Waching daily Jul 18 2018

(Episode 97)

Ganghui.

Gosh.

Wake up.

Five more minutes.

No. Wake up.

Come on! Stop it. Five minutes, please.

Hurry up! Come out!

Come out.

Move it!

Why does it stink so badly in there?

What did you eat?

Come on now.

Look. If you give me three days,

I can even find ghosts.

My gosh. I'm Ma Dongsuk.

It looked like you were working all night yesterday too.

Don't work yourself too hard.

There are so many clothes I need to make.

Geez.

Drink some water and eat slowly.

Dad, I'll be working late every night for a while.

Working late?

Seyeon.

Home is where you can rest when you're tired

and dad is the person you can lean on.

You know that, right?

I do, of course.

Eat slowly and finish them all.

They don't look like much

but there's abalone and ginseng inside.

Eat up.

Seyeon.

Oh, Jaejun.

When did you get here?

You should've called.

What brings you here anyway?

You're going to the shops starting today.

I wanted to help you since it's your first day.

Sales isn't easy.

I've been studying.

"Master of Sales, Know-how for Striking it Rich."

How's Jaeyeong doing?

She moved out only three days ago

but the family misses her a lot.

She says she'll go this weekend.

She misses Ung, your dad, and everyone too.

You'll come with her, right?

No one in my family

is still upset about the engagement ceremony.

Come comfortably as Jaeyeong's brother.

I will.

Suran.

Rest in peace.

Don't worry about Seyeon.

How could you eat right now?

Why not?

Why hasn't the bank president said anything yet?

I'm sure he's stressing over it.

It's not that easy.

Get an answer from the bank president

by the end of the day!

Darn it.

This right here has nice small details.

How about this one?

What do you think?

I designed and made them all myself.

The designs are nice, and so are the materials.

But it's kind of pricey.

The items we sell are very low-priced.

I'll think it over. Leave me your number.

Okay. Thank you for your time.

Ma'am, I really hope our garments

will be sold at this shop.

It's because your hangers are the nicest I've seen.

The hangers are nice?

You need good hangers

if you want to keep the nice clothes for a long time.

If you're willing to spend the money

on expensive silicone hangers for the garments,

I'm sure you love clothes

and have a great eye for them.

Okay, then. Have a nice day.

Let's go.

Hold on.

How many pieces do you have

of the designs you showed me?

What colors do they come in?

Jaejun, I think you have a knack for sales.

You really surprised me.

It's thanks to the know-how I read in the book.

Detailed, but not excessive compliments

move the heart of the customer.

Jaejun. Pay me a compliment too.

You have the prettiest smile in the whole world.

When you smile because you're happy,

you make me smile too.

You can smile even through sadness and hardship.

That makes you look cool and amazing.

I should buy that book too.

It's super effective.

It's Mr. Ma.

I looked for incidents when Chairman Eun used

a seal with an umbilical cord inside when he was alive

and I couldn't find anything.

Did you check banks, real estate transactions

and stockholders' lists?

None.

I even checked with other countries just in case

but there was nothing.

Then what do you think Myeonghwan meant?

He said the seal would hurt me.

Perhaps he didn't use it himself

but entered into a contract or transaction

that needs the seal. Please look into that.

Okay.

You still haven't decided?

I can't believe that the seal with the umbilical cord

to open the safe deposit box no longer exists.

If I open the safe deposit box for you

and his granddaughter shows up with the real seal

later on...

You are such a doubter.

As you know,

Chairman Eun Gitae had two granddaughters.

Eun Gyeonghye and Hong Seyeon.

Gyeonghye has the real seal

and she crushed it.

That leaves Seyeon,

but she has a fake seal.

Thus, the safe deposit box will not open.

I must be sure.

If I show you that it's true,

open the safe deposit box for me as promised.

Give me what's inside

and close it back up quietly.

No one will ever know that it's empty

other than the two of us.

Nothing will happen.

Once I confirm that Hong Seyeon

does not have the real seal...

I'll do it.

We must prove that Seyeon doesn't have the real seal

for him to open it.

The only way

is to make Seyeon take that fake seal to the bank

if we want to open the safe deposit box.

Jang Myeonghwan.

Why are you here?

- Gyeonghye. / - I'll explain.

Did you threaten my daughter again?

I didn't threaten her.

She asked me to stay with her.

I had no reason to refuse.

Lady Geum. I mean, mother.

Gyeonghye tells me

you lied that those gangsters were hunting me

to lock me up in that room.

How could you do that to someone

who was once your son-in-law?

Since you paid back the loan shark for me,

I'll be generous and understanding

and let it slide.

But watch yourself.

Gyeonghye.

I'll take my things and move into a hotel

so you come to me yourself if you need my help.

How could you release him?

You even lied to me that he left for New Zealand

while I was at the temple! Why?

It was because of Seyeon. She...

How long will you blame Seyeon?

You know too...

That the problem isn't Seyeon, but you are!

You need to stop blaming me.

You only hate me, and I'm the only bad

and pathetic one, right?

How long will you be that way?

I'll take care of Myeonghwan

so stay out of it.

Why did you release Myeonghwan?

Tell me the truth.

We already got his written confession.

With that, I can get a reduced sentence

for shooting him in the head.

I decided no good would come of keeping him

locked up and antagonizing him.

Is that all?

What do you suspect me of doing?

I'm tired. Please leave.

Dad, I'm working late tonight too.

Seyeon.

What?

I know you're not working

at the company anymore.

Dad... How did you find out?

I went to see you at the office last time

and heard from your colleague.

I wanted to wait until you told me yourself

but I'm too worried not to say anything.

Dad.

Don't worry.

I won't lose to Gyeonghye like this.

I'll return to the company

and I will reclaim grandpa's company.

Where are you going

all day and night

in this hot weather?

I'm selling clothes that I make.

I'll prove my skills

and return to the company on my own merit.

So don't worry

and cheer me on. Okay?

See you later.

Okay.

My gosh. My poor baby.

She must be heartbroken about her mom's death.

And she had everything taken from her

but she's worried about her pathetic dad

and can't show any of it.

Did she tell her daughter or not?

Why is Seyeon still doing that?

Even if I break even,

I just need customers who want my clothes.

Let's just go to four more shops.

Ma'am.

Sorry? You want to cancel the order?

But why?

Hello?

What's going on?

I was sure she really liked them.

I'll have to go ask in person.

Here.

Eat up.

Seyeon.

Did Gyeonghye give you the items

your grandfather left you?

Yes.

I got the seal with my dad's umbilical cord inside.

I see.

But, mom...

Myeonghwan came to see me about that seal.

What?

He said

Gyeonghye gave it to me with bad intentions

and said all sorts of nasty things.

I'll make sure he never bugs you again.

I'll break both his legs if necessary

to make sure he...

Saying you'll break his legs...

Isn't like you at all.

I will do it, though.

It's delicious. You eat too.

Seyeon.

Don't worry.

What's this?

(Bareun Bank, Bank President Gu Jiho)

Grandpa left you something else.

Bring the seal to that bank and claim it.

Then, you can collect what he left you.

Why didn't you tell me when you gave me the seal?

You should be grateful that I'm telling you at all.

Gyeonghye.

My mom was very happy

thanks to the seal you gave me.

I can't get myself to thank you for giving it to me

but I really wanted to tell you that.

Is it true that Chairman Eun Gitae has

a notarized will about

a safe deposit box at Bareun Bank?

It is.

Did you find out the terms of the contract?

What Eun Gyeonghye said was true.

It says to open the safe deposit box

to his granddaughter whose DNA matches

that of his son's umbilical cord.

I couldn't find it when I looked

since it was a secret contract for a safe deposit box.

So Gyeonghye told me the truth.

It's a private safe

so its contents weren't made public,

but there are rumors

that it has gold, cash, land,

or some other great fortune.

If you inherit that...

Look. If by chance

you buy a big house and move,

you have to take me with you, okay?

But I won't charge you for this matter. Okay?

Why did Gyeonghye give you the seal voluntarily

and even tell you about the bank?

Her motives are suspicious

but I think we should go to the bank

with the seal.

I agree.

Okay. Thank you.

Seyeon brought the fake seal to the bank

and requested a DNA test.

The result will be out tomorrow.

Once he confirms that even Seyeon isn't authorized

to open the safe deposit box,

the bank president will give it to us.

Then,

take all of its contents

and leave Korea as promised.

Answer me.

Once I get the money, I will.

Trust me.

You have no other choice.

You have no one else

on your side.

Gyeonghye.

I really pity you.

Dad.

Hey. You're home.

You must be tired.

Ung is sleeping with Ganghui.

What's wrong? Did something happen?

Seonhui.

You know, Seyeon...

Never mind.

What about Seyeon?

Dad. Seyeon is being strong and pulling through.

Don't worry too much.

She's just doing that so that we don't worry

but I'm sure she's in pain inside.

How could she be okay

after her mother passed away?

So I want to cheer her up.

I know we can't do anything grand

but I thought we could change up the mood here,

put up new wallpaper, and clean

her workshop or something.

Sure.

I've been wondering what we could do for her.

I'll tell Ganghui and Cheolsu

to take the day off tomorrow, and we'll do it together.

So please, stop drinking

and go to sleep. Okay?

Okay. You should go in and rest.

I'll go in after I see

Seyeon come home.

Speed it up. Come on.

Stop being so lazy, and speed it up.

At this rate, we won't finish before she gets home.

