Promotions and proud owner of foodchallenges.com! Very very excited and

very relieved because I've only got two challenges left on this tour! We got one

more tomorrow then we get to go home but I'm going for my fourth win in Northern

California and overall win number 540 I am south of San Francisco I'm in San

Jose today home of Matt Stonie and Joey Chestnut I am in the Willow's Bend

Shopping Center I'm at Amato's cheesesteaks, they've got two locations

but I'm at the one in Willow Glen I'm taking on their 24-inch Cheesesteak

Challenge! I've got one hour to finish two feet of delicious "The Works"

cheesesteaks! It's got white American cheese on it, all kinds of cheese steak

meat, beef and then we've got the veggies which are mushrooms onions and green

peppers, but like I said I've got one hour to finish if I fail it's gonna be

$40 but if I win I'll get the whole meal free, I will get a sweet t-shirt and I'll

be one of the elite people up on the wall of fame!

Let's get this challenge started!

All right many of my friends are taking and beaten the challenge, we've got

Stephanie Wu we've got Naader or Freakeating

and then like I said San Jose is the home of Matt Stonie and Joey Chestnut,

they've beaten this challenge and then Molly Schuyler has the record of 2

minutes and 41 seconds we're obviously not going to beat that so we're going to

quickly enjoy it and also join Magic Mitch up on the Wall of Fame just under

13 minutes we're gonna try to beat that but let's get this challenge started!

That Time I Honored Michael Jackson | Story Time with Jamie Foxx - Duration: 2:47.

It was a moment I'll never forget.

When I was hosting the BET Awards.

I remember everybody coming in and it was it was Teddy Riley

and with people coming in and just having a great time.

And then unfortunately Michael Jackson transitioned.

And it was a moment where everyone was so let down

and so hurt. Just seeing Teddy Riley

who had just come from a rehearsal with Michael Jackson.

And to hear it, it was like surreal

like no way this happened.

Here's the thing you got to understand

BET didn't know this, but history was on our side.

Everybody's heads were down I said guys listen I'm gonna take it

I'm going to take it upon myself to take whatever bad and good

and ugly comes out of this. I'm going to come out.

We're going to toast Michael Jackson

but we're going to do it in a fun way.

We're going to do it in a way that's happy. And in my mind

I was thinking 10, 15, 20 years from now

when we look back at that episode

it will be an episode of true somber but at the same time fun.

it went good in the house it was great energy.

Some people didn't understand why we were so joyous

at that time we wanted to make it a celebration.

The greatest moment though was when Janet Jackson came out

and the moment was absolutely amazing.

BET ended up being the only show to actually give Michael Jackson

a legitimate sendoff.

Now granted we would have loved to have more time to make it pop

but it was it was a genuine.

moment. And it was a moment like I said

I'll never forget. The following year

BET even got even more correct.

We were able to let the young Chris Brown

do a fantastic tribute to Michael.

And like I said it was amazing to watch a person who had been

so impacted by my Michael

and just really sort of cleaned up my mess.

the moment of celebrating

Bolton says Trump, Putin to meet - Duration: 2:03.

President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin have both said they want to

improve relations between the two countries.

Now they'll have a chance to sit down and talk it out together.

National Security Adviser John Bolton traveled to Russia this week to nail down the details

of a Trump-Putin summit.

The meeting between the two is expected to take place during Trump's trip to Europe in

mid-July.

The two leaders have met on the sidelines of major world summits, but haven't had a

direct one-on-one sit-down like this before.

"It's important for the leaders of these two countries to meet.

There are a wide range of issues.

Despite the differences between us, both President Trump and President Putin thing they may be

able to find constructive solutions.

I'd like to hear someone say that's a bad idea."

There's still plenty of unresolved issues between the U.S. and Russia, from the fighting

in Ukraine to alleged tampering with the 2016 U.S. election to a chemical weapons attack

in the U.K.

Those incidents have prompted the two countries to trade sanctions and diplomatic expulsions.

Neither country has shown signs of budging on these contentious issues.

