5 POPULAR ORANGE JUICE BRANDS THAT TESTED POSITIVE FOR MONSANTO'S GLYPHOSATE - Duration: 6:03.5 POPULAR ORANGE JUICE BRANDS THAT TESTED POSITIVE FOR MONSANTOS GLYPHOSATE
BY Aaron Kesel,
Two samples of five major U.S. brands of orange juice including Tropicana and Minute Maid
tested positive in lab results for contamination with Monsantos cancer-causing chemical,
glyphosate, Moms Across America reported.
The average American consumes about 2.7 gallons of orange juice per year since 2015 according
to the USDA food statistics.
OJ is rich in vitamin C, fiber, and contains antioxidants that help protect and nourish
the skin among many other benefits but according to grassroots non-profit Moms Across America,
that may also be a toxic cocktail that is slowly killing Americans every morning.
The study was conducted using two samples from the five major juice producers Tropicana,
Minute Maid, Stater Bros, Signature Farms, Signature Farms and Kirkland.
The chemical was deemed a probable human carcinogen by the World Health Organizations
International Agency for Research on Cancer in March 2015, was found in amounts ranging
from 4.43 parts per billion to 26.05 ppb by the groups tests.
The controversial chemical is the active ingredient in Monsantos Roundup product used to selectively
kill weeds by farmers manufactured by Monsanto, and 750 other brands of glyphosate-based herbicides.
Moms Across Americas stated that as little as 0.1 ppb of glyphosate is capable of destroying
beneficial bacteria in the stomach.
Further, repeated exposure to glyphosate is capable of weakening the immune system and
potentially leading to a host of health problems down the road.
The discovery of glyphosate residue in orange juice is unacceptable, especially since
a branch of the World Health Organization designated glyphosate a probable carcinogen,
two years ago, back in the spring of 2015.
The EPA has had ample time to revoke the license of this chemical and restrict its use in our
food and beverage crops.
As confirmed by the American Academy of Pediatrics, our children (who frequently drink orange
juice for breakfast) are especially vulnerable to pesticides and measures should be taken
immediately to protect them, Moms Across America founder Zen Honeycutt stated.
The post also included research that the toxic chemical glyphosate may stimulate breast cancer
at such small amounts that it should scare everyone at as little as 1 part per trillion.
Just think about how that, in turn, would affect kids whose anatomic structure is smaller
than adults as the body is just starting to develop.
This comes as Monsantos other chemical product Dicamba has been banned in Arkansas
which the company has disputed suing the Plant Board in response.
A Canadian Food Inspection Agency Health Canada has previously documented that glyphosate
was found in 1.percent of food samples including 4 percent of grain samples of more than 3,000
samples, Producer reported.
Glyphosate was also listed as a carcinogen on California EPAs Prop 65 list in July
of 2017, while a study published earlier in the year in January of 2017 proved chronic
consumption of low levels of Roundup (which contains glyphosate) caused fatty liver disease
in animals.
Moms Across America is urging concerned citizens to contact each of the five companies listed
below to request that they switch to organic oranges for their products.
The five major brands that tested positive in Moms Across Americas test according
to the lab results are:
1.
Tropicana, with amounts of 26.05 ppb and 25.12 ppb in glyphosate residues.
Both samples were purchased from Target stores.
(Tropicana- Pepsi-Co (914) 253-2000 CEO Indra Nooyi)
2.
Minute Maid, with amounts of 13.54 and 12.65 ppb, purchased from Jack in the Box stores.
(Minute Maid Coca-Cola (800)-438-2653 Alexander Douglas Jr.
President)
3.
Stater Bros., with amounts of 4.93 and 4.43 ppb, purchased at the stores of the same name.
(Stater Bros -(855)-782-8377 CEO Peter Van Helden)
4.
Signature Farms, with amounts of 6.33 and 5.78 ppb, purchased at Vons stores.
(Vons (877)-723-3929 -CEO Willam Davilla)
5.
