How Pez Is Made | How Stuff Is Made | Refinery29 - Duration: 4:11.

Tiny, tasty packs of a dozen,

these sweet sweets swept America all of a sudden.

One for you, one for me.

Interactive is the way to be.

The Pez Space Trooper!

And it's always handy,

when it's time for Pez candy.

Sharing is fun and can be sweet

when you have plenty of Pez candy to eat.

Pez comes from the word Pfeffermintz

which means "peppermint" in German.

The first, middle, and last letters are P-E-Z.

Pez!

Pez was first dispensed in Vienna, Austria in 1927.

They were tiny, round, candied mints,

an alternative to smoking cigarettes.

The first Pez mint dispensers were known as "Regulars."

They were pocket-sized dispensers that looked

like cigarette lighters.

To market these,

the company created the icon of the Pez Girl,

a gorgeous pin-up girl flashing

a million dollar smile and a fresh pack of Pez.

The motto for the campaign?

"Smoking prohibited.

Pezzing allowed."

After World War II,

Pez traveled overseas and to America

but adults still loved smoking more

than they loved Pez.

So they shifted their marketing towards children

and added more candy-like flavors.

They gave the dispensers some flair

and then Pez was no longer just a mint,

or even a candy, but a cult classic.

The first and most important part of making Pez

is the sugar.

50,000 pounds of granulated sugar is delivered

every four days to the Pez factory.

Inside the factory,

the granulated sugar goes through a milling process

and is ground into confectioner's sugar

in 600 pound batches.

Then the mass of sugar is mixed with corn syrup,

plant-based fat, color, and flavor.

The six primary flavors of Pez are strawberry,

cherry,

raspberry,

lemon,

orange,

and grape.

The dry Pez mix is pressed to

make the tiny candies.

It takes 3,000 pounds of pressure

to form just one Pez tablet.

Approximately two million tablets are pressed

in a seven and a half hour shift.

Throughout its process,

Pez candy goes through a

rigorous quality control.

First each little candy is measured to make

sure it is exactly nine grams,

nothing more,

nothing less.

Then the candy goes through a metal detector.

Please gather your belongings

before proceeding to your gate.

The machine you see here is capable of wrapping

100,000 rolls in a seven and a half hour shift.

Once the Pez are wrapped,

they go through another machine where cameras

inspect each package.

The Pez have to be perfect.

After the candies are wrapped,

they're married to a dispenser.

They're put through a blister machine which

seals all of the candies in a pringle-like fashion.

Then the blister is dropped into the dispenser

and sent off to shipping.

At Pez, no sugar goes to waste.

The Pez that don't pass quality control

are sent to farms as a special treat

for these guys.

Isn't that sweet?

(Cow) Moo!

This year Pez celebrates its 90th birthday.

They've come a long way from

those tiny Pfeffermintz.

Pez dispensers are now sold in more than

60 countries worldwide.

Fan favorites include

Popeye,

Minnie Mouse,

and the Santa Clause dispenser

which still reigns as the best selling

Pez dispenser of all time.

Scheme of earning on the erotic phone customer service phone operators - Duration: 2:08.

The idea of a 356 - Telephone service conversations on erotic themes, the question arose - "How to get paying clients?". This topic is of interest to many and I decided to cover a separate idea. The fact that telephone operators in different countries are calculated with each other at negotiated rates, and the difference of incoming and outgoing traffic. Therefore, the organizer sex chat arranges for room service to a little-known company in the third world, from which the city calls - a zero without a stick. Ie, if this number call, for example, from Russia, Rostelecom will then set the customer's international phone bill. I.e. the receipt of money is not Your concern. Further, because there is in Russia no calls, Rostelecom lists real money Your Herisau Somali or carrier for incoming traffic. This operator takes a percentage for their services plus charges for forwarding the traffic on Your Android phone in Orekhovo-Coconut where You actually sit your aunt and answering the phone. If this diverted traffic is bought in wholesale are cheaper rates at the same Rostelecom, while he charges the customer $ 3-5 per minute, also with a percentage. In the end, all get the profit, but the client, which is kept in one place, as in the case of non-payment his phone is shut off is perfectly legal. The scheme is of course slightly simplified, but the bottom line is do so.

[Reenter ADRIANA] | Twincidents Ep. 2 - Duration: 4:37.

Have you missed me?

[sparkly noises]

That's right, I'm back!

[jazz hands silence]

You may remember me from my production videos last year

when I chronicled "A Winter's Tale"

and "The Country Wife".

But for those of you who are new, my name is Adriana Hill,

better known to the internet and stage as "Adriana Violet".

And this channel is where I vlog life as

a theater student here at Ephesus University.

Or rather, where I vlogged life.

I kind of dropped the ball on that for a little while.

But I'm back and I am determined to stick around.

We are doing "Twelfth Night" and I got a callback audition for Viola.

