I said it before and Ill say it again - the video I first did about SCP was probably my
favourite one Ive done in a long time.
I took a look at some of my favourite anomalies from the Foundations archives and creeped
you guys and myself out by exploring them.
Im so happy that the video did well and you guys liked it because it means I get to come
back and find some even creepier ones.
Just like I said last time, watch this video at your own peril.
Are you sitting comfortably?
Then well begin.
My name is Danny Burke and this is the Top 10 Scary SCP Creatures Part 2.
Starting off at number 10 we have SCP 303.[a] This anomaly is described as a nude, sexless,
emaciated humanoid figure with reddish brown skin.
Instead of normal facial features, its head is mostly a large mouth with oversized teeth.
It lets out a constant wheezing noise which can even be heard from the next room.
303 can materialize and will periodically do so behind any closed door, hatch or other
entryway barrier.
Essentially it works like this - you will see a door, for example, and 303 will materialize
on the other side of that door - you can its unmistakable mouth through the glass.
It will sit there and watch you.
If you try and open the door, you will be gripped by an intense, paralyzing fear.
The fear is said to be indescribably but some witnesses have compared it to arachnophobia
- almost as if it exists on a genetic level.
However, the foundation has run tests and concluded that 303 is not doing this intentionally,
it is simply a by product of its own biology.
After some time, 303 will dematerialize and the fear will fade with it …
Next up at number 9 we have SCP-2935.
This skip is a space time anomaly that exists within a limestone cave beneath a cemetery
in Joppa, Indiana.
The cemetery was abandoned over 100 years ago and was only rediscovered when the foundation
picked up radio signals coming from the cave.
They sent a drone into their cave and so their surprise, it quickly exited onto the other
side - what they found there was a nearly exact replica of modern Earth.
It looked just like out world.
However, all life, biological and non biological, all machines and computers, everything - was
gone.
They decoded the signal and found that in this reality, life had vanished suddenly in
the early hours of the morning, April 20th, 2016.
The full message read as follows -This is an automated emergency broadcast from the
SCP Foundation and your national government.
One or more of our sites is experiencing a communication breakdown, likely due to a containment
breach of unknown magnitude.
All citizens are ordered to stay in their homes as containment teams work to secure
the breach.
This message will broadcast from April 20th, 2016 until- at that point the message cuts
out and then repeats.
It appears the Foundation has found a portal into another reality - one were some dark
force extinguished all life, and no government or foundation could stop it.
Now the foundation in our reality is tasked with figuring out what happened, and preventing
it from happening to us.
Coming in at number 8 now we have SCP 1231.[b] This is a very weird one - 1231 is an old
black Amiga 12 hundred computer, made by commodore international.
It runs by itself with no power source and displays only one screen full of thumbnails.
The foundation have dubbed this the -Primary Screen- … it cannot be shifted from this
screen.
In total there are 4352 thumbnails, they are organized into rows of 20, ascending numerically,
and a scrollbar is located on the right side of the screen.
Every thumbnail is a very low resolution moving picture.
A few of them have even been known to make sounds, despite the lack of speakers on 1231.
Clicking on one of the thumbnails expands them to the size of the screen.
The foundation have studied a number of the thumbnails.
They contain scenes of unknown people performing actions on a loop.
Thumbnail 2 features a woman scooping a powder in her left hand while she holds a baby in
the other.
Another features a woman dislocating and relocating a mans shoulder.
Thumbnail 1170 is notable as a very creepy one.
Two people are seen kneeling facing the camera, drenched in blood, crying and making non discernible
words.
The foundation thinks that 1231 is a soul trap and that the people seen in the thumbnails
are, or were, real people.
This was confirmed when the foundation contained 1231 and stopped studying it, but the thumbnails
kept increasing …
At number 7 now we have SCP 999[c].
This anomaly appears to be a large, amorphous, gelatinous mass of translucent orange slime
weighing about 120lbs.
Its consistency is said to be similar to peanut butter.
The size and shape of 999 changes constantly.
