Say Hi

Did you just hear it?

I have to read this out loud officially

This album reflects NCT's worldview where everyone empathizes with each other through dreams

and becomes one with the music

The 6th track 'Interlude: Regular to Irregular' guides us from reality world to a dream world

The album is structured well with story telling devices

Tracks 1~5 are more realistic

and tracks 7~11 are more dream-like

So you have to listen to the whole album

We encapsulated everything in the album

So the thing is, it's our first time listening to our recordings

That's the biggest deal

It won't start unless I push the button

Then we will press it

First track, '지금 우리 (City 127)'

It's so good

It's my favorite song

Second track, 'Regular'

It's our title track

Let's listen to the Korean version!

This song is the title track for a reason

It's filled with various sounds

The song has all these sounds

Even though I wasn't the one who recorded it...

It was fun

This is our first time doing Latin trap genre

It has the initial hip-hop vibe we used to do

plus the Latin vibe

And I think that's why we could make this work

It was new to us

Next song

It's the first track we recorded out of this album

Ah, so this it that song...

We recorded this even before our title track

Finally, it came

It's MARK's favorite track

You know we had 1:27 AM ("Back 2 U (AM 01:27)")

But this time it's 1:27PM

I think this was only possible due to our group name that contains numbers

This song is the best when you listen to it at 1:27PM

So you have to wait at 1:26?

Exactly

Smart

It stopped in the midst of it

Many of you might think it's a ballad

But don't let your guard down

Hint: the writers of this song are LDN Noise

HAECHAN, what's the 4th song?

'Knock On'

In the NCT RECORDING DIARY, you could see JUNGWOO singing the 1,2,3,4

This is that song

The song writer asked JUNGWOO to count the beat

But that turned out sounding sweet and mellow

The next song is pretty special

It's NCT 127's first R&B pop ballad

'나의 모든 순간 (No Longer)'

This is the last one from reality

It sounds like an ASMR song

I'm really curious about the next track

When did you do the recording for the narration?

It's the background music form the Yearbook

Now it's changing

That was like a movie

It was like a Hollywood actor

Now we came into our dreams! Finally!

Let's start by falling asleep, everyone

It's a lucid dream!

The 6th track that we have just listened, doesn't end the way it started

This is important because the beginning part represents the 'Regular' part of the album

And we are about to hear how it turns 'Irregular', but we haven't reached there yet

And the change can be felt within the track

This is the real beginning

We are in our dreams. This is our dream

Yes, we came in

It changed totally!

It feels like a totally different track

I have goosebumps

Whoa, really!

We came into the dreams!

Now we will listen to the 7th track, 'My Van'

I like it!

It really feels like we're inside a dream!

This track is called 'My Van'

We made this track with a composer when we were trainees

And luckily, this track fitted well with this album

Even the track titles are 'Irregular'

YUTA will introduce this track

This is a really good track and there is a Japanese version of this track too

Now we will listen to the 10th track, '악몽 (Come Back)'

I think all of our members sang really well for this track

But I think DOYOUNG's unique voice tone really stands out in this track

I really like DOYOUNG's 'Ah~' part

I really like that part too

Yes, that part!

DOYOUNG is really cool

I honestly think like that

Our next song is...

This is my favorite track!

It is titled '신기루 (Fly Away With Me)' (*'Mirage' in Korean)

This title means something that you cannot reach like a mirage

You miss it and you want to touch it but it just lingers in front of you

Do you understand what I'm saying?

I love it!

I really want to listen to the whole track

I think you have to listen accordingly to the track order, from 1 to 11

We are close to finish

I feel sad

We should have recorded more

Can you introduce us the 10th track, JUNGWOO?

I think the language difference between Korean and English

brought the difference in the overall ambiance of the song

Even though they're the same song, it feels different

The 10th track, 'Regular'!

I just heard NCTzen's excitement escalating

Ah! Was it that sound?

I thought it was just the good speakers

There will be music videos for each English and Korean version of the track, so please look forward to it!

And it feels really different!

The next song is...

I think you will all know from just listening

This is a track from our memories

It's a meaningful bonus track

Let's go on listening to it, without further explanation

I think you will all know!

I will feel sad if you don't!

It's okay to not know the track

But if you do know it, that means you have known us since we were SM ROOKIES

Okay, we will listen to the 11th track 'Run Back 2 U'

So this was the reaction video of 'Regular-Irregular' Highlight Medley teasers!

Then let's share what our favorite tracks are

I like 'Regular'!

When I first heard the demo, I thought 'this is it!'

I like 'City 127'

I like 'Replay'

I like 'No Longer'

'나의 모든 순간 (No Longer)'

I just like this album

I like 'Knock On'

I like 'Come Back

I really like it

Because it's cool

How about TAEIL?

I like 'My Van'

The emotions in 'My Van' really...

