Waching daily Nov 17 2017

No two storms are alike, so when we first go into a storm,

we don't even know what we're going to expect.

We're out there 8-10 hours.

My stress level in a flight is typically high, and I can say that's probably a good thing,

'cause it keeps me sharp and on my toes.

But you pretty much hang on and trust your judgment and trust the judgment of the pilots,

and hope for the best.

This work is important for me because I believe it's a crucial help to the American people

in warning them on whether the storm is going to impact their lives and property.

I started working for NOAA in 2007, and two years later, in 2009, I started flying into hurricanes.

Hurricane hunters fly in and around the hurricane or tropical storm environment

to gather critical information that helps predict where the storm is going,

and what the intensity is going to be.

The first storm I flew into was just east of the East Coast of the U.S.

Seeing the actual eyewall on the radar and knowing that we were going to go inside the center was…

it was awesome.

You get to look out the window and see these thunderstorms right outside your window as

you're flying close to them and through them.

So this is where I sit as a Flight Director.

We have several monitors that we keep an eye on.

Up front, we have the pilots that sit in the left seat and the right seat,

and we have a flight engineer here that sits in the middle.

We have our lead scientist typically sit in this seat, where they have a good view

out the window, and they have some monitors to look at the data.

And if we go a little further back, we have here to the left is where the navigator sits.

They make the radio calls, they determine our flight path and call in for our locations.

Back here is the galley.

We have the restroom, the food, the kitchen - most important part.

We have a cooler back here to put our food, and a microwave, and coffee,

and that's about it.

We're notified when to fly by the National Hurricane Center, or by the Hurricane Research Division,

typically 24 hours in advance.

I need to look at several things to do a briefing for the entire crew to keep the airplane safe.

We need to find out whether the storm is predicted to be a rapid intensifier.

We're looking for any tornadoes, and other critical items

about the structure of the storm that could pose a threat.

If there's any concerns about our mission, we may choose another plan.

As a flight director we are in charge of the mission, and we direct the plane

in and around the storm to get to the locations where we need to gather that critical data.

One of the biggest challenges, but also most fun for me, is hunting for the center of the storm,

and that's where the wind speed is zero.

It's actually kind of more like an art, to not make too many turns

but fly over that exact center spot.

Once I find the center of the storm, we mark it.

The navigator marks the latitude and longitude;

we also collect the highest wind speeds of the storm, which is typically in the eyewall,

on our way in or out of the center.

This station to the left is our dropsonde operator.

They're listening for me to call when to release a dropsonde or a buoy, and they use these

two tubes right here, and they flip this switch right here,

and the bottom lever opens up, and the pressure differential

between the outside air and the inside of the airplane pretty much sucks the dropsonde

out of the tube and out into the atmosphere.

Once they're released, a little parachute is connected to it.

It goes up, out into the air to keep the dropsonde stable as it falls through the atmosphere,

collecting wind speed and wind direction and fall rate all the way down, until it hits

the ocean's surface.

We have a person from the Hurricane Research Division sitting here and processing those

dropsondes that fall into the water.

They gather the data, process it, package it up, and send it off the airplane.

They use that information to make their official Hurricane Center forecast, which is what all

the news stations and everyone grabs to find out what's going on with the storm.

Growing up, I used to always ask the question, "why?" about everything.

And there's always more questions.

We'll never understand fully how these things develop.

The lure of studying hurricanes for me is just being completely fascinated with how these storms develop,

and I wanted to actually take a firsthand look and see for myself.

In this next episode, a wildlife biologist has the tense job of tracking grizzly bears.

Connecting with God - Duration: 4:41.

Oh hi there you might be wondering who is Jesus Christ?

Well Jesus Christ is a historical figure we believe is the Son of God and is God himself.

Anyways, because of our sin and rebellion against God we were eternally separated from Him but

However, it says in John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He sent His one and only

Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Now how do you know this is true? We know this is true because it tells us in the Bible, which is God's Word to us.

It was written over a period 1,500 years by 40 different authors.

Now these authors didn't simply just record what God sent to them rather

God used them in their personal circumstances and day and age in order

to really have this read effect.

So random question Hilary, do you know what devotions are?

Aren't devotions spending time at God, reading the Bible and praying?

Actually that's a pretty good answer!

Oh, it's getting kind of chilly in here. A sweater something would be nice. Oh thanks!

All right, much better! So what are devotions and how do we do them?

Well, devotions are super simple it's basically time set aside for God and

through devotions we can pray to Him, we can simply have a time of silence and

solitude or we can even read God's Word and devotions are very important because

through devotions we can listen to God and hear what He has to say to us and

while we're reading God's Word through the Bible He can speak to us

through the stories that are told. And devotions

are important because it also helps to go closer with God. So how do we do them

basically in devotions it can just be a verse or two in the Bible or it can be

some online devotional resources or just even from like books or something.

All right so while we're talking about disciplines let's talk about prayer as

well so what is prayer? Do we sit down for prayer or do we close your eyes open

our eyes? Do our hands to like this this this where do we stand up? Well that

doesn't matter because prayer is just simply talking directly to God and just

being open about it. Through prayer we can thank Him, we can praise Him and it can

even be a cry for help! But hold your horses, because prayer isn't just a magic

string of words you don't say abracadabra God give me a teddy bear

abracadabra God give me some tickets to Ariana Grande concert.

No prayer is being open and being receptive to God's answer whether we like it or not.

So we've got 99 problems but prayer ain't one.

Hi welcome to our church, but what exactly is a church?

