Dividend Stocks: Best Dividend Stocks Ex Div Oct 1-5, 2018 - Duration: 25:22.
hello everyone and thanks for tuning into the financial investor channel my
name is Brent are you looking to add some new dividend stocks to your
portfolio well you've came to the right place
we're covering the five best dividend stocks going ex-dividend October 1st
through the 5th 2018 so I released this article over on Monday I went over using
dividend calm and grabbed a bunch of stocks these are the 5 best stocks going
ex-dividend next week so I have 5 stocks for you guys
ticker symbol ABM this is ABM industries they're a business services you know in
the services sector we have ticker symbol syy this is Cisco Corp there are
food wholesaler also within the services sector we have ticker symbol GM TX this
is Gentex Corp they do auto parts that are consumer goods we have JPM which is
of course JPMorgan Chase they are a money central bank over in the financial
sector and then we have DG X which is quest diagnostics and there are medical
laboratories and research over within the healthcare sector so those are the
five stocks going ex-dividend next week now I pulled all these socks off
dividend comm i screen these myself what I like to screen my socks for is having
dividend yields over 1.5 that means I'm starting off at a good yield if I'm
putting a hundred bucks into a stock I'm gonna get a dollar 50 and dividends plus
I'll get capital appreciation more than likely out of you know the majority of
these stocks have good financials going for them it's up to you guys to kind of
you know screen a little bit further and decide whether they are right for your
portfolio all of these stocks have had rising
revenue net income free cash flow positive over the last 10 years also
their forward p/e ratio the price earnings ratio is expected to decrease
meaning that their earnings are expected to increase next year and they're
expected to become more profitable you know grow their earnings and also all of
these socks have grown their dividend for the five plus years two of them have
actually paid out dividends and grown their dividends for more than 20-some
years so we're going to recover in those in today's video and if you are brand
new to the channel hit the subscribe button if you do like this video hit the
thumbs up button I highly appreciate it if you have any comments suggestions let
me know in the comment section below and of course we're gonna recovering
dividend dates price comparison to the yield PE comparison to the industry and
the sp500 the payout ratio of each specific stock given the history and a
few other items so if you're brand new getting started in your investment
journey check out m1 finance or Robin Hood I have videos and playlists on both
of those and use them both myself so if you haven't checked them out check them
out so these stocks are ordered by ex dividends between October 1st and
October 5th 2018 so having number one just means that they're coming up
ex-dividend first so ticker symbol ABM Industries provide janitorial parking
security engineering and lighting services for commercial industrial
institutional and retail facilities in the United States British Columbia and
Canada so they're not only national they have a little bit of international to
them this stock is going ex-dividend on the 3rd of October which is next
Wednesday you would have to buy this stock on Tuesday or prior in order to
capture that X dividend and then you'll get paid out on the 5th of November here
is the 10-year chart so all you have to do on these graphs here is you can see
the the data as far as just trending very slowly over the past 10 years
moving positive you can see here recently as of 2017 there was a dip here
within their free cash flow maybe they took on some extra maybe they made an
acquisition of some sorts that would be something to research a little bit
further their net income dip there a little bit their free cash flow depth
there a little bit maybe they had to use some of the reserves in order to
overcome some sort of an issue that they had but for the most part over the past
10 years this company has moved up positively in their dividend their price
revenue free cash flow or net income if you take the 10 year average and divided
by 10 that's going to give you your return per year on average so for
example their price in the orange is up 83% over the past 10 years if you were
to divide that by ten that would give you
an average return of eight point three percent appreciation plus you get in a
dividend yield paid out to you around two percent so you would actually make
ten percent on your return when you're adding the average return on you know
with that dividend yield here is the one year chart here at the top they pay out
seventeen cents you know and a half a cent their per share each quarter
they're currently priced at thirty three dollars and 22 cents when I pull this
information that gives them a yield of around two point zero nine two points
eleven currently their current p/e ratio is at a twenty six point one six which
is pretty high but if you look at their forward p/e it's expected it drop all
the way down to seventeen point eight their price the book is sitting at a one
point five which is very healthy and their price of sales is at a point three
four so this would need a little bit of research some companies can show a
negative or not a negative but like a low prices price to sales ratio due to
debt that they've been taking on so this would just be a little bit of a research
item there again ABM they were in the business services services sector so
when looking at the chart here above it does show the current stock is currently
trading with the yield over the price for the year which may indicate it may
be undervalued at this time the stock is at the industry average so stock is
right around eight twenty six point one six it's actually slightly below when I
pulled this information off Morningstar and then this actual information off
here it is slightly trading below the industry average but slightly above the
S&P 500 average but if you look at that forward p/e at 17.8 that puts it well
below the industry and the S&P 500 average the payout ratio for this
