what is up YouTube so this week I decided to do a review of Guild Wars 2
and I played this game probably about a year total...something around there
make a character and then we'll have a little gameplay footage then we'll jump
right into what I actually think of this game
I don't like this door open so.. it is October the 23rd to be exact

so yeah I typically I like how he looks little blindfold on

battlefield because of this I am recognized and given proper respect okay

why does it change his shoulder pads it actually gets rid of them putting a
helmet on when I was still a kid I had a vision a spirit of the wild spoke to me
and offered its guardianship that spirit was Bear Snow Leopard Wolf or Raven see
now I typically would pick wolf or maybe bear or something but because of Game of
Thrones it makes me want to pick Raven all right so we're in the game now and
before I get too far into the video my last video that I did of World of
Warcraft (Live Stream) I said there'd be a little bit of a
surprise in this video and the surprise is this I have this nice little keyboard
here it is a Logitech G613 there's features on it it's listed as a Wireless Mechanical
Gaming Keyboard so yes we're doing a has Light Speed Roamer G Light Speed PLUS
Bluetooth and G1 through G6 It's got G keys alright so there's three things you need
to do to be entered into the drawing like comment and subscribe
that's it I just want to add to at the end of the video there will be more
about the drawing I don't know why this retard is jumping in front of me

I have played Guild Wars 2 before I got to max level but I don't remember a lot
of things or I just didn't know actually certain things I kind of just played it
for fun say I'm not really sure what's going on I mean I actually mean that I don't know where
I'm going okay I could have got one of these whole time I didn't know that what
is this thing I'm on it's like a bug it is a bug that thing's kind of gross
so we are back I have a kitty on my lap
do not hit that stupid pumpkin what's up buddy I got my good luck Kitty
on my lap so that is good so I can throw toilet paper haha that's
funny
Wonder if I were to total up the amount of time I spent waiting for a game to load
literally just waiting just a minute of my life just went by while I was waiting for a
game to load I did absolutely nothing during that time just so much freaking
clicking it's actually annoying me that I'm actually feeling angry wow it's kind
of amazing to me if I never have to do this quest again I'll be so happy so I'm
making a new character I could not stand that warrior I just don't like the
warrior class I don't know why I even picked it so made a new character an
Asura which is the little characters I made a hunter I do for the most part
enjoy playing hunters with pets it's not my first choice of a class my first
choice would be a healer usually you got anything interesting for sale what you
got you have anything for me incomp boots okay alright yeah I don't
know why I'm looking because I'm not planing on buying anything or me looking at
cars you know go to the car dealership just looking at a car just dreaming
about you know having a new car and this freaking salesperson is coming up Hey
how can I get into this cars like hey you can't alright so why you Here? dodge to avoid
danger by pressing the V key or double tapping the movement key while dodging
you are temporary invulnerable the yellow endurance bar above your health drains with
each dodge but will recover over time okay BAM
this person is telling me they think it's bugged because your supposed to be able to
talk to this and I'll bring up the option to fight it and it's not doing
that swim in through the treacherous lakes with barracudas around you okay
here's another hero challenge let's see if this one works yep it did okay
where's the event where's the event so talk to somebody somebody right right on
it let's go let's go I like and don't like how things are hidden I kind of
wish I knew what was there if I was interested in
even going there this is the side I'm on and you see how many points they got
1557 they are apparently getting their butts kicked so I don't even know last
time I played it was not this bad so something happened so unless you get a
squad there's really no point in doing world versus world as far as unless
you're really good which case I am not I just like running with a big ol Zerg
and it seems like I know what... these zone events are pretty cool it's
interesting and fun and it's a good way for them to take away from just the
constant questing that you're doing it adds a little
bit of excitement to the game so every time that you level you get certain
things like I just got weapon skill five unlocked which is this one here
your bar is locked until you get to the certain level to actually unlock that
skill and this is just telling me at the next level what I'll get in the top
right typically this is telling me where to go for quest but since there is a
nearby event or going to be an event that's all it's telling me I kind of
don't want to do that event I just want to continue my quest but I don't know
where my quests are I don't exactly know where my quest are and I usually use
that to figure out where my quest are but they kind of took that away from me
by this event being there so I have a bow on and you can see what my action
bars are it's basically everything about shooting a bow I mean that's this
two-handed great sword for example your skills change on your bar to now be what
this weapon is pet where you going
I'm on this thing I hit F1 and my pet should have attacked this creature but
he did not he ran off and he's attacking other things F1 it says attack my
target but yet I hit F1 he did not attack my target that is clearly my
target you can see the ring on the ground that that's what I'm on and I
just hit F1 again I'm spamming it like crazy you can actually hear it and he is
not attacking it I don't know why you're not just tied because you're a hunter
to just using a bow I mean you can use any of those other weapons like short
bow for example an ax even a dagger was in there now my quest arrow is back in
the top right telling me where I need to go so as long as I would have stayed in
this area it wouldn't have told me that where I need to go for my quest it
almost like kind of forced me to do that event and I don't like that these events
that are happening throughout the zone seem like they're actually a very good
way to level apparently there's a crafting bag and it's not what I want to
