I'm really creeped out. Hey guys thank you for tuning in to Amy's Crypt. I'm
really excited because the Sun is setting and I am on my way to
explore a haunted castle location in the south of Wales. There's lots and lots of
creepy little stories to go with this place and I can't wait to get there have
a look around, explore, and do a bit of an investigation. Just rocked up into the
carpark. It looks like there's a lot of nature hiking trails and I'm really
excited because I think I've got a glimpse of the castle just up here.
So I have made it into the castle.Iit is abandoned and in pretty bad shape.
There's no one here which is awesome but it definitely has a creepy vibe. So
come here and check out the creepiest looking part of the castle. I'm not sure
what it is but the way that it's gated off makes it look kind of like a dungeon.
I'm not sure if it was a kitchen or what. It looks like it has fireplaces in it.
You can see the little stalactites on the ceiling as well. Let's head up
here. Unfortunately I don't know what much of the rooms here are but
it looks like the castle might have even gone up higher. There's this gate
here that kind of looks like it has stairs and just behind this wall
looks like remnants of more stairs as well. Candlestone Castle itself is pretty old.
It was built sometime in the 1300s and was last occupied in the early 1900s
but that didn't last too long and then it was abandoned and has fallen
completely into ruin. It has a lot of creepy sort of ghost stories associated
with it. It was thought to be part of the nearby town of Treganlaw. Now no one
really knows what happened to Treganlaw. It like disappeared no one's really sure of
what where it went. They think maybe it was reclaimed by
sand dunes which happened to another nearby town, but there are some traces of
it that had been found, some ruins and some tools, but that is about it.
The main ghost story that centers on Candleston Castle though is related to
something called the Goblin Stone. So, apparently there's a lot of hauntings in
the area where ruins and rocks have been found but there is one Rock known as
the Goblin stone that it is said when people walk past it there is a ghost or
a force nearby that forces them onto their knees into a praying position and
the only way that they can get out of this position is to actually pray. So we
might have a little bit of a look around later and see if we can find that
otherwise there's a lot of paranormal activity that has been reported in this
location. Apparently there's a lot of orbs and light anomalies that people
frequently catch and that happens all throughout the castle ruins, but there's
also sinister looking shadow figures and shadow people that kind of lurk around
the place. So that should be interesting when the sun goes down. So there's a lot
of mysteries around the hauntings and people aren't really sure why they're
there so it'll be really interesting to try and communicate tonight. This place
seems pretty creepy so I think I'll come back here and maybe try Spirit Box. So,
before we completely lose light we're going to venture out into this creepy
looking forrest a little further and see if we can find any weird Goblin looking
stones or any other ruins. It looks like there's another structure here. This
one's really overgrown so I can't really make out much of the shape of what it is
supposed to be but we'll have a look.
It sounds like this someone else out here. Maybe it's an animal, what animals do they have here?

Also the some kind of trail here, a lot of sands and Jarrad has just spotted the sand
dunes over here. It's strange to think there's a lot of sand here right next to
that dense forest, and I'm not exactly sure of its location but that town that
was speculated to be buried by sand dunes is in this vicinity. So we
just found another fairly large wall up here that kind of looks like maybe it
was part of the castle - so maybe the castle is a bit bigger than I first thought,
or it had more surrounding buildings. So what's really quite cool is even though
this place is so deteriorated and in ruin you can see some of the
detailing on this arch up here. So I'm just trying to picture what this place
would have looks lik.e I'm assuming this was another floor above me. You can kind of
see holes here where may have been beams connected through here so this might
have been another floor which connected into this top level which we just were.
and then we've got a couple of fireplaces here
too and I'm not sure about this this part of the building but that might have
been much the same. So we're just walking back up to the castle now that
it's gotten dark I've been waiting in the car for a little while
for the Sun to go down fully. Jarrad just admitted to me that this place scares him.
No I didn't. Oh #$!@#$ off you did too!
I just seen a black shadow just passed by
here. Is it a bird? It was a it was not solid. I didn't see it.
It just flashed across here. So I just seen a strange black mass that passed
by the castle. I have no idea what it was, whether it was something flying past or not but it
was very peculiar, very odd, though. We're about to head to the little upstairs bit
that is still accessible. So I'm gonna go up with the torch because it's pretty
dangerous to get up.
so we just @#$%#! our pants a little bit before someone was standing in this little
crevice but it turns out that it is just this extra piece of wall. I really think this
deer or animals or ghosts or something out there. I can hear them all the time.

You heard footsteps? Yeah. It sounded like it came from out there.

It was a tree branch right? Yeah, I heard a tree branch. Let's just get this Spirit Box done so we can go.
Are you a bit scared? Alright so we keep hearing noises around us. We don't know if
there's animals in the area or there's human sneaking up on us, but
we've just heard something that sounded like a really loud
tree branch snap so it must have had some weight behind it to snap that. So
right now I'm gonna try and do a spirit box session. I'm gonna conduct this in
English. I'm well aware that maybe in spirits here might speak Welsh but I
mean, I definitely can't speak the language so I'm just gonna go with what
I know and see if we can get any responses at all here. Hello, my name is

So I heard a loud metallic rumble. Yeah like a piece of tin wobbling.
Yeah. Should we go have a look? Hello? Oh I just heard it again. Yeah I heard that.
It sounds like it came from behind those trees.
So out last spirit box is interrupted by a strange noise so we've just moved
outside. Kind of closer to the noise but just a different section of the
castle and we'll see if we have any luck out here. What is your family name?

was a lot of noises happening around us coming from the woods, which could have