company is thirty seven point two which is below the sixty percent payout ratio
so their earnings could drop by half their payout ratio may increase around
sixty seventy percent but this company could continue to pay out during
downturns and raise their dividend as they have done so for the past fifty
years this price the book is that one point five which is below 3.0 where
value festers would consider a value so this
puts it at a pretty good value play you're getting me high yield on costs
for your current biome good solid financials good history of dividend
growth number two on our X dividend we have ticker symbol s YY this is Cisco
it's one of the world's largest broadband food distributor the company
focuses on marketing distributing food products of restaurants health care and
educational facilities hotels and ends you could probably probably seen their
trucks on the freeway or just delivery and food service to you so many of the
other businesses out there so they serve over 400,000 clients this company is
going ex-dividend on the 4th of October which is next Thursday you'd have to buy
this one on Wednesday or prior hold it until the ex-dividend date and then be
able to capture that payout on the 26th of October you can see this one over the
most part here their free cash flow had dipped after the recession but has to
came back up positive coming out you know over the last 10 years they have
finally you know the free cash flows up nine point seven seven percent so they
do have a bit of a dip here during that down turds and have slightly recovered
out of there so this company is up 134 percent over the past ten years that
puts them at an average return of thirteen point four percent just based
on appreciation they also have a payout of one point nine three percent right
now so we'll estimate that this company pays out roughly two percent of their
price their share price per year on top of that thirteen percent appreciation
for the company so that gives them about an average return of fifteen percent
give or take also you can see all their other numbers here dividend price change
up six point three percent on average per year a little bit you know I like to
look for stocks that have a seven percent increase on average per year for
dividend change and the read their revenue and the purple their net income
and in the green of course is their free cash flow here we're looking at their
one year graph they currently pay out thirty six cents per share each quarter
currently prices seventy two dollars and ninety six cents that gives them a
current yield of around one point nine three 1.97 depending on the day their
cram p/e ratio is at a twenty six point nine to Ford p/e is at a twenty point
eight to price the book is very at a 15.3 and their price of sales is at
a point six five seven so when chart at doe show the current
stock does have a price over a yield which may indicate at this time it may
be overvalued or just kind of over you know overbought sonic has traded above
the industry average of twenty two point three again the industry that it's in is
food wholesale and it's also traded above the sp500 p/e average there of
twenty five point three the payout is actually below sixty percent in city
ninety forty one point three percent payout ratio and has been increasing
their dividends for the past forty seven years so again another very
recession-proof sock here during downturns they will continue to pay out
dividends and maybe that's what happened here they had to dip into the free cash
flow paying out those dividends during hard times but they maintained their
dividend payout and helped out their shareholders so price the book value on
this one is that a fifteen point three which is very high in comparison to the
3.0 average water value of investors was considered a value again the stock is
trading at around a one point nine seven yield they pal at dollar forty four for
sheriff the entire year per share yep payout ratio is eighty 41.3 and they've
had dividend growth to the past forty seven years number three GNC x gentex
corp they design develop manufacture and market elegant electrical electro-optic
products include the automatic dimming rearview mirrors for the automotive
industry and fire protection products for the commercial buildings industry
worldwide they're also going ex-dividend next thursday on the 4th of october
you'd have to buy them on wednesday or prior hold them until thursday
the payout date on this one would be the 17th of october so pretty quick return
on this one you can see this one does have some very high numbers as far as
movement goes whereas the other ones may have been in the single digits for the
past ten years on average this one their dividend change on average is up 10% a
year on average so that's er you know their lowest financial metric if we take
a look at their price in the orange their price is up 27.6% on
average per year and the red is the revenue of 19.1% on average per year the
free cash flow for see here 47 percent on average per year and the purple here
at the top their net income is up 61 percent on average year over year so
very good growth out of this company so looks pretty good this is a good one
here I would check out a little bit further due to that dividend you know I
like to have dividend stocks I'm just gonna go ahead and report on these ones
we can kind of discuss what I believe you know my opinion at the end so here
Jhin tax when Charlotte doe show the current stock toes have a higher yield
over price I say yield of a price because the current dividend yield is
1.97 this chart does not show that the
current they currently increase their dividend from around was 10 cents per
share to 11 cents per share that was a nice you know 10 percent dividend hike
there that puts them at a new yield of around one point nine seven two percent
depending on the day which is above that price of $22 and thirty five cents
their current p/e ratio is fourteen point three three forward p/e is
thirteen point four price of sales is that a three point four five and price
the book is eighty three point one two so again yield of a price currently
