U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met with the North Korean senior official Kim Yong-chol

in New York on Thursday.

But despite this high-level meeting it still seems unclear how close or far the two sides

are in reaching a denuclearization deal.

Let's now take a look at what Pompeo had to say in his press briefing after the two officials

met.

"Today Vice Chairman Kim and I discussed how our countries could come together and take

advantage of the unique opportunity that our two leaders have created through their visions

of the future that they have so clearly articulated.

...In my conversations with Chairman Kim Jong Un in Pyongyang and today with Vice Chairman

Kim Yong Chol, I have been very clear that President Trump and the United States' objective

is very consistent and well-known: the complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization

of the Korean peninsula.

President Trump has also made it clear that if Kim Jong Un denuclearizes there is a brighter

path for North Korea.

We envision a strong, connected and secure prosperous North Korea that maintains its

cultural heritage but has integrated into the community of nations.

...This is a difficult, difficult challenge.

Make no mistake about it.

There remains a great deal of work to do, and we made progress here as well as at the

same time made progress in the other venues the conversations were taking place."

How To Strengthen Your Kurti's Slits | Attach Strip To Side Slits - Tailoring With Usha - Duration: 5:50.

if you didn't subscribe to my channel yet

then click on red button to subscribe and then click on bell button for latest notifications

hello friends, today m going to teach you how to attach side strips on slits for better finishing

we attach a strip on the side slits of kurti or kameez for strengthening and for better folding of slits

for this, first we take remaining fabric and cut 2 inch wide strip

and after that fold it like this, then do stitching on top of it, after this I'll proceed further

now take measurement of side slits to outer side, this is 2 inch, so we cut double of it i.e 4 inch loop for this slit

and we need two 4 inch strips/loops for both sides

now take this strip like this, and place it on stitching line in a straight manner

and sew it till fitting line, then rotate it 90 degrees and continue sewing again till starting point

keep in mind that this stitching doesn't cross the fitting line in the center

and now we do stitching again on the other upper side of same strip

after that, do same stitching on other side of the fitting line too

and during stitching, there should be no bulge formation in the strip

we sew the strip on both side of slit like this

and we do this on both sides, after completing stitching on other side I'll proceed further

after stitching strips, now we fold side slits

we do folding of side slits by temporary stitching and after that we do hand stitching

like this we insert strips on side slits for better finishing and strengthening

I hope you like this video, if so then hit like button

if you are new here then subscribe for more such videos

in next video I'll teach you a new cutting/stitching in a simple way..thank you :)

China supports contacts between North Korea-U.S. to achieve denuclearization - Duration: 0:49.

China is also talking about the flurry of diplomacy between North Korea and the U.S.

Regarding the pre-summit talks in New York, China's foreign ministry said today it supports

efforts by both sides to demonstrate goodwill and engage in positive interations.

Here's the ministry's spokesperson.

"We think it's necessary to attach importance to and solve North Korea's reasonable security

concerns while pushing forward denuclearization, which should be realized along with establishment

of a long-term effective peace mechanism for the peninsula."

She added that China, as a major party with an interest in Korean Peninsula issues and

as a signatory to the Korean War Armistice Agreement,.. will continue to do its part

to bring all sides to the table.

Why Don't We Just Make Water Chemically in a Lab ? - Explained . - Duration: 3:55.

Why Don't We Just Make Water Chemically in a Lab?

This is a well known fact that water is scarce.

Not any water, but the water which we can drink .

Although earth is majorly covered by water (water covers 71% of the surface of Earth), but out

of that water 97% of water is held by oceans which is saline i.e undrinkable.

The remaining 3% is also not so readily available.

Indeed, water is scarce.

So why can't we just make water chemically in laboratories?

We know the formula, right?

We know that it is formed by the combination of hydrogen and oxygen.

So why don't we do it already?

The problem with manufacturing water It is not as easy as it appears to be.

Combination of hydrogen and oxygen atoms is accompanied by release of tremendous amount of energy.

Hydrogen, being the simplest element in the world, consists of only 1 electron in its orbit.

Oxygen on the other hand, has 6 electrons in its outermost orbit, 2 short of a completely filled outermost shell.

