2017 BIXPO kicks off on Wednesday in Gwangju - Duration: 2:25.Top global electric power companies are in Gwangju to attend a major internatioal expo.
The big names in the field will put their heads together to exchange ideas and discuss
the future of energy industry.
Kim Mok-yeon takes us to the city of lights for the 2017 BIXPO.
The 2017 Bitgaram International Exposition of Electric Power Technology kicked off on
Wednesday in the southwestern city of Gwangju.
Hundreds of energy experts from some 270 domestic and foreign companies are participating in
the three day expo, which is being held under the theme "Connect Ideas, Meet the 4th Revolution".
Korea Energy Power Corporation, the host of the event, says that it hopes to offer access
to the latest trends in the energy industry and also create new business and job opportunities.
(KOREAN) "We want to promote Korea's outstanding energy
industry and create a venue for global businesses to network with each other.
By doing this, we hope to pave the way for local energy companies to advance in the global
market."
This year's event, the third of its kind, seeks to meet the needs of the fast-changing
electric power industry through a range of programs such as the New Technology Exhibition,
the International Conference and the International Invention Fair.
The programs don't just look at energy alone, but also link energy to broader issues such
as sustainable development and climate change, with displays featuring solar panels and smart
city devices.
(ENGLISH) "We know that there are four different things
that need to be done to stop climate change.
One is to carbonize electricity, another is to ensure electrification of things like transport,
another is to reduce waste and the fourth one is to increase carbon sinks.
And within this expo, there are potential contributions to all four of these things."
[STAND UP] Aside from lectures and exhibitions for industry
professionals, there's plenty for normal visitors to enjoy and learn about.
Smart home devices, VR and AR experience centers, drones and even the latest robot technologies
are on display for visitors to experience.
The exposition will also hold cultural events including a performance by the New Seoul Philharmonic
orchestra, K-Pop performances and traditional music concerts throughout its three day run.

Snagit 2018: Text Capture - Duration: 1:34.Snagit is about so much more than screenshots. In this tutorial, you'll
learn how to use the Grab Text feature to capture text or extract it from
imported images. To capture text, open the capture window, select the image tab, and
set the selection to Grab Text. Or, to speed things up, open presets and select
the grab text preset. Click here to set a hotkey so that all you have to do to
grab text on-the-fly is press a key combination. Initiate a capture, then use
the crosshairs to select the region with the text that you want. Snagit analyzes
the text from your selection and displays the results, attempting to
maintain the basic formatting of the text. If the font identified is not
installed on your computer, Snagit will substitute it with a system
font of similar style. Select the text you want from the dialog and copy it or
click Copy All and paste the text into a document, presentation, or any other
destination. To capture text from an imported image or an image from your
Snagit library, you can still use Grab Text. With the image open in Snagit
Editor, go to the Edit menu and select Grab Text. Or, simply right or ctrl-click
on the image and select Grab Text. Then copy and paste it into other programs
and applications. That's it for this tutorial. Thanks for watching!

Star Wars Canon Timeline Update: October 2017 - Duration: 5:52.EPISODE – SPECIAL 024 STAR WARS CANON - CANON TIMELINE UPDATE: OCTOBER
2017 October proved to be one of the busiest months
in Star Wars canon this year, with Star Wars: Rebels, Forces of Destiny, and a very large
output from Marvel comics.
So lets dive right on in and discuss the updates to the Star Wars canon timeline, October 2017.
This month we had the release of Forces of Destiny: Daring Adventures Volume 2: Jyn,
Ahsoka, and Leia; Join the Resistance #002; Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View, the
40th Anniversary Book presenting 40 short stories retelling A New Hope from different
character perspectives, including some new canon favorites.
Captain Phasma, Issue #003; Darth Vader, Issue #006, Star Wars, Issue #037; Doctor Aphra,
Issue #013; Star Wars Adventures #3; Captain Phasma, Issue #004; Adventures in Wild Space
#5: The Cold; Jedi of the Republic: Mace Windu, Issue #003; and finally, The Legends of Luke
Skywalker, a collection of short stories filled with tails of various degrees of canon truth
about what happened to Luke Skywalker between Episodes VI and VII.
Forces of Destiny resumed with the Newest Recruit, Tracker Trouble, Teach You, I Will,
The Starfighter Stunt, Accidental Allies, An Imperial Feast, The Happabore Hazard, and
Crash Course.