How many times must you repeat yourself?

Your nagging is annoying.

What if Seyeon is so surprised...

That she faints?

Don't be stupid. She's a tough girl.

She wouldn't faint.

Right? I forgot. Let's make it nice and clean

and make her happy.

- Don't just talk, move! Move! / - Okay.

I'm not a drum. Stop hitting me!

- Dad. You're so thorough. / - All done.

Lift it up. And flip.

Line it up.

Push it up.

- Line it up. / - Line it up.

Okay.

Manager Hong! Seon! I'm here!

Is that my boss?

Is anyone home?

Manager Hong!

Ma'am, what brings you by?

Hello. Manager Hong told me

you're fixing up Seyeon's workshop today.

Seyeon is my only blood relative that I have.

I had to

come and do my part.

You're all talk.

You should've come earlier and helped out.

You come when we're done and give lip service.

What about my store?

I had to work all by myself because

Manager Hong took the day off.

And it isn't just lip service.

I brought this.

Just two pizzas?

You're terrible.

Suk. You can still help.

Since you came late, you can collect the garbage.

No. I can't collect garbage dressed like this.

Yes, you totally can.

- Come on. / - Don't!

- No! / - Let's just do it ourselves.

Let's do it ourselves.

(Bareun Bank)

The DNA test result is out.

Can I open the safe deposit box now?

No. The DNA of the umbilical cord

and your DNA are not a match.

What?

That can't be.

(DNA Parentage Test Report)

(Minsu and Seyeon are not biologically related)

This umbilical cord isn't human's.

Naturally, its DNA doesn't match yours.

It isn't human's umbilical cord?

You can see from the test result

but it's from an animal.

I can't open the safe deposit box

for you.

Is this test result correct?

If you don't trust it,

feel free to take it to another lab.

How could a human being

do this to another human being?

Seyeon.

My mom held that seal

calling out to my dad.

Until the moment she passed away,

she cherished it

and called it her husband.

I'm so angry that I'm losing my mind.

I feel like my entire body is about to explode.

How could she do that

to my mom who was dying?

They are disgusting monsters!

Calm down.

I'm worried you might collapse.

The bank called.

The bank president says he'll open the safe deposit box.

Seyeon must know that the seal is a fake.

She thought it was her dad's umbilical cord

but found out it was a dog's.

Seyeon must be flipping out.

What?

You put in an animal's umbilical cord?

I had to make it quickly, so I couldn't get a human's.

What? Is that a problem?

Are you worried about Seyeon being shocked?

Worry about yourself.

If you don't want to lose to Seyeon,

up the security for both the house and the company.

It tastes extra delicious after doing hard labor.

Like you did any labor.

All you did was lie here

and snore as you slept.

We did all the work.

Hey! It's hard work, sleeping in this heat.

Why is everyone picking on me?

Whether you're tired from working or from the heat,

eat up and replenish your energy.

Suk! Stay until Seyeon comes and join us for dinner.

Should I?

- Seyeon! / - Hi, Seyeon.

Come and eat with us.

Why is everyone...

- Seyeon! / - Seyeon!

- Seyeon! / - Seyeon!

- Seyeon! / - Seyeon! What's wrong?

- Seyeon! / - Dad, hold her.

- Oh, my gosh. / - Hold her up.

Please come with me.

The security camera will shut off

for 30 minutes.

Empty the box during that time.

I'll open it.

Go ahead.

This company

will be reborn as Eun Gyeonghye's Winners.

What's in the box is mine, remember?

What do you mean, dad?

Seyeon left the company? Why?

The Eunsong designs are being highly praised.

Why don't you postpone the succeeding project?

Are you stopping Seyeon as I ordered?

Sorry, mom. I won't just take it again.

I'll get stronger.

Live 2 Love - Part 2 - Duration: 28:31.

ANNOUNCER: THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN MADE POSSIBLE BY

THE FRIENDS AND PARTNERS OF JOYCE MEYER MINISTRIES.

JOYCE: IF WE ARE GONNA BE EASILY OFFENDED, AND TOUCHY,

AND KEEP A LIST OF EVERY LITTLE WRONG THING THAT EVERYBODY DOES

TO US, AND GET OUT IN SOCIETY AND RANT AND RAVE ON PEOPLE, AND

BE IMPATIENT WITH EVERY LITTLE MISTAKE THAT THEY MAKE, HOW CAN

WE EXPECT ANYBODY TO WANT WHAT WE HAVE?

[MUSIC]

JOYCE: OUR FAITH COMES TO LIFE THROUGH LOVE, RECEIVING

GOD'S LOVE AND LOVING OTHER PEOPLE.

SO IT'S IMPORTANT FOR US TO BE GENEROUS AND TO REACH OUT TO

OTHER PEOPLE AS MUCH AS WE POSSIBLY CAN.

THE ONLY WAY PEOPLE HAVE AN AUTHENTIC EXPERIENCE WITH

GOD'S LOVE IS THROUGH SOMEONE SHOWING THEM LOVE.

SO WE SHOULD ALWAYS BE LOOKING FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO DO GOOD.

WATCH THIS TEACHING ABOUT LOVING OTHERS, AND THEN I'LL BE BACK

WITH A SPECIAL REPORT THAT I BELIEVE WILL REALLY BLESS YOU.

JOYCE: WE NEED TO REALIZE THAT JUST OUR DAILY ATTITUDE CAN

HELP PEOPLE OR CAN HURT PEOPLE.

IT CAN LEAD PEOPLE TO CHRIST OR IT CAN DRIVE THEM AWAY

FROM CHRIST, AMEN.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: ACTS 10:38 SAYS: "SEE HOW GOD ANOINTED

JESUS OF NAZARETH WITH THE [HOLY] GHOST AND POWER;

WHO WENT ABOUT DOING GOOD AND, IN PARTICULAR, CURING ALL THAT

WERE OPPRESSED OF THE DEVIL."

THAT'S ACTS 10:38.

I LOVE THAT ABOUT JESUS, THAT HE JUST WENT ABOUT DOING GOOD.

JESUS, OUR AMAZING, POWERFUL, AWESOME GOD AND SAVIOR JUST GOT

UP EVERY DAY, HAD BREAKFAST WITH THE BOYS, AND WENT ABOUT

DOING GOOD.

WELL, YOU KNOW, I'VE DECIDED THAT I CAN WENT ABOUT

DOING GOOD.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TO HAVE A COLLEGE DEGREE

TO DO THAT.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO TO SEMINARY.

YOU CAN JUST WENT ABOUT.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: TO THE GROCERY STORE, IN TRAFFIC, IN YOUR

NEIGHBORHOOD, AT SCHOOL, AT WORK, YOU JUST WENT ABOUT AND

SERVE THE LORD WITH GLADNESS.

BE A BLESSING EVERYWHERE THAT YOU GO.

THIS IS CHRISTIANITY 101 MADE SIMPLE.

"FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE."

HE CARED FOR THE POOR.

THEY ALWAYS CARRIED MONEY WITH THEM TO GIVE TO THE POOR.

AND PAUL, AFTER MANY YEARS NOT BEING WITH THE OTHER APOSTLES

BECAUSE HE DIDN'T KNOW IF THEY WOULD RECEIVE HIM BECAUSE HE HAD

FORMERLY BEEN PERSECUTING THE CHURCH, WHEN HE FINALLY DID

PRESENT HIMSELF TO THE OTHER APOSTLES TO SEE IF THEY HAD ANY

INSTRUCTIONS FOR HIM, THE BIBLE SAYS THAT "THEY DID NOT REQUIRE

HIM TO DO ANYTHING AT ALL, OTHER THAN THEY JUST REMINDED HIM TO

MAKE SURE THAT HE HELPED THE POOR,

WHICH THING HE SAID, 'I WAS VERY HAPPY TO DO.'"

NOW, WHEN WE THINK ABOUT THE POOR, WHAT DO WE

REALLY ENVISION?

ARE POOR PEOPLE JUST THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE ON THE STREETS AND HAVE

NO MONEY, HAVE NO FOOD, DON'T HAVE PROPER CLOTHING?

YES, THOSE ARE POOR PEOPLE, BUT I'VE TAKEN A NEW DEFINITION OF

"POOR" BECAUSE IT GIVES ME A WIDER BASE OF PEOPLE TO HELP,

AND I DON'T EVER WANNA RUN OUT OF PEOPLE TO HELP.

SO I'VE DECIDED THAT ANYBODY POOR, AT LEAST AS FAR AS I'M

CONCERNED, IS SOMEBODY WHO HAS A NEED AND HAS NO WAY OF MEETING

THAT NEED THEMSELVES.

A POOR PERSON IS SOMEONE WHO HAS LESS THAN YOU DO.

AND YOU KNOW WHY I'VE DECIDED TO LOOK AT IT LIKE THAT?

BECAUSE ALTHOUGH THEY MIGHT NOT BE POOR IN THE TRUE DEFINITION

OF THE POOR, I REMEMBER WHEN DAVE AND I NEVER HAD THE MONEY

TO GO OUT AND EAT.

I REMEMBER WHEN I NEVER GOT A NEW OUTFIT, MAYBE FOR A YEAR.

I REMEMBER WHEN I HAD TO TAKE A CALCULATOR TO THE GROCERY STORE

WITH ME AND I COULD NOT SPEND 1 PENNY OVER $35 A WEEK

FOR GROCERIES.

