Waching daily Apr 1 2018

Hello guys, I'm Sandy from Jakarta

first of all I would like to say thank you to Malaysia Dance Scene

for arranging the time and allowed me to collaborate with Dalila

and

for me Dalila is a great dancer

she was able to capture every single thing in my mind

for me

this piece means a lot me

because

as we know nowadays there are so many younger generations do something which...

I didn't mean to say what they did are useless

but I would want to say

sometimes

they should re-think what they need to do

sometimes they like to say "they don't have the time", "they don't have the energy",

and then

if i can quote, there are a lot people out there aren't young anymore

for those who are still young

just do it

don't say "you can't do this",

"you don't want to do it",

"you don't have the opportunity"

no, if you say that,

you are not appreciating your youth

if you try to imagine yourself in "our" shoe

in fact I'm referring to myself actually

that I'm old now

but I still want to contribute more,

to create more, and still want to contribute more to the society

I hope I can keep on giving my best to the dance society

and I believe there will be more great students to be found the dance scene in Malaysia

and also some other dance societies, not only in Jakarta

but also those in other countries

and I hope that you keep on doing the good stuff!

thank you guys!

So, what I feel about this piece

is about the youth especially

and in this piece I am the youth

and so is just a message to all youth that

even though you are slightly different,

even though you are feeling down

always remember that

the older ones, the older generation are there to help you

and even though they are there

they are just there to guide you

and mostly just to remind you do not waste your youth

and waste it on depressing things

do not waste it on negative things

be kind towards each other

love each other

and just spread positivity

I'm very thankful for Malaysia Dance Scene

and to William especially

for giving me this opportunity to work with Sandy

who is all the way from Indonesia

and the minute I saw him

and i knew that we are from different backgrounds

I just have the feeling that we are from different backgrounds

but somehow it was just a simple motive

just a simple purpose of trying to create

something that we were both feel connected to

and despite his age

which I wont disclose right now

cause i know is sensitive

but... he is still going strong

and that's a pure example of how we as youth

should feel

we should always have that hunger

we should always aim for more

always trying to achieve more

if someone like him can be so hungry at his age

we as the youth should be double the hunger

so thanks for watching

thank you Sandy

thank you William

thank you Malaysia Dance Scene

I have a really nice time

Disadvantages Of YouTube (PART 1) - Duration: 7:55.

Alright, my friends. Welcome back. Kris Krohn, Grant Thompson and today we're

talking about the disadvantages of YouTube. - Are there any disadvantages to

YouTube? - I don't know but I think we're about to find out. - Let's talk about that.

So there are so many good things about the YouTube platform, it's free to set up

an account, you can reach an international audience, very little to no

overhead costs whatsoever but in this video, we want to talk about some of the

disadvantages of YouTube. What's the purpose of talking about the

disadvantages? - I'm not really sure, Grant but people are asking for and I think

that it is important for people really to have eyes wide open when going into

it because YouTube is not a 30-day commitment, it's not a 90-day commitment,

it's a long-term commitment and whereas you've been with it, I've been with

YouTube now for four years, you've been with with them for seven years. I think it's

really important to take some time and say, hey, there are some downsides of

actually YouTube platform and you should be aware of them up front. Getting work

around them. - Yes, it's important for you to know kind of what you're getting into,

what are the challenges that you're going to face, what are kind of the things

working against you so the purpose of this video is really just to get all

that on the table so you can address those now and just get past them so your

YouTube journey will be a lot more successful. - Okay, the first thing we

should probably talk about is the mysterious algorithm and Grant, I know

that you've actually even been inside headquarters and have had multiple

conversations. Tell me first of all for those that don't know what is the

algorithm and what does it ultimately mean? - Yeah, well I have sat down with

YouTube, I've actually talked to the engineers that work on the algorithm and

they are very elusive as to what you know, they can say. The general answer is

nobody really knows or we can't disclose that and I think that's fair enough

because the algorithm changes all the time as well.