I really like the Keyboard sound in this track, and the chords

This track is similar to TAEIL's daily life

How about YUTA?

'Run Back 2 U'

Because I have memories with this track

Yes, we were on the rooftop

I feel really chilled when I listen to this track

The wind blows

I think this album is so far the best album yet

I already ordered two albums

Let's shout 'fighting' together

What is the slogan for this album?

'We are not Regular, Irregular' Whoo!

How to: BOX BRAIDS like a Pro - Duration: 6:52.

Hello AE FAM and welcome to Ayo and Ebun Entertainment.

So guys, we have been getting lots of questions about how we make our hair.

In the last video I made, I had Fulani braids on my head.

And we got a lot of messages from people asking us about how we make our hair, how we wash our hair and how is African hair like? And many more questions.

So we decided today that we will give you an insight to how these African hairs are done.

Aren't you guys excited? I am so excited.

And guess what? I have a guest right here with me.

Let's welcome the amazing Ebun. She is right here with me in Lagos, Nigeria.

We would be going to the saloon soon and we would be getting our box braids done.

You'll be seeing the whole process. Like what we use and how they do it.

We don't need to explain. We decided to take you into our world of box braids.

So guys, stay tuned. Subscribe to our channel. Kindly order our AE Dashikis.

They're amazing and it can be worn in all weathers. And also, share this video.

Thank you guys. See you soon. Let's go to the saloon.

So guys, we are in the saloon. Look at my face. I am looking stressed already and we have not even started.

So that is the attachment and she is trying to remove it to make smoother.

Sorry guys, I have a cold. What can I do?

She is combing it to make it smoother. This helps to make the attachment longer and smoother while she is plaiting it.

So, why is this called box braids?

I think it is because the hair is being parted in a rectangular shape. Like a box. And this process can take a long time.

It took about six hours.

But that depends on how plenty your hair is and the size you want to make. Or how big your head is. Like mine.

My head is big. So it takes a longer time.

Some people ask questions like, ''when you're sleeping doesn't the braids remove? '' It doesn't remove.

You sleep and when you wake up, it is still like that. And this hair can last up to one to three months.

It depends on how you maintain it. It can stay for a really long time. It is a really good protective style to make.

As you can see, she's adding another color.

Because we decided to use two colors. You can decide to use one or more colors.

We used black and gold. But my hair looks like Purple here. Hmm...

Maybe it is because of the lighting.

Now,she is using that hot dryer on my head.

She's literally frying my brain and now she's about to boil my brain.

The water is really hot but you really need all this processes so that the hair can look good and sleek.

And it makes it last longer actually.

It's not easy being a female. No pain, No gain!

Also, people ask questions like, '' how do you maintain the hair ? ''

Just cream it you and you can wash it with shampoo too.

And now she's styling my hair with gel.

I'm looking like a beautiful Queen.

And that's the process guys. Let us know if you have more questions to ask.

You can also add more hair accessories.

So guys, we are finally back home after spending years in the saloon.

No pain, no gain.

So, when you stop people on the road and you ask them how this hair is being done and they are not so receptive, don't be shocked.

They have gone through stress. Imagine this. We left the house about 7-8 hours ago and we are just getting home.

And we didn't even stop for some minutes to eat or gist. It took us 8 hours straight to get this hair done.

So that is what goes on behind the scenes to get this hair done.

I am sure a lot of you have heard some people with braids say that, '' It is my hair. ''

Most people will say that because they are trying to avoid explaining to each person every time.

So, it is actually easier to just say , '' Yes, it is my hair. ''

But now, you know the truth because this video contains all the information you need to know about box braids.

I hope some people will not be angry at us for revealing this secret.

Share this video with your friends who are so curious about African box braids.

This video is explanatory to everyone.

And it is so detailed.

But if you still have more questions, let us know in the comment section below.

We would try our best to answer your questions on box braids, African hair texture and any other question that comes to your mind.

So guys, like this video, share it and click the subscribe button below. And get your AE DASHIKI too by contacting us on social media.

We are so tired right now. We just want to drink some warm tea and sleep.

We love you AE Fam.

Have a great week friends and.....Good night. Peace out.

Why the World is Running Out of Pilots - Duration: 11:36.

This video was made possible by Brilliant.

For the longest while airlines treated pilots as a renewable resource.

It was long considered one of the best jobs one could have—to make good money flying

around the world in comfort—but as aviation has become more commonplace the job of pilot

has too become more and more just like any other job.

While in the 50s the job garnered the same respect and pay as a doctor, entering the

industry today earns you not much more than you'd make at a fast food restaurant.

Before a pilot can even perform their first take-off with passengers in the back they

have to get licensed.

Most top airline jobs require or strongly favor those with a college diploma so for

those that want to go all the way in the field they have to start by getting a degree.