The Foundation describes it as playful and dog like in nature.
When approached, he will react with overwhelming elation.
He will then slither over to the nearest person and hug them with a pair of pseudopods while
nuzzling the persons face a third pseudopod.
All the while he will be emitting high pitched gurgling and cooing noises.
Its said that he smells different to every person.
You might smell chocolate, I might smell fresh laundry, another might spell bacon, roses
or even play doh.
Touching 999s surface causes intense and immediate euphoria.
This feeling intensifies the longer the subject is exposed.
This is a fitting trait to have because it is drawn to people who are unhappy or hurt.
Its been known to cure people who have crippling depression - this has led some scientists
to suggest using its slimbs to create a powerful antidepressant …
Moving on to number 6 we have SCP 139.[d] Once you hear about this creepy skull, youll
never find another skull creepy again.
The foundation have determined that it is of a hominid - its missing its lower jaw bone
and the eye sockets are very worn out.
Some experts say its that of a Neanderthal, others say its a modern human - however, everyone
was confused about the ridge at the top of the skull.
One of the foundations anthropologists have said that this is what a powerful jaw would
have used to anchor itself to the skull.
It was found by scientists modern day Iran during the 1950s.
The local people had it suspended 50ft off a cliff and used a pulley system to give the
skull food and water.
They referred to it was the White Div - a demon and the spawn of Ahriman, the most evil
being in existence.
Next, the Foundations states -The skull was then lost for many years.
It surfaced next in the Yukon, ninety kilometers from the Alaskan border.
The entire community of Caribou Crossing (what is known today as Carcross, Yukon) was found
brutally murdered by multiple stab wounds.
Semen was found inside the wounds and it is assumed the assailant ejaculated into the
incisions.
The corpses were found stacked in a large pile in the center of the chapel.
On top of the pile of corpses was the skull.- … ever since then, the skull has remained
in containment at the foundation.
Coming in at number 5 is SCP 823.[e] This anomaly is an abandoned theme park.
The site was abandoned after several violent events resulting in the death of visitors.
The final day is referred to as -Bloody Sunday- … 231 attendees were killed, a further 7
were injured or maimed.
Two individuals, male and female, fused together after emerging from the Tunnel of Love ride.
One person wearing a Happy Hippo mascot uniform was found dead from suffocation.
Their mouth, trachea and lungs were filled with the same stuffing from the uniform.
15 people were recovered from the Thriller Chiller roller coaster, all decapitated by
blunt force.
Forensics showed that they were not all killed at the same time, but in groups of 2 as they
went round and round a loop.
The deaths continue like this, each one as twisted as the next.
The foundation has requested for the site to be destroyed in an air strike so as not
to harm anyone else, but the request has been refused due to close proximity to civilian
population.
Moving on to number 4 we have SCP 072.[f] This is a shadow.
Instances of it were first discovered in an apartment building in Michigan.
Its shadowy projection resembles a 1m long hand, the fingers of which taper to a sharp
point.
Due to its nature, it only manifests at low levels of light.
In some ways, 072 is like a parasite - its host is normally a bed.
It will wait in this bed until a human uses it and fall asleep.
If they have any limbs exposed, 072 will activate and began to crawl upwards.
It will then tap on the persons foot until they wake up - when they do - they find themselves
unable to move, almost as if they have sleep paralysis.
072 will use its pointed figures to slowly slice and cut their foot.
It will slither back under the bed with each piece and then return, repeating the process
to slice some more.
Victims report feeling every bit of pain although they remain unable to move or cry for help.
The foundation claims that any bed within 10m of the infected bed can also contain an
instance of 072 - thats why its important to identify the bed and then destroy it.
Next up at number 3 we have SCP 706.[g] 706 is a 12 year old girl who appears normal on
first inspection.
She has an abnormally high body temperature and her entire skin is said to be made of
porcelain - not so normal now.
This layer is fragile due to how thin it is and can easily crack or break after too much
movement.