Kirkland, with amounts of 5.96 and 4.33 ppb, purchased at Costco stores.
(Costco (425)- 313- 8100- CEO Craig Jelinik)

The End of Moore's Law?! (Shrinking The Transistor To 1nm) - Duration: 11:24.Hi, thanks for tuning into Singularity
Prosperity. This video is the second in a
multi-part series discussing computing.
In this video, we'll be discussing modern
computing - more specifically, Moore's Law
with the exponential growth of
technology due to our ability to pack
more and more transistors into
integrated circuits and the potential
death of Moore's Law! In the previous
video we discussed the evolution of the
field of computing, from the pre-computer
era to vacuum tubes, transistors and
finally the integrated circuit. I highly
recommend you check it out for some more
background context into computing. One of
the largest breakthroughs in electronics
and computing was the integrated circuit,
a way to put many transistors into a
single chip instead of individually
wiring them together. After Gordon Moore,
one of the founders of Intel saw the
doubling of transistors on integrated
circuits, he extrapolated the data and
made one of the greatest predictions in
human history:
"The number of transistors and resistors
on a chip would double every 24 months",
in other words, computing power would
double every 24 months at low cost.
Integrated circuits are used in
practically every device that requires a
digital logic operation to be done, these
operations can consist of converting
analog signals to digital, amplifiers,
computation oriented - the list can go on
and on. As our world becomes more
digitized, the amount of integrated
circuits will only continue to increase.
In fact, every year since the birth of
the IC in 1958,
more and more have been produced year in
and year out, with for the first time
ever in 2018, more than 1 trillion to be
produced in just that year alone! The
most astonishing part about this fact is
that this number is only set to grow as
sensors and computers become ever more
ubiquitous and affordable. Looking at
just one field in the broad scope of
technology, the Internet of Things,
connected devices are expected to nearly
double from this year to 2020, reaching
over 50 billion, with each one of those
devices having tens, hundreds or even
more ICs within them. Almost everything
is on its way or has an IC in it from:
airplanes, cars, speakers, blu-ray players,
toys, door locks, lights and countless
other technologies. The real power of ICs
however and what has really shaped our
world and fueled the growth of Moore's Law
is a use of ICs for computing. When we
think of computers, the first component
that often comes to mind is the
microprocessor. A specialized integrated
circuit that is made for
computing. Microprocessors used to be just
one IC, but as computers evolved and
more complexity in design was needed,
the central processing unit emerged. A
CPU simply put is the part of the computer
that executes instructions. It can be
implemented using a single IC, multiple
ICs, individually wired transistors or a
room full of vacuum tubes and relays. A
microprocessor is just a single chip
implementation of the CPU, which is why
the terms are often used synonymously.
Other examples of where integrated
circuits in modern computers are used
is the RAM, DRAM, hard drives, solid-state
drives, GPUs, the motherboard which is
essentially many ICs with many functions
and more - essentially there are tens of
hundreds in typical computers, each with
the specific tasks. As the number of
transistors on integrated circuits has
increased, has led to the ability for the
production of components with more storage,
speed, memory, etc than ever before at
increasingly affordable prices. In 1971,
the first commercial microprocessor, the
Intel 4004 had a transistor count of
2,300, 8 years later in 1979 the
Intel 8088 had 29000, 10
years later the Intel 800486 and nearly
1.2 million. Then in 1999 the Pentium 3
had 9.5 million and following that in
2000 the Pentium 4 had 42 million. Since
the 2000s, the transistors on chips have
been increasing at an increasingly fast
rate. While this applies to
microprocessors, similar trends have been
followed in all integrated circuit
applications. For example, as seen in the
price of memory and storage over the
years per gigabyte as the number of
transistors has increased:
[Music]
The majority of people nowadays have a
computer, whether it be a desktop, laptop
or more commonly a smartphone. While the
latest commercial desktop and laptop
processors are using 14 nanometer
