#40 Monkey Magic Banana Pudding | 몽키 매직 바나나 푸딩 | Magnolia Bakery's Pudding [CF #8] - Duration: 10:09.
"Monkey Monkey Magic~"
(Juwon Tube)
What day is it today?
"Cooking (Anneeee) Friday"!
What are we making today?
"Monkey Monkey Magic Pudding"!
What do we need?
We need caramel candy.
Do we need that?
Push the record button once.
Okay.
Now your camera is on.
The first thing we're buying is this.
For today's menu, we need a blender.
I trying to find a red chocolate bean.
I guess there's no more red chocolate beans.
Daddy! Daddy!
Can we buy another "LEGO" set?
Can I have some ice cream or a candy?
We're buying banana.
There's a "Kancho"!
Can you sing us "Kancho Song"?
(singing "Kancho Song")
(Singing "Saeng Cream Pie Song")
Yes, we're also making "Saeng Cream" today. ("Saeng Cream" means "fresh cream" in Korean)
I found banana!
How do you like this one?
It is heavy!
This is a pack of whip cream.
Shall we buy two of them?
Yes.
("Juwon" is speaking his own language.)
("Yong D" can't understand... Do you have any idea what he's trying to say?)
I'll try to repeat what he's saying.
It doesn't have any meaning, but it sounds good.
How do you like this one, can we use this?
I want that "Pororo" snack.
(singing "Pororo Song")
The final ingredient is marshmallow.
I think they don't have marshmallow here.
We need it!
Can you find marshmallow?
That is marshmallow.
Is that right?
Are you saying that this is marshmallow?
How come they don't have marshmallow in the market?
Hold my hand daddy.
If we go home without marshmallow, we will miss it a lot. What can we do about that?
My question is: "Should we stop by another mart or should we do it without marshmallow".
Let me ask "Juwon".
Juwon.
They don't have marshmallow here.
What should we do?
Shall we cook without it?
He definitely wants a "Squid Snack".
Seriously, "Juwon", let's talk about this.
We've tried every single market around us to find marshmallow.
But we couldn't find a single pack of marshmallow.
And he is very disappointed.
Are you disappointed?
Look at him. He is frowning.
I'm busy drinking soy milk.
"E-Mart" doesn't sell marshmallow!
There's no marshmallow!
That's right.
When we came home, my mom (his grandmother) said, "Oh, they sell marshmallow in the nearest market, the small one".
So that's where we are going.
We're taking this.
Grandma was right.
There is a marshmallow in the nearest store.
Go! Go!
According to "YouTube Analytics", a huge number of fans are watching "Juwon Tube" from Vietnam and Indonesia.
We would like to express our gratitude by learning and sharing your food.
So for the next couple of weeks we'll be learning Vietnamese and Indonesian food.
But the problem is, we have no idea what to do!
"Juwon", are you familiar with Indonesian food?
I'm ready to fly to the sky.
Ready to fly?
Go ahead. Fly away.
Therefore, our "Cooking Friday" is totally depending on you, my good friends from Vietnam and Indonesia!
Please tell us what to try.
You can simply write down the name of the dish, then we will look it up.
And try it for the next "Cooking Friday".
I'll see you in the kitchen.
I think "Juwon" is going to say "Anneeee" instead of "Juwon Tube".
Please excuse us.
"Juwon Anneeeee".
Today is "Cooking Anneeee Friday"!
What are we cooking today?
"Monkey Monkey Magic Pudding"!
Can you tell me how to make pudding?
You mix it all and "Brrrrrr"
What are the ingredients?
Milk!
Do we need some milk?
We have 300ml of milk.
Be cautious. You shouldn't boil the milk.
Warm the milk just a little bit.
I'm adding some butter. (about 15 gram)
What is unsalted butter?
It doesn't have salt in it.
No salt.
While we're waiting for the milk to cool down, "Juwon" is going to slice the banana.
Can you tell us about this knife?
This one doesn't have a blade.
My banana slice is too big to eat.
Can you make it a little bit thinner?
My friends, if you're using a knife you should do it with your parents.
While "Juwon" is making banana slice, "Yong D" is going to prepare "custard cream".
Can you tell me how to make custard cream?
All you need to do is "Brrrrrrrr".
It's my first time making "Custard Cream".
The first step is, adding four egg yolks and a spoonful of sugar and then...
"Brrrrrrrrr"!