There is an energy barrier which has to be overcome to bring these two elements together.

Also hydrogen is a highly flammable gas and oxygen supports combustion, so what happens when they come together, that too in large quantities?

Take a guess.

This chemical reaction, when occurs, produces a large amount of energy, which may amount to a full scale, deadly explosion.

This is exactly what happened in the Hindenburg Disaster in 1937.

Hindenburg Disaster .

The Hindenburg disaster took place as the German passenger airship LZ 129 Hindenburg caught fire and was

destroyed during its attempt to dock with its mooring mast.

It was found out that the fire was started by an electric spark which was caused by a buildup of static electricity on the airship.

As there was abundant oxygen in the air outside the airship,

it reacted rapidly with the hydrogen in the airship and a lethal explosion rocked the airship.

But yes, as a result of the chemical reaction, water was created.

Any solution?

In order to manufacture water to cater to the needs of such a large population on the planet,

the laboratories and the facilities required to contain such great and spontaneous emission of energy

would be too expensive to be practically and economically viable.

But yes, there is an alternative.

One way to 'make' water would be to extract the water that is already present in the air as water-vapor.

Using sheets of cooled metal, the air temperature can be rapidly dropped, allowing the water vapour to condense.

Whisson Windmill .

The Whisson Windmill does just that.

And it produces around 12,000 litres (2,600 gallons) of water in a day at a very low cost and almost no impact on the environment.

On a much smaller scale, something which is used in disaster-struck areas as a portable water-maker,

a generator can be used that can draw air through a cooled chamber, producing 545 litres in one day.

It is pretty much evident that water is not that easy to make.

So our best bet is to conserve the water that we already have access to.

So, Should We Still Try To Make Water Chemically In A Lab Or Not ?

Is There Any Much Easier Way To Do It .

What Do you Think About It ?

Two Koreas holding high-level talks at border village - Duration: 2:50.

(More on New York in just a second, but) Today at the inter-Korean border village of Panmunjom,

South and North Korea held their first high-level talks since April's historic summit.

The two sides had a lot to hammer out.

It was expected they would mainly be talking about how to follow through on the commitments

made in the Panmunjom Declaration.

Let's go to our Unification Ministry correspondent Oh Jung-hee, who's been following today's

high-level talks,... and joins us live from Seoul's Office for Inter-Korean Dialogue.

Jung-hee, what's the latest?

Good afternoon, Devin.

We're hearing that high-level delegations of the two Koreas are working to finalize

their joint press release.

Details of today's joint press statement are expected to be released soon.

Today's high-level talks took place at the Peace House, located on the South Korean side

of the border village of Panmunjom.

Seoul had a five-member delegation led by Unification Minister Cho Myoung-gyon... and

Pyongyang, too, had a five-member delegation... led by Ri Son-gwon, the head of the North's

inter-Korean affairs committee.

Vice ministers of transport and railways from both Koreas... as well as those in charge

of sports also attended today's talks.

Delegations saw eye-to-eye in that the April 27th summit agreement has to be carried out

quickly and systematically.

So though we don't have the press release out, I believe we have a rough idea about

what were some of the key talking points between the two Koreas.

Tell us what's been discussed there.

Now, the very first agenda Seoul and Pyongyang touched upon was establishing a joint liaison

office in the North Korean city of Kaesong -- where officials from both Koreas will be

stationed.

South Korea suggested the office be installed in Kaesong, where Seoul and Pyongyang used

to have a joint industrial comples.

Another topic discussed and agreed by the two Koreas was holding a joint event on June

15th -- which marks 18 years since the first inter-Korean joint statement was issued back

in 2000.

Pyongyang proposed the event be held in South Korea.

Plus, South and North Korea were eager to set the dates for a string of inter-Korean

talks.

These ranged from military talks for lowering tensions, Red Cross talks for holding reunions

of war-torn families,... and sports talks for forming unified teams for the 2018 Asian

Games.

Seoul also said that it's willing to proceed with forestation projects in North Korea...

and begin joint investigations for connecting railways between the two sides.

That's all I have for now, but I'll have more updates about the joint press statement itself

in our later newscasts.

Devin.
