Waching daily May 1 2017

Hello I'm Daven Hiskey, you're watching the Today I Found Out YouTube channel.

In the video today, we're looking at that time the MI6 used s*m*n as invisible ink…

The British Secret Intelligence Service, better known to the world as MI6 (Military Intelligence,

Section 6), is, rather oddly for a supposedly secretive agency, one of the better known

intelligence services in the world.

While the work MI6 does today is top-secret, thanks to the wonders of the Freedom of Information

Act, we're able to peer into the mysterious agency's beginnings and marvel at all the

humourous things they did in their early days in the name of protecting British interests-

like the time they told agents to use their own s*m*n as ink when sending secret messages.

We should probably mention at this point that the head of the agency telling the agents

to do this was the aptly named Mansfield Smith-Cumming...

We can't make this stuff up.

The history of MI6 can be traced back to 1909 where a precursor to the agency was set up

by the British government to investigate German citizens who were increasingly being accused

of being spies by the paranoid public.

(In fact, there was a growing sentiment that pretty much all German born individuals in

Britain were spies.)

As mentioned, the head of this fledgling agency, then known as the Secret Service Bureau, was

one Mansfield Smith-Cumming, a legendary figure in British military history, famed as much

for his eccentricities as he was for his accomplishments as the first director of MI6.

Smith-Cumming, or "C" as he was affectionately known during his tenure as director (originally

standing for "Cumming", rather than "Chief" as it does today when referring to an MI6

director), was formerly a royal navy captain who suffered from severe seasickness...

As you might imagine, this ultimately resulted in him being deemed unfit for service.

As to why he was chosen to head up the new spy agency, this seems to have been primarily

due to his impressive intelligence gathering background.

For instance, in his post-naval captain career, he was once tasked with gathering certain

information while posing as a German businessman in Germany and the Balkans.

Why's that impressive?

He reportedly succeeded in his mission despite not being able to speak a word of German.

As to the spy organisation he led, in the beginning they were less James Bond and more

a sort of Monty Python caricature of spying; bumbling buffoonery and gathering false intelligence

and presenting it as fact become a staple of MI6.

For example, prior to World War 1, C's foremost weapons expert disappeared for a time while

abroad.

Perhaps captured by some foreign power?

Nope- the agent couldn't find anyone who could give him directions in English and ultimately

became thoroughly lost.

On another occasion, C was reportedly fooled by a phony document stating that German spies

had extra rows of teeth.

He also once spent a considerable amount of the Agency's scant resources searching Britain

for a hidden cache of German weapons that simply didn't exist.

One notable "victory" C achieved in these early days was a comprehensive file he compiled

on Zeppelins.

Apparently none of his superiors realised that all the information was publicly available

at the time.

All C did was have it translated from German to English; this report was hailed as a major

victory for the British intelligence agency.

When the First World War broke out, the Secret Service Bureau was overhauled and rebranded

as MI6, not that anyone publicly knew.

At this time, the British Government still denied that it existed.

As you might imagine, the agency being a secret made it hard to get good applicants.

When potential new agents were identified, C had a novel way of interviewing them without

giving away that he worked for a shadowy government agency.

In short, a key facet of the selection process was the gold monocled director suddenly stabbing

himself in the leg.

You see, in 1914 C lost his leg during a traffic collision in France which tragically claimed

the life of his son.

While hospital reports indicate that his leg was amputated the day after the accident,

C himself liked to claim that he cut it off himself with a pen-knife in order to be able

to get to his dying son.

At other times, he'd say he lost it in a fight with a wild animal.

After the accident, C mostly got around with the aid of a wooden leg and a sword (hidden

inside of a cane).

In any event, C would interview potential agents pretending he worked for a more mundane

facet of the government.

With the process moving along at a slothful pace, in true Monty Python-skit fashion, without

warning, he'd suddenly violently stab himself in his covered wooden leg mid-conversation.

If the person flinched, the interview was over and the individual was asked to leave.

(Akin to the old "two for flinching tactic"...)

The flinchers clearly weren't secret agent material.

