Today our guest is BTFC RDA. This is another collaboration of Augvape with vape reviewer VapnFagan

Hey hey hey! Hello everyone! Good morning, folks. It's really morning, because now is 8:20 AM on the clock
I intentionally woke up earlier to make the review before there's gets hot and stuffy outside.
Cool air is blowing from the window and it's great and very nice to film a review this early in the morning
So my face may seem sleepy, but the brain is fully functional
So let's get to review
I freaking love collaborations. When a reviewer make a device in cooperation with some company
This device is not always is a full-fledged design of the reviewer himself
Most of the time it's when company develops some device and offer a reviewer to put their logo on it and make a joint product
And this RDA is vivid example of such cooperation
So Augvape came to VapnFagan, showed him several decks and he chose this exact deck and slightly modified the looks of this RDA
Overall, what can I say about this RDA? It has deck for dual coils, it has bottom airflow in the posts, it has deep juice well and it can be used with squonk mods
But more detailed specs will be in close up
So let's dive down
Okay, let's get to it. Here we have a standard tube packaging by Augvape, whis has the name of device BTFC - Bottom Top Flavor Cloud
VapnFagan logo and Augvape social media
Scratch code for authenticity check and color mark sticker
A little bit of information about manufacturer and about kit contents
And a link to official Aliexpress store where you can buy this
Under the cap we're met by the Allen key and RDA itself, which will be packed in plastic bag
I already removed that plastic bag to check the color
At the very bottom of the packaging there's a bag with spares that lies in the foam
Inside of this bag we have BF pin, spare o-rings, extra post screws
And a piece of transparent plastic tube, because I can't call this tube a drip tip, sorry
And now a little bit of specs. This RDA is made of 304SS and available in 4 colors - Gun Metal, SS, Rainbow and Black
This device featuring a slot for 810 non-o-ring drip tips, separately adjustable top and bottom airflow
A deck for dual coils
Also, this RDA works in two modes - BF mode and standard
Diameter at the base is 25mm, height without drip tip is 26mm
But, as always, let's start from the top and in order, from the drip tip. It's black delrin 810 drip tip
It's held by the o-ring, which is installed inside of the slot
Drip tip has this stepped shape inside, it's rounded on the edges
It's pretty nice to use
Also, if you want to, you can use your favorite 810 drip tips
But again - depends of its diameter
Next part of this device is top cap, which is also for adjustment of top airflow
If we take a closer look, we'll see that these airflow holes is slightly beveled at an angle down
With that guys achieved kinda top airflow
So, air is taken through these holes, get into this hole and on the idea of manufacturer the air should slightly go down
But I don't think that it works exactly this way
Obviously, because of the top airflow there is no spherical machining of the top cap
So here we have a slight cone
Let's continue. Next part of this RDA is the barrel with holes for airflow adjustment
2 holes at the top and 1 wide holes at the bottom on both sides
We have a logo of this RDA on the barrel - BTFC
And last thing we'll pay attention to is the deck of this RDA
As you can see, there's 4 posts - 2 positives and 2 negatives
Each post has a hole for coil lead.
These are through-holes. As you can see these holes at the top is for coil leads
Coil lead will came out at the bottom of the post and you'll cut it here
Coil leads will be tightened by the hex screws
Also these posts has holes for bottom airflow
Air for bottom airflow is taken from the bottom of the deck
There is wide holes, which you can adjust by the barrel
Also there is big cutouts for cotton and for liquid inside of the juice well
This RDA can accommodate a decent amount of liquid because of high raised airflow
Also pay attention, that inside it has another hole. This hole is made especially for the purpose of this RDA would be able to work in squonk mode
Barrel is held by two o-rings and at the bottom we have a pin, name, information, serial number. This is nice protruding pin, by the way
Overall, friends, this is BTFC in fully disassembled state and I think it's time to put some build in it. Let's roll
So, friends, everything is ready to get back to face-time, but the only thing I forgot to show you is how airflow adjustment works in this RDA
Okay, let's begin with top airflow. When you turn this top cap - as you can see it begin to block top airflow
In this situation bottom airflow continues to work
In case if you need to adjust bottom airflow - be ready to the fact, that you'll have to say goodbye to the top airflow
Because otherwise, when you will turn the barrel it'll shift the direction of top airflow. In this situation I recommend to close it completely
I think it's no secret for you that airflow adjustment is happening on both sides simultaneously
Yeah, I overdripped it a bit
And I will fully open airflows to get back to face-time and test this RDA and tell you what I think about it

Let's go up top
So, folks, as you can see everything works
At the moment I have all airflow holes wide open
So both top and bottom airflow is working
And now for the test let's close top airflow. Close it down completely and leave only bottom one
So, friends, I'll say this - with bottom airflow the draw is too restricted for me
Honestly, it's pretty restricted. Especially in the morning
