufferings

thousands of religions, ideologies and economic doctrines

every hunter and hijacker

Every hero and coward

every creator and destroyer of civilization

every king and commoner

every couple in love

every mother and father

every hopeful child

inventors and explorers

every educator

every corrupt politician

each 'super-star'

each supreme leader

every saint and sinner in the history of our species

lived there, in a grain of dust suspended in a ray of sun

think of the rivers of blood shed by all...

those generals and emperors

so that in his glory and triumph

they can-without becoming the momentary masters of a fraction of that point

our attitudes, our imaginary importance

the illusion that we have a privileged position in the universe

is challenged by this pale spot of light

it has been said that astronomy is an experience that brings humility and shapes character

perhaps, there is no better demonstration of human foolishness and vanity...

than this distant image of our small world

this emphasizes our responsibility

to treat each other better

and to preserve and estimate the only place we know

the pale blue dot

'' written by Carl Sagan ''

Introduction

'' Eae '' Cosmologos all right? here who speaks is the Vini of the channel singularity

and in this video I'll be showing you...

how can we be bigger or smaller than we think

in other words

an atom in the universe and a universe in an atom

I strongly recommend you watch this video carefully

because it contains very important information about our universe

and the atomic scale

and I'll be starting the video showing how small we are

and then I'll show you how great we are

to give us our where we are in the universe

I will show the terrestrial cosmic address

it begins with planet earth

our planet is the third planet closest to the sun

so it is not so hot and not so cold

thus being able to support life

we live in a solar system

in which....

a yellow dwarf star

attracts gravitationally

smaller objects such as planets, moons and comets

this yellow dwarf star we call the sun

for those who do not know the sun is a star too

in another video I will explain in more detail how this works...

'' gravitational embrace '' that the sun makes on the other astronomical bodies

that is, a video on gravity

the solar system has:

8 planets, 157 moons

also called natural satellites

our moon is a natural satellite

and 70,000 celestial bodies after the gaseous planet called neptune

every solar system is protected by a cloud of comets

ort cloud call

it is the gravitational limit of our star

that is, after the cloud of ort which are several comets

the sun can not attract any stars

In short, this is our solar system

which is our second line of cosmic address

but the question is: where is our solar system?

the solar system is in a spiral galaxy called the Milky Way

a galaxy is a set of solar system

in this case, our galaxy

there are 400,000,000,000 stars!

and most of these stars have planets (and some even habitable)

it may seem a bit absurd 400,000,000,000 stars

because you've never seen anything like it in the night sky

This is because all the stars you have ever seen in life...

confined to this small fraction of the Milky Way

we could not see all the 400,000,000,000 stars due...

to nebulae and cosmic dust

(which will be subject to another video)

you must be wondering where we are in the Milky Way?

We are in this arm of the Milky Way.

You must be thinking that we're nothing special...

and really we are nothing special

then we are in the Milky Way galaxy, in the solar system and on planet earth

You must be wondering now.

Is there anything greater than galaxies?

and the answer is yes!

we are in a cluster called Local Group

there are 54 galaxies

some galaxies are '' small ''

and others even larger than the Milky Way

the largest galaxy in the local group...

is the galaxy of andromeda

it is 2.5 million light years away

but, what is the light year?

light is composed of photons

the photon is the fastest particle in the whole universe

she can reach incredible 300,000 km / s in a vacuum

for you to have an idea of this speed

when you blink

the light can give 7 and a half turns around the earth

in a second the light can reach the moon

in 8 minutes she gets to the sun

(it's really a very scary speed)

the light year is a measure of distance

so if someone says it will take 3 light years to do a job...

is wrong, because light-year is a measure of distance

and not time

the light year is equal to 9,500,000,000,000 kilometers

but how do we get to that result?

we calculate the distance that light would travel in a year

that is...

the distance you would go in a year going at the speed of light

So for you to get into andromeda

It will take you 2.5 million years...

traveling at the fastest speed of the universe, the speed of light

distance from the milky way to andromeda converted into kilometers

is 25,000,000,000,000,000 kilometers

is followed by 18 zeros

it's a very absurd distance

the andromeda galaxy has 1,000,000,000,000 stars

is a very large number compared to the Milky Way

then we are in the local group, in the Milky Way galaxy, in the solar system and on planet earth

Is there anything greater than a cluster of galaxies?

the answer is also yes

we call these superclusters

we are in the virgin supercluster

which have 100 clusters of galaxies

this cluster is so large that the diameter of it is of...