do okay you have one shared inventory slot but there's a crafting bag and if
you click this little options thing up here on your bag you can select deposit
all materials and you'll see the materials disappear so that is really
cool however why didn't they just make it automatic why not just as soon as you
get a crafting material it automatically goes into your crafting bag why make you
have to click that button and deposit it all the time
Elder Scrolls online has the same exact feature except on Elder Scrolls online
they automatically put it into your crafting bag for you so I don't
understand why they don't do the same thing here it just makes sense to me
it's just easier event nearby again so I don't know where my quest is
because of this event and the events actually in here and I don't actually
want to go and do it these are collection items throughout
the world if you could figure out how to get up to the Vista and some of them are
just pretty straightforward it just shows you a little bit of scenery here
the achievement system right here so if you go to your achievements and then you
go under collections legendary weapons so if you do this collection and
collect all these things you'll be rewarded with bolt the experimental
sword which is a very good sword I wish that I could actually show it but I
don't see it actually listed so moot collect these things you get rewarded with
moot there is here you go collect these 14 items and skins to receive the dragon
hunters bow so if you do these parts of the achievement and this one here is
relatively simple make a Guardian get to max level unlock the dragon hunter and
it gives you the dragon hunters bow I think that's something that most people
know so you collect all these items and you'll get this legendary bow longbow
and this is for bo which is a staff collect all these things and you'll get
that so doing a legendary weapons is I only have some of them actually unlocked
you get legendary backpacks legendary armor is the best armor that is in the
game that I am aware of and one of the ways that you get it there is other ways
to get legendary armor but this particular legendary
armor like bolt or moot (That's Weapons..Not Armor) you only get from the collection we're running to
go to this quest this event here popped up and it looks like it's about
collecting Raptor eggs so let's go do the quest and let's see much experience
that we get and the bottom of our screen is our experience bar we're about
one-and-a-half bars in all right so we completed that yeah for that simple task
it gave quite a bit of experience and I didn't notice that the quest was here
for it and these sparkly things actually went over and filled up your bar that
was a pretty cool effect so you can do some chopping down of trees and I could
see on my mini map of where other wood is that I can chop down but it's just
about the hero challenges again and
okay so this one is very different so they're actually making you read this
and remember this the first rule of the lab okay
I don't want to actually give it away what the answer is this isn't what
this is about you can actually watch the video to get the answer but I'm not
going to verbally say it this is a review video this isn't a spoiler video okay so
after several attempts and you actually have to read it we did it yeah
that was kind of fun you know I should say I could see how if I make multiple
characters how that would not be so much fun anymore
a portal to me or gate in the distance it just looks cool and really adds to
the whole scenery of the game the graphics on this game are actually very
well I mean and just the details that they went into as far as this floating
rock whatever is going on with this you know it was just I like it I like it a
lot
okay that hero challenge is pretty straightforward we just unlocked weapon
swapping so the weapon swap is very cool
just like Elder Scrolls online so wait you can't weapon swap in battle okay
front of us we have this green right here story journal this is where we're
at experiments gone wrong so let's go see what all this is about so another
cool feature looks like I outleveled this zone so my actual level is 10 but
they have level scaling so it says your level has been adjusted to match the
area you are in so my level has actually got lowered
three levels so I'm level six running around this zone Guild Wars 2 does have
a store they call it the black lion trading company ok that looks cool
that's cool that's interesting my skills change so when you're swimming your
skills are different is it the spear gun that it's going by I assume that it is
big portal here in front of us and that is how you change zones so we'll go in
here right away I could see on the ground they have these green arrows if
you can see it right here these green arrows they're kind of telling you of
where to go ok there's stuff you can train yes I forgot about that that's
funny so let's use this Signet of the Hunt grants 25% increased movement speed to you and
your pet that's awesome it's one thing I didn't like was being running slow so
marksmanship is locked how do we unlock it was it based on level I decided to go
into this eternal battlegrounds on my new character and just see what it is
about going on here
okay they got rams set up here they got a hole in the wall
okay I don't know what is even happening but there's a bunch of lag so I'm just
trying to get to the tag and not even know where they went but yeah there's
yeah there's a lot of enemies in there
wow it is laggy might actually have to lower the settings for this
Yeah This Lag Is Insane (Lag Got Real)
so okay so there's a blue enemy here who owns the keep and then the red I mean
the green we're red the green is now here
all right so there's rewards that you get for doing PvP you got pips that you
earned and a more participation that you have so I'm tier 5 participation so every
tick
you'll get points and the tick is here is it every three minutes is a tick so
then once you fill up these you get rewarded with this chest so
so in PvP you have this vendor here that gives you rewards I think this stuff
here is just like starting armor and then if you go down the tabs here it
starts to get to the Ascended armor and in order to get this Ascended armor you
got to have these Grandmaster leatherworking marks since I'm a leather
worker I assume if you're another profession there will be something else
but those are pretty expensive to craft to my knowledge then you have Mist-Forged