saying it may be honored by it at this time are kind about that valued
opportunity by the stock is training above the industry average of thirteen
point seven the industry for this one is automotive parts that you know they
develop rearview mirrors and all sorts of little electronics and they are below
the S&P 500 average of twenty five point three currently they have they're
trading below six for that payout ratio they're really trading out payout of
twenty six point five which is you know way below that half point fifty percent
and they've had dividend growth for the past seven years I forgot if this
company lock their dividend I believe they locked it out they didn't cut it I
believe they had locked it during the downturn or that they just recently
started paying out dividends so price the book on this one is that a three
point one two which is slightly above that three point oh
value or value investors would consider date value but if you look at your
stocks that you may be holding you may be holding some stocks that do have a
price to book value higher than three so this may not be a metric that you used
to you know base stocks off of so again P currently sitting at a 4.34
p/e as ad 13.4 which says put them below the industry and the S&P 500 average
they're given a yields around two percent forty four cents payout per
share because they just recently increased their payout to eleven cents
per share each quarter and they've grown their dividend seven years number four
everyone's favorite financial bank lair JPMorgan they're a multinational bank
and financial service company they provide the investment banking financial
services for consumer and small businesses commercial banking and yada
yada yada they do a lot of banking one of the largest banks in United States in
terms of assets just about everyone I know you know does their banking at
Chase if they're in the civilian sector you know they're in the and the you know
the military in the past they probably used USAA but for the most part I know a
lot of people that use Chase so this one's going ex-dividend again on
Thursday the 4th of October you'd have to buy this one on Wednesday or prior
you would then get paid out on the 31st of October you can see here over the
past 10 years this one does have some negative free cash flow it's one of
those financials so negative free cash flow you can see it varies it goes up it
goes down and it goes up it goes down currently financials have been getting
hammered here recently with rising rate so I should really help them out making
their loans pay back you know more profitable for them but this is one I
include it in here because this actually did a little bit slightly better than
some of the other ones on the list this week so this one just made the cut so
here and the purple that income up 39% on average per year in the orange prices
up thirteen point four percent on average per year you can see it's pretty
flat go on to 2018 as we have raised rates three times now going you know
Wednesday we're going to be raising rates again we believe dividend recently
got a huge hike which really helped them out they did cut their dividend back in
the past but since 2000 and 11 they have increased their
dividend which puts them over that five-year point but with this huge hike
here once the once they dropped the the barrier is on them there was some change
recently that allowed them to pay out and not have to have so many money you
know so much money on books they increase their dividend by a bet you
know by 40 some percent I believe and that really put them over that percent
there and in the red they have the revenue up 5.6 percent on average per
year free cash flows down there slightly so here for the year they increase their
dividend from around 55 cents per share each quarter to 80 cents per share each
quarter they're currently priced at 116 dollars and 80 cents that gives them a
yield right now they just increase their yield this doesn't show the current
yield this shows 1.92 their actual yield is two point two four you can get this
by taking in their current payout which is 80 cents per share you multiply that
by four you divide that by the current stock price which is one hundred and
sixteen dollars and eight multiply that by a hundred and you get that current
dividend yield of 2.73 percent yep right on the dot okay and see here price the
p/e ratio is currently at a fifteen point five five forward p/e is that
around a twelve point six five prices sales is that a three point eight eight
and price the book is that a one point six nine so when charted just show the
stock does have a higher you know higher price to yield currently no it doesn't
so the actual yield is over the price right now the yields up here in that two
point seven percent range due to that huge increase that they recently did
putting them at a slightly value by I know a couple of their investors on
YouTube and also in the Facebook groups have been checking out financials ad
they've been kind of hammered lately if you had bought Goldman Sachs JP Morgan a
few others here back in that February dip you would have got a pretty good
buying opportunity there so the stock is trading slightly below the industry
average and the S&P 500 average they're currently at a fifteen point
five five industry of 17.9 SP is 80/20 5.3 this company does have a low payout
ratio of 35% I'm not sure if this is including the new right the new dividend
increase that they've recently paid out that would be something interesting I
have to check out their earnings and see how much of it they pay out dividends
for the past seven years coming out of the recession their price the book as
any 1.69 right around that 1.5 level this you know for financials you're
looking at a price to book between one point you know anywhere between one
point seven and below I would say it's pretty buy for any sort of financial as
far as price the book goes here stock we've already covered most of this
information here so and rise panel if you were to multiply their current
payout of 80 cents per share by four that puts them Eddie three dollars and
20 cents per share pale that's a pretty good payout there number five our last