If they kept their composure, he'd reveal the true nature of the interview.

(C apparently found the reactions he sometimes got from doing this so amusing that he reportedly

also used to do it during regular state meetings.)

So where does s*m*n come into this?

Well, like any respectable spymaster, C was very interested in covert communication- in

particular invisible ink.

However, a key problem was that most fluids that could function as an invisible ink and

the methods that could be used to reveal them were widely known.

To solve the problem, in 1915 C approached scientists at London University and tasked

them with discovering a new type of invisible ink.

According to C's own diaries, though, s*m*n's use as an invisible ink wasn't discovered

by anyone at the university.

Instead, one of his agents, whose name is omitted from his diary for obvious reasons,

made the breakthrough.

After investigation, it really did turn out that, along with being a substance readily

available to any male agent, when exposed to the usual detection methods of the time,

such as iodine vapour, letters penned with s*m*n as ink refused to surrender their contents.

C was apparently thrilled to learn of this use for s*m*n, allegedly quipping that "now

every man has his own stylo".

An altered version "every man his own stylo" was adopted by the agents as their motto for

a time.

Despite making a discovery that allowed British agents to communicate covertly, the agent

who discovered this was so teased by other agents after the fact that he had to be moved

to a different department.

Understandably, the use of s*m*n to pen secret messages led to some hilarious exchanges,

such as one between an agent in Copenhagen called Major Holme and C's subordinate,

Frank Stagg.

In the message, Stagg was forced to tell Holme that "a fresh operation was necessary for

each letter" after people in his office began complaining that all Holme's letters

stank.

You see, Major Holme had decided to stock up a large supply of "ink" in an inkwell so

he didn't need to do what was necessary to get fresh "ink" every time he wanted to send

a secret letter.

So to sum up, during the First World War, actual British spies had a meeting with a

one-legged, gold-monocled, cane-sword carrying guy called Captain Cumming, during which he

enthusiastically told them they needed to start using their own s*m*n as an invisible

ink- requiring that anytime they needed to send a secret message, they had to masturbate

immediately before doing so...

Bonus Facts: • According to Ian Flemming, the original

author of the James Bond series, the eccentric quartermaster, M, is based on Mansfield-Cumming.

(Incidentally, Flemming also wrote Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.)

Also, the name "James Bond" is actually that of an ornithologist.

Originally, Fleming wanted James bond to be a boring, ordinary man who happened to experience

some extraordinary things.

He knew about an ornithologist named James Bond from Bond's book, Birds of the West

Indies, which he had read in his youth and thought the author's name was one of the

most boring names he'd ever heard.

Thanks to Flemming, the boring name soon became rather exciting.

Mrs. Ornithologist Bond actually sent Fleming a letter thanking him for using the name.

Hair Oil For Hair Fall/Hair Growth/ Healthy, Thick & Smooth Black Hair - Ayurvedic Herbal Oil - Duration: 3:41.

hey guys I am Nisa Homey and welcome back

to my channel today I am sharing an

Ayurvedic hair oil for healthy, thick,

shiny, and smooth hair this herbal oil

will improve the health of your hair

helps to reduce grey hair, reduce dryness

of the scalp and after applying it two

to three times a week you will start to

notice considerable difference in the

health of your hair I make this hair oil

often for my daughter when she goes

back to hostel from home. So let's get

started with the recipe, in a plate I

have already added two fresh amla's or

Indian gooseberry which is known as

"nellika" in Malayalam 5-6 sprigs

of curry leaves and add in a

small handful of shallots which is also

known as "cheriya ulli "in Malayalam. Now

with a grater I am grating the Amla.

