Waching daily May 28 2017

With Meereen conquered, Daenerys soon learned that the council of Astapor fell to a former

Butcher named Cleon who declared himself king and enslaved the former aristocracy.

In Yunkai, the Wise Masters had returned to their old ways, and were gathering allies

to fight against her forces.

Fearing that Meereen would suffer the same fate as the other cities, she decided to hold

off on travelling to westeros, instead staying on as queen of Meereen, so she might learn

to rule and protect the former slaves.

Meanwhile rumors about Daenerys Stormborn and her dragons spread across the known world.

Maester Aemon of the night's watch even confided in his steward Sam Tarley, claiming

that Daenerys was the prophesied hero that would come to save the realms of men.

Unfortunately he was too old to seek her out, and so the task fell to Archmaester Marwyn,

who took on the task after Aemon's death, and travelled east to find Daenerys and offer

his service and council.

In Meereen the Queen struggled to maintain order as a rebel insurgency known as the Sons

of the Harpy attacked her followers in the streets, fighting a shadow war on behalf of

the Great Masters who once ruled the city.

To combat this aggression, Daenerys placed a blood tax on the Meereenese nobility in

order to fund a city watch known as the Brazen Beasts.

She also took 2 hostages from each of their families, threatening to harm them if the

attacks continued.

And while the attacks did continue, she ultimately chose not to harm the hostages.

Yet not all were against the new ruler of the city, with the former slaves and lower

classes rising to prominence under the new government.

A movement formed of those who embraced the new Queen and changes in society, shaving

off their hair as a symbol of this new beginning.

The shavepates as they became known, were led by Skahaz mo Kandaq an advisor to the

queen.

A number of companies also formed from the recently liberated slave population like the

Mother's Men, Free Brothers, and Stalwart Shields.

As time went on, the three dragons who flew in the skies above the city grew, with the

largest of them being Drogon who regularly killed farm animals in the countryside, creating

a system where the royal court would pay for any livestock destroyed.

However when a man arrived with the bones of his deceased daughter, Daenerys realized

her dragons were becoming a threat to the people, and while drogon was able to fly away

and escape, Rhaegal and Viserion were locked away, where they could do no harm.

Late one evening, the Queen was visited by the mysterious woman Quiathe, who was using

magic to make contact, in order to recite yet another prophecy.

As the enemies of meereen continued to gather all around them, Xaro Xhoan Daxos of Qarth

arrived in the city, bringing 13 ships with him as a gift for the Queen, on the condition

that she gather her soldiers and leave Slaver's bay.

He stated that her presence and actions had disrupted the slave trade in southern essos,

affecting the economies of Volantis and Qarth.

However she refused his offer, causing him to leave her a bloody glove on a satin pillow,

meant to convey that Qarth declared war on Meereen.

With an alliance of powers including, New Ghis, Tolos, Qarth, Volantis and the Wise

Masters of Yunkai, they were able to defeat King Cleon of Astapor, taking the city and

then sending a naval fleet to blockade Meereen as they prepared to march north.

Meanwhile Daenerys began to make a number of concessions to the Meereenese nobility,

in an attempt to stabilize the city and prepare for its defense.

In order to stop the rebel insurgency and make peace with the other powers of Slaver's

bay, she agreed to marry a Meereenese nobleman named Hizdar zo Loraq, on the condition that

he use his connection to stop the attacks from the Sons of the Harpy for 90 days.

His success however, in stopping the violence led skahaz mo kandaq to suggest he may be

the Harpy, leader of the insurgents.

As refugees from Astapor begin trickling in from the south, they bring with them the bloody

flux, also known as the pale mare, and so were not allowed to enter the city.

The stress and severity of the situation, led Daenerys to take Daario Naharis as a lover,

and was then introduced to a man who revealed himself to be Quentyn Martell, son to the

Prince of Dorne, who'd come to offer a marriage alliance, which would see their houses join

together to conquer Westeros.

However with her immediate concern being the security of Meereen, she rejects his offer,

instead planning to go through with her wedding to Hizdar zo Loraq.

To celebrate the terms of peace, a great celebration was held in the fighting pits of meereen,

where Hizdar insisted that Daenerys try the Honeyed Locusts.

However she was so unhappy with the events unfolding she had no appetite, leaving the

man Strong Belwas to eat a great many of them.

However he soon fell ill, realizing that the locusts were poisoned.

At the same time Drogon returned, interrupting the festivities and landing in the arena.

Daenerys, elated to see her dragon again, but also scared to see fighters preparing

to attack, ran to the creature, mounting it for the first time, and flying away on its

back, leaving the chaos of Meereen behind.

Drogon took her deep into the Dothraki Sea, but refused to take her back, and so she began

to walk through the grasslands.

Unfortunately she soon became grievously ill after drinking contaminated water, hallucinating

and losing consciousness.

But she survived and once again mounted Drogon when he returned, then hunting down a horse,

and together ate its charred remains.

Daenerys Targaryen, queen of Meereen, mother of dragons, was then found by the Dothraki

Khalasar of Khal Jhaqo.

May Wrap Up & June TBR! - Duration: 8:10.

Hi guys, I'm still very much in a reading

slump. I just kind of am mostly over the

flu and in the past week I have managed

to get through the first two entire

seasons of 'Jane the Virgin'. So that has

kind of been my month in a nutshell.

But somehow, miraculously, I did manage to

read a couple of books in May, so today I

thought I'd do my May Wrap-Up and June TBR.

The first Book I read in May I

absolutely loved and that was

'Always and Forever, Lara Jean' by Jenny Han

which is the third and I'm now assuming final book in

the 'To All The Boys I've Loved Before' trilogy by

Jenny Han and I absolutely adored this.

I thought this was fantastic. I love this

trilogy, it is one of my favourite

contemporary series. It is just

absolutely adorable but it has such a

fantastic depth to it and I thought this

was the perfect ending to the trilogy.

I thought was the perfect goodbye to the

characters and the story and if I had to

say goodbye to these characters and this

story, this is exactly how I would have wanted

it to have ended. I just thought it was

brilliant. I absolutely loved it and I

gave it a 4 out of 5 stars.

I completely flew through it, despite

being in reading slump and yeah I loved it.

I just don't really want this

thrillogy to end but as I said, if it has

to, this I think was the perfect ending.

I then reread 'A Court of Mist and Fury' by Sarah J. Maas

before reading for the first time

'A Court of Wings and Ruin' and I absolutely

loved this book, it is one my favourite

fantasies and I know this trilogy has

such a huge amount of problems, so if you

are considering picking it up I would

definitely recommend researching those

problems because it is pretty heavy on

the programmatic content but I really

enjoyed this. I enjoyed it just as much

the second time around as I did reading

it the first time around and it was one

of my favourite books of last year. Then I

read 'A Court of Wings and Ruin' by Sarah J. Maas

which is the third book in the

trilogy and kind of the wrap up to this trilogy.

I think that there is going to

be a companion trilogy as well and I'm

going to be honest, I was really

disappointed with this. I enjoyed it,

there's no doubt about the fact that I

enjoyed it but it just wasn't 'A Court of Mist and Fury'

and it wasn't 'Court of Thorns and Roses' either.

I don't know, it just didn't do it for me and I don't

quite know what it was to be

completely honest. It just felt a little

all over the place and a little bit

lacking in areas. I can't decide why I

didn't enjoy it but I did enjoy it,

that's a lie, I did enjoy it,

I definitely did. If this had been the

first in the series, I probably wouldn't

be complaining about it but because

I loved the first two books so much, this

just didn't really match up to it for me

and I haven't given this a rating just

because I honestly don't know how. On a

personal level because I don't know how

I felt about it completely but also

because there were so many problems with

it. I just don't know how to rate it, so

at the moment I haven't really given it a

rating. I think maybe a 3.5/3.75 out of five stars.

So as I said, I did enjoy it but I didn't

love it, whereas the first two books in

this trilogy I absolutely loved. So I was

yeah a little bit disappointed with this.

I then read 'The Upside of Unrequited' by

Becky Albertalli and this is probably

one of the least disappointing books

I've read this year, I absolutely loved

this. I think this is now probably one of

my all time favorite contemporary books.

I just thought it was absolutely

fantastic. It basically follows the main

character Molly, who has had 26 crushes

but never had a boyfriend and then her

twin sister gets a girlfriend and it

just suddenly becomes very apparent that

she is single and she hasn't had a

boyfriend and it just kind of goes along

with that and I just thought this was

fantastic. I loved Molly as a character,

her character is just kind of everything

I wish I had had in a character growing up.

I thought she was fantastic and the

representation in this book was

fantastic on so many levels. There was so much

diversity and so many different types of

people in different shapes and sizes and

different sexualities and different

races, it was just brilliant and I just

loved the fact that so many different

people will be able to see themselves in

this book and yeah I really enjoyed it.

I loved the writing in it and I loved the

plot, I loved the characters and I gave

it a 5 out of 5 stars. So yeah, I absolutely loved it.

It has just become very apparent to me that I'm kind of

resembling a minion today, which is

definitely not look I was going for but

the thirst, first, it's also become apparent

that I'm still not feeling very well and

I'm not kind of sure what I'm saying

today. The last book that I read in May was

'City of Saints and Thieves'

by Natalie C. Anderson and this is a thriller

revenge story set in Kenya and it

basically follows the main character who

is trying to get revenge for her mother's death.

I enjoyed this, I didn't absolutely

love it. I was hoping for this incredible

kind of intense, gripping, page-turning

thriller because I haven't read

one of those in a very long time and I

don't feel as though that is really what I got with this.

This didn't really have the kind of suspense and

tension and just intensity that I was

hoping for. If you're looking for a thriller

that isn't super gritty and dark, then I

would definitely recommend this because

this was an easier read than some

thrillers. It didn't kind of make you think

a tonne. There wasn't a tonne of guessing

involved in it and working out mystery

wise because there was kind of only one

suspect throughout the whole book.