200,000,000 light-years

this is 80 times the distance between andromeda and the milky way

really is a very large diameter

then we are in the virgin supercluster, in the local group, in the Milky Way galaxy, in the solar system and on planet earth

Is there anything greater than a supercluster?

we do not know for sure...

some astronomers think there may be hyper-clusters that would be...

a set of superclusters

but this has not yet been proven and there may be

giant structures called '' Cosmic webs ''

which would only be observed at the edge of the observable universe and at the beginning of it

In the end, what we are sure is that the superclusters, clusters

the galaxies

the planets, the stars, the nebulae

natural satellites, comets

all this totality of astronomical objects

form what we call the universe

we estimate that the observable universe

is 46,000,000,000 light-years across

in other words....

the universe has 437,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 kilometers!

I'm pretty sure you did not know there was such a move.

then we are in the observable universe, the virgin supercluster, the local group, the Milky Way galaxy, the solar system, and planet earth

and the question is: Why did I call the observable universe universe?

we believe there are 6 times more matter than we can detect

this matter we call dark matter

is undoubtedly one of the greatest mysteries of today's astrophysicists

without this number of dark matter in the calculations

was for the stars to be at a much slower rotation speed than observed

So all this universe I showed you now

probably represents only one-sixth of the total universe

we know nothing of dark matter can be...

be a matter that does not emit light

can be a matter of another geometric dimension

we do not know anything about her

the next astrophysicist who discovers this mystery

likely to win the Nobel Prize

and also according to the calculations...

it was for the universe to be decreasing in size

What happens in reality?

is that the universe is expanding and accelerating in the expansion

it's kinda weird to think of the expanding universe (because)

I do not know, the universe must be infinite but...

I'll show you an analogy like a bladder.

as you can see the universe is expanding

galaxies are moving away from each other

this is what we call the expansion of the universe

to explain this meaningless expansion

there must be more energy in the universe

which we still do not detect

we call it dark energy

without this energy in the calculations, the Big Bang and the expansion of the universe do not make sense

but as we know that the universe is really expanding

It's quite simple

all galaxies are moving away from the Milky Way

it would not make sense all galaxies at the same time to be moving away from us

it would only make sense if the whole universe was expanding

so if we get dark matter and dark energy

and compare with common matter

we arrived at this graph

That's pretty scary.

the whole matter of our universe

only represents 4% of the total universe

that is, all...

galaxies, planets, comets, natural satellites, stars...

everything is only 4% of the universe

and the question is: Are there other universes?

the answer is maybe

there are several theories of the existence of several universes

but so far we have been unable to prove any

but that does not mean that there are no other universes

'' the lack of evidence is not evidence of lack of evidence '' - Carl Sagan

but what am I in this universe?

Am I a miserable drop of water in a huge ocean?

Am I a grain of sand on a beach?

and the answer is

even that you are not

probably in the matter of water, you must be a molecule of H2O

in question of grains of sand

there are more stars than grains of sand on all the beaches on planet earth

so even you are not

but... do not think only this way

you can be small

but life as we know it in the universe seems to be quite rare

it was a tremendous luck the position of our planet

if it were closer to the sun the water would evaporate

if he went further the water would turn to ice

if evolution occurred a little differently

the human species would not exist

if a meteor does not deflect its route 2 centimeters to the left

and did not kill the dinosaurs we probably would not exist

among the thousands of spermatozoids

that would fertilize the ovule of his mother...

you were the only one to get on the egg in time, '' you won the race ''

in short, if we have the ability to perceive that we are nothing we are something

we really gave a real conscience

we have critical thoughts

and this is something quite important

something perhaps rare in the universe

we can be an atom in the universe

but there are universes within atoms

the stars forge all the elements that you know, uranium, platinum, gold...

everything was forged in the stars

including you

so we are made of stellar material

we are not part of the universe, we are the universe

all the atoms in your body came from the Big Bang

all its atoms are approximately 13,800,000,000 years old

the atoms in your left hand may have come from a different star than the atoms in your right hand

