Hey everyone.

It is Nisha.

Welcome back to my channel.

As you all know, Janmashtami is around the corner,

I thought of doing a video related to that. For people who don't know what Janmashtami is,

It is the birthday of Lord Krishna. There is lots of

celebration on this day.

It takes place during the mid-night as Sri Krishna is believed to be born on a dark,

stormy and windy night to end the rule and violence of his uncle Kansa.

Like, I and my family celebrate this festival by fasting.

We sing together, pray together, my mom prepares special food.

My mom, me and my di, we visit temples nearby and so much more.

It is a really exciting festival.

Let me know in the comment section below how do you celebrate this festival with your family

and friends.

I hope you enjoy this video if you do please give me a big thumbs up.

If you are new to my channel, please subscribe because it is FREE.

[Eng sub] Watercolor Portrait Painting Female Face Easy Tutorial 水彩で女性の顔を美しく描くコツ 初心者講座 - Duration: 11:21.

Hello everyone,

Today I will try to draw a female face.

First, use a pencil-simplified strong line to draw the outline of the face,

and the position of the eyes and nose.

By creating and understanding the basic shape of the face,

you will be able to concentrate on the expression of color and light and dark.

Let's start. Mix with Yellow Ochre and Jaune Brillant.

Plenty of this color, and paint the whole of the skin with a large brush stroke.

Next, add a little more Rose Madder.

And paint a cheek and nose that have a good complexion.

Like this.

Add a little bit of Compose Blue to that color.

Paint a little dark tone on the bright skin part.

Add Yellow Ochre to that color.

Paint the shadow part of the face.

If you paint this part with Green #1, the whiteness of the skin stands out.

Boldly paint the shadow part like this.

Clavicle from this neck.

Paint the part of the front of the chest and the side of the nose a little thinly.

Next, mix with Yellow Ochre and Burnt Umber.

Paint a shadow part boldly with this color.

We tend to paint bright colors when paint the color of the skin,

but it is important to have this boldly and dark shadow.

Draw the line under the lip, the line of the jaw, the around the eyes carefully.

In the same dark color, paint the neck part.

It is okay with the color that you think is dark.

When the color dries, it becomes bright.

So add little more dark colors.

Next is the lip.

This is the upper lip.

Mix with Rose Madder and Crimson Lake.

Add more Burnt Umber to the left and right parts of the lips.

Lower lip, draws lip wrinkles.

Next, draw the eyelids.

Because the upper eyelids is dark color, I paint it like this.

Then the part of white eyes.

Because the white of the eyes has the shadow, I paint it Blue.

It is brighter when it dries even if it is going to have painted dark color a lot.

So let's paint it more dark.

The form of the face will clearly appear in the contrast of strong and dark.

From the chin to the neck, paint the dark boldly.

Blur the contrast a little softer, then draw the pupil and iris.

Paint the dark Blue on the other side of the light.

And this is an important part.

Because it is a setting that light comes from the upper right, so I leave here white of the paper and paint a pupil.

The expression of a female face came out. Don't you think so?

Adjust the color of the whole face a little.

Paint the hair.

Use a Burnt Umber to paint it boldly.

Use a lot of dark colors.

This area spreads the brush and expresses the atmosphere of the hair.

The other parts of the hair are paint to flat with a Burnt Umber.

Create the shadow outline a little soft.

Then draw the eyebrows.

Draw a little carefully.

The expression of the face will come into view clearly.

Adjust the details a little.

And add more blood color.

It is a Red color.

Breathe a life into the picture with a brush.

Add the Blue color.

Draw a clothes with the same Blue.

Draw a clothes as a big pattern.

It is always a basic large flat brush stroke this time.

Paint the shadow a little bit darker.

Then paint the background with a Blue series similar to clothes color.

It's a large brush strokes and plenty of the colors.

While painting the background, paint over the hair like this.

By doing this, hair will blend into the background and the space would appear there.

Because the upper part of the hair is hit by the light, that leaves the painted Burnt Umber first.

How is it?

The impression of this picture has changed considerably compared with the beginning?

Draw a little fine eyelashes.

Adjust shadows and details with a brush.

And adjust the whole outline.

Then, put a healthy red color on the lips.

We're finished.

Today I drew a female face.

The point is to darken the shadow part and strengthen the three-dimensional effect.

A Song of Ice and Fire: Aegon's Conquest (Part 2 of 2) - Duration: 7:32.

While Aegon and Visenya focused their efforts North of the Aegonfort, Orys Baratheon marched

upon the Kingdom of the Storm, supported in the air by Rhaenys flying atop meraxes.

With Argilac Durrandon still furious over Aegon's rejection of his daughter, no peaceful

resolution was possible and so the Storm King called his banners, gathering together a substantial

force which in turn left his realm vulnerable to attacks from pirates and Dornish raiders.

Though the Stormlands won an early victory, killing a thousand targaryen men at Wendwater,

Rhaenys set the forest on fire as the enemy departed, burning many of their warriors including

one of three noble lords who led the mission.

Yet the true battle for the realm came during the Last Storm, when King Argilac, outnumbering

the enemy 2 to 1, charged valiantly into the Targaryen ranks, eventually breaking through

their center, only to find Meraxes waiting on the other end to rain dragonfire upon them.

Yet even after being thrown from a horse and seeing his men killed, Argilac refused to

submit, fighting and dying in a final duel against Orys Baratheon.

With her father dead, Argilac's daughter Argella retreated into Storm's End and declared

herself the Storm Queen, but she was soon betrayed by her own men, who delivered her

to the Targaryen camp.

As new Lord of the Stormlands, Orys decided to embrace the legacy of the Durrandons by

marrying Argella and adopting their sigil as well as their words to form House Baratheon.

Having started to encounter serious resistance among the realms of Westeros, Visenya was

pleased to accept the peaceful surrender of Crackclaw point, which immediately submitted

to House Targaryen.

In appreciation, Visenya promised that they would serve as direct vassals to the King,

in what came to be known as the Crownlands.

As the invasion continued, the Targaryen army prepared to face their greatest challenge

yet, with King Mern Gardener IX of the Reach and Loren Lannister of the Rock, allying together

to raise an army of 55,000 men.

Engaging at what came to be known as the field of fire, the Targaryen dragons devastated

the enemy, burning over 4000 men including the King of the Reach and his sons.