I really, really enjoyed the Kenyan setting,

I really enjoyed that it was just set

in a different country than just the UK

or the US but other than that, it was

okay. I wouldn't rave about it but I

didn't not enjoy it. It was definitely an

enjoyable read but also at the same time

that may very well be because of my

reading slump, which kind of hit very

hard whilst reading this book. So that

also probably counts towards something

but I ended up giving it a 3 out of 5 stars.

So those were all of the books

that I read in May and for my June TBR I

am essentially not making a TBR because

I kind of want to see how making a TBR,

or not making a TBR, will affect my

reading slump. So I'm just going to

completely go with the flow and see what

happens. So I don't have any specific

books that I want to read in June, other

than I really want to read some books

that I already own, by authors that are

attending YALC this year because I'd

really like to get through some of those.

That's kind of my only aim for this month,

that's my only aim for my TBR and

reading wise I would just quite like to

get out of my reading slump, however that

will happen I don't know but I'd like to

get out of that and also make a start on

reading some books by YALC authors.

Also in June I just really, really want to

finish 'Jane the Virgin' and I want to

start and finish season three, which I

have already been so majorly spoiled for,

which is breaking my heart. So that is

kind of I think my aim the June which

considering I watched the first two

seasons this week, is probably pretty

achievable at this rate. So yeah that is it.

Also lastly I just wanted to mention

my glasses because I turns out can't see.

I can't really see very well, so I need

glasses and I was very kindly sent these

from Firmoo and they very kindly

sent them for free, which was kind of

crazy and awesome and weird timing,

considering I very much need glasses

right now. So I just wanted to mention them

today because they also gave me a 20%

off a voucher for you guys and I hadn't

really realised how expensive glasses

were until I needed them myself.

So I thought I would just let you guys

know that there is a 20% off voucher. This

isn't sponsored by anyway but I just

thought I would share a 20% off

voucher for some glasses because

these I think only about 16 pounds

anyway, without any kind of voucher, so

yeah that is that. I'd absolutely love to

know which was your favourite book that

you read in May and what is on your

June TBR and also I would really

love to know if you wear glasses because

I'm feeling really weird about having to

wear glasses for the first time after

not having to wear them for 20 years.

I don't feel as though I suit them and

I can never remember to put them on. I keep

leaving the house, realising I can't see

and then realising that I have a

solution to that I just don't have them on my face.

So yes, I'm also very, very sorry for

the mess that is this video. I'm still

not feeling too great I have now

realised. Also I can't really breathe out

of my nose, so I'm sorry for probably not

really making any sense

throughout this entire video and really

not being super enthusiastic but yeah I

will leave the links to my Twitter,

Instagram, Tumblr, Goodreads, Blog and

Snapchat in the description box below so

feel free to follow me on any of those if

you'd like and I hope you have an

amazing June. I hope you watch some

amazing TV shows, I how you watch some great

movies and I hope you read some

fantastic books and yeah I just hope

they have a really, really lovely month.

Bye!

Manchester Attacks: Dear ISIS - Duration: 4:01.

You've probably already heard about the horror that took place in Manchester last

week.

In response, I have an open letter, to ISIS.

Hi, I'm Advay, and today we are talking about the Manchester Attacks

I want to start of by offering my deepest condolences

To the victims, families of the victims, and the city of Manchester

I would also like to commend the first responders for ensuring the safety of countless people

And being there for your community when it needed you the most

Now, incase you don't already know, on the 22nd of May 2017

a 22 year old man named Salman Abedi Suicide bombed an Ariana Grande concert

In Manchester Arena, Manchester, killing 23 people including himself.

A majority of the dead were mothers and minors, Making the attack particularly atrocious.

Ariana Grande herself has expressed her remorse and

has promised to return to Manchester to perform a benefit concert

Alright, now that everyone is up to speed, I want to address ISIS directly.

Dear ISIS, you are failures in every aspect possible.

Politically, you have wanted to establish an

Extremist Sunni state in the Levant, with complete control

over Syria and Iraq However, you are steadily losing territory.

You have lost battles in strongholds such as Mosul

to the Kurds and Iraqi Government, and you have been able to get both, the US

and Russia to agree that destroying you is in their best

interests It is safe to say that you have failed, politically

Lets look at your theological aim, to unite Islam under your flag

Looking at the numbers we can see that there are

1.6 billion Muslims in the world and you, have a mere 20 to 25 thousand followers

as per a CIA report in 2016 Even if we use your own bloated estimates,

We get a maximum value of 100 thousand followers That means roughly 0.0013% to 0.0063%

of muslims follow you.

If anything, you have united Muslims globally against your flag.

We can say that you have failed in your theological crusade

Next, let's look at your goal to topple western governments.

Through a series of targeted terror attacks You have attempted to devastate nations such

as France, Belgium, the United Kingdom and the

United States But, these states have maintained their global

power, they, have continued to posses stable and

powerful economies and they have continued to embrace the freedom

you so strongly oppose Even in the United States,

which is currently heavily divided on partisan lines

between the democrats and republicans All political figures can agree on one thing:

that you stink Even other groups that openly oppose the establishment

Such as Anonymous, have declared war on you For each innocent you murder in the west,

their battle against you is rejuvenated.

By massacring innocents you aim to demolish the west,

yet the west is as strong as ever You have failed to topple, or even weaken

western government Even economically, a significant portion of

your wealth Comes from raiding and looting the territory

you capture This is an extremely limited resource.

RAND estimated that only 5% of your funds come from donations

making your operation extremely unsustainable and doomed to complete economic collapse

Even your own fighters understand your failure on all fronts.

Recently, there has been an exodus of foreign fighters

from your supposed state, underscoring the fact

That even those who were once willing to give Their lives for you no longer have any faith

in you So, Dear ISIS, I congratulate you,

on once again proving to us, that you are nothing more than failures.

Two Tips To Get More from Your Creatine Monohydrate - Duration: 3:42.

Hey guys, Paul from Ultimate Fat Burner.com here and today I'm going to give you 2 quick

tips on how to get more from your creatine monohydrate.

I'll be right back in just a couple of seconds, stick around...

Hey alright welcome back.

In this video I'm going to give you two quick tips on how to get more from your creatine

monohydrate.

You'll find a link to the clinical studies that I used confirm these tips in the description

under this video - by all means check them out, they are there so you know I'm not just

making this stuff as I go along.

OK, let's get right to it with Tip #1, and it's all about getting more creatine into your muscles.

More creatine in your muscles equals more ability for work, and therefore a greater

adaptive response and more gains.

So, how do you get more creatine into your muscles?

Well, studies show that stacking it with certain ingredients can help.

One study stacked it with sucrose - which just simple sugar, and then a combination

of sucrose and alpha lipoic acid or ALA - a nutritional supplement that enhances glucose

uptake.

A study was conducted with 3 groups of participants...

Group #1 took 20 grams/day of creatine

Group #2 took 20 grams/day of creatine along with 100 grams per day of sucrose

Group #3 took 20 grams/day of creatine along 100 grams per day of sucrose AND 1,000 mg

of alpha lipoic acid....

So, what were the results?

Well, the study showed that the group ingesting the alpha lipoic acid along with their sucrose

and creatine had a significantly greater increase in phosphocreatine and total creatine.

So the moral of the story is...

Stacking your creatine with sucrose and ALA may get better results from the supplement.

If you want to try an experiment, do a 5-day loading phase with 20 grams of creatine monohydrate

per day, and stack it with 100 grams of sucrose and 1,000 mg of ALA.

After the 5 day loading cycle, you can go back to your 5 or 10 gram/day maintenance

dose and see what -if any -changes you notice in your training.

And of course, if you do this, please let us and our viewers know how it went the comments.

OK, so that's tip #1. So what's tip #2?

Tip #2 is to make sure you're taking pleny of whey protein when you use creatine.

One interesting study confirms this - this was performed on 3 groups...

1) A placebo group

2) A group that got approximately .55 grams of whey protein/per pound of bodyweight per

day.

In other words a 200 lbs person would be taking in almost 110 grams of whey protein per day.

3) And a 3rd group that got .55 grams whey protein/per pound of bodyweight per day and

.1 gram/kg of bodyweight per day of creatine monohydrate (a 200 lbs person would be taking

in 9 grams of creatine in addition to the whey protein).

The study found that although not all strength measures were improved by supplementation,

those who used the creatine / whey protein combination had greater increases in lean

tissue mass and bench press than those who supplemented with only whey protein or the placebo.

Alright guys, there you have it; 2 tips to get more out of your creatine monohydrate.

I really hope you enjoyed this video, and if you did it would be great it you could give it a thumb's up, and

if you think your friends would enjoy it, a share would be super cool too.

And of course, if you're not subscribed to this channel yet I have to ask you, why

aren't you?

All the cool kids are doing it.

Seriously, be great to have on board.

Thanks so much for watching and I'll see you again really soon.

LIVE ENGLISH LESSON and SUNDAY DROP IN CHAT - Sunday 28th May 2017 - English with Mr Duncan - Duration: 1:34:43.

Well hello there hi everybody and

welcome to my garden here in England on

a Sunday afternoon it is now coming up

to 3:45 on a Sunday afternoon it is mr.