And we're adding a little bit of starch powder.
If you want to make your mix a bit stickier you need to add more starch powder or flour.
Do you understand?
Yes.
It moves like "slime".
"Juwon" has done slicing banana.
This is egg yolks mixed with sugar and starch powder.
(Adding butter milk)
This is going to turn into "Custard Cream".
Let's go and boil it slightly.
I want to smell it.
What is the next ingredient "Juwon"?
I'm crushing some cookies.
Once I'm done crushing cookies, I'll taste it a little bit. It looks so yummy.
By the way, this small cookie is "Egg Cookie".
(It is similar to "Vanilla Wafer")
In the meantime, "Custard Cream" is being ready.
I want this cream to be as sticky as "creampuff cream".
You ate them all, "Juwon".
And you ate nearly half of banana.
I think we should do it all again.
"Juwon", I think you've eaten all the necessary ingredients.
What can we do?
While we're waiting for the "Yellow Cream" to cool down, I'm going to make whip cream (white cream).
Are you ready?
Yes.
Milk. Milk. This is milk.
The other ingredients already have some sugar so we're adding just a little bit of sugar this time.
I'll do it.
Once again, you ate it all!
Yes I ate it all!
Please crush the cookies again. You need to fill up this bowl.
Now I'm mixing it with the blender.
Good job!
Now all we need to do is mixing them all together!
Yes.
One scoop of this and one scoop of that.
The ratio is one to one.
Now it's your turn to add a scoop of whip cream.
Okay.
Blend the mixture gently.
Are you taking care of this?
This is how "Custard Cream" looks when it's completed!
Can you place the banana slice on the bottom of the cup?
And then you add a spoon of "Custard Cream".
You spread crushed cookie.
It looks so silly.
Are these eyes too far from each other?
It's a heart!
Look at how "Juwon" made his pudding.
It's very creative.
This is a chocolate tale.
We've tried "Monkey Monkey Magic Pudding" today.
It's banana pudding.
Shall we start eating?
Yes.
"Juwon" fell in love with the chocolate tale.
This pudding is really good.
Do you like it?
Yummy, yummy. It's the best.
The best pudding.
The texture is creamy and crunchy.
And this banana...
Banana is a key ingredient to balance the taste.
We can't do this without banana. It's the key.
It's excellent!
This is "Cooking Friday"!
We've done making "Monkey Monkey Magic Pudding~"!
"Juwon Anneeeeee"
You did a great job.
It's time to enjoy pudding!
Don't miss the next episode!
(There's a post-credit scene)
"Juwon", it's time to steal the hearts of your fan.
I'm going to steal your heart!

Behind the Scenes Event Coverage -Global Village: On to Greater Ends - Duration: 8:23.
what's up guys Arvin Concepcion aka
concep creatives and I have returned
with an upgraded version of
of a behind the scenes
before you would usually see
behind the scenes in the weekly vlogs
but since there are no more weekly vlogs
I'm very happy and proud to present the
behind the scenes as its own separate
video so since I don't want to make this
introduction too long I'm gonna go
straight to it so I got invited to cover
this event this global village on to
greater ends event last week so I
covered that whole event by myself and
this and this episode will demonstrate
or show you an insight on what I was
thinking while shooting what what was i
shooting with and how was i shooting
throughout the whole event and so
without further ado start the intro
so the event I covered is called the
Global Village on to greater ends and I
had Miko dimalanta shoot the behind the
scenes for me so thank you, for those of you gear
heads I was using the Panasonic g7 with
the 25 F 1.7 with a yunteng monopod for
a very run n gun light setup so I can
get everything I need to get while
shooting so here I'm just looking around
for reactions and interactions really
that was really important for me and you
can see here that Jem the person who
invited me is interacting with the
participants which is really important
and the participants here
interacting with each other was really important to capture
and of course I was trying to
get the organizing committee themselves
you know what their reactions and whatnot
here we're getting the the props
so here the event started we have our
hosts addressing the participants and
just setting the overall tone and
ofcourse I needed to capture that for that
so here we have the host interacting
with the audiences which is really
really important to happen
so here the participants are getting
hyped up and they're getting ready to dance and follow along with the AIESEC people
so here they're dancing and I
have to run around and shoot that so
here are some panasonic g7 ungraded
1080p at 60 frames per second slowed
down at 40% footage
The secret here was to not stop
recording and so I had to run around while
the record button is still on so I don't
miss any moment I just have to set my
position and then pull the focus as you
can see here I'm moving around and the
record button still on we're still
recording I'm just trying to find really
great reactions so here we have the
first speaker which we'll, we'll have like
a lot of speakers here
so my main point here is to get a lot of angles when a