With another thousand killed in the fighting, the Westerosi army was swiftly defeated, and

so King Loren surrendered to House Targaryen.

Aegon then decided to leave House Lannister as the Lords of the Westerlands while House

Tyrell, formerly a house of stewards, was given the Lordship of the reach, to reward

them for peacefully surrendering Highgarden after the Field of Fire.

Though the Targaryen wanted to continue conquering the south, they were forced to make their

way north, when King Torrhen Stark of Winterfell marched 30 000 men into the Riverlands.

Despite being outnumbered by the Targaryen host, many Northmen wished to attack, including

the King's bastard half-brother Brandon Snow, who volunteered to sneak into the enemy

camp and assassinate the dragons.

However King Torrhen had heard the stories about what happened at Harrenhal and the Field

of Fire, and chose to save his people from slaughter by sending Brandon with a party

of Maesters to negotiate the terms of their surrender.

Although he lost his crown, Torrhen was named Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North,

remembered by many as the King who knelt.

One by one the realms of Westeros were falling to House Targaryen, but in the Kingdom of

Mountain and vale, the Regent Shara Arryn resolved to keep their independence, making

bold plans for the defense of her son's throne by marching an army to the Bloody Gate,

strengthening their defenses at Gulltown, and tripling the garrison that upon the giant's

lance, who guarded the path towards the Eyrie.

Shara also sent a peace proposal, offering to marry Aegon if he would name Ronnel his

heir, but the offer was refused, and so she continued to prepare for an invasion.

But no soldiers were sent, as Visenya could simply bypass all of their defenses by flying

atop Vhagar to land directly within the inner courtyard of the eyrie.

And so it was that Shara Arryn found her beloved son Ronnel sitting upon Visenya's lap, eagerly

wanting to fly the dragon.

Although the young king did not understand the implicit threat, the reality was made

clear to Shara, who saw how vulnerable they really were to Dragonlords.

And so after Visenya flew the boy around the mountain 3 times, the Vale formally submitted

to the Targaryens, with Ronnel Arryn named Lord of the Vale and warden of the East.

Looking towards the South, Rhaenys flew atop her dragon Meraxes to the realm of Dorne,

only to find their castles and towns abandoned or else populated with only women and children.

When she arrived at sunspear, it too was abandoned, save for Meria Martell, the elderly Princess

of Dorne who remained behind to warn Rhaenys that Dorne would never submit, saying,

"You may burn us, my lady, but you will not bend us, break us, or make us bow.

This is Dorne.

You are not wanted here.

Return at your peril."

Following this confrontation, Dorne was left in peace for a time, until the rest of the

Targaryen campaign was completed.

Though most of the reach supported their King Mern Gardener IX as he prepared to fight the

Targaryens, the powerful and influencial House Hightower of Old Town did not join them, as

the High Septon of the Faith of the Seven, advised them not to fight against the dragonlords.

When Aegon first landed on the mainland, the High Septon locked himself in the Starry sept

for 7 days and nights, until he had a vision where the Crone revealed that their city would

burn if they opposed the invaders.

And so after the defeat of the Gardener King and submission of highgarden, the Hightowers

rode out to meet the Targaryens, and surrendered Old Town without a fight.

As a result Aegon was formally crowned king of Westeros by the High Septon in 1 AC, and

the Hightowers kept their Lordship of the city.

With most of the mainland conquered, Aegon turned his attention to the Iron Islands which

had been in a state of civil war since the death of King Harren the Black.

Putting an end to the violence, Aegon forced them to choose a new leader, resulting in

the selection of Vickon Greyjoy as Lord of the Ironborn.

With six of the seven kingdoms of Westeros under Targaryen rule, the city of King's

Landing was established around the Aegonfort, where they built the Iron Throne, a monstrous

chair forged by blacksmiths from the melted swords of defeated enemies.

However, by the end of the war, Aegon's conquest was incomplete, as Dorne remained

independent.

And so in 4AC the Targaryens launched the First Dornish War, organizing a full scale

invasion of the territory, but it ultimately ended in failure and the death of Queen Rhaenys

and her dragon, forcing Aegon the Conqueror to recognize Dornish soverignty.

Modern Accessories for Retro Gaming vol 2 - Game Sack - Duration: 25:34.

(Game Sack theme music)

- [Joe] Hello, and welcome to Game Sack.

We're back with more modern accessories

for retro gaming.

- [Dave] That's exactly right, Joe.

Geez, I haven't said that for a long time, have I?

- [Joe] That's true, I wish you'd say it more,

because I like being right.

Anyway, we've got some cool stuff,

and first up is something really nice for the PC Engine.

This cool device is the Super SD System 3,

from Terra Onion.

And I'm just gonna call it the SD3

for the rest of this review.

It sells for 240 euros, which is about 280 US dollars.

This attaches to the back of any PC Engine-based console

like the CoreGrafx or the SuperGrafx.

And yes, it will attach to a TurboGrafx-16.

And that's all it does, the end.

Just kidding.

This is actually several things in one.

Firstly, it has a video port

so you can use a Sega Genesis model 2 video cable,

and yes, it supports RGB, as well.

It also has a Micro SD card slot.

And what can you put on this?

Well, lots and lots of PC Engine

and TurboGrafx games, of course.

So yeah, it's basically like an Everdrive.

You can run HuCard games from both regions

on any console, no problem.

And of course, it can run SuperGrafx games,

but only if you have it attached

to an actual SuperGrafx.

Oh, and it's also an optical disc emulator,

and that means you can run CD games

off of the SD card, as well.

In fact, your console will think that it has

a CD drive attached.

This right here is awesome,

and it's sorely needed, as the mechanical CD drives

begin to break down, and become harder

and harder to fix, thanks to the lack

of sourceable parts.

It can run regular CD, Super CD,

and yes, even Arcade CD games.

And they load super fast, too.

Check out how fast it goes from stage to stage

in Gate of Thunder here.

- [Game Announcer] Stage clear.

- [Joe] This even makes games like Cosmic Fantasy 2

actually playable.

The original disc felt like it loaded

every time you blinked, but playing it on

the SD3 here, it's as smooth as butter.

However, it can actually be too fast

for a couple of games,

like Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective.

On the original disc, the laser could only read data

so fast, and as a result, the video would pause

every second or two.

The developers knew this, and that's just how

the game was designed to work.