But there are other areas where the two leaders could make progress — like maintaining the

decades-old arms control agreements restricting missile deployments.

Trump's under some pressure to stand up to Russia from U.S. allies in the region.

He's also meeting with NATO nations around the same time, and the defense bloc is looking

for all its members to present a united front on dealing with Russian aggression.

And the ongoing investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 campaign is likely

to cast a pall over the meeting.

Putin's unlikely to give any ground either: he's built up a reputation domestically as

a strong leader standing up to Western aggression, and won't want to undermine that image without

getting something in return.

Plus Putin can't afford to spend too much time on the summit; his country's in the middle

of hosting the World Cup, which has its final game scheduled for July 15.

I was trying to find sort of the intersection of the circus and the ice

and seeing how that can be

brought to a new level.

There's no limits, so today we're working with juggling

and I was, I got fixated with,

you know, how I can move the juggling balls on the ice with my feet and

what happens when you're spinning… and trying to take

everything that I take for granted

and putting it overtop of what circus is so that

we don't just have somebody standing with skates on juggling.

It's actually what the skating gives the juggling,

what does the juggling give to skating

and where's the happy marriage.

When we're going back into actual creation,

we have this resource, we have the videos, we have the ideas

and we can take the one little element of something, you know,

we tried in the workshop and say

"Okay, let's expand on that, let's build on that,

let's really take the time to develop it and choreograph it."

Or it's maybe just something that they might have done for hours

and we just take one second of, one image of it

so it just gives us our ingredients to play with later.

It can't be something that looked cool once.

So there has to be a sense of reality.

Every once in a while something happens and you go

"That's got to be in the show, that's not gonna be in the show."

And then not and not and that and not and then that's got to be in the show.

It's a lot of fun.

Today we're trying actually some interesting stuff.

It's to include ramps to bring acrobatics on ice.

So we designed a new ramp with a new synthetic ice, fake ice as we call it.

And the idea is to see how it works,

what's the angle, what's the length,

what can we do, what's the stretcher to have a crazy skip-off on ice.

We're in the process of experimenting, doing research and development.

So this morning, we tried skateboards,

but with blades, and we thought "Hmm... not so great."

But we saw how we could improve them and we'll try again.

The idea is to go beyond what we've seen before.

We're going to try to mix acrobatics,

dance and skating.

We're exploring to see how far we can go.

What we're doing here today is definitely nothing that

I think anyone has ever done before.

It's a big mix of all kinds of disciplines coming together on the ice,

and the ice creates a whole other element

to explore as much as for the acrobats but also for us as skaters.

I've never been in a situation like this where

the sport that I grew up in

and do for a living and love so much

has… I'm seeing it from a different way.

It's really been fun.

It's kind of like somebody came into my own house and said

"Did you know you have a whole second wing to your house?"

and I went "Oh, I didn't know that door opened."

So I'm having a good time exploring

something that I thought I knew everything about.

Creativity is really indistinguishable from play.

You get them in that mindset where it's like a big playground.

I think that's when you get the best results

and that's when you get the most creative results.

Right now, it's almost like you have a caged animal

that you all of a sudden put into the wilderness.

It's like, "What do we do with all this freedom?"

What we're trying to do, to some extent, is to create a new medium,

to see how we can bring the circus and skating worlds together.

Right now, we're trying things

with pendular Chinese poles

and seeing if we can use them with ice skaters.

So the other day I was trying the mât chinois

and the pole came down and I was sliding with my skates on

and the pole was pushing on my knee before I knew it,

and squishing it, and actually bent it so far back

that I've been icing it for two days.

So I have a lot of respect

for whatever you call that.

And I know the skaters have to work around it but

okay—so now I know, don't get trapped underneath it.

I definitely like myself a good challenge,

so I expected it to be a challenge

physically for sure but also creatively—to think in different ways,

to have those new elements on the ice.

Sometimes, we discover things

about the movement

or the length of the pendular poles.

So, for example, you might have someone swinging on them 50 to 60 feet.

Wow, that's something we haven't seen or done before—we still get surprised.

Hello and welcome back to the Most Amazing Channel on the Internet.