You may think it's the physical building itself, it can be after all this place

where Christians come together for a time of God centred fellowship but most

importantly it's an assembly of Christians that have gathered for the sole

purpose of knowing, growing and glorifying God. So how do we glorify God

through worshiping him but it's not just about the music it's a lifestyle.

So it's not about how much you put in the offering box nor is it volunteering

in the children's ministry or even how well you sing the songs. True these may

be acts of worship but that doesn't find true worship itself but rather true

worship is a matter of the heart expressed through a lifestyle of

devotion that places God first on our list of priorities. So all our actions

and thoughts and motives should be praising and glorifying to Him.

So when you sing, sing with all your heart because it's not just the action of

opening your mouth and letting your vocal cords vibrate to release notes but

rather it's the intent in your heart behind the words you sing. So whatever

you do, do for the glory of God.

Sick Vlog - UPDATED Makeup Storage Tour | Bec's Vlogs - Duration: 4:10.

I don't want to wear mascara every single day firstly

I don't want to ruin my lashes when I'm removing my makeup because when I'm removing makeup

I lose like six eyelashes off each eye, and you only have, like, a billion eyelashes

What's up my friends welcome to a brand new video

My name is Bec, and I'll be your YouTuber for the next handful of minutes

If you wouldn't mind checking us a like and offering us a subscribe, that would be duly appreciated. So today

I am going to be doing a

updated makeup storage tour

Excuse my voice I am

Currently sick I'm trying very hard to sound normal at the moment so

Here's to working hard

The only thing in life that I work hard on. So the last time I did a storage tour video

Was actually two years ago, so that would have been

2015 which was probably my second year of youtube it's actually kind of sad at how much my makeup storage hasn't changed

It's actually

Quite similar to what I have now except now, I've got maybe double the makeup

Or at least I've bought double the makeup and half of its in the bin, so yeah

I'm just going to do a real quick run-through of what my

This could even be classified as my YouTube set up tour, because I literally record at my makeup table excuse all the powder stains

Make up, believe it or not, is very messy

Basically the tray that's closest to me is the makeup that I use the most often

besides the foundation and the mascaras, they're in the other tray thing. So the tray that's the one over that's got all my

Not as important brushes

It's got my nail polishes that I never use, I just have nowhere else to put them. Quick fYI about the Vaseline

I use Vaseline on my eyelashes everyday for school because you know I don't actually know if it works

But you need those strong eyelashes man, and also because

I don't want to wear mascara every single day, and then the eyeshadows that are outside. I just have nowhere for eyeshadows

I just got too much crap. You know I need to get like a different spot to put them

But they're there and then I've got a blush which I never use, got my Beauty Blender

Looking very big and thick and voluptuous

Because it's filled with water currently and my eyelash curler because where the hell do people even put those and then

Because I've got like weird palettes. I don't know how they would fit anywhere else

I just plop them underneath my recording light. I've got my q-tips and then in the bedside table

Which is no longer a bedside table, but a makeup side table, a makeup table side table, whatever

In that I have all my crappy makeup that I never use. It's filled with crappy makeup

Makeup that's pretty much run out and I can't be bothered to fish the rest of the product out

Yeah, I'm looking at you, Maybelline. I'm looking at you

Um and I got all of my weird tester products, so yeah

I've got two boxes full of that sort of stuff especially nail polish

I do not wear nail polish, and then I got my little experiment. I'm occasionally a scientist at heart. I mean I do

Three Sciences at school. I can't remember what eyeshadows I mixed together, but by the looks of things

It's a cream eyeshadow and a blue eyeshadow. Yeah, that's my that's my makeup storage. It's pretty sad

I don't even know what I'm doing. I think I'm like high on the drugs

I'm not taking... The medicinal drugs for colds of course. Thank you all so much for watching

I love you guys, and I'll see you in one of the previous videos or one of the next ones, it depends

don't forget to check out the cards to see how I did my makeup and

Yeah, bye

What if Jurassic Park Was Real? - Duration: 3:36.

Jurassic Park, originally a book by Michael Crichton, tells the tale of a billionaire

philanthropist and a small team of genetic scientists who have created a wildlife park

of cloned dinosaurs.

The dinosaurs find a way to escape their enclosures, and proceed to terrorize park-goers.

But what if Jurassic park wasn't just a story?

What if Jurassic park was real?

Hello and welcome back to Lifes biggest questions.

I'm charlotte dobre.

If this is your first time here, don't forget to hit that thumbs up and let us know in the

comments below what topics you would like to see next

We've all wondered if there would ever be a way to use modern science to clone dinosaurs.

But creating a real life Jurassic park definitely wouldn't be achieved in the same way that

it was in the film, by using dinosaur DNA from a fossilized mosquito preserved in amber.

It's impossible to use million year old dinosaur DNA because it simply doesn't exist.

Hybrid Dinosaurs might be a possibility though, as in a cross between a dinosaur and something

else.

Chickens and other birds carry dinosaur DNA, and it can theoretically be altered to create

a dinosaur.

Scientists have already created dinosaur legs, dinosaur feet, and a dinosaur beak with teeth.

None of these creatures hatched, but with a little more tweaking, they could.

According to renowned palaeontologist Jack Horner, at the very least, the creation of

a miniature dinosaur might be a reality in around 10 years.

Jack horner was a technical adisor for all of the Jurassic park films, and also inspired

the character Dr. Alan Grant.

So now that you know that it is possible to create a dinosaur hybrid, it could also be

possible for Jurassic park to be real.

According to Horner, There are several ways in which a real Jurassic park would be different

from the film.

For the purpose of the movie, Steven Spielberg made his velociraptors quite…well…viscious.