Star Wars Rebels also came back on air with the two parter The Heroes Of Mandalore, where
Ezra and Kanan go assist Sabine and her Mandalorean Clan against the warring faction and the Empire;
the two parter In The Name of the Rebellion, where Ezra and Sabine are coerced by Saw Garrera
in to helping him with a mission to track down secret cargo that the Empire is transporting
across the galaxy; and The Occupation, and Flight of the Defender, where the Ghost crew
returns to Lothal to discover more about this new TIE fighter model that could prove to
be a huge challenge for the Rebellion.
Now let us take a brief look at where each of these stories fits within the Star Wars
canon timeline.
Moving into the era of the Clone Wars, Star Wars: Jedi of the Republic: Mace Windu 003,
continues the story of Mace along with fellow jedi master Kit Fisto as they come face to
face with the impact of war and the part that the Jedi might have to play in it.
This story gives us a strong look at the challenge the Jedi faced as they had to make the decision
to become generals in this war.
Forces of Destiny: Teach You, I Will, shows us Ahoska's early training with two lighstabers.
At somepoint in the animated series she went from fighting with one to fighting with two,
and this short gives us a look at that process.
Forces of Destiny: The Starfighter Stunt gives us a look at some flight training as Ahsoka
gives Padme some lessons, but a couple of enemy droid fighters have a different plan
for them.
Moving in to the vast time between Episode III and Star Wars Rebels, Star Wars: Darth
Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith 006 introduces us to the Emperor's Inquisitor program,
and Darth Vader's early encounter with them.
Adventures in Wild Space #5: The Cold continues the story of the two children seeking their
parents who were captured by the Empire.
This is the fifth book in a six part story that, although for younger readers, has plenty
to interest the canon fans.
In the era of Star Wars Rebels, Forces of Destiny: Newest Recruit tells the story of
Sabine's recruitment of Ketsu Onyo into the Rebellion, a story we saw first in the
first print book for this series.
Forces of Destiny: Accidental Allies puts Sabine and Jyn Erso in contact with each other,
although briefly, showing just how small the galaxy can be.
Star Wars Adventures, Issue #3 – "Adventures in Wookiee-Sitting" gives us an amusing
K-2S0 story about him rescuing a group of Wookiee children.
Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View contains 40 short stories retelling A New Hope from
different character perspectives.
This adds a lot of depth to many of the ancillary characters in the film, as well as other things
going on around the heroes journey.
Star Wars #037 brings the return of SCAR Squad, the group of specialized storm troopers as
they destroy a rebel outpost.
Star Wars: Doctor Aphra #013 concludes the fight between Darth Vader and Aphra's force
artifact discovery as Aphra attempts to get away undiscovered and unharmed.
Forces of Destiny: An Imperial Feast is perhaps the most significant of these shorts thus
far.
In preparing for the victory celebration, Leia asks Han to go find some food for the
Ewoks so that they don't eat the stormtroopers.
He goes to visit Hera's camp to try and get some more rations.
This shows us that Hera was a big part of the rebellion's forces throughout the original
trilogy and makes it possible to see her come up in future literature or media.
The Legends of Luke Skywalker is just that, a collection of stories about what happened
to Luke Skywalker between Episodes VI and VII.
What is truth and what is fiction will all be found out some day.
Join the Resistance #002 continues this look at young resistance recruits as they try to
prove to be heroes.
Forces of Destiny: The Happabore Hazards shows Rey take on a salvaging challenge from Unkar
Plutt and showing him exactly the kinds of skills she has.
Star Wars Adventures Issue #3 – "Pest Control" gives us a look at Finn in his
life as a stormtrooper on the sanitation team.
Forces of Destiny: Tracker Trouble is a short that tells us that there may have been one
more complication waiting for the heroes from the moment Han found the Falcon to their arrival
on Takodana.
Star Wars: Captain Phasma #003 and Star Wars: Captain Phasma #004 wrap up this story on
how Captain Phasma eliminated the only witnesses to her deactivating the Starkiller Base shields
and her return to the First Order.
Now to preview what is coming up this month!
Darth Vader #007 Star Wars #038
Star Wars Adventures #004 Darth Vader #008
Doctor Aphra #014 Star Wars #039
Jedi of the Republic: Mace Windu #004 and Poe Dameron #021
That concludes this update for October 2017.