I am your host, Rebecca Felgate and today we are talking about the Top 10 Scariest Tsunamis

Caught on Camera.

Tsunamis are large displacements of water and are generally triggered by underwater

earthquakes, landslides or volcanic eruptions.

Over the years, they have contributed to some of the biggest natural disasters in history,

killing millions.

On this list are still and moving images taken of some of the most devastating tsunamis of

all time.

Stay tuned for some true chaos.

10 - Tidal Wave Destroys a Boat Uploaded to Youtube by Multi Movie Player,

this insane Tsunami video has had over 4.7 million views.

Watch as the GIANT WAVE absolutely decimates the boat.

I don't know who was recording this and from what distance, but this is far out.

We assume everyone on board lost their lives.

9 - Boat on House How does a boat end up on top of a house?

A tsunami, that is how.

This picture is of the aftermath of the terrifying Japanese Tsunami in Fukushima in 2011.

The Tsunami came from an earthquake off the Pacific coast of Tohoku, which registered

as a 9 on the Richter scale.

It was the most powerful earthquake ever recorded in Japan and the tidal wave that came reached

heights of 122ft.

The water traveled 6 miles inland and caused 15 thousand 895 deaths.

This image of a huge ferry boat on the roof of a someone's home goes to show the power

if the waves and has become an iconic snap of the devastation.

Check out this scary footage of a Tsunami wave in China at number 8.

Captured on a camera phone, we see the moment a giant wave sweeps over a barrier in China.

Shot in 2011, the wave is absolutely huge and knocks people in the street over, and

a motorcyclist off their bike.

I have no idea why people are standing there and staring!

Like… there is a tidal wave coming at you!

What is happening!

Why aren't you running to high ground!

Put your camera away!

This next image is of a man walking his bike through his former neighborhood.

It is so moving at number 7 This man got very lucky…while caught up

on the Tsunami, he was on higher ground and not swept away with the waves.

He can be seen in this picture going to survey the wreckage of his old home and neighborhood

which has been totally raised to the ground.

Not only is the physical Tsunami devastation caught on camera here, so is the emotional

ruin caused.

Heartbreaking.

6 - Fukushima Tsunami This photo captures the moment that waves

breached the flood wall on a street in Japan.

We see the wave coming in over the street and it is so scary…

In one still image, there is so much damage to be seen.

It is presumed the photographer survived, but we don't know for a fact.

If you thought that picture captured was scary, check out a video taken of the same Tsunami

at number 5 Going one step further and recording the deadly

waves, this footage is heartbreaking and the videographer can be heard screaming.

At first, we see the tide sweeping boats away in the current, watched by onlookers and the

camera holder from a higher floor in a building, then nobody can believe it as the water crashes

over the banks and starts destroying everything on the ground.

It is presumed that everybody not on a rooftop or higher building level, everyone in the

street or in a car, was washed away to their deaths.

Buildings can be seen being swept away and cars float in the water like bobbing ducks.

4 - Boxing Day Tsunami in Thailand On Boxing Day of 2004, swathes of the Thai

coastline – although it wasn't just Thailand affected.

In fact, we will be seeing a number of pieces of footage from the Boxing Day Tsunami on

this list – it was the deadliest Tsunami in history, killing 230 thousand people across

12 countries.

A tourist shot this footage in Patong, filming the huge wave coming in from the beach.

We hear them freak out when they realize just how big the wave is.

They run inside from their balcony to try and get away.

3 - Man Swept Under in Thailand This is some heartbreaking footage right here.

In this footage, we see people huddled on a rooftop.

The camera catches a man, someone who looks to be a white tourist, clutching on to debris

and trying to stay afloat.

Sadly, he is lost to the water.

We have another person swept under at number 2 -

This is some of the most dramatic Tsunami footage I have ever seen.

This horrifying footage is such a symbol of man vs nature.

It is terrifying.

So here we hear two locals watching the waves roll towards the beach during the Boxing Day

2004 Tsunami.

The guys recording point out a tourist still on the beach who doesn't realize what is

about to hit him.