- I gather that he was reassigned

to cover the case from here

because he had some familiarity with the murder in Egypt.

- [Joe] But on the SD3 there's none of that,

so the video gets ahead of the audio,

and it gets out of sync before you know it.

- I gather that he was reassigned to

cover with an odd duck,

but thanks for your help Henry.

- [Joe] Other games that use FMV like

It Came from the Desert and the Japanese game

Gulliver Boy are fine though.

(speaking Japanese)

The menu is kind of weird the first few times

you navigate it, as you need to press the RUN button

to enter folders.

The select button toggles between HuCards and CD games,

so if you want to play a CD game,

be sure to switch it over first.

There are several different options you can choose from,

but be sure to enable the Arcade Card

and just leave it that way.

Well that is unless you run into a game

that doesn't happen to work well with the arcade card

for some reason.

You can also select a version of the system card,

which you'll have to provide your own images for.

For example, you're gonna wanna press

System Card 1.0 if you want to play the CD version

of Altered Beast.

It simply will not work correctly with any other version.

You can also dump your own HuCards which is handy.

Just check the box, turn the system off,

insert your HuCard, power it up and dump it.

You can use popular apps like IMGBurn

to rip your own CDs to the BIN in CUE format

and store them in a named folder on the card.

The SD3 also has virtually unlimited backup RAM,

so you'll never have to worry about running out of space

to save your game.

Finally is the CD block volume.

This lets you adjust how loud CD audio

and the ADPCM sound is.

This is because some games will have distorted audio

at 100 percent.

Whatever digital to analog converter they're using,

doesn't really have enough dynamic range

to handle really loud sounds.

If you lower this to 60 or so,

the distortion will be gone.

Here's a good example of 100 percent volume

versus 60 percent in Ys Book One and Two's

opening narration.

- [Game Narrator] Ys, the seemingly tranquil paradise

suddenly pulled from the height of its civilization,

to the empty abyss of infinite isolation.

Ys, the seemingly tranquil paradise

suddenly pulled from the height of its civilization,

to the empty abyss of infinite isolation.

- [Joe] However this also messes up the balance

between the CD audio and the console's PSG sound,

and the music might seem too quiet

compared to the sound effects.

(loud PSG shooting over quiet but really good music)

As I said before, the SD3 offers an RGB video output.

The video quality is mostly fantastic.

However, I've noticed some slight video noise

in dark solid blues and greens like here

in the opening of Lords of Thunder,

or the green in the background on the first stage

of Bonk's Adventure.

It's not horrible, but it's not

perfect either.

However, you'll never notice it on a CRT,

but you might with an upscaler.

Also when I put the SD3 on my TurboGrafx-16,

the noise is even worse.

Still it's hard to notice on a CRT,

and some games like Gradius II here,

it's hard to even notice on an HDTV

through an upscaler.

So your experience might be noisier

or even less noisy than mine

depending on what system you hook it up to.

I think it's likely that the SD3 isn't

getting enough power from the console.

A good solution might be to design the SD3

so that it provides power to the console

like a normal Interface Unit does.

Not the other way around like it currently works.

Still the SD3 is a fantastic piece of hardware,

and it goes a long way to keeping the TurboGrafx-16

and the PC Engine scene alive.

(sweet game music)

(holy water sounds)

(wolf howling... and dying)

- [Dave] Okay one down & that thing is actually really cool,

but man it's not cheap, but it is cool.

- Yup

- I think maybe the diehard collector

would find it interesting, and you know

it's useful for sure.

- [Joe] I agree, and we've got another thing that's useful

coming up right now, and you're gonna talk about that?

- [Dave] I am

- [Joe] Let's check it out.

(rock music from Super Off-Road on SNES)

- [Dave] Here's the Super Nt from Analogue,

which is a Super Nintendo clone.

You can get it at Analogue's website

and it costs 189 US dollars,

and you can choose from one of four designs.

We though this gray one looked really cool,

but most people seem to think the translucent one

is the best.

More power to 'em.

It comes with a console, HDMI cable, USB cable

and a power adapter.

You can use your own Super NES controllers

or you can buy a 40 dollar wireless controller

when you buy your system.

First off, I've gotta say that the SuperNt is amazing.

It outputs in 1080P, 720P or 480P.

It doesn't cut any corners,

and what you get for the price is truly amazing.

First of all, the console itself is small and sturdy.

It doesn't feel like a lightweight piece of junk.

It easily fits both Super Famicom shaped cartridges

and US Super Nintendo shaped cartridges.

The cartridge port is fantastic,

and not as prone to glitches as the one

on the Nt Mini which we covered a while back.

You also have an SD card slot for updating firmware

and uh, other things.

The only thing that it doesn't have is an analog output

for a CRT television.

This of course leads to the systems only incompatibility,

and that's with the Super Scope which of course,

needs a CRT.

Designer Kevtris has commented that he'd

like to make an HDMI to analog video adapter

which would enable Super Scope compatibility.

That'd have to be some really fast

digital to analog conversion to retain accuracy.

But honestly we'll probably never see that.

As far as game play and compatibility go,

we haven't noticed any issues that

haven't already been fixed.

The games run perfectly. There's no lag that we can detect,

and the experience is very smooth.

You can enable more sprites on screen,

but we haven't found any reason for that.

Too bad you can't reduce the slow-down on some games,

but that's okay, as it's just as authentic

as playing on a real Super Nintendo.

The video quality is of course fantastic,

once you dial the settings in,

but even out of the box it looks great

without adjusting anything.

The audio is always a concern for us here at Game Sack,

and it's replicated very well here.

(Castlevania music)

(whipping)

Being that the Super NES uses a sample based format,

it's not a difficult system when it comes to

reproducing the audio.

(ActRaiser music by Yuzo Koshiro)

Of course the console can run any

Super Nintendo cart out there

as long as it also runs on the original system,

and all of your favorite peripherals

besides the aforementioned Superscope work great.

Yes, that even includes the Super Game Boy.

Oh and flashcards like the SD2SNES as well.

This is the real deal.

Sadly, there's no save state option here.

Nor is there any way to transfer a save file

from a cartridge over to the SD card for safe keeping.

That'd actually be a pretty neat feature,

especially if it could be transferred

back to the cartridge after a battery was replaced

for example.

Oh well, the original consoles don't exactly

offer these features either.