person speaking especially if you're
covering that event alone try to move
around and get a lot of angles of each
of the speakers and maybe even couple of
audience reactions right here and yeah
so right here I'm actually at the back
of the crowd now so I'm getting multiple
angles as I've said which is really, really important
so here I wanted to
kind of show that there are a lot of
people and then there's this one speaker
trying to address them all
so here we have our second speaker I'm on the right
side now so I moved around again and I
try as much as to give Headroom to each
of the speakers that I shoot so that
when I crop in they don't they don't get
cut off too much
so here I'm trying to get the audience's reactions and they're
they're clapping all together to cheer on
the guy which is a really nice moment so
as you can see here the Chinese girls
are dancing but I forgot to do a 60
frames per second footage so I have to
stop recording and then go switch and
then record again so again I'm on the
left side now then I'm behind the crowd
so I'm getting multiple angles of each
speaker and here we have the interaction
between speaker and participant so that
is a really nice moment to have
so here they're announcing that the booths are now
open for all the participants and here
I'm trying to get the transition between
speaking and then the booth interaction
so that's that part
so here's some Panasonic g7 ungraded footage at 4k at
24 frames per second
so this event started at a very low
light setting and I really liked to have
some back lights because backlight for me
is just super cinematic so throughout
the whole interactions in the booth I
tried to get interactions between the
participants and the participants and
the committee members and the
participants and and the foreigners and
I really wanted to get all that
so here I am, not knowing what else to shoot so
for some reason there is people dancing
here and I loved that moment so I
captured it 60 frames per second
here we have another participant and committee
member interacting that's nice
so here I am on top of the chairs trying
to get the rotation of each group going
through each booth so so here we have
our speaker telling everyone that the
events almost ending and I was so happy
that the people that worked the lights
put the light on her so like she had
like a little bit of spotlight on her so
that was really nice so we have the
committee members kind of interacting
singing their song so that's really nice
and you know I didn't get to put
any of that in there because I was
moving my camera a lot so here we have
their their dancing number at the end of
the event and I quickly I quickly set up
my camera at 60 frames per second so I
can do all this dancing slow-mo because
it was super super nice and he was very
cinematic in the edit
so we get all this movement we get everyone smiling faces
and then we get like a lot of flickering
and it was just a really dynamic part in
the event to shoot
so I didn't get to shoot this part but
like Mico got these people dancing and I dont know
i didnt, i didnt get to see that part theres that.
so that is all the footage
that Mico covered for the behind the
scenes from the beginning of the event
to the end of the event
and it wasn't a whole lot he didnt follow
me a whole lot through covering the
whole thing but he did what was needed
and thank you once again Mico so now
that you have seen how I shot this I
think it'd be interesting if you guys
saw the full edited version which should
be linked up here and also down below in
the description hope you guys go check
it out and tell me what you think about
it and hopefully this video helped you
in any way possible on how you can cover
events and if you did learn something go

How long does my EQ take to charge? | Mercedes-Benz EQ Basics - Duration: 2:00.
A recurring question regarding electric vehicles is: how long does it take to charge?
The answer is simple. It depends on different factors, one of them being whether you are using AC or DC.
AC means alternating current.
This is the electricity that you usually get from the outlets in your home.
It is also used for your Mercedes-Benz Wallbox and at most public charging stations.
Here, the charging capacity is commonly up to 22 kW.
As the battery actually can only accept DC, direct current, there is an on-board charger inside every vehicle.
This charging device converts the alternating current to the direct current which is suitable for the battery.
DC also facilitates a short period of rapid charging with high performance.
The trick is that, with DC, the conversion of electricity from AC to DC already happens at the charging station.
This means that more performance is available, and more performance means shorter charging times.
There are special rapid charging stations for this –
in Europe, for example, IONITY is creating an entire network of charging stations
that can provide a charging capacity of up to 350 kW.
You can find these on European highways.
Plus, the charging times also depend on the size of the battery.
This means that the larger the battery, the further you can drive on one single charge.
In turn, the charging also takes longer.

