KIAH: Hey, my name's Kiah, and I'm a blackfella from Victoria.

I just want to tell you about me and this guy I've been hanging with.

His name's Scott, and I love him.

Well, I think I love him.

It's just that, umm, it's kind of gone a bit weird lately.

So, I first met him when I was playing netball, right.

We were at the netball and football carnival, which was in town last October.

He's not Koori, but he's like, best mates with my cus Alice's boyfriend.

Scott is so hot.

They reckon he's had a six-pack since forever,

and he has these amazing blue eyes,

like I can't even.

Jasmine said he couldn't stop lookin' at me,

and since I've sorted my eyebrows out, the girls reckon I'm lookin' pretty fierce.

I didn't talk to him or anything, but Scott found me on Instagram and DM'd me.

We started Snapchatting each other every day and

we got our streak up to like, 66.

Then when we'd meet up he'd be real charming, like call me bae and

was always holding my hand and saying how pretty I am.

One day though, Scott saw me hanging with my brother Danny and

a couple of our cousins.

We've got the biggest mob, hey, so there's always family around.

These fellas were travelling through town, so Danny and I

went back to the park to just hang with them.

The next time I saw Scott though, he was being quiet and sooky,

asking why I was hanging out with the other guys.

I tried to tell him about family, but he didn't want to hear it.

He said that I should change my Instagram to private.

He reckons too many guys are liking my pics and

says that I should delete them.

Same with any guys on my Snapchat, which I don't think is fair,

but Scott's all like, if I loved him, I'd do it.

And I really do love him.

He's always buying me chocolate and saying that he loves me.

So I did.

He was cool for a bit, but then he started throwing shade at my friends.

Reckoned they were annoying and stupid and

that I shouldn't hang out with them.

He also started saying that he hated my clothes and that

I looked like a hoe when I wore my new gold hoops.

Then, just a couple of weeks ago, Scott and I had a

full on fight outside my aunty's house.

It started cos Scott reckoned my Mum and dad were hopeless,

cos they were always getting me to look after my little brothers.

I told him I liked doing it, but he just kept on at me,

saying I wasn't spending enough time with him.

Jasmine was across the road and she saw us fighting.

I was so shamed that I didn't even reply when she

sent me a text asking if I was okay.

Jas is my BFF, but I just didn't want to talk about it.

I feel like I'd cry if she asked me how I was.

I'm so upset and confused.

I just don't know what to think or do right now.

Hello?

JAS: Oh, hey, you picked up!

Hey, have you done that maths revision yet?

I'm struggling, hey.

KIAH: Yeah, same.

JAS: So, I just wanna ask, like, are you alright, sis?

It's just that I heard you and Scott yelling the other day and

you didn't reply to my message, so I just want to know that you're alright.

KIAH: Yeah.

JAS: Like, I know you really like Scott.

He's hot and he's funny and nice, but me and Danny have heard how

he's been talking to you lately, and I just don't want you to feel bad,

cos you know that you slay, right?

Like, you should be feeling good all the time.

KIAH: Thanks, Jas.

JAS: Kiah, I love you.

I had to get my tripod from our office because people want to record our soccer match.

Match is starting in 30 minutes. We can analyze the tapes later.

This time in Lehmo.

This place has changed a lot in 10 years.

Today it happened.

It's +17C outside!

It was warm enough to wear a t-shirt

Though this was noted by wearing a jacket and noting that it was really hot.

Machine rolling in the background. My room is my temple.

So it's also really cool.

Installing AC was a good call. I'm enjoying this.

Portable ad parked.

This time I'm at Science Park

Today we're meeting with Firetail Games about cooperation with us and Josna.

I noticed when I was driving by that there's Kim and he's the man we're meeting with today.

Now that the sun is out one can almost survive without a jacket. It's really getting hot in here.

Now it's time for meetings so I'll dive inside Science Park.

Message to people who park your cars to other peoples spots: Don't do that. It's not nice.

It's not easy to get back to the office when there are cars around that aren't supposed to be there.

I still survived and now I'm on my way to a meeting with other IT company bosses.

We discuss in cooperation with school that what kind of coders are needed by local IT companies.

It's important for the school to know what kind of stuff is happening locally so they can educate people the right way.

University of Applied Sciences and Universities IT teaching is going through a transformation. I'll hear more about it today.

After a long break I'm back at Karelia University of Applied Sciences.

