We don't have kids so our babies are our dogs and our business.

I even have a dog bed on my desk for our little ones so they're very involved in the whole

process.

I can remember 10 different road trips where we would talk about the business we were going

to open.

We had all of these ideas and then finally it just fell into our lap honestly and here

we are.

A lot of the times Nicole will hand me a sketch of an entire kitchen or some built-ins and

I drive out of my way to go to Menards.

For our kitchen projects Menards pretty much has it all.

Everything from lumber to paints and stains, tools.

I like the Menards lumberyard because it's stored inside, it's stored flat.

Just the way they take care of their wood is second to none.

It's really become a place where we get everything, no matter the project.

Our niche has become coming up with unique ways to use weird nooks, crannies and corners

that the two-and three-and four-family houses have in St. Louis.

Being able to envision something and being able to work with your husband to create that

is empowering.

Standing back and seeing what we've created is really the payoff of the whole process.

I'm just amazed at how far we've come in such a short amount of time.

Being a maker is all about controlling your own destiny and it really truly just feels

limitless.

CATS Movie Adaptation?!? | Fan Reaction - Duration: 11:31.

Hi everyone. So I was in the middle of filming a booktube video when I got this

text from my sister-in-law. So it's just a link to a BuzzFeed article titled

Taylor Swift Is Starring In The Movie Version Of Cats Because Why Not? and it

has a picture of Taylor Swift and the character of Victoria. I need to tell you

how I feel about this news and just kind of the whole Cats movie in general. I've

been avoiding the topic because I thought if I ignored it it would go away.

So I've always felt a bit annoyed with people who are super super elitist, super

super purist, with whatever their fandom is that they can't let other people

enjoy it in their own way. Having your special version of your

thing that you're super purist about and everything else around that piece of

property or fandom (or what have you) is is not...it's not the "real" version of it.

Like, this is, you know, and like Star Wars fans come to mind. Where the

newer films are like: "Oh that's not the 'real' Star Wars." you know it's: "That...no

that doesn't count. No those, those fans don't know what they're talking about.

This is the pure version." And that just always kind of bugged me a little bit

too and I could never like, understand like, why don't you just let people love

the thing in whatever way they love it? And you know, and whatever comes next in

in the fandom, in the...in the, in the universe. That is until the news of the

Cats movie came about...and suddenly I understood those people and I understood

those feelings of wanting to protect this thing you love from outside forces

changing it. Ohhh and making it something that isn't, that isn't "real." And yeah, and

this has even happened within the Cats fandom before and I've been on the other side.

Being like: "Hey change...change happens. That's, that's a part of...it's a part of

musical theater. Shows evolve, you know. Not to call anyone out, but I do know a

lot of the UK fans aren't really into the revival, the Broadway revival that

happened. Because it's different, 'cause things changed, choreographers changed,

certain songs weren't in it, certain songs switched around a bit. And a lot of

people who had seen the London version more times than anything else didn't

really like this new Broadway one. And I love the new Broadway version. I thought

it was wonderful. I really loved everything that they did with that but I

understand why some people don't. Because with the news of this movie, I just...I'm

just scared, is what it comes down to. I'm scared that it's going to be very bad.

And I'm not even scared for myself as a fan being like: "You ruined my thing."

Although one of the thoughts I have had was: "Keep your paws off my Jellicles." But...

you know it's more from the outside perspective. Because here's the thing, if

the movie is bad it will not only let fans down but it will also give just

that much more ammo to all the haters who love making fun of Cats, who love to

hate on the musical, who love to hate on the fans. And this isn't something that

is like a rare thing. Anytime I come into contact with someone from the theatre

community there's always...there's always someone who just...is just ruthless with

the, like: "Why would you like that show? Oh, oh." like, like just disgusted at the

idea of someone loving the musical Cats. And so if the movie is really bad this

will just give them so much more fire to just, you know: "Of course it's terrible

because the musical is terrible." Like: "What were they expecting?" You know, and

I'm just not looking forward to that. I'm not looking forward to all of that, you

know, negative feedback that I just know it's gonna happen. But see that here's

the thing too. I grew up, I didn't grow up watching it over and over again in

London. Because I grew up in the States. I did see it in London once 18 years ago

and that was the first time I saw it live. So I did have that experience. It

makes sense why it's so loved and why other versions don't always add up to it

in a lot of people's eyes. I get it. I really do. But for me the version that I

grew up on was the video. The filmed stage production that was on Great

Performances on PBS in 1998. This, this is 'my cats,' right. This is my version of cats

and a lot of the more purist fans say that well some of the characters names

are wrong and the roles are a little bit different. And you know, certainly there's

all those editing errors. Oh boy, those are fun to do little drinking games to.

