Good afternoon.

Today we are holding a joint meeting of the Council for [the Development of Physical Culture and] Sport

and the Supervisory Board of the 2018 Russia Organising Committee's Supervisory Board.

I suggest we discuss the issues of the heritage of the FIFA World Cup.

And this heritage is really large, if not enormous.

I am referring not only to sports arenas, airports, roads, infrastructure facilities and the development of our cities but also

to the humanitarian, human dimension, the growth in interest of the younger generation and basically people of all ages in sport,

the friendly attitude of people from different countries towards Russia and their desire to return to this country again.

Of course, like after the Sochi Olympic Games, we need to map out specific measures that will allow us to effectively use these modern stadiums, fields and sports grounds that we built for the World Cup.

For Russia, the World Cup has been the biggest international sporting event.

The preparations took eight years.

It required serious investment and the efforts of hundreds of thousands of people.

As promised, we organised it at the highest level and its success is now an objectively recognised fact.

I congratulate all those who were involved in the preparations and management of the games.

I would like to thank once again everyone: workers, engineers, city press centres, and the hospitality industry, and all those that ensured the security of the arenas and streets, transport and the fan fest zones.

I would like to give special thanks to the regions that hosted the games, their governors, the 2018 Russia Organising Committee and, of course, our wonderful volunteers.

I have already had the pleasure of meeting with them; some of them are here.

Thank you very much.

Russia gave the world an unforgettable holiday.

It has already gone down in history as one of the most spectacular and unpredictable from the sporting point of view,

and also the most comprehensive FIFA World Cup, and will forever be remembered for its unmatched atmosphere of friendliness and unity, and acts of empathy and assistance from all sides.

I consider it important to establish a commemorative FIFA World Cup in Russia medal and use it to decorate those who made a significant contribution to this ambitious project.

I would like to note the solid and uncompromising play of our team, which gave Russian fans the long-awaited joy of victory.

Where is the coach?

Mr Cherchesov, thank you very much.

The head coach, the entire coaching staff and the support system, and the players themselves – everyone fought hard.

Everyone did their best and played as a team.

They impressed us with their perseverance, persistence and high quality of play.

It is important to maintain that fighting spirit and unity.

The UEFA Nations League and UEFA Euro 2020 are coming next.

We should be training for these games the same way we trained for the World Cup, not just players and coaches.

As you may be aware, several UEFA Nations League and UEFA Euro 2020 matches will be held in St Petersburg, Sochi, Rostov-on-Don and here in Kaliningrad.

I would like the relevant agencies, regional heads to ensure the quality of these events, especially since we now have this great positive experience

and unique innovations that our country has implemented and which received high praise from FIFA and World Cup visitors.

That includes, among other things, the video assistant referee (VAR) system, which was used for the first time during the football championship and implemented by our specialists,

and also the free travel for ticket holders to the host cities to attend matches during the championship and, most importantly, the visa-replacing Fan ID cards.

Please analyse all the regulations adopted specifically for the championship for their possible capturing in legislation for subsequent use,

for creating convenient conditions for our people and for our foreign guests, with a special focus on the Fan ID.

Many countries and international organisations plan to adopt our experience, and we must build on it in any way we can.

Director of the FSB, Mr Bortnikov, who is here, reported that our colleagues, that we worked with in security, showed great interest in our plan.

Also, Fan IDs can be used to update the visa regulations, which we should do anyway, to remove the barriers and procedures that are a hassle for people.

Importantly, the championship not only eliminated stereotypes but also raised a wave of genuine interest in Russia,

which, I repeat, along with the growing popularity of football, is a landmark of its intangible legacy.

I am sure that we must show an example of openness and support the wish of thousands of fans to return to our country

and learn more about our culture, nature and the traditions of our families, relatives and children.

It has already been decided to extend visa-free travel for Fan ID holders until January 1 of next year.

Also, there are other ideas for improving the visa regime.

We will talk about this later.