Amla is an excellent hair tonic it's a

natural conditioner, helps to reduce hair

fall and grey hair it also encourages

strong and healthy hair growth Amla is

the richest source of vitamin C. The

vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients

present in Amla increases scalp

circulation strengthens hair follicles

and stimulate new hair growth. Amla also

helps to renew pigmentation in the hair

and makes it darker and thicker and thus

it helps to reduce greying

The anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial

properties helps with dandruff and other

scalp conditions. Now grate the shallots

or cheriya ulli also. Small onions improve

blood circulation and strengthens the

hair. Shallots helps to nourish hair,

prevents hair loss, and dandruff. Move the

grated Amla and shallots to one side of

the plate. Wash the curry leaves

thoroughly and then remove it from the

stem and spread it out on the plate

curry leaves has essential nutrients

required for healthy hair growth they

are rich in antioxidants and amino acids

which are essential for hair fall

prevention. Now, shade-dry this for 3 to 4

days you can also cover it with a thin

clothe to prevent dust.

once everything is dried you can hear

the rustling sound of the dried curry

leaves and if the Amla and the shallots

are sticking to the plate, just scrape it

out. Now let's make the herbal oil I am

using one cup of coconut oil and into an

iron pan add in coconut oil and once the

oil starts to heat add the dried

ingredients since there are no moisture

in the ingredients it will get fried up

very fast

stir it and immediately switch off the

flame I like to keep it in the same pan

to allow it to cool down completely as

it will help the ingredients to get

seeped into the oil and once it has

cooled down completely pour it into a

glass container through a strainer use

this oil to massage your hair and scalp

two to three times a week allow the oil

to stay on your hair for at least 20 to

30 minutes and then rinse it with mild

shampoo. This oil can be stored at room

temperature for months so make sure that

you cover it with a tight lid and it is

best to use a glass container for

storing than using a plastic container

Do try this Ayurvedic homemade herbal

oil and share your experience with me if

you are new to my channel make sure you

ISOLATION CHAMBERS HEALING FOR THE MIND & SOUL HAVE YOU EVER EXPERIENCED THIS - Duration: 5:21.

ISOLATION

CHAMBERS HEALING FOR THE MIND & SOUL.

HAVE YOU EVER EXPERIENCED THIS

BY JEFF ROBERTSAPRIL

The sensory deprivation tank, also known as an isolation chamber, is a modern day relaxation

therapy that has been gaining widespread attention for its remedial and healing benefits for

the mind and soul.

Drawing upon meditation theory, it forces the participant to let go of all external

sensory stimuli to focus on the infinite universe that is within.

The tank is filled with water that is harmonized to the same temperature as the surface of

the skin.

Heavily salted with Epsom salt, the water is extremely dense, allowing the person to

float on their backs with their nose and mouth above the water.

The participant enters the tank nude, and because of the precisely correlated temperature

of the water and the skin, the person is led to feel as though they are floating in mid-air.

Neither light nor sound can enter the chamber, which means the person is completely cut off

from outward sensory stimuli and, after relaxing into the environment, is absorbed into a concentrated

mediation.

The environment allows for the person to easily slip into an altered state of consciousness,

and with practice through successive sessions, users report being able to explore deeper

and deeper aspects of their psyche and consciousness with improved efficiency each time.

As a person gets better at letting go a bit more each time, they come to a point where

they release the attachments to identity, and by doing so become connected to a source

of energy and awareness like never before.

Within the first 15-20 minutes, users report experiences wherein they observe themselves

and their lives with a new transparency, gaining clarity on things such as their behaviour,

relationships, and thought patterns.

As time goes on within the chamber, the mind and soul become completely segregated from

the body, wherein some can experience the god-head, or the feeling of complete

oneness with the universe and the source of love and light.

The tank provides a helping means for anyone to practice meditation, whether they are completely

new to the exercise or are already a master.

The benefits can be substantial for people who are experiencing stress and who wish to

escape their busy lives, for people who have difficulty meditating in their normal environments,

or even for people who simply wish to gain clarity on issues in their daily lives.

In todays society, a vast majority of people search outwards for help and assistance, and

the common vices that are promoted through mass advertising and media include pharmaceutical

and/or illicit drugs, alcohol, and television, to name a few.

Modern day therapies such as the isolation chamber may be the future of psychotherapy,

which focuses on ridding oneself of external distraction while empowering oneself to heal

by means of personal observation and conscious awareness.

СТРАШИЛКИ l СОМНИЯ ( 2 ЧАСТЬ ) - Duration: 16:49.