stock this week as ticker said well dgx this is quest diagnostics they provide
diagnostic testing information and services in United States the company
offers routine tests including blood labs blood cluster II levels complete
blood cell count urinalysis pregnancy and other Petra pre turn old test
alcohol and other substance abuse tests and allergy tests so again this stocks
going ex-dividend next Thursday on the fourth of October you'd have to buy them
on Wednesday or prior you would think it paid out only 22nd of October here you
can see this company has raised our dividend by a very large amount forty
percent on average per year you can see some huge rate hikes dividend hikes 2013
you know huge one there so this one has you know forty percent is that
maintainable probably not but price has increased on average ten point eight
percent and the purple net income about three point nine percent on average per
year and the red we have the revenue at point five percent on average per year
and the free cash flow at point four percent on average per year so pretty
o point zero four yeah point zero four point zero five there on those numbers
because you're multiplying it or divided by ten oh it's only one decimal so I was
right the first time but still interesting company there
here one year graph let's see here they felt $0.50 per share each year or each
quarter per share they're currently priced at a hundred and seven dollars
and sixty one science dividend yield is currently a one point eight six because
they recently did increase their dividend from around forty four point
four you know forty four cents is some change to now fifty cents they're a very
nice rate hike their current p/e ratio is at eighteen point five two forward
p/e it is a sixteen point three price the book is eighty two point eight price
of sales of a 1.9 this one overall looks one of the most valued stocks in terms
of metrics go here so when sure that does show the current
stock does have a higher yield over price for currently which may indicate
it may be an undervalued or valued stock at this time the stock is trading below
the industry average of forty one point for the industry for this one is medical
laboratories and research and health care sort of within that Procter and
Gamble non Johnson & Johnson and a few others their S&P 500 PE is at a twenty
five point three this one again dividend yield currently sits around II one point
eight six because that new change in dividend they pay out two dollars per
share each year the current payout is that Hilo 30.4 and they've had dividend
growth for six years so out of all these companies here we have five stocks again
starting at the top ticker symbol is a BM which is ABM industries they're in
these services you know business services services sector we have ticker
symbol syy this Cisco they're in the food wholesaling again services sector
we have GN t x which is gentex Corp - they're in the automotive parts and
consumer goods sector we have ticker symbol J p.m. which is JP Morgan Chase
they're in the money central bank since financial sector and we have ticker
symbol DG x which is quest diagnostics and they're in the medical laboratories
in the healthcare sector so when taking a quick look over these I believe that's
a best current valued one would be between GNT x and d
GX i believe i forgot to do the other ones were i know over on my facebook
page or ABM actually look at a pretty good yeah if you're looking at dividend
growth over the long term i think that ABM is probably your best bet as far as
the dividend growth investor but i would want to research why they took such a
huge dip here in their free cash flow and in their net income what happened at
the end of 2017 that took a large chunk out of there it looks like they did
recover it but i would be interesting to go over their 10k yeah they're cool
their annual report and ten boy i cannot think right now they're clearly
important kind of see what the heck happened there so dividend growth
investor ABM would probably be my first pick now as far as my second pick that
would be something more along the lines of GT g and c x or DG x to kind of check
those out a little bit further but those are very short-term this one here
doesn't look like it has very strong financials as far as prices the only
thing that's really moved up in the double digits over the past ten years
quest Diagnostics only up 3.9% an average further net income so i would
say that the second pick would probably end up being
gentex ticker symbol GN t XO between AVM and GNC x for this week but check all
five of those locks out let me know in the comment section but let me know in
the comment section below out of these five stocks which one would
you feel you know which one of these would you want to investigate just a
little bit further and check out for yourself and let me know in the comment
section below I'd highly appreciate that so that is it
for this video if you guys did enjoy the video and watch it up into this point
hit that like button below I really appreciate it if you're brand new that
channel remember to subscribe for a few future financial videos if you have any
questions that all want to say hello leave me a comment below and I will
always reply and if you haven't visited my facebook group go ahead and check
that out also in the description below as a filling disclaimer I am NOT a
financial advisor or tax professional the information provided in
these videos as much as for entertainment and fun this not
investment advice this is just me as a financial investor myself trying to
others make their money work for them look for some deals out there I think
that there are some good buying opportunities out there especially right
now where the markets are some stocks are actually trading near 52 we close so
if you're able to buy them right now they won't have you know for the most
part shouldn't have too much of a downturn in the future as they've
already been in that downturn currently and they'll have much more upside than
downside potential so that's it for this video thank you guys for tuning in I
will see you next time have a great day bye

Outdoor Meal Test 🍽- Creme Brûlée by Backpackers Pantry - Duration: 13:26.