As far as the system menu goes,

getting around is pretty simple,

but we had to change the font

to make it easier to read.

Of course it's all up to you what you prefer.

It also supports cheat code entry

direct from the menu.

There are plenty of options for your screen size,

but if you want it to be a perfect four times scale

for your 1080P screen, first make sure

advanced mode is checked.

Then go under Video, then Width and Height.

Set the width to 1170 and height to 960.

Then go back out and into Scalers

and make sure the Disable V Iterpolation is checked,

but not the H Interpolation.

This will give you a great four by three image

in a 1080P window with no shimmering artifacts

when games scroll.

There's also hotkeys that'll call up the menu

during a game when pressed.

This defaults to down plus select.

Here you can adjust the image

and see the effects in real time.

You can make it fill your entire screen

if that tingles you in your sensitive spots.

Or, shrink it down as far as the menu will let you.

The Scanline feature from the Nt Mini is back,

but it's been improved.

As far as audio options go, there's a

negative three decibel cut you can enable

if certain games are too loud and distort.

Also be sure to enable cartridge audio

and just leave it enabled all the time.

Otherwise, you won't hear any sound from your Super Game Boy

and some games on the SD2SNES.

(Castlevania II music)

You could also play with the LED colors

if you're entertained by such trivial things.

We prefer a solid red like the original system,

but you can make it pulsate if you need it to be

a bit more distracting.

And don't forget to save once you've made

all your adjustments.

The worst thing about the Super Nt,

is that if you update your firmware,

all of your settings will have to be entered again.

This is a pain, and I wish they could

save the settings to the SD card

to be restored during the update

so we don't have to keep going back

through every thing each time we update the firmware.

Still if this of all things is the most

horrible issue that effects it,

then you've gotta figure that the console is pretty good.

There is jail-broken firmware out there

that will let you run Super Nintendo ROMs

from the SD card, but only games

that don't use special chips of any kind.

And no, the system doesn't have cores written

for other console like the Nt Mini does.

Still this is simply the best Super Nintendo system

you can buy and it's way cheaper

than getting a real console, modding it

for clean RGB, and then getting a Framemeister or whatnot.

We've been using it a lot for the show

as well as for episodes of Playing with Sacks

that we've been making,

and it hasn't let us down yet.

If you've been on the fence about this,

rest assured you'll be satisfied.

This is absolutely the best way

to get into the Super Nintendo for the first time

all over again.

(more Castlevania music)

- [Joe] Awesome. I love the Super Nt as well,

like you said we've been using it for a while

and it's performed fantastically if that's an actual word.

- [Dave] Sure, it might as well be 'cause fantastically

is a good word to use for that thing,

it's just solid, it's well built, it's just really cool.

- [Joe] It really is.

- [Dave] Do they have something like this for the Genesis? Maybe?

- [Joe] I don't know, kinda? Let's take a look.

(electronic drums from the exciting game Whip Rush)

- [Joe] This is the Sega Genesis Flashback

from AtGames which currently sells for about 70 dollars

or more new, and far less used.

It comes with a scaled-down version of

the model one Genesis, two wireless controllers,

an HDMI cable and a power supply.

It's also the first one of AtGames' Genesis consoles

to have a built-in HDMI output which will give you

720P directly to your HDTV.

So how is it?

Well, how do you think?

First, let's mention the included controllers.

They run on a pair of AAA batteries.

Batteries not included by the way.

As controllers go, they feel okay,

and there's a menu button and a rewind button

to help you if you screw up in your game.

But the worst thing has got to be

the bright blue light that shines in your eyeballs

every time you press the D-pad or any button.

Fortunately, you can use your own Genesis controllers

if you like, but you give up the in-game menu options.

Powering it up, you're greeted by a menu

with a bunch of built-in games for the Genesis, Master System

and even the Game Gear.

It has 85 total games built in,

but many of these are brand new bonus games

that absolutely nobody wants.

We'll get to these in a minute.

I really like how they couldn't source

the proper box art for Sonic the Hedgehog

and had to use the NOT FOR RESALE box.

Classy.

The menu is kind of clumsy but you'll get used to it.

The system also has a cartridge slot so you can play games

that aren't built in.

When you power it up, it downloads the ROM

into system memory so yes it's emulation,

and crappy emulation.

Anyway after that, you just press the A button

on the icon and you're playing your game.

You can even fit Japanese MegaDrive games into the slot

and they'll work.

Even games that are region protected like

Thunder Force IV.

Even SunSoft Mega Drive games will fit.

Yeah, that's right it's absolutely playable

in the very loosest sense of the term.

But how about Virtual Racing,

which uses the SVP chip? Does it work?

Nope.

How 'bout the Game Genie?

The menu sees it and launches it,

and lets you put in the codes,

but when you try to start the game

it just resets the Game Genie.

So no, it doesn't work.

The EverDrive? Of course not.

You just get a black screen.

Master System games using a power base converter?

Nope.

32x games won't directly fit,

but how 'bout with an actual 32X?

Well, it loads the game ROM, let's see what happens

when I launch it.

Oh, just a black screen.

Of course.

In order to start one of the built in games

just highlight it and press the A button.

And oh my god, prepare for your

eyeballs to be destroyed!

First of all, the games run at 40 frames per second,

at best. Yes, I counted.

And they're not even consistent.

That means frames are dropping seemingly at random

all the time.

The screen is also scaled poorly.

Just look at the unevenness of the dithering here.

That should be displayed as a perfect checkerboard.

It also means that the scrolling has

nasty shimmering artifacts in every direction.

It's punishing to look at,

and even worse to play.

Look at me trying to play Shadow Dancer,

a game I normally excel at,

but I'm dying a ton here.

Here's how I normally do it on a real Genesis at this part.

(Shadow Dancer music)

I thought it might be the wireless controllers

causing lag, so I used a Genesis controller

and nope, same thing.

It's the frame rate and also the system itself

is just so damn laggy.

There's also a scan line feature,

but of course, it sucks.

I mean why wouldn't it?

It's not even consistent scan lines,

I mean look at that, how did they screw that up?

Oh and of course, the sound is messed up

and some things just don't sound correct at all.

(laggy jumping noises)

The music often can't even play at a consistent speed.

Oh yeah, and the sound effects aren't even in sync

with the game. Listen.