The cost of that averages $133,000 in the US and then every aspiring commercial pilot

first needs to get a private pilots license which requires 35 hours of flight-time.

These first bits of flight time, which are with an instructor, typically cost about $140

an hour or $4,900 total.

You also have to take classes which have their own fees so getting a private pilots license

usually costs about $8,000 all in.

To start actually making money as a pilot, though, you need 15 additional hours of instruction

for an instrument rating costing $900 and an additional 215 hours of flight time costing

$23,500.

There are also tons of other smaller costs for books and housing and transportation and

other things which bring the total cost of pilots training to at least $80,000.

Having done all that, having spent $213,000 on education so far, one finally receives

a commercial pilots license but still, at that point, one can't work for most airlines.

To get an Airline Transport Pilot License, the one needed to work for large commercial

airlines by the likes of Delta or KLM or Cathay Pacific, one needs, with some exceptions,

1,500 flight hours.

That would cost an additional $136,000 in rental fees alone if one were to pay for the

flight time themselves so pilots normally let someone else pay for it by working at

a job that doesn't require a full ATP license.

The most common job used to get from 250 to 1500 hours is as a flight instructor but some

also work flying skydiving planes, towing banners, or for airlines flying small single-engine

planes.

Once that's all done, after having been in education continuously for a quarter of

ones life until the age of 23 and having spent hundreds of thousands of dollars one can finally

start flying commercial passenger planes and earning $30,000 a year.

That's a typical and even fair starting salary for a first year first officer and,

considering these individuals often have tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt,

young pilots are often in a tough financial situation.

Most Americans pilots start their commercial careers at regional airlines.

The largest of these is SkyWest airlines which is an airline that flies for other airlines.

You could be flying any of the three major American airlines—Delta, United, or American—and

actually be on a Skywest operated flight.

Skywest, along with other regional airlines, operate all planes for these US airlines with

under 76 seats.

They fly the smallest planes which are actually more expensive on a per passenger basis to

operate than the larger planes.

The regional airlines' primary purpose is to lower cost.

The aviation industry is heavily unionized so the major airlines would never be allowed

to bring in pilots at a yearly salary of twenty or thirty thousand dollars.

Therefore, they contract these regional carriers to operate the small expensive planes so the

crew can be employed at a different pay-scale even if the flights are branded as United

or Delta or American.

While a first year first officer for American Airlines makes $88 per flight hour, a first

year first officer for SkyWest only makes $37.

Pilots are only allowed to fly 900 hours per calendar year in the US which works out to

75 hours per month or about 17 hours per week.

Now, the idea of a 17 hour workweek probably sounds great but these are only the hours

in command of an airborne aircraft.

They don't account for the time it takes to get to the airport, clear security, brief

for the flight, inspect and prep the aircraft, board passengers, deplane passengers, pack

up, file paperwork, and get home or to a hotel.

Pilots are primarily paid based on hours in the air which is why you tend to see the more

senior pilots flying the longer routes.

A typical four-day trip for a regional pilot in the US might see them flying on Monday

from Minneapolis to Fargo, Fargo to Minneapolis, Minneapolis to Pittsburgh, then Pittsburgh

to Boston where they would stay overnight.

The next day, Tuesday, they would fly from Boston to Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh to Boston,

and Boston to Nashville.

After an overnight they would fly Nashville to Boston, Boston to Jacksonville, and Jacksonville

to Boston.

Finally, on Thursday, they would fly from Boston to Norfolk and then Norfolk to Minneapolis.

Over that four day, twelve leg trip they would be in the air for just over 19 hours.

That regional pilot would have been almost constantly either working, sleeping, or eating.

Compare that to a long-haul pilot flying an a330.

They would leave Atlanta on a Monday night, fly to Amsterdam arriving Tuesday morning,

and fly back Thursday after having had a full 48 hours free in Amsterdam.

On that trip the pilot would have accumulated 16 flight hours—not all that different from

the hours that the regional pilot gained after working constantly for four days.

It's no wonder why the most senior pilots, who have the seniority to decide which type

of plane and routes they fly, almost always go for the long-haul routes.

Meanwhile, while the young pilots don't get paid much and work tougher schedules,

the advantage for them of working for these regional airlines is that they can gain the

experience and hours needed to get a job at a more desirable airline.

The problem that the airline industry if facing is that not enough people are willing to put

themselves through all the years of expensive training, low pay, and long hours to get to

the stage where they make good money and fly the most interesting routes.

There is a shortage of pilots but it's hard to know how bad this shortage is—some say

it's a myth, others will say it's already chronic—but by one estimate the US alone

will have 1,600 pilot jobs unfilled by 2020.

While the problem is only predicted to get worse, the shortage of pilots is already having

consequences.

