Waching daily May 24 2017

What's up guys we're back here in the Detail Garage with this Tesla.

This car hasn't been washed in over four months so it is completely thrashed.

The paint is covered in dirt and debris but mainly these wheels are coated in brake dust,

grime and road debris.

Today we're going to get it cleaned up and looking right.

Over here I've got my bucket full of water and I'll place one Dirt Trap inside of it

to filter out and contaminants and prevent them returning to the vehicle.

If you noticed I place it in at an angle and press it all the way to the bottom to reduce

air getting stuck underneath it so it can create a seal which prevents any gross contaminants

from coming back through the cones.

To help me clean these rims I have three brushes.

I have our Green Flagged Tip Brush which is for cleaning the face of the wheel, the Stiffy

Blue Brush for the tire to remove road grime and previous dressings and lastly we have

our new Easy Reach Rim and Tire Detailing Brush to get into the spokes removing the

brake dust and grime all the way to the back of the barrel.

Before we do all that we'll load up our bucket with some Diablo Wheel Gel to create foam

that emulsifies brake dust and contaminants to prevent scratching and we'll activate it

using the hose.

Starting off by putting all three brushes in the bucket to collect foam which helps

us clean.

Before we start I'll rinse off as much of the grime as possible so we won't scratch

and then we can start with the foaming process.

By using our Jet Stream Fire Hose Nozzle it has helped take down all the loose heavier

filth to prevent swirls and scratches.

Gathering foam and lubrication on the Easy Reach Wheel Brush we are going to start at

the highest point of the wheel this way we're not dragging the debris over areas that we

have already cleaned.

You can see it goes all the way to the back of the wheel taking off as much of the brake

dust and grime without scratching.

This wheel brush has super soft bristles which help to take off anything that is stuck in

small crevices but won't scratch the surface.

To add some more cleaning power as well as foam I'm going to spray some Sticky Wheel

Gel on here.

This helps take off road grime, embedded contaminants and also anything that has been sitting on

the surface because like I said this car hasn't been detailed in at least four months and

it just got back from a cross-country road trip so it picked up a lot of road grime and

filth that can harm the finish.

So I'm spraying a generous amount on here to help foam and lubricate so we don't scratch

it.

As you can see this brush went all the way to the back of the barrel and took care of

the sitting grime and debris and now you'll look in here and see a perfectly clean rim.

Now we're going to move on to another brush.

We're going to use our Green Flagged Tip Brush this is going to take care of anything that

is left on the face of the wheel.

So I'm going to spray a little bit of Sticky Wheel Gel into the brush this adds cleaning

power as well as lubrication so that again we don't add new scratches or swirls to the finish.

Working at the top and going around the rim we are picking up any remaining residues and

brake dust to get these rims looking right.

So I'm also going to spray some Sticky Citrus Wheel Gel in this brush because this is adding

cleaning power which creates foam that penetrates the rubber to remove dressings and road grime

to bring back a natural black look.

Alrighty guys as a last step we need rinse off all this spent product and grime that

had caked up all over the wheels and wheel wells so we'll use the Jet Stream Fire Hose Nozzle.

Now if you're wondering why we started with the wheels it is because on any detail if

you are washing the exterior you'll want to start with the dirtiest areas and the wheels

are obviously the most grime and polluted area.

So we started with the wheels and now that they are looking right we are going to move

on to the body when we come back to the Detail Garage.

Just want to say thanks to you guys for sticking through, obviously it gets pretty loud and

noisey out here.

It took multiple takes to get this video perfect but we appreciate you guys watching.

If you guys want to learn more about these products you can check them out on our website

ChemicalGuys.com.

If you like this car or this video give it a thumbs up.

We'll see you guys next time right here in the Detail Garage.

So for anyone that was driving down Western at 3:30ish on a Tuesday, thanks for being

a part of the video.

Why We Meditate and Why Cobra Asks for Synchronized Meditations - Duration: 3:40.

Why We Meditate and Why Cobra Asks for Synchronized Meditations.

When we individually spend time in meditation (sit-down, walking, day-dreaming, guided,

etc) we are helping to anchor in our own personal light-body or higher self and soul.

Meditation helps to raise your own vibration and raising your vibration helps you function

better in the world and (keeps you out of reach of lower vibrations).

There are also dozens of health, psychological and spiritual benefits too.