WHY I BELIEVE A UNIVERSITY COLLEGE EDUCATION & CORPORATE MEDIA ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BRAINWASHING THE - Duration: 12:14.WHY I BELIEVE A UNIVERSITY COLLEGE EDUCATION & CORPORATE MEDIA ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BRAINWASHING
THE MASSES
BY ARJUN WALIA
A declassified document from the CIA archives in the form of a letter from a CIA task force
addressed to the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency details the close relationship that
exists between the CIA and mainstream media and academia.
The document states that the CIA task force now has relationships with reporters from
every major wire service, newspaper, news weekly, and television network in the nation,
and that this has helped us turn some intelligence failure stories into intelligence success
stories, and has contributed to the accuracy of countless others. Furthermore, it explains
how the agency has persuaded reporters to postpone, change, hold, or even scrap stories
that could have adversely affected national security interests or jeopardized sources
and methods.
Although it is a document outlining their desire to become more open and transparent,
the deception outlined by various whistleblowers (example) requires us to read between the
lines and recognize that the relationships shared between intelligence agencies and our
sources of information are not always warranted and pose inherent conflicts of interest.
Herein lies the problem: What is national security, and who determines that definition?
JFK bravely told the world that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of
pertinent facts far outweigh[] the dangers which are cited to justify it. He also
said that there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will
be seized upon by those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official
censorship and concealment.
National security is now an umbrella term used to justify concealing information,
but who makes these decisions? You can read more about our world of secrecy and the Black
Budget here.
Not only are countless documents classified every single year in North America, but false
information and fake news are routinely dispersed, mainly by mainstream media outlets
a reality that is clearly conveyed in this document and has been expressed by multiple
mainstream media journalists themselves. And as with the NSA surveillance program that
was exposed by Edward Snowden, its a global problem.
Dr. Udo Ulfkotte, a prominent German journalist and editor for more than two decades, is one
example. He blew the whistle on public television, stating that he was forced to publish the
works of intelligence agencies under his own name and that noncompliance with these orders
would result in him losing his job.
Sharyl Attkisson and Amber Lyon, both well-known mainstream media reporters and journalists,
have also exposed funded movements by political, corporate, and other special interests, and
have revealed that they are routinely paid by the U.S. government as well as foreign
governments to selectively report and distort information on certain events.
Lets not forget about Operation Mockingbird, a CIA-based initiative to control mainstream
media.
The document not only outlines the CIAs role in media, but also the entire entertainment
industry in general, lending further weight to revelations offered by celebrities like
Jim Carrey. He appeared as a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live, saying that, For years now,
talk show hosts, people on television, people in sitcoms have been, hired by the government
to throw you off the tracks, to distract you, to make you laugh and stuff like that, make
you happy and docile so you dont know whats really going on.
While some question whether he was merely joking, the facts still remain. Another celebrity,
who was clearly serious, is Roseanne Barr, who referenced the CIAs MK Ultra mind control
program a previously classified research program through the CIAs scientific intelligence
division that tested behavioural modification and perception manipulation on human beings.
What we seem to have here is an attempt to manipulate public perception of global events
through mainstream media and news publications. But whats perhaps most interesting is the
fact that a lot of people are now waking up and seeing through many of these lies and
manipulation tactics. Instead of just blindly believing what we hear on television, more
people are starting to think critically, do independent research, and examine a wide array
of sources and information.
So many opportunities have emerged within the past few years allowing others to see
this more clearly. One was the recent fake news epidemic, where evidence surfaced
exposing information that threatened the global elite. Wikileaks is perhaps one of the greatest
examples. For mainstream media to basically label everything else as fake news was
quite ironic, given that it seems the majority of people consider mainstream media themselves
to be the real fake news, and this is now even more evident given the information
presented above in this article.
The documents also touch upon the fact that they are constantly in touch with the entertainment
industry, giving advice on scenes and direction, as well as how things happened in certain
situations. Personally, I feel the industry is largely used to push propaganda, like patriotism.
Patriotism is pumped into the population to support a large military in the name of national
security. We are being fooled, wars are not waged for defence, but for offence and
to push forth political agendas.
So you see, there are multiple reasons for these CIA connections to various industries.
Academia
From a young age were taught that getting an education is the key to living a good life.