Shivering then, I ran on, trying to catch my important meeting, when suddenly I began

to envelop a familiar feeling of weakness. I was pulled back, towards the empty windows

of large elongated houses and that ruined house. I was seized with fear, because I began

to feel as if I was being pulled by dozens of arms, which at once seized me. I started

to break out and scream, but, as often happens, I was only tightened back even more, and only

a hoarse wheezing escaped my throat. Miraculously then breaking out, I ran into the first open

door and was just at a meeting where he was in such a hurry.

No, no, this dream also does not predict anything and does not say anything, I almost forgot

about it the next day, and I would not remember, do not repeat all exactly in a week. And then

again, just as well in a week. And then I first thought about how to somehow control

my dreams. What? No, I never went to sleep. No, I was not tormented by sleepy paralysis.

I, frankly, found out exactly their symptoms exactly when I was trying to find information

about conscious dreams. No, I ... Yes, after that something similar happened to me.

Still somewhere at that moment I mentioned at work that I had the same dream every week,

so I was struck by the fact that, at least from the corner of my eye, many also saw similar

courts in my dreams. They could all differ slightly in appearance, but houses in such

yards were familiar to people they dreamed of. Goosebumps and chills ran through the

body, but everything was still felt like funny coincidences.

After that, I began to study any articles that I found in lucid dreams and tried any

methods painted there. And to keep any object with me, which would remind, in reality I

or not. And try this ritual with an alarm clock in two hours or an hour and then fall

asleep again. And so on, and so forth, because I also continued every week to have this nightmare.

"Unfortunately, our session is coming to an end," the psychotherapist interrupted me,

"and I would like to ask you a few questions clarifying ..."

Then, after I answered the questions, I tried to talk about my problems and internal fears,

despite the fact that I knew that this does not play any role here, I retired taking the

prescription I had once written.

"Having taken a great interest in conscious dreams," I began again, at the next session,

"I caught on with the idea. And if I get fired up with an idea, then, naturally, I start

to get upset if nothing happens. Because, no matter how hard I try, nothing happens.

In my dreams, every time I forgot that it was necessary to check if it was a dream,

and each time only some distant distant thought realized that yes, it was a dream, but especially

this thought was not fond of. And all would be nothing, I would, in the end, even stop

all this if I did not get to talking to a familiar employee from work. He, too, was

just among those who claimed that they had similar dreams, and we raised this whole subject

again with dreams. And this time he said that he began to dream more and more of the same

dream. The same thing I dreamed about once a week.

I then grinned and asked him if he was dreaming too bright dreams. And he looked at me like

that, and said that yes, he was dreaming. He told me how, from childhood, he sometimes

dreams of interesting dreams, and how especially bright suddenly began to dream after he gave

up smoking. And after that, he began to dream the same nightmare, because of which he stopped

sleeping. We then agreed, they say, yes, strangely, we talked a little more, and then we broke

up later. After that, I was so interested in this topic and on the same day I asked

my friends about dreams. Only one of them told me on the phone that he had dreamed of

this dream from before, as he tried to escape from this yard, and the rest only said that

they often do not remember their dreams at all.

Clinging to the phrase that after that friend from work stopped smoking, it all began, I

decided to try my will power and luck, too. It took about a week to get it started.

Yes, it was that employee, who then died in a dream. I ... I can not exactly answer you,

do I think it's related to his death? Yes, after that I decided to leave that job. Yes,

yes, I understand.

In general, a week later, I suddenly began to dream very realistic dreams. I went to

bed then and in my dream immediately realized that it was a dream and what was happening.

I remember how I stood there, and looked around dazedly, because it's so unusual, so to stand

still in a dream and be aware of everything. But only after that I did not control them.

No matter how I tried to inspire myself with something, they could not be controlled. I

exhausted walked along the familiar street of my native city, and observed from the side

all the absurdity that is always happening in dreams. Adventures, natural disasters,

explosions, chases, and only now I stood aside, tired and just watching.

And the next moment I was back in that yard-well.