Just as he realizes how high the waves are, he stands up stunned….

But it is too late.

He has swept away.

There is zero chance he survived.

1 - CCTV from around the Iwate Prefecture This is the final piece of footage from the

Japanese Tsunami of 2011 is absolutely insane and heartbreaking.

One moment you are looking at a road, the next you are looking at a road turned into

a river.

Literal houses are floating down the street.

Later we see a car driving up a road.

The driver is met with water on the road and turns around.

Quickly, a whole ocean of water and debris comes at the car, which goes out of shot,

but presumably, it couldn't outdrive the gushing water.

So there you go.

That was the Top 10 Scariest Tsunamis caught on camera.

My thoughts are wholehearted with the people that lost their homes, were injured or killed

in these devastating natural disasters.

this topic is what happened after the blind date with Claudia hello I forgot I

was talking about I got a lot I got a lot of new followers from this video

which I'm super stoked about because now you know who I am and now I know who you

are and I'm really happy you're here I just want to say that like I really do

love you like I'm probably a little too much the way that we were brought

together you and I so I'm just gonna talk about the experience and I'm gonna

talk about what happened afterwards the only reason I'm making this video is

because it's me due to it too difficult for me to respond to every single person

that's asked what happened afterwards if you haven't seen the video I'll link it

below but basically the idea behind it is that there's 36 questions that's

supposed to scientifically kind of make you not particularly fall in love with

someone but like to you know half's of the fields because they're pretty deep

questions and we went through 36 questions they didn't show all of them

on the video but it was like a legit thing yes we were being filmed but after

a while you just kind of forget that the cameras were there I was like outside

the door and they said wait 30 will tell you wait 30 seconds to come in whenever

we say it's time and I was actually really nervous because number one I've

never been on a blind date before this is legit the first ever have a blind

date and number two it was being filmed I don't want to like offend anybody or

anything like that so I'm just gonna like keep it pretty brief so we like

withdrawal 36 questions but took like an hour and a half by the end I had to pee

so bad I couldn't concentrate anymore and I'm just like yeah legit I depite

we're sitting there for so long number number one because like that's a long

time to sit for me and I was just getting really restless and I started

like just like myself and I just really had

to be I could tell right off the bat that him and I were not compatible at

all nothing wrong with him at all I'm just I was not the right person for him

and he was definitely not the right person for me and we both I guess we

both knew that he was just not on my I don't feel like he was on my level of

the level that I'm on I don't know what level that is nobody does I'm not sure

but he wasn't there it just wasn't that stimulating for me so we weren't

compatible in that way it wasn't my cup of tea afterwards they

asked us to sit down and take a picture kind of like what do you think about a

second date with this person we had to like cover our faces and make a face

showing what we thought a second date like would be like with this person I'd

always just tried to be nice okay I was trying to be nice and be like Oh me over

there I'll show you the picture his picture was fuck like that's fine let's

fight Claudio Claudio that's fine whatever that last questions like would

you go to a second date we're just like oh yeah mines were like it's funny I

mean you're not gonna be compatible with everybody

I honestly I'm not compatible with a lot of people so it wasn't any sort of shock

or surprise to me I would be I'd be shocked to death if they pick that they

like pick someone that was compatible with me because I can't even find that

um but we did not fall in love or have any feelings or even talk after that we

didn't even get each other's like was that bad I I think maybe I gave my

Instagram like I could vomit it's good I mean usually if a guy likes you he'll

ask for your phone number and you did not ask for my digits no digits were

exchanged yeah that that's how that went it didn't go anywhere at all not even as

a friend type of thing I think I don't know like what his thoughts were

of why he didn't wasn't into me so you don't win them all I know a lot of

people who've done that the 36 questions probably actually did go on a second

date I think that's really cool thought for a little solo Victoria yeah I still

haven't been dating at all I'm very proud of myself I've just been like

trying to focus on taking more control of like my mind in my life and my

priorities and I'm actually doing really well I'm really happy about it so that

is the story Victoria Claudia still waiting to hear

back from it but I don't know where is that Claudia where are you at I don't

The Real Reason Papa John's Is Struggling To Stay Open - Duration: 4:52.