Duncan live on YouTube as live as live

can be and already we have the live chat

open I hope you don't mind me

interrupting your Sunday but here I am

once again I have had quite a few

messages from people saying mr. Duncan

please where are you are you going to

appear on YouTube this Sunday so here I

am on a Sunday afternoon just for you so

I hope you are happy this weekend I hope

everything is going alright I have had

two or three complaints about my live

streams not many it would appear that

most people enjoy watching my live

streams but there are some people who

say that mr. Duncan can you please talk

more about English could you please use

more words could you please explain

English words to us to allow us to

expand our vocabulary well that is the

reason why I am here in fact as I'm

talking to you now I am using English so

all of the words you hear right now are

English words so everything you hear

everything that comes out of your

computer and into your ear is English so

even though I'm talking to you right now

you are still listening to English and

hopefully I really hope so

fingers crossed that you are learning

English with me right now of course one

of the difficulties of doing this sort

of thing is you can not please everyone

all the time

the problem with pleasing everyone is by

the time you've made all of the changes

you end up pleasing no one so it is very

difficult to keep everyone happy but

I do try my best to keep everyone happy

with my English classes so my live

stream serves many purposes first of all

you can hear English being spoken but

also you can hear it being spoken

spontaneously because I don't plan this

there is very little planning involved

so I just like to come into my garden

and say hello to you and of course you

have a chance to say hello to me because

we have the live chat so this is

completely interactive interactive

that's a great word isn't it so if

something is interactive it means that

everyone involved can join in so you can

interact with me and of course I can

interact with you as well so how has

your weekend being have you had a good

weekend I hope it's been a super time I

hope you've had a lovely weekend of

course here in the UK here in the UK

during the week we had some some

terrible events taking place but today I

hope that I that I can make things nice

and happy today so it has been a little

bit of a sad week here in the UK for

various reasons but today let's all have

a smile on our faces let's all stay

happy shall we positivity and a smile

can go a long way that's what I say

right we have the live chat up in

running of course I am trying to read it

on my tiny mobile phone screen so please

excuse me if I have difficulty reading

off the screen but the writing is very

very small so here we go the live chat

is up in running rush ed is here Maria

is here Alex is here for all those who

hate it when I say hello to people you

are not going to like the next few

moments so hello to hammy

hello to Vandy Vandy says hi hi to you

as well

Mara but I love your name by the way

her Mara but says I am Humaira from

Afghanistan hello to Afghanistan it's

very nice to see you here today everyone

is welcome to join in with my live

English chat on a Sunday Diego is here

Thank You Diego for joining me now jock

Nguyen is here Samina has decided to

join me today as well

Thank You Samina for dropping in some

people have asked mr. Duncan what does

drop-in mean so if you drop in it can

mean to call in somewhere or stop off

somewhere unexpectedly also it can mean

to stop off and visit someone for a

short time sometimes the visit can be

unexpected or a surprise visit so

drop-in means to call in somewhere or to

appear as a surprise so here I am now

dropping in on your Sunday and I hope

your Sunday is going very well where you

are in the world right now it's a lovely

day here yesterday wasn't so nice it was

a little bit gloomy and we had quite a

lot of rain yesterday but today the

weather isn't too bad it's a little

cloudy the birds are singing all around

me in fact this morning in my garden I

spotted not one not two but three baby

nuthatches so nuthatch and nuthatch is a

type of bird a very beautiful bird and

this morning I spotted three babies

being fed by one of the adults so that

was a lovely moment of time today if you

have any wonderful moments from your

weekend that you wish to share with me

you

were more than welcome to do so did

something nice happen this weekend

because today I want to keep everything

positive and happy Terry Chan is here

hello mr. Duncan my English teacher I am

I am now in Hong Kong Thank You Terry

for that hello from Chernobyl that's

that really are you sure about that

sure Knoblauch oh sorry I thought it

said Chernobyl then Bernardo is saying

hello there I thought you said two Nobel

two Nobel to Knoblauch I think that

might be in Russia

hello mr. Duncan I am Ana shan't

patro from India how are you I hope you

are happy I'm not too bad

even though we had some terrible events

taking place last week here in the UK

lots of people at the moment here and

around the world are talking about them

some some terrible moments of time took

place last week and many people are

still recovering from from the event

from last Monday mr. Duncan I am from

Brazil

Wesley hello Wesley Wesley Silva is

watching now and a big hello to Brazil

hi mr. Duncan through thorough and

throughout what are the differences

well thorough means complete or

completely so you do something

thoroughly if something is thorough it

means everything has been covered or

everything as being looked at so you

look at something thoroughly it is

thorough for example you can say

thorough investigation so a thorough

investigation means that everything that

could be looked at has been looked at

the investigation has been thorough and

throughout is a very different word

indeed so throughout means during

a particular time so throughout the day

or throughout the night so it means

during that time throughout lucero or

loot chero is here

really really hope so so a big hello to

Trini who is watching in Mexico doc 89

is here hi doc nice to see you oh I see

that was the that was the question about

Thoreau and throughout what are the

pronunciations okay I will say them

again thorough thorough throughout I

hope that helps

hello mr. crow mr. crow just said hello

are you okay mr. d'Ancona says Eddie I

am okay I am super duper today because

the weather is nice

yesterday it was raining but fortunately

today the weather is much nicer as you

can see the Sun is out

shining on me which of course makes

reading your texts very difficult to do

because it's very very bright Sakura is

here hello mr. Duncan from Iraq we all

love you here

Thank You Sakura for tuning in today on

my live stream for a Sunday afternoon it

is now coming up to 4 o'clock already

Mahmood dude is here

hi mr. Duncan from Egypt hello there hi

mr. Duncan how are you today my teacher

quien fee is here hi quien where are you

watching at the moment has something

nice happened this weekend

have you done something special or nice

this weekend yesterday I went into town

I went to walk into town and I had a

lovely lunch yesterday I had roast

chicken yesterday ah it was absolutely

gorgeous

very nice I do apologize if there are

any vegetarians watching at the moment

but I do like eating meat I will be

honest I was trying to make a joke mr.

Duncan I misspelled two Noble but I am

from South Korea oh okay then thank you

Bernardo I'm not sure if that was a joke

really I don't think it was very funny

to be honest hello sir I am Remy from

Syria hello Remy watching in Syria at

the moment thank you for joining me on

this Sunday afternoon here in England

it's very peaceful here today very quiet

all you can hear is my voice and the

sound from the birds

hello mr. Duncan how you feeling today

thanks Pedro I'm not too bad today I

mustn't grumble as I always say things

could always be worse

Mahmood hi mr. Duncan it is the first

time that I write to you on the live

chat please read my message Thank You

Mahmood once again and welcome to the

live chat I know it must sound very

strange it must seem very unusual if you

can actually type and talk to someone

for the first time I think so I think it

must feel very unusual mr. Duncan can

you please say privet privet of course I

know privet privet means hello in

Russian Rash ed says I hope you are

feeling good and happy my teacher thank

you very much for your videos and your

live streams well I have had some people

complain about my live streams because

it would appear that I not using English

no apparently I'm not teaching enough

English so I do apologize but everything

that you hear here now everything that

you hear on this livestream is English

mr. Duncan Andrew is here what was the

most recent film you enjoyed watching I

did watch a very nice movie a few nights

ago called Philomena it's a very nice

British made film and it talks about

some historical moments of time that

happened years ago that are affecting

people today

very nice film a very funny film but

also a very serious film sometimes a

movie can be funny and serious at the

same time I'm sure you know what I mean

so the nice movie that I saw a few

nights ago is called Philomena I suggest

you watch it it's a very good movie

hello mr. blackbird mr. Blackbird is now

singing just above my head how lovely

mr. Duncan thank you so much you are

amazing thank you Lucero or Lucero for

that ibrahim is here what can I do to

improve my speaking especially because I

don't meet any American people well you

don't have to talk to American people to

practice English you can talk to anyone

who is interested in English so they

don't have to be American and they don't

have to be British either so maybe you

can find some other people in your area

who is interested in learning English so

this is a very common problem certainly

in countries where very few people speak

English as a first or second language so

there are lots of people learning

English in countries where not many

people speak English on a daily basis

but my suggestions are you could create

your own group in

your area so maybe you could put

something in a newspaper or on a notice

board or even through the internet

through Facebook perhaps you could form

your own group also perhaps you could

get used to using English by recording

your own voice the Blackbird is very

excited so you could record your own

voice on your mobile phone and listen to

it but I think it's a good idea to find

other people who are also interested in

learning English so perhaps you could

create your own group maybe you could

create your own English group so that is

my suggestion for that I have a fly that

keeps landing on me I think I think it's

in love with me mr. Duncan how old is

mr. blackbird I'm not sure but he seems

very happy at the moment he's just above

my head singing perhaps instead of

listening to me maybe we could listen to

the Blackbird for a few moments let's

have a listen to the Blackbird shall we

okay that's enough that's enough black

birding

hello mr. Duncan I am from Sudan and I

love you and to all all Sudanese love

you as well how can I improve my English

with movies - please give me effective

tips are you sir doger or is a dog there

are many ways of using movies or DVDs to

improve your English I always suggest

that if you want to learn English by

using movies it is a good idea to have

maybe a piece of paper and a pen nearby

so you can write words down so perhaps

you are watching a DVD and perhaps you

are also watching the subtitles on the

DVD well if there are any words that you

don't understand you can also write them

down you can always write them down on a

piece of paper and you can look them up

later in a dictionary or online so there

are many ways of using DVDs or movies or

even YouTube videos you can also use my

videos to help you as well don't forget

my live streams later we'll have

subtitles underneath captions so you can

use these live streams after they have

finished to help you to learn

pronunciation and of course maybe if

there are any words you don't understand

you can write them down and look them up

hello Duncan now G is here watching

thank you very much for that

hello mister don't go from AB MA

hello AB MA hi how are you today

Kristina Kovac says life is so short and

the craft is so long to learn well it

depends what you're learning really I

suppose with English you can learn

English over a period of time it doesn't

take you all of your life though don't

worry about that I know it takes a long

time to learn any language but it

doesn't take all of your life trust me

mr. Duncan oh this is lovely says Rash

ed d hi rash ed and welcome to my live

chat this is just an informal drop-in

for a Sunday afternoon it is now five

minutes past four o'clock the Blackbird

really does want to become a star on

YouTube I think I'm mr. Duncan says kyun

fee hello ki n thanks for joining me

today also we have we have a few viewers

from China watching at the moment of

course China for many years has blocked

YouTube so Google and YouTube are in

fact blocked in China but of course

there are many ways of watching YouTube

in China you can use what they call a

VPN you can go around the firewall mr.