706 has described this as extremely painful, however, she is able to regenerate the skin
after ingesting the raw materials to make porcelain.
When left alone, she will compulsively maintain its appearance, typically starting into mirrors
and using makeup.
706 will become distressed if it is denied the materials or ability to inspect its own
appearance.
Since her containment at the foundation, she has become increasingly self destructive and
has taken to breaking off pieces herself in order to remove undesirable features.
706 is currently under suicide watch procedures …
Moving on to number 2 now we have 093.
093 is a test - a very creepy one at that.
It is primarily a red disc carved from a stone, said to resemble cinnabar.
There are circular engravings and unknown symbols covering it.
Researchers first noticed that 093 changes colour slightly depending on who is holding
it - the most current theory is that it does so based on the regrets of the person holding
it.
093 can only be contained by mirrors.
If it is placed on a mirror, it will remain there as if magnetized.
If it is removed from a mirror and not held by a person, it will seek out the nearest
mirror like surface.
It will start to roll in a large circle, building up great speeds until it makes contact with
a mirror, punching a hole in anything that stands in its path - including living things.
Despite the force with which it hits its new mirror, neither the mirror or 093 appear to
be damaged.
But here is the twist - during a test at the foundation, one researcher tripped while holding
093 and passed straight through a mirror.
Now, the foundation is conducting experiments to determine the safest way to harness this
power - to use 093 to explore the mirror world.
The experiments are cautious at the moment as the foundation tries to ascertain whether
its changing colour can drastically affect the results.
And finally at number 1 we have SCP 122.[h] This is a childrens night light in the design
of a shooting star.
It affects peoples sleep in a very disturbing way.
Whenever it is without power and within 500m of a sleeping human, it move them into a comatose
state.
They will remain like this until 122 is resupplied with power.
While in this state, humanoid figures made up of an unknown black mass will appear from
any shadows around the person.
The figures will spread out and try to affect any other people in the area.
They will even resort to using pills, blankets and lullabies to try and get people to fall
asleep.
When the 122 is in a powered state, it will affect their sleep patterns different.
People will display signs of insomnia and complain of unusual dreams.
I found the most disturbing part of the report on 122 was that it has shown signs of sentience
since the foundation contained it.
It has succeeded in breaching containment 11 times.
On one such occasion, the report said that -security footage of several maintenance personnel
tampering with SCP-122's chamber-lock was discovered.
When questioned, the subjects claimed that they had done so under duress, saying that
a "canary" was not allowing them to sleep until they released SCP-122- … it seems
this anomaly is not afraid to use its powers of manipulation to bend humans to its will
…

but theres no way I could have shortened each of these stories - some of these anomalies
deserve their own movies.

The Grim Reaper.
The scythe wielding embodiment of death.
A ghoulish cloaked humanoid walking among the living in order to collect the dead and
take them to the afterlife.
Doesn't sound like a chap I want to party with, although I don't have to because he
simply isn't real.
What if he was, though?
Hello and welcome back to Life's Biggest Questions, the channel that likes to answer
a breadth of queries, from history, politics, science, pop culture and fiction…why?
Because curious minds are strong minds.
I am your host Rebecca Felgate and today I am asking What If The Grim Reaper Was Real?
So before we get into this video I want to remind you that halloween is a coming, hip

Alright Grim Reaper, what have you got!
So the concept of the Grim Reaper dates back over many thousands of years and appears in
many hundreds of cultures.
The Egyptians, for example, put a face to death with the jackal headed Anubis – the
God of Death.
The Grim Reaper as we know today is a skeleton wearing a cloak and holding a Scythe, a tool
used by farmers to reap the harvest, much like old Grimmy chap reaps souls.
This version of the reaper was popularized after the Black Death killed off 40-60 percent
of the population of Europe.
At this point bodies were being pilled in the streets or carried by on carts and people
started imagining death walking among them, as in some ways it really was.
Death is the ultimate difficult concept to get our head around – we only know living,
so to imagine something as abstract as death, which seems so final and unfair, is better
comprehended when someone can imagine it as a thing – a character – coming to take
us away.