This isn't everyone's Cats, but it's my Cats. So maybe there'll be kids out there

who will see this movie and for them that'll be their Cats. And through seeing

this movie that will bring them in to the fandom of Cats. And they'll get to

experience all the other versions, via clips and this video and photos. And

they'll kind of get exposed to the whole world of it. And it'll be thanks to the

movie. So in that sense, I'm not completely against the idea of the film.

I'm just worried and they recently released some people that are in the

cast. They listed four people who are in the cast. I'm gonna try to guess who

they're playing. So the first one, of course, is Taylor Swift. Who my sister

Allie loves. She's a big Taylor Swift fan. I...I like 'nothing' her. Like, she's

fine. I don't...I'm not...I...meh, fine, whatever. In the little preview image she's put

next to Victoria which was like initially my thought. But they don't say

any of the cast and who they're playing in the article so...but let's say she was

Victoria. That wouldn't makes sense to me because Victoria doesn't have any

singing solos. Although apparently that has also been in the

rumor mill. There's going to be new songs and Victoria's gonna have a bigger part and

she's gonna have a song. So maybe that's Taylor?

Jemima might work 'cause Jemima does have singing parts but not a ton. Bombalurina

might make the most sense. Another person they listed was Jennifer Hudson

whom I believe is going to be Grizabella. Because she can sing and that just makes

sense to me. Then they list James Corden and I just...I don't know. Like, here's,

here's why I'm a little hesitant about James Corden. He...'cause he does have a

background in musical theater. Like, he's got chops on him, right? But every time I

think of him in Cats all I can picture is his Andrew Lloyd Webber crosswalk musical.

Which, if you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about. They were wearing actual

Cats costumes and wigs but their wigs don't match the costume they're wearing.

Like I think maybe it was James, someone had like one costume, a different

characters wig, and like Old Deuteronomy's beard. And it was just like, bizarre and

there was multiple Macavitys and it was it was just so weird. And they didn't

have time to do makeup, obviously, because they're doing all the other or some

other Andrew Lloyd Webber shows. So they put on these like plastic Halloween

store like cat muzzles. Which just, you always see that when people parody Cats.

They like do, like, prosthetic-y things and it's like: "No, that's not Cats.

It's, it's face paint." But you know, I get, I get like why. And of course like the

average person watching wouldn't realize that the wigs and the costumes are all

mismatched and everything. But that's what I picture when I think of James

Corden in Cats. And it's just, I can't help but laugh at that. So I don't know.

Who would he play? Like, I just don't understand if...'cause if, okay, if they're

doing this where they're actually like in costume dancing. I can't picture him

in any role. Maybe Bustopher Jones?Maybe Old

Deuteronomy? Like roles that don't really dance. But maybe he can dance?

I don't really know. Maybe he can dance, maybe he would be Alonzo or Munkustrap.

I don't know. But see then that's the other thing. Like,

are they doing the CGI thing? Which is another rumor I have heard. You know,

in the same way that they're redoing the Lion King with an amazing cast of voice

actors. But it's all gonna be CG. Which isn't...people are saying it's like

live-action Disney movies, but if it's all animals and they're all CG that's not

live-action, that's just CG Lion King. With a new cast, except for James Earl

Jones who's reprising Mufasa. Yeah! I don't know, if they do it...like that would make

more sense. Because then it would be...they wouldn't have to also dance. It would

just be lending their voices to the cats. How would they do that? Like are they

making CG dancers or are these... actually gonna be like, you know, cat cats?

Which really wouldn't make sense to me either because so much of this musical

is about dancing. But I have to mention the last one and that's Sir Ian McKellen.

Who I love, he's Gandalf. So that, that, that's my little like, light.

