Previously on Lifetime Travelmates
We spent 3 days in Hue.
It rained sometimes but it did not stop us from exploring this ancient capital city.
The royal tombs with their beautiful surrounding nature
and the Hue local food made us love that place.
We took a train to go to Da Nang, the beautiful city along the coastline.
We arrived in Da Nang.
The hostel was pretty new and clean.
There were 4 beds in the room but it was only the two of us so we used it like a private room.
We dropped our bags and got out as soon as possible
because we were so hungry after the train ride.
We are gonna have some lunch.

We are lookin for a place to eat and Jenny or Chang, the lady at our hostel,
told us a very good place where they have
Bánh xèo.
Bánh xèo, which is the dish that we could not have in Hanoi.
And we are gonna have, hopefully, now!

Pretty amazing.

Oh My God!
Linh Ung pagoda is famous for the huge statue of 67m high Lady Buddha.
The local people here believed that the statue of Lady Buddha not only protect the fisherman
but also offering them strength for facing storms and strong waves.
It is considered as the largest pagoda by its scale and artistic architecture in Danang city.
We have been visited so many temples in Vietnam
but this one was very special with its location near the sea.
Also, we really enjoyed the courtyard with different kind of bonsai trees and statues.
Look all what those babies are touching carefully.

Beautiful Da Nang but very cloudy today.
If we are lucky, maybe
we get some sun in the afternoon like yesterday.
And then, we take a bath on the beach.
We swim.
And something happened on the way.
What are you doing?
We are just waiting for someone to come to fix our flat tire.
Can you believe it?
Oh shit!
One month in Vietnam and we had two flat tires.
I guess it is quite common.
Last time in the Ha Giang loop, the last day, we paid 60000 dong.
Maybe here it's less or maybe more because they have to come.
We will see.
He is our hero!
One of the newest tourist attractions of Danang City is the Dragon Bridge
In Vietnam, dragons are symbols of prosperity, power of the nation, and growth.
Number 6 is considered a lucky number in Vietnamese culture, so the dragon is 666 meters long,
66 meters high and has 6 lanes for cars and motorcycles.
On weekends the dragon spits fire and water.
We watched the whole show while enjoying some craft beer on a rooftop with nice views.
Da Nang is a very touristy city with lots of hotels and resorts.
We felt it quite different from the rural places we had been before.
But still, it is a beautiful city, with a good beach
and a combination of local and international cuisine.
And even though it wasn't our favorite place in Vietnam,
we had a good time enjoying the convenience and feeling the urban vibes.