The houses around me have become even higher, and already the windows that are rare on them

and the small arches at the bases leading outwards are even smaller. Now in this courtyard

came twilight and I was pressured by this whole atmosphere. I looked around first, absorbing

all this environment, examining simultaneously familiar and unfamiliar pieces of the yard.

Nothing has changed in particular, the same empty and quiet courtyard. I nevertheless

then hurried to the nearest archway to go out into the open street when I was again

pulled back, and each step began to be given with difficulty. Taking a step forward, I

immediately made two back. I began to feel clearly how dozens of hands grabbed me by

the arms and legs in this silence, how everything starts to get dark with fatigue, and how they

pull me closer and closer. Where? Perhaps, to that wretched little house that stood in

the middle of the yard. I did not want to know this for sure. I began so strongly to

wake up that only this thought was beating in my head. I even stopped resisting these

hands, realizing the futility of this venture. When I started to choke and lose consciousness

from lack of air, in a dream imagine ?, I woke up. And then I first felt what a sleepy

paralysis.

I will not describe the sensations, as I woke up, could not move my body, and I felt like

someone was sitting on my chest. All the same as the others. About a couple of days later

we found out at our work that the employee with whom I chatted about all this was killed.

He suffocated in a dream. We did not give any clear explanations, however, no one asked.

Together, by the way, with realistic dreams, I also began to dream every night of this

nightmare. And every day I woke up, a few infinitely stretching minutes unable to move

my body. Approximately then I began to try to sleep less. At first I thought that if

you sleep for an hour or less, or even drink sleeping pills, then I will not have any dreams.

But nothing helped. As soon as I closed my eyes, I was there.

There was one more friend of mine, one who had dreamed something similar before, with

which I decided to try to discuss and meditate on all this. Well, I immediately made an appointment.

Seeing me, tired and with bags under Eyes, he compared my penultimate call to him and

did not ask questions about my appearance, only nodding, understanding so.

More in detail about it? Well, what about it say. We did not see each other from the

senior class. At school somehow talked, and after the end in a couple of months all communication

came to naught, well, you know how it happens. At school he was just such a guy, the only

thing that was unusual about him was that he never got enough sleep. I always dozed

during lessons and changes and walked with bruises under my eyes. Always thought out

excuses, but only at our last meeting I found out that he had nightmares, every night. Nightmare.

The same as mine.

He told me that the same dream was dreaming of his uncle, before he suddenly gasped in

his sleep. And then his distant relative from the city at the other end of the country.

He and his relatives have long talked about the insomnia of a friend, and so they somehow

mentioned among themselves, who had similar ailments. He began to dig deeper. He managed

to find out that there was something mixed in there with breathing problems in a dream

about old age, but this did not explain the death of a relative, because she was not much

older than him.

But on this he finished his story, because at one point all his dreams suddenly stopped.

He just stopped dreaming. I thought he did something to achieve this, but no. Just stopped,

and that's it.

We parted ways, and I began to try to find something myself. But, just like, nothing

intelligible about the unexplained deaths of completely healthy people of any age in

a dream. I tried to ask around from friends and relatives, but they just started to ask

if something had happened and offered to go to a psychologist. Although I saw that some

of them shuddered each time when I began to describe in detail my nightmare, and silently

listened, as if holding their breath.

Yes, I thought to ask someone to wake me up at least with a bell, because I lived alone,

or put an alarm clock, so as not to wake up every time paralyzed. But I either did not

wake up from calls, or I was already called when I was lying in this sleepy paralysis.

I even tried to start smoking again, but this did not stop the nightmares.

The last time I tried to sleep well, something very strange happened, after which I decided

not to close my eyes anymore, or to sleep only jerky, for 15-20 minutes, which does

not help much, but at least I manage to wake up in time.

In a dream, I woke up at home. That it was a dream, I finally understood already only

when I woke up in reality, alone in my apartment. But everything was very realistic there, all

the sensations and smells, and I doubted until the very end. In a dream, my relatives suddenly

came to me, I remembered that there was soon an anniversary for one of them, and I did

not attach any importance to it, because I often forget the dates of birthdays.

