Hey guys and girls it's me JoshyTek,
I'm a type of person who listens to music a lot and you can kind of call me an audio
freak,
I previously used my Sony's which have great sound quality however they are Auxilly which
isn't great for me as I do move around a lot especially in college,
I did bought the Goji Bluetooth headphones way in the past however they did not cut the
cake for me in terms of sound quality,
however a small company called Acorce has kindly sent me their new 705c Wireless Bluetooth
headphones for me to try.
So are these headphones worth it at £25, let's find out!
The product comes in a small cardboard box which clearly shows the product to the user,
I do like how most companies use cardboard packaging as you do get a sense that most
of the money is spent on the product itself.
Opening up the box, you will see a white material packaging, in there will be the Bluetooth
headphones, there will also be a separate compartment which will have the extra ear
tips if the ones you get are not right for you.
On the top, you will be able to see what this headset brings in terms of extra features,
you can pause the video to have a quick look at that.
You also get a charger cable included if you don't happen to have a micro USB cable with
you.
What I do like is that there is an included flat wire buckle which allows you to adjust
the length of how long you want the wire to be.
This can be great if you don't want the headsets wires to portray out a lot for example
if you're listening to your music in a public place.
As you can see, here's me wearing the headphones without the flat wire buckle,
And here's me wearing them with the buckle on, you can see that they don't portray much
and I do think that's a neat feature which most Bluetooth Headphones that I've seen
don't have.
These headphones come with a cloth carry case which you don't normally get at this price
point, normally high end earphones offer carry cases so I'm quite impressed Acorce did include
one here.
You also get a Quick Start Guide which shows clear instructions on how to set these bad
boys up.
When powering these headphones up, you will be greeted by a Female American voice which
will say "power on" these are exactly the same as my previous Goji's I owned in
the past except it only says Power On in a British Accent.
Pairing is quite easy, you just need to hold down the power button for about 8 seconds
and these headphones quickly showed up in my Bluetooth Devices list.
After pairing, you will get a voice that will play to tell you that they're connected,
These headphones are also very quick to connect to your phone too.
In terms of the design of these headphones, they look very plasticy which in my opinion
does put me off as these originally cost £50 pounds, so I was expecting some or at least
higher end materials used like a glossy finish to round the design off.
One thing I don't like is the button placement, all of the buttons are placed on the right
side of the headset very close to each other which makes it hard for me to stop my music
or turn to up or down the volume as i have to constantly search for the right button.
I would expect the buttons to either be textured or have the volume buttons placed on the left
headset and the power button placed on the right headset so you can easily distinguish
the volume control buttons and the power button.
After wearing these headphones for a while, I do indeed feel that these headphones fit
like glue in my ears and no matter how hard I shake to get them off, they just won't
come off my ears, I was even playing my music with these headphones for a good hour while
I was getting some work done at college and I can definitely say that these were really
comfortable in my ears for long periods, so props to the ergonomics.
These headphones offer APTX Enhanced High Definition Sound Quality however,
If you are a sound freak like me and you want deep rich bass and marvelous high ends, I'm
sorry but you are not going to get it here with these headphones, from someone who has
been using Auxilly in the past,
the first time listening to these headphones, they did not live up to my expectations, I
did straight away notice a drop in audio quality which is expected as they are bluetooth headphones,
but once I turned up the volume, the music I was listening to, it became distorted and
it wasn't an enjoyable experience to me.
I would've expected more bass and more clarity out of these headphones as the high ends on
these headphones are just distorted and not evened out in my opinion, however if you play
your music at lower volumes they tend to be a alright to listen to.
if you watch a movie or YouTube Video with these headphones, they do a brilliant job
with lip syncing and they are definitely on point in that department.
If you listen to music in a quiet a room at half volume, you will get people asking you
to turn down the volume of these headphones just because they haven't got any soundproofing.
On my Sony's I can turn the sound all the way up and they are so quiet but loud in my
eardrums, so in terms of sound proofing, these bluetooth headphones are not great for that.
The headphones do have an IPX5 Rating, which will allow you to use these headphones outside
while it's raining, so I decided to wet these headphones with water to see if they
survived and they did,
I then took it an extra step by fully submerging these underwater and they passed that test
too.
So I can say that these headphones are waterproof.
The headphones do include a microphone which can be used if you wanted to activate Siri
or the Google Assistant, so I decided to see if these headphones can make calls as they
do have a built in microphone, when a call comes in, the headphones play a really loud
and annoying incoming call sound, you can pick up the call by tapping on the middle
button once, you can also decline a call by tapping on the button twice.
After accepting the call, the recipient on the other end of the line couldn't even
hardly hear me which made me pickup my phone and talk to the recipient using my phone's
microphone, so I was quite disappointed by that, what's funny is that my Goji's I
owned in the past actually do the same thing, so I'm guessing that both of these headphones
might have the same exact chip inside of them.
The battery life on these headphones is outstanding,
I could easily get a whole week out of them so their is no problem in that department,
this is probably because there is compression involved when listening to music which makes
them battery efficient.
Charging is also quite easy as you just have to open the dedicated flap on the right earphone
and charge them using a phone charger or any USB Power Source.
When charging the headphones the LED will light up red and when charged, the LED will
light up blue.
One thing that is annoying with these headphones is when the battery gets low, every 1 minute
all you hear is a voice that says "Battery Low" which completely drives me insane and
ruins my music especially if you're at college and don't have anywhere to charge them, hearing
this every 1 minute just makes me want to go back to my Sony's, funny thing is that
my Goji's do exactly the same thing.
I would've prefered if these headphones made a low beep tone when powering on, connecting
or when the battery's low and just notifies every 5 minutes with a low beep tone as that
wouldn't be really be disturbing instead of a human voice.
You could adleast show a notification on your phone to tell you that the battery's low
instead of a human voice.
So therefore I'm giving these headphones a rating of 3 out of 5 stars, this is because
the build quality is plastic, the button placement is not great even when accepting a call, the
music gets distorted at high volumes, the really annoying human voice that says "Low
Battery" every 2 minutes.
However, if you are a sports enthusiast, these headphones will fit like glue in your ears,
the lip syncing is spot on if you watch a lot of movies or YouTube Videos and what you
get included in the packaging like a carry case and a clamp for the wires, I do indeed
feel that this is a good buy for that at £25 Pounds, but however, since the battery isn't
removable, for the long term, these headphones will eventually loose it's battery life
from charging and using them all of the time.
On the other hand if you like me being an audio freak, I'm going to be sticking with
old school Auxiliary as the sound quality is in no match when comparing to Bluetooth
Headphones, I feel that it's best to either stick with Auxilly or just invest more money
on a big Bluetooth Headset not small earphones.
So I hope this video helped you on deciding if these headphones are worth the purchase,
I will leave the link to purchase these Bluetooth Headphones on Amazon, at this present time,
they currently retail at £25 pounds, if you found this video to be helpful, checkout my