So what is an algorithm? An algorithm is some kind of a formula, a computer code that searches

for certain trends or aspects or traits of a video that's desired to be promoted

and suggested in different ways so YouTube has its purposes of what it's

trying to accomplish, it's basically written a computer code

to analyze videos and trends and how people interact with these videos to get

it to the desired purpose. You know, YouTube's purpose is as much watch time

as possible so it looks for the patterns that it thinks are going to keep people on

YouTube the longest, watching the most content possible. - And you know what, I

just got to say it.. With billions of hours being consumed,

that's probably, it can't be a perfect algorithm, right? I mean, the

reality is that some parts that are probably working well in its favor and

sometimes it's probably working against itself, it's just like anything that gets

big enough, it gets really really complicated. - That's right you know and

there's really no way to perfect the system, you're always going to have things

that work well and things that don't don't work well and of course YouTube's

trying to keep on that and they're always tweaking the algorithm, making

minor adjustments and some things have been spawned by an algorithm that they

could have never predicted and now that those are on the radar they're trying to

find ways to suppress that or shift it for the future so it's very much a

living breathing. - It's like artificial intelligence in the

latest sci-fi movie where the algorithm got out of control and it's taking over

the planet. - So I think keep in mind is you can't rely on cracking the algorithm because

even if you did crack it, even if you did understand it today - you can't control it.

- Yeah, a week from now there's a good chance it'll be changed so your theory

is really going to be all over the place so one of the disadvantages to YouTube is I

guess trying to work with the algorithm, it's probably not going to favor you

or your videos, it's very sporadic, there are ebbs and flows, things when times what

things work really well and times when things don't work at all. - For just a

second, do you mind just sharing in your experience some of the things that have

changed with the algorithm over time like oh YouTube's now favoring this, oh,

just kidding, now they're favoring that. What have been some of the changes? - Yeah,

that's a great question. When I first came on YouTube, it seemed like really

short viral type videos were really popular if you keep them to about a

minute to two minutes, they were very shareable, they get a lot

of views and at the time, how many views your video got was huge and the

more views your video got, it would get up on trending and it would get a lot of

exposure, a lot of suggested but now, YouTube wants watch time so the longer

your videos are and the more people spend time watching them, the more your

videos get favored so just to place an example here, if you made a 1 minute

video that got 10 million views or you made a 10 minute video that got 1

million views, which one would be better? The 10 million view video or the 1

million view video because in YouTube's terms, you know, if the whole video got

watched start to end, both of them have the same amount of watch time so

depending on how the algorithm interprets the value from the video will

really make a huge difference in how it gets promoted.

The ten-minute video may get suggested more because it's a long video, keeps

people on longer and that's really what they want right now. - You know, when you

become a YouTube creator, they create a tool for you called the the YouTube

creators app and when you look at that, you're going to basically

watch your trends, you're going to watch your spikes and it seems like so often

things are just, you don't really have the ability to predict why things did

what they did, you can try to replicate and recreate, the reality is there's a

part of that seems like it's out of your control however what is in control is

that each video and the way that my producer with my other channel, Nate,

likes to look at these is like each video is like a machine and it's like

that machine is going to work for you and the more machines you have then the

more gooder things are going to get with time and and so there are some things

that you can't count on with the algorithm but there are some things that

you can count on and from what you've really devised, I think there's three

things that you, Grant, like to focus on is like well whether we ever understand

the algorithm or not whether YouTube understands the algorithm or not, there's

three things that will always help your channel in general always promote and go

to the next level. Do you mind sharing those three? - I think we have shared those,

those are a topic for a different video which you can see okay. - We just increased

our watch time, did you see how we did that right there? Go watch more. - How to build YouTube

channel successfully, I think we addressed those questions in there. For

this video, I just wanted to kind of more poke holes in the system just so you

knew what to watch out for and I think the second disadvantage to

being on the YouTube platform is really that the audience is generally more

millennial, there's more of an audience that expects to get instant

gratification with no commitment and with no sacrifice so they're looking for

free content you know, they want to digest it very quickly, they want what

they want now and if they don't get it, they want to move on. Like

we live in a society where you really can get almost anything that you want at

very little expense so there's really much take-take-take and

very little give so I think YouTube audiences in general are trained to want

things for free, they don't really see the option, they're not in the habit of

giving to get, it's just take take take so even an advertisement that pops up in

a video, they're going to get offended by that because it takes into their time,

you know what saying? So an audience that expects things for free I think an

entitlement attitude is something that's prevalent on the YouTube platform as

well. YouTube in general I think attracts a younger audience overall you know, it's

become a babysitter for a lot of people. I know we obviously use it with our kids,

there's channels that we want them to watch that are educational and teach

them a lot of great things but they could spend you know, kids in general,

could spend hours sitting down and just watching video after video after video

which has its pros and cons because there is a lot of content out there that

adults don't want their kids watching. You know you think about not at

all out there at work you know, they're riding the bus, they're commuting to and

from work so they're not going to have as much opportunity to watch YouTube as a

kid who's either you know, using the device to babysit them or is just

catching up on the latest vlog action what's happening in the world on the

Internet so you're going to have a younger audience just by default because of the

nature of people having to work for a living

versus you know the ones who are in school or catching videos on breaks.