Papa John's is one of the largest pizza chains in the world, with thousands of franchises

in more than 35 countries but the future of the chain is uncertain.

In 2018, the company started relaying their plans for the future, detailing how they were

going to remedy their plummeting stock prices, stagnant sales, and string of closures.

So what happened?

Here are a few reasons why Papa John's is struggling to stay open.

The price of a slice

In early 2018, stock analysts went straight to the source to find out just what was going

on with Papa John's.

CEO Steve Ritchie explained one of the company's biggest problems was a pretty simple one people

didn't wanna pay what it was charging for pizza.

Ritchie claimed,

"Even the people who prefer our brand our loyalists use our competitors when times are

tight.

So, we need to fix that."

Ritchie said public perception is that Papa John's is overpriced.

It's hard to argue with that assessment, especially considering some of the far cheaper deals

offered up by its competitors.

"Get a large hot and ready classic for just 5 bucks, every single day.

Little Caesars ... Pizza Pizza"

Schnatter's heated statements

According to Brand Index, Papa John's took a major hit in 2012 when founder, John Schnatter,

said his business would suffer immeasurably if Obamacare became law, telling Politico,

"We're not supportive of Obamacare, like most businesses in our industry."

Schnatter said he would be forced to provide his employees with healthcare and according

to the The Huffington Post claimed the company would have no choice but to raise prices,

possibly cut jobs, and hold off on hiring.

According to USA Today, he was vilified for preaching from his $7 million mansion about

a few extra pennies per person.

But his finger pointing later reached beyond the White House.

In November 2016, Schnatter blamed NFL players' protesting police brutality during the national

anthem and falling game day ratings for his own slipping business.

According to The Washington Post, Schnatter said,

"This year the ratings are going backwards because of this controversy.

And so the controversy is polarizing the customer, polarizing the country."

The controversy had Schnatter stepping down as CEO not too long after, and Papa John's

losing a lot of customers as well as its partnership with the NFL, by 2018.

CNBC reported company stock dropped 13 percent in the wake of his comments.

Slow to react

It didn't help matters when Papa John's was declared the "official pizza of the alt-right"

by white supremacist website The Daily Stormer one day after Schnatter's comments went public.

Papa John's condemned, quote, "racism in all forms" in an effort to do some damage control,

but it was too little, too late.

Chief Marketing Officer Brandon Rhoten said,

"I would argue our biggest Achilles' heel as a brand is our inability to react quickly

to real-time happenings in the world."

Kinda gluten-free

When Papa John's announced they were introducing a gluten-free pizza in 2017, fans got pretty

excited.

But there was a catch: it wasn't safe for customers with celiac disease or severe gluten

intolerance which defeated the entire point.

According to CNBC, Papa John's announced that their new quinoa-based pizza crust was indeed

made in a separate facility from their regular products.

But with no precautions in place in their stores, cross-contamination was inevitable.

One nutritional expert said:

"It sounds like Papa John's is trying to get in on the gluten-free craze in an inauthentic

way."

Customer relations

Papa John's was built on "Better Ingredients" for "Better Pizza."

But when people started asking what all those ingredients were, they ran into a suspicious

roadblock.

Restaurants aren't legally obligated to list ingredients, but you'd think Papa John's would

be proud of its goods, right?

In 2013, US News & World Report dug into what kind of ingredients Papa John's was talking

about but came up empty-handed, concluding,

"By not disclosing what's in its food, Papa John's is revealing that it doesn't think

too much of its customers."

"Part of living up to our gold standard, is ensuring that our ingredients go from the

farm, to the box, to deliver on our better ingredients, better pizza promise"

In 2018, the company finally released a video version of their ingredients list, but remained

pretty vague on their sourcing.

"Our pepperoni, sausage, italian sausage, and beef toppings are all made from real beef

and pork, and blended with spices"

CEO Steve Ritchie says Papa John's will be pouring more money into developing new technologies

to help streamline the customer experience and offer a better value in the future.