Why Synchronized Global Meditations

When we consciously show up for these Synchronized Global meditations we are acting as the

Bridge between these Higher Dimensions / Higher Beings and Earth.

These Star Races need the humans on earth to help anchor the light, so we bring the

light from the Galactic Central Sun down through our bodies and into the center of the earth.

From the center of the earth we imagine a pillar of light going up through the earth

and into our bodies and out into the Beings of Light in our Solar system cleaning

and clearing these energetic levels these non-physical levels (the matrix).

We also visualize FULL DISCLOSURE, a new Financial System and Benevolent Contact.

Thousands of us doing these meditations and holding this purpose allows us to increase

the light below the planet, through us on the planet and above the planet.

Critical Mass will help bring The Event with Full Disclosure closer.

Lets do this!!!

Please set an Alarm to join with us

Please join us each Sunday at 4 pm UTC time for a 15 minute Global Synchronized Ascension

Meditation.

(Thats 9 am PDT, 10:00 am Denver, 12:00 noon Eastern time) etc.

Listen with your local group or by phone or Computer.

There are at least 4 ways and links to connect you.

party right up in the cream that's in

this one for the orange tree pop it's a

little better it don't taste more like a

meal or like a little cake it do tastes

like straight candy

that it tastes like like another type of

candy but at the same time it do taste

like orange cream pop now this right

the kids to get um me myself man I don't

know man

if I would go out and buy this again

this is a little bit too much for me

If You Care About Privacy, You Should Change Your Twitter Settin - tech and science - Duration: 3:09.

If You Care About Privacy, You Should Change Your Twitter Settings Right Now

Since Wednesday, Twitter has been sending out emails and notifications to its over 300

million monthly users to inform them of changes to their privacy policy.

The new policy, which goes into effect on June 18, includes changes to data collection,

data sharing, and digital advertising.

The policy is being run on an opt-out basis, meaning that if users do not actively

change their settings, these policies will automatically be applied to their accounts.

While Twitter hailed the new policy in their mass email sent out Sunday as one that dovetails

with our heartbeat as a company a commitment to protecting and defending your privacy,

groups like the Electronic Frontier Foundation are not so enthusiastic.

Contrary to the inviting Sounds good button to accept the new policy and get to

tweeting, the changes Twitter has made around user tracking and data personalization do

not sound good for user privacy, EFF researcher Gennie Gebhart writes.

EFF, along with Life Hacker and CNET, are encouraging users to customize their privacy

settings now before the new changes are automatically enabled in June.

With the new policy, Twitter will be keeping logs for users web histories for 30 days

instead of 10, a move that Jules Polonetsky, CEO of the Future of Privacy Forum, says expands

the pool of people it can track and allows Twitter to make more comprehensive profiles

of users.

Interestingly, this change will not apply to E.U. member countries because Europes

restrictive privacy laws prohibit it.

Twitter also discontinued support for the Do Not Track browser option, which previously

allowed users to protect against targeted advertising.

The reason for the change, says TopTechNews.com writer Barbara Ortutay, is therefore clearly

not about privacy, but money.

Targeted ads that are tailored to your whims and tastes are more lucrative than generic

ones, Ortutay writes.

Whether for privacy or profit, the changes are coming.

Fortunately, its up to users to change their settings and decide how much they want

to share.

CNET offers this simple how-to: Open Settings and go to Settings and privacy > Privacy and

safety > Personalization and data.

At the top of this page is an option to disable all personalization and data settings; on

the Twitter website, click the Disable all.

EFF notes that users can also review, edit, and/or remove data collected on them in the

past by accessing the Your Twitter data option also located in settings.

What got you interested in psychology? - Duration: 6:58.