What Is Bitcoin - Duration: 14:53.

Hey friends Kris Krohn. Limitless Wealth TV and today, we're going to take

a break from talking real estate and we're going to jump on board a little bit

with the conversation of blockchain and cryptocurrency. I had a chance to go to a

conference of mine and sit down with some novice millionaires. And what I mean

by novice millionaire? I'm talking about individuals that start with small

amounts of money that are now millionaires or multimillionaires. And so,

I want to introduce you to a couple of my friends here that can help you

understand what is Bitcoin. Is that a good thing, is it a bad thing, I'm still

making up a mind.

Alright, Limitless Wealth TV. It is Kris Krohn and listen, I'm not here with my

official camera crew. I'm just shooting this with my phone. I'm actually sitting

here in amazing Sun Valley Idaho. I'm doing some snowboarding. I'm part of Tony

Robbins, big platinum group. So getting all sorts of training here

and in the heart and and really how to do business a whole lot better.

But listen, over the last month, I've had a chance to meet an extraordinary

individual and today we're talking about bitcoin and so I want to introduce you

to an individual. In less than a year, with less than ten thousand dollars, made

over a million dollars and you know if you watched my first video, and you know that

I'm kind of skeptical about this whole cryptocurrency. It seems kind of crypto

seems kind of shady and I don't really know a whole lot about it so I thought

what better way to get educated than to interview a friend of mine and someone

that's actually done it they're not just talking about it from theory. And you

know there's a lot of get-rich-quick out there there's a lot of different

energies. Is this really a legitimate real

investment or not? So friends I want you to meet my friend Vitaliy, everybody,

Vitaliy's from Israel's that right? Absolutely and we met about a month ago

at one of Tony's other events and we knew, this is mastery, yeah and

my friend right here was not going come to this event. I said, "dude

Vitaliy, you have got to be here. So we were out actually hitting them out and see. I'm so glad

you can see I'm like totally red-faced today because I got a I got a face full

of Sun. And I was just sliding down the toughest mountain here in Sun Valley, it

was absolutely amazing. Yeah, so Vitaliy is a really really good

guy. So I've enjoyed getting to know him but Vitaliy I do have to be honest. I am

I'm nervous. I'm skeptical about this cryptocurrency because not a lot of

people understand it. I understand that you understand it, but there's not a lot

of training a lot of education out there. Yeah and so can you just start with a

couple of basics first of all your story. In less than a year, making a million

dollars? Is that true? Absolutely. I need to you, know pinch myself. You know, thank

you for inviting me Kris. It's a pleasure. You know, you're not the only

one who is skeptical about Bitcoin cryptocurrencies. Because when people

first hear about Bitcoin, like what is it? Is it real money? How does it work? What

is the wallet? How do I use it? How do I buy stuff with it? You know like those

different questions ran from my mind as well. Actually the first time I heard

about bitcoin well, I was traveling in the middle of

going to Las Vegas and it stopped in the Philippines we were doing business with

some other guy and he kind of like started telling me I bought a house and

mentioned actually in the Philippines with Bitcoin. I cashed out somewhere

Bitcoin. I bought a house and like, wow! You know, I like real estate that

sounds a little bit cray-cray. Exactly. You know, he bought a real estate with

real cash but if he sold some his bitcoin and bought in half in cash. You

know, so there is something to it. And at first, I completely didn't understand

what it is. Maybe it was because 4 a.m. in the morning. I had to catch a flight

in two hours. So you start explaining to me about computers, networks, ledger's. You

know, all of this technology or like what the heck are you talking about? So it

wasn't until like March 2017. I was driving a car, I watched a YouTube video

with one guy who's like, "I will always write with my subscribers whatever they,

I tell them to invest money into. They always grows, they were happy and this

is the year of Bitcoin you got to enter right now." This is the time, like maybe I