Duncan I am confused with the

pronunciation of the flap T some people

say we pronounce it as R is it correct

well I suppose it depends what word you

are saying which word you are trying to

pronounce mr. Duncan I love your lessons

I have a problem in pronouncing the P

and th sound ah yes I agree with you I

think the th sound the sound that

normally comes at the beginning of this

and that there those them the so I think

yes that is probably one of the hardest

sounds in English language to get right

I remember when I was in China many of

my Chinese students used to say ver ver

which of course is not correct you

should say the left the with your tongue

so you put your tongue between your lips

and gently between your teeth as well

but you don't want to blow too hard or

else you will spit everywhere so just do

it very gently this this that so it is a

very hard sound to make I agree in fact

I remember many years ago during my time

in China

so many of my students had difficulty

with that sound also I think the other

difficult sound is the the sound of

w-wha and of course the sound at the end

of Idi so words that end with Idi wanted

wanted wanted so the sound is almost

like a tea at the end so wanted wanted

so if you listen very carefully the

sound isn't actually one Ted wanted it's

wanted wanted so it almost sounds like

it ends with the T sound so words that

end with e D like

did hunted the sound is almost like tea

at the end

hi mr. Duncan I'm from Paraguay in Latin

America your videos are so cool Thank

You Willie Ann Willie Ann for your

lovely message there Leon Leon Louie

Oh Louie says nothing is impossible for

a willing heart ah Wow I really like

that expression thank you very much for

that yes there are VPNs in China if you

want to get around the Great Firewall of

China of course when we talk about

firewalls we normally mean something

that blocks the way so a firewall is

something that blocks the way so if you

try to access a certain website the

firewall will stop you it will prevent

you but of course there are VPNs which

allow you to go around around the

firewall very interesting

hi mr. Duncan this is a beautiful Sunday

over there

thank you Ching the G for that yes it's

not too bad the weekend here yesterday

was a little bit started off a little

unsettled with a little rain but today

it's not too bad

have you done anything nice this weekend

as something nice happened this weekend

did you do something interesting or

perhaps you are spending your Sunday

doing very little yes why do some

singers sing tea instead of th I'm not

sure the problem is when you sing you

don't pronounce words in the same way as

if you are speaking them so always

remember that always remember that if

you hear as a person singing a song the

pronunciation of many of the words or

letters might be different

another interesting fact is the fact

that even if you have a very strong

accent you tend to sing without an

accent so you might have noticed that

when you hear American singers or

British singers singing together quite

often it is very hard to tell which one

is the British person and which one is

the American and that's because the

accent becomes very neutral it's very

neutral when you sing mr. Duncan we use

VPM to get access to the most popular

Russian tracker to download stuff yes I

would imagine uh well I remember of

course from my time in China many years

ago when I was there many of the sites

that existed outside China were blocked

but of course when I was in China

YouTube was not blocked and in fact that

is when I started making my videos on

YouTube so I actually created my YouTube

channel whilst still in China so it just

shows how times have changed over the

years

so when I was in China ten years ago

there there was no block on YouTube

YouTube was free you could watch it

without being blocked Samar Samar

Shaheen asks how can I develop my

English fluency I always get afraid of

talking with others in English ah now

that sounds to me as if you are having

difficulty with your confidence because

of course many people find learning

English to be easy and difficult there

are parts of learning English that are

very difficult and one of the worst ones

one of the hardest parts is speaking in

front of other people

to be honest even if you are a native

speaker like me sometimes it can be very

daunting it can be very nerve-racking it

can make you feel very nervous or afraid

to speak in front of other people so I

agree with you

even if you speak English as a first

language it can be very difficult to

speak in front of other people some

people feel very nervous talking

generally some people can be very shy

mushy asks mr. Duncan

do you like the durian Dorian's are a

type of fruit they look a little bit

like a pineapple on the outside they are

they are spiky and green in color but

inside the flesh is very soft and yellow

and it tastes quite delicious but there

is one problem with the durian the

durian tastes sorry

smells terrible it smells like rotting

fruit or maybe a dead animal so a durian

tastes quite nice but smells disgusting

so yes I remember the durian from my

time in Malaysia because I have been to

Malaysia many times in the past long the

juin says he needs more like friends I

don't know what that means

so yes I do know what the doing is I am

very aware of what it is hello mr.

Duncan from Vietnam this is the first

time that I can see you live on YouTube

Li Ming dang thank you very much for

that I know that I have lots of people

watching in Vietnam I get some lovely

messages from my Vietnamese viewers so

you are very welcome and a big hello

once again to Lee

mean for joining me today on my live

chat and it's your first time as well

isn't it exciting I think so Qi and X is

that your real name I'm not sure gene X

asks how old are you ah that is such a

personal question why are people so

interested in my age

I do not know mr. Duncan I think your

lives are very useful Thank You Maria

because you use everyday language yes

this is just the way in which people

speak normally so the things I'm saying

now this isn't technical English this

isn't difficult English this is everyday

English so the English I'm using now is

the sort of English that you will be

using in your everyday life so yes I

agree with you Maria thank you very much

for that many people commenting on my

accent a lot of people say your accent

is so lovely thank you very much for

that it's very kind of you although

having said that I don't speak like the

Queen the Queen of England has a very

posh accent hello this is Her Majesty

the Queen saying hello to you on a

Sunday afternoon so that's how the Queen

speaks I do have an accent a lot of

people say that I don't have an accent

but I actually do the place I was born

in is is a place called Stafford and

Stafford all the people that live in

that area have a very particular way of

speaking for example we say bath bath

while other people say bath bath I'm

going to take a bath I would say I'm

going to take a bath bath so you can

hear that the

a sound is very harsh and sharp whereas

with other people they might say bath or

par or fast MA who'd says mr. Duncan

answer me please teacher do you know a

Ramadan month yes I've heard of it I am

aware of other things in the world yes I

know all about Ramadan thank you very

much for that mr. Duncan your accent is

so clear just like me

thank you rash aired thank you very much

for that well of course one of the best

ways to improve your English accent is

to listen to other people using English

and that is one of the ways in which my

video lessons can help you yes indeed

what is your internet speed mr. Duncan

asks and zonic my internet speed I think

it's around about about fifty maybe

fifty five megabytes per second so it's

very fast I do have quite a good in can

internet connection here even though I

live in the countryside because one of

the big problems with living in the

countryside is quite often you get very

bad internet speed but here the internet

speed is very fast very fast so around

about 50 megabytes per second here I'm

very lucky I really do thank you for

sharing this video to give people a

chance to learn rare Ram tarney Thank

You Ram tarney for that you are very

very welcome

no problem mahute Mahmood says yes you

are very welcome yes I do know a lot

about other things besides English so

yes I am aware that Ramadan is taking

place at the moment so lots of people

are observing that period of time thank

you you are more than welcome and so are

you no problem I hope you are

this weekend I'm not going to stay here

for much longer I have already been on

for how long let's just have a look I

have now been on for I don't know I'm

guessing around about 40 minutes I think

I've been on at the moment unfortunately

YouTube is being very awkward at the

moment it's not showing me how long I've

been on for I have no idea why

Oh Deary me it's very hard using YouTube

on your mobile phone

do you have the same problem I find

sometimes that the YouTube app doesn't

work very well so that's the reason why

more often than not I like to do my live

streams in the studio because then I can

use YouTube much more easier so lots of

people now in the live chat thank you

very much

Sonia I think Sonia is watching in China

I spend a lot of money to to pay for the

VPN account yes that's one of the

problems with using VPNs quite often you

have to pay and sometimes you have to

pay a lot of money to use a VPN yes I

remember that I really have to thank you

for sharing this video thank you once

again to Ram tarney for that it's very

kind of you mr. Duncan you have an

insect on your hat really oh yes is that

an insect oh no it isn't it's gone

I think it's flown away now yes there

are lots of flies out here today one of

the problems with living in the

countryside is quite often you get lots

of insects flying around and some of

them are very annoying they are a pain

in the arse

mr. Duncan your pronunciation is very

clear but can you explain to us what you

do to pronounce sounds unnecessarily at

the end of words like disgusting well

you can pronounce G at the end so some

people cut or they clip the end of words

off for example running running you can

hear that there's no G at the end but

some people say running I'm going

running so you can hear that the G is

pronounced so it really depends on the

accent and this is something that I have

to keep explaining again and again and

again that within the English language

there are many many different types of

accent now some accents will pronounce

the words very clearly whilst other

accents will clip the words if you clip

a word it means you make it shorter you

you cut part of the word off so for

example if you say running you can say

running you can hear the G at the end

while other people might say runnin

runnin I went running last night so you

can tell what I'm saying

you still know that I'm saying running

running running you see so quite often

the way words are pronounced depends on

the accent that's being used at the time

I have pressed the like button mr.