Filipina British Life in UK: My Uk Driving Experience! - Duration: 26:00.
Hi mga palangga! So good afternoon ooh well
good evening ...time here is 7:10 pm
We just been in Tesco
minutes past 7:00 in the evening
We did a bit of grocery shopping and later on we will do my UK driving experience so hopefully we can do it..
Driving experience? You don't wanna go through what I went through....
Why? .....I'll tell you later
John: You'll be amazed
We're home Tesco
and I'll just do a little bit of makeup
cuz John is not ready as well...he's making coffee
So I will use my time so I can be more presentable also
This past few days I have a lot of breakouts because I am lack of sleep.
What is this?
What?..it's a fluff
Here you are madam
Sit down with me
What a about please?
This is what I have to put up guys..I get boss around
Let's adjust the camera...You need to adjust it cuz I no have hair
I can't even see that camera properly
Right anyway...cheers guys
C'mon
Today..Mia would like me to enlighten you
or steer as in learning to
drive in the UK.... Well there's many ways
you can do it and different options are. And we did it..or I did the way I wanted to do it because
to me was the best way but this is my opinion
Right any basically..... one piece of
advice if you come into the you care from the countries where you actually drive on the right hand side of the road not on the left like we do
I would really suggest that you don't have any driving tuition in your country
because it will only confuse you
very much when you arrive here that we drive on the left. The steering wheels on the right-hand side of the car.
So if you planning on wanting to learn to drive
don't take practice in your country of origin unless you drive on the same side as us it makes it much easier
especially for yourself and especially
for the person who is teaching you to drive so anyway once you've arrived in the UK yeah I think you have to be here
for so long and then you can apply for a what they call a provisional driving
Now you can do that by going on
to the DVLA website and you can
physically fill all the application form in. You obviously got to fill and give them everything that's required
(We have to give a proof of identity which she has done)..
Well, what I did when I apply my provisional license I have my biometriccard by then so that's what we used to get my PL
And when we apply for provisional license we have to pay I think about £30 around that
But I think it only last for 2 years so they are saying technically is enough time for you to learn to drive and take the test and once you have taken your test
and everything then you can apply for your
full UK driving license but here in the
UK our test consists of two parts one is the theory test and practical test
but the theory test is in categories..2 category
two categories... multiple choice and hazard perception test
Right, once you got that then once you've got that then you started doing your practicing for your theory(practical test)
And then what we decided to do was to.. Well I decided it... was I would get
her a little car manual this is.. a manual car because you see here in the UK
if you pass your test in a manual you
can drive a manual as well as an automatic but if you pass your test in a
automatic you can only drive automatic
Your not allowed to drive a manual car so Mia wasn't very happy about having to
learn to drive a manual but now she can do it...(Mia:I still stall my car) Everybody stall the car
The end of the day you now can drive either so you have the freedom you can choose whatever car
(I always wanted to learn automatic)I know you want automatic so anyway so that's basically what we did
So we got the little car and then obviously got to take out insurance for the car so she could drive on our highways
We did that online... we shopped around online
and got the best deal because the insurance premium is crazy money but we did okay we got to affordable.
Tthen so once we've got that then it is time to take to the road
Well this is where the fun begins
You see quite often when you learn something someone something you only have to tell them once and they learn
But I don't know about driving car..you can tell them thousand times and still don't work and i don't know why
Have you got any clues?
So anyway I taught her the basic how to use the clutch, the brakes and the gas
and the general principle of control in the car... we just stay very local to home and we're just off the on
the smaller roads out the way of the busy places, got going and learning to do some
procedures with drive and finally
Will go out once a week practice (if lucky cuz John is busy at that time) didn't we? (Mia-if got any luck cuz you are busy)
But to be fair it did not take you long to learn, did it?
Well I don't know. I got a lot of shout from you. I am now deaf
She lies..You shout me a lot like brake!!brake!!!
Well the thing is if you don't shout on someone when they're not doing
something you got to get their attention to get them to do the job right.
But I always told you that shouting doesn't help..But it actually did..stopped us from crashing..
He is so annoying instructor!Like C'mon lets do practice etc..and I keep having my excuse but he refuses it he still take me on the road
But it's good that my husband really push me in doing this cuz I never thought of learning to drive..and omg!! all of the sudden I can drive...