Emirates Airlines denies having any pilot shortage but the reality is that in April

2018 they flew 36 777's and 10 a380's over to Dubai World Central Airport, a less

busy airport than the main Dubai airport, and left those airplanes there on the ground

for months because there just weren't enough pilots to fly them.

The concerning thing is, Emirates pilots are some of the best paid in the industry.

Even young Emirates pilots make more than $200,000 a year and, thanks to local laws,

that's tax-free income.

Emirates has come under criticism for long work hours, insufficient rest periods, and

minimal pilot staffing for their longest haul flights which is likely a contributing factor

to their difficulty in attracting pilots but, if they're having trouble recruiting pilots

while paying so much that's not a great sign for the industry.

These high salaries from some airlines are also a contributing factor to the shortage

in the US and Europe, though.

The UAE is a small country with two massive airlines so they rely on recruiting foreign

pilots.

China, while not a small country, also doesn't have enough local pilots to staff their tremendously

fast growing airline industry.

The country's airlines therefore pay a starting salary of $312,000 per year to foreign pilots

and some make up to $500,000.

While working conditions are tough, it's still no wonder why 10% of all pilots in China

are now foreigners.

With more and more pilots heading overseas to the best paying pilot jobs the US, Europe,

and other western countries are left with fewer and fewer people to fly their planes.

The short-term solution for airlines in the US has been to fast track pilots through the

early phase of their careers flying small jets for low pay and get more pilots flying

the larger planes earlier.

That leaves the brunt of the impact of this shortage on small towns served by these small

planes.

US airlines especially, thanks to the country's vastness, operate with route networks emphasizing

service to small airports.

Rather amazingly, there are 553 airports in the US with commercial service.

United is perhaps the most focused among the big three US airlines on small town service

with 235 domestic destinations but, due to the lack of pilots, it's having to cancel

routes.

In September 2018 alone the airline stopped service from Chicago to Willard, Illinois,

Mobile, Alabama, and Manchester, New Hampshire even though these routes were likely profitable.

United isn't alone in this.

Horizon Air, the subsidiary operating Alaska Airlines' regional flights, had to cancel

thousands of flights in 2017 due to a severe lack of pilots.

There are a couple of possible solutions to this crisis.

The most obvious one is to increase pay and to improve working conditions but, from the

airlines' perspectives, that's the last-ditch solution as they focus on their bottom lines.

While it's tough to sympathize with these billion dollar businesses losing some money

as a result of paying a more livable wage, the reality is that if they're having to

pay more for the pilots to serve small towns it's going to cost more to fly to small

towns and those living in small towns are often the ones least able to pay.

Another commonly proposed solution is to attract more women pilots.

Only 6.7% of the world's pilots are female and so, by putting more effort into recruiting

that half of the population airlines could potentially increase pilot numbers without

increasing pay.

More and more airlines, such as Lufthansa and Emirates, are also operating up their

own flights schools where cadets can train for reduced rates or for free as long as they

end up working at the airline.

Airlines are also working to reduce the number of pilots needed.

Emirates, for example, reduced the number of pilots it uses on some of its longest flights.

On the 13 hour flight from Dubai to Sydney, for example, they now only staff three pilots

instead of four which means that each only gets four hours of inflight rest instead of

six.

Finally, one of the more controversial proposals to fix this issue has been to increase automation

in the cockpit to the point where only one or possibly zero pilots are needed to fly.

This proposal has met criticism from pilots, cabin crew, and the public alike as many opponents

point out that the cockpit is already highly automated and the pilot's main role is to

troubleshoot if things go wrong.

Nonetheless, with captains of wide-body planes earning more than $300 per flight hour the

cost of crewing the cockpit can be as much as $19,000 each way on the longest flights

like San Francisco to Singapore so there's certainly financial pressure on airlines to

cut down the need for pilots if they can.

There are thousands of people who become pilots each year but there are millions more who

want to become pilots.

To bring more people into the industry all airlines need to do is to lower the extraordinarily

high barrier to entry since as the industry grows worldwide, the allure of the skies won't

be enough to get enough pilots into the cockpit.

If you want to become a pilot two of the major things you absolutely need to have a solid

grasp of are math and physics.

Brilliant is a great place to learn those two subjects since their courses break down

concepts into their intuitive principles and build them back up so you don't just memorize

how do something, you understand it.

They also have plenty of other courses on super interesting subjects like logic, probability,

astronomy, machine learning, and more.

They really put a lot of work into perfecting each and every course they have and best of

all, you can sign up for Brilliant at brilliant.org/Wendover and access some courses for free then, by

Or, "Just remember you're mine."