Need Help to Forgive Yourself? Here are Four Keys - Duration: 5:32.

You wonder if you've forgiven yourself for your messed up past.

Or you question, if you will even be able to do that.

I want to offer four steps to help you understand why you need to get past this and how to get

there.

I asked the question of many counselees, did you forgive yourself?

The most common responses are, I'm not sure I can or I don't know.

Answering this question is vital to once deliverance in normal progression on the path to maturity

in discipleship and Christ.

I'm going to share four specific keys to help you overcome this hurdle.

If it's an issue for you or something that continues to haunt you and look at the doctrine

of forgiveness represents a Christianity 100, one principle for new and seasoned believers

alike.

Why do so many struggle to grasp the biblical reality of it?

As Christian counselors and deliverance ministers, we had above and beyond focused on helping

clients identify whom they need to forgive, why it's important, and how do they do that?

How does one implement forgiveness in Washington for the rest of their days?

Look at.

We've got a lot of articles on the website, a lot of videos on the importance of forgiveness

and how unforgiveness provides the demonic realm a legal

open door to torment us.

I suggest you take a look at the parable of the Unmerciful Servant in Matthew 18: verses

22 to 35.

Most clients, once they understand the importance and the fundamental tenant behind forgiveness,

they're willing to take that step to deal with abuse and attacks from others.

However many Bach when it comes to extending that same grace to themselves for past transgressions,

whether real or imagined here for building principals that I encourage each client to

at least embrace intellectually.

Number one, we are commanded to forgive.

It's a nonnegotiable if we want God's best for us and no answer, here is a real deal

killer.

Most people are willing to forgive others after a time.

Butter, unsure exactly how to do that.

Solid Biblical counsel backed up by phrases in scripture can help willing hearts overcome

most of the hurdles here.

Second of all, forgiveness is a choice not based upon emotions.

I find that many still cannot escape the false premise that true forgiveness is really based

on how they feel about the one that they forgive.

This theology is based upon quicksand, not the word and leads to long seasons of dope,

because there emotions can be tossed to and fro like a way among the sea.

Once you've chosen to forgive someone for past sins against you, it is done forever.

Choosing not to dwell on the past is a crucial aspect of maintaining victory here.

Point you towards Philippians three, verses 13 and 14.

Number three, Christ has forgiven us as we forgive others.

In Matthew six, verses 24 and 25, Jesus instructs that if we forgive men their trespasses, God

will forgive ours, Short, succinct, and clear.

We must accept this directive like all others in the Bible by faith because he chose to

capture it there for us in fourth, and this is very important, believe it, it's an offense

to God and prideful if we do not extend this grace of forgiveness to ourself.

This one can be tricky.

I'll admit it.

It's false pride, I believe, to presume that what God extends to others somehow does not

apply to us.

That is arrogance expressed quite clearly, but when he cannot see it, oftentimes it's

couched in perceptions of unworthiness, but the actual route is that we are feel we are

somehow unique or different from others that this doesn't apply to us.

We're special to God for sure, but must receive his an merited favor or mercy by faith in

his goodness alone.

I don't believe this has to be complicated.

What will we believe, what others say about us?

Our own thoughts about ourselves, which we need to understand that our thought life drives

our emotions, which we indicated we can't trust.

Alternatively, we by faith believe the word of God and what he says about our past and

us helping clients sort through and process wrong.

Understanding of forgiveness is one of our most significant challenges when dealing with

were with their issues.

Getting them to see their past sins through the eyes got they're forgiven, cleansed by

Jesus' blood in and those sins are forgotten presents a more daunting challenge.

Believe God's word and receive what it says about you and your past.

No substitute views or rationalization will be effective in helping you gain victory.

TPS To Permanent Residence Through Marriage: End Of Temporary Protected Status (Part 1) - Duration: 6:58.

Hi Carlos Batara here.

I want to talk to you briefly about the Temporary Protected Status program.

In particular, I want to talk to you on the steps for moving

from Temporary Protected Status, whether you were a recipient in the past

or you're a recipient today,

you're still in status today, to lawful permanent residence.

