September Favorites 2018 - Duration: 5:27.
Hi everyone. My name's Tyler. Today I wanted to sit down and share some of my favorite
September items and shows and a bunch of random stuff. Um, I wanted to show you guys
some of my favorite things. So, if you follow me on instagram you probably
already have seen some of these things and if you're not following me go follow
me. It's Thrifts and Tangles on Instagram. But yeah, let's get into my favorite items for the
month of September. My first favorite is actually a hair product and apparently a
lot of my friends use this product, but I've never even heard of it. So I picked it up
from Sally's. It's called texture ID deep treatment masque and basically it's a deep
conditioner. It has sweet almond oil, wheat protein, and honey and I just
really like the texture of this thing. It is ... I don't know it's really
smooth and nice and thick and my hair really likes it. It really does a good
job hydrating my hair and kind of giving my hair strength. So I've been trying to
deep condition my hair once a week but yeah, so far so good. I've gone a long time
without deep conditioning my hair, so this product will hopefully, you know,
encourage me to do it on a regular basis. My next favorite item is actually a
cookbook that I picked up from the library yesterday. It's called The Love
and Lemons Cookbook and I guess this lady has a blog called Love and Lemons,
which I had no idea about. But her cookbook has so many good recipes. It is
so aesthetically pleasing. Let me see if I can open a page just to show you, like
everything in here is beautiful, the photography is beautiful, the layout is
beautiful. I never knew I would like a cookbook so much. This is probably my first
time actually sitting down and reading a cookbook but I just moved out and I'm trying
to figure out how to cook for myself so this thing is one of my favorites and
I'm very surprised that it made it to this list but as soon as I opened this
book the pages were like silk and I feel like the key to a good book is like
it's the whole experience of reading the book. The pages need to feel nice
and this book has the most amazing texture for pages. So yeah, if you are
into cooking I would definitely recommend picking this up on Amazon or
just getting it from your local library. My next favorite is actually a DIY I
found inspiration for this on Pinterest and I decided to recreate it myself so
thankfully, I have amazing coworkers and one of them brought me a
branch to make this project possible and the other coworkers cut the branch for
me because I didn't want to cut off my hands or anything and there was a saw
involved and it was just a mess so thanks to my co-workers they really
helped make this project come to life. But anyways, I installed it yesterday. I
put nails into the branches and I made this jewelry hanging situation where I
have all my jewelry hanging. It doesn't... I didn't have enough space to have it look
exactly like the Pinterest board inspiration but I guess that's why it's
called inspiration, you kind of, you know make it into your own thing but I think
it came out looking really cool and I'm really proud of it. Another thing I've
really been loving this month is a book called Almost Adulting by Arden B.
and it's so funny. I really like her writing style. She's very sarcastic and
kind of blunt but she has a really great sense of humor
and basically she talks about like all the struggles we go through as being
adults or becoming adults or almost adulting um and I think it's so funny,
so hilarious and I really relate to a lot of stuff she says. But basically the
gist of her book is we're all kind of faking it um let me know in the comments
below if you are an adult and you feel that way too, like you're kind of just
faking it. Like one day they told you like oh you're an adult now and you kind
of got your stuff together a little bit but I think it's so relatable and it's a
really good read. I also have been enjoying the Netflix series, Insatiable. That
show is so ridiculous. I don't know if any of you guys have seen it. If
you've seen it let me know in the comments below too if you watch it. But
basically it's this girl who used to be overweight in high school and she loses
all her weight and now she wants to get revenge on everyone that, you know, made
fun of her or bullied her. But her revenge is like next-level revenge, like she has
no chill whatsoever and it's kind of shocking at times. But the characters are
just so over-the-top and so hilarious and it takes place in like,
the southern states and you know in the south there's like big pageant culture so
it was kind of, you know, playing off of the pageant culture and it's hilarious.
Its worth watching. My last favorite is kind of ridiculous
and I don't know if people put these on their favorites. But, it's actually a meme.
It's the..I believe it's called the Bongo Cat meme and basically it's the cutest
most kawaii cat ever who...and I don't know... they basically have him playing, like
music or like I'll put a picture here but he's like plays with drums or plays
the flute and like he just kind of pats his like paws to whatever song they put
in the background and I just think it's so cute. It's so ridiculous, like my
boyfriend sends me these all days, all day long. He sent me one where it was
like to the pokemon theme song and one where it was like to the rickroll song
and it's just... the cat is so cute. Okay, so those were all my favorite items from