In real life, no animal hunts for sport, not even dinosaurs.

So if you happened to find yourself face to face with a velociraptor, they definitely

wouldn't tear open your car to get to you.

A real Jurassic park might resemble a wildlife reserve, where you could go on a safari and

observe dinosaurs in their habitat.

I would also like to point out that the dinosaurs in the film are likely a lot different from

what dinosaurs actually looked like millions of years ago.

Real life dinosaurs could have been any colour you can think of, because dinosaurs are related

to both reptiles and birds.

That includes bright green, blue, red and pink.

Despite objection from Horner, Steven Spielberg purposefully made the dinosaurs in Jurassic

park muted shades of dark green and brown, because it made them much scarier.

I mean, I guess that makes sense.

If a bright pink T rex was running after me, I definitely wouldn't be as scared as I

was in that scene from Jurassic park.

And according to the discovery of new fossils, many dinosaurs had feathers, especially velociraptors

and T rex.

But bringing back dinosaurs poses a big problem.

Because dinosaurs went extinct millions of years ago, they would become an invasive species,

and they would compete with native, current species for resources.

There aren't a lot of animals around right now that could become predators and take on

a dinosaur, so because of this, dinosaurs would reproduce rapidly.

They would hunt current species of animals and likely cause many to go extinct.

Dinosaurs would be no match for humans though.

If it ever got to the point where the dinosaurs we have brought to life begin to get out of

control and cause problems for us, we could simply eliminate them.

Perhaps it wouldn't be the best idea to create a real Jurassic park.

Running a dinosaur park would not be cheap.

It would cost something like 23 billion, 432 million dollars, according to business insider.

If a park was that expensive to run, that would mean a ticket to that park would be

around 7 thousand 500 dollars US.

So even if there was a real life dinosaur park, the vast majority of people wouldn't

get to experience it.

Would you want to experience a real life Jurassic park?

Let us know in the comments below.

We have come to the end of our video, thanks so much for watching the whole thing.

If you loved this video, you'll definitely love What if Michael Myers was real.

Or What if jigsaw was real.

Top 10 Scary Things Found In A Swimming Pool - Duration: 7:40.

Hello Top Tenners!

How are you doing today?

I am Rebecca Felgate and we're getting deep as we talk about the Top 10 Scary Things Found

in a Swimming Pool.

Yikes.

Let's start things off simply at number 10 - its scary, but we all know it is there

and we kind of ignore it….. we have Pee.

Nobody wants a golden shower in the pool, but 1 in 5 people have peed in the pool in

their adult lives.

That is not to mention how often kids accidentally pee in bodies of water!

On average a Olympic sized pool has around 830 thousand litres of water – and a rest

test of water quality showed that usually 75 litres of that is pure pee.

Not so much, when you think about it… but still… pee!

It has also been claimed that, when your eyes go itchy in the pool, it is as a result of

the chemical reaction between urine and water.

Ew.

Ew, to moo….at number 9, we have a Cow.

I don't know about you but I would be pretty concerned if I saw an unexpected cow in my

pool….

To be fair…who keeps an expected cow there.

Cows and swimming pools should not go together.

It has happens more often that you would expect….there have been several stories of cows falling

into pools.

Most recently a cow was mooved out of a pool in Oklahoma City in January 2017.

The owner heard a snorting in their back garden only to find a cow had torn a hole in the

pool cover and was trapped inside.

It was eventually rescued by fire crews.

It isn't just America where this happens either, similar stories have emerged of Cows

infiltrating back yards somehow and getting in the pool…of course they don't really

understand steps so then it is hard for them to get out.

8 - Car Can you imagine hearing a crash and running

out into your garden to find a CAR in your pool?

This is exactly what happened for Leighanna Brownlee when a teenager lost control of his

Dodge Charger in 2014 and smashed through a fence into her pool in Cypress, Texas.

It happens.

Recently – just this summer, a woman drove into a pool in Colorado Spings.

7 - Crocodile Ah, the

classic Croc in the pool…for those of you that live in the Sunshine State of Florida,

you'll be all too aware of this one.

Because there are a lot of crocs in Florida, it is pretty common that they seek a cool

body of water to chill in.

Honestly there are countless tales of crocs in pools it's hard to pick one!

It's not just Florida too…it's everywhere there's crocs and water in the same vicinity.

There is a crazy piece of CCTV footage from Zimbabwe that shows a couple in a pool and

a croc sneaking up on them and attacking!

Luckily they're okay… but….

Hello there sneaky night vision croc!

What could be scarier than a croc in a pool…for me a bear!

And a bear is who we have here at number 6!

Footage emerged of a bear taking a dip in a family's swimming pool in North Vancouver.

The bear seems to at first take a casual dip in the main pool, then moves on over to the

hot tub area to further chill out.

Sounds like a lovely afternoon at the spa!

The pool owners, Mr and Mrs Diering, said they were afraid as their neighbourhood has

a lot of small kids running around and they did not want the bear getting used to the

area.

Coming in at number 5, we have Snakes!

Get those mother flipping snakes outta that mother flipping pool!

Again, in hot areas with a lot of wild life, its very common for snakes to slither in to

pools.

So common, in fact, there are many internet how to's when it comes to removing snakes.

A video on Youtube with over 7 million views shows three kids in a pool with a snake that

emerges from the filter vent.

Initially the hids thought it was harmless, but after they realise it was actually a deadly

snake.

That is the kid of scary pool surprise I do not need.