But you see it made it simpler for myself because Mia no idea
how to drive a car... she physically doesn't didn't know how a car work
anything so I actually made my job a
little a lot easier because she didn't think she knew how to drive.. she didn't have a clue which was good.
Everything I told her she had to believe that I was telling the truth you say and do it
(Mia- So you we're lying to me!!) So tell her to do it my way
but anyway anyway... we overcame the certain things she struggled with hill start
so what we do we just go on to Hill and
I would just make it stop, start, stop, start, on the hill and lots of time and continue to do and we find steeper Hills
to do it and steeper just to try
Where she actually had a weaknesses I would basically really pump into her a lot
(Mia-thats why I got a lot of tears) lt's like repetition of doing something you do get it..it soon comes to you
Repeating....repeating...doing the same thing it just had to practice the clutch control and gas
But once you got all that.... that was it....
And then because I got to the stage where she could drive the car safely, control the car within reason
She'd obviously done all the studying online and what I decided to do was not to use a driving instructor
Local to us.. we have this training center and they actually is where within the training center...There is separate little department which is the DVLA
Where you could actually take your test
but company basically they do all the driver training but I'd done 99.9% of the
training all Mia had to learn was was
how to pass a test because she could
physically do everything so we took we booked her in to have an assessment(4 hours driving)
Anyways she had the assessment and it was only a short number of hours she actually needed to
be to physically take a test and hopefully pass the first time
So anyway we booked in... it was a couple of months down the line before she could actually get in so we always kept on doing a bit of driving and keeping it in her nice and fresh
And she has 3 days driving(4 hours per day) and the 4th day its her practical..she do a bit of driving(2 hours) before the test
Just keep practicing..a lot of shouting...tears
You don't say that you are so horrible to me when we did the driving
I was actually good there is a saying you've got to be cruel to be kind sometime
This particular thing I might have been bossy or boss
But in that attitude basically put it in the right position of driving a car to be able to pass a tes
so anyway came November(its october)
and off she goes I take her down every morning to do it for the next three days to do the driving
And the 4th day was her test day the test there so but they were very
adamant that she was that good she would pass and I just said well I wouldn't say
that because all she has to do is make a couple of mistakes on her test and she's failed ...doesn't matter how good you are you could still make mistake
so I always said don't be overconfident in what you're doing because that's when
you goes wrong for yourself so when it
came to test day.... did the test flying colours you passed first time
basically that was it and what physically cost us or cost me financially for the driving excluding buying her a car and everything
but actually just teaching her to drive is cheapest way and going to test centre
cost just over 500 pounds yeah right.... so and the way we actually did it was a
very cheap way of doing it... you see
But everybody's not in a position where they can find something you has the time and can teach them... so the other option is
you got to go with a driving instructor
but the downside of driving instructors is they do this for their living
you know and the charge about £25 to £30 per hours ...we did rang around to see
And they are saying you need up to 40 hours you know which to me equates to a lot of money
So this is why I decided, I would do it the way I did if you can't do that way
basically you have to go with an instructor and it could cost you up to £2,000 plus to do it
Which if you find somebody who you know or you husband or whatever
Can teach you that's if they are able to do it..it will save you lots of money and you'll be up and now driving and enjoying it aren't you?
No..I am still a nervous driver...
I just have a trouble with this hill start
though I don't know I just don't like hill start..(John-just a thing in your mind though)
I still stall my car and it's so embarrassing mostly when there is a car behind me just like no no please because she's panicking you see...instead of just relax and just do what she should do..
training should kick in... she panics and flustered because there's somebody her flashing their lights, beeping their horns..just ignore them
I know but it really pressured me that you have to do it right..
Pressure? Yes pressure....You only pressuring yourself don't you?
well yeah once you pass your test what you have to do then is send or give all your stuffs to your examiner or they ask you after the test if you let them do it or you do it.
And then you end up getting a full UK driving license
And I think you have to pay for it..(so sorry we forgot it now)
And also if you have a license from Philippines you could physically drive here
physically drive in this country for one
year and one day but after that you will have to apply for a UK driving test to
be able to continue to drive so obviously if you had a Philippines
driving license yes you could drive
But what I was wondering do you have to have to get insurance as well?
You have to have insurance in every car, your car must be
depending if it's three years old or
newer you have to have the road tax and insurance if the cars over three or older it has to have MOT
Well once you've done it.. that's it... it is great you know you can go
in any country and drive basically with the British driving license yeah
So here we are she got a lovely little Toyota Aygo
Done with very little low mileage(11,578)if you wanna buy it, its for sale
And she gonna walk to work
Now, I may said things I did but really did you find it difficult learning to drive in this country and physically getting to the system and passing your test?