It's nice to hear that teachers are willing to better themselves and the courses they're teaching.

Next group of IT bachelors will have interesting school experience ahead.

I'm hoping that we'll have more say about what is being taught in the future.

Back at the office and Koodersland is empty.

Our summerDeveloper Oona has her first day wrapped up.

This time I'm actually tired. I've been drinking a lot of coffee but it has no effect so far.

This stuff we had at the table in the back is now here.

But now we have a cabinet!

The plan is to put that AC unit to this small table.

It'll give us nice cold air. Today was first day at the office when it was kind of warm.

Currently it's at +17C. Maybe even more with the sun and all.

My first plan is to get the stuff from the table to the cabinet.

We could have tables open. There's stuff under the table too.

Here we have all kinds of accessories. Mousepads, headphones etc.

Here we have some power- and screen cables. Also some docs for PCs and hard drives.

There are the extension cords.

If we can get all this to the cabinet. That would be neat.

If we can fit all this we're solid.

This is the operation I'm starting now. After this I'm gonna be so tired...

Volume up!

I'm making progress.

Fan is going to the closet because we have AC now.

These are here if I need to bundle cables. I also found my first name tag.

Maybe I should grow hair again.

There's even some logic behind this.

Bottom shelf for stuff I never need but still won't throw away.

There's hardware.

I'll also have to get some extra hardware from my old desk.

Everything that's needed for working with hardware.

Name tags, camera stuff... misc?

There's a Cubeor case I'm supposed to make a review on. Maybe this week.

AC unit fits here like a glove.

It's still not perfect but it's way better than before.

So much stuff..

Some graphics cards in case we get a PC and it doesn't have one.

Hard drives for the same reason.

It's also kinda ok hardware. 670, couple of 760's. You can do stuff with those if needed.

Now I think I'll wrap up and go home.

It's funny how empty it is here during Ascension Day.

Naturally no one is working during a holiday. I almost missed it because today we have our third game.

The game is starting at 4pm which felt like an unreasonable starting time for a soccer game.

It made more sense when I noticed the holiday.

So then I thought that this is just plain discrimination againts entrepreneurs.

Since I completely missed the holiday.

I work these holidays because I like what I do and it's so calm because no one is calling me today.

I came in today at 10:30am so a shorted day.

I'm also leaving early since it's soccer time at 4pm.

Such discrimination againts entrepreneurs but I'll allow it.

It's Friday! So were doing some gaming in the office.

Now the gaming session is done.

It's almost 9pm and something unexpected happened.

Everyone else was on full on gaming mode and it was me who started to think that I need to let these people go on and have their normal weekend.

We played in there for 2,5 hours and -

it worked well and we had fun. We played Magicka and I'm not sure if we need to try to find a more chill game.

If you have great suggestions for couch co-op games hit me up on social media or in the comments.

Magicka is a good option. Castle Crashers would be great but I've personally played it a lot.

So maybe not that but some good couch co-op ideas are welcome.

But this is important!

Visual Impairment - What does a percentage of vision imply? - Duration: 2:30.

Hi I am Yu Tung,

today I want to share with you

my understanding about the measurement of vision.

Specifically,

what does a percentage of vision imply?

For example, if a doctor tells you that you have about 20% of normal vision,

what does it mean? Is it serious?

Here we go!

Firstly, we need to understand a concept called visual acuity,

which is the measurement of vision.

It can be measured in terms of feet or meters.

In this video, we use meters.

The number on our left hand side

refers to the distance required by a person with normal vision to read an object.

The right one is the distance for the person being tested,

for example, a visually impaired person.

I take myself as an example.

My corresponding numbers are six and sixty.

This means that if a person with normal vision

can read an object within 60 meters.

For me,

I need to step forward by 54 meters

so that I can read the same object

as clearly as the person with normal vision.

In other words,

I can read the object within 6 metres.

This table shows the visual acuity

in terms of different levels and units.

Basically,

your vision can be measured

when you are reading the characters on the eye chart.

In conclusion,

I believe this is not a complicated concept,

but we can be easily misled

if we don't understand the meaning behind.

I was once worried

when the doctor told me that

I have approximately 10% of normal vision

but later I found out that

the case may not be that bad,

because I can indeed easily walk into the crowd

without hitting the others,

so I realise that sometimes the reality

may not be as worse as we imagine.