Another scary pool surprise at number 4 – Poo So, according to a news article, humans have

around 15 grams of faecal matter on them or around them even after wiping…so even if

there isn't a great bog obvious turd waiting for you in the pool…which by the way has

also been known to be found on occasion, there will be faecal matter in the water.

Recently, The CDC collected samples from public pool filters and found that 58% tested positive

for E. Coli, which is usually found in feces…so…yeah…scary.

3 - Dead People A lot of people are found face down in pools,

usually from drink or drugs.

I can't imagine the fear of finding a body in a pool….There are so many incidents,

it is hard to pick.

If you google "found in pool…all the top results are bodies.

Many people drown in public pools, and recently, a 4 year old made the news after they called

911 when their sitter was found face down in the pool.

Large bodies of water are serious matters and when playing in pools there should always

be supervision.

When people die in pools…perhaps they leave more than just their bodies behind with them,

coming in to number two, we have ghosts!

There have been a number of reports of haunted swimming pools… and we all know what happened

to Barb in Stranger Things.

There is an old pool in the Rave in Milwaukee in an abandoned fitness club and legend has

it a person once drowned there, leaving behind their spirit.

Band, Outerspaceallstar made a video about their break in to the place…and it was creepy.

Get that ghost out of the pool!

Finally, at number one, the scariest and most likely thing on this list that you will find

in a pool…we have Disease . Pools need to be cleaned regularly.

A dirty pool with a lack of chlorine can be a huge issue, but even clean pools carry nasty

germs.

A lot of people don't shower before entering pool… a recent survey says that 48% of American's

do not shower before swimming…which is kind of cross.

Not only can you pick up verrucas and ear infections from pools, you can get worms.

Pinworm eggs can survive in chlorine and crypto germs can live in hot tubs for up to ten days.

Recently, a Texas man died after swimming with a fresh tattoo….he came into contact

with flesh eating bacteria and went to septic shock…so.. be careful.

Ironically, the tattoo said Jesus is my life.

So that was the top ten scary things found in pools… but don't be sad…I know this

list was scary…but here is some footage of dogs having a pool party!

episode 9/2017 Life is like a movie without a script - Duration: 34:10.

With a rhythm like the waves and the heart beating,

I knit one stitch after the other and one row after the other

at the same time I collect my thoughts and feelings

without the woolen threads, I get lost

but if I can knit one more row and one more, I can find my way home again

through the magic of the threads I take my way through the days and the nights

I live on Gotland, the island of the roses and the fairytales in the Baltic Sea

together with my husband and our children and Watson the cat

Kammebornia is our art project as well as our own kingdom

Kammebornia is about our wish that everyone could live in their own fairytale kingdom in this place we call reality

and it is about our wish that everyone could be the king or the queen in their own life

In the Kammebornia podcast we want to invite you to our world

that is full of thoughts, feelings and discussions

caused through the scent of the coffee and the soft peaceful rhythm of the knitting

Kammebornia podcast is about life in general and knitting in particular

A warm welcome to the 9th episode of the Kammebornia podcast 2017

Today it is autumn and we are up on the mountain behind Visby cathedral

Here we have a view over our medieval town and the Baltic sea

This episode is about the Sewing- and Yarnfestival in Stockholm that we went to

I will also show you some things I have been knitting and I will give you book recommendations

and I will tell you a little about my new pattern that will be released soon

I will also talk about how to handle November

and Dennis and I will talk about the fact that life sometimes feels like a movie

Warm welcome!

It is November and in between autumn and winter

We have been visiting Syfestivalen, the Yarnfestival in Stockholm and we met a lot of lovely people

We did not have much time to look at the yarns, but the people are the most important thing

Hello Pia!

Hi!

How are you?

Do you have to hold that?

Yes, maybe like this. So that the sound will be good.

Hello everybody!

Hello! And welcome! We are sitting on the mountain behind the church here in our beautiful town.

It is the middle of November and the sun is shining and there are still roses in bloom

It is amazing!

And we can wrap ourselves in wool

Yes!

We have been showing you some pictures from the yarnfestival in Stockholm

There were so many lovely meetings with wonderful people!

Yes, many hugs!

Yes, the best thing is all the lovely people and the good energy that comes from it.

But it is also very tiresome to be there

There are so many impressions that it takes time to rest and recover afterwards

Yes, we have to plan for that when we do those kind of things

Did you even have time to buy yarn?

Yes, a little...

I wanted to visit 60 Garner Nord and so I did

Now I have finished my new pair of Shine mittens in the yarn I bought from them

It is a yarn from Jamieson & Smith in the natural colours from the sheep

It is called Supreme Jumper weight natural

I have not blocked them and fastened the threads yet, they just came off the needles.

They are very good for my brown autumn

I also bought theese,

It is also Jamieson & Smith

I will make a Kate Davies beret

It looks good!

That's the yarn from the festival, then we brought home memories and meetings

You did not bring your Riddari today?

No. Why do you ask?

I have just started knitting the yoke

I have to concentrate

Yes, so in our next episode we can show some more

Ella is ahead of me on her Riddari, we have our own knitalong

But I am getting there

I have mostly been working on a secret knitting project that is soon coming out in the light

I can at least show you the yarn

These are the three lovely colours

It is a hand dyed sock yarn by Moods of Colors, called Humble regards from Devon

It is not super wash

Together with moodsofcolors.com, Yarnesty and Wenche Roald, I am hosting a sockalong this autumn

So we are three sock designers and one indie dyer and the project is called #mocsockalong

You can subscribe for the yarn kits by moodsofcolors.com and you can buy the patterns on ravelry

My sock is on its way

My inspiration is from one of our favorite tv-series,

Look at the colours and guess! But you already know...

