Waching daily Sep 5 2018

what's happening boys and welcome to

this segment right here on your boy a

sheriff so if you've logged in yesterday

of course you know that we got a brand

new vehicle called the free crawler that

vehicle is right under the legendary

motorsport to start with you need six

hundred thousand we're gonna sit

together and we can answer the question

is this vehicle worth your money or not

and I'm gonna tell you exactly how much

money you need in order to fully

customize it let's do this like the king

squad always does a few things that you

need to keep in mind as you start

customizing this vehicle and probably

some questions that you will ask

yourself you'd be like what is going on

here a three year old game and I get an

off-road vehicle with this much

customization I'm not gonna pick on

delivery because there's no way I can

pick on that because we wanted skins on

most of the race cars in the beginning

it was very plain and we wanted these

skins so you know what justified thumbs

up the rock star on that we're never

gonna complain but when you have

something called a sidestep and under

the sidestep you have 12 options it

makes you question what the hell is

going on here hear me out

I went recently on a youtubers profile

and he had a video documenting this car

right here and I said you know what do

you need to step up their game because

fortnight is kind of kicking their ass

and some people got really angry at me

okay this is gonna make this review a

little bit bigger but I need to fill you

guys in on the community and their

perspective one gamer right away

instantly said the two games are

completely different fine you know what

they're completely different we can look

at so many different we can look at

Forza and look at this game and say

they're completely different but then we

can draw the similarities so my argument

with him was very simple I lost a lot of

the people that play on my friends list

to fortnight so there is no denying that

a lot of the people that liked GTA 5

this type of gameplay have gotten drawn

away from it because they like the

customization that they have another

name the dancing moves a lot of the

stuff that that game has to offer and

let's be real here this game has a lot

of similarities to fortnight you can go

ahead and play one of the adverse

three modes that drops you into a circle

and you're fighting and it's very

similar the only difference right now is

fortnight doesn't have racing but that

could change who's not to say that

fortnight to is not gonna have racing in

it what are we going to say at that

point it's a wide-open map you can have

racing and it's a threat to Rockstar

Games so when I go to somebody and say

you know what they need to step up their

game the only thing I'm asking for is

very simple from Rockstar a vehicle like

this is never gonna get used in racing

unless you give us the option to vote in

the beginning of the race to lock to a

specific vehicle or let the host have

that option you guys did a lot of

modifications to the game giving us a

car like this and putting it versus the

vehicles that we're gonna test in this

session it's gonna show you guys that

most people will not buy this vehicle to

start off with you're spending half a

million do you guys want to know how

much is the customization when it's all

said and done you're looking at three

hundred and ninety one thousand dollars

that's what I spent that's exactly how

much I spent you might spend a little

bit more or less depending on the

customization you're gonna put on it so

when it's all said and done how much did

this vehicle cost you in GTA 5 online

nine hundred and ninety one thousand

dollars that's a million dollar for a

vehicle that's probably gonna sit in

your garage and it's not gonna do

anything let's take this vehicle on a

drag track and let's test it versus one

of the cheapest off-road vehicles that

we have in this game all right

a few things to report right here as we

take off on the on the starting line

this track is non-contact and as you can

see the cheapest vehicle in the game or

one of the cheapest is the Sanchez took

off and we never see it after that and

it's just gonna keep sticking off on you

time and time again if anybody ends up

taking it in a race you will never catch

up even to the bike in order to knock

out the biker that's riding it now I got

good news and bad news right the bad

news was what the hell is going on here

we just spent a million dollar we can't

even compete with an off-road bike but

the good news is Rockstar is kind of

dropping the shoulder boosting patch

that they did on some of the recent DLC

vehicles if you guys take a look at the

times

it's the difference of two seconds right

there if you shoulder boost with this

brand-new vehicle this is not the only

vehicle that I tested the shoulder

boosting with I wanna let you guys know

that recent vehicles have also been

getting the same treatment the shoulder

boosting patch is removed Rockstar is

not patching these brand new vehicles

you can go ahead and take them in the

races and spend your money on them at

least that's one move in the right

direction alright it's time to take it

over to the Top Gear track and with the

Top Gear track there is no shoulder

boosting this is a Time Trial that we

love to keep it on the inside of the

track we don't shoulder boost here we

shoulder boost when it comes to downtown

Loop and I'm gonna say this vehicle is

well balanced it could be well balanced

because you don't have the speed but at

the same time you have more than enough

here with such a heavy vehicle to swing

it around the corners it's not really

gonna be back happy with you doesn't

have that type of power for you to have

to worry around corners but if you're

gonna compare it to something to let's

say like the kamacho then you're in big

big trouble there's a huge gap in the

timing here you have a six second gap

this car brought in the best lap at

fifty six point one to five when the

kamacho brought it in at fifty point

five five two that's the difference of

six seconds it puts this car way back

when it comes to the off-road vehicles

it's not gonna win you any races again

unless they make you able to lock these

tracks to a specific vehicle and that is

not something that they're doing in the

stunt tracks as we as it stains so it's

gonna be always you take this car you're

gonna end up losing okay we're gonna go

for one last comparison right here and

that is the downtown Loop we always love

to go there we could shoulder booster

our desire let's do it baby I wish I

could come and tell you we're shoulder

boosting things are gonna be different

okay I mean this car I think it