Oh, wouldn't it just be perfect?

Adriana Violet. Viola.

It's gotta be destiny!

I'll keep you updated.

But for now, I thought I'd kick things off by answering a few of your questions.

Which reminds me...

[singsong yelling] Luuuuuke!

Offscreen Voice: Yeah?

[laughing] Come here a sec!

Enter stage right: Luke McRae.

Sugarplums, I'm you sure you all remember my BFF Luke--

Beautiful human, bearded wonder, and costume designer extraordinaire.

Hardly. What's this?

My triumphant return to vlogging!

Oh, awesome. Hey everyone!

[laughter]

So what did you need me to--

--Here, take this. It's Q&A time.

[sparkly noises]

During my 10ish month-long absence,

you Jellybeans have left me quite a lot of questions.

But ponder no longer for today is the day I answer them

with the help of my charming assistant here.

Oh really?

Pleaaaaase?

[Sighing] Fine.

Okay, so the first question is along the lines of:

"Where are you? We miss you!"

Aww! I missed you too.

And I wish I had a more interesting answer for you,

but the truth is I just got busy.

We did "Into the Woods" as our spring production

last year and I played Rapunzel,

which was exhaust-credible.

Who knew that studying for finals

and rehearsing a musical at the same time could be SO tiring!

I planned on vlogging as well,

but that turned out to be a bit ambitious.

I think there's probably another reason you were a little busy...

Okay, let me give you a hint:

PutALiddyOnIt commented and said:

"What happened to you and Alex? You can't leave us in suspense like this!"

Oh! [clapping]

[singing to the tune of "Alexander Hamilton"] *Alexandra Everett! Her name is Alexandra Everett!*

Yes, Alex. I recently rewatched my last few vlogs

and boy, was I crushing hard.

For those of you who are new, Alex is a super cute math student

who I met last year...

who is now my girlfriend!!! That. Happened.

She asked me out after the premiere of "Into the Woods"

It was so sweet and romantic. She bought flowers and everything.

It's been going super well so far.

I can confirm that they're pretty adorable.

We are full-on adorbs!

Totes.

And I'm sure our adorableness will be gracing your screen sometime soon.

Jamie asks: Are you Luke rooming together next year?"

Yes. As you can see we are no longer little freshmen dormers,

but proud house-renters.

We share this space with Oli, who's a grad student.

But he spends most of his days at the library,

so we have the spot to ourselves most of the time.

Which is great for dance parties, vlogging, and rehearsals in the living room.

I'm not quite sure the neighbors were prepared

for yesterday's rendition of "Bop to the Top" though.

It's a good warm-up! And it would have sounded better if you'd sang Ryan's part.

I had to do it all by myself.

I don't think me singing anything will make anything better.

[laughing]

riverbird3 asks: "What play are you doing next?"

Oh, I already told them before you came in.

But I didn't tell them where it's gonna be set!

It's gonna be set in space!

[singing "Star Wars" theme]

[Adriana continues singing] Okay, so the director, Balthazar Pinch--

--You know my wacky professor with the Shakespeare-quoting parrot?

He wants to do a retro-futuristic sort of design which I'm really excited about.

We're thinking "Return to The Forbidden Planet" meets "How to Steal a Million".

I've seen Luke sketching, it's going to be awesome.

It's just gonna be wild, and weird, and amazing!

Well, thank you charming assistant.

Most welcome.

And see you next week, Pumpkins!

By then I'll know if I have the part!

She will.

Bye!

It's good to be back.

The Fallacy of Customer Service - Duration: 2:06.

Hi, I'm Mike Crandall. At our firm we specialize in sales, management, and leadership development.

Today I want to talk to you about something that might be hurting your business that you

probably never thought about before, and that's the fallacy of customer service. The fallacy

of customer service. Now what do I mean by that? Most organizations approach customer

service incorrectly. They view it as a department, or a people, or something that we do. They

reach out to organizations like us and they ask for customer service training. Now why

is this the wrong mindset? Let me share with you something that's likely to make you uncomfortable.

If we're looking at things from a customer service perspective, it means that we're addressing

and handling problems, and we're extremely reactive in how we're taking care of things.

Nobody wants to call the customer service department. Now, likely, this is going on

in your organization and you've never thought about it. So what should you do instead? I

want you to think about the words customer care. Customer care. Now what's customer care?

Customer care is how we proactively approach dealing with clients and customers. How we

create an environment and a vision and a mission and a strategy to take care of them, not just

when there's an issue, or a challenge, or a problem, but all the time .So let me ask

you a question. Is your mindset around customer service hurting your business, or holding

you back in some way? If you're not sure, you should probably do some work. If this

is something you'd like to visit about, we're more than happy to do that. Our contact info

is on the bottom of the screen, and we'd love to visit with you. Once again, my name is

Mike Crandall, and good selling.