Duncan please do it to support our

teacher thank you Huang mu and don't

forget also I have been nominated for an

award out of many many YouTube teachers

so underneath this video underneath

there is a link that you can click to

vote for hopefully mr. Duncan so if you

want to vote for me the link is

underneath this video

and you are more than welcome to vote

for mr. Duncan that's me by the way we

hope thank you we hope you will visit us

one day in Egypt who knows there are so

many places in the world that I would

love to visit I would love to explore

there is a lovely phrase that goes

travel broadens the mind so yes I think

it's a very good expression hi I am Mary

so or morisot from Florence have you

ever be have you ever given a lesson in

London I've never taught in London I've

always wanted to go to London to film a

lesson outside but the problem is

nowadays it is very hard to film in

capital cities such as London or

Birmingham so because of all of the

problems at the moment with security

certainly in the big cities it is very

hard to walk around with a camera and a

microphone filming it's very hard to do

it at the moment

so I've always wanted to go to London

and do some filming there and make an

English lesson in London but the problem

is it's so hard nowadays to do it

because the moment you set up a camera

and a microphone the moment you do it

someone will come up to you and ask what

you are doing they will be very

suspicious it's a very sad indictment on

our modern society it's very very very

sad and - dawn is here hi auntie dawn

nice to see you back again we are having

a seafood salad for dinner tonight what

are your plans tonight I am having some

salmon ah yes I'm having some poached

salmon tonight

to be honest with you I'm not a very big

fan of shellfish so I like fish such as

salmon and mackerel and cod but I don't

like prawns or lobster or crab I'm not a

big fan of craps to be honest I don't

like crabs I don't like eating crabs I

don't like eating lobsters and I don't

like eating prawns because they look

like little worms and also sometimes if

you eat prawns sometimes the poo will

still be inside so sometimes when you're

eating prawns if they haven't cleaned

the prawns properly not only are you

eating the prawns but you are also

eating the poop as well hmm

so I do like seafood but I don't like

shellfish mr. Duncan Luke has asks do

you feel safe in the UK my answer to

that is yes I feel very safe here in the

UK mr. Duncan when will be your next

lesson it is so sad to miss them bye

from Pierre and Irene Thank You Pierre

for that well from next week because of

course June is just around the corner so

from next week I will start doing

regular live streams now some of these

live streams will be in the studio and

some of them will be outside so I will

be talking about different subjects and

also in some of the live streams we will

be taking a look at some of my other

lessons as well and also I will be

introducing new words new expressions

and taking your comments and questions

as well so from next Sunday which I

believe is June the 4th next Sunday I

will be here

five on YouTube next Sunday I hope you

will join me then for Wang Tao who is

here

hi mr. Duncan long time no see I'm back

hi mr. Duncan

what about function words content and

function words well yes of course they

are also very useful definitely well are

they good for having good intonation

well again intonation depends on what

you are trying to say so sometimes if

you are using a word negatively but the

word itself is positive then you are

using two different types of intonation

there so for example you might say that

something is good but really you don't

mean it

or maybe you are giving a negative

meaning to the word so maybe you want to

say good but really you want to say bad

so instead you will say good great

brilliant so even though the words are

positive words the intonation is

negative and quite often in English it

is possible to say something that is

positive normally but the intonation

makes it negative

sarcasm is another way of doing that so

sarcasm quite often takes positive words

or positive meanings and turns them

around to mean something negative

perhaps you are waiting for someone

maybe you are meeting a friend for an

appointment and they are late and you

are looking at your watch and you are

waiting for them to arrive and you are

getting very impatient then suddenly

your friend appears

and you say oh good you're early or oh

good you're on time but really you're

being sarcastic so quite often sarcasm

is used negatively in court in fact all

the time so sarcasm is a negative thing

but quite often we use positive words in

a sarcastic way so you can say oh good

you're here but really you're not being

positive you are actually being negative

you are saying something negative mr.

Duncan it's nice to see you please could

you suggest a few English books there

are many many English books

I'm not going to advertise English books

here but of course there are many many

textbooks many books that are available

in training centers and also libraries

as well and online as well mr. Duncan

Lorenzo says there are many vegetarian

restaurants where you live not around

here No

many of the cafes and restaurants around

here all serve meat but of course on the

menu they have vegetarian meals so if

you want to eat a vegetarian meal you

can so many restaurants and cafes around

this area they give you a choice so you

can have meat or you can have just

vegetables if you are a vegetarian that

Blackbird has become the star of today's

live stream in fact that Blackbird has

said more than me thank you for your

answer mr. Duncan a big bonjour from

pierre irene and bicoff the dog

wrapper a big woof 2 bicoff the dog mr.

Duncan

could you suggest anything to develop my

grammar skills

well developing anything means doing it

again and again quite often with grammar

a good way of improving your grammar is

to listen to other people using English

that is probably the best tip I can give

you so if you want to improve your

English the best thing to do is to

listen to other people using English and

of course reading what is written can

also help you to improve your grammar as

well mr. Duncan how is it hanging it's

hanging very well today it's hanging

well I am going to be in the UK on

Saturday I would love to visit your

green compound I've never had my garden

described as a compound before it makes

it sound like a prison I would love to

visit your green compound and listen to

the birds sound thank you believed I

hope you have a super time in England

mr. Duncan can I suggest a subject for

one of your videos I really need a video

about teaching methodology methodology

of what methodology is just a way of

doing something so the method

methodology is how you do something do

you mean the methodology of learning

Israel si has voted for me oh thank you

very much don't forget the link is

underneath this video so underneath the

video there is a link that will take you

to the list of English teachers and if

you could click on mr. Duncan I would be

ever so pleased thank you very much for

that mr. Duncan how are you good to see

you Sammy Sammy KJ or Kuja thank you

very much Sami for saying hello

also the Ukraine is here Ukraine hello

to you thanks a lot for joining me today

in our Co n hinako is now going to sleep

sayonara from hinako I think you are in

Japan I think so so good night to you

hello mr. Duncan tonight will we know oh

yes of course the Cannes Film Festival

is taking place

hello mr. Duncan tonight we will know

the winner of the Cannes Festival I'm

not sure who the nominees are today I

did super Mikado my list was all in good

English experience says Zhu glass drew

glass

oh hello Zhu glass I don't think I've

ever said hello to you before is it your

first time here mr. Duncan how can you

talk for so long like that I am very

impressed with you thank you fan for

that yes this is something that I've

done for many years and as you can see

it is possible to speak English for a

very long period of time but the only

way I can do this the reason why I am so

good at doing this is because I have

practiced so for many many years I have

practiced speaking I always have

something to say I always have something

prepared in my brain and that is one of

the secrets of being able to talk about

something the reason why I am able to

talk for long periods of time is because

I always have something ready up here

you always have something prepared in

your brain ready to say so that is the

secret of doing this always have

something ready to say Fung Tao asks do

you know how to learn vocabulary with a

lazy girl like me I want to improve my

speaking well I'm sorry I am going to

have to be very blunt with you if you

are lazy if you spend a lot of time

thinking about learning but you don't do

it maybe you want to just sit around and

watch television or go outside to play

with your friends or maybe chat on your

mobile phone instead of learning then

your progress will be very slow indeed

so I think the the phrase I'm looking

for is lazy people never succeed if you

are lazy then there is a good chance

that you will not succeed learning

anything means that you have to put a

lot of time and a lot of effort into

doing it so being lazy will get you

nowhere unfortunately unless of course

you win the lottery but there's very

little chance of that happening

sometimes you have to roll your sleeves

up and get stuck in trust me how are you

doing mr. Duncan please give me one

brilliant idea to develop my speaking

skills Thank You Jam she John well as I

often mention there are many ways of

improving your spoken English you can

listen to your voice you can listen to

other people using English so - to learn

to speak quite often means doing other

things as well like listening to other

people speaking and of course listening

to yourself

hi mr. Duncan which British accent

sounds the most attractive for your ears

to be honest I don't really have a

favorite so some people say that certain

accents sound bad or sound very harsh on

the year

many people say that my accent is very

nice to listen to but that's because

I've had years and years of practice and

of course I use English in my work so if

you are an English teacher it is always

a good idea to to speak clearly or else

your students won't understand what

you're saying but know that there are

lots of lovely English accents I do like

the southern accents in the South of

England

I do like like Cornish accent I do think

the Cornish accent is very lovely it's

very soothing mr. Duncan I hope to visit

England this year and I will be studying

at the LSC Stanton school and then I

will be willing to do a masters and

doctorate in the English language I hope

to be great Thank You Mahmood well you

only get out of learning what you put in

you only get out of it what you put in

so the more you work the harder you work

the more effort you put in the more you

will get out Jamila Jamila is here hello

Jamila what is your favourite fruit

that's easy

mangoes I absolutely love the mango I am

crazy about mangoes mangoes and also

strawberries as well I do like

strawberries especially with some cream

so strawberries with a little bit of

cream on top very nice hi mr. Duncan I

need to improve my pronunciation in the

past it is very hard I am from the

Dominican Republic do you mean past

tense so yes one of the most confusing

parts of learning English is the fact

that we have words that mean things that

are happening now and things that

happened in the past so quite often

learn

past-tense can be very difficult because

you don't have to just learn one word

you have to learn more than one word so

for example a word that you are doing

now might not be the same as the word

for something you did earlier sex tar is

here hello I haven't seen you for a long

time where have you been I haven't seen

you for ages

mr. Duncan I think your live chat

participants has been increasing yes I

think so I think my live chats are

becoming very popular one of the hardest

parts of doing this is explaining why

I'm doing it because it's a new concept

this is very new and unusual there are

not many people doing this on YouTube in

fact if you go onto YouTube and if you

look for live streams on YouTube there

aren't many people doing it and that's

because it's very difficult to do it's

not easy to stand in front of a camera

and talk for a long period of time it's

very difficult to do some people say mr.