The colours come from the uniforms on the midwives in Call the midwife

Their dresses are light blue and white and they also wear red cardigans

It is so great! Check out Call the midwife if you have not already!

I have always loved this colour combination

It is a winter sock and the pattern will be released on December the 1st

I call the sock Catch a falling star, which is a favorite song of mine

It is a song sung by Perry Como and it is also played in Call the midwife

You often play it for me

Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket, save it for a rainy day

So, while waiting to see the sock you can listen to the song Catch a falling star

I will show the sock in the next episode

As I have been knitting secret things I do not have so much to show

That's right, how crazy!

But there will be more later on

Today I started to knit a sock in a yarn I have not tried before

It is a very nice and beautiful sock yarn called Mayflower and I got it from my friend Marie at Opalicious

She was in our latest episode

You were laughing a lot

Yes... This is very much like the Zauberball yarn that I have used a lot, I like it

It is nice to knit in this yarn and it looks good

It looks lovely

During November, there is a special offer on this yarn at Opalicious webshop

You can show your bloomers!

But I have them on me!

Oh, typical!

I can not sit here and lift my skirt!

Oh, of course you can see my bloomers!

Ok, so there they were!

Oh, my God!

They are good looking!

Yes, they are, Majas bloomers!

I talked about this pattern in the latest episode

We are having a bloomer riot right now, to stand up and protect indie designers and our right to our patterns

I love Majas pattern, it is so great!

A lot of retro inspiration. I love them!

And they are so nice and warm to have on! And good looking!

The pattern is available for free in Swedish, German, English, Norwegian and Danish at Järbo.

The links are available on the Kammebornia podcast facebook!

You can also check out @majasmanufaktur

I found the pattern of the small hearts in an old retro knitting magazine

Here comes a book recommendation!

This is a new book, in Swedish, hopefully translated later on into English!

It is called Knitting cables and it is by Ivar Asplund, an amazing book!

Ivar is also amazing!

Yes! Ivar is even more amazing than the book!

We met Ivar the last time we were in Stockholm and we were drinking coffee together and we were talking a lot

about knitting and life

he has also been knitting since childhood, just like I have done

I am sure that we are going to have many more lovely moments together with Ivar

Ihave met him before, he works at a very nice yarn shop in Stockholm, called Litet Nystan, at Mariatorget

The book is more than just the patterns, because there are beautiful photos

it is nice to just sit and look at the pictures and turn the pages

Cable patterns

it contains both easy and more difficult projects

I like the first chapter with just pictures for inspiration

then there are the patterns

and at the end there is like an encyclopedia with different cable patterns and swatches

I have knitted a lot of cables, for example sweaters for the children when they were smaller, in different colours

Don't I have one?

Yes, I have made one for you, it is pretty worn out as you have used it a lot

Yes, it is a favorite

During November you will get a discount at bokus.com if you use the code flätor and buy this book

It is a nice Christmas gift!

I have knitted a pair of wrist warmers from the book, they are almost better on you,

they are a bit too big on me

Then I will get them!

They are so soft!

I have knitted them in the luxuary yarn from Opalicious that we talked about in the latest episode

It is cashmere

and I used a pattern from Ivar's book

I held the yarn double to get the right gauge

Talking about wrist warmers - I got a pair as a present from my friend Petra who made me these!

They are lovely!

Perfect for outdoor knitting

I guess that's it

We have this lovely book by Olle Carlsson with a thought for every day and also a question to think about

There is one page for each day

This book is suitable for all ages

There are nice things to reflect upon

Each day has a reflection and a question

It is a comforting book

Don't you think?

Yes and it starts both thoughts and discussions!

We have had a lot of lovely conversations with our children about things from this book

I will read a reflection here

This day, I do my best, life is like a theatre play but without a script

We actually do not have a chance practise or rehearsal

and we never know what the next scene is

if we had to do the right thing all the time, we would have to live our lives backwards

What was the most important moment in your life?

Oh...

This thing about that life feels like a theatre play or a movie... we often talk about that

Yes, we do. It is interesting

If life is a play ar a movie

or a fairytale

or a fairytale, the end is already spoiled

yes, we all know about the end

But there are so many people that seem to have forgotten about that

I think you do not want to think about it

You mean it is to survive?

But maybe it is the other way around?

Yes, I think it is important to be aware of the endness, the finiteness

I do not want to cause any depression, just an awareness

then we can truly appreciate what we have right now and understand the greatness

Life is so precious and we need to think about how we want to manage everything, how do we want to live?

You often say that time is all we have

Many people say that- I don't have time for that or that...

But we actually have time - we just have to decide what to do with it

People are often stressed and they think that things take too long

they want things to go fast

but if you want everything to go so fast you will soon die

Yes, if you just long for the next thing to happen all the time you are actually hurrying to the end

because you miss what is happening right now

But it can also be nice to long for things,

I try to say that I look forward to things, then I do not feel that I will miss what is now

Yes, it is sad if we should miss what is happening right now because we only focus on what is coming

it is not always easy

There was this question in the book, what is your most important moment?

Do you have a moment like that?

No, for me all moments are important

I do not mean that a good thing that happens is not worth something extra,

Of course there are important moments

but I think life is like a flow

Do you understand what I mean?

I understand. I think you are a master in the art of being here and now, you do not get irritated while waiting in a line

But of course you must be allowed to get irritated when you are in a hurry or something

But for me, it is not a help being irritated

I think people can get provoked by you being so calm

For me it is more like, Oh, here I am waiting for something and I am alive

I am so happy to be alive

I feel this gratitude of life when I wake up in the mornings and I want to seize that

oh, look, here are a group of children

And we hear the bells of St Mary

It is nice with children, they are good at being in the present moment

Yes, there is a big difference between children and adults

Why do we change from that when we grow older?