resembles that t/o 2f9 so it might have

a lot of people that really are looking

forward to having it and seeing the skin

that's on it was the lifeguard just puts

it in that nice perspective that you're

hoping this thing will be a beast and

will just crush anything in its path but

this is not the case right here I

I could give you guys good news but the

timing that this car has brought in in

downtown Loop is a little bit

embarrassing okay for a car that we

spent a million dollars on it this car

brought in the best time at two minutes

nineteen point zero for three guys

that's almost eighteen seconds under the

kamacho commercials taking the lead on

this one with two minutes point oh one

point five nine four that's a huge

difference when it comes to racing you

can't put that aside and say to yourself

I can get this car because I like it

because of the skin I can get this car

because Rockstar released it for free

you're gonna look at it anyway possible

because you're looking at racing you're

not gonna enjoy this vehicle if you take

it against anybody else there is no way

to sugarcoat it we always come at the

end and say should you buy the vehicle

should you pass on it should you wait

for it to be discounted I'm gonna give

you one angle that a lot of you guys are

probably looking at it right now because

you're hooked up right here on your

sheriff yesterday we had a solo

unlimited money glitch it gives you

unlimited money people like that can go

ahead and buy the vehicle I am in the

exact same boat as the rest of you guys

I am a car collector I love getting some

of these vehicles but over the last

couple of DLCs they've given us some of

these cars that honestly I myself have

not even bought them in order to test

them because I'm thinking to myself this

is a waste you're spending time and

money on developers to put these

vehicles out there for us yet nobody is

even bringing them out of the garage in

the open lobby because they get

forgotten about once we have them as you

can see at the end of the race as

Sanchez will blow right by you time and

time again I hope you guys enjoyed the

review it helped you make your decision

if you are struggling with money and

you're a new player this vehicle is not

for you this vehicle is almost not for

anybody it's only for people that could

relate with it maybe they have the

actual vehicle in real life and they

enjoy driving the car as it stands

you're better off just passing on this

vehicle and not even

looking at it if you can get it on

discount it's not fast and it's not

gonna win you anything I hope you guys

enjoyed the review we always like to

call it the way it is you let me know if

you bought the car or not and also if

you think it's competitive or not I I

always come and voiced it the way I see

it I don't like to sugarcoat it

so you guys let me know what you think

I'll see you guys on the next segment

peace baby

New Haley Klinkhammer EP | Shadows in the Headlights - Duration: 3:05.

Hi there, my name is Haley Klinkhammer.

I am a singer/songwriter from Wisconsin and I have some new stories that I would love to share with you.

My goal here is to create a four song EP.

So it's been quite a while since I released new original music, but I am very, very excited to share these songs with you.

They tell a story that I never really imagined myself getting to tell.

These songs were all written during the past few years and tell the story of my life

from when I graduated from college and had absolutely no idea what to do next

to meeting the man who is now my husband, to him proposing and to us getting married.

Just kind of the story of where I was before and then how we met and how we got to where we are today.

These songs are really, really real for me and I think they perfectly, perfectly tell the story

(I just said those words twice for I don't know why)

But they perfectly tell the story of my life these past few years

and I'm just really excited to share them with you.

So the idea is this:

I will spend the next month or so recording and producing these songs

and then I will send them to my friend J.A. Sage

and he will mix them and do all of that

and then we'll get all of the necessary stuff created like the physical copies, t shirts, and other merch.

The goal is to have it all finished up and sent out by the beginning of December.

Of course, I will be keeping you updated on the progress and everything through the updates page on the Kickstarter campaign.

If you look on the side of the project page, you will see a bunch of perks that I am very excited about.

They include physical copies of the EP, t shirts, signed lyric sheets, signed polaroids, and a bunch more.

So feel free to check those out.

And keep in mind that, as always with Kickstarter, if the goal is not met, no money changes hands and no perks will be sent out.

If you're not able to contribute, but you still want to help out, feel free to share this video or the link to the campaign with your friends on social media.

That would help a lot and I would really appreciate it.

So that's all I have for you.

There's more information in the description on the Kickstarter page.

If you are on the Kickstarter page just scroll down a little bit.

And if you're on Facebook or YouTube or wherever else you're watching this video, there will be a link to the campaign page wherever the description is.

So click on that for more information.

Thank you so much for watching this video and considering helping me make this EP happen.

Like I said before, these songs are just super real and they just mean a lot to me and I'm really, really excited to share them with you.

I hope you have an awesome, awesome day and you are amazing.

Bye!

BIG NEWS - CALIFORNIA PUSHING 8 NEW GUN CONTROL LAWS - The Legal Brief! - Duration: 7:29.

Welcome back to The Legal Brief, the show where we CRUSH the various legal myths and

misinformation surrounding various areas of the gun world.

I'm your host Adam Kraut and today we're talking about how California is back at it again with

another round of gun control laws.

Yea I know.

Recently, eight, that's right EIGHT, different bills were advanced by committees in California

and after the recent tragedy in Florida, two of them are now on their way to the Governor

for signature.

Now, I know what you're thinking, But Adam, doesn't California already have a billion

different laws about guns already?

Yea, California has a large number of laws on the books.

But apparently, at least according to their politicians, not enough.

We're going to explain all 8 of these, one by one.

Since they didn't all have names, we here at TGC put our heads together and created

our own.

First up, AB 1968 the It's Ok to Be Crazy Once, Crazy Twice Lose Your Rights Act.