So we know where he came from and why he was thought up, but none of us have actually ever
seen the Grim Reaper because, well, so far as we are aware, he isn't real.
What if he was?
Well…first thing is first, he would become a lot more visible to us as he would be one
of the busiest guys in the world.
There are around 150 thousand world wide deaths a day… while a larger proportion of these
are in problem areas like third world countries, that is still an unfathomable amount of ground
to cover and souls to reap in 24 hours…without a break!
Unless the Grim Reaper is some kind of tireless time traveller then there must be more than
one of him…which leads to the question of whether or not the Grim Reapers are the agents
of something bigger.
Perhaps people would loiter by the dying waiting to meet the grim reaper to ask him a few questions
before he trots off to wherever he is going with the souls of the dead.
EXCUSE ME GRIM REAPER, WHO ARE YOU WORKING FOR?
That is another question…where exactly is he going and can non dead people see him?
Would we be able to track him and find the portal to the underworld….If the Grim Reaper
was real then that would mean the afterlife must be real and that is a whole separate
can of worms that I am not sure we have the time or breath for right now.
Suffice to say humans will WANT answers….but would we be prepared to deal with them if
they came.
While we are on some grand theological topics, let's talk about how the Grim Reaper is
often depicted holding a hourglass and he comes for you when, I quote, your time is
up?
If the Grim Reaper was real, would that mean our deaths are already predetermined?
If so, what are the wider implications of that?
If the Grim Reaper is real, does that mean that fate is real?
Does it mean we were all doomed from day one?
So, here is a thought for you – if the Grim Reaper was real, a real guy or walking skeleton…however
you want him…but real…. does that mean that we could cheat him?
Could we cheat death?
I don't know if you have ever played the Sims…but I have …and it is a constant
battle to try and shut the Grim Reaper out… but he comes anyway.
Some people say in the Sims 4 they have managed to stop him….would we humans do the same…obviously
we would!
Businesses would start selling literal death traps… but would they work?
And If we could stop the Grim Reaper, what would that mean for our burgeoning population?
Or would it mean that people are still dead, but their souls stay on earth rather than
being guided to the afterlife.
ARGH…I am back with the questioning again.
Maybe we need one of these death traps to keep him still for a while so we can interrogate
him.
How long til we ask him why the scythe and cloak, mate?
Ooh…do you think the Grim Reaper has a personality?
What do you think his voice sounds like…deep…right…but would he have an accent….does he have a
Mrs Reaper at home…maybe the Grim Reaper is controversially actually a woman anyway…or
maybe death doesn't have a gender?
But like… if it's a skeleton, it must have had a body once, right?
Why is the grim reaper a human skeleton?
Does the human skeleton reap the death of animals or is there be like a little skeletal
fish reaper for dying fish….and a spooky bones only owl reaper for birds?
LISTEN I just have too many questions…
So, what if the Grim Reaper was real?
Well in some ways it IS – The Grim Reaper is the personification of death and of course
death is very much real, we just can't comprehend it.