should listen to this guy. So, I remember this guy in the Philippines he got rich

was bitcoins and it happened to be like five minutes away from the place that I

used to live at a time. It was an embassy of Bitcoin in Israel. So like five

minutes biking distance. I got there the place

and I see like got a we had a person there like let's sit down explain to me

about Bitcoin how it works. So he helped me with a wallet and everything and

started off I put like 10 bucks into the ATM machine and got some Bitcoin my

wallet. It works. You know, so next thing I know, like how did I grow my wealth in

bitcoins. What are different things that I can deal with it because I started

learning everything I could about it and I understood it's a future of money. You

know, this is where the world is going. And the more I learn about it, the

more fascinated it became. You know and at first, when I got into it, I bought

like seven bitcoin and $1,100 two weeks later, it jumped to $1,900 and like wow,

this is good. And there's so many different like scams

and different things that I started noticing around this field. I'm like,

there's must be a better way. Okay. Now, so I just want to be clear. So you just got

started and you grew a very small amount of money. I think it was seven thousand

dollars? Yeah, I invested seven thousand, yeah. And ultimately that seven thousand dollars

ended up turning into now... it's over a million dollars. So over a million

dollars. So obviously this is something that's worked well for Vitaliy. You know,

before we talk about it. Is it too late? Is it a good investment?

You know, Vitaliy and I we're here spending an entire week listening to Ben

Bernanke which Tony Robbins has lined up and some of the other like Ray Dalio,

billionaire. Some other amazing individuals that are here just privately

teaching us about finance and wealth and the reality is, is that real estate is

such an amazing investment. And it's a core part of my strategy, but it's not my

only strategy. You've got to diversify. And real estate is a part of that

portfolio and Ray Dalio says that you need to actually be diversified over 15

different asset classes because at some point your life, an asset class is going

to tank. It's going to have a bad day and if you put all your eggs in one basket, it's

going to be a bad day for you too. But it doesn't have to be the case and that's

why bitcoin is interesting me. Not because I want to get rich quick or not

because I want to make a lot of money. But because, this asset class

diversification. So first of all, bitcoin is really just one of how many different

cryptocurrencies? Almost fifteen hundred right now. So bitcoin was the first in

2009. Everything got started with it. Now, there's over 1500. The market cap is

about four hundred forty billion right now. We are entering into the face of

over trillion-dollar this year 2018. People call Bitcoin a bubble, you know, it

doesn't backed by anything but, think about it. Dollar is not backed by anything.

We're not back by anything either. So let me ask you this. So, you're doing, I want to keep this video

as short and potent for you as possible. For my YouTube friends that are out

there. So let me just ask you. This idea with this cryptocurrency, what

actually, if there's no real value behind it and you were able to buy it at one

point at $1,100. What is Bitcoin, of a Bitcoin selling out right now? It's about

eleven thousand right now, the last time I checked. Okay, so it's 11 thousand

dollars and it's a very volatile. It is. Close to twenty thousand by the December

last year then back down to 6,000 or 11,000. Okay.

And we are getting this year. The prediction is about 25 to 50K by the

end of 2018 and overall if we were looking five ten years from now, it can

easily reach three to four hundred thousand dollars and when people hear

about those numbers like, why? you know, why would people pay for Bitcoin. Well,

bitcoin is divisible to a hundred million pieces and you know when you

understand that it's not that there's nothing backing it up. It's a whole

history of energy that has been put to create those bitcoins since 2009.

That's what Bitcoin represent and right now like just in Iceland alone, the

amount of energy put into creation of Bitcoin is greater than the whole

household consumption of electricity for the whole country. So...wow,

So, bitcoin, it is real. As we've been asking some of the financial experts. Like is

is it that a ponzi? Is it real? Is it here to stay? And

apparently, it is something very real a lot of the big financial names out there.

It is real. It is something that they do think is going to remain volatile, but it

is something that is going to keep growing. There's a good potential

long-term play there. What if someone wanted to educate

themselves more of tally on bitcoin. If they wanted to get more information. I

know that you've decided to basically put together some training and knowledge

and education that the public can access for free. Absolutely. And

what's the purpose of this free membership site? Yeah. So I created

Bitcoins Wealth Club to educate people how to, not just learn about Bitcoin.