This one would create a lifetime prohibition on anyone who has been taken into custody,

assessed, and admitted to a designated facility because he or she is a danger to himself,

herself, or others, as a result of a mental health disorder two or more times in any one

year period.

If this bill were to be signed into law and a person would find themselves back in a facility

within a year of previously being there, bye bye firearms rights for life.

Now there is a petition process to attempt to get your rights restored, however, if the

petition is denied, you have to wait 5 years before you can try again.

This bill is currently awaiting review by the Governor.

Assembly Bill 2103, otherwise known as The Minimum Amount of Flair Required Act, would

require a minimum of 8 hours of training to receive a concealed carry license in California.

And yes, it IS possible to get a concealed carry license in California.

Currently, the way the law is written and best I could tell from several sources, including

the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Concealed Weapon Licensing Policy, the only requirement

with regard to length is that it not exceed 16 hours.

So Californians would need to undergo a mandatory number of hours of training in order to obtain

a concealed carry license.

This bill is also awaiting review by the Governor.

Next up, AB 1927, the Here You Have My Freedom Act, would require the DOJ to study the concept

of a "voluntary prohibition list".

Yes, that's right, the California DOJ is going to investigate how you should be able to sign

up to give your rights away.

The bill requires a report to be submitted to the legislature no later than January 1,

2020.

If someone doesn't want to own a gun, couldn't they just, I don't know, not buy one?

Keeping up with the Joneses, AB 2888, The LOL Due Process Act, would implement Gun Violence

Restraining Orders.

The bill would allow an employer, a coworker, or an employee of a secondary or postsecondary

school that the person has attended in the last 6 months to file a petition for an ex

parte, one-year, or renewed gun violence restraining order.

As we've beaten to death on other episodes bills such as this one are riddled with due

process issues, so we won't dive into the weeds on that one.

Although, I have to say, I'm surprised California doesn't already have this on the books.

If you're one of the people that enjoys going to gun shows at the Cow Palace, SB 221 otherwise

known as The Bullcrap Act, would put an end to that.

That's right, the bill would outright prohibit gun shows to occur there.

Apparently, that one particular venue contains too much freedom and they want to put a stop

to it.

SB 1100, otherwise known as the You Must Be This Tall to Freedom Act, would prohibit the

sale or transfer of a firearm by a licensee to anyone under 21 years of age, with a few

exemptions.

Those include a valid hunting license issued by the state, law enforcement and members

of the military.

Here we see yet again another state attempting to regulate WHEN a person may exercise their

constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

But wait, there's more...

SB 1177, the Rationing of Firearms Act, would restrict ANY firearms

purchase to one every thirty days, barring a few limited exemptions.

Currently, the law restricts purchases of a handgun to one every thirty days.

Surely there has to be some argument that this is violative of the Second Amendment,

after all, the ability to acquire arms in order to exercise that right must come into

play.

Last up is SB 1487, the Toto Act,

actually called the Iconic African Species Protection

Act.

This one would essentially just fall short of making it illegal to hunt in Africa by

prohibiting the possession of certain species of animals or their parts.

The fine would range from $5,000 to $40,000 for a violation.

Animals include the usual suspects, as well as zebras and hyenas.

The bill even provides a reward for information which leads to a successful fine imposition.

As you can see California is continuing down the road of finding new ways to add more restrictions

to firearms rights.

Which begs the question, when is enough going to be enough?

I know we have a big audience in California, so please let me know what you guys think

down in the comments.

That's it for this episode, if you have learned anything from this show, help us out and hit

that like button, and share it with your friends.

Top 10 Titans Shocking Facts - Duration: 9:35.

Hello Internet - what's going on - and welcome back to your favourite forecourt of fictitious

fanfare - Top 10 Nerd, the place where we pinpoint plotlines and ponder pensively.

Tongue twisters.

As always, I'll be your host Jack Finch - and I sincerely hope that you're all doing

grand, so today, take a seat - as we take a look at the Top 10 Titans Shocking Facts.

Roll the clip.

Now - as you all know by now, Titans is DC's newest foray into the world of direct-to-consumer

digital streaming broadcasting - and will be the flagship title for DC Universe.

It's full release is set for September 15th of this year - with the twelve-part Titans

following shortly after on October 12th.

It's safe to say that the whole thing is pretty hype - despite a controversially melodramatic

trailer, most of the released information on the series is looking like we're set

for some screen justice for Dick Grayson, Starfire, Raven and Beast Boy.

Well, I mean, we can only hope.

So - without further delay, let's take a look at what we know.

Kicking off at Number 10 - Acolyte Will Be The Main Villain.

We're kind of split down the middle on this one.

Although Deathstroke or Brother Blood would have been the clear choice in most people's

pick of the villain, at least they haven't jumped straight in with a Trigon storyline,

right?

In this case, it seems like the show's creators are possibly irking on the air of caution

and playing things safe with the purple suited demonic con-man AKA Acolyte.

First debuted in Young Justice Number 9 in 1999, Acolyte was initially a pretty horrifically

powerful villain that took to brainwashing hordes of young children in the United States

with the intention of forcing them to assassinate their own parents.

Young Justice soon called his bluff though - and they Scooby-Doo'd him out of town.

According to sources released by the Titan's casting call - Acolyte's story arc involves

murdering Raven's mother and then further attempts to drain Raven's power.