all right it'll be a nice little warm fire for my dessert so what we're gonna
need today in today's video is the food a spoon and cold water that's it which
is awesome well we're tasting today and trying out
for kind of transferring that information over to you guys this is
such a nice warm fire so I'm about the end of the day having a nice little warm
fire and a snack this is from backpackers pantry they make some pretty
damn delicious outdoor meals now once again I'm not a huge fan of outdoor
meals and the fact that I don't like what's in them is a lot of junk a lot of
poison a lot of things that you don't want to put in your body but I
understand minimalistic you're looking at only four point five ounces on this
which is actually kind of heavy for a dessert but you know it's between two
people it's kind of nice makes the makes the trip a little bit better but this is
creme brulee so if it's anywhere close to what actual creme brulee tastes like
it's gonna be delicious and let's hope it does that's the problem though your
brain says creme brulee and then you taste it you know you know so
"creme de la chalk" is what it'll probably it'll taste like we'll see I
don't want to be I don't be biased I'm just not a huge fan of instant meals for
outdoors so we will see but it says a sweet and satisfying twist on a classic
French dessert just add cold water serves to nutrition facts you can pause
the screen if you want to see it but there's not as much sugar as that
thought there would be there's only 18 grams from the whole
pack visitors serving sizes to per container so it's only everything they
state on this Nutrition Facts is only half of what they actually are so 18
grams of sugar 14 grams of protein carbohydrates Louise fires warming up
the ole giblets back a little bit it's a lovely fire but rather than that
catch my crotch on fire and blazing pretty hard there you know I mean don't
be blazing pretty hard have somebody run over and stomp out my crotch have you
ever seen babies day out I don't know have you have you seen if you've seen
Babies Day Out you know exactly what I'm talking about
and it's probably the funniest scene ever in cinematic history but
back to it I'm gonna get sidetracked with this fire so often but like I was
saying sodium is 390 milligrams for half servings so you're looking at 780
milligrams of sodium in this container seven and eighty oh that's one way to
die and then you look at the ingredients list man it just goes on and on and on
some of these things I can't even pronounce
obviously partially hydrogenated coconut palm kernel and soybean oil okay if you
have to put it in there I guess cream cheese nailed it I know what that
is butter milk nonfat dry milk modified food starch car run gene and Cara
carrageenan Cara Kaji yeah I thought Nikon speaking
foreign languages so diem Ave there's a lot of weird stuff in here
dip dip Oh TAS iam dipotassium phosphate I'm not a nutritionist but that doesn't
sound healthy it's probably something very basic Carissa Nate which is a milk
derivative salt so nailed it got that one natural and artificial flavors
that's where they get you those when they say natural flavors you know is it
naturally good for you probably not what naturally is is it naturally like
gasoline is it naturally like napalm just because they say natural doesn't
mean it's good for you so keep that in mind but I don't want to be a you know
bearer of bad news and raining on your parade but keep it in mind what you put
in your body is what your body puts out you know you're puttin crap you get crap
don't be a crappy person this fires doing quite nice so instructions on how
to do this let's get this going I think there's a ten-minute sit time so let's
get this rolling before it's too dark says remove and
discard and closed oxygen absorber so always remove the oxygen absorber you
open this up Wow powder... always always
pick up your trash I say it in every video pick up your trash if you pack it
in pack it out don't be a douche bag all right let's open this up
oh geez it's "backpackers pantry brought to you by Tony Montana" Oh smells in what it
smells like it smells like it smells like powdered ranch dressing there it is
boom be gone with you god this stuff is it's like it's got the
the consistency of baking soda so be prepared don't open it too abruptly or
else you'll snort in a ton of this Benzedrine Khurana then a Janina Nana
G's wheeze it's a bit of a mess sloppy eater on my side I did just all over
myself so yeah took out oxygen absorber now it says remove brulee sugar topping
packet and set aside I'm guessing means this cocaine off my
bag of goodness creme de la creme brulée crunchy bits on top it's like a sugar
topping thing let's set it over here next to the water
Oh God yep yep this is a messy one don't do it while sitting down wall having it
all over you go kind of like a fat person I like black all right long day
man I need I need this okay see I like these videos it's not
supposed to be anything crazy serious I'm just tasting these things trying
them out tell me what I think that way you don't go into the backcountry
thinking you're gonna get creme brulee and then you get baking soda and ker
karinjini no none so now it says add 3/4 cup or 180 milliliters of cold water to
filling mix beat briskly with two forks for two minutes two forks have a spoon B
with two forks for two minutes how would you do that I don't see how put it on
the ground I guess like hole absolutely like how are you supposed to beat this
with two forks at the same time for two minutes you look like a crazy person I'm
gonna do with a spoon whatever blame the results on the fact I
didn't use two forks and that's not gonna change anything weird two forks
for two minutes I should have read that I don't think I don't know why I didn't
catch that I love fire I love playing with fire more than probably anything
don't play with fire kids not until you're an adult even then be very
careful this is too beautiful to burn down so all seriousness be used to be
smart so beat briskly for two forks for two minutes and sprinkle brulée sugar
topping over top of filling after you're done beating it with two forks in this
case the spoon then for two minutes and then you're gonna put this over top of
it I know I know I'm making this sound way
more complicated than it is but I don't want to be like this is how you do it
and this is what it was and this is what it tastes like that's not a fun video
let it sit for 10 minutes rehydration time doubles every 5,000 feet of
elevation gain our directions are set at 5,000 feet I'm roughly at about 5500
right now I think 6000 maybe so it's about right so 10 minutes will give it
that I just want to make sure to put some water in there so 180 milliliters
that's about this is 500 milliliters so we're looking at just under a half
bottle yeah it's about we need we don't want to put too much in there nothing
like soggy creme brulee oh wow yeah I can see why they say use a fork it gets
oh man it was bad when was powder form it's
double time and I'm not sure if being in this close the fire is gonna affect it
but it's it's cold in my hand the fire is kind of going more towards my leg
that way which I probably should monitor before my pants melt to my thigh
it looks like cottage cheese so like runny cottage cheese that's what it
looks like keep that in mind it still smells smells like buttermilk and ranch
dressing mix I don't know why they get all these edges in here the hardest
thing with these meals you want to make sure to get the edges because the last
thing you want to do especially with the warm meals you start eating and it's all
good you like oh wow it's kind of runny I wonder why you get to the bottom and
it's like you get like this powder explosion of that corner that you missed
of all the all the delicious goodness that's supposed to be in your meal that
was packed into the corner so get into the corners get the edges scrape it off
the bottom make sure you're getting everything or else your meals not going
to be quite what it should be okay now we're getting somewhere
it's like a really runny yogurt right now note to self if you're getting this
especially the two serving size have a larger utensil preferably two forks

Sadhguru - 3 basic qualities of existence: Tamas, Rajas and Satva . - Duration: 18:56.