AND WHEN I GOT TO THE CHECKOUT LANE, IF I HAD MORE THAN THAT

$35 WORTH, OR $70 FOR 2 WEEKS 'CAUSE WE ONLY WENT EVERY

2 WEEKS, THEN I HAD TO START TAKIN' STUFF BACK AND PUTTIN' IT

BACK WHERE IT BELONGED.

AND IT WAS IN THAT GROCERY STORE THAT GOD TAUGHT ME A LOT OF

LESSONS ABOUT HIS NATURE AND HOW HE WANTS US TO BE EXCELLENT.

LITTLE THINGS YOU'VE HEARD ME TALK ABOUT, PUTTING MY GROCERY

CART BACK WHERE IT BELONGED.

WHEN I GOT SOMETHIN' IN MY CART AND I GOT TO THE CHECKOUT LANE

AND REALIZED I COULDN'T KEEP IT, NOT STICKIN' THE LETTUCE IN THE

CLEANSER, BUT GOIN' AND PUTTIN' IT BACK WHERE IT BELONGED.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHIN'.

IF YOU WANNA GO TO THE SCHOOL OF THE HOLY GHOST, HE WILL TEACH

YOU AND USE YOU EVERYWHERE THAT YOU GO.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO TO CHURCH TO FIND GOD, HE'S EVERYWHERE.

[AUDIENCE CHEERING]

JOYCE: AND YOU DON'T NECESSARILY HAVE TO GO TO BIBLE

COLLEGE TO LEARN HOW TO MINISTER.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SAY, "GOD, TEACH ME IN MY EVERYDAY LIFE HOW

I CAN SERVE YOU AND DO EVERYTHING THAT YOU WANT ME

TO DO."

THIS IS WHAT THE CHURCH IS MISSING.

BEING A CHRISTIAN IS ABOUT MORE THAN GOING

AND PARKING YOUR LITTLE BEHIND ON A PEW EVERY SUNDAY MORNING

FOR 45 MINUTES WHILE YOU SLEEP THROUGH

HALF OF IT AND CAN'T WAIT FOR IT TO GET OVER AND GO OUT AND NOT

DO ANYTHING FOR ANYBODY ELSE.

[AUDIENCE CHEERING]

JOYCE: THAT IS NOT CHRISTIANITY.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: AND I HOPE NOBODY MISUNDERSTANDS THIS.

I LOVE LOCAL CHURCH.

I THINK IT IS AMAZING, BUT I WANNA SAY SOMETHIN', AND I WANT

YOU TO TAKE IT IN THE RIGHT SPIRIT.

I THINK SOMETIMES WE MAKE TOO MUCH OUT OF, "I GO TO CHURCH,"

AND NOT ENOUGH OUT OF, "I LIVE THE LIFE,"

AND THAT'S WHAT WE NEED TO DO.

[AUDIENCE CHEERING]

JOYCE: "ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN?" "WELL, I GO TO CHURCH."

WELL, THAT DOESN'T TELL ME YOU'RE A CHRISTIAN.

SOME OF THE MEANEST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD ARE IN CHURCH.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: I'VE HAD THE BENEFIT OF THEIR MEANNESS OVER

THE YEARS, LET ME TELL YA.

AND WE NEED TO GO TO CHURCH TO BE INSTRUCTED, TO FELLOWSHIP

WITH OTHER PEOPLE, TO LEARN, TO BE ACCOUNTABLE TO SOMEBODY, BUT

IT IS USELESS IF WE JUST KEEP IT IN THE CHURCH.

WE DON'T JUST ACT LIKE GOD ON SUNDAY MORNING AND THEN GO ACT

LIKE THE DEVIL THE REST OF THE WEEK.

"PETER, DO YOU LOVE ME?

HELP SOMEBODY."

ASK YOURSELF A FEW HARD QUESTIONS: "WHAT HAVE I DONE

FOR ANYBODY LATELY?" "HOW MANY THINGS DO I STILL HAVE

IN MY POSSESSION THAT GOD TOLD ME TO GIVE AWAY?"

WHAT ABOUT THE LAST TIME YOU DECIDED TO SELL ALL THE JUNK IN

YOUR HOUSE AND YOU KINDA GOT THIS LITTLE NUDGE THAT YOU

REALLY SHOULD JUST GIVE IT AWAY, BUT YOU WANTED TO MAKE

3 OR 4 BUCKS, AND SO YOU--?

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: OKAY, ALL RIGHT, I WON'T GO THERE.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: WHOO, OKAY, I'M REALLY TRYING NOT TO GO THERE.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: OH, MERCY, I REMEMBER WORKIN' DAYS PUTTIN' TOGETHER

A GARAGE SALE.

DAYS OF HARD LABOR, MAKE 35, 40 BUCKS, 50 BUCKS,

AND I FINALLY THOUGHT, "I'M TAKIN' THE EASY ROUTE.

I'M SOWIN' THIS AS SEED AND GONNA BELIEVE GOD

FOR A HARVEST."

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: NOW, AND I'M NOT--YOU KNOW, IF YOU ENJOY IT, DO IT.

DON'T WRITE ME LETTERS ABOUT GARAGE SALES.

I USED TO LIVE AT 'EM.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: I THANK GOD THAT THEY WERE AVAILABLE WHEN I NEEDED 'EM

BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE THE MONEY TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE.

AND I WOULD BUY ALL MY KIDS' CLOTHES THERE, SO--

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: BUT WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT IS WHEN YOU KNOW GOD, AND

YOU KNOW PEOPLE THAT--I MEAN, DO WE REALLY THINK THAT

THE CHURCH SHOULD HAVE TO EXIST ON RUMMAGE SALES?

NO, BRING YOUR TITHES AND OFFERINGS, AND THERE WON'T BE

ANY NEED FOR A RUMMAGE SALE.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: OH, I'M NOT BEHAVING VERY WELL, AM I?

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: YOU SAY, "WELL, WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT?"

YOU KNOW WHAT?

I'M NOT TRYIN' TO REALLY MAKE ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT.

I'M TRYING TO JUST GET ACROSS A PRINCIPLE THAT WE'RE SO MUCH

BETTER OFF TO GIVE ANY TIME WE CAN GIVE THAN TO TRY TO LABOR

TO GET IT IN SOME NATURAL WAY.

BE GENEROUS, HAVE A GENEROUS SPIRIT.

DON'T GIVE THE LEAST AMOUNT THAT YOU CAN AND TRY TO MAKE A FEW

BUCKS OFF OF EVERYTHING YOU DO, GIVE.

[AUDIENCE CHEERING]

JOYCE: YEAH, I KNOW WHY YOU'RE QUIET, 'CAUSE YOU'RE

THINKIN', "HMM.

WELL, IS IT WRONG TO HAVE A GARAGE SALE?"

I DON'T CARE HOW MANY GARAGE SALES YOU HAVE.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: BUT I MEAN, I THINK THERE IS A POINT WHERE WE NEED

TO THINK, "HOW MUCH TIME AM I GONNA PUT INTO THIS?"

YEAH, IT'S LIKE I USED TO DRIVE ALL OVER TOWN TRYIN' TO

FIND A SALE, AND FINALLY, ONE DAY REALIZED I WAS SPENDIN'

MORE IN GAS THAN I WAS GETTIN' ON THE SALE.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: WHEN I FINALLY GOT THERE.

ALL RIGHT, I'M VEERING OFF IN OTHER AREAS.

I NEED TO BEHAVE AND GET BACK HERE.

I BELIEVE THAT WE SEE THINGS A LOT DIFFERENTLY THAN

GOD DOES.

YOU KNOW, MOSES WAS REFERRED TO AS, "A SERVANT IN ALL OF

GOD'S HOUSE."

JESUS IS REFERRED TO AS, "A SERVANT."

NOW, MOST OF US, IF SOMEBODY SAID TO YOU,

"ARE YOU A SERVANT?" AND IT WASN'T IN A CHURCH

SETTING LIKE THIS--I MEAN, NATURALLY, YOU'D GIVE THE RIGHT

ANSWER IF I'D ASK YOU NOW, BUT-- YOU KNOW, WE ALWAYS

WANNA HAVE A TITLE AND FEEL IMPORTANT.

AND, YOU KNOW, I'VE TOLD PEOPLE THAT WORK FOR ME, LIKE, "WHEN

SOMEBODY ASKS YOU, 'WELL, WHAT DO YOU DO FOR JOYCE?'

WHY DON'T YOU JUST TELL 'EM, 'I HELP'?"

WHY ARE WE ALL SO OVERLY INTERESTED IN HAVING OUR TITLE?

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: YOU KNOW, PEOPLE ASK ME, "WELL, HOW WOULD YOU LIKE US

TO INTRODUCE YOU?

REVEREND, DOCTOR, BISHOP, APOSTLE?"

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: I SAID, "WELL, I STARTED OUT AS JOYCE.

I THINK THAT'S WHO I STILL AM."

[AUDIENCE CHEERING]

JOYCE: AND, YOU KNOW, THERE'S NOTHING AT ALL WRONG WITH TITLES

FOR HONOR, BUT WE SURE SHOULD NEVER INSIST THAT SOMEBODY

GIVE US ONE.

IT SHOULD BE SOMETHING THAT THEY CONFER ON US IF THEY WANT TO,

BUT WE DON'T NEED TO NEED IT, AMEN?

OKAY, YOU GUYS ARE WEARIN' ME OUT.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: LET'S LOOK AT--OH, MAN I'VE GOTTEN SO LOST.