The infrastructure that we created, the arenas, have received positive feedback from FIFA, the teams, the spectators, the journalists and our citizens.

Obviously, these World Cup facilities must continue operating at full capacity after the World Cup.

This is what they were built for.

I ask you to bear in mind the task of effectively using this sports infrastructure when working on amendments to the federal budget for 2018 and to reflect it in the budget for 2019–2021.

We will continue supporting World Cup infrastructure development programmes for five years to help them become self-sufficient by 2024

and serve as centres for the development of the cities, as well as social, business and cultural life.

Here, we can rely on our own experience of effectively managing the heritage of major international sports competitions and take advantage of the best international practices.

We will discuss this at length today as well.

Among other things, I ask the Ministry of Sport to report on the mechanisms and schedules for the transfer of the training facilities

and stadiums to the regions and on the establishment of children's football centres that we planned to set up on the basis of the World Cup infrastructure.

In conclusion, two more important points related to sports in general.

First, I would like to note the effectiveness of the independent public anti-doping commission headed by IOC honorary member Vitaly Smirnov.

The goals that we set have been achieved and the constructive requirements set forth by WADA and the IOC have been taken into account.

We are fulfilling our national plan to fight doping in sports.

And we expect our partners to take reciprocal steps.

Second, the new membership of the Council and the new format of its activity have been approved.

Four interdepartmental commissions have been envisaged: on coordination, control, international competitions, and the promotion of adaptive sports.

And also, three working groups: on security, the development of sports medicine and the improvement of sports legislation.

I am happy to welcome the Council's new members and want to wish them every success.

Let's get down to work.

Mr Kolobkov, you have the floor.

But before we start, I would like to congratulate all the chess players in our country and the whole world on International Chess Day.

I would like to say in conclusion thatthis project was a success.

We should not treat it as the completion of something, but rather the beginning of something new and large-scale, for which we have the experience, capacity and need.

The main thing is to continue to act in the same spirit for a long time to come.

As for football, I have already mentioned this but I want to repeat it: serious matches are coming up soon.

The first tournament of the UEFA Nations League will take place from September 2018 until June 2019 (it is common knowledge, actually).

It will be held once every two years.

Let me draw your attention to how it will be organised.

The teams will be distributed in four leagues, A, B, C and D depending on their level and ability.

According to the rating, the Russian national team got into group B.

According to the results of the draw, the Russian team's rivals are the Swedish and Turkish national teams,

while our rivals in the centralised friendly matches, which will be sponsored by UEFA now, are the teams of the Czech Republic and Germany.

These are really major matches.

Now the qualifying tournament for the UEFA European Championship.

Let me remind you, the draw to determine the make-up of the entry list will take place in Dublin on December 2, 2018, qualifying matches will take place from March 21 until November 19, 2019,

and the final stage UEFA-Euro 2020 will be held in 12 European cities, St Petersburg included, from June 12 until July 12, 2020.

We have plenty to do when it comes to football.

Certainly, everything we mentioned today in addition to football and even what we did not mention,

representatives of various sports are here today and we will do everything together and work together.

Following today's meeting we will draft a list of relevant instructions.

I Today, I Will Make This Tripod for Musical Score

I started by cutting the wood to make the legs of the tripod

I'm going to use pine wood.

I marked the distance from the height, and cut in my cutting board

in order to cut these six pieces, I made the marking to create the sliding legs

to adjust the height of the tripod

I joined these three pieces to make a similar hole in all the pieces

and I used this stud bolt template that helps me keep the hole upright

now on my benchtop with elevation.

I'm going to make a rip in three pieces.

these holes are to carry the screws that will carry the sliding parts

now I'm going to draw the piece where I will fix the legs of the tripod

I cut this piece with my saw

here I will prepare the tripod leg socket

I aligned these pieces and made a hole

on then it will take a screw to fix the leg

I'm going to make a 20 mm hole in the center of this piece.

where you will pass an axis that will fix the system of the score

I'm going to make the support system now

it's time to put this puzzle together

the parts are all ready to mount this tripod

I'll put the springs to set the musical guidelines

I put UGU nail glue and fasten with screws

I put nail glue so the spring does not rotate

we enter the final part of the project

we come to the end of yet another project

the result is this

a fantastic project

besides giving to put the musical sheet

where is in these two springs

also serves to put an ipad or tablet

How to sew lace or trim to the hem of a dress - Duration: 1:34.