Triumphant I assume these are the basic weapons the Ascended weapons
Ascended trinkets here's your rank and abilities for world
versus world my current rank is (112)
I have (29) world versus world points and they have skills that you can improve
like just going by the first one it's arrowcart mastery so if you raise it this
one little block here it increases range on all arrowcart
skills if you raise it up again it increases damage on all arrowcart skills
and as you see it has the number 10 on there so it's going to cost 10 points to
raise it to there this one costs 3 points 10 points 20 points 35 points so
yeah they do give you rewards for doing the world versus world you have skills
that you can improve there's different ranks so the people that I run
into or even the commanders that I follow I'm pretty sure they're maxed out
world versus world rank and that's why when they run into a
group of people they're actually able to survive and I just can't just like any
game the more you play it particularly this (WvW) the more time that you spend
playing this the higher the rank you're going to be and the stronger that you're
going to be so somebody who's starting out new for that person to beat somebody
who's max rank is not going to be an easy feat probably almost impossible
capture the enemy **Hold on my Phone is Ringing** the world vs world is fun it's
particularly more fun for me in particular since I'm new when there is a
squad leader or somebody to follow if there isn't then it's not too much fun
for me and it's very interesting that our side is just doing terrible so yeah
that's what an overview of world versus world and I do actually enjoy it
like I said when there's a squad leader and when there's a group of people
basically when you have a zerg is when it's fun why didn't it do that skill I
hit five it made an effect on the bar
yeah I'm not I'm not happy with this at all this was not fun up to this point
they have been but putting you in this costume where it doesn't respond how I
wanted to yes I don't I don't like that the lag why why is it so bad so they're
just waiting for this wall to come down and once it reaches 0% it's at 17 right
now I guarantee you they're rushing in here killing all of us and that's all
she wrote because there's a lot of them
okay so here comes all the enemies alright so I'm just going to give a final
summary of what I think about this game so I do like the graphics just starting
from that I'm one of the first things you see in a game before anything else
before we experience the game is what it looks like so that is somewhat important
it's not the most important thing to me but the game does look good the actual
gameplay is pretty enjoyable it's pretty straight forward as far as doing quest I
do like the zone quest that they have that's pretty cool and then there is I
guess I'll actually show it alright so this right here this part of the game
every so often it's on a timer there's like a world boss that spawns
in different zones it's like a zone event a massive zone event that happens
and this is one of those
it's actually a lot of people here the lag is just insane so there is a lot of
people playing this game as you can see
so this was just a public group that I found in the looking for group menu just
under world boss and I was actually surprised that there were so many people
and here comes the boss coming down
if anyone is actually able to play this game on max settings with this amount of
people I would like to know what setup they have running because I just don't
see it as possible I have a Radeon Vega 64 card which is the best card that Radeon
makes so yeah
this is where we are Metrica Province and in eight seconds this fire elemental
is going to start this is the boss timers so as far as the gameplay itself
it is enjoyable I do enjoy that the story I don't really
know the story I've never really been into the story of a game besides
Asheron's Call but that was about it I don't really care about the story there
is a story behind the story quest but I don't really follow it that closely or
pay attention that much I mean the type of gamer that I am is just
hack and slash I just like killing things so as far as paying attention to the story
that doesn't really interest me I do like the world versus world I just wish
that the lower level people were able to compete a little bit better with the
veterans that have played it forever so there's quite a gap there in that you
got to invest a lot of time into it in order to be competitive
a couple things I didn't like about it were the quest just bugging out as far
as the zone quest like I have seen this particular quest here too when we had a
big old group where the NPC that starts this event would bug out outside and we
weren't able to go any further on it and I did see several times where the quest
would just bug out and the grand scheme of things I do like this game it is a
very good game if you just want to spend 50 bucks and then have a game that you
can play for free that is fun Guild Wars 2 offers that however
it doesn't seem like it's really tailored towards a casual gamer to me
more or less these days I'm just a casual gamer I'm not a hardcore gamer
like I used to be back during WoW so you've got to put a lot of time into
this game to actually get a strong character so that's like a negative to
me anybody who is working or has kids knows that they don't have a lot of time
to be investing in a game a couple of hours sometimes just a week is all they
have they do have dungeons and raids in this game however I have never actually
done a raid I think I did a dungeon but it just seems too complicated and the
people are just so picky about who does them or if you don't know the dungeon or
never have done it they are not really friendly so to me I don't even bother I
don't feel like dealing with the attitude that people have just the
community in this game doesn't seem all that friendly when it comes to a new
player and content that they've never done like if you go into a dungeon and
people see that you're new they'll leave the group I mean I've never seen a game
that was quite as bad as this doing dungeons with new people just at how
quickly they just turn off and don't want to be a part of it so that's
unfortunate
it's almost like they don't want new people I don't know I would recommend
that if you want a game where you can just buy the game outright and get to
play it for free it's definitely worth it this is the keyboard that I'm doing the