I think I made my hands wrong, but... You understand

you have more than 200 bones

more or less 60 organs

630 muscles

and trillions of red blood cells

the 02 you are breathing at the moment...

has been inhaled by all his ancestors

the human body has 10 trillion cells

it's awesome

7,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 atoms

this is 7 followed by 27 zeros

you have more atoms in your eye than the number of stars in the whole universe

you have more atoms in your body than the number of planets, stars, comets, etc. throughout the universe

You must be feeling great now.

and you're really right

even if we are not the center of the universe

is smaller than a grain of sand

even though we are an atom in the universe

at least we are not the center of our lives

if our life were the solar system you would be the sun

if our life were the moons of saturn you would be saturn

you are the only one responsible for your future

you have your book to do what you want

remember you are a universe in an atom

We all work together at the New York City Fire Department.

If I can't be with my family--who lives here in Seattle--then I would rather be at the firehouse.

It is familial, but it's ... you kinda go to war together, too?

You know, fires and stuff like that ... you experience stuff with one another that not too many other people

are gonna understand.

The bond that we wind up building with each other--'cause of the things that only we experience--

we really can only share with each other.

Finding the humor in the ... really, the darkest situations.

You know you have each other's back.

It's easy to joke...

We have each other's back, and we're also the first people to throw each other under the bus.

You come into the firehouse and ... being able to sit at the table with your family

is just like ... whatever's going on in your life , you know like Wassup?

It's like yeah and boom!

You're like, it's out, it's good.

And you're all together again.

We enjoyed getting together so much that we continued. Once a month, minimum.

And when we had the craft fair, then we would go and we'd buy each other's stuff.

We don't care ... we just have fun doing them, you know.

It's Takahashi Time! Episode 114 Animation Breakdown - Dragon Ball Super - Duration: 10:16.

Another weekend…

Another Super video…

Here we go.

YAMAMURO, WHAT THE--!

It's Takahashi time.

For years, I have spoken time and time again about my distaste for Tadayoshi Yamamuro's

modern character designs.

They are the primary source for Dragon Ball's current aesthetic that so many fans dislike.

The bubbly faces, nonsensical highlights, and bland expressions are just a few of the

complaints levied at modern Dragon Ball.

Things typically look flat and lack the somewhat grounded approach much of Dragon Ball Z possessed.

While that's fine if you're pushing for a softer look a la Pokemon Sun & Moon or even

just Toriyama's modern approach, it becomes a major issue when you ride that line, and

no longer resemble the old or respect the new.

That is Tadayoshi Yamamuro in a nutshell, and despite his marginal improvements over

the past year, it feels like any Stockholm Syndrome that developed has been entirely

eradicated thanks to Episode 144.

With Naoki Tate, you get a soft interpretation of modern Toriyama, and in episode 16 of Super,

we saw Shuichi Iseki attempt to channel some of the classic design decisions found in Dragon

Ball Z.

The latter I called the "golden standard for modern Dragon Ball", because despite

classic features like indented cheek shading, detailed ears, and arching eyes, it still

felt fresh, and allowed for some very expressive drawings.

It has been 2 years since that episode, and I never ever thought something would top those

designs.

Yuichi Karasawa at his best came close, but his issues with feature placement let him

down.

Masahiro Shimanuki's return to form has been wonderful and incredibly nostalgic, but

again, his troubles with proportions don't quite make him the ideal candidate.

But here we are, it is episode 114, and this is the debut of Yuya Takahashi as an animation

supervisor… and OH MY GOD.

The king has arrived.

It is perfect.

Let's touch on exactly what it is about Takahashi's art that has caused the internet

to kind of explode over the past 24 hours, and proclaim that Dragon Ball Z is back.

First and foremost, let's kick things off with a look at the shape of the eyes.

Back on the older series, the eyes themselves tended to arch, which not only helped avoid

flattening the image, they made for great expressions.

In the current designs, the eyes are typically drawn with a flat bottom, regardless of whether

they're angled or not.

They're usually just a very square shape, either way.

Takahashi has entirely done away with this, in favour of channelling the older approach.

There are hints of classic Yamamuro here, especially with the little specs drawn on

the edges of the eyebrows.