I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT I'M DOIN' ANYMORE.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: SEE, DAVE LOST HIS PLACE UP HERE THIS MORNING AND I

SAID, "JUST DO WHAT I DO.

JUST TELL 'EM YOU FORGOT WHAT YOU WERE SAYIN' AND GO ON ABOUT

YOUR BUSINESS."

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: PEOPLE LIKE IT WHEN THEY THINK YOU'RE A LITTLE DUMB.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: IT MAKES 'EM FEEL GOOD.

YEAH, SOMETIMES I STILL HAVE TO FIND ONE OF THE BOOKS IN

THE BIBLE IN THE FRONT, AND I'VE BEEN--37 YEARS

I'VE BEEN STUDYIN' THE WORD, AND I'M LIKE, "WHERE IS THAT

LITTLE PROPHET?

WHERE'S HE AT?"

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: SEE, NOW YOU LIKE ME BETTER.

[AUDIENCE CHEERING]

JOYCE: MATTHEW 20, VERSE 20: "THEN THE MOTHER OF ZEBEDEE'S

CHILDREN CAME UP TO HIM WITH HER SONS AND, KNEELING DOWN,

SHE WORSHIPED HIM AND SAID, 'COULD YOU DO ME A FAVOR?'

AND HE SAID, 'WELL, WHAT IS IT THAT

YOU WANT?' AND SHE SAID, 'GIVE ORDERS

THAT THESE TWO SONS OF MINE MIGHT SIT, ONE AT YOUR

RIGHT HAND AND ONE AT YOUR LEFT WHEN YOU COME INTO YOUR

KINGDOM.' BUT JESUS REPLIED,

'YOU DON'T EVEN REALIZE WHAT YOU'RE ASKING.

ARE YOU ABLE TO DRINK THE CUP THAT I'M ABOUT TO DRINK AND TO

BE BAPTIZED WITH THE BAPTISM WITH WHICH I AM BAPTIZED?'"

NOW, LOOK HERE.

IF YOU WANNA SIT WITH JESUS, THEN YOU GOTTA BE WILLING TO BE

A SERVANT LIKE JESUS WAS A SERVANT.

THIS WOMAN DIDN'T KNOW WHAT SHE WAS TALKIN' ABOUT.

SHE WANTED HER SONS TO HAVE TITLES AND POSITIONS AND TO BE

WELL THOUGHT OF, AND JESUS SAID, "ARE YOU ABLE TO DRINK THE CUP

THAT I DRINK?

ARE YOU ABLE TO LIVE THE SELF-SACRIFICING LIFE

THAT I'M GONNA LIVE?

ARE YOU ABLE TO FORGET YOURSELF AND MEET THE NEEDS OF OTHER

PEOPLE?" ISN'T THAT WHAT JESUS DID?

SO WHAT ARE WE REALLY SAYIN' WHEN WE SAY,

"I WANNA BE LIKE JESUS"?

I MEAN, IT CAN'T JUST BE THIS FLOATY, CLOUDLIKE, "OH."

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: "YES, JUST MAKE ME LIKE YOU, JESUS.

IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU, JESUS, WHOO-WHOO-WHOO."

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: I JUST DON'T DO WELL WITH THAT KINDA STUFF.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: I MEAN, LOOK, WE'RE HAVIN' FUN IN HERE, BUT HERE'S

THE BAD NEWS, YOU GOTTA GO HOME.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: AND WHEN YOU DO, I WANT YOU TO GO HOME

AND ACT LIKE YOU GOT SOMETHIN'.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: I WANT YOU TO GO HOME AND BE SO CHANGED THAT NEXT

YEAR, IF ANYBODY HEARS I'M ANYWHERE IN THE VICINITY,

THEY'LL PAY YOU TO GO BACK.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: AND GET SOME MORE OF THAT GOD HELP YOU GOT THE LAST

TIME 'CAUSE YOU CAME HOME IN BETTER CONDITION THAN YOU WERE

WHEN YOU LEFT.

[AUDIENCE CHEERING]

JOYCE: "YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU'RE ASKIN' FOR."

"HE SAID TO THEM, 'YOU WILL DRINK THE CUP THAT I DRINK, BUT

SEATS AT MY RIGHT AND LEFT HAND, THOSE ARE NOT MINE TO GIVE, BUT

THEY ARE FOR THOSE FOR WHOM IT HAS BEEN ORDAINED AND PREPARED

BY MY FATHER.'" AND I LOVE THIS PART.

"THEN WHEN THE [OTHER TEN DISCIPLES] HEARD THIS,

THEY GOT INDIGNANT."

THEY'RE LIKE, "WELL, WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?

THOSE SEATS ARE GONNA BE OURS, SURELY."

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: "YOU GUYS ARE WAY DOWN THE LIST WHEN IT COMES TO THOSE

POSITIONS.

HUH."

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: THAT'S WHAT IT MEANS TO BE INDIGNANT, YOU KNOW?

IT'S LIKE, "HMPH, WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?"

SEE, I'VE HAD A LOT OF PRACTICE WITH ALL THIS.

"AND JESUS CALLED THEM TO HIM AND SAID, 'YOU KNOW THAT

THE RULERS AND THE GENTILES LORD IT OVER THEM, AND GREAT MEN HOLD

THEM IN SUBJECTION [TYRANNIZING THEM].'" VERSE 26: "'NOT SO

SHALL IT BE AMONG YOU; BUT WHOEVER WISHES TO BE GREAT AMONG

YOU MUST BE YOUR SERVANT.'" GOOD, I GOT THREE PEOPLE

CLAPPIN' OVER HERE.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: AND WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOU HAVE TO GO SCRUB THE FLOOR BEFORE

YOU LEAVE.

ALTHOUGH, IF IT NEEDS TO BE SCRUBBED, YOU'RE NOT TOO

GOOD TO.

BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT THAT'S WHAT I'M ASKING YOU

TO DO.

WHAT I'M ASKING IS FOR MYSELF AND FOR ALL OF US TO REALIZE THE

GREAT IMPORTANCE OF WHERE WE'RE AT IN SOCIETY TODAY AND WHAT IS

GOING ON IN THE WORLD TODAY.

AND THERE IS NO HOPE FOR SOCIETY WITHOUT US.

IT'S GETTING DARKER.

AND WHEN I SAY, "US," I MEAN GOD WORKING THROUGH US.

IF I SAID TO ANY OF YOU, "HOW MANY OF YOU BELIEVE THAT

GOD IS THE ANSWER?" YOU'D ALL SAY, "YES."

BUT HOW DO WE THINK THAT PEOPLE ARE GONNA SEE GOD.

WELL, YES, WE'D LOVE FOR HIM TO APPEAR.

I'D LOVE THAT.

JESUS, COME ON DOWN HERE AND STRAIGHTEN THIS OUT.

BUT UNTIL HE DOES, HE'S GOT US.

WE'VE GOT HIM, BUT WE'RE ALL HE'S GOT.

YOU AND ME, WE ARE ALL THAT GOD HAS GOT.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: AND IF WE ARE GONNA BE EASILY OFFENDED, AND TOUCHY,

AND KEEP A LIST OF EVERY LITTLE WRONG THING THAT EVERYBODY DOES

TO US, AND GET OUT IN SOCIETY AND RANT AND RAVE ON PEOPLE, AND

BE IMPATIENT WITH EVERY LITTLE MISTAKE THAT THEY MAKE, HOW CAN

WE EXPECT ANYBODY TO WANT WHAT WE HAVE?

HOW CAN WE EXPECT THE CHURCH TO DO ANYTHING, BUT DECREASE IN

SIZE WEEK BY WEEK BY WEEK, AND WORLDWIDE, AND I'M SURE THIS

CHURCH IS GROWING, AND THERE ARE MANY CHURCHES THAT ARE GROWING,

BUT WORLDWIDE, THERE ARE LESS PEOPLE GOING TO CHURCH NOW THAT

AT ANY OTHER TIME IN HISTORY, AND THAT IS SPOOKY SCARY.

AND YOU KNOW WHY?

BECAUSE A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T REALLY SEE ANYTHING REAL ABOUT

THE LIFE OF A CHRISTIAN.

AND I AM DETERMINED THAT AS LONG AS I'VE GOT BREATH, I AM GONNA

TEACH PEOPLE, "IF WE'RE GOING TO DO THIS, THEN LET'S NOT LET IT

BE A NAME ONLY.

LET'S BEAR THE FRUIT AND LIVE THE LIFE.

[AUDIENCE CHEERING]

JOYCE: AMEN?

I MEAN, WE ARE LIVING IN DESPERATE TIMES.

DON'T PRAY FOR GOD TO GET YOU OUT OF THE PLACE WHERE YOU WORK

BECAUSE YOU'RE THE ONLY CHRISTIAN THERE.

"WELL, GOD, I JUST CAN'T STAY HERE ANY LONGER.

I'M THE ONLY CHRISTIAN HERE."

WELL, DID YOU PRAY FOR GOD TO USE YOU?

WELL, GOOD, THEN HE PUT YOU SOMEWHERE WHERE YOU'RE NEEDED.

NOW JUST GET THERE AND FORGET ABOUT YOUR SWEET LITTLE

SELF AND JUST BE A LIGHT IN A DARK PLACE.

SHOW EVERYBODY THE LOVE OF GOD.