She can't catch a break.

Next up at Number 9 - Arsenal Will Make A Cameo.

Maybe.

Damn straight.

Good old Roy Harper is strongly rumoured to be firing into the Titans reprisal, and we

really hope it's true.

According to a casting sheet reveal, the possibility of Roy Harper AKA Arsenal appearing on the

show is strongly in the running.

Codenamed Daniel Cross - the character breakdown calls for a Male, 17-19 - Caucasian, athletic,

street smart - cocky yet charming.

His life is changed forever when he crosses a crime fighter and is given a new outlet

for his rebellious ways.

Hmmm - definitely sounds like someone we know.

Yeah - we understand, this could be quite a number of possible characters - but Arsenal

just *fits* - and in terms of street smart business moves, DC would be pretty foolish

to miss out on even a slight crossover with the Arrowverse.

What do you guys think?

Next up at Number 8 - The Flying Graysons.

Yeah - we even see it in big bright lights in the trailer - the synonymous Flying Graysons,

everyone's favourite all American acrobatic family.

That died tragically at the hands of the scheming Tony Zucco and awkward lack of safety netting.

Titans is set to be incredibly Dick Grayson-centric - and rumours are sketchy as to whether John

and Mary's murders will follow the same canon as the comic books, but their story

arc will definitely be appearing on the show.

Additionally, an audition tape was recovered of Canadian actor Tim Campbell reading for

the presumed role of John Grayson.

In this script - the acrobatic family are pitched as singers instead of circus performers

- let's hope that's not the case.

Coming in at Number 7 - Hawk and Dove.

Hank Hall and Dawn Granger.

Chaos and Order.

Hawk and Dove.

In the comics, this crime-fighting couple in arms have very different views on the art

of pummeling the bad guys - and make for a dynamic narrative injection.

In the show - they'll be played by Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly - and are pitched

to be recurring supporting characters for the series.

Reportedly, they also have a clause in their contract to make them regulars by season 2

- if the show gets that far - and there's even rumours of a spin-off series, indicating

a lot of effort in making the duo a fan favourite.

Reportedly in the show, Hawk and Dove will be tweaked slightly to avoid complications

with their comic-book origins.

They'll both be wearing super-suits instead of having avatar powers - and both be heavily

trained in martial arts.

They're even trying to step up Dove's peace-loving persona, taking her in a much

more violent direction.

Who knows, maybe Hawk will be the voice of reason this time?

Next up at Number 6 - The Doom Patrol.

Yep - just like Hawk and Dove, the Titans won't be the only superheroes in town.

According to episode 5 of the series - conveniently titled The Doom Patrol - it's pretty safe

to say that the original line up of Robotman, Negative Man, Elastigirl and The Chief will

be making a well deserved appearance on the show.

According to the show's production listing, April Bowby will be playing Elasti-Woman.

Yeah, not girl.

Jake Michaels will play Robotman and Dwain Murphy will play Negative man.

The trio will be guest starring throughout the series, with Bruno Bichir picking up the

mainstay role of Niles Caulder AKA The Chief and leader of the Doom Patrol.

DC have also announced that Doom Patrol will be getting their own titular series on their

new streaming service, so it makes sense that they'll be slowly introduced through the

Titans show.

Coming in at Number 5 - Akiva Goldsman's Bad Track Record.

Yeah - let's get it out of the way, the guy behind the series - Akiva Goldsman - is

also the man who wrote Batman Forever and Batman & Robin.

And while you might enjoy some peak-90's cheese-fest extravaganza, they're generally

considered to be the worst superhero films ever made.

Also - most recently, he was behind The Dark Tower - Stephen King's spellbindingly epic

series that spans 9 incredible novels - that Goldsman somehow managed to sum up in a single

hour and thirty five minute film.

Yeah, it wasn't great, and I'm not bitter at all.

His track record isn't the most hopeful for DC fans, to say the least.

But - if there's any saving grace, it's that Goldsman has been working on getting

a Titans production to fruition for a hell of a long time, and he seems incredibly invested

at this point.

Which leads us on to our Number 4 point - …. At Least He's Got Allies.

Because things actually look incredibly bright for the Titans series, and DC are heavily

invested in making their flagship DC Universe title a hit success with fans.

Akiva Goldsman has surrounded himself with quite a number of people who know quite the

thing or two about this whole comic book thing.

It's safe to say that the Titans are in good hands with the likes of Greg Berlanti

and Sarah Schechter - the executive producers behind Arrow and The Flash.

Also on board is Chief Creative Officer of the whole of DC - Geoff Johns, an incredibly

popular comic book writer back in the day, responsible for the likes of Infinite Crisis,

Blackest Night, Flash Point and Doomsday Clock.

Oh - also also, he wrote nearly 50 issues of Teen Titans, and they were pretty damn

good.

Swinging on in at Number 3 - It'll Be Dark.

And it won't be anywhere near the Teen Titans staple of Cartoon Network, tonally speaking

of course.

And there's a reason the shows frontrunners want to steer the franchise away in a gritty

- dark new direction, because streaming services like Netflix and DC Universe are a whole new

frontier for superheroic narratives.

It's clear from the Titans trailer that the shows Pilot director, Brad Anderson, is

aiming for the doom and gloom that airs around Dick Grayson, with Robin's meteoric rise

through vigilantism being a show staple.