(shooting)

So, just for fun, here's how Thunder Force IV

sounds on my real Sega Genesis.

(amazing music which sounds better than perfect)

And here's how it sounds on the AtGames Flashback.

(staticky LOL-worthy music)

There are save states and stuff like that

that you can use if you're so inclined.

Master system games play in a smaller window,

and they've never looked or sounded so bad.

They don't seem to run at the proper speed either,

and the sound is very scratchy and dull.

(music sounding like it's played through a cheese grater)

The Game Gear games play in a border

that resembles an actual Game Gear somewhat,

but again, they're choppy and the sound is rough.

Back to the built in games.

These are a treat for any masochist.

And of course, we've gotta try Mr. Balls.

I don't know what's going on here,

and honestly I don't really care.

Or, how 'bout Bomber?

This is the worst Bomber Man clone

that you're ever gonna play.

Actually, just do yourself a favor,

and don't play it.

How about Fight or Lose?

Okay, I guess I'll fight.

Oops, I lost.

Jeez, that was the crappiest fighting game

I ever played.

This thing is super awful

and it's embarrassing that Sega keeps licensing

their name and their games to AtGames.

I even feel sorry for the poor HDMI cable

for having to pass this garbage through it.

Not only that, but AtGames is making

Sega's official Mega Drive Mini.

I tell ya, someone at AtGames must be

giving someone at Sega really good blowies

for this to keep continuing like this.

Sega, quit being dumb.

Fire AtGames and step up your own damn game.

(Thunder Force 3 music, but kinda broken)

- [Dave] Well, yeah Joe, I can see all those points

this thing is yeah, it just feels flimsy

and I mean

- [Joe] That'd blow away in the wind

- [Dave] Totally dude, you gotta hold onto this if

you're walking outside.

And there's no volume slider, I mean what the...

- [Joe] You do not want a volume slider on that thing.

The sound is just awful.

- [Dave] Yeah, yeah for sure.

- [Joe] Anyway, we've got one more device

and it's a little bit of an oddity.

I mean it's not something you'd expect to see,

but let's just get into it.

(Gamecube opening jingle)

- [Dave] Here's the Action Replay for the Gamecube.

And yes, the Gamecube qualifies as retro now,

so damn we're old.

You may be wondering why we'd cover something like this.

Yeah, it lets you select cheats for games and stuff.

But I wanna talk about the version of

the Action Replay that comes with

the SD Media Launcher memory card adapter.

These are harder to come by, but it's what you want.

This little device just plugs into slot 2

and lets you run HomeBrew off of an SD card.

If the Action Replay sees this as it boots,

it automatically loads up a file browser

showing the contents of the card.

There's a lot of things that you can do with this,

but there's two specific apps I'd like to talk about today.

The first one is called Swiss.

This will let you boot games from several different sources,

but we'll be looking at running retail games

from the disc drive.

Once Swiss is running, you can open up the lid

and swap out the disc, and then tell it

to reset the DVD drive.

Your game is recognized and

you can make some interesting changes

before you start it.

You can force the video mode,

which is the main selling point for us here

at Game Sack.

Even games that don't support 480P can be

forced to run that way.

It's native 480P and not deinterlaced garbage.

It doesn't affect the frame rate or performance

of the game either.

Oh and this works with the entire Gamecube library.

No longer will you have to play a game

in cruddy interlaced mode.

Of course you'll need the Gamecube component cables

or the e*o*n HDMI adapter to take advantage of this feature.

You can also force 4:3 only games

into 16:9 widescreen mode.

You can apply this to only the 3D polygons,

or both the polygons as well as the 2D assets.

Either way, you'll get mixed results.

You might see more pop up especially near the sides

of the screen as these games just weren't developed

to be drawn wider than they are.

Also not everything gets adjusted animorphically

and sometimes things just don't quite fit on screen.

Still it's fun to mess around with,

and it works better on some games than others.

Tales of Symphonia, it does indeed

give you a wider view most of the time,

but the text becomes stretched.

Personally, I'd rather play the games

in the aspect ratio that they're designed for,

but like I said, it's fun to mess around with.

(engine roaring)

The second app I'd like to mention is the GBI,

or the Game Boy interface.

If you have a Game Boy player attached to your Gamecube,

this will make things a ton better.

Nintendo is not and has never been a fan

of sharp pixels, and as a result

the Game Boy Player offers up

some pretty blurry visuals at best.

As seen here with component cables at 480P.

But load the GBI straight from the SD card,

and you won't need the disc at all.

Plus it forces the Game Boy Player to output

a very clean and unfiltered 240P with no scaling applied.

It looks fantastic, well unless you hate sharp pixels,

then you probably won't like it much,

but this also gets rid of all the frills

of the Gamecube disc, like border frames

and other stuff that you really don't need.

It comes in a variety of flavors

with varying levels of latency,

but this one seemed to work perfectly for us.

If you want it slightly blurrier,

then yes, you can use the Swiss app to force

Nintendo's Game Boy Player disc to

boot into 240P.

This will help tremendously but it won't be as sharp

as the Game Boy Interface,

and it will have a touch more lag.

If you're on a CRT, doing it either way

offers a much better experience than

you can get with the disc alone.

I'm glad to see there's a lot of

interest in the Gamecube.

(shooting)

(explosions caused by the previously-mentioned shooting)

- [Joe] Yeah it kind of feels weird to cover something

like an Action Replay on Game Sack.

- [Dave] Yeah, it really does 'cause it's

like a memory card.

But you know, it does its job, it works well,

it's easy to use, but the only downfall

is using the Gamecube controller on

GameBoy Advance games,

but that's something completely different.

- [Joe] Plus you have to use the Gamecube component cables,

or an e*o*n HDMI adapter if you want to get

the 480P visuals.

But, it is what it is.

Some people hate that phrase,

I might be one of 'em and I just said it.

But what devices would you like to see us cover

in the future? Let us know, in the meantime,

Thank you for watching Game Sack!

(Game Sack ending theme music)

- [Joe] It's common knowledge that the AtGames

Sega Genesis Flashback is an absolutely horrible device.

But hold on, we found some uses for it.

Such as a doorstop.

Or a tire chock.

You don't want your car rolling away do ya?

Or a hammer tester.

(banging)

- [Dave] It works!

- [Joe] Is something just out of your reach?

- [Dave] There it is.

Come on, I want it.

So close, come on.