Duncan you make this look so easy you

make it look so simple because you you

just talk in front of the camera so

naturally well that's because I've been

doing it for many years you can't be a

shy teacher really if you are a shy

person I think it's very hard to become

a teacher very hard mr. Duncan can you

make a joke with a deadpan face

that's what deadpan means if you do

something with a deadpan face it means

you have no expression I went to the

doctor's the other day I said doctor

doctor people keep ignoring me and the

doctor replied next please I'm so happy

so--that's deadpan that's what deadpan

means deadpan means you have no

expression on your face you do it with a

straight face

hello mr. Duncan from Turkey yes I've

been to Turkey in the past a beautiful

place

I am from Turkey you are the best I

would like to visit you and meet you

is it possible oh I don't know about

that do you like to eat durian fruit yes

I tried to eat durian fruit when I was

in Malaysia I think I talked about that

earlier today yes I've already talked

about that mr. Duncan please tell me

where you are now now I am in England I

am standing in my garden in England so

this stream you are watching now is live

from England hello there hello mr.

Duncan I am from Kyrgyzstan it is a

little country in Central Asia now it is

the season of strawberries ah please

save some strawberries for me I love

strawberries so much they are delicious

I'm jealous very jealous I really like

your garden mr. Duncan I want to say I

want to you to have I want to have a

garden like it thank you

who N for that yes my garden is

looking very nice today because of

course many of the plants have now come

into bloom can you see the plant over

there there is a bush over there can you

see it it is very beautiful very pink

lots of small pink flowers are now

growing on that bush can you see it

very beautiful Norma is here Norma

Quesada hi mr. Duncan what a lovely

surprise I always enjoy your live

streams you are a great teacher I've

learned a lot with you Thank You Norma

for that thank you for joining me today

mr. Duncan you are more than welcome

thank you very much for that hello mr.

Duncan are you a vegan I am NOT a vegan

I do like eating meat I really do I love

chicken and I love eating beef and also

lamb I have to be careful what I say

because around here there are lots of

baby lambs and also cows and also at the

back of my house just just behind the

camera there are some bulls so I have to

be careful what I'm saying but I have to

be honest with you and say that I do

like eating meat yes I like to get my

mouth around some meat now and again mr.

Duncan why are you in a high place I am

in a high place at the moment yes well

my house is very high up so that's the

reason why so everything you see here is

very high up we have a very nice view

from here

hello mr. Duncan it's so great to see

you again on YouTube

Katerina hello there I haven't seen you

for a long time thank you for joining me

today

that Blackbird has been there all the

way through this live broadcast one of

the things I love about this garden is

the birds are so used to me now if I

come outside the birds will just land

next to me there because they are so

used to me being here they have become

accustomed to my presence so so all of

the birds don't care if I come outside

they have become very used to me they

are accustomed to my presence mr. Duncan

could you please advise me about your

video lesson should I watch them or

translate them without without it

it depends it's up to you so my video

lessons are there for you to use so some

people will will just want to listen to

them some people will want to use them

to learn new words or to practice their

pronunciation so there are many ways in

which you can use my video lessons son

yeah hello Sonia thanks for joining me

the birds are very lovely yes there are

so many birds at the moment in my garden

at the moment you can hear the black

bird that is a black bird at the moment

singing next to me but also we have lots

of other birds as well including blue tits

great tits long tail tits also chaffinces as well

and what else?

green finches gold finches although the

other night something very sad happened

in my garden something very sad and not

very not very pleasant

a small Goldfinch was feeding on one of

my bird feeders and as I came round the

corner the bird flew away

in surprise and sadly it flew into one

of my windows so it went 'bunk' on the

window it flew into the window and sadly

it died unfortunately so it does happen

now and again, now and again birds

will fly...into the window they will

hit the window as they fly away so I did

feel a little bit guilty because I

suppose because I came round the corner

and I startled the bird

I gave it a shock it flew away but sadly

it flew into the window and sadly died

so not a very pleasant moment Cuong vu

says mr. duncan your accent is so clear

and lovely to hear thank you very much

for that

you are welcome I love you mr. Duncan

says Triple H thank you very much for

that I listen to your videos at night

before going to bed well of course yes I

think that's a very good idea many

people nowadays like to learn things

whilst they are sleeping or whilst they

are resting or meditating so yes that's

a very good idea hello Maria from the

mood I have heard your name from mr.

Duncan many times you are welcome in the

live chat Thank You Mahmood for saying

hello to Maria Maria I've just met a

girl called Maria I can't do without

your live streams mr. Duncan I think I

have the bug I think I might be addicted

to your live streams oh I see Thank You

Jamila for that maybe the bird that flew

into the glass was blind no I don't

think it was blind it was just surprised

I think because I came round the corner

very suddenly

I think the bird was startled I think

because I came round the corner

suddenly the bird was startled and it

flew away but unfortunately it flew in

the wrong direction

it flew towards the house and into the

glass unfortunately it doesn't happen

very often though it only happens once

or twice a year so it doesn't happen all

the time although having said that

sometimes the pigeons the big pigeons

will fly into the glass that makes a

very loud noise as well when they do

that Maria is here Maria again Maria in

books we use at school there is a rule

which says the sound of Mg pronounced

with the nose yes it is a kind of nasal

sound

mmm-hmm like sung song so when you

pronounce words that end with n g ng

such as sung the sound comes not only

from your mouth but also from your nose

as well it's a sort of nasal sound so

the sound doesn't just come from your

mouth but also from your nose as well

and the ng sound is a very good example

of that sung song so when you say that

word you can you can feel you can feel

the vibration in your nose as you say it

hello from Moscow cheevus is here she

vas hello and a big privet to Moscow

crisix

is here you are the best I love you mr.

Duncan thank you Chris Hawk for that

Derek says I think you have fallen in

love we

Maria it is actually a song from a

musical show called West Side Story

Maria I just met a girl called Maria

Palmyra

from Lithuania in the Baltic Sea says

have you ever been to the Baltic Sea

I've never been there now I haven't mr.

Duncan could you say something to us

with an American accent I don't know why

why do you want me to do that Jamelia

says I love West Side Story the musical

lalalalalala merica la la la la America

that is also from West Side Story mr.

Duncan I have a topic for my class and I

find that I have trouble in

understanding it clearly universities

should not accept equal numbers of male

and female students in every subject can

you give me some suggestions what they

are saying is that equal numbers means

the same amount so if something exists

or if something is done in equal numbers

it means the same amount the same amount

mr. Duncan I hope you remember me very

well so please don't forget my name

Thank You Mahmood I wish I had a song to

go with my mood but there isn't one

unfortunately what do you think about

Russia mr. Duncan do you like Russian

girls it's very personal cheevus thank

you very much for that Emmy is here Emmy

Darwood I think it's your first time

here isn't it Emmy I don't I don't

recall your name so maybe it's your

first time Derek says the song

here is by the maestro Bernstein yes of

course you are right mr. Duncan I'm not

going to say anything with an American

accent I could say have a nice day

but that's all mr. Duncan can you tell

us something about a tongue twister

tongue twister and give us some examples

Pluta lova well of course there is

Peter Piper and as we all know Peter

Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers

Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled

peppers that is a tongue twister you see

Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled

peppers if Peter Piper picked a peck of

pickled peppers how many pecks did

peeper Peter Piper pick that sort of

thing so that is a good example of a

tongue twister mr. Duncan thank you very

much for coming back to the live stream

the other teachers on YouTube simply

can't compare to you Thank You Joel for

that I was going to sing a song then

nothing compares to mr. Duncan that's

very kind of you the dot that the bird

has gone now unfortunately sadly the

bird has flown away Amy says this is not

my first time here Nelson is here as

well thank you mr. Duncan do you believe

in aliens

do-do-do-do-do-do

hmm like the x-files maybe who do I

believe in aliens I don't believe that

aliens are here now because some people

believe that you see they believe that

the aliens are here right now but

between you and me I don't believe it

I don't believe it at all no so no I

don't believe that there are aliens here

maybe out there somewhere

maybe out in space there are aliens

flying around in their spaceships who

knows

Douglas says livelesson shopping in a

supermarket could you do it could I do

livelesson in a supermarket that would

be very easy and simple I think people

would complain hello do you have some

bread that's it end of lesson mr. Duncan

can you bring out some cockney rhyming

slang there are many different types of

cockney rhyming slang for example you

can have apple and pears apple in pairs

means stairs so if you go up the Apple

in pairs if you go up the Apple pears it

means you go up the stairs Apple and

pears stairs also there is trouble and

strife do you know what trouble and

strife means trouble and strife means

wife dog and bone do you know what dog

and bone means in cockney rhyming slang

dog and bone means phone so if you talk

to someone on the dog in bone you talk

to them on the phone so cockney rhyming

slang is a form of language where you

use words that sound like other words

Shiv ass says London is the most

beautiful city

in the world I think so London is a very

vibrant place lad gel says I don't Adam

and Eve it yes that's another form of

cockney rhyming slang Adam and Eve means

believe I don't Adam and Eve it I don't

believe it

brilliant thank you very much for that

hello mr. Duncan I appreciate your time

very much

now juoh thank you very much for that I

will be going very soon because I have

been on for around about one hour and 10

minutes can you believe it I have been

on for so long today quite a long

livestream I'm now getting requests for

songs now I have to be very careful if I

sing songs because perhaps YouTube where

will will block me because of the

copyright you see so I have to be very

careful if I start singing songs because

YouTube might punish me Baeza Baeza is

now watching in Turkey hello once again

to Turkey I know I have lots of people

watching in Turkey and of course in the

past I have visited Turkey I have been

to Turkey twice and of course I have

made an English lesson in Turkey so I

did go to Turkey a few years ago and I

did actually film an English lesson in

Turkey it's true

Emmy Dawood has said that Ramadan is

beginning yes I know a lot of people

today have told me that so yes I am

aware self PMX says hello mr. Duncan I

am in China hello to China me how I am

very happy when you are online on

YouTube thank you very much and it is

nice to see so many people watching in

China at the moment because of course

YouTube

is blocked in China met a met a says you

went to Turkey where did you go I went

to a couple of places I went to a place

called fethiye and also another place

called cash mr. Duncan have you ever

been to Russia I've never been to Russia

but it is a place that I would love to

visit one day I am very intrigued by

Russia which films do you like mr.

