Hi!
My name is Enrique Colinet, I'm 34 years old and I've been working as a professional game
and level designer for 11 years.
Level designers work with only two main tools: One being the documentation, to list and understand
all the requirements needed for the level to work in the final version of the game,
and the second one being the best part: the "blockout", also called "grayboxing".
Our job is not to make a level pretty.
Our job is just to make it functional and, unless something has to look pretty in graybox
for any special reason, we usually don't need a car to look like a car or a tree to look like a tree.
We work with blocks, like LEGOs, so we can roughly define in a level editor the spaces
that players will navigate and the events that they will experience on them.
This rough blockout of the level serves as a canvas for everyone on the team to work on it.
And... well, this is a problem for us level designers, specially when we want to show
to someone our contribution for that game.
Artists replace the rough geometry that we created so the final art of the level can
be added, so our pretty graybox level is lost, forever.
And that's a pity, because most people don't know about
how games look like when the production begins.
In my personal case is even worse: My first project, COPS, was cancelled before
the production phase.
For the second one, Spec Ops The Line, I'm legally oblidged to not show to anyone the
material captured during development... and for the third one, Dead Island 2... well,
it's a game still in development so I'm still under NDA. 11 years and I cannot show NONE
of my grayboxing work publicly... and THAT makes me angry!
Because I love grayboxing!
So last year, a guy named Michael Barclay, currently working for the game studio Naughty
Dog, had a great idea: if artists had "Inktober" and animators had "Animtober"... why level
designers don't have "Blocktober"?
A whole month to practice and show publicly what we do in the shadows.
AND I LOVED THE IDEA!
During October I'll be showing several blockouts that I've been creating just for the fun of
it for the last 2 months, some of them prettier than they need to be for a graybox level to
be honest, so I have finally something to show on my professional reel.
I'll be using 4 tools: Unreal 4, Hammer Editor for Source Engine, Probuilder and SabreCSG
for the Unity Engine.

Your gonna find hard to follow on its first attempt, you going to need a compass, a
map, a Sat Nav, a GPS, a pen and paper. However having watched this a couple of
times I think it's fair to say this is all about people using sex to solve
their problems. however we learned that our protagonist
is using it to not face up to her father's death. Nymphomaniac volume 1
volume 2. this is probably one of the longest whodunit movies anybody's gonna
have the pleasure of seeing. it's one philosophical rant after another with
the only constellation being some hot steamy action and some a-list
performances, Uma Thurman looking at you! content-wise the two volumes are
extremely different the initial movie shows us an insatiable
teen with a strong desire for sex. The later volume sees our protagonist explore a
number of fetishes and kinks out of desperation to achieve her highs that she
took for granted in volume 1. Volume 2 will lure you into a false sense of
security as it's themes tend to be quite darker.
Think body mutilation, grooming and double penetration groupsex.
Sexual Chronicles of a French family. As feature films go there's something a little bit odd
about this film. It kind of feels like its purpose is very educational. This is
what sex looks like to many people in different ages in their lives. at the heart of
a movie we have a virgin who's about to have sex for the very first time with
his girlfriend. As he awkwardly navigates these new waters, were treated to the
sexual exploits of a rest of his family. In the realm of the senses. Now this
movie is intriguing. Legend has it this is based on actual events which happened
in real life is passionate tale of Batshit has to be seen to be believed.
All I can say is eggs, insertions, urine, blood and Wow.Love. Funny story
allegedly Gaspar Noe claimed he walked out of Black Panther early because I couldn't
stand the soundtrack. I wonder how many people switch this off early because of
the neutral masturbation scene at start which ends in an ejaculation. There's no
real substance to this movie. or no definitive end, it would make a horrible
book. That being said, the director uses some wonderful tricks to make this
engaging however if we face facts, people are after a new film rather than a sequel.
Shortbus. I hate depressing movies. who wants there erotica mixed in with suicidal
thoughts or with a dose of your boyfriends not getting you off, you might
be Gay, you might be Gay, you might be Gay? Sounds like fun? Well you're gonna enjoy
Shortbus, it seems like they were trying to make this a little bit of a
comedy but I don't care who you are if you said that you seen this movie and
you were rolling around the floor laughing at the end of it you'd have to be a
little bit dead inside. All about Anna. This one's pretty darn funny, and triple
F-Rated! That's a female lead, writer and director.
those things alone don't make this a good movie, In Fact that's not really a good
movie it's all according to IMDB which leads me to say it's probably
underrated. This one features Ovidie and Eileen Daly from the adult world.
Intimacy. Before Mark Rylance got his Oscar in 2016
He was doing movies like intimacy in 2001. Oh yes this is the classic story of someone
trying to cross the lines of a friends with benefits relationship. This film hasn't
aged of the best and it is shot mainly in dark places. But there's quite a bit of
substance in this one if you want to check it out. Lie with me. Lie with me
is a little bit problematic. it's a light fun sexy movie with characters you're
not really going to empathize with so you don't really care what happens to
them. As besotted and loyal as our protagonist appears to be to the main love
interest you can't help thinking that she is rather easy. This one's beautiful
shot with some warm tones and it's very popular even to today despite a moderate
IMDB ranking. Caligula. yes I know what you're thinking, you've done 10
already we haven't mentioned Caligula, so here I am mentioning Caligula! filled
with a bunch of a listers which don't get their bits out, Tinto brass still
manages to submerge this movie in a numerous amount of orgies. should you get
invited to a toga party just question if the people who invited you were into
Caligula. starring the likes of Michael McDowell, Helen Mirren, Peter O'Toole and
one of the biggest production budget of its time clearly there's still things
here to appreciate here. a few honorable mentions Gandu, Anatomy
of Hell, Antichrist, Romance, Diet of sex.