Similarly, the eyebrows themselves actually curve around the brow into the crease, which

adds so much depth.

It reminds me a lot of Naotoshi Shida's classic uncorrected work from movie 8.

The next part that stood out to me, and this has been one of my huge pet peeves in the

current designs, is the nose.

The current approach is a simplified take on the older noses, but it always kind of

looks like a gaping hole in the middle of the faces.

Thankfully, Takahashi brings things back to the way there were – properly paying attention

to the perspective of the face, and only suggesting the underside where necessary.

Likewise, in three-quarter views, the often rounded noses are now sharp and slant down

the face nicely.

I think what I love most though, and this is only emphasised by the shading that we'll

touch on last, is the actual form of the characters.

Facially, Yamamuro typically draws quite wide and undefined faces, which when combined with

his curved cheek shading, is what leads to that bubbly look that you often hear fans

cite.

Takahashi is very much doing his own thing, here.

The jaw is much longer, therefore making the face slimmer, and the slight curve inwards

on the far side of the face and especially the forehead does wonders with avoiding those

pitfalls.

In terms of the body, I really love the return to defined pecs.

In recent years, Yamamuro has decided to return to simply showcasing the collar bone and hinting

at the pecs below.

That's not the worst approach in the world, I guess, but it has meant that colourists

has mistaken it for a shirt many times.

By defining the pecs, you also get to add really defined anterior deltoid muscles, which

to me is one of those things that has always defined Dragon Ball bodies.

Toriyama used to do it and I always so sad to see it go.

Lastly, the shading, and like pretty much every aspect so far, Takahashi is doing a

great job of channelling the older designs.

Facially, you can see he's avoided Yamamuro's usual choice of having a straight line up

the side of the face, instead opting to use curved shading that defines the cheek bones.

This is one of those things that other animators have noticed adds huge depth to the face.

Shimanuki and Nashizawa both use it, for example.

Takahashi's kind of made it his own, though.

In the original Super Saiyan 3 designs, there was an extra darker layer that was often added

to the cheek to indicate another plane, which stopped it looking quite so sharp.

Takahashi has taken this and applied it to pretty much all scenarios, and I think it

really works really nicely.

There are so many aspects of Takahashi's work here that show just how clearly this

man understands Dragon Ball's design history.

I've mentioned most of them, but of course there's also things like the larger Super

Saiyan hair, which is nice and flowy, instead of looking like lego.

There's more defined features on side characters like Kuririn and Cabba, which does wonders

for helping them look their age.

You can see how much love has gone into this episode, and you don't just have to take

my word for it.

Over the past few months, Takahashi has been tweeting a whole bunch of practise drawings

to do with Dragon Ball, and it really looks like it's paid off.

Looking at his character art back on episode 13 of Super under Yamamuro's supervision,

the difference is pretty astounding.

Whether that's the result of being overcorrected or simply developing this in the recent months,

I don't know, but it's impossible not to notice how night and day they are.

I've spent this entire video so far talking about Takahashi's phenomenal art, and I

haven't even touched on the actual movement, or anyone else yet.

The opening scene of the episode was animated by Takahashi, and it's a great way to kick

things off.

The episode is really well storyboarded, which I wasn't actually expecting, so these great

angles mixed with Takahashi's lovely animation go so well together.

His timing is so lovely, especially the part where Goku punches away the debris.

This first half, however, is supervised by Toei Animation Philippines, and while Miyako

Tsuji is here to tidy up their work, even she sticks out like a very sore thumb here.

Thankfully, Yuichi Karasawa is here and doing key animation, and his style is honestly so

perfect to go along with Takahashi's.

Their shading is very similar, and while Karasawa certainly has issues with feature placement

on the human-looking characters, he blends very well, and I really enjoyed his work on

Freeza and Catopesra.

He draws muscles so so well.

In the second half, this is where Takahashi's supervision takes over, and he really is everywhere.

That's a wonderful thing, but it does make it a little bit hard to tell who's who.

Goku vs Caulifla and Kale in the first few minutes of this half does seem to be by Atsushi

Nikaido, and I believe he also does the longshot packed with smears after God transformation.