Well..I mean it's not like that-hard because you got fear, anxiety ..you have those what if's and I can't's
And so that's what it makes more harder you just need to be mentally ready to do
your driving lesson that's all I can say
just be mentally ready, be confident and be brave... that's all it is
Did you??Drive without your theory? That's why I was telling you that you can drive without it your theory
As long as you have PL ..yes well you can't drive
But you can only drive on a provisional license when you must have a fully qualified UK license holder sat in
the car with you basically you just can't drive alone..

086 - London, The Paddington Arm and finding a mooring in the Paddington Basin for our Narrowboat - Duration: 19:11.
So, We're in Greenford,
on the paddington almost Grand Union Canal.
And we're not loving it
We're not loving being in London
If you've been following us for a while, you'll know that
when we were at Braunston, we were planning to head west
towards Birmingham, but for a number of reasons,
we decided to come and do London instead.
It's just even though there are green spaces.
Like we're here, we're in a place called Paradise fields, were just feeling kind of really
closed in, and the weather's not helping, it's really hot,
Its 32 degrees and I
feel like there needs to be more of this rain before it cools down. So,
we found our mooring in the shade,
which makes a huge difference. I need the ball here George.
Oooh. I just hit the dog.
But it's still
ridiculous, it's still too hot. I think we would just feel a bit better about it
if we weren't in the city. There is just so much rubbish around and there's so many people around I
mean obviously because its a city.
and...
like, people are just disgusting, the canal is full of litter. The fields are full of litter,
the litter boxes are full and I'm surrounded by litter. I mean we want to do London. We want to se the...
See the canals, we want to go up the Regents Canal, we want to come back down the Thames,
we want to go and do the Lee and the Stort
But it just feels like such a long way. Not really where we want to be right now.
We got to that mooring at the pub two days ago and we just stopped there because we'd run out of energy.
And it was okay. It was a bit noisy the with some guitar playing late at night and stuff.
Yeah, there was some really bad guitar playing late at night. Very late at night like 2 O'clock in the morning.
there was still somebody strumming a guitar. And then across the way, there was some sort of massive diesel generator or something,
that was just running all night. So
quite noisy. And then in the morning
we were in the full sun, so it got really hot, really early, so we that we kind of had no choice but to
move on, and we didn't want to move very far,
I thought I'd found a mooring, just around the corner, but it was too shallow. So we had to go a little bit further
Yeah. And we found one, which is still a bit shallow, Like
we're kind of grounding out. But it's not as bad. It's doable and we've had full shade for the last two days
And it makes such a difference in this heat.
So yesterday morning, the only cooling I could get done was by sticking my arm into the canal to clean out the weed hatch and today there has been this
extremely disappointing fitful rain, that just happens everyone once in a while, and its like one drop on your nose and its like oh yes
Please and then it doesn't happen. And it's suppose to cool off.
But we do have this really nice field for throwing for George in. We found out what the weed was called. It's called duck weed.
yeah, so it's...
apparently a major problem
It's just little tiny, little tiny weeds. I mean, they're little tiny plants that just float on the surface,
but what happens is they can double, in like
you know, days, they can double in size, and then double, and double, and double, and double, and so they can really
Rapidly take this huge carpet of duck weed across the river.
They drown out other species by, not allowing
oxygen into the water, so they can cause problems for other wildlife and stuff. And they can look like grass, so dogs go
Oh, yes. I will walk on that... sploosh.
But other than that, they're not really... it's not really that bad. It's just really, really... It's not pretty.
It's kind of pretty but after a while it gets kind of annoying. It's not pretty because the rubbish just floats on top of it.
Yeah, well, that's the rubbish is fault. Right? Like I don't blame the rubbish, the duck weed looks pretty cool. It's the people's fault.
It's the rubbish that looks pretty bad.
I'm looking forward to the actual Regents Canal, the section through, sort of...
well, Paddington Arm up has been a little bit on the um
crowded side, a little bit on the dingy side, not a lot to
actually see, other than sort of large amounts of construction at the sides of the canal.
There's these nice sections of green, which are cool. But then then they're covered in rubbish and they're full of people.