I wandered back and forth, not chatting with anyone, noting to myself that the relatives

for some reason moved all the furniture in my house, and now she stood mirror-like in

front of her previous place. Gradually, I tried to listen to the conversations, but

I heard only some gibberish, and then I pricked up my ears. I took some random book lying

on the table, but everything was also written in it in a strange and incomprehensible language,

not reminiscent of any of the existing ones. Then I began to worry, but if it was a dream,

then at least not a nightmare. I went to the parents chatting in the kitchen, and, sitting

down to them, I began to listen to their voices. At one point, I looked out the window. From

there, a view of the elongated houses standing in front, with small windows and small arches,

was opened. That's when I broke the cold. I began to remember frantically whether there

really were such houses resembling houses from the dream of a building. Looking around,

I saw similar houses, and looking down, I saw that very yard-well. For a while, I began

to get confused, the reality is either a dream, forgetting about everything.

Then something black came slowly from that wretched little house in the middle of the

courtyard. Thick and viscous. I ... I do not know how to explain, but it was at the same

time like a fog and some sort of mucus. Dozens of hands could be seen in the blackness. I

realized that they would try to drag me back there. There was a common need for sleep,

a strong need to run somewhere urgently, to escape. Somewhere on the periphery of consciousness,

I was still wondering if this was a dream or I had finally gone mad.

Just a second again glancing out the window, I saw how fanciful creatures began to form

from the slimy fog, and then turned away. And then for the first time I again began

to behave as I did in my own childhood nightmares. I turned away and ran, looking only at my

feet, because I knew that you can not look up and look at them. Running past the window

on the other side of the apartment, I dared to stop for a while and look up to see the

whole street, entirely consisting of exactly the same houses, simultaneously similar to

each other and not. I did not know what to think about all this.

As soon as I started running away from the apartment, again looking only at my feet,

it became more difficult for me to take steps forward, I again began to suffocate. Again,

I could not take a step forward, not to make two back. Looking at myself under my feet,

I saw my relatives flitting there and the paws of those creatures that were now standing

in front of me. They looked at me and waited for me to stop resisting and lift my gaze.

Finally, I just screwed up my eyes. I thought, honestly, that I die right there. I will not

wake up, and I will become another mysterious death of a man in a dream.

But then someone came up to me, and put a hand on my shoulder. And he said something

in that incomprehensible language, but the voice was so familiar, as if I had heard it

somewhere.

At the same moment, I woke up and heard that the relatives who had arrived on the holidays

called to warn me about my arrival. My hair turned gray after this dream, and my breathing

problems started, which were written off for smoking. Then I realized that I had also dreamed

of deceased relatives and friends in a dream. Yes, it was after that that I stopped sleeping

normally.

I do not know what to do now, because this nightmare continues, and every time I try

to take it. Maybe I just need to give up, because, perhaps, so it is necessary.

- ..., - in response to my story, I heard a silence.

"Do not think about it," I began incoherently, "that for me it is a theory that reveals something

unimaginable. Perhaps, I really just have problems due to lack of sleep.

After a couple of seconds of silence, I looked up at my therapist. She sat there, frozen

in the middle of the recording. There was something about her look ...

She blinked, continued her usual questions, and at the end she prescribed a standard prescription

and extended the course of treatment.

Come to Bioeconomy 2017 - Duration: 2:17.

Jonathan Male: Join the U.S. Department of Energy's Bioenergy

Technologies Office (BETO) as we celebrate our 10th annual conference.

This year, we've changed the name of the conference to focus on all of the exciting breakthroughs

and promising markets that are moving the American bioeconomy forward.

Our agenda will feature rousing discussions on topics across the supply chain, with a

special focus on building new revenue streams and showcasing the value proposition of

the bioeconomy.

David Babson: The B17 Conference - or Bioeconomy 2017 - is

BETO's annual conference.

This year, we're talking about the whole of the bioeconomy and how biotechnology can be

used to leverage our domestic resources to provide opportunities up and down the supply

chain for farmers and forest managers, the biotech community, and the people that sell

those products - not just fuels, but products and materials and chemicals.