Is this is the greatest transference of wealth the world has

ever seen but also, how to leverage it to earn it in multiple ways. You know, I'm

big on passive income streams and bitcoin diversification. So learning how to,

there's really three different major ways to grow your wealth in bitcoin.

Number one, is learn how to trade bitcoin for other cryptocurrencies back and

forth and grow your portfolio. Second, you need to leverage mining industries and

how to partner with other companies who are doing this together and in mine

bitcoin and third, is through crypto affiliate marketing. What I call it. Those

are the three major ways that you can profit with bitcoin. So I set up

gold to help people become Bitcoin millionaires and put all the resources

in one place for people that like myself, asking questions. What wallets to use, what

exchange to use, how it all works. So I put together the whole course. I

call the secrets to grow your wealth in bitcoins, that now the membership site

has grown to a hundred thirty thousand members worldwide and growing fast to

over a million members by the end of this year. This is my goal and really, it

is all everything like hard work for bitcoin, like how it all works. You know

because when people understand what is behind this. This is not a bubble that

you know bitcoin, you own a hundred percent of this money. Don't need PayPal,

you don't need third party service, you don't need to rely on the middleman, on

the banking system. It's instantaneous that you can transfer money using your

mobile phone. This is the internet of money and you are a hundred percent in

control of it and you know this supply and demand,

that's what play a role when bitcoin is like today's modern digital gold. You

know, but because it scares and the farther we go out there right now 79% of

bitcoin has been mined, by the year 2030 99% of bitcoin will be created and

they'll spend the rest out of years to create the last 1% of bitcoin. I got it.

Okay, so this currency that's been created, you're saying is like a real

physical currency like something you can hold. Yeah. It is an Internet of money. Yeah. This is

what Bitcoin. It's all networks. Kind of like the internet communicates

with a protocols. There is a Bitcoin protocol. There's a Bitcoin network and

we have participants in this network. The miners, the users, like you and me.

You know, people that are using this infrastructure. So all of this

communication is going on in this bitcoin network that follow certain

rules. Yeah. So obviously, there's a lot more to learn, but let's give them your

website. If you want to get more free information, before I give it, I want to

give you this rule. This is really important. The secret to building wealth

is to not have a get-rich-quick mentality. Even though Vitaliy made a

million dollars in a year. The reality is is that, you know, when the

bitcoin went down, you lost hundreds of thousands of dollars. And that's a part of the journey

as it goes... Is if you sold at the bottom, most people

do the opposite. They buy you the peak and they sell the bottom because they

panic. Yeah. That's the rest of you for losing money. Yeah and so I

think one of the rules that we would both agree on and share with you is that,

you need to diversify and you need to be over spread over different asset classes.

You don't put all your eggs in one basket. On the next video, I'll share with

you whether I am or am not going to invest in bitcoin based on some more

research that I'm going to do. But what I really want to share with you is that if

I choose to invest in bitcoin, I'm going to put an amount of money in that I'm

willing to lose, kiss goodbye and never feel sad about ever losing. Okay and the

reason why I do that is because I treat all my investments that way. And so you

got to be wise, you got to be smart, but this is an opportunity for I think you

to learn a little bit more Vitaliy, if they want to if they want to go to your

free membership site and learn from you then what's the website?

Yeah, so it's Bitcoins Wealth Club. Bitcoins Wealth Club. So I'm

just saying that because you got this awesome adorable Israel accent. I want to

make sure that everyone else did. so Bitcoins Wealth Club .Yeah, very easy

to remember. And you're absolutely spot-on on this. You know, don't put all

of your life savings into this. You know, you've got to be smart and it is volatile.

It is risky, especially if you don't know what you're doing. You know, most people

who are not sophisticated investors. You know, they're losing money here

and there. So you need to know what you're doing and it is important to

don't invest money that you're not willing to lose but the opportunities

here on the upside, yeah, is tremendous. You know, so...well, awesome. Listen

Vitaliy, I'm really glad. Thank you so much. I'm sure everyone watched this

videos super entertaining and educational hopefully for you to get

some more knowledge and even give you some additional tools. And as you're out

there, you know, click my website, hit the link, learn about what we're doing in

real estate. And then ultimately when you make money in real estate the way I have, you have to continue diversifying. because real estate has its sad days too

Because real estate has it's sad days too. You need to be spread across the board. You need to be smart, you need be wise. We

got a lot more wealth education coming up here on Limitless Wealth TV. And

Vitaliy, just I want you to know...One last thought, okay? Do it. You can become a

millionaire with just one Bitcoin potentially because there are 38 million

millionaires in the world and the overall bitcoins is 21 million bitcoins

ever will be created. So not even all the millionaires will be

able to hold one Bitcoin. So if you just have one, it's good. It's a good start.