Kenji Miuma pops up for the close-up fights in this part, and the bits where Caulifla

is running around the stadium, finishing up with Kale saving her, where you can see Miuma's

distinctive smoke from back in episode 112.

Takahashi animates the Kamehameha, but that's kind of it in terms of actual animation.

There was definitely a focus on storyboarding and artwork in this episode over anything

else, and I'm kind of okay with that in this case.

I think it very much goes along with the nostalgia vibes from the artwork.

Dragon Ball Z after all was very similar.

It did not have much truly great movement on the whole, but because of its pretty exemplary

character art from of the supervisors, a lot of people come away thinking they saw something

better than they did.

I think that's the case here too.

I've seen people calling this the BEST ANIMATED EPISODE OF SUPER EVER, and that's just not

even close to the truth.

It is far and away the best when it comes to character art, but realistically, it's

still fairly limited, and that's why I've put such emphasis on the absolutely spectacular

artwork on show here.

I really, really hope Takahashi will become a regular of sorts, but he is a freelancer

and not exclusive to Toei, so unfortunately that's not guaranteed.

At the very least, we will of course see him again at some point, I'm sure.

He does have pretty deep ties to the studio, after all.

Personally, I would love to see him become a character designer, but that's probably

unrealistic, so I'm gonna end this video here and go day dream about a reality where

that's a thing.

Thank you so much for listening, be sure to rate the video, and let me know how much you

enjoyed Takahashi's work here.

The upcoming staff lists for the next month of Super will be here soon, so be sure to

subscribe so you don't miss my breakdown on what to expect from Super's visuals over

the next month.

Thanks again, and I will see you next time.

We're from Toronto, and we run a singing group called Choir! Choir! Choir!

Choir! Choir! Choir! is where people come out--

all manners of people, all different numbers of people--

come out and sing.

And we learn, you know, harmonic choral versions of pop songs, and then we perform them

and throw them on the internet, and we have a lot of fun.

We want everyone to have a great time and get people to let down their guards.

People can be so stiff, and it's nice to see people laugh and play again,

and get out of their ideas of what they are at work and just, we can just have fun.

We act like complete idiots on stage.

And it's fun.

It's fun to have that outlet to do that.

And we also--our audience is so accepting of that.

And we're OK to mess up on stage, and they're OK to mess up, and we can make fun of each other

and it's all in good fun, and hopefully, at the end of the night, we achieved something

together that you'd wouldn't have expected.

Even though we've done it hundreds of times.

When it hits, it's always... it's always great.

Yeah, there's something deeply emotional about singing.

You know, we're in a room singing a song, and so many diifferent people can be feeling

so many different things.

It's a live experience and so you never know what's going to happen, and it'll never be

the same, you know, than what it is in the room for that one moment.

This is a very long answer to this question. Thank you.

Ghost of Tsushima Interview: Details on Sucker Punch's Next Open World Adventure | PS4 - Duration: 4:13.

JASON CONNELL: So in 2014, we came out with Second Son,

and about six or seven months later,

we came out with First Light.

And then about a year from that, PS4 Pro was starting to come out

so we wanted to support that with Second Son

and Fetch with First Light

and all the cool laser bullets that come with that.

But behind the scenes what we were really working on was

trying to figure out how do we make a new game.

Like, if we were going to depart from Infamous,

it's got to be awesome and what is the process to get there.

NATE FOX: When we were looking at our next project,

we wanted to stay open-world because we're giving authority

and power to the player,

and we didn't want to walk away from that.

We think it's integral to modern gaming

that players are in charge.

JASON CONNELL: And I think in true Sucker Punch fashion,

we answered that with,

"Hey, what does everybody at the studio think?"

And we had about, I believe it was 70, 72 pitches,

72 ideas that kind of all formed up

from various corners of the studio.

And then we try to coagulate that into like one idea.

Turns out these things are really, really hard.

NATE FOX: We thought a lot about open-world games and what makes

some open-world games just beautiful and great.

And we kind of settled on wanting to have a clear fantasy

the player like who are you,

what are you going to be doing in the game.

And then we came upon this game idea

which is awesomely simple; right?

To hear about it is to want to play it.

Who doesn't want to go to feudal Japan?

Who doesn't want to be a samurai

with a katana on their hip; right?