Hey everyone, here is how I attach lace or trim at the bottom of a dress – although

this would work the same for a shirt, too.

So the concept is that you want to do all your seams except for the very last one.

So in my case, this dress has two side seams.

That means that I'm sewing down one of the side seams (using a French seam – link in

the description box).

Then I'll attach my lace or trim.

I have several videos on how to attach lace that I'll link below.

In this case here, I'm attaching some dotted swiss embroidered lace, and to do this, I'm

doing one row of straight stitches, then moving my needle over about 1/16" and doing another

row of straight stitches.

Then I trim up that seam and finally go over those straight stitches with a zigzag.

Then I press that seam towards the dress, and finally, do my other French seam.

If I was attaching lace to a dress with a continuous skirt (aka it only had one seam),

then I would attach my lace first, and then close the skirt with it's one and only seam.

This means that the raw edges from the lace or trim get enclosed into the final French

seam, leaving a neat and pretty look for your finished garment.

DOLLAR TREE VS TARGET SCHOOL SUPPLIES - Duration: 8:33.

hey guys today I am taking you into Dollar Tree and Target so we are going

to see which one has the best deals first up the Dollar Tree I find that

Dollar Tree has a lot of great deals like on these back-to-school bins and

storage units and things like that you can find everything obviously for a

dollar Target they're a little bit more expensive on their bins and things so I

highly recommend Dollar Tree for these they also have cute little calendars

that I've never seen before definitely worth a dollar and then of

course we all hit some rocks they also have these cute little binders that are

new they used to have just the plain colored ones but now they have ones that

have designs on which are super cute super fun for kids and they also have

these little gadgets and gadgets for the teachers and binder clips and little

colorful things which i think are a lot of fun these little pencil holders are

so adorable too but you can definitely find these under a dollar usually at

Target and Walmart so if you don't like them I highly recommend going to Target

if you can but they also have these cute little folders and things like that but

you can get these for probably 25 cents as well they also have washi tape which

I thought was really cute so you can kind of decorate your own binders and

things like that and they also have spiral notebooks which I don't think is

a good deal at at Dollar Tree definitely Target Walmart things like that

same goes for these composition books I think you can find them at a more

reasonable price elsewhere and also Allison found a planner she wants a

planner this year so she can plan out her homework and what she you know kind

of activities and things like that she needs so I think this is a great deal

for us for that and of course they have your highlighters your pencils your pens

all of that fun stuff I say the prices are about the same the

markers and things like that you could probably get for about 75 cents at

Target which we're gonna go there next and see the prices say that way you guys

can kind of give an idea of what is better and what's not

as for the crayons it's better to go to Target or Walmart for that because they

are so much cheaper but this is super cute look at that student planner so

cute and like I said the highlighters and things like that I think are a

better deal as well

they also have everything that you could think of they have pencil sharpeners

little staplers glue I think the glue here is probably a better deal but the

rest of the stuff you can buy for 25 cents to 50 cents including the glue the

scissors I think are a good deal at Dollar Tree the calculators are a good

deal here they also have cute little trays and little compartments that you

can put pencils and pens and glue and stuff like that in I think those would

be features and they also have the little index cards with our cheaper

elsewhere but they have little Locker things desk things and all that fun

stuff for school

they also have tons and tons of lunch ideas snack ideas little foods things

like that for the lunchboxes but honestly I have to say Walmart beats all

of that because they are cheaper at Walmart yes--you they're only a dollar

at the dollar tree but you get a lot less for your money at the Dollar Tree

these little containers are super cute I don't need any more but they are super

cute for lunches and things like that

I also seen this cute little paint palette for at home if your kids want to

color and then this cute little notebook as well I thought it was adorable I love