How to Make an easy Quilters Planner/Journal Cover - Duration: 13:57.

hi I am welcome to Darvanalee Designs Studio my name's Nicole Reed thank you

very much for joining me today and for those that are new here hit that

subscribe button and the little bell icon beside it and that way you won't

miss out on any future posts so you might be wondering what I'm going to be

making this week well this week I had my quilters plan to come in as most people

here in Australia are just starting to receive that and I decided that I was

going to get some of my Tallulah pink fabric that I've been hoarding and

actually make a cover for it and um the measurements that I'm going to use today

will fit your quilters planner but the technique that I'm using to get those

measurements you can use for any diary or any journal that you want to make it

for I'm even making one for the mini quilters planner that I pop into my

handbag so I've got you know my swatches of fabric and all that sort of stuff

last year it got damaged so this year I'm going to be on top of it and I'm

going to get make a cover so they'll be both matching and everything that I make

on here is out of the Tallulah pink except for the lining so let's get

started okay so I have written up all the instructions and all the

measurements that you need and they're over on our blog I'll put a link down

below where you can find that there are a few other things that you're going to

need today you're going to need some wonder Clips a tape measure some pins a

ruler a pair of scissors a rotary cutter a choker pen and a walking foot if your

machine doesn't have built-in one you're also going to need some fusible fleece

some shape flex 101 your quilters planner and that is about all you're

going to need today so we're going to get started on making our cover for our

quilters planner so basically off-camera I've actually

done a few things I've got the fusible fleece and I've attached that to the

outside what is going to be the outside of my planner and I've also put the fuse

the shape flex 101 or violin soft in on and I've put that to the lining and I've

also put the violin on to the flaps which will go over the cover of our

planner so you're going to need two of those

okay so you're gonna take your tape measure and you're going to line it up

on the front cover on the edge and then you're going to take the measurement all

the way around including the ringbinder part of the planner and you're going to

measure it around to the other side and it works out to be 19 and a half so

again I'll just show you how to do that again you just plop it on here you can

use a 1/2 clip to hold your tape in place if you need to okay I've got a

really long one today so it's sliding around on me okay so basically you just

wrap it around and you come around to the other side on the back and that ends

up being nine nineteen and a half okay so what we're going to do is we're

actually going to add three quarters of an inch on to that so that will give you

a measurement of 20 and a quarter inches then what we're going to do is so we

write that measurement down and then we're going to take a measurement from

the top edge to the bottom edge of our planner and it works out to be just on

ten inches and we're going to again add three quarters of an inch to that so

that will become ten and three quarters for our pockets or the flaps so whether

the cover goes into the journal cover we're going to take a measurement now I

took a measurement a measurement of seven inches okay so it's just going to

stop just about there okay and that's enough of it to be in there to hold it

on so then what we do is we've taken that seven inches and we're going to

double that to give us 14 inches and then we're going to add three quarters

of an inch on to that as well so that is going to give us a measurement of

fourteen and three quarters and then you're going to have the measurement of

ten and three quarters for the height of it so what will happen with that is we

write those measurements down and that's what I've done over here I've got my

lining which is measuring the same as my exterior which was

20 and a quarter by 10 and 3/4 and my flaps which I've created here are 14

inches by 10 and 3/4 and as you can see I've put the interfacing on them and I

folded them in half and given them a press and they'll just get added just

like so you're also going to need something to tie it with and okay so

I've just created with my leftovers I've created a couple of ribbons so to speak

made out of the same fabric so all you do with those is just fold them in half

lengthwise and then bring your raw edges into that crease as you can see here and

then give it a good press fold it over on itself and then you'll just top

stitch that close and they will become our ribbons and they measure 2 inches by

14 inches and then we've also got some binding because we'll end up with a bit

of a raw edge so these are 7 inches by 2 inches as well and you'll need 2 of

those and they just fold it in half like so and I'll show you how to put them on

in a moment all right so we can take our for our quilters planner away for now

and now we're going to start on the quilting so you're going to take your

lining fabric and you're fused exterior fabric now I've just used fusible fleece

on mine can use wadding or you can use physical fleece it's that's entirely up

to you so we're going to place them wrong sides together and we're going to

get a couple of pins and pin that in place now I'm not too fussed about about

my quilting here I'm just going to be doing some straight line quilting and

all I'm going to do is grab my quilting ruler and my choco pen now if you're

concerned in any way about your quilting or anything like that you can make this

piece bigger and then cut it down I didn't want to do that I've just left it

as it is and basically all I'm going to do is get my this is a 1 inch ruler and

all I'm going to do is starting from the corner no measuring just going to make

some marks

and as you can see that's how easy it is these choco pens are great for this they

just they've got the little wheel and they just go along and this is just um

yeah like I'm pretty rough with my my diary it's always been picked up and

transported and moved and thrown into bags and stuff like that so I just um

want to make sure that the quilting that I'm doing on it will actually hold up so