Getting a decent job, making good money, even finding the right partner all depend on
following a certain path. Yet many concepts and topics are, as previously illustrated,
kept from public viewing, and this includes plenty of important science.
The U.S. intelligence community investigated parapsychology (ESP, remote viewing, telepathy,
etc.) for more than two decades, for instance. Russell Targ, a physicist who has spent several
decades working in a U.S. government program exploring these concepts, recently shared
his experience doing so in a TED talk that is now approaching 1 million views.
Another great example of Black Budget science comes from Ben Rich, the second director of
Lockheed Skunkworks, who worked there from 1975-1991. Hes been called the Father of
Stealth, having overseen the development of the first stealth fighter, the F-117 Nighthawk.
Before his death, Rich made several shocking open statements about the reality of UFOs
and extraterrestrials.
We already have the means to travel among the stars, but these technologies are locked
up in black projects, and it would take an act of God to ever get them out to benefit
humanity. Anything you can imagine, we already know how to do it.
We now have technology to take ET home. No it wont take someones lifetime to
do it. There is an error in the equations. We know what it is. We now have the capability
to travel to the stars.
There are two types of UFOs the ones we build and the ones they build.
To read more about those comments and examine the sources, you can refer to this article
that goes into more detail about it.
Information like this, including testimony from hundreds of others, suggests that the
classified world is much more advanced than our mainstream one.
This particular document states that the agency exposes administrators of academic institutions
to the agency on a regular basis.
Obviously, as with any other job, the CIA would be looking for what they consider to
be qualified individuals. But the document does outline its close relationship with academia
in general.
This is because certain developments and information that stem from academia could threaten national
security and therefore must be kept out of the curriculum, and the public domain.
Take, for example, documents obtained via the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) that
reveal how the U.S. government has been using a secret system to withhold the approval of
some applications.
This 50-page document was obtained by Kilpatrick Towsend & Stockton, LLP, who commonly represent
major tech companies that include Apple, Google, and Twitter (to name a few). You can view
that entire document here. (source)
The program delaying patent applications is called the Sensitive Application Warning System
(SWAS). Usually when an application is submitted for a patent approval, it requires a couple
of examiners who work with the Patent Office to go through their process of approval. This
process usually takes one to two years, but applications that are filed in SAWS must be
approved from several people, and can be delayed for a number of years.
One great example (out of many) of delayed patent applications comes from Dr. Gerald
F. Ross, who filed a patent application for a new invention he had devised to defeat the
jamming of electromagnetic transmissions at specified frequencies. It was not until June
17, 2014 (almost 37 years later) that this patent was granted.
Its important to note (as reported by the Federation of American Scientists see
annotated bibliography) that there were over 5,000 inventions that were under secrecy orders
at the end of fiscal year 2014, which marked the highest number of secrecy orders in effect
since 1994.
Steven Aftergood from the Federation of American Scientists reports:
The 1971 list indicates that patents for solar photovoltaic generators were subject to review
and possible restriction if the photovoltaics were more than 20% efficient. Energy conversion
systems were likewise subject to review and possible restriction if they offered conversion
efficiencies in excess of 70-80%.
This is all thanks to an act many people are unaware of. Its called the Invention
Secrecy Act, and it was written in 1951. Under this act, patent applications on new
inventions can be subject to secrecy orders, which can restrict their publication if government
agencies believe that their disclosure would be harmful to national security.
Final Thoughts
So, as you see, science and academia in the mainstream world can only go so far. We continue
to rely on government institutions to define truth and reality for us, to outline the limits
of what is possible. In many instances, these places to which we go to learn are actually
diminishing, not supporting, our creativity and critical thinking skills. Thats not
to say that there arent good aspects of the experience, but overall, we are not accessing
our full potential.
When information is hidden from us as well as manipulated at the same time, its only
going to spark more curiosity among the people. And thats one aspect of the current shift
in consciousness thats happening on our planet. Were beginning to see the human
experience in a different light, and starting to recognize that the time for change
is really here. What are we going to do about it?

Snagit 2018: Share Your Media - Duration: 2:59.When you finish working on an image or video, it's critical that you are able to quickly send it where you need it.
Snagit's share menu makes it easy to send media to almost any destination.
Depending on your work that could mean saving it directly to your computer or a network drive,
quickly getting a link to send to a colleague,
or uploading it to a shared space like Google Drive or Dropbox.
If you don't see the destination you need in the default list,
click here to download and install more.