anything small they also have cute little erasers notepads things dry

erasers teacher stuff anything and everything you can think of they of

course have at the Dollar Tree but you just have to figure out is it worth the

money or is it not worth the money because you can buy a cheaper somewhere

else but I love the Dollar Tree

okay guys now it is time for target they have this cute little skip and hop game

but we are starting with lunch stuff some of these products were okay I will

be showing you what I bought of course and then they have all these fun little

bags and mermaid stuff and they also had on the other shelf some unicorns love

unicorns are my favorite these are basically teacher school supplies I

didn't really go through any other prices for you but look at this here are

the 499 binders you can buy them at the dollar store for a dollar they also have

notepads sticky notes all of that I think these are over priced at Target

just my personal opinion here are the pens pencils some of these

pens are better quality and you get more ink out of them than you do at the

Dollar Tree here's the unicorns my favorite and here you go the markers and

the crayons are a little bit cheaper they are about 50 cents to 75 cents here

the glue sticks are more expensive but the glue is 50 cents here so you're

paying half price also the cards index cards were 49 cents so that is much

cheaper here than it would be at the dollar store

look at this big thing of glue I love how they package this it looks like a

regular glue but it's just bigger super coy like that and they also had the

Target brand glue but those were also more expensive than the Dollar Tree I

have never tried the Dollar Tree glue so don't quote me on that if it's good or

not here is the composition and notebooks

and they were actually cheaper here at Target than they were at the Dollar Tree

but the Dollar Tree bags for the pencil holders are a little bit cheaper but not

as sturdy and look at all the glitter I love the glitter this would be my

section if I were going to school I just love glitter so much now here is

the lunch boxes they have the bento boxes they also have regular lunch boxes

we ended up not getting any lunch boxes here surprisingly Sophia did not like

them we went to justice and picked up her lunch box there because she they had

a really cute one but Ali did pick hers out so we will show you all of that when

Robin Williams' Daughter Grew Up To Be Stunning - Duration: 4:28.

There was a time when Zelda Williams was known simply as the daughter of comedy legend, Robin

Williams.

But this young star has established herself apart from her father's legacy.

While she may have inherited his talent, she's definitely putting her own spin on it.

Besides being a successful actress, Williams also advocates for mental health and carries

on her dad's charity work.

She may have gotten her start as an adorable Hollywood mini-me, but Zelda Williams has

grown up to be absolutely gorgeous.

Growing up on set

Being the daughter of one of the most celebrated actors of all time, it's no surprise that

Williams would later go on to become an actress herself.

She told Smashing Interviews,

"I got to be on sets where there were no green screens.

Mermaids were actually models that were sitting in a pool with mermaid tails on.

When you're a child, that's the most amazing thing because you're literally seeing and

being able to touch these incredible, fantastical stories that otherwise you'd only get to read."

The Legend of Zelda

Williams doesn't mind that her older brother, Zach, originally suggested the name Zelda

for her, after the star of The Legend of Zelda games.

Her parents, being fans of the franchise, also liked the name.

"I became a hero, Dad.

I saved your kingdom Dad ...Are you mixing me up with the princess again?"

Williams told MCV,

"I think it is fantastic, and it makes me laugh that it was a whole family decision.

It could have ended up a lot worse."

Williams has even capitalized on her name to raise money for a good cause.

In 2017, she played in a live-stream marathon of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

for eight hours to raise money for the Brain and Behavior Institute, an organization which

focuses on mental health research.

The acting bug

Williams knew when she was 10 that she wanted to act, but her parents insisted that she

finish high school before pursuing it full time.

She told Backstage,

"I'm grateful my parents said, 'Absolutely no way,' and staved off my curiosity and interest."

But once Williams was old enough, her parents were on board with her future in the biz.

She took her dad's professional advice, telling Smashing Interviews,

"He said for me to be early to set and the last person to leave if I have to […] even

if you're having a really hard day and everything is falling apart.