title and trailer for this movie are coming in the next couple of months so

know about it so Avengers 4 title is the biggest Theory video to do online on
reddit literally everywhere is trying to kind of guess what the title is so why
is there a big secret so Kevin Feige bassy said that the title
would give away lots of spoilers personally I think it's just for public
relations for PR because I honestly can't see this title being that spoilery
I think they're just baiting us into it so Avengers forever is the closest thing
yet to the title being revealed the Russo said so far although the title
Avengers 4 is being kept tightly under wraps I get and the roof's those have
offered a couple key clues to figuring out what the Avengers war title could be
the most useful hint came back in May when the Russo said that no one has yet
guests are tied to correct me but the closest guest they've seen was Avengers
forever an eternity are definitely the closest and not only
does the title fit the clue it also fits with a another major hint we've had at
the Avengers 4 title so a while back I went over the fact of a elite Avengers 4
plot leaked that eternity could show up during Avengers 4 there's multiple
reasons why could the title of this movie actually be Avengers for eternity
or Avengers for eternity war so who is eternity well in the comics eternity is
time itself eternity is an abstract entity that represents the passage of
time and has almost infinity power to manipulate the universe in the comics
Thanos was made so powerful by the Infinity Gauntlet that he was able to
defeat eternity only when he's got the Infinity Gauntlet of this league so I
think that's a fact you have to remember that Thanos can be beat and will be beat
so where does this fit into this video so remember a while back there was a
rumor going around this is secret CGI villain being added what happens if this
is actually eternity who is a crazy powerful cosmic being now how would this
fit into the whole plot so when Dallas did two things now did he wake up a
cosmic being I said before it could be Galactus but did he actually wake up
eternity or establish eternity it will be a nice wait searcher storylines
within the MTU wouldn't it you and you agreed so obviously eternity generally
and cosmic beings generally shot when the whole universe is under threat so
the fact that Thanos just wiped out half the universe is going to annoy the
cosmic beans that maybe we don't know we know the watch is there so if the watch
is there there are other people they just haven't been revealed I've
mentioned before it will make perfect sense for Adam warlock to show up it was
a massive part of the Infinity Gauntlet we know he was going to be part of James
Gunn's storyline for Gonzaga X III and apparently they're still using that
storylines so maybe if Adam warlock doesn't show up in Avengers 4 or
Avengers infinity War part 2 whatever you want to call it he could show up in
this movie so whilst making this video I came across the theory that backs up
what I've been saying during this theory and it's like four years old so we're
gonna go over this reddit theory I will leave it below but it's just clarify
that this part isn't my own but I want to include this so I'm gonna go over the
whole thing I sincerely think the Avengers for title will be in will be
eternity war I know it's been stated before but I think it's Avengers for
title will be eternity war I tried to provide as much background info on why I
think so and hopefully you won't be able to enjoy it so let's go over this theory
and it's also worth noting the eternity war hasn't been said anywhere I mean
they did say that it wasn't said in infinity war endgame it's kind of
obvious so first the Russos has said that the closest a thing into the
Avengers for title was forever instantly enough infinity already fits that bill
with Avengers 3 forever is eternity other than that there aren't really
titles that will work so this isn't it's not really an argument it's just an
interesting point so infinity war eternity war somewhat roll off the
tongue pretty well two movies obviously connected but different in plot
directions and avoid the part 1 and part 2 think pirates at Pirates of the
Caribbean 2 & 3 I have a feeling a lot the Avengers 3 & 4 influence in the
story structure comes from this Avengers 3 keeps a villain menacing while also
having its own plot line similar to Pirates to Pirates 3 focus on more the
human aspect and his weaknesses and the story is that much more personal and I
think Avengers 4 will be similar Thanos's backstory exposing his weakness
arrow dialect directly differently similar to how pirates 2 and part 3 were
bound by a relating story on phalluses backstory for those that don't know his
comic origin stems from the creation of the Eternals a genetic offshoot of the
human created by the Celestials millions of years before the current Marvel story
began phallus himself is is a genetic of those eternals
most people have heard that an eternal movie is being considered by Marvel and
in even more recent news writers have hired to start forming its story
obviously this is four months old and we know we actually get in the Eternals
movie now and they won't say I now highly doubt eternals without any more
human related origins as making phallus related to anything earth wise and
Eternals in general takes the believable aspect of living universe right at the
