Satrazemis: Pod car is basically a driver on top of the actual vehicle
so Lennie James
could be in there,
but not be having
to control the vehicle.
James: The steering wheel doesn't do anything.

So I've got to fake that as we're crashing,
as it's swerving,
and getting all the timing right
and doing -- what's my other job?
Oh, yeah -- acting at the same time.

We're gonna have multiple cameras mounted to the car
so that you really feel the inertia
of being in there with the actors.
Armstrong: You have your real principles in there,
rushing down the road in the place you're gonna crash,
and we just won't crash,
and then we'll get everything out of there,
put the real crash car in,
put the cameras outside wide,
have some hero shots,
send it down the road, and just lob it into a wall.

This crash had to look really impressive,
really dramatic, and a lot of destruction to the car.

Just to sell that great impact,
we put charges in the side windows,
the passenger side,
so the front, rear, and the rear windshield.
We put glass breakers in there
and also some silicone glass bombs
just to get some more stuff flying.
It's not easy to shoot a car wreck.

Just for fun, and we always want to have fun, in this episode I want to take the time to
count how many times you hear the word Redstone.
You get the idea...
I am currently playing on the Egyptian Skyblock, which is part of play.skycade.net
This is the second episode in my Minecraft Redstone Tips series.
I will try not to repeat too much but start off where I left off in the first episode.

So let's begin.
When Redstone is powered like from a lever, it travels 15 blocks from the Redstone power
source before on the 16th block it is powered off, which you can see because there are no
particle effects coming from the Redstone powder on that block.
To get around this limit you place a repeater on the 16th block.
The repeater boosts the signal for another 15 blocks which you can see makes it all the
way to the Redstone Lamp.
The repeater detects the powered Redstone from behind it, which is the repeater input
and sends out a full strength powered signal out of the other side, which is the output
of the repeater.
As a reminder from the last episode, a Repeater can be crafted, as you see here, using two
Redstone torches, a piece of Redstone dust and three blocks of stone.
Now before there were repeaters in the game of Minecraft you had to create something that
will do the job of a repeater with blocks, Redstone torches and Redstone dust, which
as I just stated are the components needed to craft a repeater.
It would look like what you see here.
However, to understand how this works, I need to take the time to explain more about the
Redstone Torch.
The Redstone torch can be used as a power source.
But it can also be used as an inverter.
By that, I mean that a Redstone torch can be turned off if the block that it is attached
to is powered, which you can do like you see here with a Redstone line attached to a lever.
When the lever is turned on the Redstone torch is turned off.
If we put the Redstone torch on the side of the cobblestone block, when it is on it can
power the Redstone dust that makes a line to next component or block
Here we can see what I meant by inverter.
When the lever is turned on, the Redstone torch is off.
But when the lever is off instead of on, the Redstone torch inverts the logic and turns
the Redstone current on which in turn powers the Redstone lamp.
So the lever is off, but lamp is on.
Now if we put two of these inverters back to back we get what is effectively a repeater.
This is what you have to do, or what you used to have to do before the repeater was introduced
to the game.
Because now when the lever is on, the lamp is on and the length at which the signal is
sent is longer than the original 15 blocks.
To control the world in any game the game loops.
The game loop for Minecraft normally runs at a fixed rate of 20 loops or 20 ticks per
second, so one game tick happens every 1/20th of a second.
However, if the computer is slow and can't run fast enough then there will be fewer than
20 game ticks per second.
Redstone devices generally operate a little slower.
By that I mean they are measured in Redstone ticks instead of Game ticks.
A Redstone tick is two game ticks which means a redstone tick is 1/10th of a second.
A repeater has an automatic delay of 1 to 4 Redstone ticks, or I will just say 1 to
4 ticks from this point.
Tlhis is the repeater with a 1 tick delay...
This has a 2 tick delay...
This is a 3 tick delay...
and this is set to a 4 tick delay.
And now I am going to go through and set all of these repeaters to a 4 tick delay.
And show you what we can do with that.
Now as you can see, when you turn it on and off the lights go in a rolling order.
And if we go back in and add additional repeaters to increase the delay, we can get something
that looks like this.

It's been quite a journey
for all of our characters this season.

Flashback sequences, different time periods.
There was so much going on.

These characters all come from different places.
To see them come together in a singular vision,
it's been incredibly exciting.
The new characters have infused such pathos and emotion,
especially the story of June and Dorie.
Their love story, their journey...
If you're alive, this whole world...
this whole world feels alive.
...to find each other is one of my favorite stories
of any season of either show.
And to have a crossover like Morgan from the "Walking Dead"
has been terrific.
Aren't you worried I'm just gonna --
So, it really feels like we're under
one Robert Kirkman/Scott Gimple umbrella.

Chambliss: As happens in the "Walking Dead" universe,
you never know what's lurking around the corner.
And with a world that is so dangerous,
there often comes loss.
Goldberg: We've said goodbye to some really critical characters,
and it's been an incredibly emotional season.
Losing Nick,
losing someone who had such a complicated journey...
...and then the loss of Madison,
the loss of the leading light on the show --
she was the heart and soul for four seasons.
The one who would not give up hope...
There, that's it.
...who believed that civilization could start again.
We were thinking too small.
Chambliss: It wasn't just about making sure
the community she built was safe.
It wasn't just about protecting her family.
But it was also about protecting what she believed in
and setting the example for everyone else
so they could carry that forward.
You don't give up.
Garcia: You can't forget something that is wonderful.
I just want to give that justice,
and let it shine, what they've done.

No one's gone until they're gone.

Hurd: We'll continue the journey
with this blended family.
There's still incredible wounds that they're suffering.
There's a lot of redemption at stake next season.
You want to make up for what you did to Clayton?
This is where you start.
I'm very excited about the way in which
we are growing our world,
the way we're exploring our characters.
We have to do what my mom did --
build this into something more.
The characters straight up have a mission.
There's some stuff coming up next season
that I don't think the audience could possibly guess
that I think are gonna make things electrifying.