[...] He said that it's an actor's place to not become part of that problem.

You have to step back and find help or offer to help and make people happy if you can."

Playing the part

One of Williams' stand-out roles is that of transgender man, Drew Reeves, in the horror

drama Dead of Summer.

But Williams almost didn't take the role.

She told Backstage,

"When I went in for my first audition [...] I said, 'You know, politically speaking, I'm

not sure you're doing the right thing by auditioning cisgender actresses.'"

But producers had good reason for their choice.

The show features flashbacks, which shows Drew presenting as both male and female.

Williams said,

"That is a difficult thing to ask of someone who is [transgender and] so proudly transitioning

[…] to put on prosthetics and go backward.

[...] I understand why they considered me."

Honoring her dad's legacy

Generations of fans felt the impact of Robin Williams' death in 2014, but that was only

a fraction of the devastating loss endured by his family.

On the second anniversary of her father's death, Williams encouraged her Twitter followers

to honor her dad by supporting his favorite charities, including The Reeve Foundation

and The Challenged Athletes Foundation.

That same year, in continued support of charities that champion her father's causes, she helped

Freedom Service Dogs an organization that rescues and trains dogs to become service

animals.

She wrote to her dad: "Thought you'd get a kick out of furry, four legged friends helping

change the world, one warrior in need at a time."

Prioritizing her mental health

Williams has struggled with depression, like her father.

But she's been open about her experiences, telling Teen Vogue,

"I think people are finally aware of [mental health] in a much more visceral way."

The actress prioritizes wellness by pouring her energy into her work, saying,

"I'm writing, and directing, and just keeping busy, which is nice.

Probably, the most important thing in terms of just trying to navigate [...] is staying

busy."

The best advice

Williams told Refinery29 that she's had many wonderful mentors who have guided her throughout

her career.

Claiming that as an actress, she's been tough to cast, she said screenwriter and Dr. Strange

director, Scott Derrickson, encouraged her to craft her own parts.

She shared,

"He said there's no reason why you have to wait for permission.

[...] You can write more complicated women.

The difference is, you're complex, and very few characters are."

That advice stuck with Williams and has inspired her writing work which she is passionate about.

She says,

"It's like meditation for me."

Cockroaches Are Indestructible, And the Secret Is in Their Genome - Duration: 3:38.

Once, when I was in college, I saw a cockroach crawl out of the sink drain in my dorm.

Like, out of the depths of the sewer, and into my dorm room.

I have never been the same.

Ever.

But it turns out, roaches could do some good in the world because their genetic code, which

was recently fully sequenced, provides surprising insight into their seemingly eternal survival.

Now we have a better idea of just why cockroaches are so freaking hard to kill: THEY'RE EVOLVING.

Not only can cockroaches multiply seemingly infinitely, regenerate from traumatizing wounds,

fit into any crevice, survive incredibly forceful physical extermination, evolve to evade chemical

apocalypse...but despite their inherent gross factor, they may also hold an important key

to help us understand how to improve our own biology.

Researchers at the Chinese Academy of Sciences have sequenced the entire genome of the American

cockroach for the first time ever, and their genome is surprisingly huge.

The research team found genes indicating that when under stress, female cockroaches can

lay unfertilized eggs that will still hatch due to parthenogenesis--which is quite literally

virgin birth.

(This gives a whole new meaning to, "Jesus, cockroaches!")

This is observed in other insects too, like certain kinds of wasps, bees and ants, as

well as some reptiles, and only requires one parent's genetic code.

No sex required.

Just crazy science coolness.

This reproductive method means that when mom detects an environment she suspects may not

allow her to live much longer, she'll just plop down some ready-made eggs to make sure

her genes survive.

You may think you've killed one cockroach, but unbeknownst to you, there are more spawning

elsewhere….

Additionally, the research team uncovered the genes and genetic regulation pathways

responsible for the cockroach's ability to regenerate limbs.