I was a teacher for about four years and I

taught middle schoolers and I found that

like some days they would come in and

they would be these sweet little things

and other days for like reasons unknown

to me they would like be completely

different people so like I was really

interested in finding out why that

happened and like what we could do to

sort of smooth this transition from like

childhood to adolescence to early adulthood

it's kind of funny actually I

came to undergraduate thinking I was

going to major in chemistry and I took

an intro to human development class and

I fell in love with it and I had amazing

mentorship and I've just really found my

passion and working with kids and

understanding how our brains work

so I'ma first generation college student and I

finished my undergrad at University of

Texas at Austin

where I was introduced to the world of

research and I had a great mentor David

Yeagar who does fantastic work on

adolescent interventions and from there

I got hooked on to just finding

research and evidence-based solutions

for solving social problems

my own experiences being a child of immigrants

I was like what is it that my parents

are doing or what about my environment

is driving me to be academically

successful when according to statistics

I shouldn't be as achieving as I have been

since Latinos are one of the like lowest

achieving minority groups in the u.s. so

they need to be able to succeed because

academics is like a way to mobilize and

social mobility and be able to have

access to better careers

my early work as a research assistant at the University

of Rochester with Patrick Davies and

Melissa Sturge-Apple. I worked on a

developmental study that was looking at

how children responded to at-risk

environments and I was really taken back

by all of the myriad different ways of

responding and how some kids tended to

drift toward an externalizing pattern

of response it just stuck out to me as

very startling and striking and

interesting and figured it was worthy of

further investigation

I had a wonderful advisor named dr. Bette Ackerman and she

was my professor

just the passion she had some psychology I came

into college wanting to do thought I

wanted to do pre-med but that shifted

because I fell in love with the brain

and psychology I'm also a military kid

and I have family members can have PTSD

and he have been very affected by the

war and I wanted to help people on the

mental side of things

so I got interested in my undergraduate I entered

University just as a general study

student and I had some amazing mentors

who got me inspired in early language development

well generally I've always

been interested in how the world of

special children's work so the children

with special needs I think I've always

been interested in people so this is how

I got into psychology and clinical

psychology specifically

so I got involved in my field because I did some community activism

for about three years and ran an

education program with at-risk youth in

Virginia so I worked in

juvenile detention centers and in group

homes and I worked with that population for a

while realized that I didn't have the

skills to adequately address the needs

that they were presenting so I got my

Masters in Social Work at the University

Wisconsin

ran into some fantastic faculty who

really helped me understand how to

combine all of my interests that really

allowed me not just to look at things from a

psychological perspective or a

sociological perspective but really to

look at this interdisciplinary

perspective of what its, what are the

causes or influences of kids to do well or not to do well in school

I guess it would go back

into when I was an undergraduate I was a

dance teacher on the side and I had a

mom approach me who wanted her child

to be in the class but she was worried

because she had autism and at that time

I really did know a lot about autism and

so me being one to include everyone

was like sure of course bring your child

and I realized like I needed to adjust

you know the way that I structured the

class a little bit to better accommodate

her and from that

experience I was like well maybe this is

an area that I would be interested in

you know learning more about

I always really liked children and I think a lot

of the disparities that we see now start

in early childhood and that's that's why

I start looking at early childhood

I've always been interested in how the mind works

it's always been a passion of mine but like I

never really understood what psychology

was and so I got to undergrad obviously

I think I just got really interested as

an undergrad through like atypical

development and how that relates to

typical development and I've kind

of been here since

I got interested in psychology in my undergrad when I was

working at alison gopnik's developmental

lab and it was so interesting to see how

much children could learn from the

simplest interactions with fiction and I

grew more interested in media as I

worked at an Apple store actually that's

how I got into my current path seeing

how children immediately gravitated

towards different kinds of touch screens

and could pick it up so easily while

parents often struggled to learn as

quickly from this type of technology

a big part of what I care about is

educational inequality. I care about

that for multiple reasons including that

I was a teacher for a while in Houston

and being concerned and worried about

parents and whether or not they might be

able to remain in the country was something

that my students definitely experienced

great mentors great psychology and human

development family study courses and

statistics that show the real-world

implications of alcohol use and abuse

I guess I got interested in risk and

resilience through the medical field I

worked at Boston Children's Hospital

before graduate school studying

emotional and cognitive functioning and

kids and teens who had been born with

complex congenital heart defects that

had gone through early surgeries and I

got really interested in the big range

of how people were doing at school and

socially in terms of mental health and

well-being and I started really thinking

that their parents reactions and

interpretations of their condition were

big influences on their children's

adjustment and that led me to looking at

resilience in the context of other kinds

of risk factors but with similar sorts

of protective processes in place

I do have lots of cousins and siblings

there was a big family so that was part

of it and and I think experiences from

your childhood really affects your later

life so I was really interested in the

early social cognitive processes and

the inputs that infants and children get

what got you interested in psychology