MCU probably would have more alien origin I think Nova may go this route
eventually anyway who knows the above is one way the eternity war title could be
interpretated but like to think there could be an entire different meaning to
the name and by the extension infinity war in retrospective the fate of greater
universe is at thanasis discretion in Avengers 3 but I think we don't see the
powers at play that make up the universe universe aside from the infinity sign I
mean of course the four major cosmic beings that created the Infinity stones
a trophy oblivion in the comics death infinity and the Eternity to represent
death and destruction while the other to represent creation and life to the human
eye they don't exist on a level that people can just perceive them
but they are supposed to be their gods a galaxy quickly shows us and engraven of
said beings created potentially fighting over these stones out of the four people
seem to be massively fixated on death especially due to her relationship with
phallus in the comic we now know that death really isn't part of thallus his
motivations however literally you want to interpretate the other line in the
Avengers 2002 focus on the other two most obviously infinity and eternity
infinity eternity together from time to time of the space of the universe
creation and life itself essentially the Big Bang in Avengers 3 palaces end of
half the universe I do not believe his actions would just go and check I truly
believe that these two beings actually have a role in Avengers 4 especially in
the Infinity stone storyline it's going to get resolved by the end of it having
its origins explained fully finally must involve these beans while death and
Oblivion or a trophy may not interfere simply because the snap may actually not
be an issue for them however the accretion side of things
infinity and eternity may step in however their aspects cosmic beans
started to get involved in the universe totally changes the way the Marvel snute
mine universe could it go forward this aligns with many comments did the
directors writers and Kevin Feige have said about venues for especially on the
scale when it comes to pair two three so essentially Kevin Feige is saying and
the writers a saying the scale of Avengers 4 makes Avengers 3 look like
absolutely nothing so they're gonna have to absolutely outdo it
Feige has talked about how Avengers 4 title is not that surprising and the
height for it is being overstated and they regret that alternative war
honestly doesn't do much other than connect infinity war it doesn't really
tease a particular storyline or hype the crowd so to speak so from all the
evidence that were suggestive from this reddit user how many evidence that I
suggested I really think eternity war could be the case because eternity
implies Avengers interno t that the Avengers are gonna go on forever
now what's eternity already introduced so join the gardens and galaxies to
Peter quill aka star-lord said this I see eternity pretty obvious right so
they have already named what to turn and we know that as the cops cosmic side
of Marvel host Avengers 4 is going to go cosmic it wouldn't be surprised if
eternity takes on a big role in this movie like I said he could be in the
quantum realm he could be anywhere the fingers that might have might have
brought attention to eternity thinking no I need to I need to help I need to
stop this this is not what's going on so guys let me know what you think about
this video down below I really think eternity or eternity war is the
strongest thing we have on YouTube I know this theory is pretty old but
eternity war does make a lot of sense all the evidence is there I mean let me

exciting because everyone wants eternity to come to it we know the eternal movies
coming so there's gonna have to be some parallel towards the end it's movie to
what's coming up next they're not gonna drop in a turtle a Turtles movie

25cm threaded bar (I'm using M8, but this is not important)
nuts and washers for holding the thin washer in place
the threaded bar will be placed in the thick washer
the gap between the thin washer and the coupling is very narrow (0,5mm)
this is very important for the correct performance
40mm sewage PVC cap (must be holed)
16cm of 40mm sewage tube
the edge of the tube must be sharpened externally to create an attack angle
nuts to hold the tube in place
the gap between the coupling and the tube must be adjusted (8 to 10mm is good)
the whistle works just blowing in it
1/2 inch threaded coupling to fit in the compressed air line
feeded with 6 bar (88 psi)
feeded with 3 bar (44 psi)

In 2011 or 2012, something like that,
I discovered for the first time the composer, the person, Erich Korngold.
And that year was like it was in the sign of Korngold because I really went crazy.
I heard, I think, everything that he had.
At that time I also heard for the first time Die tote Stadt.
I said to myself, 'This is an opera that I want to stage somewhere and sometime.'
A year ago I worked in Basel and there was just then a premiere of Die tote Stadt,
and I was, 'It's a shame that I'm not conducting this performance.'
Then I met Barrie [Kosky], he offered me the job, and then he said,
'Perhaps as [General Music Director] you can start with Die tote Stadt,
and I was, 'Yeah! Finally! This is the...'
It's not a dream, it's just a feeling that I would like to do this.