Offshoots of this research have lead to the development of a drug in China that's based

on an ethanol found in cockroaches, and is being touted as potentially useful in human

medicine for wound healing and tissue repair.

They also identified the genes responsible for in-body anti-microbial production, which

keeps cockroaches safe while they're rooting around in the sewage and trash.

This could be part of the reason that cockroaches have a tendency to become resistant to our

extermination methods.

While the genome that was recently sequenced is that of the American cockroach, other research

has indicated that its cousin the German cockroach has evolved to dislike the taste of the poison

bait we've been putting out to kill it--instead of tasting irresistibly sweet, it now tastes

bitter to them, and they avoid it, so we're having a hard time finding something that

could kill it.

Now that we have a better understand the cockroach genome, we might be able to kill them more

effectively which is something we'd like to do because they're gross and they spread

plague.

No seriously, they carry hella disease.

But, another point in the cockroach's favor,

they can help us improve our robotics.

These tiny bugs can withstand over 900 times their body weight in crushing force, and are

able to squeeze into so many places (LIKE DORM ROOMS) by compressing themselves to almost

a third of their full size.

Both of these superpowers are due to their exoskeleton, which is hard but also "jointed"

and flexible.

Experts say that if we could make bots with these features, we could revolutionize fields

like search and rescue, with the bots able to access areas of disaster zones that humans

and other traditional search animals could never penetrate.

There's still a long way to go in this area of research, but it's going to be interesting

to see what we can learn from animals like this, and what we can take from their genetic

mechanisms to use for our own benefit.

Turns out, people who seem allergic to chocolate or coffee may just be reacting to the pieces

of cockroach that find their way in there during the manufacturing process.

By then my brother had reached

So I went to him and said

"Listen so, this CD is stuck inside the computer"

And he wanted to have some fun and not actually help me

So I thought I'll try and figure it out myself

I opened up the whole computer

I told dad that the computer was broken

And I'll try and figure it out

Next day I went to school

By the time I came back

The computer wasn't there

Turns out, dad sent the computer to get it fixed

I freaked out so much

I was like "how will I show my face around here"

The guy who fixed the computer he said "Bro you've grown up"

But he didn't return the CD

It must have gotten stuck for him too

I was in the 8th grade

I had just started watching porn

There was a cyber cafe near my house

It's location was such that you go through the gate

And up the stairs

And the system I always used was right at the front because it had good speed

So I was watching porn one of the days

And the screen froze

And right at that moment the owner of the cafe Started walking towards me

And I started to freak out

Generally I shut down the computer through the CPU

But in because i was nervous I switched off the screen

And then he came and he sees me sitting in front of a black screen

And he started asking me questions

"What happened?"

I said nothing just It's not working

He said "Let me check"

And switched on the monitor

And on the screen the porn was on

the situation got a little awkward

You are young and you still watch this stuff How does this make you feel?

I said "uncle how much do I have to pay tell me I'm leaving"

Did you go that cafe again

Then we became friends so he gave me an another system

"Son why don't you sit at the one in the side"?

New details, trailer from "Star Trek: Discovery" Season 2 - Duration: 2:45.

 Executive producer and series co-creator Alex Kurtzman revealed the first look trailer at "Star Trek: Discovery" Season 2 at San Diego Comic-Con

He also confirmed that Season 2 will bring on the most famous Vulcan ever: Spock

  It's not clear when in the season Spock will appear, but the first look hints that he appears to be linked to the central mystery of the season

 Wilson Cruz, the actor who plays Dr. Hugh Culber, revealed that he will return to the show, though he was killed off last season

Back in January, showrunner Aaron Harberts said the plan to kill Hugh was always in the works, but added, cryptically, that this was meant to be the "first chapter in their story

" He told CBSN, "We though it was going to take a little while for the audience to bond with them, get to know the characters

We didn't realize how this couple was going to resonate with audience, and they bonded so so quickly

Our intention was to really start their story with what happens [on this episode]