Okay? you don't have to have 50 bitcoins to be a millionaire. So, start with

something. Start with whatever you can. Vitaliy, thank you so much brother,

appreciate you. Friends thank you so much again. That's you've got his website so

you can learn more about that, and then make sure that you are a subscriber that

you click the link and ring the bells so that me and my team can notify you. We've

got a few more videos coming out about bitcoin. I've got some more people that I

want to introduce you to. I think we're going to be seeing Vitaliy again so we can

really dig in on more questions. Please comment below on what you'd like to know

more about. Things you wish I had asked that I can watch and ask in the next

video. Take care my friends. Friends, I hope this information is useful for you.

Listen up, make sure you are a subscriber because obviously I talk about

everything wealth under the sun. Also lots of real estate. But I'm going to be

introducing more information on blockchain. Also more information on

cryptocurrency. Is it good, bad? How should you feel about it and make sure

that you don't miss out on one of the hottest things and at the same

understand at the same time understanding is that Vegas money like

is it going to be lost? Is it going to be gone? So make sure you subscribe and

we'll get more information coming your way.

Shocking Victory For Proponents Of Alternative Medicine

By Jon Rappoport

Breaking: In Australia, an effort to label all alternative (traditional, complementary)

medicine products as based on pseudoscience has failed.

Traditional remedies (much older than mainstream medicines) are defended as appropriate, and

can include health claims.

The Crazz Files, a major defender of health freedom in Australia, reports: In a major

win, the Federal Government has ignored the Australian Greens and anti-complementary medicine

activists like Doctor Ken Harveyand passed a reform package that protects traditional

medicine.

The Therapeutic Goods Amendment (2017 Measures No. 1) Bill, which passed Parliament on February

15, supports positive claims for complementary medicines based on traditional evidence, and

abolishes the current complaints system.

Greens voters were shocked to learn Greens Leader and General Practitioner, Senator Dr

Richard Di Natale was aligned with skeptics, whose platform is: There is no alternative

to [modern] Medicine.

One of his [Dr. Di Natales] concerns was that people were being misled by

traditional claims about the effectiveness of complementary medicine.

He, and the skeptics, wanted labels on complementary and traditional medicines to state: this

traditional indication is not in accordance with modern medical knowledge and there is

no scientific evidence that this product is effective. The Minister for Rural

Health, Senator Bridget McKenzie, told Di Natale: I think it is offensive and disrespectful

to those who practice traditional medicine.

For some, particularly those using Chinese medicine, the history of practising in that

traditional medicine paradigm goes back thousands of years.

Its been extensively refined, practised and documented and in many cases incorporated

into mainstream medicine.

So, a statement required by the Australian Government that the indication is not in accordance

with modern medical knowledge and that there is no scientific evidence will be seen as

arrogant and insensitive to those practising and using traditional Chinese medicines,

Senator McKenzie said.

Boom.

All right.

Now I want to treat readers to a brief analysis of modern medicine, the so-called scientific

system that is the only valid system. It is the system employed in Australia, America,

and virtually all countries in the world.

People who watch the news or read mainstream news have the impression that scientific

medical research is remarkably valid and always progressing.

Doctors and medical bureaucrats line up to confirm and ceaselessly push this view.

But they are concealing a dark truth.

Lets go to the record.

Here are two editors of two of the most prestigious and respected medical journals in the world.

During their long careers, they have read and scrutinized more studies than any doctor,

researcher, bureaucrat, or so-called medical blogger.

And this is what they have written:

ONE: It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that

is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical

guidelines.

I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two

decades as an editor of The New England Journal of Medicine. (Dr. Marcia Angell, NY Review

of Books, January 15, 2009, Drug Companies & Doctors: A Story of Corruption)

TWO: The case against science is straightforward: much of the scientific literature, perhaps

half, may simply be untrue.