Yes. Which is fine. Obviously people can use it.
People good. Rubbish bad.
People bring a lot of rubbish.
The towpath is like really busy where the cyclists. I think it's the first time we were really experienced, like relentless
cyclists. Relentless like every couple of seconds, there is wizz, wizz wizz.
And so we have to be really careful of George, because he is not aware of them, and they don't slow down for him.
I mean some of them ring the bell and are friendly, but others just wizz past. Too fast. At like easily 40 mph.
There are some nice things about it. We're just like a block away from Brompton, the manufacturers of the folding
bicycles. We've passed a couple of large
manufacturers of Indian
savories, like snacks and stuff. So that's kind of nice and smelly. Apparently, there's way more of them in a
little bit of ways, we're going to be passing through a section of industrial food production
You've found a nice polish shop
Yep found the nice polish shop, met a tiny snake
You know, it's basically it's like, hmm. George really likes this field,
Don't want to complain. I mean, I actually kind of like it. It's just I
do feel
the sort of congestion of people.
Well, it's a bit of a mooring problem because Jo's garden is sort of hanging up there and,
and, it was interfering with these branches, so we had to move back and forth, to try and keep ourselves out of these lovely acorn trees
acorn trees. But branches mean shade and that is why we are under them.
Yeah, although that hasn't been good for our solar. So we're actually low on power this morning
For the first time in quite a while. So we're just leaving
Greenford, heading into central London for the first time
Hoping to get a mooring in Paddington, which is only about 2 or 3 hours away.
If we don't get a mooring in Paddington we will keep going until we find a mooring. We don't really want to go up the Camden Lock today but... we might do. Yeah.
As you can see behind me, there is a
morass of duckweed, which means that
pretty much everything that we could run over that, I would normally try and avoid, is hidden from me
And my brother is with us today
Yeah, so we got another,
another,
ride-along. That'll be fun. And
Yeah. Lets go.
Okay, through the duck weed and on.
This duckweed stuff really is amazing, like, it looks like split peas,
Or some sort of legume,
The individual components are just... the individual plants are just these tiny little, sort of half split peas,
And they grow in this massive green carpet,
that, essentially, just...
nothing can really harm it for very long, like I'm coming along and
messing up its path, but it'll all just flood back in and be a solid carpet again in a few minutes
Just crazy, they have these like
dedicated boats that come along, and just skim the stuff off the surface, and
they're not even making a dent in it apparently, like there's just so much of it,
this heat wave has just really helped it grow
So, you know...
at some point if somebody can figure out a way of turning these things... like digest them or something into some sort of
food or a fuel it would be great.
We have entered the cloud of savory food production.
It smells like all manor of spice at once, like a punch to the face.
There's bits of good
This is the North Circular aqueduct
It is a massive aqueduct
over a big road
It is very noisy
And it still smells
of the foods of all cultures at once
I just got filmed and wave at by all the people on the bridge back there, we're now officially a tourist attraction
Ah, Little Venice, busy as ever.
Lots of boats, lots of noise, lots of tourists.
London
And apparently this building over here, is an architecturally engineered building, as opposed to I guess any other building
that wasn't engineered by architects.
I thought thats what architects did.
Anyway, over there Paddington Station
Sort of right smack dab in the middle everything.
So we're in the Paddington Basin and it's windy as all hell.
Which is why we are recording inside, we started recording outside but it was too windy so we had to come in.
I apparently needed some extra praise for my parking job. You required it. I required it.
But we did, we did in fact do the parking okay.
Basically pulled into the basin
went down to the end, where there was a bunch of canoes, got yelled at by a woman who's telling me not to moor where I wasn't
trying for moor.
Spun around and came back. And we're actually double moored. You can't see but there is a boat right there.
Yeah, we're side on with another boat. Because we're in London, we're double moored.
So it's pretty good, except for we're on the water side, and there's these Go Boats, which are like little
tourist boats, that are rented out to people, with absolutely no instruction of how to actually drive a boat.
We've only been hit once so far. But there's been about 50 near misses. So, you know, it's, it's, it's, it's fun
Beautiful little area. I mean, you know the architecture and everything is really pretty cool. Last time
I was here, They were sort of rebuilding, like parts of it hadn't been finished.
Yeah, there is some construction down there. But like, the whole way I was like I really want to get a mooring in Paddington.