And like maybe, it's gonna be good. I don't know. I instantly thought of him as

Gus because again, I grew up on the movie version where another Sir, Sir John Mills,

plays Gus. But maybe he's old Deuteronomy?

But, I don't, I can't really picture that. So okay if you're a Cats fan, which I

know some of you are, please let me know in the comments what you think about the

Cats movie and this new casting news. Do you share my sentiments? Which are all

over the place, let's be real. Or are you like, one way or the other?

And if you're not a Cats fan and you happen to be watching this video

anyways, I'm an open book about this whole thing. So please ask

any questions you have. And yeah...oh gosh. Please let it be good! Like, please let it

be good! Okay. Cats. Jellicles. Meow.

- My favorite moment of Donald Trump visiting the U.K.

Was how the British journalists

didn't know how to handle him,

because he had an interview with The Sun, right,

which is not like they're against him.

They're a conservative newspaper in the United Kingdom,

and would, like, very extreme headlines,

and then he completely denied everything that they reported

about him the next day. (audience chuckles)

And then, like, I was watching one of the journalists,

How To Polish and Protect A Brand New Car! - Mustang GT - Chemical Guys - Duration: 7:49.

What do you call a fish with two knees?

I don't know.

Two knee fish!

The other jokes weren't going to be good, I was going to say something pretty bad.

Unintelligible*

Welcome back to the Detail Garage guys, Joseph here along with Nick.

We are getting ready to do the final touches on this 2018 Mustang.

So what's the plan for today?

Like we had mentioned in the last video where we washed and clayed it, we saw that there

are some fine scratches and we are going to polish those out using Slick Finish.

After claying it and polishing it we need to protect the paint because we have exposed

the pores of the paint to all kinds of contamination and fallout.

So, we are going to apply some JetSeal which is going to give us a durable layer of protection

for up to 12 months.

I love JetSeal so much, JetSeal is great!

With the hydrophobic properties that it has it is really going to repel any water, bird

droppings and anything else.

It's like adding an extra little shield around the car.

Exactly, the purpose is to shield the vehicle.

On any painted surfaces, chrome and glass, anything that is painted, shiny or clear that

you want to protect and enhance.

Definitely, really looking forward to doing this.

Me too, so what do we have here.

The TORQ 10FX.

Trusty TORQ 10FX with a flexible backing plate along with the white polishing pad which we

are going to go ahead and use along with Slick Finish.

Why do we have a flexible backing plate?

For the curvature of the car, if you notice this car is not a brick Nick.

You do have some very nice body lines and what this does is allows for some flex which

is why we call it a flexible backing plate.

It'll help us around the curves of the hood and body lines, it is a must have when you

are dealing with a vehicle with voluptuous curves.

Then we have JetSeal over here and we will apply it with this Blue Hex-Logic Pad which

can be used to apply glaze, sealant and wax.

This applies a fine coat which saves time, effort as well as product so it is easier

to apply with the machine on the lowest speed setting and then buff off the spent product.

To do that, I chose the lovely color Purple Happy Ending Towel.

I think purple and orange go together nicely.

Purple is one of my favorite colors.

Color of royalty, I like that Nick learn something new everyday.

Ultra soft Happy Ending Towel is definitely another must have when you're dealing with

a special vehicle.

One thing we overlooked here is the Pad Conditioner which moisturizes the pad to prevent excess

heat but also moisturizing the chemical so that it can thoroughly break down and do its

job properly.

That's right, keep it moist...

So now we're going to get right into it, there ya have it.

Well guys there ya have it.

You can see that by using Slick Finish with a White Pad and TORQ 10FX we quickly and easily

removed those fine scratches and swirls for a factory fresh shine.

A lot of you are wondering, I was even asked today, if it is okay to use a wax before sealant?

Slick Finish has a very fine amount of wax but it is so fine that it is perfectly acceptable

to apply a sealant afterwards.

I've been asked before, what is the proper sequence of application and the recommend

process is glaze, sealant and finish with wax.

Like I mentioned there is a fine amount in Slick Finish so it is okay to top it with

JetSeal to enhance shine but also to add paint protection.