For this example, I'm going to share to Google Drive,
which is one of our defaults.
I've just completed working on a couple of graphics
for a presentation that my team will soon deliver to a potential client.
Before adding the images to our slide deck,
we agreed to save them to a common location for a final review.
As you can see, we created a folder on Google Drive and shared it with the team.
Since I'm ready to send my graphics to the shared folder for review,
I'll select Google Drive from the Share menu.
This is the first time I am sharing media to Google Drive,
so I need to log in and give Snagit permission to access my Google Drive.
Now I can click "Select Folder" and choose the destination folder for my graphic.
Here is the "Images" folder for our client presentation.
I'll click Select to confirm my choice.
This dialog now confirms that Snagit will send captures to the folder named "Images."
Before completing the process, I'm going to give my image a recognizable name
so that my colleagues and I know what it is.
Now that everything is set, I'll click Upload.
The Share button changes to a temporary progress bar to show that my media is uploading,
and when it's finished, I see this notification.
Because Snagit remembers the last folder it sent a capture to
I can quickly send another image to the shared folder.
And if I need that shareable link to my image again, I can get it from my Share History.
Here I can see all of the captures I sent to different online destinations...
and use the buttons to open an image in a browser or copy the link to my clipboard.
Those are just a few of the many ways you can use Snagit to get your media where you need it,
and share it when you need to. Thanks for watching!

Red Flags that Selfishness is Corrupting Your Marriage: Clip from Podcast 196 - Duration: 3:08.So what are some red flags that we might be letting selfishness kind of corrupt our marriage?
Do you see any red flags with couples?
You know I think if you're trying to manipulate your spouse in any way whether it's on a small level or a big level,
that's probably gonna be backed by selfishness. You wanted to get your way.
It may just be what you want for dinner and, you know, maybe that's okay everyone's fault,
but don't let it spread out where that becomes a pattern or what are you doing that all the time.
If I'm consistently trying to get Nancy to do what I want or buy what I want or go where I want above her wishes and I don't include her wishes,
then that's gonna be selfishness
and it's gonna erode.
So, those are some things I think that come to my mind. Other ideas?
Yeah, I think that makes a lot of sense I think selfishness is so tricky,
because I think the more selfish you are the harder it is for you to see it.
I think it's hard when it comes to the red flags with this,
cause I think it's gonna be hard for you to see those red flags in yourself, unfortunately.
And so I think praying and asking God,
"Lord reveal the selfishness in me. Help me to see where I'm being selfish in my marriage, so that I can improve and help me to be selfless."
Because I do I think that's really hard for us to see it,
but I agree on that on the manipulation part.
I think a lot of people ask questions in a way that they are trying to get the answer they want
or just playing games.
I talk to people at times. It's like "Oh man, the games that they play with their spouse."
I'm like let's just be honest and have clarity and truth and trust and marriage like no games for me,
like unless it's a board game, not manipulation games.
Yes, seriously.
If you find yourself saying don't you agree with this or don't you think this,
I mean you're already setting your spouse up to you're just paving the way and you want to respond a certain way.
If your spouse is saying to you a lot. Well you really seem selfish or you're so selfish or something.
Take a look at yourself. Just take time to do it, don't discount that.
Then if if your spouse is selfish, it's okay to let them know. I mean try to do it in a way where they'll hear it.
Maybe, you know, I've really felt you were selfish and this is how it affected me,
as opposed to just blasting them, which they're not gonna hear what you're saying anyway.
But it's okay to call your spouse out on that I think, just the way God would want you to do it.
Nancy, her Type-A, has helped me a lot because she did call me out and say you know that's not fair,
I think you've being selfish here and so it made me look at it in a different way.
So she certainly was a big help in me overcoming a lot of selfishness.
Yes! That's awesome. I love that.

The death of a woman from Belgium was confirmed by the Belgian foreign minister Didier Reynders,
who said she was on a trip with her mother and sister.
The suspect in the attack, 29-year old Uzbek national Sayfullo Saipov, is in custody.
Saipov drove a truck down to a bicycle path in New York, mowing down pedestrians, and
crashing into a school bus.
He jumped out of the truck he had rented and as he brandished two guns, police shot him
in the abdomen.
The guns turned out to be a pellet gun and a paintball gun.
