A 7.3-magnitude earthquake has struck off the east coast of Australia near New Caledonia.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake hit just after 9:30 a.m.

Monday, local time, about 80 kilometers east of the Loyalty Islands, at a depth of 25 kilometers.

A tsunami warning has been issued for New Caledonia and Vanuatu, with waves as high

as one meter forecast to hit their coastlines.

Korea's producer prices in October continue upward trend - Duration: 0:54.

Producer prices, a barometer of consumer inflation, continued their upward trend for the fourth

consecutive month here in Korea.

According to the Bank of Korea's preliminary data Monday, the producer price index for

October was up slightly from the previous month, hitting one-hundred-three-point-zero-one,

its highest figure since December 2014.

The figure is an increase of three-point-five percent on-year.

Prices of agricultural goods fell almost 14 percent on-month -- the largest on-month drop

since the Bank started recording the data in 1965.

Livestock prices also fell eight-point-four percent on-month in October.

But these falls were offset by a rise in the price of petroleum products and manufactured

goods on the back of rising global oil prices, resulting in an overall rise in October's

producer price index.