Duncan I am getting some interesting

questions some things about the the

types of things I like I know I get

asked these questions many many times

before so I will quickly say that I do

like science fiction films

I like watching films that are science

fiction themed so Star Wars Star Trek of

course this year the new Blade Runner

film is coming out so I'm very very

excited about that Derek says that

London is my heart there is a song about

someone leaving their heart in San

Francisco I left my heart in San

Francisco high up a hill it calls to me

sorry

what about us Becca Stan have you heard

of it yes I have I have I have

definitely heard of as Becca Stan thank

you Jamie Sean thank you very much for

that I am going to go in a moment

because I have been here for around

about one hour and 15 minutes it must be

at least so I am going to go in a moment

thank you very much for your company

don't forget if you want to vote for me

in the competition there is a voting

contest at the moment underneath there

is a link to the list and if you could

vote

or mr. Duncan that's me I would be very

very happy mr. Duncan

what sitcom do you like the best Thank

You jameelah a sitcom is a situation

comedy so sitcom is two words that are

joined together sitcom situation comedy

so normally a sitcom is a TV show with

lots of humorous things taking place so

yes I used to watch The Big Bang Theory

but I don't watch that anymore because

it's not very funny anymore so I used to

watch The Big Bang Theory but now I

don't watch it Thank You mr. Duncan for

everything you've done thank you how do

you do the live streams please tell me

how do I do them let me just say that to

do this you need to have lots of

technical equipment you need to have a

camera you need to have a very good

computer you need to have very fast

internet speed you need to have lots and

lots of wires so yes to do these live

streams is very technical very technical

indeed mr. Duncan I want you to do a

live stream from London I would love to

do that but I don't live in London I

live very far from London and also it

isn't very easy to do live streams from

the centre of London because if you use

cameras in the street quite often they

will stop you from doing it so it's very

hard to film in the streets in London

it's very hard maybe I could go to the

YouTube offices because of course

YouTube have some offices in London so

perhaps I could go to London and do a

livestream from YouTube from their

headquarters in London what do you think

about that a good idea mr. Duncan where

were you born not where did you born

where were you born mr. Duncan where

were you born

where were you born I was born in a

place called Stafford mr. Duncan nice

places fethiye and cash both of them are

vacation places that I really love I

follow you every week and I love you so

much thanks for turkey Thank You mitt

for that you are very kind I've got

little insects walking all over my body

now because I've been standing here for

so long all of the insects are starting

to land on me the black bird has come

back the black bird has returned isn't

that nice

lovely it is great to see you here mr.

Duncan even if you're leaving now I have

just arrived but it was so nice to see

that you have decided to come back to

the live streams yes I did I did two

live streams last week I did one on

Sunday and also I did one last Wednesday

as well and don't forget next Sunday I

will start doing my regular live streams

next Sunday Sunday June the 4th I will

begin doing my regular live streams so I

hope to see you next Sunday from 2

o'clock UK time so between 2 o'clock and

4 o'clock I will be here next Sunday

live and guess what I will be here every

Sunday how's that are you surprised

I think so so I hope you will join me

then

I think mr. Duncan you could be a very

good actor Thank You Maria

for that I'm not sure about that I've

never tried acting in my life a lot of

people think I am an actor but I'm not

honestly

this is me this is the real mr. Duncan

this is this is not an act trust me

it's okay mr. Duncan I just wanted to

make something very different

so please we need a surprise and a new

thing from you yes of course I will be

here next Sunday I will be in the studio

and also outside next week if the

weather is okay

so I will see you next Sunday I will be

here every Sunday I voted for you mr.

Duncan you are really amazing

I want to learn everything from you

please give us a live stream or a live

stream about teaching methodology can

you so the way in which you teach I

think that's what you mean

so perhaps I could do a live stream

where I talk about my own experiences of

teaching English is that a good idea I

hope so I will watch the replay of your

live stream for two or three hours every

single day I really like it yes and

don't forget you can watch the live

stream later and there will be subtitles

later so there will be subtitles later

on on the live stream many people don't

realize that you can watch my live

streams later with subtitles so don't

forget that it's very important mr.

Duncan do you want a Vietnamese

girlfriend it isn't on my list

definitely not it's not on my list

Sammy says yes I can watch your replays

for two or three hours yes it's a very

good idea you can you can watch my live

streams later with subtitles it's true

how long will the Sunday livestream last

it will last for two hours mr. Duncan in

the past I saw you drink some tea do you

ever drink beer and wine I don't like

wine to be honest I don't really like

drinking wine I'm not a big fan of wine

if I was honest so now I don't really

drink much wine I don't really drink

beer either so if I was honest I don't

drink much alcohol so that's one of the

things I don't do much of although

having said that I do like chocolate so

my vice is chocolate I do like eating

chocolate but now I don't really drink

alcohol I'm not a big fan of alcohol

every day learning English with mr.

Duncan Thank You Emma for that you are

welcome hello from Germany and I'm

learning English with your channel thank

you very much Nick for that and welcome

back it's nice to see you here again I

am going now it is time to say goodbye I

hope you've enjoyed this livestream I

will be with you next Sunday from 2

o'clock UK time and every Sunday from

June the 4th so next Sunday June the 4th

I will be here live on YouTube with live

streams every Sunday from 2 o'clock UK

time so I will see you then thank you

very much for joining me today mr.

Duncan you have deleted the previous

live streams no I haven't all of my live

streams are available on my youtube

channel on the playlist on the playlist

I will put the playlist underneath later

mr. Duncan I would like to listen to you

explain about psychology ah that would

take a very long time indeed very long

time welcome to Russia and I hope you

enjoy the snow the vodka and the girls

well there is something I could say to

that but I won't

Thank You Julie Thank You Emmy Thank You

Shiva Thank You Tuan

I am going now

this is mr. Duncan in England saying

thanks for watching me teaching you live

on this Sunday afternoon and of course

until the next time we meet here on

YouTube you know what I'm going to say

now don't you yes have a good week and

ta ta now.

Oh and don't forget to vote for me 8-)

600.000 Subscribers Special | DJEkkiMusic - Duration: 10:56.

Since 22nd 2012 there is DJEkkiMusic

in this time, lots of things happen

I guess many of you are wondering...who I am?

When I'm home from school my focus belongs to your comments

I'm trying my best to react to all your comments

I'm happy about every single comment and it makes me happy that my mixtapes brings so much happiness to you

With the program 'Virtual DJ', I check out different tracks to decide if they fit together

As an overview I'm writing down the tracks in a textfile

At least I'm putting the tracks with the program 'Rekordbox' on a USB-Stick

Afterwards I'm creating the mixtapes with my equipment for my channel

Here you can see my equipment consisting of the DJM-850k, CDJ 2000 from Pioneer and the Sennheiser HD-25

Now I'm preparing the next transition, since it's important that every single track is synced well

While mixing I'm concentrated and focusing on my passion

Everybody starts at the bottom, just like me 6-7 years ago...

In those days there was the internetradio 'Technobase' and a few YouTube-DJ's which gave me the inspiration

The biggest role played my cousin who recognized my passion

So he demonstrated me new skills and finally the practice at home brought me to a new level

Later my cousin took me to small events

At this point it all began

Even with YouTube

Today I have a huge community with more than 600.000 subscribers and I'm excited to see what will happen next

Besides to the DJing I'm often meeting friends to smoke hookah

For me it's pure relaxation and a good compensation

Who knows, what will come next…

What I'm sure about…

I'm ready for anything in the future

and am anytime proudly going to look back what we've reached together

over 600.000 subscribers…

THANKS TO EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU!!!

That was the 600k special

I hope you enjoyed

And you recognized how much work I've put into this

Thanks for 600.000 subscribers

Unbelievable

Also thanks for the team who helped me with this project

links from the guys below in the description

Mountain Dew Popsicles | How to Make Easy Homemade Mtn Dew Popsicles - Duration: 5:50.

hey everyone it's James from fun foods and today I'm gonna show you how to make these Mountain

Dew popsicles this is really simple so easy to make you can do it with any soda

or any juice its a lot of fun and it's a perfect summer treat so keep watching

our show you step-by-step how to make these now the first you can do is start

off with some popsicle molds you can use any mold you like I got these online and

they come like this and you can detach them like so and I'll put a link in the

description below as to where I got these they're not a sponsor but I'll put

the Amazon link below now what you need to do is we'll remove the top parts of the

popsicle I'm going to leave them in here because I want them to hold in place and

this little container thing works out really well with that now what I'm doing

is using three different flavors of Mountain Dew now you can use any type of

drink you like you want juice you can do that you can fruit juice any other soda

works fine and I suggest putting it into something with a pour spout just to make

it a little easier to fill these up now you can do them all one color all one

flavor or different flavors what I'm going to do is I'm going to do one solid

red one solid blue one solid regular and then I'm going to do some mixing so

let's start off with the red then you take your top and pop it on there and it

snaps in place so the red is done now the blue

so these are going to be my solid colors now what I'm going to do is have a

little fun with this and on this side I'm only going to fill about 1/3 of this

up with a red and do the same blue in the middle one now I'm going to leave

these without the tops on them and I'm going to put this in the freezer and I'm

going to put it in there for about two hours I want these to firm up so then I

can add a different color on top of them so I've had my popsicles in the freezer

for just under two hours and they are firm enough that I can now add another

layer on top of these and what I'm going to do is just alternate the color so and