- [Joe] Use it as a stepstool.

- [Dave] Sega mouse, ew I didn't want this.

- [Joe] Are you busy soldering but you have no place

to rest your soldering iron?

The AtGames Sega Genesis Flashback can help you.

(sizzling)

And, as a beverage holder.

I mean, who wants to drink out of a pesky bottle?

So see? It is useful!

Episode One | A Touch of Magic - Part One - Duration: 19:34.

NARRATOR: Mythos.

Episode One.

A Touch of Magic - Part One.

NARRATOR (CONT'D): There are no records for how we first took to the stars, only that

it was a time of great magic.

However, the dark court of the Fae squeezed the galaxy in the grip of cruelty and subjugation.

Rebellion erupted and a galactic civil war seemed inevitable.

Then one day the Fae vanished, and with them went most of the galaxy's magic.

For a thousand years, among the rise and fall of new empires, people sought to regain with

technology, the star-spanning freedoms they once held.

Now, a dwindling number of mages, wild witches, and dark sorcerers are all that cling to the

little magic left.

Mage Abigail d'wa has been called to an archeological dig on a distant world.

It should have been a routine inspection, but when an ancient relic is stolen, Abigail

finds herself crossing the galaxy to retrieve it.

ABIGAIL: Mesophis.

Grave world on the rim of Galactic Union space.

Never officially settled by a colony.

Mostly a desert world without much indigenous life.

The environment means a surprising amount of relics have been preserved.

This is an update to the personal recorder of Mage Abigail d'wa of the Order of Ouran.

A Doctor Seth contacted the Order for advice on something they suspect might have

mystical origins.

It was uncovered during a dig in the Samsat desert on Mesophis.

Because of my training in archeology, the Order believes I should be the one to inspect

the item.

I have to admit I'm excited.

I've never been so far from home...

And to have the chance to be a part of a dig uncovering things from thousands of years

ago is incredible.

Even if it turns out to be nothing.

Although, I'm feeling a bit unprepared.

This Doctor Seth hasn't provided me with any holographs or anything beyond basic data,

which I find a bit odd.

I've been waiting here over an hour and I haven't seen anyone other than Security Bots

at the entrance to the catacombs.

They won't let me in and won't let me leave, but I'm pretty sure that the red light means

they've contacted someone.

DOCTOR SETH: What good is security if they aren't actually keeping anything secure?

The site would have been safer under my daughter's pet lizard!

ABIGAIL: Doctor Seth?

DOCTOR SETH: Who are you?

ABIGAIL: I'm Abigail d'wa.

You asked for a Mage to inspect the site?

DOCTOR SETH: Oh.

Yes...

Yes, Mage d'wa.

ABIGAIL: You can call me Abigail.

What's going on?

Why is the site on lockdown?

DOCTOR SETH: Mage d'wa, the item we called about has been…

Stolen.

ABIGAIL: Stolen?!

DOCTOR SETH: Early this morning at about sunrise.

ABIGAIL: What about the Security Bot footage?

DOCTOR SETH: That was the first place I went only it turns out I paid for garbage

who can't do their jobs! They didn't record anything.

ABIGAIL: You didn't have any additional surveillance set up?

DOCTOR SETH: Of course, we did!

But when the thieves showed up, the cameras didn't capture anything.

Expensive decoration.

One minute the box was there and the next…

It was gone.

ABIGAIL: Is anything else missing?

DOCTOR SETH: As far as we can tell nothing else has been touched.

ABIGAIL: Hm.

Do you mind if I take a look?

DOCTOR SETH: Please.

You can't make things any worse.

ABIGAIL: Thanks.

ABIGAIL: These catacombs are an amazing find.

DOCTOR SETH: We almost didn't believe the preliminary data.

Even unfinished this is the most remarkable find to date on this planet.

ABIGAIL: Were they digging for water?

DOCTOR SETH: I'm sure that was part of the reason.

But all the water in the world won't help you when there isn't any food.

It's likely everyone starved before the purpose behind the place could be completed.

By the construction size and design work the hypothesis is the majority of it was built

by humans or elves.

Up until now this dig has been fairly uneventful.

Mesophis don't have its own world government, just small spaceports, and what amounts to

a commune of folks who feel they'll be the ones to make it on the planet without technology.

ABIGAIL: Didn't seem to go so well with the people who were building these catacombs.

DOCTOR SETH: No, they drew an unlucky straw when they were trapped here.

I doubt they lasted more than a couple generations.

ABIGAIL: The Age of Ruin really was true for them.

Trapped on a desert world and unable to contact anyone for help...

It makes what they managed to accomplish that much more impressive.

DOCTOR SETH: Yes.

And here we are.

This is the room where we discovered the box.

ABIGAIL: It's cozy.

DOCTOR SETH: We had wondered if the size meant this was supposed to be more of a storage

room than any sort of ceremonial chamber.

ABIGAIL: Hm.

Now for the fun part of my job.

Figuring out whether it's a shelf or an altar.

DOCTOR SETH: I wouldn't let anyone near it when scanners wouldn't tell us anything

useful.

It gave off this very odd radiation signature, but nothing dangerous to most people. Still, I couldn't

find any information on anything similar.

ABIGAIL: Do you have any idea about what might be inside?

DOCTOR SETH: We don't have the grants to cover items from off-world in this dig.

So after the scans we didn't make any attempt to open it.

ABIGAIL: It makes me nervous.

DOCTOR SETH: What does?

ABIGAIL: This altar.

Ornate alters are usually built by non-magical users because they look pretty.

Something so plain was probably made to be practical, and that usually means someone

knew what they were doing.

DOCTOR SETH: I hadn't considered that.

ABIGAIL: Well, that's why I'm here.

The item stolen was on the altar or nearby?

DOCTOR SETH: On the altar.

ABIGAIL: Do you have an image of it?

DOCTOR SETH: Here.

ABIGAIL: Hm.

Small.

Not particularly elaborate.

That lock doesn't look very friendly.

I wonder if whoever stole it knew what was inside.

Let's find out what happened here.

DOCTOR SETH: Excuse me what are you doing?

ABIGAIL: I'm going to cast a spell to see what happened.

DOCTOR SETH: Mage d'wa, you can't disturb our site.

You could disrupt valuable data-

ABIGAIL: Doctor, I am a professional.

We're in the same field just with different specialties.