I'm just going to do a crosshatch design today and as you can see it's that easy

I'm not to stress about the math behind the the crosshatch or anything like that

I'm just using the one inch ruler and just sliding that along aligning on each

mark that I make okay and now what I'm going to do is spin it around and go the

other way so again just lining it up and these

lines just become the guide for me when I start stitching and I'm just going to

do straight-line stitching I'm not going to get too hectic on the the quilting

side of things just trying to make it nice and simple a nice quick project and

the beauty about this you can reuse this a year after year so there you go as you

can see that's just going to give me that diamond effect I can't bring it up

a little bit closer and you can see the marks there so now what I'm going to do

is I'm actually just going to lengthen my stitch up to a three on my machine

that will depend totally on your machine and what you want to lengthen that up

too but I like to have my stitches very defined and lengthened for when I'm

quilting and then I'm just going to pin it all together with my lining and my my

exterior fabric or pinned together and then I'm just going to follow those

lines using them as a guide and I'm not even to stress about how many pins I put

in because it's only a small piece and I know that it's not going to go anywhere

making sure that everything is nice and smooth and I know that it will quilt up

quite nicely so I'm going to head off and do that okay so we've quilted all of

our panel and you can see there I've just used a white thread on mine and

it's got that crisscross happening so now what we're going to do is

assemble our journal cover so you want to find the center of your panel with

the right sides up you just want to fold it in half it's probably the easiest way

to do it and then what you're going to do is you're just going to place one of

your ties in place and you can use your pin or your wonder clips for that and

I've just top stitched these clothes as you can see here all the way down so

making sure that your raw edges are all lining up pop them into place

then what you're going to do is you're going to go and get your flaps that

you've attached your fusible interfacing to and you're going to press them in

half and that's going to give you a nice clean edge on this side and leave your

raw edges over here so again aligning all of your raw edges and then clip into

place and repeat with the opposite side

okay and then what you're going to do is you're going to get your little binding

strips and you're going to align your raw edges and again you're going to clip

them into place at the top and also at the bottom and these measure two inches

wide by about seven inches minor okay so now that that's all in

place what we're going to do is we're going to sew a quarter inch seam

allowance all the way around our journal cover making sure that you where you

start you reverse and when you finish you reverse as well and that'll just

make it nice and secure okay so there we go we've pressed it all made sure that

it was all out I've put a little bit of glue on here just to hold them down

until I'm ready to bind that which I'll do a little bit later but you don't need

to see that today and basically now it's ready to go onto our quilters planner

and I'll just grab that and I'll show you how it goes on so you just slide

your cover into the flaps that we created and you will have to wiggle it a

little bit but it'll go in

making sure it's gone all the way to the end so you'll have to slide that in

there so that's the front cover and now to put the back one on again you just

bend it up and slide it into there and it'll just slide in there okay

making sure that you go all the way to the end now if it feels a little bit

tight it just means that you haven't gone out of the way the end so you can

see there my back cover hasn't gone and it's bent over so it's not going to

close properly it'll still close but you'll feel it a little bit tight so

you'll just have to give it a bit of a wiggle to get it to go in and that's

gone all the way in now and that's it now covers done so I'll bind that bow

and do the last bit of the binding and you've got your ribbons there to match

and tie them in a bow and then that's ready for when the new year rolls around

we're ready to go and as I said earlier you can do this with any journal cover

any diary basically if you follow those techniques you'll end up getting the

correct measurements that you need and then you will have a beautiful cover for

any diary that you have I'm gonna now head off and repeat that with the mini

so it doesn't get damaged like it did last year and I'll have two matching

gorgeous little journals one for my handbag and and one for in the office

well thank you very much for joining me today I hope you really enjoyed this

little tutorial on how to cover your quilters plan a journal for 2019 I would

love to see your creations and your take on it there's a link down below for our

Facebook group where you can upload your photos or ask any questions I'm always

about in there and if not one of the moderators will be if you like this

future posts my name's Nicole Reed for Darvanalee Designs Studio and I'll see

10 Expensive Fish That Can Make You Rich - Duration: 6:35.

10 Most Expensive Fish In The World.

Number 10.

The Clarion Angelfish is named for one of the most beautiful islands off the Pacific

coast of Mexico, part of the Revillagigedo Islands.

It can be found there and often around the more remote island of Clipperton.

Priced at $2,500, these fish are brilliantly colored and highly sought after.

They have been kept in captivity for about 40 years, but they are rarely found on the

market.

This is due in part to the fact that you must have a special permit from the Mexican Government

to collect them.

Number 9.

Found off the waters of Japan this little beauty reaches an average size of approximately

6 inches.

It is one of the hardiest of the Butterflyfish family, but also one of the least owned due

to its price tag.

The average home aquarist doesn't usually spend over $2,000 for one fish.

There are very few of them found in North American collections as the majority of them

are bought by Asian collectors.