here I have the red at the bottom so I'm going to go ahead and put the regular

mountain Dew and next and I want to going to fill this another third of the

way and then again take this put this back in the freezer and let it firm up

for another couple hours now after about an hour and a half I pulled these out

they're not quite frozen but it should be good enough so I can add more to this

and that's what I'm going to do right now so I'm going to take the blue and

add it to this one the rest of the way

now we can just put our stick part in there may be quite difficult you may not

be able to get it in and just get it in as far as you can it may not go all the

way down and put these back in the freezer this time you want to keep it in

there at least three to four hours to make sure everything is nice and firm so

now my popsicles are thin in the freezer overnight and I'm pulling them out I can

see some of them I have overfilled so be careful not to overfill your popsicles

they will make a mess in the freezer so I have a thing of warm water right here

this is going to help popsicles come out nice and easy so I'm just going you

separate from the main holder and I'm just going to dip it in there briefly

keep them in that warm water and see if they pull out you might want to wiggle

there we go so this is one of them

and that's it that is our mountain dew popsicle sticks you can do that with any

soda or any juice have fun with it is a lot of fun making these well now it's

time for the taste test I'm going to dig into this one that has all three flavors

of Mountain Dew in it and let's see how it tastes

start with the Code Red because that's at the top refreshing see if I can bite

down to the side there where it's just a regular Mountain Dew

tastes like a really cold version of the soda but it's a lot of fun making it and

if you have popsicle stick molds at home go ahead and get yourself some Mountain

Dew pour it in it let it sit overnight you won't be disappointed well thanks

everyone for watching I hope you enjoyed watching me make these Mountain Dew

popsicles are a lot of fun I did it with three different Mountain Dew flavors um

it was just a lot of fun doing this and summer times right here so it's a great

time to make popsicles you can do it with Mountain Dew you could do it with

Coke you can do it with any soda or any juice it's up to you and if you make

these for yourself please share with me on any of my social media @FunFoodsYT

and check out some of the videos I have also side including a mountain Dew

playlist where I make a lot of different mountain dew stuff such as Mountain Dew

ice cream or Mountain Dew milkshakes so check that playlist out I'm sure you'll

enjoy it as well and until then I'll see you next week

How to Get A Guy If You're A Virgin (Or Inexperienced!) - Duration: 2:40.

When it comes to sex, talking about your experiences or "number" can be scary.

For instance, if you tell a man a number he considers high, then you look easy.

If you tell a man a number that's low, you're inexperienced.

So what if you've never had sex at all?

How do you explain that you still have your "V card, and more importantly, how do you

get men if you do?

Hey ladies, my name is Amy North and I'm a relationship coach from Vancouver, Canada.

Today I want to talk about dating as a virgin.

Before I get started I'd like to quickly as that if you like what you learn in this

video then please take a moment to hit the subscribe button below.

I'd very so much appreciate your support.

Okay, now, we all know that Hollywood has glorified the idea of a man getting with virgin

because she's "pure" and "clean."

The reality of that situation however, is that not every guy wants to date a virgin

and for various reasons.

Some worry that she won't want to have sex, others are scared about being the one who

takes her virginity because they fear she'll want a serious connection afterwards, and

still others worry that the sex won't be good.

So then, how do you get a guy if you're a virgin?

Here's the thing: your personal decision to hold off on sex shouldn't make you undateable.

In fact, if a guy refuses to date you for that reason then you're probably dodging

a bullet there anyways.

The key then, to getting a guy as a virgin, is being honest with him, and confident in

your decision to wait.

Instead of being shy or embarrassed about holding off in the sex department, be proud

of your willpower to wait, and know your reason for doing so.

For instance, if it's for religious reasons, tell him.

If it's because you haven't found someone that you want to be intimate with, or because

you want it to mean something special when you do finally make love, then let him know.

Whatever your reason, know it and own it.

Being confident about your decision to wait on sex can be extremely admirable, and some

men will even appreciate that you're keeping yourself for "the one."

So again, the key here is to be honest with him, to believe in your reason for waiting,

and to be confident enough to tell him it.

Episode 35 - The Devil's Rope (Alternate Audio) - Duration: 9:26.

Hi, I'm Mike and this is our Wyoming Life

The Devils Rope, or barbed wire, the invention that tamed the west came about in the late

1800s and as ranchers moved out on to the plains they needed to fence their land against

other farmers and ranchers, rail roads throughout the west needed to keep livestock off the

tracks and farmers needed a way to keep cattle from trampling their crops.

Joseph Glidden received his patent for what is considered modern barbed wire in 1874 and

began promoting it in Texas. Before the fences, the west was open range, cattle allowed to

roam freely, regardless of who owned the land. The invention and use of barbed wire brought

plenty of drama to the western rangeland. It made the fencing of huge expanses cheaper

than hiring cowboys to keep track of cattle. In the 1880s the government and large ranches

with government pull, began fencing public and federal lands without any regards to land

ownership or other public needs such as mail delivery or the path ranchers moved livestock

from one grazing area to the next. This led to fence cutting wars which broke out in Wyoming

in the early 1880s, until in 1883 when the court ordered a big cattle companys to stop

fencing public lands and remove fences they had built. None the less by the 1890s barbed

wire fencing was everywhere and the age of the open range was gone.

Wyoming is still an open range state; some call it a fence out state. Basically all that

means is that if you don't want my cows on your property it's your responsibility

to build and maintain a fence. Livestock still have the right of way, if an animal is hit

and killed by a vehicle the driver is liable for the price of the animal and the repair

of damage to the vehicle and if the county or the state doesn't want a ranchers cow

crossing the highway or road, then it's their responsibility to build and maintain

the fence, and in some cases the state has even built tunnels under highways for cattle

to move though. All this leads us to this week's project.

Fencing off the dump. Every rancher around here has a dump, whether it's spread over

the entire ranch or confined to one area like ours. The dump is full of old wood, old equipment,

and materials and because most ranchers and farmers never throw anything away. Therefore,

because you never know when you might need to salvage a part of an old mower it lives

here. But the dump is also a hazard to animals. Cows are curious animals and a cow or a calf

could get tangled up in old wire or cut themselves on a piece of metal.

This year we will be breeding our heifers or cows that have not yet had a calf in this

pasture, the pasture that also included the dump. Fencing off the dump will allow the

cows to be safe as well as allowing us to preserve the dump and its contents.

New fences always start with planning, thanks to tools that past generations never had we

do this quite easily, where in the past they had to measure on site we can use google earth

to plan our layout and figure out materials for the project.

Then we can go to the actual site and transfer the layout. T

he most important part and most time consuming part of a barbed wire fence is constructing

the corner and bracing posts. Barbed wire is under a lot of tension, often up to 1000

lbs. and the corner posts sole function is to resist the tension of the fence connected

to it and bracing keeps the corner posts vertical and prevents any slack in the fence.

After we finish this fence we will be moving our heifers into this pasture and a new bull

will be arriving within a few days to start breeding so we will be setting our corner

posts in concrete. This will allow them to be stronger faster. Posts are 6 to 8 inches

around and 8 foot long, using the bobcat and an auger attachment we can drill a hole in

the earth to depth of 3 feet and set the post vertically, making sure its level and straight.

We place another post, known as the brace post about 4 feet from our corner post and

add a horizontal compression brace, this one made out of 2 and ½ inch steel pipe connecting

the two posts. Then a diagonal wire connects the top of the brace post to the bottom of

the corner post. This wire prevents the post from leaning which then allows the horizontal

brace to the prevent the corner post from leaning. Keeping the whole corner square and

solid. Lines posts at then installed spacing them

16 feet apart. Our line posts at steel t posts that are 5 feet long and driven into the ground

using a t post pounder, a 40lb tool to drive them in.

This is a good time to introduce Mitch, Mitch is our hired hand for the summer, he just

graduated high school and will be leaving for army basic training in August. He has

helped out here on the ranch for about the last six months but this is his first big

project. Say Hi Mitch…. As luck would have it, I only own one t post

pounder. So Mitch will get the honor of pounding around 100 t posts that need to get put in

the ground for this project. Once all of the posts and the bracing have

been erected, the barbed wire is brought into the fold. The wire is wrapped around one corner

post, using a staple to hold the height and then reeled out along the span of the fence.

Then wrapped around the opposite corner post, pulled tight with a wire stretcher and held

in place with a few more staples. You repeat this process until you have 5 strands

of barbed wire all around the fence. Then you attach the barbed wire to the t-posts

using tpost clips, twisting them around and holding them firmly to the post. The sole

purpose of the t post is to keep the barbed wire strands spaced equally and off the ground.

As with most fences you need a gate to get in and out and we have found a couple old

steel gates, oddly enough in the dump, to make a 20 foot double swing gate to give us

access. These gates are mounted between two corner posts with lag screws.

With the addition of the gates our new fence is complete, ??? feet of total fence, 13 wooden

posts, over 100 t posts, ???? feet of barbed wire and a lot of sweat from both me and Mitch

have made a barrier to keep our new breeding heifers safe and sound during their stay in

this pasture. Now it's time to introduce them to their

new home. For the winter they have stayed in the corral, getting a bale of hay every

few days to feed on. Now they will be introduced to the lush pasture grasses and room to run,

but first we have to get them loaded into a trailer and moved.

Cows never seem to want to go anywhere you want them to go, I wish you could tell them

how much more awesome their new home will be and convince them they want to go but when

it comes down to it, you have to push and shove them, but eventually they are on a trailer.

We travel with them to their new pasture and let them free. Don't they seem happy?

In a few days the new bull will arrive and they will set to work becoming another working

part of the ranch, getting pregnant and producing calves and adding to the longevity of the

ranch and our family. In the end all the animals on the ranch are

our responsibility, with or without open range, you protect your herd from danger and sometimes

that means fencing them out of an area they would love to explore, You get a few cuts

and bruises, and even dropping a 30lb piece of steel pipe on your foot and breaking your

toe, but you also get to turn these guys loose, I'd like to think that green grass makes

a cow happy, I know it does me, broken toe and all.

Please subscribe like comment and share, so that we can keep on bringing you videos like