After waiting about fifteen minutes we buffed it off using these soft Happy Ending Towels,

this is a great way to insure that the finish isn't harmed.

These are great to keep in the car for a quick detail to pick up the light dirt and debris.

So, if you like this car or this video be sure to give it a thumbs up.

Joseph do you have anything to add?

It's been a great time working with you Nick, always a pleasure.

I don't even consider this work this is a dream, a living dream.

Give Joseph some love if you're in the Los Angeles area, come stop bye Detail Garage

them down below.

Top 10 Convicts Who Freaked Out After Given A Life Sentence - Duration: 6:56.

How's it going all of you most amazing top 10ers?

I'm your host Landon Dowlatsingh and welcome back to another most amazing video.

Before we get started I want to know, what do you think would be the worst crime to commit?

Let me know your answers in the comment section below.

There are a lot of criminals who commit horrible and evil crimes.

So, when it is time to face their verdicts, a lot of these criminals have different intense

reactions to their sentencing.

So here are the top 10 convicts who freak out after given a life sentence.

Starting us off in at number 10 with a Mother and daughter's desperate plea.

An 18-year-old teenager was sentenced to 20 years in prison after she used a dating app

to set up a robbery that resulted in another teenager getting shot.

When the Judge handed down her sentence, the girl's mother dropped to the floor, crying

out with extreme grief.

The teenage girl was screaming for her mother and begging the judge to give her a lighter

sentence.

Here is the clip

Head banger comes in at number 9.

Brandon Spencer is serving a life sentence for opening fire at a Halloween party at the

University of Southern California.

He was charged with four counts of attempted murder and this was his reaction to his arraignment.

Number 8 brings us to Two females who freak out after receiving a life sentence.

These two women collapsed in court after they were both handed life sentences for the death

of a 3-year-old girl.

Shortly after the judge read their sentencing, the fell to the floor with emotional outcries

and they had to be wheeled out of the court room.

Moving into number 7.

Jahleel Hoskins pleaded guilty to second degree murder and tampering with evidence after he

violently murdered a mother of five and dumped her body in a trash dumpster.

When the judge ordered him to serve a life sentence without the possibility of parole

he threw the podium towards the judge and he had to be dragged out of the court room

by the deputies.

Watch

Man fights with deputies comes in at number 6.

A 19 year old received a sentence of life imprisonment after he shot and killed another

man in an attempt to rob him.

The convicted killer was still hopeful that he would at least get the chance of parole

but when the judge said that parole was out of the question, it sparked an aggressive

outburst.

Number 5 takes us to a Man who threatens to kill the judge.

During his trial, Juan Rodriguez was being convicted of murder for stabbing a nurse at

a mental health facility.

Instead of making any last minute pleas, he threatened to kill the judge if she didn't

let him out of jail.

Yeah, that's probably not the smartest thing to say to a judge who has your fate in her

hands.

A 19 year old man went into an aggressive rage after a jury sentenced him to death for

a murder and this comes in at number 4.

He began knocking down chairs before he was tackled by dozens of courtroom officers who

eventually dragged him out of the court room.

Take a look at his outburst.

Stun gun shocks its way into number 3.

Andrew Wirth was charged with first degree murder after he shot and killed a police officer.

His bail was set at $1 million dollars and after the judge sentenced him, this is how

he reacted.

The officers had to use an electric stun gun to calm him down before they carried him out

of the court room.

Number 2 brings us to Michael Marin.

After he was found guilty of Arson and almost facing a life sentence behind bars, he placed

his hands over his mouth and swallowed something.

A few minutes later, he began gagging and he died in the court room.

A toxicology report discovered that he had poisoned himself with cyanide after he heard

the verdict of his sentencing.

A Violent man makes it into number 1.

A judge sentenced Marcial Anguiano to 40 years in prison for aggravated assault after he

cut his niece with a butcher knife.

After he heard the sentencing, he used a thin blade from a safety razor and alit his throat

in an apparent suicide attempt.

He survived but he will probably receive more time for sneaking contraband into the courtroom.

Well there you guys have it…

Miles Jai on the 'Furious' Michael Jackson Song He Loves | Soundtracked 💿 | TRL - Duration: 4:30.

- Hey y'all, Miles Jai here,

and here are five songs that soundtracked my life.