Priced at $2,700, they are very active swimmers, which make them fun to watch in an aquarium

as they zip from one side to the other.

They are named after their coloring, a dusky greyish black with bright yellow accents.

Number 8.

This super rare fish goes for as high as $5,000 when available.

Found in the waters of Australia, it's very difficult to catch darting out of the shelter

of rocks only for food and quickly darting back.

They prefer live food like ghost shrimp and plenty of rocks to hide under, but if given

proper conditions, it will display itself adequately for onlookers.

Its vivid stripes and colors make it a gorgeous addition to any aquarium.

Number 7.

This stunning fish is almost never available for purchase, so when it is, collectors clamor

for it paying upwards of $6,000.

It's a deep water fish, presenting many challenges in collecting it, including the need for the

divers to rise slowly to allow decompression not only for themselves but for the specimens

they collected.

Very few are found in shallow enough waters that allow them to be caught.

Juvenile groupers coloration tends to differ drastically from that of full grown adults.

The juvenile Neptune Grouper displays brilliant shades of yellow and orange, while the adult

displays a brilliant pink coloration with bright yellow bands.

Number 6.

One of the smallest members of the grouper family, these fish are found in both the Pacific

and Atlantic.

Although hardy, and able to adapt to captivity, it's rare to see this fish for sale.

They have to be collected using a deep-sea submersible craft, which accounts for the

exorbitant price tag of $8,000.

This little fish is very shy in captivity as well as in the wild so even though you

may shell out some hefty clams for this golden beauty, you may not see it all that often

in your tank.

Number 5.

This cute little guy goes for as much as $10,000.

Its name comes from the funny blade-like dorsal fin.

Found mostly in the Caribbean with coloring ranges from vivid orange to white.

Quirky with a good deal of personality, this fish is definitely on collector's lists due

to its rarity.

It only reaches a size of approximately 1.5 inches and is considered a deep water reef

fish, which accounts for the difficulty in collecting specimens.

Imagine finding something so tiny, so deep down and then having to catch it?

It's no surprise that seeing these fish for sale is a rare occurrence.

Number 4.

Collectors have offered as much as $30,000 for this very exotic fish.

In 2012, there was only one available for public viewing.

It was found at the Waikiki Aquarium having been captured by a Smithsonian Institute research

expedition.

It's a deep water fish, which accounts for the rareness of encountering these beautiful

fish.

The average diver does not go to those depths.

The fish is striking with stripes of red and white hence its name.

Since 2012 they have been in high demand by private collectors wishing to add something

rare and exotic to their aquariums.

Number 3.

This particular fish has a unique genetic mutation on the front of its head causing

it to look u-shaped instead of round, which is normal for rays.

Currently it's one of the most expensive aquarium fish in Taiwan with a price tag of $100,000.

Interestingly enough this particular stingray would never be able to survive in the wild

as it can't hunt the shellfish it eats with its misshapen head.

In captivity, it must be fed from hand to survive.

Number 2.

Platinum arowana has a value of approximately $400,000.

It is so valuable that a micro ID chip is implanted into it before it reaches sexual

maturity to help identify and authenticate it.

The color is the result of a very rare genetic mutation.

In captivity they require at least a 300 gallon tank with plenty of live food such as crickets

and worms.

They can reach a size of about 35 inches and they can live for more than 50 years.

They are intelligent with the ability to recognize individuals and they can be trained to be

hand-fed.

Number 1.

A piece of art, some of these fish can be worth Millions.

A 76-cm (30-in) long ginrin showa koi, which won supreme championship in nationwide Japanese

koi shows in 1976, 1977, 1979 and 1980, was sold two years later for 17 million yen (then

$80,000).

In today's currency, that value is around $2.2 million.

In March 1986 this ornamental carp was acquired by Derry Evans (UK), owner of the Kent Koi

Centre near Sevenoaks, Kent, UK for an undisclosed sum, but the 15-year-old fish died five months later.

It has since been stuffed and mounted to preserve its beauty.

Signs That You've Become A Toxic Gamer - Duration: 5:54.

Nothing compares to coming home after a long day of work, grabbing a cold one, and booting

up your video game platform of choice…until your teammate starts cursing you out for no

good reason, of course.

"Jim, are you using the mp40 or the 44?"

"Um, sniper rifle?"

"Sniper rifle?"

"What?

Are you playing for the other team?"

"Jim!

You can't...You don't snipe in Carrington!"

Do you have a friend or loved one that suffers from being a total jerk-and-a-half?

Well, he or she might just be a toxic gamer.

And if you find yourself regularly fragging your teammates for a laugh, or busting out

the ol' tea set every now and again, then guess what?

You might be one too.

You're a fanboy

Let's face it: the internet is lousy with fanboys, and fangirls.