The government of Uzbekistan told U.S. authorities on Wednesday that it is ready to provide resources

Scotch Yoke Castings and Machining for Gingery Metal Shaper - Duration: 22:03.hi I'm Cressel Anderson this is Makercise. in this episode I'll be casting
aluminum and bronze parts for the shaper yoke
one of the things I'm trying is--for the sprue and feeder sections--I've
hot-wired out little grooves or little channels in them so that way when I cap
them off glue them together the metal kind of has a place to go as well as a
more clear vent out I'm going to try to put a vent on the other side and arrange
these things so that the byproducts from vaporizing this polystyrene hopefully
make it up and out and make a little better casting to machine I'm going to
put a cup kind of angled this way I've got a vent going this way and should
have a little spot for a poor cup
in preparation to move I packed my tire that I was using for the vibration table
in the storage and so I kind of had to improvise with a spare wheel and my hand
truck it worked okay
this is how the casting turned out I love lost foam! it's great. I mean
look at the dimensional tolerances on these parts they seem very faithful to
what I originally assembled here prior to applying the plaster of Paris it does
a great job keeping sand inclusions the top runner I think was sized about
appropriately as well as the vent being placed well I don't see any kind of gas
inclusions or other debris in the actual parts that looks real good I also like
using the wax as a coating take a look at this picture this is from the engine
of my car I replace this water pump just before I went on my road trip to
Oklahoma and you can see the same kind of details in the engine block casting
as you can in this lost foam that I'm doing so I think it's ok to have that
texture but it is cool to know that the wax application over the top is a really
good way to kind of modify that surface finish you probably even sand it down
the only drawback is the plaster doesn't seem to adhere particularly well
initially over the wax you can tell this one was done without the wax coating and
this one had the wax coating so you've not got any of this expanded polystyrene
texture on the one that I coated with wax anyway let's get these cut up and
start making some shaper parts
it's fortunate that I have two holes here it's hitting on the back on the hub
portion of the faceplate so I need to move the screws a little bit to the
outside hole here so that I can get the faceplate clamps close enough together I
flip the part end for end and then I used these two squares I pretty much
stuck them back up in there on the faceplate so that way I could get the
machined flat side on the other end of this block parallel to the faceplate so
that should make these two ends parallel I'm facing off all the sides of these
blocks that I cast for use in the yoke of the shaper crank mechanism this will
be the part that goes in the center of the column and oscillates back and
forward based on the rotation of the bull wheel what's this part around this
will be the first one that I have completed all four phases are all six
phases this is my last one
a little carried away on the one dimension there so it's about 15 thou over
that direction and about 20 under in that direction I really need a graduated
disc for the lead screw I'm gonna get that a little closer ah there we go it's
only about 10 thou off from square on this end. 1" diameter so I need a
3.14" dial. I think this is a 3/8 16 rod.
I already faced off this end and now I'm gonna face off this in to make the
overall length as called for in the plan so this is the last one that I have to
machine and then I'm gonna start boring holes I think I'll do them all on the
lathe because it's what the book suggests
I'm advancing the lead screw 10 thousandths between each of these cuts this is about
six inches of stick out from kind of where the setscrew is on the face plate
so no I'm I'm happy that it's not giving me more problems than that these are the
support bosses for the little hinge rod that goes across at the bottom of the
column this will be the slide block that goes up and down and causes the the yoke
to oscillate back and forward driving the ram this will be the block up at the
top I've machined these two to the dimensions they need to be prior to
boring them both these will have holes with bearings installed in them as well
as the top the top I still have to thin up just a little bit once that's done
I'll mount these parts in the faceplate clamp and I will bore them using the
lathe and probably probably have to bore them out so that they'll accept these
bushings I don't currently have a bushing that is wide enough for this
part so I think I'm probably going to have to turn that I do have some raw
bronze stock so I'll probably use that I might end up having to take a little bit
off of my clamps it's a little too far down in there I could make taller
parallels but I think it will probably be faster and it'll give me you know to
kind of clean up the tops of these clamps a little bit so I'll probably
just go all the way down to the line even if I get into the angle iron clamps
there
you definitely tell that I'm getting into these clamps now you can even kind
of hear the difference in the sound that it makes so that's the clamp second
clamp
and call this good enough I mean this this works this holds parts but when you
clamp stuff at the end these bolts tend to kind of squeeze the base together and