transistor sizes, as of this year, the
mobile industry has pushed forward with
10 nanometers. The Samsung S8 with its
Exynos 8895, Qualcomms Snapdragon 835
and Apple's iPhone X with its A11
Bionic chip, all feature a 10
nanometer transistor process. To put that
number in perspective, 10 nanometers is
one billionth of a meter: Point Zero Zero
Zero Zero Zero Zero Zero Zero One meters (.000000001m),
20 Silicon atoms wide, you can fit about
10,000 along the width of an average
human hair! When holding your new phone,
you're essentially holding 3 to 4
billion transistors! As seen here,
transistor sizes have been decreasing
exceedingly fast since 1971, but since
the 14 to 16 nanometer range, things have
slowed down quite a bit. One of the
primary reasons this was due to was
quantum effects. One of these effects is
quantum tunneling, this caused because
the distance between the source and
drain of the transistor is so small that
electrons jump across the barrier. So
instead of staying in their intended
logic gate, the electrons end up
continuously flowing from one gate to
the next, essentially making it
impossible for the transistor to have an
off state. Here is a conventional planar
CMOS transistor. On top of a silicon
substrate are two electrical terminals,
the source and the drain, separated by an
electrically controlled gate. When
voltage is applied to the gate a
conductive channel is formed and
electrons flow from the source to the
drain.
When voltage is removed the current
should completely cease, however, in modern
transistors substantial leakage flows
even when the gate is turned off.
Unfortunately, this leakage current
increases with every generation of
transistors and represents a growing
proportion of power consumption. To solve
this, a radical redesign of transistor
has taken the industry by storm, the
FinFET. The FIN-shaped Field Effect
Transistor, essentially takes a typical
2D planar transistor and reorients the
gate vertically to make it 3D. This allows
more gate control since now the gate of
the transistor covers the top and sides,
which therefore reduces the leakage induced
by quantum tunneling. Each FinFET has
three fins, with the fins being the
source and drain of the transistor going
through the gate. The FinFET also allows
for less heat generation and power
consumption, since one gate can
essentially control three nodes, which
correlates the longer battery life spans.
FinFETs allowed the scaling of
transistors from 16 nanometers to 10
nanometers, as exemplified by the mobile
processors mentioned earlier and now
other major semiconductor manufacturers,
such as Intel are releasing their 10
nanometer desktop and laptop lines in
2018: with Cannon and Ice Lake. As a side
note, Intel has been using FinFETs since
their 22 nanometer Ivy Bridge
architecture, referring to them as
Tri-gate Transistors. FinFETs should
allow scaling down to 7 nanometers with
minimal leakage, with IBM successfully
demonstrating a 7 nanometer node in 2015
and release expected by the 2019 to 2020
range. Unfortunately when scaling lower
than 7 nanometers, quantum tunneling once
again rears its head. The further
miniaturization of transistors will open
up the Internet of Things for everybody,
with the ability to embed sensors into
nearly anything. What's more exciting to
me personally is the applications of
this miniaturization on microcontrollers
like the Raspberry Pi, which is now more
powerful than some early to mid-2000
mid-2000 level computers. All the
technological leaps and bounds due to
the miniaturization of the transistor
have been amazing, but harbor one
question: When will the shrinking a
transistor stop, and Moore's Law end?
At its current definition, the
acceleration of Moore's Law cannot continue
forever.
Currently, Moore's Law is a physical law,
it is linked to the size of a silicon
atom, therefore we will hit a minimum
value for the size of a transistor. As
explained previously, FinFETs have
allowed scaling of transistors down to
7 nanometers with 5 nanometers
still being a theoretical possibility,
but that may not work due to electron
leakage induced by quantum tunneling.
Recently, as of June 2017, IBM announced
they had scaled down the transistor to 5
nanometers by reorienting the transistor
once again, and were able to fit 30
billion transistors on a chip the size
of a fingernail! From the 2D planar to 3D
FinFET and now to the GAAFET. The Gate-
All-Around Field Effect Transistor, which
is sort of a 2D-3D mix, and relies
heavily on FinFET design methodologies.