You asked the Order of Ouran to send someone who knew about magical artifacts

because, and I quote, you "didn't know a bauble from a bomb."

DOCTOR SETH: My apologies.

ABIGAIL: Now stand back.

DOCTOR SETH: Um…

What are you doing?

ABIGAIL: Safety precaution.

Think of it like opening a window a crack to take a peek at something.

I don't want something unwelcome to notice and try to crawl out after me, so I'm creating

a circle to keep the magic contained to this spot.

DOCTOR SETH: Oh.

Is something like that likely to happen?

ABIGAIL: Probably not, but better safe than sorry.

Magic is more art than science.

ABIGAIL: Dust of ages reveal to me;

form and movement of this thievery;

I ask to find what has been taken;

A taste of magic yet to awaken.

DOCTOR SETH: That's incredible.

ABIGAIL: Just like you said.

One moment the box is there and next - Wait.

There's a shape of a person there.

Shiny.

Almost reflective.

Could there have been someone here but wearing something so no one could see them?

DOCTOR SETH: Those slippery bastards that explain why surveillance didn't pick them up.

How did they get hold of something like that?

It sounds like Dragon tech.

ABIGAIL: This was not a spur-of-the-moment theft.

DOCTOR SETH: Damn.

Abigail: Let it break.

ABIGAIL: I'm going to have to call my superiors.

Whatever is in that box could be dangerous.

DOCTOR SETH: Of course Mage d'wa, you can use our comm back at camp.

ABIGAIL: What do you mean you don't want me to investigate further?

MAGE ELDER: There is nothing in our records to indicate that Mesophis was a hub for magical

activity at any point in its history.

ABIGAIL: Then why did you send me here?

MAGE ELDER: A request for assistance was made of the Order.

We don't ignore requests.

ABIGAIL: This thing wasn't left here for someone to find.

It was buried.

I looked up the full map of the catacombs uncovered so far, and there are passages that

lead to nowhere.

These were a people who must have known they wouldn't survive and yet they took the time

and resources to build a maze.

Whomever this box belonged to didn't want it found.

MAGE ELDER: It sounds like you are letting your flights of fancy get away from you.

ABIGAIL: That's ridiculous.

MAGE ELDER: Your report here states that you didn't find any significant

proof that the site was used for magical purposes.

No runes.

Nothing other than something that might pass for an altar.

This sounds like someone on the ground asked for magical advice either out of sheer nerves

or to bring some glamour down on their dig.

ABIGAIL: How did someone even know the box was there to steal it?

MAGE ELDER: Digs are scarcely secret.

Someone was probably keeping watch, saw an opportunity, and decided they could turn a

quick profit.

ABIGAIL: I don't think that's-

MAGE ELDER: Mage d'wa, we'll excuse this as youthful exuberance

But mind your place.

ABIGAIL: My apologies.

MAGE ELDER: Return home.

I'm sure your skills in the library are missed.

ABIGAIL: Right.

MAGE ELDER: Leto out.

DOCTOR SETH: You don't look pleased.

ABIGAIL: They don't want me to pursue this any further.

They're content to let the box stay lost.

DOCTOR SETH: Those that hold the purse strings usually favour the cheaper option.

ABIGAIL: Do you have a speeder I can use?

DOCTOR SETH: We've got three in storage.

Why?

ABIGAIL: My ride home isn't until tomorrow.

I thought I'd head into town and see what I can dig up in the meantime.

DOCTOR SETH: I see.

I can't officially approve of you taking off like this Mage d'wa, but unofficially...

Be careful.

ABIGAIL: Thank you, Doctor.

ABIGAIL: This is an addendum to the personal recorder of Abigail d'wa.

It's 1428 hours local time, and I'm in the town about 5 kilometres south of the dig site.

Officially, I have been ordered home but they didn't tell me what to do in the meantime

so…

There has got to be something more to this box.

How did someone know it was there?

If it was taken for a reason they must have known what was inside.

I'm going to see if maybe anyone unfamiliar strolled into the town recently.

If I can find any sort of reason for it being stolen beyond someone assuming it holds something

expensive, maybe I can convince my superiors to let me follow this through.

When looking for a place to stick your nose a local gathering spot is usually

a good place to start.

A bar certainly qualifies.

BARTENDER: What'll you have?

ABIGAIL: Uh, no thanks.

I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions?

BARTENDER: If you're not buying anything I'm not interested.

ABIGAIL: Right.

Here.

ABIGAIL: Have you seen anyone new in town recently?

Like within the past couple of days?

BARTENDER: You mean other than you?

ABIGAIL: Come on.

BARTENDER: Had a guy I didn't recognize two nights ago.

Little wiry human.

Drank like a lapsed elf and brawled like a shapeshifter in heat.

You've got a bit of some pointy ears in you yourself, I see.

ABIGAIL: Mm, yes.

Did you happen to get his name?

BARTENDER: I only bother with names if they open a tab.

ABIGAIL: I'll get out of your way then.

BARTENDER: You're from the dig site, right?

ABIGAIL: Yes, I am.

BARTENDER: They're always digging up all over the desert.

Never find anything.

The only thing this dust ball is good for is a pit stop.

ABIGAIL: Well, you're bound to get lucky at some point.

BARTENDER: Sure, and maybe our little shanty town will suddenly become a galactic tourist

stop.

ABIGAIL: Thank you again for your help.

Um, this human didn't happen to leave anything behind, did he?

BARTENDER: He have something of yours?

ABIGAIL: Actually, I was wondering if he left something like...

Hair maybe?

BARTENDER: You some kind of weirdo?

ABIGAIL: No.

BARTENDER: He bled on my floor over there.

Broke a couple chairs before this big lady put a stop to it and the local sheriff picked

him up.

He's probably out by now unless he's still sleeping it off.

ABIGAIL: Thanks.

BARTENDER: Hey...

Any money to be made at the dig?

ABIGAIL: It's not really about money.

BARTENDER: What a waste.

ABIGAIL: Right, um, Excuse me.

I guess someone scraping blood off the floor isn't the grossest thing that has happened

in here.

I hope this is the right guy's blood.

Now, I just need a quiet spot to work.

Probably as much privacy as I'm going to get.

Let's see...

I know I've got a guidance stone in here somewhere...

Ah!

My path is murky;

Dark and deep;

Shorten the miles;

Before I sleep.