Jonathan Male: We're looking at a larger pitching session,

which allows new, small businesses-or even, maybe, large businesses - to bring in their

new, innovative ideas.

We are joined once again by the Clean Energy Research and Education Foundation as our lead

planning partner.

David Babson: They offer new and exciting sponsorship and

exhibit opportunities.

We'll also be talking about the economic opportunities for reliable American feedstocks and how those

feedstocks can be used to produce fuels, products, materials, and chemicals.

Jonathan Male: And with these new markets that are growing,

within the bioeconomy - how to choose these judiciously, how to scale as one goes toward

biofuels.

We'll be looking at the job creation along the entire supply chain, the manufacturing

opportunities, and how we set this up to maintain the U.S. competitive advantage in global markets.

David Babson: Hear directly from leading scientists and

bioeconomy experts from the public and private sectors.

Bioeconomy 2017 will be attended by government agency officials, members of Congress, industry

players, national laboratory scientists and academic researchers.

BETO brings all of these people together to talk about one thing - the emerging bioeconomy.

See how far we've come in the last ten years.

Register today.

Small Business Stories: Crossfit Krypton | Navy Federal - Duration: 1:49.

My oldest son Ben got really good at CrossFit

really quick back in 2008.

We started training kids out of our garage.

The garage became a little bit too small so

we were looking for a place to expand

into and so that's when we moved here.

We had the idea of turning this into a business

when we realized that our kids were

going to do this full-time.

When we decided to open a business of course

Navy Federal was the first place that

we decided to go. I've done with them for

35 years. They've been very effective in

helping us with pretty much anything

that we've ever needed.

In CrossFit they like to say that the enemy is the

routine so you have to train for those

things that you don't know what's coming next

and a lot of things with the businesses

are the same way. There's a lot of

unknowns out there for people who don't

grow up with that background.

The one thing we've always learned to do is

adapt and improvise and I think we do

that very well both as a family and as a business.

Actually the family plays great

into this business model because our

kids are the biggest part of our business.

We really enjoy it because gives

us opportunity to work with our kids and

gives us time to stay with them as they've grown up.

Goals for the next future years are really to expand our

operations to affect more of the local

community, and it's a challenge to do

that because sometimes when you grow you

lose that small feeling so we want to

keep that small family feeling but we

want to expand and bring more people into that family.

My proudest achievement

over the years really been to watch my

kids grow up into really fine young men

and I'm also proud of the environment

that we've all created here.

I couldn't think of any better team to have here as

far as mentors for younger people

and just hardwork and honest, genuine

people and it's been fantastic.

I've stayed with Navy federal because they offer

all the services of big banks but it's a small bank feeling.

Orange is the New Black star Diane Guerrero Shares Her Story • BRAVE NEW FILMS - Duration: 2:05.

it was sort of surreal one day being with your

parents and then one day not.

We've all moved on and settled in. It's been 15 years but I have to say

It hasn't come easy. It's been a long long

road for all of us.

You don't know what you're a kid. You think it's all about you.

You think that you're the only one that's going

to be growing. And then you realize that

that your family is growing as well.

And you've changed and you like different

things. And you don't like other things that

you use to like. And the same goes to your parents.

So when you come together that relationship is

going to be strained. Because you both no

longer know each other. That's a very difficult

thing to have to live with

And it certainly does a lot of things to one's

mind and soul

and it's certainly something that should

be looked at and considered when you're

separating families.

I wasn't very informed on the immigration

system of this country. I think I was

always sort of taught to fear it and so

and also wasn't really openly discussed

Honestly, it's as simple as survival.

I just needed to survive and that's what I did.

I was able to do that because I had

such a strong community. What I suggest

now would be to be vocal to try to get

much help as possible.

There's so many organizations willing

to help

And know your Constitutional Rights.

if you don't have a family friend or a school that can help you

I would say just try to get as much

information as you can so that you can

go to the right people. I'm not the only

one with a story like this. We all have

different stories. Let's share our stories.