This is the first night of Navaratri, and this night and this day
This coming day after this
is dedicated to the feminine nature of the divine.
Durga, Laxmi and Saraswati are used as the symbols of these three dimensions
of the feminine. They also represent the three basic qualities
of existence – tamas,
rajas and satva.
Tamas literally means inertia. Rajas means activity, passion.
Satva, in a way
is breaking of boundaries. dissolution, melting and merging.
Among the three celestial objects to which the very making of our bodies are
very deeply connected – the earth, the sun and the moon.
Mother Earth is considered tamas. The sun is rajas.
Moon is satva. Those who aspire
for power for immortality
for strength they will worship those forms of feminine
which are referred to as tamas, like the Kali
or the Mother Earth Those who aspire for wealth,
for passion for life
and various other gifts that the material world has to offer,
they naturally aspire towards that form of the feminine
which is referred to as the Laxmi or the sun.
Those who aspire for knowledge, knowing, transcendence,
immortality of not the body but transcending the limitations of the mortal
body, they will aspire for that aspect of the feminine
which is referred to as the satva, or Saraswatiis the representative of that,
or the moon. These three will follow the next three days.
Today is the day of Durga or Kali. Tomorrow is the day of Laxmi;
the day after is the day of Saraswati. This is arranged in this way
because it's after all from the earth that we arise,
and we could live an active life which is rajas –
the second nature of the Devi. The third one may come your way or may not.
If you have to bring her down into you, you have to strive;
otherwise she will not get down to you. Kali is on the ground.
Laxmi is sitting on a flower. Saraswati is riding a peacock.
(speaks in Tamil) Do you know what the peacock is saying?
I think everybody is supposed to pick up three sentences of Tamil by now. (Laughs)
(speaks in Tamil) do you know what the peacock is saying?
So, these three days are the days of the feminine, for those of you who are not aware of this.
The Linga Bhairavi has been consecrated with three basic chakras.
This man (Referring to Dhyanalinga) has all the seven;
she has only three chakras to represent three these three dimensions of tamas, rajas and
satva. Tamas is the nature of the earth,
and today is her day. And she is the one who gives birth.
The whole... the gestation period that we spend in the
womb, our womb time is tamas,
it's like a a state which is almost like hibernation,
but it's growing. So tamas is the nature of
the earth of your birth;
the moment you come out, then you start activity – rajas begins.
If you are aware enough or fortunate enough, satva will touch you, otherwise the color
of rajas – it's good as long as the going is good.
When the going gets bad, rajas is going to be super bad.
So these nine days, above all, to approach every aspect of life in a celebratory
way – this is most important.
If you approach everything in a celebratory way,
you learn to be non-serious about life but absolutely involved.
The problem with most human beings right now is
if they think something is important, they will become dead serious about it.
If they think it is not so important they will become lax about it,
they don't show the necessary involvement. That's not it.
The passage, the secret of life is in just this –
seeing everything with a non-serious eye, but absolutely involved
like a game That's the reason most profound aspects
of life are approached in a celebratory way
so that you don't miss the point. If you're serious
(speaks in Tamil) if one is serious means the next step is
You know, in Tamil language, or even in English probably,
'He's in a very serious condition,' means
next step you know where. (Laughs) And lot of people are in a serious condition.
There is only one thing that's going to happen to them
which is of any significance, rest will bypass them,
because anything that they think is not serious they are unable to show involvement and
dedication towards that, that's the whole problem.
There a're any number of lily ponds around the ashram.
Compared to any other flower, lily blooms fastest, you know?
Within about an hour's time, from a uninteresting bud it becomes a spectacular
flower. How many of you took time to sit there for
an hour and watch it actually opening up?
'No, watching a flower bloom?
We got more important things to do. Because if we have time we will go into our
room and open the computer and watch a video,
why will I sit and watch a goddamn flower blooming?'
That is the reason why you don't flower for a long time,
because you do not know how to pay attention to the smallest detail
of your life. If you do not know how to pay attention to
this Breath
what is there to watch? Then you're missing the whole point.