The GAAFET essentially adds another
transistor compared to FinFETs. Instead
of the fin of the source and drain being
aligned vertically, GAAFETs align them
horizontally using silicon nanosheets,
as seen in this photo. Due to these added
transistors, devices will become more
power and heat efficient once again, up
to 40% faster and 75% more efficient,
compared to 10 nanometer processors that
are just coming to market today. Using silicon
nanosheets that will enable 5 nanometer
technology. To do this, we developed an
entirely new architecture. Today's chips
use what is known as a FinFet
architecture and we even use it in our
state of the art 7 nanometer chips. But to go
beyond 7 nanometers and build new 5
nanometer technology, we use stacks of silicon
nanosheets. Here we can see the
difference between today's FinFET
architecture and the stacked nanosheets.
Instead of three fins side-by-side in
which the current flows along the side
of the fin, the silicon nanosheets are
layered on top of one another and the
current flows along the direction of the
sheet. It's clear today 5 nanometer chips are
possible, it's going to happen! The GAAFet
is expected to start rolling out to
market around 2021 to 2023, and this
technology is also theorized to allow
scaling down to 3 nanometers, which is
now in its research phase and may come
to market around the 2024 to 2026 range.
At 1 nanometer we reach the smallest a
transistor can go if we rely on
silicon, at 1 nanometer the source
and drain are just 2 silicon atoms across! It
is unknown if we can reach this
milestone at a commercial level, but some
tests do show promise through the use of
carbon nanotubes and other design
methodologies. Moore's Law based on the
miniaturization the silicon transistor
will die around the mid to late-2020s.....
Now all those people, articles, videos
(even this video) use Moore's Law being dead
as a provocative title. Beyond the
miniaturization of the transistor, there
are various other aspects of computing
to perfect before Moore's Law even comes
close to ending. In fact, it may never end
until we reach Planck level technology
at 10^-35 meters in size.
So, what we will see in the next few years
is an uncoupling of Moore's Law from
transistor density and more towards raw
computing performance, through multiple
design methodologies. Looking at the
progression of Moore's Law in terms of
computing performance, over the past 120
years, from Babbage's analytical engine,
we can see that the last seven data
points are given by GPU performance not
CPU. With some of them NVIDIAs latest
cards having over 8 billion transistors,
with the Titan X, their latest card,
having 12 billion and still using 16
nanometer FinFET architecture! In the
next video in this computing series,
we'll expand further on GPUs as
computing alternatives, as well as other
ways to maximize classical computing
architecture from new materials, FPGAs,
additional cores and more! In videos
afterwards, we'll discuss various new
branches of computing that are currently
being developed such as: parallel
computing, bio and quantum computers,
optical computing, and neuromorphic
computing!
At this point the video has come to a
conclusion. I'd like to thank you for

Pres. Moon attends 'S. Korea-Indonesia business forum,' stresses need for econmic and... - Duration: 2:28.We begin in Jakarta, where President Moon Jae-in met with business big wigs of both
nations.
The massive forum was held just before his summit with his Indonesian counterpart.
Hwang Hojun has more from the "South Korea-Indonesia Business Roundtable and Summit."
A day after his arrival in Jakarta,... the first destination of his eight-day Southeast
Asia tour,...
President Moon attended the biggest business forum between Korea and Indonesia... since
the two countries established bilateral ties.
About 400 Korean and Indonesian business leaders were in attendance,... including some prominent
figures including Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman and CEO Yoon Boo-keun,...
Hyundai Motor President Jeong Jin-haeng,... the presidents of Korea and Indonesia's chambers
of commerce,... and Indonesia's industry minister.
During the forum, President Moon stressed the need to upgrade Korea's long-standing
partnership with Indonesia.
(KOREAN) ed: devin "I propose that our two countries take on
greater challenges and dream bigger dreams together.
I propose that we build a partnership that goes beyond our bilateral trade relations
and blaze trails together in the ASEAN and global markets."