Brad Anderson is also behind some pretty atmospherically dark works of cinema, too - being at the helm

of 2018's Beirut starring Jon Hamm - and the much more visceral The Machinist, with

Christian Bale.

If you've seen either two - you'll see what we're getting at.

Coming on in at Number 2 - Robin Is A Cop.

Yeah - no biggie if you've seen the show's trailer, but it's the story arc surrounding

that we're excited about the most.

The stage is seemingly set for Dick Grayson to don his badge and gun at Bludhaven Police

Department and rid the small city of crime and corruption from the inside out.

Well, we hope at least.

We already know that at least a portion of this narrative will be accurate, with Lindsey

Gort taking up the role of Amy Rohrbach, Dick Grayson's detective partner in the show.

In the Bludhaven story arc, Dick Grayson finds twenty-two dead men that have floated into

Gotham's south harbor - leading him out to rid a whole new city of corruption on his

own.

With the Titans being a brand new TV franchise for DC, it makes sense that they're trying

to carve their own path compared to the likes of Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash and Arrow.

Oh - also, Barbara Gordon is rumoured to be on the show - which would be awesome.

And finally, at our Number 1 Spot - All Things Jason Todd.

Yup - the Titans seemingly can't avoid Jason Todd - and we've got no problem with that

all.

According to Episode 7 of the Titans show listing - Jason Todd will have his own titled

episode, forming towards the end of the shows debut season.

I mean, it's completely unclear what role Jason Todd - if any - will play in the show,

and whether he'll be available as a villain or just a pesky side character.

What we do know, is that Dick Grayson /definitely/ isn't a teenager in Titans, and the possibility

of Todd taking over the mantle of Robin is incredibly likely at this point - being in

line with Dick's progression into Nightwing.

Well - who knows - why don't you let us know your thoughts in the comment box down

How Tom Hardy Got Ripped To Play Venom - Duration: 4:37.

Actor Tom Hardy often portrays characters that are dangerous, cold, and calculating.

That makes him the perfect choice to play Venom, the slimy antihero at the center of

Marvel's Spider-Man spinoff.

"We are Venom."

Hardy seems to have the ability to physically transform himself for any role.

Here's a rundown of his most remarkable transformations over the years, all of which helped him get

the physique necessary to play Venom.

Dropping weight for Stuart

Tom Hardy is far from a natural athlete.

He's admitted to feeling "small and skinny and vulnerable" as a child, and was intimidated

by the gym because of all the testosterone.

His first dedicated physical transformation began with the 2007 biopic, Stuart: A Life

Backwards.

Hardy lost a whole lot of weight to portray Stuart Shorter, a homeless heroin addict with

muscular dystrophy.

He lost almost 30 pounds for the role, but took a relatively healthy approach to his

body transformation.

Hardy worked with a personal trainer, ran several miles a day, and kept a diet rich

in protein… including eating as as much spinach and greens as he wanted.

Fortunately for his sanity, the training and diet regimen only lasted five or six weeks.

Bulking up for Bronson

When he began training for the lead role in Bronson, Hardy needed to pack on serious weight.

He told I Love Film:

"I probably weighed about 11 stone with, like, drenched, with stones in my pocket."

To play the notoriously violent criminal, Hardy only had five weeks to bulk up.

Using a bare-bones workout routine, Hardy managed to miraculously put on seven pounds

a week.

His trainer, ex-Marine Patrick "Pnut"Monroe, added lots of variation to his workouts, making

every rep difficult in one way or another.

"We had to develop a solitary physique; the kind of physique you would develop if you

only had four walls and a floor."

Upping intensity for Warrior

For his next film Warrior, Tom Hardy demonstrated impressive discipline while preparing for

his role as a Marine turned MMA fighter.

Hardy packed on slabs of lean muscle to convincingly portray a professional athlete, and his daily

training regimen was tough.

He even lifted weights with his teeth to build neck muscles… you heard that right.

"It was like two hours two hours boxing, two hours kickboxing, two hours of Muay Thai,

then two hours choreography a day, and then two hours lifting, every day."

The actor ate five or six high-protein meals per day, and wound up 29 pounds heavier than

when he trained for Bronson.

Beefing up for Bane

To play the masked villain Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, Hardy needed to appear larger

than life, which he achieved by packing on even more size.

Prior to shooting, Hardy appeared on Chatty Man and opened up about the physical demands

of the role:

"I'm gonna have to get up to about thirteen and a half, fourteen stone… and I'm twelve

and a bit now, so I've got three months to do that."

"How'd you bulk up?!"

"Fat.

A lot of fat."

Packing on 30 pounds brought Hardy's weight up considerably: He was almost 200 pounds

by the time filming began.

But as he told Jonathan Ross, that still wasn't enough to intimidate Christian Bale on the

first day of shooting:

"And I looked at him and he was looking at me like, 'Oh yeah, I'm Batman.'"

Losing mass for Max

In order to play the title character in Mad Max: Fury Road, Hardy had to lose thirty pounds…

the same amount of weight he gained to play Bane.

He told Collider he wanted to look like "a hungry wolf.

Or like when you put a cat in the bath."

Hardy reached his goal in a surprising way: by smoking cigarettes and eating only one

meal per day.

Once the weight was dropped, the next step was three or four months of fight training.

Hardy didn't exactly have time to rest when cameras were rolling, either.