Florida where a terrible tragedy claimed 17 lives prompting us to begin a
national movement advocating for better laws to prevent gun violence.
Unfortunately the United States has been affected by the gun violence epidemic
more than any other developed country. Detroit, Chicago, New Orleans, these
communities and many more have forever been changed by gun violence.
But fortunately there are ways that you can address it when we face tragedy in
Parkland, the community was hurting but we the students rose up to make a difference.
And you can do the same in your community. Forming programs in your
schools and communities promoting non-violence and acts of kindness can
help build a stronger social fabric where people are more kind and
empathetic and less harmful.
One of the biggest ways you can make your voice heard is through voting.
Now I know that many of you are not old enough to vote
right now, I'm certainly not. I turn eighteen five days after the election
this year, but it's not just about casting your ballot. It's about knowing
your rights as a voter, staying informed, and being aware of what kind of change
you can be a part of.
When you turn 18 you have the opportunity to directly
impact the world around you.
This is done by your vote. Now, our nation was founded
on the principles of democracy and we should not waste our opportunity to make
our voices heard when so many before us had to fight and die for their right to do so
And if you can't vote right now, encourage others to go out and cast
their ballot. You can also make a difference in other ways like getting
involved in your student government or contacting your local elected officials
to make sure your voice is heard.
Don't forget, it is never too early to start
getting involved. When young people like all of us look at the world and ask it
how we can be better, we need to remember the change comes from us. Being young
comes with an idealism and an optimistic view of the future that if used
correctly can usher in new ideas and contribute an incredible amount to the world.
It's our time to rise up together, promote peace together, and make a

a mixed salad with arugula, spinach
salad leaves in different colours, also we´ve got some tomatoes
shredded carrots
we garnished it with some pumpkin seeds
it is a little bit of agave syrup in it
also in there are a lot of dried salad herbs
himalayan salt, pepper, yes, and flax seeds of course and sesame seeds
I just defrosted myself some vegetables
I guess you can see which sorts of vegetables :)
i put on some soy sauce, ketchup, salt, pepper
and creme balsamic vinegar
what are you eating as your main course?
i eat a wild rice, or wholemeal rice mixture
with a bit of basmati rice
I exceptionally bought "vegini" today
That's pea protein with sunflower oil
and some other healthy stuff - it tastes delish!