AND WHEN YOU NEED TO GET OUT OF THERE, GOD'LL GET YOU OUT OF

THERE IF YOU NEED TO GET OUT OF THERE.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: HOW MANY OF YA UNDERSTAND WHAT I'M SAYIN'?

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: I NEEDED THIS TODAY.

I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU, BUT I NEEDED THIS TODAY.

NOW, LET ME READ YOU A COUPLE STORIES.

YOU KNOW, WE ALL KNOW THAT SOMETHIN' NEEDS TO BE DONE.

WE'RE JUST NOT SURE THAT WE'RE THE ONES THAT SHOULD DO IT.

THEY, "THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO TAKE OF EVERYTHING."

WELL, WE'VE SEEN HOW THAT'S WORKIN'.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: THEY, WHOEVER THEY ARE.

I'VE YET TO FIGURE OUT WHO THEY ARE YET, BUT THEY'RE THE ONES

THAT NEED TO DO IT.

HERE'S A STORY THAT I HEARD ABOUT FOUR PEOPLE NAMED

EVERYBODY, SOMEBODY, ANYBODY, AND NOBODY.

THERE WAS AN IMPORTANT JOB THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE,

AND EVERYBODY WAS SURE SOMEBODY WOULD DO IT.

ANYBODY COULD'VE DONE IT, BUT NOBODY DID IT.

SOMEBODY GOT ANGRY ABOUT IT BECAUSE IT WAS EVERYBODY'S JOB.

AND EVERYBODY THOUGHT ANYBODY COULD DO IT, BUT NOBODY REALIZED

THAT EVERYBODY WOULDN'T DO IT.

AND IN THE END, EVERYBODY BLAMED SOMEBODY, WHEN NOBODY DID WHAT

ANYBODY COULD'VE DONE.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: WELL, I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THAT TEACHING.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE IT MAKES WHEN WE ALL WORK TOGETHER TO HELP

PEOPLE.

HAND OF HOPE, OUR MISSIONS OUTREACH, HAS BEEN WORKING IN

CHINA FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS, DISTRIBUTING RESOURCES TO HELP

AND ENCOURAGE THE UNDERGROUND CHURCH, WHICH IS SUFFERING GREAT

PERSECUTION RIGHT NOW.

WE'VE SENT HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF COPIES OF SOME OF MY BOOKS,

DVDS, AND DIGITAL TEACHINGS ON USB DRIVES.

RECENTLY, WITH THE HELP OF OUR FRIENDS AND PARTNERS, WE HAD

THE PRIVILEGE OF BRINGING 500 CHURCH LEADERS

OUT OF CHINA INTO ASIA AND TRAINING THEM THERE

FOR 2 DAYS.

I WAS ABLE TO BRING THE WORD SEVERAL TIMES ALONG WITH OTHERS,

AND IT WAS A GREAT TIME OF FELLOWSHIP AND REFRESHING

FOR THEM.

WE'VE BEEN TOLD THAT DESPITE THE PERSECUTION THAT THEY

EXPERIENCE, THAT 30,000 PEOPLE EVERY DAY ARE BEING ADDED TO

THE CHINESE CHURCH, AND THAT'S A CONSERVATIVE NUMBER.

WATCH THIS AMAZING TESTIMONY IN OUR ONGOING SERIES OF STORIES

FROM CHINA, AND I'LL BE BACK IN JUST A FEW MINUTES.

ANNOUNCER: WE'VE CONCEALED THE IDENTITIES OF THESE CHURCH

LEADERS TO PROTECT THEM FROM POSSIBLE PUNISHMENT FROM

THE CHINESE GOVERNMENT.

JUN: IN 2007, I WAS IN THE FAR WEST OF CHINA, AND WE HAD

MINISTRY TRAINING, AND THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME I WATCHED

A JOYCE MEYER MESSAGE ON DVD, AND IT REALLY IMPACT ME.

I STILL REMEMBER THAT MESSAGE VERY CLEARLY.

IT WAS ABOUT THE NEW LIFE WE HAVE IN CHRIST, WHAT IT IS TO BE

A NEW CREATION, A NEW PERSON IN CHRIST, AND THAT WAS EXTREMELY

HELPFUL FOR ME.

WE ARE VERY THANKFUL FOR THE BOOKS THAT WE HAVE RECEIVED.

THEY HAVE BEEN A BIG BLESSING TO US.

THERE'S A LOT OF APPLICATION THERE, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES

TO PRAYER AND FORGIVENESS.

THESE BOOKS REALLY HELP US GROW AS MEN AND WOMEN IN CHRIST,

AND THAT IS PRICELESS.

WEI: GOD HAS GIVEN JOYCE A SPECIFIC MESSAGE THAT BLESSES

PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD.

THIS MESSAGE OF UNDERSTANDING OUR IDENTITY IN CHRIST, THIS IS

A VERY POWERFUL MESSAGE, AND IT'S NEEDED EVERYWHERE.

FOR EXAMPLE, THE WOMAN, WHO IS THE VOICE OF JOYCE MEYER IN

WESTERN CHINA, SHE SHARED WITH ME PERSONALLY THAT JOYCE'S

TESTIMONY, HOW SHE OVERCAME ABUSE, IS REALLY POWERFUL,

ESPECIALLY FOR THE MUSLIMS IN THIS REGION.

IT IS SOMETHING THEY WOULD NEVER HEAR, BUT IT'S LIFE CHANGING

FOR THEM.

AND IN THESE MUSLIM COMMUNITIES, A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE HAD THESE

SAME EXPERIENCES, BUT NO ONE WILL TALK ABOUT IT.

ANNOUNCER: LING AND HER HUSBAND HAVE BEEN IN FULL-TIME

MINISTRY FOR 30 YEARS.

HER FAMILY'S STORY IS NOTHING SHORT OF MIRACULOUS.

HER FATHER GAVE HIS HEART TO JESUS AFTER EXPERIENCING

A PHYSICAL HEALING IN 1985.

IT WAS A COMMON THEME WE HEARD MANY TIMES AS WE TALKED WITH

CHURCH LEADERS.

IN THE 1980S, MANY BECAME BELIEVERS AFTER WITNESSING

OR RECEIVING A HEALING.

FEMALE: MY MOTHER LOVED JESUS, BUT MY FATHER DID NOT.

MY FATHER WOULDN'T ALLOW MY MOTHER TO GO TO CHURCH.

HE WOULD FIGURE OUT WHEN WORSHIP SERVICES WERE, AND HE WOULD LOCK

ALL THE DOORS, AND HE WOULDN'T LET HER GET OUT OF THE HOUSE.

THAT WAS PRETTY MUCH OUR FAMILY SITUATION FOR FIVE YEARS.

IN 1985, MY FATHER CONTRACTED A DISEASE, AND IT WAS SO EXTREME

THAT THERE WAS BASICALLY NOTHING WE COULD DO.

MY MOTHER TOLD MY FATHER OVER AND OVER, "GIVE YOURSELF TO GOD.

GOD CAN HEAL YOU.

YOU MUST BELIEVE IN JESUS."

MY DAD SAID, "EVEN THOUGH I'M ABOUT TO DIE,

I WILL NOT BELIEVE."

SO SHE WENT OUT TO THE CHURCH AND GOT BROTHERS AND SISTERS

AND SAID, "PLEASE COME PRAY FOR MY HUSBAND."

WE BEGAN TO SEE FROM THAT DAY FORWARD HIS DISEASE STARTED TO

DECREASE.

HE GOT BETTER AND BETTER, AND ONE MONTH LATER, MY FATHER

GAVE HIS HEART TO JESUS.

HE SAW HIS BODY BEING RESTORED, AND HIS MIND CAME BACK,

AND HE SAID, "GOD IS REAL.

GOD IS TRUE."

HIS HEART WAS REALLY CHANGED, AND HE HAD A SINCERE FAITH.

MY FATHER BEGAN TO SHARE HIS TESTIMONY MORE AND MORE,

TELLING OTHERS THAT JESUS HEALED HIS DISEASE.

I SAW THAT CHANGE FROM HIM TOTALLY PERSECUTING CHRISTIANS

AND DENYING JESUS, HATING JESUS, TO BECOMING A MAN THAT WAS

SHARING HIS FAITH AND SERVING THE CHURCH.

HE BECAME A PREACHER.

SO IT WAS IN 1985 THAT HE WAS HEALED.

AND EVEN UNTIL THIS DAY, HIS HEALTH IS STILL EXCELLENT.

NOW, HE IS 72 YEARS OLD.

HE'S STILL RIDING A BICYCLE AND PREACHING THE GOSPEL

IN OUR VILLAGES.

MY FATHER HAS SEEN SO MANY PEOPLE BE HEALED FROM DISEASES

JUST BY PRAYER.

THE LOVE THAT HE RECEIVED FROM GOD, HE HAS POURED THAT OUT TO

OTHERS.

JOYCE: WELL, LING'S STORY IS A WONDERFUL TESTIMONY OF GOD'S

GOODNESS, AND I'M SO EXCITED THAT WE WERE ABLE TO HAVE A PART

IN REACHING CHINESE BELIEVERS WITH THE LOVE OF CHRIST.

AND WE COULDN'T DO THIS AT ALL WITHOUT THE HELP OF YOU,

OUR FRIENDS AND PARTNERS, SO THANK YOU.

AND I REALLY PRAY THAT YOU'RE EXCITED ABOUT BEING A PART

OF THAT TOO.