lift it off and then it's not completely parallel and coupled with the fact that
these screws are so far out on the face plate the inside corners of these angle
iron clamps comes out just a little bit and and I'm not so sure about my
parallels there they may be off too so anyway this is this is a nice square
piece of stock that's pretty much the dimensions called for in the book so I'm
gonna proceed with it even though it's not it doesn't have exactly parallel
sides the yoke will pivot around this 12 millimeter rod held between the two
bosses very well aligned does it
well that is apparently not a very good way to get those holes centered up in a
previous video you saw me alloy up the C932 bronze. Today I am going to be
melting that down and pouring a cylinder that I can then machine a little bit
more readily than this ingot and I will be making bearings for the shaper yoke
I think this is what happens when you leave your foundry out and they get to
rained on probably all that ceramic fiber has some moisture in it I've tried
to let it dry out but I guess it's gonna dry out pretty quick at this point
that's what we ended up with this will become the bearing for the lower caste
Singh this will become the bearing for the upper casting and this will become
the bearing for the slide bloc and then I have a nice one-inch diameter piece of
bronze that I might end up machining as a lathe bearing I try to keep the
turnings from the bronze so that way I can remelt them and have more bronze for
bearings in the future I don't really have a tool that seems to be
particularly well-suited towards getting up in here I've not got much of a part
sticking out from this set of clamps on the faceplate but I used a that parting
tool that I ground a while back and just kind of using that side corner of it to
try to clean up this bearing that's not any good
I broke off my cutoff tool so I switched over I do have a left-hand turning tool
but I don't know it's it's really not set up for this kind of a cut but seems
to be doing okay so that's what I'm running with
it's gonna be the slide block bearing so I think this bit is pretty big I'm not
exactly sure what I think will happen I think it may spin in the Morse taper
socket bingo that's exactly what happened I was able to drill up to 12
millimeters. I just had to go in smaller increments. I went 6mm, 8, 10, 11,
12 and so this shoulder bolt is a number 12. this is for the crank pin it's
just a little tight so I think I'll have to get out the boring bar and open up
this just a hair I think the old boring bar did the trick
that's a pretty good fit I'll make a mandrel and then turn down the outside
of this face off the other end I've turned down this shaft to where it's
pretty well about a thousandth under 12 millimeters these bushings as well as
the ones that I cast are 12 millimeters so we'll see how well
pretty good fit now I can superglue these bushings on to this Arbor and turn
them down leave a little bit sticking over at the end so that way I can face
it off
I took the shims out from under the front of the tool and it makes the rake
angle a little more shallow and it seems to cut much better you can still really
tell the flex in the carriage I think the majority of it is coming from the
interface between the cross slide and the compound base this is really putting
art and on this lay thing it's hot to let it cool down
not to mention the fact that the heat has caused the superglue to let loose
and this bearing as written back down the harbor oh that's hot I faced off the
end and now I'm going to give it a little chamfer there was some pitting in
my castings but I think he'll do all right this is the bearing that will go
in the slide block and for turning that bearing I just used an aluminum Arbor to
turn it however for the case of the upper end casting bearing which is I
think the book calls for a quarter inch by like three eighths inch bearing I
couldn't even find one of those in stock for such a small diameter Arbor I went
ahead and made it out of steel so I've gotten a little braver on how much to
take off I do a full 25 thou cut on this trying to trying to reduce the diameter
of this rough casting down to what I need
and that gets pretty hot
I got that whole little bit bigger than I wanted but this I can tell pretty
close
I used my calipers to mark a centerline along this top casting and then I marked
up the required distance along the side and then I used just a small hammer to
kind of tap this thing around while the bolts were a little bit tight until I
got the center of those two marks pretty well aligned with this center drill held
in the tailstock Chuck this is the way that the book
recommends it because the book was written under the presumption that the
reader doesn't already have a drill press drill presses are so cheap
nowadays that you know a little drill press like the one I use all the time
just doesn't make sense not to have one I'm just showing this technique to give
you an idea of how it would be done based on the books recommendations
this bushing had a little bit of untied enos around the inside of it and when I
pressed it in with the vise buggered up this in so I'm going to get rid of that
using a countersink bit held in the brace
if you enjoyed this project give me a big favor and go ahead and click that
like button in the next project video I'll be assembling the yoke and
connecting it to the ram I hope this project builds your confidence
to exercise your inner maker thanks for watching