He told Men's Fitness:

"It's a very physical shoot from the beginning, from the training right through to the six

months of shooting on the ground."

Finding his inner Venom

By the time Venom started filming in October 2017, Hardy was already a master at transforming

his body.

He got ripped for the role by applying tools he'd accumulated over years of hard work,

with no quick fix or magic ingredient.

He required guidance from professional MMA fighter Nathan Jones and personal trainer

Mark Mene, and trained in a combination of boxing, MMA, and kickboxing.

"He's a good student -- receptive, open to learning."

Judging from a sparring video Jones posted on Instagram, Hardy adapted to the challenge

quickly.

"Listen, I'm just setting the plan.

Tommy's doing the work."

Hardy's got a lot to live up to, given Venom's reputation.

But considering the actor's ability to fully commit to a role, there should be no doubts.

Peter Parker, look out.

This is The Star Wars Show!

From the Lucasfilm headquarters in San Francisco, here's your hosts, Andi and Anthony!

Hello and welcome to the Star Wars Show, the only Star Wars Show on the internet that's

brave enough to talk about General Veers.

Yes.

General Veers, the most important General in the Empire with the last name Veers.

That's all we got.

And it wouldn't be a Star Wars Show news pod if we didn't talk about an upcoming book right?

Biography of General Veers!

There's… there's no Veers news.

There's no Veers news, that's right.

This week we're talking about Star Wars: Smugglers Guide, a new book giving you all

sorts of notes from the underworld.

The book, written like a found logbook, is filled with stories and tips from the various

pirates and notorious characters who have come into possession of the guide.

Star Wars: Smugglers Guide by Dan Wallace will be available on October 30th.

And for more updates from around the galaxy check out StarWars.com/SWS.

[Solo Music]

Joining me right now is Neal Scanlan, Creature Effects Supervisor.

Now creatures also means droids.

And we're joined by an amazing assortment of droids.

This is probably going to be the biggest show of droids and creatures that we've done

for a movie so far.

And the droid is very much a character.

They have their own personalities and it's very important to us that each droid has that

personality and we can somehow identify and sense or like them.

So what you see here is just some of the ones that we've made for a sequence which is

what we call the droid revolution.

They operate on set the same way and the stunt guys that have joined us on this team can

take their performances and really enjoy them a bit more.

This is DD-BD, which Warwick Davis is in.

This is the character here, Kane who plays this particular character.

His top half actually pops out there.

You can probably see a slight tinge of green there where the idea is that Rob and guys

in visual effects will remove that so we get the great looking droid.

I know near the very beginning of the movie we see quite a memorable puppet and creature effect.

Here was a creature that was going to be in water and had multiple aspects to her.

So the idea was well why don't we just try to use the water as our practical place to hide.

We built a tank.

The tank is over 11-feet deep in sections.

Inside the tank is over 20, nearly 30 puppeteers.

They're all in wetsuits.

They're all submerged.

And they're responsible for bringing Proxima alive.

We've really stepped back, as we always do on these projects, and tried to come from a human point-of-view

and say what if we could get puppeteers in there?

Let's use puppeteers because they are the best movers that we could possibly have.

You know we've been calling it the Solo movie but in many ways it's a showcase for

Chewbacca.

Yeah, I think it's true to say this is a love story isn't really?

I think it's the beginning of a friendship and a discovery of how this friendship came to be.

We had to initially think very carefully about what we were going to do with Chewie.

I always come back to this, I watch the suit they created with George in the first films

is still absolutely the Chewie we love and adore.

The further we went the more we subjected poor ol' Chewie to the sort of rigors of

the real world the more believable and the more the personality came through.

It's been a huge challenge to the team to be able to make all the Chewie suits and the

variations and to maintain them.

And also I think creatively to find that balance, keeping him real and the Chewie that we know

would also show the vulnerability and the sort of side to him that we've never seen

before so it really gives him heart and soul.

[Porg sounds]

I'm joined now by one half of Darth Maul from Solo: A Star Wars Story.

But you know, most of the time half of Darth Maul is all you get.

Oh, that.. you know…

[Laughing] Sam Witwer is here.

Man, that's painful, that's really painful.

I think we chatted a month or two before Solo.

Right.

And I was like, what's going on man?

Hey, man.

Am I going to be seeing you on The Star Wars Show soon?

Are you doing anything with us?

And you're like, nooooo I don't think so.

[Laughing]

Is that what I said?

Cause sometimes I have to throw in a hint and be like ...no, man.

[Laughing]

Nooooo.

It must have been so exciting for you because Ray originated the character so well in Episode I.

But most of the development of Darth Maul's character happened across Clone Wars, Rebels

and you were such a huge part of that.

I said to George, I said, George we should really bring him back.

And he said, oh, is that true?

And I'm like, yeah, we should.

He's like, alright, we'll do it.

Who should play him?

And I'm like, probably me.

And he's like, alright.

I mean at least until we find someone.

Right.

I'll just be, I'll be a placeholder.

I'll just…

I was the placeholder voice.

I'll just record it.

So how did this sort of thing that you never dreamed would happen, happen?

It involved getting involved.

It involved having some opinions, which was really the cool thing.

So Ray lip synched my performance.

But then again Ray would also do his own thing so not everything fit exactly cause he needed

to have freedom to bring in his Darth Maul to it.

