How to make LEGO Droids WALK ? - Duration: 3:31.
Hi everyone ! A lot of you were wondering how I
animate my LEGO battledroids. We can see the walk in my previous video
Battlefront 2 trailer recreation and also in my C-3PO Exo Suit animation.
An other example of my walking droids is
a picture on my Flickr account.
This droid is the official Lego version of the Star Wars battledroid. As you can
see, it is static not very sophisticated
When I first got this LEGO battledroids, I realized it wasn't as flexible
as the droids we can see in the LEGO mini-movies, so I decided to make an improved
version of it. Thanks to a minor modification, you can move the legs more fluidly
Impressive right !
Just by cutting the legs and adding sewing pins, your
droid comes alive. Arms and head can be improved as well !
The modification is quite simple but improved clearly the final result. It changed
my life in stop-motion animation and it could change yours too in other applications.

My little secret is to use two round single studs. It stabilizes the droid and remains discreet.
I place it under the droid's feet.