YOU'RE MAKING IT POSSIBLE FOR US TO EQUIP AND ENCOURAGE OUR

CHINESE BROTHERS AND SISTERS, AND TRULY MIRACULOUS THINGS ARE

HAPPENING.

IN ADDITION TO THE WORK IN CHINA, WE'RE INVOLVED IN ALL

KINDS OF OUTREACH, WATER WELLS, MEDICAL OUTREACHES, DISASTER

RELIEF, FEEDING THE HUNGRY, CLOTHING THE NAKED.

WE'RE TRYING TO DO EVERYTHING WE CAN TO REACH PEOPLE WITH GOD'S

LOVE THROUGH MISSION OUTREACHES.

AND SO, TODAY I'M ASKING YOU IF YOU WILL GET INVOLVED IN

MISSIONS.

YOU KNOW, GOD CALLS ALL OF US TO BE PART OF SPREADING THE GOSPEL.

SOME ARE CALLED TO GO.

SOME ARE CALLED TO SEND.

SO I'M ASKING YOU IF YOU WILL SEND IN A VERY GENEROUS, YOUR

BEST MISSIONS GIFT TODAY JUST TO HELP US CONTINUE OUTREACHES LIKE

THIS ONE IN CHINA AND OTHERS ALL OVER THE WORLD.

AND YOU KNOW WHAT I BELIEVE?

I BELIEVE THIS WITH ALL MY HEART, THAT WHATEVER YOU GIVE,

GOD GIVES IT BACK TO YOU MULTIPLIED MANY, MANY, MANY

TIMES OVER.

AND SOMETHING THAT IS EVEN MORE IMPORTANT TO ME, I BELIEVE WHEN

YOU GIVE GENEROUSLY THAT THERE'S A RELEASE OF JOY IN YOUR LIFE.

SO DO YOUR VERY BEST, AND WE APPRECIATE ANYTHING AND

EVERYTHING THAT YOU CAN DO, BLESS YOU.

GINGER: HERE IN HOUSTON, TEXAS,

DISASTER HAS HIT FAMILIES HARD, AND WE KNOW THAT IT WILL

TAKE A LONG TIME TO RECOVER.

BUT AT HAND OF HOPE, WE ARE COMMITTED TO BE HERE TO HELP,

YOU SEE, TOGETHER, WE CAN COME IN TO A SITUATION LIKE THIS AND

OFFER HOPE IN THE DARKEST TIMES.

THAT'S WHAT'S HAPPENING RIGHT HERE TODAY, AND THAT'S ALSO WHAT

IS HAPPENING AROUND THE WORLD WITH OUR OTHER

Falco Tarassaco: Human evolution, machines and computer technology (Part 1) - Duration: 3:24.

Falco Tarassaco, the founder of Damanhur, met with the guests each Friday, answering their questions.

Falco: Please

Guest: I'll read a little piece from Esoteric Physics

(Translation in Italian)

Guest: "The universe of form follows as a whole, a direction of complexity

aimed at the perfect optimization of ever more diversification of form"

(Translation in Italian)

"It is an antientropic interpretation of the universe and of life"

Guest: So, my question is what do you see for computer technology

as something that possibly fits in to a new form of intelligence

relating to the other worlds of intelligence such as plant, animal and human?

(Translation in Italian)

Guest: Also of how it relates to the future of humanity

(Translation in Italian)

Falco: I do not exclude that in the future, the human mind can be transferred to advanced mechanical systems

Because life can diffuse itself more, there's a lot of space, the whole universe

If we'd live in other environments, our form would automatically be different

For example: a colony that live only in space, with a very limited gravity

Would be disturbed by the legs, instead they could become something else

It depends on how much the mind will expand, how much we will start to adapt to various systems

Up until arriving to the point of maybe being able to transfer the human mind in structures that are

adapted to environments also without air and things like that

So nothing goes against the fact that life can also be diffused with systems

that we today define as computers, machines and so on

The forces evolve, and also creates other forces

and this could be one of these possibilities

Sarde a Beccafico "il sapore della Sicilia" Sub-Eng - Duration: 6:53.

Hello everyone well found here the heading of

"healthy and delicious". I am Chef Nunzio and I will guide you in this

traditional Sicilian recipe. A plate poor, a popular recipe, born

from the alternative to a luxury dish, which only the Sicilian nobles could

afford. In fact the beccafico from which the recipe is named, but it is not

that a little bird singer, that i Sicilian nobles loved to eat later

have hunted him. The food was inaccessible to the commoners, who thought

to create with the ingredients to them arrangement, then the sardines the crumb

of bread, an alternative to this dish. The real peculiarity of this dish,

are the subtle contrasts of flavor, ad every bite while you enjoy it, yes

they hear a thousand fragrances, they feel the orange, the crunchiness of pine nuts, the

sweetness of the raisin, which overlook almost timidly to accompany the

decided flavor of this tasty little fish. Let's see how they get ready.

Good! Before starting, let's do some

preliminary operations Rehydrate the bay leaves if you do not have them

fresh, grate the peel orange, then cut it and squeeze it too

the juice, half the juice lo we will use to slaughter the raisins. There

next operation will be, do the "Muddicata" we say in Sicily, which would be the

Toasted breadcrumbs in the pan. Tostiamolo paying close attention to

do not let it burn, mixing it continuously, and jumping it into the pan,

until he buys a color beautiful golden like this. Poured the

the breadcrumbs in the bowl, let's start to season it will make the sardines fill.

Add the oil, parsley, salt, raisins and pine nuts.

We mix well and at the end we pour also the remaining orange juice, the

compound must be moist but not sticky like that. Let's move on to a phase

of the demanding recipe, but important. We must indeed clean up

fillet the sardines, looking for absolutely to keep the whole

fillet steak. First we deprive the Sardinian of the head, with a knife a lot

pointed or small scissors, we affect the belly. Helping us now

with both thumbs, gently we remove the meat from the spine.

We sink the index and pull up with delicacy to the spine of the fish,

and once accessible, we grab with your thumb and forefinger and let's pull it

Street. This is the result I'll see you again.

Once you fill all the sardines, let's wash them well under the water

current and then get two clean dishcloths, on one of the two

we arrange the sardines ad neatly to dry. Once arranged for good

cover them with the other dishcloth and let's roll it up on itself. We place

for half an hour in the fridge, this will do so that the sardine pulp is

stiffen making them more compact and resistant to being manipulated and therefore

in our case rolled up. After spending half an hour remove them from the fridge,

remove the upper dishcloth, for our sardines will be perfectly dry.

We are ready for the fun phase of the recipe, we scatter a bit of

composed on the bottom of a pan lined with parchment paper, we combine the

end of two sardines, we place them on the palm of the hand we will hold bent to

cup shape. With the other hand we take a handful of stuffing,

and pour it in the middle between the two sardines, we carefully close the other two

end, rolling it first then a the other on the filling. Let's lean now

on the pan, taking care not to let them open, let's arrange the first leaf

laurel and seal the roll with one toothpick. We continue in the same

way with the rest of the sardines, a leaf alternated with each roll

laurel, to divide it from the other like if it were a separè. The scrolls go

lying close together, so that in cooking keep the right humidity and

the bread inside does not dry out too much. We compact eventual and leftover on the

pan and if advanced of the compound do not worry let's talk about it

simply on Sardinian rolls. Let's the last touch of aroma with half of the

orange peel that we grated. This should be roughly the same

final result, wonderful not do you believe?

Preheat the static oven to 180 degrees,

we set the timer to 20 minutes e let's get ready to inform our sardines.

Once the oven has been preheated bake and let it cook. Here they are

here! My house practically smells of this fantastic dish, it has a smell

and overwhelming a delightful appearance is really special.

I want to make this dish beautiful even more beautiful, so I decorate a

flat, in the corner I create a flower with of balsamic vinegar sauce, do

color and aroma with the remaining peel orange, a tuft of parsley that

break and the colors of this dish, e at the end the Sardines inpiatto in this

so! Now I'm really satisfied, a

dish is important both for how much it concerns the appearance, and above all for

what about the taste, a cooking experience and an experience

taste really unique, directly from Sicily. For this dish it is

really everything, thanks for coming until here I'll see you next time

episode, inexpensive healthy delicious! Hello beautiful!

Ford Focus - test PL & ENG subtitles - kasiafrendl.pl / motocaina.pl - Duration: 14:08.

Hi, it's Kasia Frendl from Motocaina.pl.

I am speaking to you from the outskirts of Nice, France,

overlooked by beautiful mountains and incredible natural environment.

I am at the international presentation of the new Ford Focus.

As you can see, it has changed quite a bit since the last generation

– especially on the inside – and has a lot of new solutions.

But before I talk about them and tell you what makes this car different from its predeccesor,

let's have a look at my test model.

I have chosen the most powerful, 1.5 liter EcoBoost petrol engine,

which makes 182 HP available at my disposal,

and the most sporty ST-Line trim, with a beautiful spoiler and red brake calipers.

Everything about this car encourages sporty driving.

This engine revs in a really pleasant way and sounds very nice at higher RPM.

But more on that in just a moment.

For the first time Focus is available in different chassis configurations.

There is a hatchback, in the Trend, Trend Edition and Titanium trim variants,

there's combi, a heightened by 3 cm Active,

and the most sporty ST-Line version, that has been lowered by a 1 cm.

The Focus now has a longer bonnet,

a larger front line with a pronounced black grille and spread-out headlights,

shorter overhangs and the cabin has been moved slightly towards the rear.