And then I came back and voiced it again to fill in all those spots.

So it was back and forth between me and Ray.

What I appreciated about the process is that both Ray and I were both respected for our

knowledge on this subject.

Little things like a producer saying to me, okay and then he's going to draw his lightsaber.

And I'm like okay, which lightsaber?

And they're like, his double bladed lightsaber from Phantom Menace.

And I'm like, alright, forgive me but he doesn't have that anymore.

You got two choices.

You can go with the darksaber, which means this, this, and this.

Or you can go with the Inquisitor lightsaber which means, interestingly enough, he's

being hunted by the Empire.

That was the cool thing.

That I didn't feel like I was going to be fired when I kicked up dust with a producer

or with Ron Howard.

They were like, no tell us more, what's the deal?

How did it feel for you as a fan to hear about Darth Maul being in the Solo movie as somebody

who is so encyclopedic, what did that mean to you immediately when you heard?

The weird thing about that stuff is I just get excited for the characters.

I'll be leaning in and be like, there's Cad Bane, cool!

Oh, there's Darth Maul, cool what's he doing?

And I'll forget for a second that I did it.

And I'll just watch it as a fan.

Ah Savage Opress is being cool.

Oh, oh look out Darth Maul.

And suddenly I'll go, oh, we did all that.

I forget them.

There have been a lot of other Star Wars announcements.

Just as Star Wars geek, Sam Witwer, what are you excited about?

What are you looking forward to?

I thought the Resistance trailer looked amazing.

It looks so good.

It looks amazing.

It looks so good.

I am such a fan of Robotech and Battle for the Planets…

Right, right, right.

And like that early 80s anime aesthetic.

Uh, huh, yeah!

And that's so fun to me.

It's super cool and we both know a lot of the people that are working on that and they're

extremely talented.

So I just can't wait to see what they do.

Especially since it's sort of a corner of the Star Wars universe that we haven't really seen.

I know in addition to everything else you are super busy with you wrote a book.

Yes, yes.

About one of the other things that you are an encyclopedia about.

Yeah.

Dungeons and Dragons.

Me and my brother Michael Witwer, Kyle Newman, and Jon Peterson wrote a book called Art and

Arcana and it is a visual history of Dungeons and Dragons.

It will take you from the early 70s all the way to modern day.

And it's a little bit like a time machine and it will take you through the whole thing.

You page through it you see cool pictures and it's coming in October.

It's a 450 page book so when you can get it for like $40 on Amazon that's a pretty

good deal.

What's the math on that guys, per page.

What is that?

[Off screen] 10 cents a page.

10 cents a page!

That's unheard of.

No one's ever done that!

No!

At these prices, how could you afford not to Dungeon and or Dragon?

You're gonna have to do both.

[Laughing]

You're gonna have to do both.

We started off by building a full scale replica.

In Ryder's basement.

Right.

No, I made that up.

You may have bought other books about the Millennium Falcon but you don't have this one.

If you have a YT-1300 in your garage and it hasn't been working for a while, this book

will get it up and running and you'll be flying it in no time.

Yeah.

And how customized the Falcon is when it's in Lando's possession and what specific

customizations Han wants that he adds.

So if you're wondering if we approached this from a very nerdy perspective the answer

is yes.

You know it's at this point in the show when we either talk about the episode or come

up with something for the audience to do, but this week we're doing something a little

bit different, and kind of self indulgent.

For nearly 4 years now Dana Jennings has been a big part of the StarWars.com team, as well

as the world's biggest Nien Nunb fan.

But sullistians aside, she has contributed a ton to the site, including updating most

of the Star Wars databank, making quizzes, and writing countless articles and fact files.

Not to mention she is probably the best and hardest working Associate Producer we've

had on this show.

Yeah.

And I say that knowing that your credit is Associate Producer.

I agree.

I agree with you.

And sadly, Dana is moving on from the StarWars.com team this week, and with her, goes the only

person who could fit into the Kevin the Ewok costume.

That's why, Dana, we'd like you to come on out one last time in the Kevin the Ewok costume.

Come here!

Alright, do you want to read the teleprompter?

Thanks for watching, and thank you for everything Dana and Kevin.

May the Force be with you.

[Laughing]

Of course!

Kevin absolutely dabs.

I think you're just swimming.

There it is!

Building Wilburton Elementary - Duration: 5:10.

(violin chord)

- [Beth] Education is all about relationships.

If you have a good relationship, you trust each other.

You can share the good, the bad, the ugly,

and you feel trust to do so.

And that's what's going to get us to the next step.

It's what everything is built on.

In the back of your mind, you always think

that you're gonna do something big, then change education.

Doing something new is scary. There's no traditions.

There's no it used to be a certain way.

When the opportunity came up, it was a no-brainer.

It was a dream that I got to be part of.

(car driving)

This is the site right here, this whole corner.

It's about a 9-acre spot, where they'll be building

an amazing new over-80,000-square-foot building.

The biggest piece of building a school from the ground up

is the possibility of new and change.

(light orchestral music)

The vision for Wilburton is to provide a relevant,

adaptive, and rigorous learning experience for all students.

The technology is the tool and the means

of how we will support students.

The very process of learning means risk and failure.

We're trying to create something different.

Welcome to our Wilburton Family Night here at Enatai.

The more I get to know our community,

the more we start to understand who are the kids

that are going to be sitting in front of us every single day

that we're going to be working with.