So it is because of this that spiritual process seems to be sitting up there
in the sky. It is not sitting up there in the sky,
it is very earthy. It is something that every human being can
do, but most never ever do.
Fantastic humanity we have, really. You are a marketing guy,
you are not a biologist, are you? You? No, no. You are not
You are also marketing? Why are you all sitting in a diagonal line
like this to me? So
if you want to market something, first of all you have to have a good produce,
isn't it? You have to have a good product.
If you do not focus on producing a good product and you just focus on marketing,
that's called bullshit, isn't it? So that's also called gossip.
That is also called ignorance. And the reason why enlightenment seems to
be such a rare thing is not because it's hidden somewhere,
it's not because you have to move this mountain to get it,
it is just that because you thought the blossoming of the lily flower is not important,
that's the reason. It is this still earth which seems to be 'manne',
in America it's 'dirt', it is that dirt which flowers as a spectacular
flower. It is that dirt which has become this.
So if you think that's dirt, you're a dirt bag, aren't you? (Laughs)
So today is the day. Now you are sitting rooted to the earth –
she is sitting on a mattress. It's a flying carpet,
that's why she's here. You are sitting on the earth;
you must just learn to simply be one with her.
You are anyway a part of her. Only when she wishes she throws you out;
when she wishes she sucks you back. So what was absolute inertia
now has become a dynamic rajas. This may transcend or
may again go back to the same thing. Durga-Lakshmi, Durga-Lakshmi, Durga-Lakshmi
(speaks in Tamil) Does anyone have the name - Durga Lakshmi?
Durga-Lakshmi, Durga-Lakshmi; Saraswati never happened,
that means you are in the cycle, you are in the trap of life and death,
life and death, life and death; transcendence is yet to come.
So these two will anyway happen. What is in a state of inertia will get into
a state of rajas and activity and
again fall back and become inertia for a certain period of time and
again get back into activity. This is happening to you as an individual,
this is happening to the planet, this is happening to the galaxy,
this is happening to the whole cosmos – it goes into a state of inertia and
then becomes dynamic and again goes into a state of inertia,
but the important thing is this one has the capability
to break the cycle and transcend. So, these three dimensions of the Devi
are enshrined in the form of Bhairavi or Linga Bhairavi.
So these three days you must be able to draw these three
dimensions of existence and sustenance for yourself,
because you need all these three. The first two are needed for your survival
and well-being. The third is an aspiration to go beyond.
So Navaratri starts off with this, not only fabulous symbolism,
it is also energy-wise true. Every month – it is not just once in a year
– every month after Amavasya, the first three
days are like this. Amavasya is a state of inertia
where the five elements are going through a certain integration within themselves.
The next day is in a placid, inertia state, then it gets active, then there is room for
transcendence, the moon begins to appear.
This is why the third day's moon is held as very important. You know?
The third day's moon is held as very important because the possibility of transcendence has
opened up. What was in a state of inertia and
then in a state of activity and entanglement, now has opened a possibility of transcendence.
This is… Every month it is happening. This particular month is a little more pronounced
because this Amavasya was more pronounced than the rest of the Amavasyas during the
year. Of all the twelve or sometimes thirteen Amavasyas,
this particular one is the strongest one, which was yesterday.
Today is the first day, today is the day of Durga or Kali.
So Durga Lakshimi Durga-Lakshmi-Saraswati - a beaturiful name
If you marry anyone, Durga-Lakshmi-Saraswati - very difficult....(Laughs)
He can call DLS (Laughter)

Our Mirage Interview | Crowdsalat Magazin - Duration: 20:02.
Hello, I'm Timo. I'm the vocalist of "Our Mirage".
Hi, I'm Manuel. I'm the bass player and second vocalist of "Our Mirage".
I'm Daniel. I'm the drummer of "Our Mirage".
I'm Steffen, the guitarist of "Our Mirage".
He said "Steffen" ...
Did you have music lessons or "learning by doing"?
I had music lessons in guitar & bass.
Also in playing drums. I even had bongo lessons.
Bongo lessons?
Yes, i even had piano lessons.
I also had singing lessons.
It was "learning by doing" anyway. So it was both.
I had lessons in playing piano, which doesn't have that much to do with playing bass.
I taught myself how to sing and play bass.
So that was more like "learning by doing", for the things I use in the band.
And how did you learn how to shout?
I was taught shouting by Timo Bonner "ShoutingGod".
I also had music lessons, but only for one year and just for drums.
After that I continued to educate myself.
I had guitar lessons for a year.
I taught myself most of it.
In which country would you like to tour?
Good question.
I think we all really want to go to America.
Australia definitely, too.
A tour through Russia would be nice.
Yeah, or Japan.
But only if the people really like us.
Sweet or hearty breakfast?
I'm more like the hearty one in the morning.
For me, it's both.
I think it depends on the mood.
I think so, too. Depending on the mood
Yeah, I don't have breakfast at all.
But if I could choose, I would rather take the hearty one.