Looking from the front or the sides the car really looks perfect,

but it's at the rear where you will find most changes.

Between the now-two-element tail lights,

which have been spread-out to the sides in order to allow the tailgate to be larger,

some nicely-sculptured letters has been located,

that are somewhat similar to those that could be found on the Porsche Panamera.

The wheelbase has been extended by more than 5 cm,

which allowed for larger-diameter tyres to be fitted.

My test car is sporting some nice 17" wheels.

In the ST-Line version, a more sharply-shaped diffuser can be seen,

alongside a bigger roof spoiler, more scarcely covered intake slots and a characteristic front splitter.

The car as a whole looks really good.

The trunk will fit a large dog playpen without the need to fold down the back seats.

The new Focus also allows for the trunk to be opened contactless,

by sliding your feet under the rear bumper.

Folding the back seats has been also made easier

– they will fold down after unlocking the switch located in the trunk.

The new Focus is the first car in the Ford family based on the new C2 platform,

which brought improved aerodynamics, better accident protection and more space inside the car.

This car drives very tidy and doesn't float like some of its competitors.

Especially in the sport mode it gives the feeling of driving a rally car,

and assures the driver that everything is working exactly as it should.

Turning the wheel, you can really feel what's under the wheels.

The steering system provides great feedback and the Ford engineers deserve big kudos for that,

as I feel that a lot has been improved in this regard.

The annoying constant understeer is nowhere to be found in this car,

and even high speed turns can be taken with confidence.

The car doesn't slide on corner exit,

giving a impression of being four-wheel drive.

The rear suspension in the more powerful engine variants and all combi configurations in multi-link.

All other variants are fitted with an upgraded torsion-beam rear axle.

Driving the most powerful petrol version, I do have the multi-link suspension here,

which provides a good grip and gives a lot of fun in the high speed turns.

However, this solution doesn't feel that much different from a torsion-beam suspension.

So, no matter the configuration, the Focus drives steady and stable,

and behaves intuitively and predictably at higher speeds.

The head up display makes its first apprearance in the Focus line-up

as previously it could only be seen in the more premium models.

It makes me happy, as it is a very convenient solution,

designed of course to keep the driver's eyes on the road, where it should be.

It eliminated the need to look to the sides, for example to glance at a phone connected to the sat nav,

as all the important readings are displayed in front of our eyes.

The speed is always shown, but everything else can be configured.

For example, you can choose to display road signs and the currently allowed speed,

the readings from the adaptive cruise control – if your Focus is equipped with such,

or the sat nav instructions – including those very detailed,

telling you where exactly you need to turn.

The shift indicator can also be displayed, as can details from the entertainment system

or warnings and important notifications.

A very useful feature.

Focus is supposedly the first car where the HUD has a coating allowing it to be seen in polarised sunglasses.

It is also meant to be one of the brightest displays of this kind

and has 16 different colour configurations.

The adaptive suspension allows for the parameters to be quickly configured

in order to suit the changing driving conditions.

The sensors measure the road surface and driver's inputs every 2 ms,

and then quickly change the shock absorbers' stiffness

preparing them for any scenario.

For example, if the system sees a hole in the road, it will try to dampen the hit.

In the automatic transmission variants, the car can perform parallel and perpendicular on its own,

taking over the steering, gear changes, acceleration and braking.

It will also asist the driver reversing out of the parking spot and warn about any upcoming vehicles.

If the driver ignores the warnings, the car will brake on its own, to prevent a collision.

The adaptive headlights can be found for the first time.

The system takes the camera input as a reference and brightens the upcoming turns.

What's even more interesting is that it can read road signs and,

for example, can change the length of the lights depending on the allowed speed.

There is also a pre-collision assist with pedestrian recognition,

that measures the distance from other cars and passerbys, even in the dark,

and can warn the driver about an upcoming collision hazard.

If a driver doesn't respond to it, the system will raise the pressure in the braking system

and even brake on its own, in order to minimise the effects or even prevent the collision altogether.

Driving on the road, I have appreciated the cruise control with a stop and go functionality,

that was keeping the set distance from the car in front,

could stop the car entirely without my input, and then also accelerate on its own.

In the city – especially during the rush hours

– the traffic avoidance function, built into the FordPass Connect modem, can be helpful.

The system syncs with the road traffic database that is refreshed every 30 seconds,

and will send suggestions to the SYNC 3 navigation on how to get around any traffic jams.

The in-car experience will be made even more pleasant by the B&O PLAY audio system,

that is connected to 10 speakers and a subwoofer.

If a car is equipped with the FordPass Connect modem,

it can be turned into a mobile hotspot and up to 10 devices can enjoy internet at the same time.

The 182-horsepower 1.5 EcoBoost engine

jauntily reacts to driver's inputs and indicates that it wants to accelarate and go fast,

even though it only has three cylinders.

To my surprise, it sounds really well also on low revs.

The engine bay is sound-dampened very well,

so the engine becomes really audible only at about 130 km/h.

But this engine really likes to be revved high and responds with a roar that I find quite pleasant,

and above 4000 RPM it gets a whole new loads of energy.

Under the hood of the new Focus one of the two three-cylinder petrol engines can be found

– either the modified 1.0 EcoBoost in 100 HP or 125 HP version,

or the new 1.5 EcoBoost that can generate 150 or 182 horsepower.

There are also two diesel engines to choose from

– the modified 1.5 litre EcoBlue, that generates either 95 or 120 horsepower,

and a brand new 2.0 litre EcoBlue engine that generates 150 horsepower.

The diesel variants come with fuel tanks that are smaller by 5 litres,

because the AdBlue tank also had to be fitted.

It means that only 47 litres of fuel can be taken on-board.

The more powerful engines can be paired with a new 8-speed automatic transmission.

The cabin ergonomy of the new Focus is absolutely spot-on in my opinion.

Everything has been well thought of and, in my opinion, Ford has made a milestone in this area.

There are a lot less buttons and each input is easily accessible at an arms length.

The controls are very readable and intuitive,

so you don't have to give much thought on how to operate the car's functions.

What's more is that each surface meant to be touched is soft.

Only reaching up for you will encounter a hard piece, which I don't mind at all,

as you rarely touch the dashboard that far up the windscreen.

Everything that is interacted with on a more regular basis is not only soft but also pleasant to look at.

The most often touched element is the steering wheel.

The one found in the ST-Line variant is thick, fleshy and covered with a quality leather,

that is also perforated on the sides, which is where you usually place your hands.

The wheel itself is flattened at the bottom, which can be associated with motorsports,

and the flavour is added also by the red stitchings.

The pricing starts with a quite well-equipped Trend variant with a 100 HP 1.0 EcoBoost engine,

such car will cost you 63 900 PLN and it's a discounted price until the supply lasts.

The least expensive diesel – the 95 HP 1.5 EcoBlue

– you will have to pay 73 000 PLN.

The prettiest in my opinion ST-Line Trim starts at 79 000 PLN with a 125 HP 1.0 engine,

while the most powerful 182 HP petrol engine variant can be purchased for 86 000 PLN.

The new Focuses will drive off of the assembly lines only in September.

Is it expensive for what is one of the most interesting hatchbacks on the market in my opinion?

Its German rivals are slightly more expensive but also slightly more boring, so the decision is up to you.

I find the new Focus really appealing.

Unfortunately it's the end of my Ford Focus ST-Line test.

The car looks spectacular in my opinion.

The designers made a tremendous job and a lot of features have been added.

I think that the German rivals have something to start worrying about.

PoP Vlog 13 - Future of Education, Skills & Learning - Duration: 13:37.

Let's look into the future of skills and learning...

I don't have a crystal ball, so I'm gonna use an orange.

Welcome to vlog number 13!

Thank you so much for your likes and your comments on my previous vlog, where we shared

our first anniversary of the advocates.

How time flies!

This month we're looking at the world of future of skills and learning, but before

we get to all of that future thinking, cue that into music!

Have you guys seen the Future Skills site?

It's pretty cool.

You just put your age in, you put your year of birth in, and you put your job title in,

and it tells you in 2030 what skills you're going to need to be able to do that role.

Let's be honest, who knows what you're going to be doing in 2030?

I never knew that five years ago, I was going to pivot my career completely from being in

Customer Services, working in Pearson UK to moving to being a community manager for all

of you at Pearson.

I had no idea what a community manager was.

When Neo came around about eight years ago at Pearson, it was very new.

And, actually, the word, job title, "community management" was rarely seen at companies.

Now, most companies have community managers or social media managers and it's the norm now.

But back then when I was learning what it was and learning about the skills that I'm

going to need to be able to do this role, I had no idea and I didn't have that much

resource to help me, but I had an amazing manager, Kim, who taught me everything I needed

to know.

And back then, you know, that's how I learnt and that's how I learn going forward.

What skills do I need to be better at what I'm doing, take these vlogs for an example.

I didn't know that I was going to be doing these vlogs for you, but I knew I wanted to

do them, I knew that this is what I wanted to do.

So then I went to YouTube and I learnt how to hold a camera and film and I learned how

to edit.

So every day I'm trying to gain new skills to be a better community manager for you,

so every day, I'm always learning.

Ting.

The learning and development team have some resources that can be really helpful for you.

I have popped them down in the description below.

Now, I'm no expert on the Future of Skills and learning, but I have a present skill.

You get it?

It's a present skill, not a future skill.

No?

It's fine, even my husband says I'm funny in my own head.