We can't be anxious, right, kids do their best learning

when they're calm and happy, and so

we've put that in there with the colors.

- [Construction Worker] This will all be covered in glass.

There's the ability to have a lot of collaboration

in the classroom and then also outside the classroom.

Many books will be here (drilling).

- [Beth] To bring the whole staff together,

that was the next piece. I could start thinking about

okay who's the staff that I wanna bring on board,

and what kind of person do we want to have.

Someone that's going to be innovative, try something new.

One of our questions that we asked had to do with,

"What was a lesson that failed, and what'd you do about it?"

(light orchestral music)

- [Mike] I see my role as not just giving them the answer.

I can help guide them to ask the right questions.

I want them to be curious learners, lifelong learners.

- [Beth] One person's not going to change the education of

a child, but a collective whole, a family working together,

that's what's gonna change education.

- [Anthony S] We're excited about this partnership,

'cause we're gonna see how our products are being used

by educators and students and hopefully learn about

how do we create environments here

at Wilburton that we can share and learn from

to scale all around the world.

- [Beth] The expertise that the Microsoft team has

supported us moving past traditional and onto something new.

(light orchestral music)

- [Mike] Innovation is binding us all together because

we're all excited about being able to try new things.

- [Beth] We're being innovative, we're trying.

It might not work, but that's okay,

'cause we'll find a way it will work.

I'm Beth Hamilton. I'm the principal at Wilburton.

We can have an opportunity as a staff to listen

to your ideas because we get to build a school from scratch.

I had coffee with so many parents,

and got to know them as people, who they were,

and their traditions and culture.

How can we bring that into the school and honor that?

All that was here was dirt, rocks, and wells.

To stand in the school and just take a deep breath--

It was emotional. Time stood still for a moment.

- [Karina] When I have to problem solve

or think on my feet, it makes it a lot easier

if I have a room that can move with my ideas,

versus me having to move around.

(light orchestral music)

- [Beth] The relationship we have with students,

and how we get to know them and their families is timeless.

Welcome, come on in (children's voices).

If you don't have that, you won't have a functioning school.

(applause and cheering)

- [Anthony S] Wow. Parents, welcome. Students, welcome.

This is a special place.

- [Beth] When you think about a family,

you have great times together,

but there's also times where in families,

there's problems and not agreeing,

and in a school, that happens every single day.

And we have to get to know each other and trust each other,

and know that we are here for the same reason,

and we will persevere and solve the problems

that arise together. It's just like a family.

134503300 - Replacing Your Frigidaire Dryer's Digital Display AP3851464 PS1145752 - Duration: 7:59.

Hi my name is Bill and today I'm going to be showing you how to replace the digital

display on your dryer the reason why you might have to do this is because some of the numbers

aren't showing up properly or because it's light isn't working at all for this repair

I'll be using a flat head screwdriver and a phillips head screwdriver

WARNING before doing any repairs please disconnect your power source

so this is the dryer we're going to

be used for this demonstration it's a Frigidaire keep in mind you might have one that's not

quite exactly the same as this but the same technique should still apply just make sure

you turn your gas off so the first thing I'm going to do is take the control knob off all

you have to do is pull straight out and now we'll turn the dryer around so we need to

remove these two screws right here and we're going to be using a phillips head screwdriver

and once we have those screws out we can pull the top back and then lift it off and put

it off to the side so now we're going to unscrew these two screws here and

we'll take off the grounding wire and now you can lift up on the control panel and then

we'll unplug all of these wires here and just make sure when you're removing these

wires that your pushing in on these tabs to release the wires from the board so this is

our electronic control board to get this off of the control panel we're going to unscrew

these screws now

now we have a couple more screws that are on the inside that we have to get out

now that we have all of the screws out we can lift up on the control board and separate

it from the control panel so now we have the display here and to get this cover off we

need a flat head screwdriver and we can use it to push in on the tabs and hopefully pop

the cover off there we go so now we're going to pull out the digital display and now we

have to separate the light pipe from the display so to do that we're going to get a little

bit of a finger nail here and I can watch that under neath the light pipe where it connects

to the display and just pry it up a little bit and then I can pull the two apart now

you can grab your new OEM replacement digital display if you don't have one already you

can find one on our online store so now we'll put our display together with our light pipe

and your just going to carefully feed the light pipes into the display you don't want

to force it in there you just want to let it go in on its own if you force it it could

break with the pipes once you get it in there everything will slide in nice and easy and

just push it all the way down in there and now you'll see inside of our control board

there there's two holes and they're going to line up with the two pieces right there

that's sticking out of the digital display and just set that into it's place so now we

can put the digital display window back on and we'll just pop that on and it snaps into

place just like that so now we're going to line up the pin here with that hole and everything

else should line up nicely in there so now that we have that set into place and now we

can screw it all back down so I'll start by putting the screws into the middle pieces

here again

so now we'll plug all of our wires back in now we're going to slide our control panel

up and you're going to line up the holes down here with the little tabs that are sticking

out and we're just going to reattach our grounding wire here now we're just lining up our holes

and screw it back in

now we'll put the top panel back on and when we do this one we'll just slide it all the

way forward until it's in place and then line up you're screw holes and screw it back in

now I can turn it back around and we can out our control knob back on

and your repair is complete now we can turn our gas back on