North it is.

Guess I'm headed to the Spaceport.

SPACEPORT CONTROL: Please pay all fees before requesting departure.

Anyone attempting liftoff without clearance from spaceport control will be subject to

fines and the possible impounding or even destruction of your ship.

Have a nice day.

ABIGAIL: Dock 7.

I guess this is the place.

The ship has its docking legs which mean I could climb inside and have a look- Oh!

GRACIE: Next time you get your fool self in a drunken brawl, we're going to leave you.

BATS: Nah, Shaggy wouldn't let ya, and I think you'd miss me.

GRACIE: Like a scab.

BATS: A scab you can't help but pick at.

GRACIE: Let's just find the Captain and get off this mud ball.

ABIGAIL: Now's my chance.

Storage…

Ah ha!

There you are!

No…

No!

Okay, don't panic.

There has to be another way out of here.

A grate.

I hope it leads somewhere helpful.

I hope that doesn't mean what I think it does...

BATS: Well well, I don't think we've ever had a stowaway before.

GRACIE: No one has ever been so stupid.

Is FAYE Really the WORST?: Fire Emblem Analysis - Duration: 9:27.

Faye

Now I'm gonna be completely honest

She is my least favorite character of Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia.

In a cast as diverse and dynamic as Echoes',

Is she sticks out more than a sore thumb,

with her basic anime trope personality reeking of the one-note character writing of Fates

In fact, the first time I played through the game

She may or may not have died, and I may have decided not to use the turn wheel on her

But recently, I've been replaying the game and when I was debating whether or not to simply leave her behind in Ram village

I thought I was being a little too harsh on her

So I decided to delve into her supports and other lines to see how she holds up. I'm Vthepizzaboy, and today

I'm gonna see if Faye

really is the worst character of Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia

First I want to start off with her Base Conversations

Conversation 1 starts with Fay asking Alm if he's used to all the fighting and complements him for being brave

She then starts to reminisce to the prologue,

and says Alm was her "Knight in Shining Armor"

Overall this conversation is cute and inoffensive

however

This takes a turn for the worst in

conversation 2, which starts with the Faye prying into Alm and Celica's fight at the end of Act II

She tries to cheer him up by saying Alm shouldn't rely on

Celica, since they've been apart for so long and that she doesn't know what's going through Alm's head

She then follows this up by saying:

This just comes off as off-putting

while Alm is vulnerable from his encounter with Celica,

Faye tries to sneak in and win Alm's affection

rather than in the last

conversation, where is a little obvious that Faye liked Alm, and she was just dropping hints,

here Faye

Forces it. She doesn't actually seem invested in Alm's

Happiness and just wants Alm for herself.

PAY ATTENTION, WE'LL SEE THIS ALOT

At the beginning of Conversation 3

Faye reflects on her progress, as she never expected herself to get that far

*and she didn't I first played

She then shows a worry for her family back in Ram village, and then reveals to Alm that

She actually sent letters to them. In a letter she received from them, they expressed

Their worry for her obsession with Alm, and want to hear how she's doing

But she finished off by saying:

As we will see later on, her obsession with Alm not only affects her but it also affects the

Relationships she has with her friends and family

Now let's move on to her supports

and I'll start with her support with Silque. Their C Conversation basically goes like this:

This is by far the worst support in the entire game

As I stated before,

Faye has no trouble pushing other people to get closer to Alm

Silque most likely doesn't feel 100% at ease being around an army composed

Entirely of men.

So she tries to seek comfort in the only other woman in the group: Faye

But, she has turned down simply for the fact that Silque isn't helping Faye's ultimate goal of being with Alm.

The only other

Possible reason I assume Faye turned her away is because of her slightly awkward

Wording, when she says she wants to speak of things that:

Which Faye then perceives as gossip

But that doesn't excuse her rude behavior

Blowing Silque off completely for simply wanting to talk to her, which again shows the selfish side of her

Faye and Silque's B Support starts with Silque approaching Faye with a compromise: Since she doesn't want to talk about anything

You know normal, Silque and Faye can talk about Alm

However, Faye disagrees with the idea since to her, simply talking about Alm while not in his presence is pointless

this is most likely because again,

She just wants to get closer to Alm, and talking to Silque is not helping her reach her goal

She then abruptly leaves again, leaving Silque confused. This brings up a question

How does she have any friends at all?

We know she grew up fairly close to the rest of the villagers: Tobin, Gray, and Kliff.

So how does she tolerate any sort of conversation with them? Would they always talk about Alm with her?

Was she just trying to use them to get closer to Alm? Or...

Was she different before the war?

Faye and Silque's A Support is definitely an improvement from her last two. This support actually starts with Faye

approaching Silque. Silque is

Understandably surprised by the change and Faye admits see missed having her company. The two then promise to talk more later

I've been very harsh towards Faye this entire video, but I really liked this ending. It promises for change in the future

Maybe she will move on from her obsession with Alm. Well, it's

TOO BAD SHE DOSEN'T

Her ending states that she never moved on from Alm,

And while she did get married her, husband was fully aware that she was still obsessed with him

So then, what was the point of this ending if she never moves on in the first place?

Now let's move on to her Supports with Alm

Their C Support starts at Faye approaching Alm and complementing him.

She then says:

Let's add some context to this line. They are out there, on a battlefield

fighting people, with lives, with families and Faye decides to kill as many people as possible to appease him. Alm is

rightfully confused by this statement and hopes for a better reason which then Faye responds with:

Faye doesn't let anything get in the way of her and Alm. It's one thing to want to protect your friends like most

Fire Emblem protagonists

but to mercilessly slaughtered dozens of people for the affection of just one person is simply

Unjustified. Now for their B Support, which is one of her most confusing ones this starts off with Faye approaching Alm again

who then asked how she is and

just

Prepare yourself

This shows her obsession with the Alm actually

Negatively impacts her, to the point where she loses sleep over the fact that he touched her hand

Alm then says something that really changed the way I looked at Faye:

but after the war her obsessive and caring personality was brought to an extreme and

Due to this she was never the same again

In

She is. However, she isn't as bad as I remembered

She isn't just a one-note character like the characters of fates

She has more to her, with how she's damaged after the war ends

I want to end off this video with this:

if you really like Faye like some of the people I've seen do

Then for her sake and yours just,

leave her in Ram Village.