So, my number one song would be Savior,

by my scene queen, Lights.

Basically, when I was graduating,

or lack thereof,

during 2011, she came out with this song,

I think a little bit earlier before.

so I just ended up being my own savior.

My number two song would be I-2-I,

it's that song from A Goofy Movie.

That to me, was Michael Jackson, but in cartoon form,

with a little bit of Prince mixed in there.

Honestly, Goofy Movie's a black movie.

You can't tell me different.

They were black.

Let's just settle that right here and now.

If you have an argument with me,

come to my DMs on Twitter, and I'll be happy to block you.

Whenever that song comes on,

just joy vibrates all throughout my body.

My number three song would be Scream by Michael Jackson.

Ooh!

That was the first time that I

was physically and mentally just pulled

by a very furious sounding song.

I hated screamo, I wasn't into anything that sounded,

less than flowery,

just pick up anything and just thrash it around.

How autonomous flying taxis could change the way you travel | Rodin Lyasoff - Duration: 8:04.

I love airplanes.

Oh -- I love airplanes.

So, when I went to college in the late 90s,

it was obvious that I was going to study aerospace.

And you wouldn't believe how many people told me,

"Oh no, not aerospace.

Aerospace is going to be boring,

everything in aerospace has already been done."

Well, they were a little bit off the mark.

And in fact, I think the next decade

is going to be another golden age for aviation.

For one thing, and this is where I get excited,

flight is about to get a lot more personal.

So, a little compare and contrast.

In the last century,

large commercial airplanes have connected cities across the globe.

And 100 years ago,

it would have been unthinkable for all of us

to fly here from around the world for a five-day conference.

But we did, and most of us probably without a second thought.

And that's a remarkable achievement for humanity.

But on a day-to-day basis, we still spend a lot of time in cars.

Or actively trying to avoid it.

Some of my best friends live in San Francisco,

I live in Mountain View, about 40 miles away.

We're all busy.

At the end of the day,

we're separated by something like two hours of heavy traffic.

So frankly, we haven't seen each other in a few months.

Now, I work in downtown San Jose, which is near the airport.

And there are actually days when I can leave work,

get on a plane and fly to Los Angeles

faster than I can drive to San Francisco.

Cities are only getting more populated,

the roads are full, and it's really difficult to expand them.

And so in a lot of places,

there really aren't a lot of good solutions

for getting around traffic.

But what if you could fly over it?

The sky is underutilized,

and I would argue it will never be as congested as the roads are.

First of all, you've got a whole other dimension,

but also just safety considerations and air-traffic management

will not allow bumper-to-bumper traffic in the sky.

Which means, in many cases,

flying can be a long-term, compelling alternative

to traveling on the ground.

So imagine this:

you call an Uber, it takes you to a nearby landing spot --

we call these vertiports --

there's an airplane waiting for you there,

flies you over all of the traffic in the middle,

and on the other side, another Uber takes you to your friend's house.

And I said Uber,

but I really think we need to congratulate the Lyft branding team

for their forward thinking in choosing their brand.

(Laughter)

So in that example,

OK, there are a few extra steps, I admit.

But it's 30 minutes versus two hours,

it costs around 60 dollars,

and you get to fly.

We're not there yet,

but we are a lot closer than you might think.

So one of the first things we need

is we need an aircraft that can take off and land in small spaces

and quickly take you where you want to go.

And helicopters can do that today,

but traditionally, helicopters have been just a little bit too expensive,

just a little too hard to pilot

and just a little too noisy to be used for daily transportation in cities.

Well, electric flight and autonomy are changing that.

Electric flight, in particular,

unlocks new possibilities for vehicle configurations

that we just could not explore in the past.

If you use electric motors,

you can have many of them around the aircraft,

and it doesn't add a lot of extra weight.

And that gives you redundancy and safety.

And also, they are cleaner, cheaper and quieter

than internal combustion engines.

Autonomy allows the transportation network to scale,

and I actually think it makes the aircraft safer.

Commercial flights are already automated for most of their duration,

and I believe there will come a day

when we won't even trust an airplane that required a human to fly.

So, one of our teams at A3

wanted to see just how close this future really was.