But, obviously, the flavor is added in multiple times
Because fully open top airflow decreases the flavor a lot
In other words it's getting additional air which obviously decreases flavor production of the device
Let's sum up the intermediate result regarding airflow
I like this RDA with wide open airflow because of the free DL draw
But I don't really like the flavor with wide open airflow
I like this RDA only with bottom airflow, because of the flavor I get from it
But with only bottom airflow I lack the air
We'll have to find some compromise, but anyway, let's talk about pros and cons
And first con to this RDA I'll give for the lack of the key on the deck, which would have been holding and stopped the barrel in place
And in the moment when you try to unscrew the RDA from the box mod the spinning of a barrel is happening
In other words, there's absolutely nothing to grab on
And I think that for this RDA the key on the deck is critically necessary
And for the lack of I'm giving a con
Other than that, I didn't found any super major cons in the work of this RDA for myself
So let's talk about nitpicks. I have only one nitpick and it's regarding 25mm diameter
Yes, this RDA is 25mm in diameter. This RDA is not suitable for some mechanical mod users
Because the vast majority of tube mods on the market is 24mm in diameter
Of course, there is mech mods with 25mm diameter, if you're the owner of such mod - this RDA will fit for you, since it has 25mm in diameter at the base
I'm done with cons and nitpicks, as well as I'm done with discussion of flavor and draw
Let's talk about pros
And first pro I'll give for the quality of manufacturing of this exact sample which I'm holding in my hands right now
There is a little background story of how I received this RDA and why my review is released this late
So, first time when I received this RDA - SS and Black - I noticed, that airflow holes is drilled unevenly
And besides, at the very bottom, where air is being taken, some holes wasn't even drilled to the end
It angered me a bit and put me in some kind of deadlock
Such a major problems at the stage of manufacturing of the product is simply unacceptable
I contacted the Mark VapnFagan right away, send him photos, described the situation
And told him: Mark, bro, something went wrong, it's very categorical, I won't be doing a review on this, because this is clearly defective samples
He answered that they know about this problem and solved it already
And since it was Trial-production samples for reviewers and for tests, there will not be such issues in retail version
So, I received new RDAs and they don't have such issues
All holes is drilled evenly and to the end and everything is fine
So first pro I'll give for the quality of manufacturing
Next pro to this RDA I'll give for convenient coil installation and convenient wicking
This is really fast and convenient coil installation
Insert the coil leads, tightened it by the screws, cut the excess wire, there's nothing that will short circuit. It's good and it's a pro
And last pro to this RDA I'll give for decent capacity. Though it has separate juice well, but it's very deep and it can fit a lot of liquid
Also I can give it a pro for the fact, that it can work with the squonk mods, then there will be no problems with the capacity for sure
Friends, I'm done with pros, but forgot to mention one thing which annoys me a lot in the kit contents of this RDA
And I will address directly to Mark
Mark, bro, I think that putting unprocessed piece of tube in the kit isn't the good thing
I can't call it drip tip
It's a piece of tube
It's not cool. I don't like such things. Well it's me personally, it's my opinion, no offence
Overall, it's pretty nice RDA. Convenient coil installation and wicking, various airflow, nicely made
Everything is great, but there is one interesting nuance associated with this RDA
Because of this nuance VapnFagan released one more video on his channel
So, little story
When reviews on this RDA started to coming out at the western channels, suddenly came up the fact, that this deck previously already was in another RDA
Absolutely the same deck in absolutely different RDA
The name of that RDA is very weird. I even try to say it
Who makes such names?
Overall, after this fact has came up, Fagan received a lot of hate. He had to release a video, where he explained what's happened
Turns out, previously Augvape have made similar deck for another RDA for another company
But, apparently, something went wrong and since Augvape stated that it's their development
They kept this deck for themselves and decided to resume it with the help of VapnFagan in the collaboration project
And, in my perspective, this is very weird decision and disrespect to reviewer
To a person who they offered to be a part of this project, a project which already have been released on the market previously
Yes, of course this is Mark's problem as well, because he didn't checked all the market. But it's almost impossible to check all the RDA market
When you release some device, it'll be somehow somewhere looks similar to the other device anyway
And there's no way you can say that you're unique
So yeah, friends, previously there was an RDA with this deck on the market, but with different look
Now there's BTFC by VapnFagan and Augvape. But with different look, but with absolutely the same deck
Both of these RDAs cost about the same - around 30$. So it's up to you
If you'll find first RDA and you'll like it in terms of design - don't bother, it has the same deck
And if you liked BTFC and the way it looks and its top airflow, then you are welcome. Pretty decent product
