what up guys is Matt from Macro lean and in this video I'm talking about the best
diet for weight loss. I get this question all the time "what is the best style of
eating, what is the best diet for me to lose weight, to lose body fat?" and the
bottom line is there isn't one! there's so many ways to eat, so many
eating styles you have vegan, vegetarian paleo, keto, low-fat and a million more.
and none of these will work unless you are in a calorie deficit. Consuming less
calories than your body currently needs to maintain its current composition. Let's
say you need 2,000 calories right now to maintain where you're at. If you start
eating 1,700 calories you're now in a 300 calorie deficit and you will start
losing body fat. You also want to have a good amount of macronutrients in your
deficit number. so if that 1700 calories you want to have a certain amount of
protein, fats, and carbs. If you hit that with consistency you will start to lose
weight and therefore body fat, but if you think you can pick a certain style of
eating..Paleo or vegan or whatever and you're going to lose body fat from just
choosing that style of eating you are wrong! You might but it would only work
if you were in an a calorie deficit that is the common denominator with fat loss.
There is no best diet for fat loss, for weight loss but the best diet for fat
loss and weight loss will be the diet that you currently eat. That you enjoy to
eat but with the numbers in the right place, that calorie deficit number. So
don't think "oh that person is vegan they're shredded, they're ripped that
will work for me, that person does keto they're lean that'll work for me" It will
only work for you if your numbers are dialed in, so the best start for weight
loss is??? You guessed it a calorie deficit!!!