Afflicted by studies with small sample sizes, tiny effects, invalid exploratory analyses,

and flagrant conflicts of interest, together with an obsession for pursuing fashionable

trends of dubious importance, science has taken a turn towards darkness

The apparent endemicity of bad research behaviour is alarming.

In their quest for telling a compelling story, scientists too often sculpt data to fit their

preferred theory of the world.

Or they retrofit hypotheses to fit their data.

Journal editors deserve their fair share of criticism too.

We aid and abet the worst behaviours.

Our acquiescence to the impact factor fuels an unhealthy competition to win a place in

a select few journals.

Our love of significance pollutes the literature with many a statistical fairy-taleJournals

are not the only miscreants.

Universities are in a perpetual struggle for money and talent (Dr. Richard Horton,

editor-in-chief, The Lancet, in The Lancet, 11 April, 2015, Vol 385, Offline: What

is medicines 5 sigma?)

There are many ominous implications in these two statements.

I will point out one.

Incompetent, error-filled, and fraudulent studies of medical drugsfor example, published

reports on clinical trials of those drugswould lead one to expect chaos in the field of medical

treatment.

And by chaos, I mean: the drugs cause widespread death and severe injury.

Again, if a person obtains his news from mainstream sources, he will say, But I see no evidence

of such a vast scandal.

That is a conspiracy of silence.

Because this widespread death and grievous harm HAS been reported.

Where?

In open-source medical literature.

For example: On July 26, 2000, the US medical community received a titanic shock, when one

of its most respected public-health experts, Dr. Barbara Starfield, revealed her findings

on healthcare in America.

Starfield was associated with the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.

The Starfield study, Is US health really the best in the world?, published in the

Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), came to the following conclusion,

among others:

Every year in the US, correctly prescribed, FDA approved medical drugs kill 106,000 people.

Thus, every decade, these drugs kill more than a MILLION people.

On the heels of Starfields astonishing findings, media reporting was rather perfunctory,

and it soon dwindled.

No major newspaper or television network mounted an ongoing Medicalgate investigation.

Neither the US Department of Justice nor federal health agencies undertook prolonged remedial

action.

All in all, those parties who could have taken effective steps to correct this ongoing tragedy

preferred to ignore it.

On December 6-7, 2009, I interviewed Dr. Starfield by email.

Here is an excerpt from that interview.

Q: What has been the level and tenor of the response to your findings, since 2000?

A: The American public appears to have been hoodwinked into believing that more interventions

lead to better health, and most people that I meet are completely unaware that the US

does not have the best health in the world.

Q: In the medical research community, have your medically-caused mortality statistics

been debated, or have these figures been accepted, albeit with some degree of shame?

A: The findings have been accepted by those who study them.

There has been only one detractor, a former medical school dean, who has received a lot

of attention for claiming that the US health system is the best there is and we need more

of it.

He has a vested interest in medical schools and teaching hospitals (they are his constituency).

Q: Have health agencies of the federal government consulted with you on ways to mitigate the

[devastating] effects of the US medical system?

A: NO.

Q: Are you aware of any systematic efforts, since your 2000 JAMA study was published,

to remedy the main categories of medically caused deaths in the US?

A: No systematic efforts; however, there have been a lot of studies.

Most of them indicate higher rates [of death] than I calculated.

Q: Did your 2000 JAMA study sail through peer review, or was there some opposition to publishing

it?

A: It was rejected by the first journal that I sent it to, on the grounds that it would

not be interesting to readers!

end of interview excerpt

Physicians are trained to pay exclusive homage to peer-reviewed published drug studies.

These doctors unfailingly ignore the fact that, if medical drugs are killing a million

Americans per decade, the studies on which those drugs are based must be fraudulent.

In other words, the medical literature is suspect, unreliable, and impenetrable.

WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT THE TWO ESTEEMED MEDICAL EDITORS I QUOTED ABOVEMARCIA ANGELL AND

RICHARD HORTONARE SAYING.

If you know a doctor who enjoys sitting up on his high horse dispensing the final word

on modern medicine, you might give him the quotes from Dr. Angell and Dr. Horton, instruct

him to read them, and suggest he get in touch with Angell and Horton, in order to discover

what has happened to his profession.

AMW346 Viral Marketing - Duration: 2:59.

Hello! Today I want to share with you about "viral marketing"

First of all, what is viral?

