K-pop band BTS sets Guinness World Record for most Twitter engagements - Duration: 0:49.

K-pop mega group B-T-S has earned a spot in this year's edition of the Guinness World

Records... for having the most Twitter engagements for a music group.

Guinness World Records shared the news on its official Twitter account after congratulating

the group for its (quote) "stellar performance" at the American Music Awards.

It has yet to reveal how many retweets or posts B-T-S acquired for the performance,

…but the group's profile is currently ranked first with more than a quarter-of-a-million

retweets.

B-T-S was previously honored in September for having the second-most Twitter engagements

after British artist and former One Direction star Harry Styles,… in the latest edition

of the official world record book updated up to May.

Trump and Putin discuss North Korean issue - Duration: 0:35.

U.S. President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin spoke on the phone

for over an hour on Tuesday, discussing North Korea among other issues.

According to the White House, Trump and Putin discussed "the need to continue international

pressure on North Korea to halt its nuclear weapon and missile programs."

Apart from talking about terrorism and the crisis in Syria, they also spoke about the

state of affairs in North Korea and ways to further pressure the rogue nation.

The call came just over a week after their brief meeting on the sidelines of the APEC

summit in Vietnam.

ASEM participants adopt chair statement condemning North Korea - Duration: 0:42.

Top diplomats from Asia and Europe have denounced North Korea's recent provocations... while

renewing calls on the regime... to lay down its nuclear weapons.

The message came from the Chair's statement... at the conclusion of the two-day Asia-Europe

Meeting in Myanmar... attended by senior envoys from 51 countries.

The participants backed South Korea's plan... to ease tensions on the peninsula and establish

lasting peace... through political and diplomatic means.

Seoul's Vice Foreign Minister Lim Sung-nam ... who was at the meeting... also held a

number of sideline discussions... to promote bilateral economic exchanges... as well as

the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

So today in this video, I'm going to be talk about Kalle Lasn's claims of false

brand communities.

False brand communities are groups that are formed based on a person's conscious of

kind which means trying to fit in with people that are somewhat like you or exactly like

you, shared traditions, and moral responsibility.

Lasn states that these types of groups do not completely satisfy ones needs because

not everyone that joins these types of groups necessarily wants to.

It's just a natural human instinct that makes one want to feel or be a part of something.

These claims made me think about a personal experience that I've had in the sports world.

In the NHL the 'National Hockey League", there is an African American player by the

name of P.K.

Subban.

Subban and his team (The Nashville Predators) made it to the Stanley Cup final last season

and he was getting a lot of coverage by sports networks because he was leading the team.

I don't even watch or like hockey, but when I saw him and his team in the championship,

I instantly wanted them to win because it's rare seeing an African American thriving in

the NHL.

I felt like it was only right to root for him and his team due to similarity.

CCTV footage shows North Korean soldier crossing MDL during pursuit of defector - Duration: 2:11.

In scenes that wouldn't look out of place in an action movie,... the UN Command has

released CCTV footage of last Monday's defection by a North Korean soldier at the Joint Security

Area.

Officials say North Korea violated the Armistice Agreement twice during the incident,... with

the dramatic footage showing a soldier from the North briefly crossing the Military Demarcation

Line during his desperate pursuit of the defector.

Kim Hyun-bin reports.

The United Nations Command on Wednesday released a video showing a North Korean soldier defecting

to the South through the Joint Security Area of Panmunjeom last Monday.

The video shows the defector was using a jeep for his escape until it became stuck in a

drainage ditch.

As the defector got out of the jeep and started sprinting towards the Military Demarcation

Line separating the two Koreas, four North Korean soldiers opened fire at him.

Dozens of rounds were fired with several bullets hitting the defector.

The footage also shows one North Korean soldier crossing the military demarcation line for

a few seconds during the pursuit.

Soon after crossing the MDL, the soldier returns to the north side of the border.

The defector was wounded and fell unconscious on the southern side of the border.

Three South Korean soldiers crawled towards him and dragged him to safety.

The UNC Special Investigation Team said that the investigation results show that North

Korea violated the UN Armistice Agreement twice during the pursuit.

"The key findings of the special investigation team indicate that the KPA violated the Armistice

Agreement by... one firing weapons across the MDL, two by actually crossing the MDL

temporarily."

The UNC notified North Korea of these violations at the JSA on Wednesday through the normal

communications channel in Panmunjeom, and requested a meeting to discuss the results

of the investigation and measures to prevent future violations.

The UNC Special Investigation Team said on Wednesday the investigation team was made

up of personnel from Australia, New Zealand, South Korea and the United States.

Members from Sweden and Switzerland of the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission also

observed the process.

Hi I have my friend Yetzie here today. She's a graphic designer.

So I wanted to ask her a couple questions about her thoughts on the term 'sex sells'.

So do you agree or disagree that sex sells?

I do agree. I think that it's used a lot in advertising and with younger children and younger actors

So as a graphic designer do you utilize sex to sell?

So to an extent I see it in graphic design, mostly in magazine layouts but you can't really control that.

but definitely in like perfume advertising and just fashion in general.

What are your thoughts on sex selling in movies and television compared to ads you see walking on the street and stuff?

But yeah you definitely see it a lot more on film opposed to design or like on print

And then is there a specific commercial or ad you can think of that's pretty universally known that uses sex to sell?

Oh yeah, the 1984 Mac commercial which was like the very first Macintosh commercial

If you're not familiar with it, it's a woman running down a hall with an ax and she's in like a scantily clad outfit

And she's selling a computer which is completely random.