We start to plan and organize

As we go to bed in the evening, we know what we are supposed to do the next day

When I talk about things that i am going to do the next day or the next week - you often tell me that it is like

I have already done it, only in my head but anyway, it is like I have done it already

You have already had it in your process

It is like you do things twice

But does that mean that I do not have to do it - is it enough that I think of doing it?

Maybe

Travels fo example, you can skip many of them

You can have many experiences where you already are

I think I am trying to find a calmness

Don't worry!

It is nice where you are

If you are not in a horrible place, in jail or something

Maybe you want to get away then, but you still have to be present and accept your now

Sometimes people talk about that they are so stressed that they want to go somewhere to breathe

Like, I have to go to the country this weekend to breathe, I am so stressed, I need to get calm

You read that somewhere and started to laugh, because we got this vision of people holding their breath

and then very exhausted got out to be able to breathe

but only for a while, then they had to get back to the city or the office and hold their breath again

Life should not be like that

No! We were laughing, but actually it was not funny.

It is so sad if that it what it feels like

I can understand if it is a struggle to get everything to work, to get money to get food on the table and so on

it can really be a struggle

Yes! I find this very hard, because I am so often worried and feel anxious

Stress gets to me in a negative way

But when you get to the things you worry about, then they are not so bad

The worrying is almost always worse than the thing you worry about

Something like that

I often feel better if I go down to the beach and look at the horizon

That is a good thing

I feel calm there, listening to the waves

I let myself be small in the big universe

I feel surrounded in a good way

close to the creation

problems that seemed very big suddenly turn small, looking at the horizon

they shrink

And many problems shrink when we encounter really hard things, like really big disasters or crises

when life is at stake

Yes, then you really have to figure out what counts

You can use that experience and get very grateful for your life and feel more happiness

I like to sit here with you

Yes, this is a nice place and now it is almost sunset

Are we finished here?

Yes. And the sunset is a big show every night here, like a theatre play you never get tired of

Maybe we all are in a movie!

It is very exciting!

Thank you for a nice conversation!

The autumn winds are still warm and it is soon to be December

November is an easy game for me, it is not even a fight anymore

I love November

That has not always been the case

For many long years I did not like November at all

Back then, I was longing for light all the time, longing for spring and summer

I did not like rain, darkness and cold

Most of my life November has been a curse

But then I thought that if I stop fighting November, if I will feel better. If I go with the darkness instead of against.

I have to accept the things I can not change

So I put down my arms and stopped fighting

I started to light even more candles and fires

Light dwells in the darkness

And it worked. Now I love November!

I have always loved to do the things that are suitable to do in November,

light candles, read books by a fire, drink hot chocolate

knit warm garments, sleep, watch movies

go for windy and rainy walks

and then come indoors and get warm again

for many years I had to work on recovering November

Now, I can even wish that November was longer

it is a great month for rest and contemplation before December comes with all the preparations for Christmas

earlier it felt like a dark, cold and unwelcome cave that I did not know if I would ever escape from

now it feels like a soft arm to rest on

with lots of time and space for reflection and contemplation

of course it is easier to love November when I do not have to get up early, before I am awake and

when it is still dark drive away from my home

and then in the evening come home to a cold and dark house with hungry and tired children

as soon as I stopped doing all those stupid things and begun working at home instead, it got easier

I can sleep in the morning, until I am awake by myself and I can be outdoors if the sun is shining and work

at the computer in the evening instead, I can take care of the daylight

I can adjust to the season and the light

It is so strange that everything in our lives are supposed to be the same all year round, when the conditions

clearly not are the same

FS17 Timelapse #8 - going out to the woods [1/2] - Duration: 8:31.

The new Silo for grass and hay and all of that other stuff that the normal silo won't accept

It is time for some forestry machines

Now I'm using the "follow me" mod

The other tractor is a bit slower so we have to wait for him

sadly the conveyor belt of the shredder isn't high enough for the trailer

so we have to buy some normal conveyor belts

this time using the slower tractor to drive in so we don't have to wait for the other one

Now we can start cutting down trees

In timelapse it looks like that the crane is really shaky

New strategy will be that we aren't gonna cut the wood so short

that way we don't have to load and unload so many peaces

the forward driving tactic works out really well

Gluten Free + Vegetarian Paleo Pumpkin Coffee Cake for Thanksgiving - Duration: 3:27.

Hi Everybody!

My name is D the GFV and welcome to Food Fooder!

The channel where I find gluten free and vegetarian recipes on the internet, try them out, and

let you know how they go.

Today I'm making Paleo Pumpkin Coffee Cake from Jay's Baking me Crazy.

This is a really good pumpkin dessert alternative for those who don't care for pie.

It's pretty easy to make and would be great with a hot beverage after your Thanksgiving

Dinner.

I've linked the recipe from the site and my pin below.

To start off you'll need to a line a 9x9 baking dish with some parchment paper.

I'm not sure if there's any easier way to size it down, but this is how I did mine.

Next you're going to make the crumb topping.

In a small bowl mix in * 1/4 cup coconut flour

* 1/2 cup almond flour * 2 tablespoons coconut sugar

* 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon * 2 tablespoons maple syrup

* And 2 tablespoons of coconut oil

In another bowl, combine * 1/4 cup melted coconut oil

* 1/4 cup maple syrup * 1/4 cup coconut sugar

* And 1 cup canned pumpkin

Then mix in 4 eggs

Next mix in * 1 cup almond flour

* 1/4 cup coconut flour * 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

* 1 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice * 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

* 1/2 teaspoon salt

Once everything has been thoroughly combined, pour into your lined pan and sprinkle with

the crumb topping.