"viral" refers to something that spreads quickly and widely among its audience.

So, viral marketing refers to a method of creating marketing pieces that are memorable and attention-grabbing in our modern and always-connected world.

It utilizes social media, videos, text messaging, and other person-to-person methods to spread information about a products or services instead of just creating a commercial and putting on TV or radio.

In short, viral marketing is using the power of individuals sharing content to get messages out to as many people as possible, as quickly as possible, like a snowball.

Viral marketing is low costs, fast growth, not invasive and can increase the brand awareness quickly.

However, it is hard to measure, not repetitive and tough to create a successful one.

Now let's look at how Malaysia companies using video to undergo viral marketing campaign. First, Petronas.

Petronas will realise festive celebration advertisements which always won a following for their heartwarming real-life glimpses into the lives of ordinary Malaysians.

Among its advertisements, A Walk through Life, Piala Taman Thomas and Rubber Boys are my favourite ad videos.

These TV commercial are successful viral marketing because it gains a lot of likes and shares in

in Facebook and Youtube.

Besides that, it also become the words of mouth of Malaysians.

People start to discuss the lessons and values that Petronas want to bring to us.

In addition, viral marketing often relies on the help of an influencer, who has a large network of followers.

For example, do you remember the Oppo R9s ad video in 2016?

Lee Min-ho, a Korean heartthrob artist who have a lot of fans in Malaysia had been invited to be the official ambassador of Oppo R9s, with the cooperation of Malaysia artist, Min Chen had successful carry out the viral marketing.

So, this is an example of viral marketing by the help of influencer.

That's all from me. Thank you and see you

Why do some people prefer to be alone most of the time - Duration: 4:34.

Why do some people prefer to be alone most of the time

You may be wondering why your friend does not want to go with you.

You probably also expect that he talks to you, but he doesn't.

You also may think that he will share ideas in an important meeting, but he doesn't.

You probably notice that they have different behaviors just like other people.

These curiosity is frequently addressed in any social setting because there is always

someone who loves doing different things including staying away from people and remaining quiet.

If you are wondering why, there are some good reasons why people prefer their time to themselves.

Here is some of the reason.

1.

Lacking of social skills

Believe it or not, people have different natural social skills from the day they were born.

They get them from their parents, determining their basic social skills.

However, as the time passes by, they learn many things from people around them.

Obviously, people have different approach and result from any learning progress.

That also includes learning social skills.

Sometimes they even think themselves that their social skills are not good enough to

talk to others, making them reluctant to be around with people.

2.

Lacking of social interest

Social interest requires a communication or interaction between human beings.

People who prefer being alone just does not have any interest to such interaction.

They prefer having interaction with inanimate objects.

Some even prefer engagement with plants and animals instead.

It seems like people only make them frustrated, and that is why they choose to interact with

other things.

3.

Protective walls

People who prefer staying alone usually have dramatic motives on why they do so.

One of them is because they have experienced painful or hurtful interaction with others.

Staying low by avoiding people will keep them safe and sound mentally.

This helps them a lot to perform better in their life.

It is true that past problems can be the real trouble.

It creates wall that separates individuals.

However, it is also a matter of choice to break the walls.

4.

Introversion

Another element that may affect this behavior is introversion.

Before moving further, it is worth noting that introversion is not a social defect.

In fact, it is just a preference to stay low because of possible exhaustion from social

interaction.

Being introvert can be a great reason for making someone alone at his/her home.

Introverts prefer withdrawing from social interaction because of the stimulation that

they may get.

The more exposure to the social interaction, the more they start to feel uncomfortable.

In an interaction, introverts must listen, focus, and understand before they respond.

This can take a great deal of mind processing energy which makes introverts exhausted.

The exhaustion can pose several side effect ranging from stutter, speech impairment, losing

vocabularies, and ungrammatical utterance.

This is what makes introverts prefer staying low, alone in their favorite places.

Otherwise, they feel guilty and regret for not being able to contribute.

5.

Mental health

The last thing that makes people feel safe to be alone is mental health such as depression,

stress, and confusion.

There are so many things that make such condition happen.

However, it is important to realize that this condition requires self-recharging method

for curing the effect.

That is why people who have problem with their mental health must withdraw from society for

recovery.

All in all, that's the "Why do some people prefer to be alone most of the time".