JASON CONNELL: When you tell somebody you get to play as a

samurai, you don't really have to say anything else.

You just say that fantasy and everybody just builds a list of

scenarios and narratives and gameplay scenes that you might

get to play in that.

NATE FOX: When we hit upon the Mongol invasion of Tsushima

of 1274, it all clicked.

Suddenly you knew who the heroes were,

who the villains were, what the stakes were for the world,

and you had a video game.

MAN: I'll ask you once again, samurai, do you surrender?

JASON CONNELL: Ghost of Tsushima is an action, stealth,

adventure game where you play a samurai in feudal Japan,

and we're taking inspiration

from the historical point in time

where the Mongol army invaded the island of Tsushima.

NATE FOX: All those locations are in engine.

They're in the world.

That's the place that you're going to defend,

a huge island filled with a lot of different places,

towns, people.

There's so much to learn; there's so much to see.

JASON CONNELL: I think player choice in this game will mean

something very different than other games we made in the past.

We really want you to have that choice of,

"Hey, that cool bamboo forest over there,

I really want to check it out.

I want to head in that direction,

and I want to see what it is."

There's no waypoint.

There's nothing that says go here

and look at this bamboo forest.

We hopefully are presenting something that's beautiful and

exotic, that's different than the current place

that you might be in,

and that will come at a world choice; right?

That's your adventure choice, like, where do I want to go.

NATE FOX: In Infamous you explore powers.

In this game, we let you explore what it is to be a samurai

inside this enormous landscape of medieval Japan.

JASON CONNELL: Here at the studio sometimes we talk about

the world as a character.

And I think that even in Second Son we pushed really hard to

make the flavors of the world come alive.

There's all these other elements that make you remember what it

really felt like to be a tourist in this place.

And we're going to do the same thing for this game starting

with some of the shots you see in the trailer.

We've been working on this game for three and a half years,

and it's exciting to be at a spot where we are finally able

to share with the world what we've been working on.

NATE FOX: And now it's just up to us

to actually deliver this fantasy,

this wonderful fantasy about being a samurai in feudal Japan.

MARY JANE: With Fisk behind bars, what's next?

PETER: And the city is safer than ever.

Maybe Peter Parker can have more of a life?

AUNT MAY: Are you in trouble? Do you need money?

PETER: No! No! I mean I'm a little behind on my rent,

but, no, I'm fine.

MARTIN LEE: Take care of this place.

It represents the best part of me.

PETER: This is Miles. He's gonna be helping out around here.

OSBORNE: For acts of extraordinary bravery

FISK: I'm the one that kept order in this city!

MARY JANE: What is this?

Devil's Breath?

Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds - Meet the Scorcher | PS4 - Duration: 2:17.

[ MUSIC PLAYING ]

MARIJN GIESBERTZ: The Scorcher is this really aggressive,

dangerous robot.

A lot of the attacks that he uses are fire based.

DENNIS ZOPFI: As the Banuk area is the ice,

we wanted something fiery, which is the Scorcher.

RICHARD OUD: The official design for the Scorcher was heavily

based on canine types of animals like wolves and coyotes and

such.

When you look at a cheetah chasing a gazelle, for example,

the feet are always slipping,

trying to keep up with the speed that he has,

and it's such a cool thing to actually try to put into this

character as well

because you get that feel like you're being hunted by it.

BASTIAN SEELBACH: The sound design has a very rough and

gritty style.

One of the big challenges actually is balancing the fire

sounds against any vocalizations of the robot.

We used a lot of different animals,

tiger, lions, wolves, dogs.

There's even a horse in there.

MARIJN GIESBERTZ: One of the more interesting attacks that

the Scorcher has is this Ignition Boost.

He has all these thrusters on his body that he activates and

then builds up to this point where the thrusters go off,

and he gets propelled towards the player.

RICHARD OUD: When you're being attacked and you dive away,

you barely have time to turn around and prepare yourself

again for the next attack because he's already in your

face again at that point.

MARIJN GIESBERTZ: To defeat the Scorcher,

a player should move around a lot as much as possible.

BASTIAN SEELBACH: Stun it whenever you have the chance to

bring it down for a bit and then apply the big hits.

It makes it a bit easier.