From your garden-variety anime Otaku to your Whovian extraordinaire, if it exists, chances

are it has a dedicated fandom somewhere out in the interwebs.

Still, there's nothing inherently wrong with fanboy-ism.

That is, until you apply it to video games.

In the gaming world, a fanboy is almost like a soldier who's been enlisted by their favorite

console to go to war.

And every platform has its own brand of fanboy who champions their favorite brand above all

others.

It's all part of a nonsensical war between gamers, and none of it is constructive.

The truth is, if you write all other platforms off, you're missing a lot of great games.

And you're helping further the narrative that gamers are immature.

It's a really ugly look, you guys.

"The conclusion is that, uhhh… you're ugly."

"Shoot!"

You talk down to teammates

There are a lot of gamers who look back fondly on the birth of Xbox Live's voice chat feature.

"Dude, they can hear me, and I can hear them!"

"Grasshopper's got his Xbox communicator and so does Road Hog and Oil Slick.

And anyone else who's playing can use one too!"

Fast forward to the present day, and you might be wondering why players don't speak up in

games anymore.

Well, the answer's simple: voice chat has become toxic.

And people who talk down to their teammates are a big part of the problem.

This is most prominent in competitive games like Overwatch.

It's not uncommon for teammates to get on one another's case about the characters they

choose, their play style, or both.

Those who just want to play and have fun will inevitably mute chat and opt out of using

a headset altogether.

And we can't blame them.

There's a reason we play video games, and it's not so we can experience bootcamp without

leaving the sanctity of our living rooms.

Oh well.

At least gamers don't talk like those guys in cringy scripted multiplayer demos.

"Ooooh, there are a lot of Scars down there.

Aw, the Scars have a heavy."

"'Bout time to use that mortar."

You rage quit on the reg

In most video games, quitting isn't that big a deal.

In a Madden game, for instance, you're typically playing a one-on-one matchup, and your opponent

quitting nets you the win you were probably going to get anyway.

Where quitting becomes a problem is in games with many players, where the loss of a teammate

or opponent can make the rest of the game, or even getting into a new game, a torturous

affair.

In games with 4-on-4 multiplayer like Destiny 2, having a teammate drop out of a game you're

losing makes snagging a comeback an even steeper uphill climb.

Or, take for instance Friday the 13th: Everyone wants to play as Jason.

Unfortunately, there can be only one.

This leads to players backing out of games until they can play as the villain, slowing

the matchmaking process down for everyone else.

Have some honor.

If you start a game, finish it, if not for yourself, then for the other players rounding

out your experience.

You're a griefer

According to the Oxford Dictionary, which does, indeed, have a definition for this,

a griefer is "a person who harasses or deliberately provokes other players or members in order

to spoil their enjoyment."

These are players who enter into online play not to accomplish anything substantial, but

instead, to get on the nerves of those who have logged on to have fun.

If you've ever wound up with a griefer in your game, you're well aware of what these

people are out to do.

They're the players in Elite: Dangerous who worked to interfere with the final space voyage

of a terminally ill cancer patient.

Or invaded the Minecraft server of a nine-year-old kid.

When it comes to toxic gamers, griefers are the worst of the worst.

If you derive your happiness by making other players miserable, you're one of them.

And you're objectively a bad person.

Shame on you.

We award you no points.

"And may God have mercy on your soul."

You file false reports

Being good at a video game is a double-edged sword.

With victory comes undeniable glory, but some people are just sore losers, and they won't

hesitate to accuse you of cheating or even report you for your alleged shenanigans.

"But I didn't do anything!

I didn't do ANYTHING!!"

The kicker?

There's nothing you can do about it, even if you're totally innocent on all counts.

Xbox Live in particular is ripe for abuse on this front, and the worst part is that

some games herd players with multiple reports together: think of it as a bad place for bad

players to do bad things to one another.

This makes it harder for you to matchmake, all because you were better at a video game

than someone else.

If you've ever reported someone for cheating just because you lost, you're only adding

to the toxic environment so prevalent in games today.

Please stop.

You harass developers

Spewing an endless barrage of obscenities at your teammates is one thing: taking out

your pent-up, juvenile rage on the devs who put their blood, sweat, and tears into making

the games you love is a whole 'nother.

It's not constructive criticism, it's bullying, regardless of any good intentions.

"Am I wrong?"

"No, you're not wrong."

"Am I wrong?"

"You're not wrong, Walter, you're just an a--hole."

Look, we get it: gamers are a passionate bunch, and they've never exactly shied away from

voicing their opinions, especially when that good old-fashioned mob mentality sets in.

But trolling creators for literally no good reason, rallying the troops to wreak havoc

across social media platforms, and even barraging developers with death threats is no way to

get a point across.

In the end, all it does is ruin everybody's day and make gamers look like mindless jerks.

Sooo, thanks for that.