So they built and flew a prototype of one such vehicle.

And they made a point of only using

mature, commercially available technologies today.

We call it Vahana.

It's fully electric.

It takes off and lands vertically, but flies forward like a regular airplane.

It's fully self-piloted.

You push a button, it takes off, flies and lands, all by itself.

The prototype that you see here

is designed to carry a single passenger and luggage.

And it can go about 20 miles in 15 minutes.

And our estimate for a trip like that is it would cost around 40 dollars,

which you can really build a business around.

It has multiple redundant motors and batteries,

you can lose one, it will continue flying and land normally.

It's pretty quiet.

When it's flying overhead, it will be quieter than a Prius on the highway.

It's intelligent and has cameras, lidar and radar,

so it can detect and avoid unexpected obstacles.

And the team really focused on making it efficient,

so the batteries are small, light, and they last longer.

For reference, the Vahana battery

is less than half the size of a Tesla Model S battery.

It's about 40 kilowatt-hours.

And you can hot swap the batteries in just a few minutes.

And I do think that in a few years,

people will be comfortable getting by themselves

in a self-piloted, electric, VTOL air taxi.

But the team is busy working on the next version,

which is going to carry at least two passengers

and fly quite a bit farther.

But more importantly, there are over 20 companies around the world

working on vehicles just like this one right now.

My best guess is in the next five years,

you'll start seeing vertiports in some cities,

and little airplane icons on your ride-sharing apps.

And it might begin with a dozen,

but eventually, we could have hundreds of these,

flying around our cities.

And it will fundamentally transform our relationship with local travel.

In the past century, flight connected our planet,

in the next, it will reconnect our local communities,

and I hope it will reconnect us to each other.

Thank you.

(Applause)

Chris Anderson: OK, so when these things first roll out --

right now, it's a single person aircraft, right?

Rodin Lyasoff: Ours is, yes.

CA: Yours is.

I mean, someone comes out of their car,

the door opens, they get in, there's no one else in there.

This thing takes off.

Could we do a poll here?

Because these are early adopters in this room.

I want to know who here is excited

about the idea of being picked up solo in an auto-flying --

Well, there you go!

RL: It's pretty good.

CA: That is pretty awesome,

half of TED is completely stark staring bonkers.

(Laughter)

RL: So, one of the things we're really focusing on

is, really, the cost.

So you can really wrap a business around that.

And so, that's why some of the features are really driven by price.

And the 40-dollar price tag is really a target that we're aiming for.

Which should make it accessible to a larger crowd than this one.

CA: The biggest blockage in terms of when this rolls out

is probably not the technology at this point -- it's regulation, right?

RL: That's probably true, yes, I would agree with that.

The technology need to mature in terms of safety,

to get to the safety levels that we expect from aircraft.

But I don't think there are any blockers there,

just work needs to get done.

CA: So, first, this is ride sharing.

Are we that far away from a time

when lots of people have one of these in their garage

and just kind of, go direct to their friend's house?

RL: My personal view is that ride sharing actually allows you to operate

that entire business much more efficiently.

You know, there are millennials that say they never want to own a car.

I think they'll probably feel even stronger about aircraft.

So --

(Laughter)

I really think that the network scales and operates a lot better

as a ride-sharing platform,

also because the integration with air-traffic management

works a lot better if it's handled centrally.

CA: Cool. Thank you for that.

RL: Thank you. CA: That was amazing.

Make It With Menards - Joe Schroeder: Tile Craftsman - Duration: 1:33.

I grew up in a small farm community in rural Missouri where everyone knows each other.

My property is an extension of me.

Seeing nature can be inspiring.

I want to make things that can mold well with nature.

I go to Menards on a weekly basis.

Menards has everything you need whether you're a weekend warrior or a daily professional.

And that's something that I have to always look at when I'm making something.

You know I have to use products and materials that will last.

At 19, I applied for a job as an apprentice mosaicist.

I knew that's what I wanted to do.

You only live once so you have to acknowledge the mark you leave.

And I believe if you're aware of that you're going to be more intentional with every moment.

Glass mosaics are just about always a challenge.

If you break it down, mosaics are just tiles.

But you have the ability to take different sizes, different colors and make something

astounding.
