I wouldn't call myself the best cook in the world. but the other day when I
entered the supermarket I was determined to make the best Mexican meal my boyfriend has ever tried,

flour.. more flour.. great! what am I supposed to do now? wait! what is this? no!
I'm gonna make real guacamole! yes they have avocados
this one is nice! 2:29? that's like 50 pesos are they crazy?
this evening I left the supermarket with one sad avocado. what was I supposed to make without all of the other ingredients?
back in the car I remembered all the amazing flavors from my Mexico.
and I couldn't hold it any longer. I just want Mexican food!
well why don't we just go to a Mexican restaurant?
today we're on a quest to find and test real Mexican food in Germany
as you know we love to travel but we also like to try the local food in new countries
but for me it's also super interesting to see how other countries prepare Mexican food
so we're gonna travel to Berlin and then all the way back to Munich and
we're gonna try some of the top-rated Mexican restaurants in both cities
we are about to go into a Mexican restaurant in Berlin which is called Santa Maria! Santa Maria. Santa Maria
It says it's one of the best Mexican restaurants here in Berlin and also
the blog from mexicanos in Alemania says the same, so let's see if it's actually true!
the internet says the focus is on Mexico City Street food
so whatever that means.. but let's check that out
that's kind of Mexican already. You have salsas. You have a menu..
okay guys I took the frozen margarita, mango. because there is happy hour right now
and it's very good but it's very spicy
yeah I thought chili would only be around the glass but now it's everywhere. it's cool! Let me try it
it's not bad. oh yes it's spicy! yeah and

it's refreshing but it could need a little bit more taste. or sweetness
I think sweetness is missing
These are carne asada volcanes
pretty good. until now they seem very good. very similar. the only thing that threw me off was the salsa is too bright
but it's fine. - So I ordered tacos with carne asada. it looks delicious
quite expensive.. in Mexico that would be four times cheaper. - Or the same price but in pesos..
we'll see how that's gonna taste

so we ordered some burritos, tacos and quesadillas and we're waiting for them
mmm yummy. I'm pretty excited but I'm a little bit scared because I think they
put a lot of cilantro in there. and I hate cilantro
and I love cilantro! - with the food we're going to a park to eat there because inside
it was too crowded

here are my thoughts about the food. I like everything! yeah I guess I could find that stuff in Mexico
obviously I cannot really tell because, you know, I've been to Mexico only a couple of times and not
my entire life. but it reminded me of Mexico. and now the thoughts from the Mexican one
so the important one
No, I gotta say there are so many things that we tried that could definitely be in Mexico too
but for a third of the price, because it's very expensive here
I really liked almost everything. I didn't
like the burrito but there's a lot of Mexican food that I'm missing like crazy
you know I'm from San Luis Potosi and there's this wood from huasteca that
is amazing and I'm just dreaming every day about this food. now you have an idea
what type of Mexican food you can find in a place like Germany. and if you're from Mexico and you live in Germany