( , . .)
And to reach that goal,...
President Moon pointed out some key cooperation tasks, including a gradual reorganization
of joint economic consultative bodies,... diversifing the areas of economic cooperation,...
expanding support for collaboration between Korean and Indonesian SMEs,... and last but
not least, expanding the trade volume between Seoul and Jakarta.
He even pledged to support next year's Asian Games hosted in Jakarta... with 5G wireless
communication technology.
The President also said he's seeking to transform Korea's relationship with the ASEAN nations...
and bring it up to equal standing... as that of Seoul's ties with other major powers.
Which is why, President Moon introduced his administration's so-called "New Southern Policy,"...
which seeks to improve diplomatic and economic ties between Seoul and its Southeast Asian
neighbors.
According to a Blue House official,... the newly coined policy would be the counterpart
of the "New Northern Policy" that seeks to reinforce economic cooperation with Russia
and other nations in Eurasia,... which President Moon mentioned when he visited Vladivostok
in September.
The official said that the two frontiers.... of expanding economic and diplomatic ties
with countries and intergovernmental organizations... will become a significant path to establish
peace and prosperity in the region.

Đài Loan Diễu Binh "Hoành Tráng" Hơn Cả Trung Quốc - Tổng hợp tin nóng | Trung Quốc Không Kiểm Duyệt - Duration: 8:39.On this episode of China Uncensored,
China tells the US,
hey you kids get off my territorial waters!
Nothing like a little public humiliation
to encourage people to pay their debts.
And finally Hong Kong just went Hong Wrong...again
This is China Uncensored.
Hi, welcome to China Uncensored,
I'm your host Chris Chappell.
In our top story,
yes China and the US are both concerned about North Korea.
But they're still also maybe slightly worried
about each other.
Kind of like when the X-Men
have to team up with Magneto
to save mutantkind.
That ends perfectly well, right?
On Tuesday,
a US warship sailed through the South China Sea,
close to a string of reefs and shoals
called the Paracel Islands.
Now China says those reefs are Chinese territory.
Vietnam says they're Vietnamese territory.
The US says they're in international waters—
and if you have a problem with that,
come argue with our warship.
The Chinese Communist Party was not pleased.
And this is a particularly sensitive time.
Next week is the 19th Party Congress,
a once every five year meeting of top Communist Party leaders.
It's a huge propaganda event,
and the Party likes to look strong.
Rise and shine, Xi Jinping!
I would not want to be the cameraman who filmed that
and released it to the world.
But you know what else makes the CCP look even weaker
than the core leader asleep on the job?
A US warship challenging their territorial claims.
Like it does on a regular basis.
The Chinese regime may not be happy about it.
But they'd better play nice,
because Donald Trump is coming to town next month.
Trump is planning to make his first presidential visit there in November.
I'm sure by then the whole sailing a warship
through Chinese-slash-international waters thing
will have blown over.
That US warship isn't coming back…
until probably a month or two after Trump's visit.
And on to lighter issues:
North Korea's nuclear weapons.
Trump has been trying to pressure the Chinese regime
to help stop North Korea.
Meanwhile, Chinese state-run media is asking
the US and North Korea to just "cool it, ok?"
But the reason they're asking everyone to calm down
could be more about the Chinese regime's embarrassment.
Because it turns out,
they don't have as much power over North Korea
as they'd like the world to think they do.
But they also don't want the US to invade of North Korea.
Then China would have the US military
right up against the Chinese border.
Plus in the South China Sea.
That's why the Chinese military has been getting...
a facelift, ahead of the Party Congress.
I hope it's better than Joan Rivers' facelift.
Seriously, though -
Chinese leader Xi Jinping has spent the past several years
purging political rivals in the military.
In fact,
there's been a huge turnover of top military officials.
Xi's also attempting to transform the PLA
into a streamlined modern military.
This includes becoming a global arms dealer.
We'll have more on that later.
But at least when it comes to military drones,
President Trump is looking to counter China.