on one of these summer evenings
that in Rome are almost languid, exhausting
in a small square in the historic center
miraculously free from street vendors and tourists
where you can even felt like a confidential murmur
the chatter of a fountain
and also a sudden Ponentino breeze (typical Roman wind)
I could not help remembering sweet life times
a sweet life of which I have only been able to see the last fires
when subtracting at night
the convertible of the rich friend cousin
unconscious and happy we ran for a sparkling Rome
and I confided these memories
of this baroque but magnificent Rome
with the deserted squares the fountains that sang
and foreign girls strolling stunned by such beauty
I told these little notes to a group of young filmmakers
to my great surprise among five of them
only two had seen La dolce vita
the other three full of elaborate concepts
full of busy film situations
they had not seen this film by Fellini
which is one of the greatest masterpieces of cinema
it is even among the top ten of the films of all time
an artist like Fellini who won 5 Oscars
4 for films and one for career plus 12 nominations
he won the Palm d'Or, he is a monument of
Italian culture, custom and intelligence
ignored by these guys who claim to make films
but which films do they want to make?
one can not disregard La dolce vita
it's a film that marks an era
that separates two ways of making movies
neorealism ends with La dolce vita
another kind of cinema is born
a European international cinema
that no longer looks at the navel of Italy
telling, however, eternal facts as neorealism did
but opens Rome and Italy to the whole world
telling the story of a man who is a man for every season
a man at all times and at all latitudes
each of us is like Marcello Mastroianni in the movie
who oscillates between great intentions
and daily compromises
who would like to escape in a love dream
with Anita Ekberg
and instead returns home to the woman waiting for him
waiting for him loyal maybe even desperate
attempting suicide because he is never there
but then she really loves him
and that after all is the woman he deserves
because of all his great purposes
Rome as it happens in all the big cities
destroys you because it makes you enter a vortex
of events of facts of people
and if you are not absolutely conscious of yourself
if you're not a martyr of yourself
an ascetic who wants to work on his work
the city distracts you, takes you away, loses you
exactly as happened to so many arrived in Rome
to make movies, to make shows or to make literature
dispersed in small daily rivulets
but someone has succeeded, not by chance, for example
Tullio Pinelli who is the writer of Federico Fellini
he is clearly a provincial who came to Rome
provincial way of saying because he comes from Turin
he was even a count and when he met Federico
he is almost 50 years old when he writes La dolce vita
and Federico is 30 years old
and there is this strange association
among a cultured Piedmontese lawyer of a noble family
who has been a cavalry officer
and a gypsy vagabond like Federico
that brings many dreams and many ideas in his head
and these ideas are elaborated by a script master
that is Tullio Pinelli, who preserves, however,
with great sensitivity and great artistic value
all the fantastic and dreamlike potential
and extraordinary films are born like La strada
like La dolce vita like 8 1/2
wonderful films to which also collaborates
another genius of writing that is Ennio Flaiano
and Ennio puts that biting humour from Abruzzo
that disenchanted and slightly pungent way
which serves to give so many moments
of La dolce vita a sweet bitter taste
so it's an epochal film to watch
that I do not want to tell but that is an odyssey
it stands on two floors on this young man
in some respects we even say naive
but that actually pretends to be cynical
Marcello wandering through Rome
attracted by a thousand mirages
cinema, noblemen, money, success
and each of these mirages turns out
to be a very poor thing behind the scenes
as his teacher and mentor Steiner reveals to him
he even represents for Marcello
the maximum of what a man can achieve in life
learned, elegant, prepared, a beautiful wife
an extraordinary home, hip friends an immense culture
he commits suicide because
he does not hold the impact of this world
the small dark evil that was in Federico
his melancholy that led him to depression
is witnessed by this character
but all this does not take away anything
to the extraordinary and bombastic carousel of images
think of via Veneto rebuilt on the set
for the time it was a cyclopean enterprise
just extraordinary with the paparazzi and the stars
Federico had the glance and the strength
to understand exactly what that moment was like
a big carnival that unfortunately then
with the first economic crises it would be over