Bake in a preheated 325 degree oven for about 45 minutes.

And that's it!

I thought this had a really nice texture.

The topping didn't come together for me like I think a normal coffee cake would have, but

I really enjoyed it.

It also wasn't too sweet, which I liked because I don't want something super sweet when I'm

drinking my coffee.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this video!

Let me know in the comments below if you try this recipe out and what you think about it.

Unboxing Singles Swag - Duration: 4:42.

Find me camera.

Come on camera, I'm right here.

Hi everybody, I'm Amanda the G and facebook advertising got to me again.

They kinda know me.

And I have been sitting telling myself for like a week now that I don't need to get an

adult paint by number.

And I didn't get that yet.

Yet.

Because I probably will end up getting them because I kind of need the, but I don't need

them.

Facebook has been advertising me a subscription box for months and months and months, and

I ended up getting emails from them, and then they sent a coupon code at Halloween time

for like 30% off, so I bought six months of it.

So this is not sponsored cause they did not give me this.

It's singles swag.

Let's see what's inside this.

It's supposed to be 5 to 7 full-sized products.

(nails on cardboard) is that, is that a good sound?

Is that like the ASMR sounds?

(nails on cardboard) It has a little thing here - 'when you're thinking about who to

be good to, think of you' - ok.

Win your next box, love yourself first, blah, blah, blah.

It tells you the total retail value of this which I guess is supposed to make you feel

better for how much that you spent.

The total retail value of this box is $148 apparently.

Now I knew this was in there cause they spoil the boxes every month.

They show you like one or two things that are in them so that you buy them.

Um, this is a pedi buffer with built in cleanser, cleanse and buff all in one.

It's supposed to take off the calluses.

Which is actually partly why I bought this.

I have a callus on my finger.

That's from knitting because I've been knitting so much.

It's disgusting, I know it's disgusting (laughing).

What else do we have?

OH MY GOD.

OH MY GOD IT'S CHOCOLATE!

Yes, yes, yes, YAAASSS.

It's Italian dark chocolate.

This box is worth it for a bar of friggin' chocolate!

I love chocolate.

We've got some moisturizing lipstick.

And the color of this is called 'I love myself.'

Not gonna put it on right now cause I have lipstick on but that's, that's our color.

Look.

Beauty vlogger right here!

Fancy beauty vlogger showing you colors.

'Use this and you'll be showing your feet off' Dr Pedicure foot exfoliating mask.

For anyone asking, I will not be doing this on camera.

A headband.

It's a pretty headband.

Totally doesn't match anything I have on.

So that's 5 and it says 5 to 7.

Here's number 6, is a lip liner.

Which I'm hoping matches the other one.

Yeah.

(crinkling packaging) I wanna see what this looks like because the lipstick packaging

is so good.

(disappointed) oh.

It's not as super fun as I thought it was gonna be.

But there you go, see?

Lip liner in the same color.

'Scented by nature, Mr B's necessities lavender facial mist and toner'?

'Mr B's facial mist is a simple natural recipe designed to tone and brighten your skin.

Spray on face throughout the day for a refreshing skin healing experience.'

(spritz) That was a little bit of an assault to my face.

Ok.

It kinda reminds me of that part of yoga classes that I absolutely hate when they go and they

spray the room with this crap.

And it's also kind of burning a little bit.

I might actually be allergic to this.

I don't think I am, but I'm probably not gonna spray it on my face anymore!

That's not all because this box has one more thing in it, so I guess 5 to 7 means 8 this

time?

Unless you consider lipstick and lip liner as one, which is probably what they did.

Oh it's all tangled.

It's a necklace and it's all tangled, dangit, gimme a second, I gotta untangle this thing.

This is the necklace and it has a cute little, cute little bag.

It's not a bad necklace, it's just not normally a color that I would wear and I don't wear

a lot of jewelry.

Basically, I mean, the stuff isn't bad, it's not stuff that I would normally purchase for

myself.

I would never really buy like any of this except for the chocolate bar.

This is like making my day right now.

Let me know what you thought about this box in the comments and if you do any subscription

boxes.

And if you liked this video, click the like button and subscribe to my channel, I make

a new video every Tuesday and Friday.

Thank you guys so much for watching.

MWAH!

I gotta go wash my face before I get hives.

Asterina Starfish, pest or harmless? | Marine Invertebrates - Duration: 2:53.

Have you ever wondered what this starfish is in your tank?

The bumpy starfish was probably busted into some live rock or coral

new, but now there are dozens of little gray stars roaming their tank.

It is probable that this "outbreak" of echinoderms is actually the Asterina starfish.

The starfish Asterina is seen as more of an aquarium plague than an animal of

and even though most species of Asterina can coexist in their tank

without killing your corals, it can be difficult to tell which species of Asterina you have inherited.

It is true that some asterins can grow to be coral predators, but in general,

Asterina are innocuous members of a population of mature reef aquariums.

The mouth of a typical Asterina, is about 5/8 inches in diameter, or 1.5 cm

If you are keeping a reef aquarium, we can almost guarantee that at one point you

you will encounter an Asterina starfish.

It is with what we do with them that we have to decide, since a consensus has not yet been

achieved if the Asterina is friend or foe.

If there is an outbreak of starfish, you have to monitor your corals, especially

the base of the coral.