China wants to dominate the 10-billion-dollar global drone market,
but Trump wants to put America first…
in the exporting of killer drones.
"Washington will also seek to renegotiate
a 1987 missile-control pact
with the aim of loosening international restrictions
on U.S. exports of unmanned aircraft."
Whether China is going to be successful
at truly transforming their military
is hard to tell.
But one thing is clear:
It's Taiwan's military that the rest of the world
needs to look out for.
The Chinese Communist Party is no stranger
to using parades to showcase its military.
But nothing can compare to the parade
Taiwan just held for its National Day.
I think we all might need a second
to absorb that more fully.
Yes, if ever you wanted more proof
that Taiwan and China are very different countries,
just think about whether their soldiers
look like they want to kill you
or choreograph dances with you.
Speaking of things under threat in China:
cash.
Gone are the days of paying with paper money,
like some old fogey.
Or credit cards,
like some loser from the 2000s.
In China,
it's all the rage now to pay with your mobile phone.
"Mobile payment volume in the country
more than doubled to $5 trillion in 2016."
Yes, apparently China found a use for QR codes.
Why has paying with your phone
become so popular in China?
It could be convenience.
It could also be
that it gives Chinese companies like Tencent,
"access to hordes of personal data.
That data can then be shared with the Chinese government."
Or maybe it's a little of both.
Who says you can't have oppression and convenience?
But when talking about convenient payments,
you have to talk about the most convenient payment method of all—
not paying.
China is plagued by big companies
with connections to local governments
running up huge debts and then never paying them back.
Well, that's about to change.
No no, just kidding.
But what is changing is how the Chinese regime
will go after small time debtors.
Down with the underdog!
Punish the poor!
Prepare to be publically shamed!
The CCP has told local authorities
"to establish online platforms to expose debtors
who fail to honor their credit obligations."
For quite some time now,
there's been a trend in China of using public humiliation
to go after individuals who can't pay their debts.
Billboards that name names.
Local officials who will bombard debtors
with phone messages telling them to pay up.
Blacklisting them from getting on planes
and high speed trains.
Public humiliation, really,
is a proud tradition of the Chinese Communist Party,
dating back to the dunce caps of the Cultural Revolution.
But the days of being humiliated
in front of a crowd are gone.
Now, you can be humiliated
in front of the entire country!
Because authorities said the online shaming platforms
should be "maintained by local news organizations."
And who needs rule of law when you've got trial by media.
And in other news,
if you've been watching China Uncensored for a while,
you'll know we've made two trips to Hong Kong.
Once in 2014 to cover the Umbrella Movement.
And just last year
to interview activists like Joshua Wong.
The two of us are ready for Broadway!
If they hadn't put Joshua in jail.
Times are changing in Hong Kong.
The Chinese regime recently rejected
the joint declaration that is the basis for Hong Kong freedoms
denied in the Mainland.
And of course expelling democratically elected lawmakers
because the Communist Party doesn't like them.
Well, most recently,
British activist and friend of the show Benedict Rogers
was denied entry into Hong Kong.
Which like many heavy-handed things done by the CCP,
will totally not backfire on them.
Like by causing huge amounts of negative publicity.
Or inspiring Rogers to set up a new NGO
that will monitor Hong Kong's human rights situation.
Is it a coincidence that Rogers,
"who is vocal in criticizing China
and advocating for democracy in Hong Kong",
…was stopped at the Hong Kong airport
just a week before the CCP's 19th Party Congress?
Not sure,
but I have a feeling I won't be able to do any
on the ground reporting about it in Hong Kong.
Shelley, would you like to go?
No?
Sure you would.
And coming up after the break,
just when you thought lasting peace
between India and China had been achieved,
India's defense minister does the unthinkable.
What are you doing still here?
The show's over!
I know, you're not ready to say goodbye.
Okay, go over to china Uncensored.tv.
There you'll see more great episodes of China Uncensored,
including full half hour episodes you won't see anywhere else.
I'm already there waiting for you.