In recent months, many programs have been cut

and so even if you have current status,

you may be in fear what happens when it ends.

Well, in the past, there was no road to lawful permanent residence

carved out in the law.

That's not necessarily the case anymore, depending on where you live and other factors.

But in general, there are possibilities, and I've broken them into four different roads for you.

And we're going to discuss that in this video

the four different roads to take you from temporary protective status to lawful permanent resident.

So let's get started.

Okay, the first option is your family-based permanent residence options.

In the past, Temporary Protective Status recipients were not allowed to seek adjustment of status

as the husband or wife of a U.S. citizen.

For an obvious reason, they most likely entered without permission.

So they did not, they were not inspected when they entered.

As a result they couldn't qualify to get a green card yet.

Well, a recent ruling in the Ninth Circuit, that's California, that's where I live,

but it's also other states--Arizona, Alaska, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana.

They also are in the Ninth Circuit, and a recent ruling has said that you can,

that if you were granted temporary protected status,

you can in fact seek adjustment of status.

Now, hopefully you meet the other requirements.

That's a whole another evaluation that has to take place.

But you are not automatically prohibited as in the past.

You know, for several years I argued this point.

I argued that, look, someone that came in through TPS,

they were inspected and admitted.

Look they turned in paperwork,

they turned in paperwork about when they entered,

how long they've been here, if they had any convictions,

and everything else that you have to do to be inspected,

and they were inspected and then they were admitted.

They were granted Temporary Status as a Temporary Protected Status recipient.

I fortunately had a lot of good luck with that argument.

But it was not the law.

It was not officially the law,

although I always thought that with a certain case, that a court,

a higher court, not an immigration but a higher federal court,

would come down and see it the same way.

Why? It just makes more sense. It makes more legal sense. It's also fairer.

And as result the Ninth Circuit has said that is the law now in the Ninth Circuit.

Now, in the Sixth Circuit, they also hold the same position.

That includes if you're a GPS recipient in places like Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee.

One Circuit Court sees it entirely opposite and has said that that's not the way to see it.

And that's the Eleventh Circuit which covers Alabama, Florida, Georgia, okay?

But if you're not in the Eleventh Circuit, and you're not in the Sixth or the Ninth Circuits,

you're in one of these states where there isn't a final definitive word.

I know a lot of my legal brethren would say well that means it's not the law,

it's the way it was before.

Well, that's true but we also know now

Don't we?

that we can challenge that law

and that there's a good chance of winning that challenge,

and so I would say that if you're in one of these other states and the program ends for you,

the TPS program ends for you, don't give up.

You should look into this possibility and you might be able to prevail on it.

Eventually, the other circuits are going to have to make a decision

or the Supreme Court is going to have to speak on this issue,

and the odds are, as I said this is the better reasoned approach,

and I do believe that this is the way to go.

Now, on the other hand, you didn't hear me say it

even though this is on YouTube

you didn't hear me say it,

you could move to California and apply for it while you're here.

I didn't say that. No, no, no.

It's true.

If you're in one of these states, there's nothing that prohibits you

from moving to one of these other states to seek it there.

I know the government, if you're watching this tape,

you're not going to like that I said that.

But it is reality. You know, what can you do?

Challenge the law and say, "Oh they moved in at the last minute

because they were forum shopping for TPS"?

I don't think that argument is going to work.

So family-based permanent residence is a good way to go.

But you still got the regular green card issues.

The regular lawful residence issues, you got if you're an overstay,

you overstayed your visa, or if you came in without permission.

This is what is the reality in a lot of TPS cases

where you came in without permission, say 1997,

and your country was designated a few years later

for TPS status.

Well the years before you got TPS status,

you were out of status.

Then the issue becomes whether you've ever left,

you know, whether even if you left, say on parole or something,

did that trigger a bar so that you can't go forward.

Those are legal issues.

Criminal convictions, you know,

you're going to have to look into your criminal convictions.

Same thing, the same thing as would happen

in most lawful permanent resident cases.

You have to look out for the same problems.