My present skill is that I am very, very good at bringing the experts around Pearson together

and finding out what they are doing around the future of skills and learning.

So, I'm going to let them tell you about all of their wonderful work.

Hi there, we're here to tell you about two exciting employee engagement events that we

have hosted here in Toronto, in Canada.

But before we get started, we just want to share with you guys our almost completed,

newly renovated office space here in Toronto.

We think it looks great and we're excited to move in soon.

So the first event we wanted to talk about was Discovery Day.

So a lot of people don't know, but Discovery Day was actually born out of an idea from

the Toronto office.

The whole idea was to introduce the new brand to the group; everyone was super excited about

the new logo, the interrobang, and energy behind the brand, and we wanted a way to bring

that to the group.

But we realised that the brand itself is not just the logo, it's also the products and

the services behind it, so we made it into a bigger event to showcase all the good stuff

happening around Pearson.

So in 2018, we wanted to build on the success of Discovery Day, which we had in 2017, and

also socialise the great resources that are on Pearson University under the Workforce

2020 Capabilities.

So, working with our partners in HR, we decided to have a Day of Learning.

It just happened last April, and the Day of Learning was around the future of work and

what employees can do to empower themselves in their own professional development.

So, we had a wide range of speakers, we invited an author, an economist, to come and speak

about the future of work in Canada.

We had a psychologist come and speak about procrastination, or how not to procrastinate,

and we also had some great internal Pearson folks do some great sessions around diversity

and inclusion, also design thinking, sales skills for non-sales people, as well as how

to get the most out of Google suite.

All in all it was a great day.

Again, we had about 300 people attend and the last time we checked, over 95% of them

thought it was a great day and rated it either excellent or better.

Technology is the way forward for education.

I think if we're going to develop and move with the times, we have got to utilise technology

so we can improve.

There are many avenues AI (artificial intelligence) can go in.

I think one of the routes is to think about the different subject disciplines and then

pushing the idea as far as it can go.

Things like problem solving, creativity, those are going to become even more important as

we move to the future.

So artificial intelligence won't replace humans, it will mean our human traits will

need to be even better to work alongside the machines.

How can we use those technologies to supercharge the human efforts that drive learning and

teaching?

So can those technologies be used reduce teachers' workflow, to free them up to understand and

spend more time addressing each child's individual needs, that would be a very powerful application

of AI, whatever we call it.

It's not about creating AI tech that does the job of a teacher, it's about creating

AI tech that helps teachers do their work with less problems, less effort, and help

students to take control of their learning.

So we love Future Skills and we use it a lot; we get our managing director out talking about

it.

One of the problems, though, with Future Skills is that it's based on U.S. and UK jobs data,

so what do we do in a market like Australia?

Well, locally we partnered with a great group called Job Getter to source Australian data

and then a couple of weeks ago we hosted an event at Ernst and Young (EY) with our Managing

Director David Barnett, the CEO of Job Getter, and panelists from EY, specialists in education

talking about some of the issues that our Pearson research raised.

If you want more information, we've posted a link on Neo.Find out about the event, there's

a really great video summary of some of the topics we talked about.

Future Skills is definitely a hot topic here in Australia and we look forward to doing

a lot more work in this space.

I'm really excited to tell you about a new piece of research that we have coming out

in June.

This research builds on our Future Skills work that we released last year.

That research, as you remember, that we did with Oxford and Nesta looked at the future

of work, particularly what the world would look like in 2030, and tried to say what are

the skills that we would most need to be prepared to work.

And that research showed us that the future of work, while it's going to be changing

and jobs might look a little bit different, it's still going to be a good place, it's

going to be place where you can find jobs, where you can find work.

But if you're going to be employable in 2030, you're going to need new skills and

new skill combinations, you're going to need to be a lifelong learner.

So, this new piece of research we have coming out is with a group called Jobs for the Future,

they're a U.S. organisation, they do some great work, particularly in areas of helping

ensure everyone get into employment opportunities and we're looking at this idea of demand

driven education.

Demand driven education is the sort of wave of innovators and employers who are doing

a better job of matching the demands of this new, changing workforce and work system to

make sure that training matches up and that people are able to get the skills that they

need.

So, what we've done with this research is we've interviewed people in the U.S. and

the UK, a bunch of great Pearson experts, including people like Leah Jewell and Steve

Besley.

And what we've highlighted is a list of examples of new practices and opportunities

where people are able to get the sort of training and the development they'll need to be prepared

for the world of work in 2030.

Our Learning Research and Design team has been doing a lot of work thinking about Future

Skills.

Last fall, Pearson released a report looking at predictions about what skills would be

most in demand in 2030.

We worked with a group of economists to predict the demand for future jobs, looking at a variety

of trends, from thinking about technology change, of course, but also political uncertainty,

rising inequality, demographic changes, etc.

Based on those job changes, we can then think about what are the skills that people are

going to need.

And when we look at those top 10 lists, not surprisingly we see lots of things that look

like what our Employability team has already called personal and social capabilities.

So, on the 2030 lists we see things like fluency of ideas, originality of ideas.

Well, those are all related to creativity, which is one of the personal and social capabilities.

So, we can think about what we already have.

From there, my team also wanted to know, what do we know about teaching and assessing these

skills?

So, we did a research literature review on these skills to see what the literature says.

How do we improve these skills?

So, things like collaboration: it turns out just having students do more group work doesn't

actually improve their collaboration skills.

We need to have explicit instruction in those skills and explicit feedback to students in

order for them to actually improve.

So, things like that are in those research reviews and now Amy Burmeister, who is on

the strategy team, and I are leading a working group were we have representatives from 11

different portfolio areas in Pearson.

We started out saying, what do we already have that teach and assess these skills?

Are there things in one part of the company we might be able to use in another part of

the company?

Second, we're going to move to thinking about are there ways to embed teaching and

assessing these skills into products we already have?

And then, finally, we're going to think about are there new products and new opportunities

for us to think about this in new markets potentially.

So, lots of exciting things!

If you're interested in hearing more, please reach out and contact me, I'd love to talk

to you.

Pearson is really in a fortunate position when it comes to thinking about Employability

and what future skills will be needed for people to be successful, both in their personal

as well as their business or career lives.

We conducted the deep research in partnership with several premium universities last year,

to come up with the Workforce 2030 Skills for Employability.

There were a few surprises in there, well not really surprises, but I think it was very

interesting to know that interpersonal skills, services and the hospitality related careers

would be very, very important going forward, in addition to what we already know about

STEM technology, science, etc.

So, I think it's really important for us to think about this and think about how we

embed those softer skills together with the harder skills in our products and services.

There's some headway being made around this area in Pearson already, a lot of our products

and services have employability skills built into them.

But I think that we have space to take it even further.

A good example in Pearson, of course, are the BTECs.

I was in Turkey a couple of months ago and visited a school where they were very passionate

about BTECs and what was really heartwarming about that was that they emphasised the softer

skills.

Softer skills may be the misnomer because some of the skills they were referring to,

which BTEC really got across to the students very effectively, were collaboration, problem

solving, learning to be independent learners, to take control of your own learning journey.

But I think BTEC could be a good indicator of what the future could look like and, taking

a cue from that, we can look at how we build those into our Higher Education ELT and Schools

products, as well as our Assessments.

In my world, English and Schools, we are looking at how we can take those 21st century skills,

as they are sometimes known, and to develop them into some kind of graded curriculum so

that it's easier for people working in product to take some of those skills of collaboration,

problem solving, project-type work further into their products and services.

So, there's a lot more to be done in this area.

I think it's a fascinating area and there's a lot of work already underway in Pearson,

in various parts of Pearson.

In the U.S., we have a dedicated team looking at Employability and in Core and Growth markets,

and with English and Schools, as I said, we're starting to look at it in a more joined up

way and in a more structured way as well, so that we can take account of what's needed.

Amazing, right?!

Thank you so much to all of our wonderful colleagues for sharing their stories around

the future of skills and learning and the work that they are doing.

(Vietsub/Engsub) GFRIEND - Mermaid - Duration: 3:28.

The summer moon is like a jewel on top of the ocean

Likewise, I saw the shining you for the first time

Even if we can't be in love

Even if I can only look at you

Even if the path to you hurts so much

Even if you don't know about me

(I wanna be by your side)

Because I can't go to you, Because I can't say anything

Even if my heart disappears like foam

Oh ocean, ocean, will you remember me?

Will you listen to all the things I wanted to say?

Oh wind, wind, even if he asks about me

The day we first fell in love Oh wind, wind, even if he asks about me

The day we first fell in love

It's a secret that it's me

Even if I can't say a word, I hope he feels it

I hope I'm the girl who can wipe away your sad tears

My touch that melts with the wind

If it can reach you

Please look at me and smile

Tell me you love me Though we can't see each other

(Don't forget me)

Because I can't go to you, Because I can't say anything

Even if my heart disappears like foam

Oh ocean, ocean, will you remember me?

Will you listen to all the things I wanted to say?

Oh wind, wind, even if he asks about me

The day we first fell in love Oh wind, wind, even if he asks about me

The day we first fell in love

It's a secret that it's me

Will you hold me?

Don't leave me alone in the darkness

You came to me in my dream last night

You told me

That you loved me

Oh wind, wind, even if he asks about me

The day we first fell in love Oh wind, wind, even if he asks about me

The day we first fell in love

It's a secret that it's me

The day we first fell in love

I wanna dream about that day as I fall asleep