If you begin to notice uneven white marks, it is possible that your starfish has

obtained a taste for coral polyps and it is best to remove them from your aquarium.

Asterine stars reproduce by fragmentation (physical reproduction) and their bodies

divide by losing one or two legs at the same time they recreate as new stars

of the sea.

Asterina can have an asymmetrical appearance, and it may seem like you have a lot of stars

3-legged stars crawling in their tank.

It is also why it seems that all of a sudden, the night, which used to be a handful of

narrow stars, is now covering its rocks.

Asterina species commonly found in aquariums multiply by reproducing

Fissípara, or simply divide.

Here we see a small deformed Aterine with about 1/4 inch

Asterina starfish are small, around 1/4 "- 1/2" in diameter and can reach

a maximum size of 3/4 ", or 2cm.

As you can imagine, it would be difficult to remove each starfish one by one.

If you are ready to rid your Asterinas reef, it's time to ask for shrimp help

Harlequin.

This beautiful crustacean is a starfish killing machine and will seek and destroy your

starfish, rolling them on his back and devouring his delicious tube feet.

They will rapidly consume an Asterina infestation after a few weeks or months

of Harlequin addition.

If you buy a Harlequin cleaning staff, make sure you keep feeding

the stars of the sea or, unfortunately, they will die.

You can also join forces with some friends and share the shrimp among some

hobbyists to keep their Asterina populations under control.

Trump Just Declared We're Officially At War, Issues SHOCKING New Order – Doesn't Care Who's Offended - Duration: 4:49.

Trump Just Declared We're Officially At War, Issues SHOCKING New Order – Doesn't

Care Who's Offended.

An apologetic presidency catering to everything anti-American ended with Barack Obama.

President Donald Trump is in charge now and is doing everything it takes to make America

great again, no matter who offends.

With all the distraction on the petulant players in the NFL throwing National Anthem temper

tantrums, people have missed what else has been brewing which we'll soon be faced with

just less than two months from today.

Knowing what's coming, Trump has just declared a shocking new order.

When you're the leader of the greatest nation in the world, you can do what you want, which

we saw from Barack Obama who used that privilege for wrongdoing and the demise of our nation.

Trump is turning that train around by using his power for good in long-overdue ways, which

he promised to do when Americans voted him into office.

After publicly demanding that NFL players stand for the anthem, causing a heaping dose

of outrage from the left, he just doubled down on that declaration with what he's

insisting everyone starts saying now.

The liberal war of words is alive and well in our country.

The left wants to ban sentiments that trigger them and the right pointing out the obvious

that regardless of political standing, we all as Americans share the same right to the

First Amendment.

Now, Trump has just settled the most controversial phrase in our country once and for all by

making a new rule that's infuriating liberals.

The Hill reports:

President Trump reignited the "war on Christmas" on Friday, telling a crowd of supporters that

"we're saying Merry Christmas again" now that he's president.

Speaking to a packed crowd at the Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C., Trump argued political

correctness has gotten in the way of celebrating the holiday.

"We're getting near that beautiful Christmas season that people don't talk about anymore.

They don't use the word Christmas because it's not politically correct," he said

to strong applause and cheers from the audience at the Christian public policy conference,

sponsored by the Family Research Council.

"You go to department stores and they'll say 'Happy New Year,' or they'll say

other things and it'll be red, they'll have it painted.

But they don't say — well guess what?

We're saying Merry Christmas again."

Trump went on to briefly pivot toward his push to cut taxes, calling for tax reform

as a "Christmas gift."

It's incredible to have a leader of this nation who doesn't want to take a sledgehammer

to the faith base that our country was built on.

America has always been great and steeped in tradition but it was liberals who systematically

dismantled that by making everything good and right, offensive and somehow wrong.

"He's used the argument on the campaign trail as a way to assert that political correctness

is preventing Christians from expressing their religious beliefs," The Hill report continued.

"And to bring the point home, his campaign held a 'thank you' rally in Wisconsin

last December where he spoke in front of a row of large Christmas trees."

"So when I started 18 months ago, I told my first crowd in Wisconsin that we are going

to come back here someday and we are going to say merry Christmas again," he said at

the time.

"Merry Christmas.

So, merry Christmas everyone."

Trump wants Christmas back in the agenda.

I'm guessing he's tired of everyone complaining about it.

I am too.

It wasn't ever a problem years ago and it's not a problem now.

Christmas is one of the biggest holidays in America and we're sticking to it.

We're not getting rid of Christmas.

We're not calling it winter holiday.

We're not letting these politically correct crybabies bully everyone into feeling bad

about loving Christmas.

It's a holiday where we celebrate an imaginary obese dude who somehow drops 100 lbs every

time he slides into our blackened chimneys, drops off loads of gifts with the price tags

scribbled out with a Sharpie, and somehow slithers back up the hole he came from and

leaves the scene without a trace.

No footprints.

Not a stain on his clothes.

Nothing but maybe a bite of a cookie and a sip of some room temperature milk.

It's our holiday and we'll enjoy it and give attention to what the real reason for

the season is.

Anyone who finds it offensive can celebrate their own holiday, but don't cry about ours.

You don't see conservatives whining about other people's holidays.

Go celebrate!

Enjoy your day and we'll enjoy ours and we can all celebrate New Year's Eve together.

Unless that, of course, is offensive too.

Is the calendar offensive to snowflakes as well?

Are we starting a #NotMyNewYear hashtag trend?

I think not.

Christmas is around the corner, but here's an early MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of you and

yours in hopes that it triggers some snowflakes and anti-Christmas goons.

What do you think about this?