And we did. And its a seven day mooring so we can stay up to seven days so that is really cool
So it was quite an interesting cruise down here. For a lot of it
you didn't feel like you're in London, because you're in this protected green corridor.
Yeah.It felt little bit industrial, and there was a lot of rubbish.
But you didn't feel... I would say a lot industrial. It was a mix of old industrial and new industrial as well.
And then we passed through the wall of smell, Mexican, Indian, like,
Several different types of Middle Eastern and Asian food all sort of... it was like they were just manufacturing it all at once
so it was just, very smell in one,
amazingly powerful punch in the face. And there is like loads of different boats.
Not a lot of traffic though. That was nice. There was a lot of boats that were moored up,
So there wasn't you know,
there wasn't really any where to stop. There was a few... I surprised how many moorings there were, like until you really got
to Kensal Green it started to get busier, but even...
even just outside here. There was... There was a few. You'd have to double moor but there were spaces.
Well, especially if you were smaller boats, and there was some really nice-ish spots along the way
There's a lot of places where I'm pretty sure it was just I'm just silted up. Under that big road was awful
Yeah, yeah, that was huge.
And then there was a, there was a lot of duck weed. A whole bunch of duck weed. And there were multiple vehicles out...
vehicles, small boats that were doing the job of trying to clear the duckweed,
it was really funny when we came across that one, like,
There was a little tiny duckweed boat, sitting beside an enormous
barge that had been filled like, you know
they're going back and forth and clearing as much stuff away as they can, and then filling up
the, the barge, and they basically have to use shovels to get into the barge.
But the complete thing is completely surrounded by duck weed. It didn't even look the boat had done anything.
It didn't look like they had cleared anything. No.
And then just as we were coming into Little Venice,
there's like quite a narrow low bridge, and this other vehicle, came whizzing through, that was like
scooping up the duckweed, and I was like. That looked much more efficient.
I was like, Oh, we'll have to wait for it to pass. But then it pulled over to the other side. And I was
like, Oh, he's letting us pass that way. But then he scooped up some duck weed, spun around.
Michael had to like, slam into reverse, to stop hitting him.
Yeah. And then he was back off, and I think he probably just thought, I'm gonna be really quick
so I'll just.. And they are very manoeuvrable
But you really wish they'd warned you of which direction they intend to go in. And then down here
the basin is pretty much completely clear. do you think it is clear because of those bubble...
Well, I think the bubble... they have these,
bubble gates, so basically they've got a
constant air supply that's throwing bubbles up into
the canal, at a couple of choke point bridges. And it does seem to keep the junk from
floating in, yeah. Oh the tourists were really nice. Oh yeah we got...
People were being very sweet, didn't understand a word they were saying,
Like I'm glad we've come into London, I'm glad we are seeing it from the boat, but i'd much rather be somewhere else.
Yeah, that's my thing too, I'm glad we're here, I'm glad we're visiting it, I want to spend some time here.
You know, I mean we've been to London, obviously, like you've been in London your whole life, I've been to London,
quite a few times, but there's a lot of stuff that I haven't, sort of, gone to
And, and, so there's always sort of a little bit of a draw
but as we were boating along, the number of times where I was just like
I would not want one of these moorings.
Like I mean, I wouldn't mind staying there for, you know a night,
but, but...To be one of... like I know people have to do it, because they work in London,
but to be one of the boats that has to come backwards and forwards like
Doesn't look pleasant
So that was our trip into London proper, via the Paddington Arm and
the, I guess we're all in the beginning of the Regents, or is that when we turn.
I think that is when we turn. Ah, we are not quite on the Regents. So next time we will be on the Regents and it'll be
Yeah, the Islington Tunnel. I think there's another little tunnel. Yeah, there's two tunnels. There's Camden
Ah yeah, The Camden Locks. Sort of, to a certain extent where it all began. For us. For you.
For me, the inkling of the idea came from one of the locks in Camden. So, you know, we'll see.
Yeah. So thanks for watching,
like, click, comment, subscribe, hit the bell shaped buttony thing-a-me-do
and enjoy
Yeah, we're not enjoying being in the city, we want to go North, we want to get out of the city. GEORGE. COME HERE. GEORGE
We want our dog to behave.
George, George, George, George,
He's doing a poo
This encourages us to that talk very much but there's you first and you're the one that's got the problem with to okay, yeah
Yes
Hello we have branches in our faces they
Forgot me too
You
