As our theme was "natural makeup"
To follow the theme, I did not put strong color eyeshadow
Instead, I put some shimmer eyeshadow to make eyes bigger
I used shimmer and glittering eyeshadow base
Hello! I am Layla, called as "Laynya'chi"
I am a student at Bunka Fashion College
I am also a free-lance model and sometime appear on TV
Today, I show you how to do "natural makeup" for your daily use
Hope this will give you some tips!
Let's start!
I used color contacts from a Korean website called "QueensLends"
This time I used gray ones
These contacts have pointy circles which help them to match your eyes naturally
And you can tell their color clearly but in a natural way
The makeup base is from "Cezanne"
I saw some comments on a review site
That said it was like those of "Primavista(Kao)" which I used to use
Then I bought it and felt that was true
It doesn't get messed up, so I used for this time
You don't need to use a lot at one time
If you take a little, it will extend onto your skin smoothly
If you like to put it a little more thick, you can apply it over and over, not big amount at once
The foundation is from "Revlon"
this one covers the part you want to cover with small amount
neither gets oily nor messy
such a perfect one, I would say
I use this these days
Put some foundation on the back of your hand
apply it on your cheeks, forehead, chin and so on like dots
Then use this brush, that you might have seen it on Instagram
Spread foundation by rubbing with the brush
This brush really helps foundation to over your skin so naturally
Covers the pores and make foundation fit to your skin
I this this helps the base makeup to last long
This is my recommendation
I also used Revlon's face powder
I personally think it is better to use all base makeups from one same brand
Then I found that this powder had good reputation for long-lasting
I think this powder matches perfectly with the foundation and makes it even more stable
So my another recommendation
For the contour, I used to use another one but one day I needed to buy a substitution
Then I bought an orange cheek powder from a one-hundred-yen shop
I like putting contour in a wide way, I put some on cheek, too
Cuz it's orange, does not stand out too much
You can use it like a normal dark tone contour
I am satisfied with my substitution
So how to put the contour
I don't do any thing special
I just put it where I want to look sharp
One thing I do is to put it in slanting directions
So that your face will look good and sharp
I used the highlight from "Anna Sui"
I've been using this one case more than a year
It has such a nice cost-performance
The color tone is nice because it's not like strong white
It's a mix of lavender and blue and those colors that match with your skin
It gives you a natural tone and makes your nose look higher so naturally
I recommend this one
How to put this
Under the eyes,
forehead to nose, and chin
I recently put some on sides of eyes
I think this helps your eyes to look gorgeous
For nose contour, I used this one from "Cezanne"
Actually it was for all the face but since it was crushed and fell into small pieces
I use it for nose with this small brush
The way I put it is very normal
I start with the inner edge of the eyebrow and go down over some times
When I feel too much, I rub a little with fingers and brush
To take off the too much part
I used this gold eyeshadow base from " Dolly Wink"
This gives nice and shimmer color with a light touch
As our theme was "natural makeup"
To follow the theme, I did not put strong color eyeshadow
I used shimmer and glittering eyeshadow base
I take a little on the tip of a finger and spread it onto whole eyelid
For eyeshadow, I used this brown-base one from "RIMMEL"
I used those for the upper eyelids
Firstly, I put light color one on the top of the eyeshadow base with brush
Then put a little more brown one
put it in smaller areas with this type of brush
then put darker color with smaller brush
This will be like a rough sketch for eye-lines
Next, for under eyelids
I used this brown one from "JILL STUART"
I put it on the outer edge, in a triangle form
Then without putting more on the brush
I put toward inner edge and lower part of the lower lash line, just so lightly
Also for the lower lash line
I used this silver color from the same "JILL STUART" palette
I think this one is supposed to be eyeshadow base
I put it for lower lash line
This shadow has strong sparking color
But doesn't stand out in a bad way and stays natural in your skin
I recommend to use it for your lower lash line
Next, eyeliner
I first used this navy-color pencil type one
For me, the outer part of the eye-line sometimes disappear
So after the pencil, I draw another line with liquid type
Those pencil eye-lines are for rough sketch for the liquid ones. I draw lines in the outer edge and eyelash line
How to draw lines with a liquid eyeliner
Start from the inner edge toward outer edge, try to draw straight
Try to draw over the pencil lines
For the outer edge, try not to draw too long
Not too high or too low from your eyelash line, try to keep it natural
Follow your eyelash line for this natural makeup
For lower part of the lower lash lines
I draw lines with this pencil, trying to follow the brown shadow that I drew before
This is a pencil for eyebrows
Then blend out the pencil lines with a brush. A flat type brush will work
This helps the lower part of the eyes to look puffy
For eyelashes
Firstly, let's curl a little the eyelashes with eyelash curler
Not too much, though.
Because we want to make it natural
For the eyebrows
These days I usually make my eyebrows pink because of my hair color
Pink eyebrows stand out and doesn't match with our theme today
This time I draw it with a brown pencil
After drawing it
I blend the lines with screw type brush and a tiny brush
I think this way of doing it is easy
To form a good shape of the eyebrows
I recommend it
To decide the angle of eyebrows
It's better to decide it with your bangs
If eyebrows appear between bangs
And the outer edge goes slightly down
That gives you a girly look
So when you draw
Try to draw the outer edge in lower angle than your natural eyebrows
That will match nicely when you dress up with girly outfits
After drawing lines, color up eyebrows with an eyebrow mascara
I used one with lighter color than the pencil, almost blond one
The reason is dark tone eyebrows doesn't really match for natural makeup
I think it's better to have eyebrows with lighter color
For the cheek, I used this pink cream type one
I think cream ones fits with the skin easily
I first put it in lateral way with fingers
Then blend it to your skin with a brush
This helps the color to fits to your face naturally
For the mascara, I used "LASHIONISTA" from "MAYBELLINE NEW YORK"
I found this mascara with good reputations
So I start to use this
I like to put more impact for lower lashes
This one has a good shape of brush so that it's easy to put in small parts
And also it adds length
I like those points
My upper lashes grow towards down
And they don't go upper way
But, to make a good balance with the lower lashes,
I added length to upper lashes with the mascara
This lipstick I used is called "CITY COLOR", it's not Japanese one
I forgot where I bought
The color is perfect for daily use
Not too pink, not too red
It's like orangish pink
I thought it would match with our natural makeup
The texture is kind of creamy
I think it doesn't really damage your lips
Then it spreads on your lips smoothly and the color comes out well
I recommend this lipstick
Since we want to do "natural makeup"
I did not curl my hair this time
So I set it straight
Only for bangs, I curled a little on the tips
Then I let the bangs to slide a little towards a side
So here is a point
As I said in the eyebrow section
If you let your outer edge of eyebrow show between the bangs
It will give you a girly look
So I would say take time to make the good shape of the bangs
If you want that look
So how did you like my natural makeup?
The tip to make natural makeup was
to use brown eyeshadows and eyebrows....
those colors you tend to have and may feel easy to use
I say that is a tip to make it natural
So my outfits today
The jacket and the baseball cap add kind of boyish taste
On the bottom
I wear purple plaid skirt
This add some girly taste
I think I made a nice mixture of boyish and girly style
On "KAWAII-PATEEN" channel
There are some other makeup tutorials of mine
Please check them, too!
Bye bye!