I'm more the...
You aren't the sweet guy, right?
No, I'm the aggressive guy.
I had pizza this morning.
This is breakfast for me, too. But that's at 1 pm.
Which bands did you hear at the age of 14?
SLIPKNOT!
I was a big fan of Slipknot at this time.
Bullet For My Valentine and A Day To Remember!
Definitely A Day To Remember.
That was 4 years ago?
It was Architects for me
Architects, A Day To Remember ...
Did they already exist when you were 14?
When I was 14?! Not 2014?
So 1984, when you were 14.
Shut up!
I've listened to Bullet For My Valentine, A Day To Remember ... It started with those.
I don't know it anymore.
I listened a lot to Saosin.
I don't know if anyone knows them.
Yes, I do.
At that time I also heard "Die Ärzte".
I think, they are only known in Germany.
Apart from that, I don't know any other band.
clubtour or festivals?
Both are a lot of fun.
We haven't played on that many big festivals yet.
We can't really answer that at this point.
But both of it is a lot of fun.
I personally think, that clubshows were always a bit more fun
because they were way more crowded.
Indeed. There's a different mood than on a festival.
There a so many different people.
At Clubshows most of the people only come for one band.
There's a completely different energy at clubshows, which gives us a lot of power on stage.
It's always fun to play smaller shows. We really like to do that.
favorite movies & series?
We both like Dexter, I think.
Yes, Dexter. Definitely.
My favorite movies are "Lord of The Rings", "Star Wars" and every movie of Marvel.
I agree with "Star Wars".
Me too. My favorite series is by far "Breaking Bad".
Yeah, that series was cool. "Game of Thrones", too. There are so many good ones.
I like the classic "The Simpsons" and "Get Him To The Greek".
What?
"Get Him To The Greek".
I've never heard that before.
Okay... I'm at the wrong place.
Is it the movie, where someone needs to pick up a superstar?
Yes, exactly.
and everything's going wrong...?
Ah, good one!
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" is also very nice.
What do you do outside of music?
Laze.
Go to work.
My life is just music. I don't do anything else.
I meet my friends, my family and my girlfriend.
The same goes for me. Family, friends... Besides that I have a normal job. I work at a primary school and study teaching at primary level.
So I'm going to be a teacher rockstar.
I'm looking forward to it. teacher slash rockstar
I also have a normal job, I'm media designer.
Besides that, I spend a lot of time with my friends and my family.
And with my girlfriend.
That was important!
I can only agree. Friends, family and girlfriend
and my normal job is educator.
What did you want to become when you were kids?
I always liked lawnmowers very much and I wanted to become one.
You wanted to become a lawnmower?
I meant gardening and landscaping.
This has come to nothing, unfortunately.
Luckily.
When I was little, I wanted to become a lot. But I gave everything for one thing.
Did not happen.
I wanted to become a ornithologist. A bird scientist.
I had tons of books at home and knew everything by heart.
I still can identify so many birds in the sky.
That's super weird.
What did you want to become, Maus?
I've never had a real wish. I've never set myself.
I wanted to become a policeman.
He wanted to become a big mouse.
Apart from that, I always thought about getting big with "Our Mirage".
That used to be your vision, right?
I always wanted to become an engineer.
But then I did not feel like it anymore and thought: "You should go study. That's probably nicer."
That's what I did then.
What were your favorite subjects at school?
Music and english.
English and geography
Geography?
Yes, advanced course, mate.
Ask me for a capital city and I don't know the answer. But I had geography advanced course.
It was music and english for me, too.
I also had music as my favorite subject.
And economy last. Economy was cool.
Since when do you know each other?
I know them since one and a half year.
Stiff is the newest here.
But I'm not the oldest.
I know Maus the longest.
We got to know each other very early.
We got to know each other at the beginng of 2013.
No, I think it was at the end of 2012, because we were on stage in 2013.
Right, I know him since the end of 2012.
We know each other since 2013.
I hated him.
He was really annoying. He has texted me on YouTube.
It turned out for the better.
I think, I did everything right. Best friends now.
By mistake.
Stiff is related by marriage.
Since the band exists.
Actually, I didn't want to have me along.
You two have known each other since ...
Since 2013, the "Broken Fairytales" show, where I helped out.
Do you ever want to make other music than before?
Hard to say
Currently, I am very happy with the music.
I'm also a bit happy with the band.
Everything is great right now. I see no reason for a complete change of direction.
But you never know, what happens in the next 5-10 years.
Maybe I'll become a gangster rapper.
Probably.
What musical inspirations do you have?
Mine is definitely Timo Bonner. First of all.
Well, I don't know. It's hard to say.
Other bands and musicians.
We have our inspiration not only from certain bands of the genre.
It's pretty wide-ranging.
We try to shape our direction out of this.
We're doing pretty well so far.
When did you start making music?
I started when I was 10 years old.
In a band or in general?
in general
Ten.
I also started when I was 10 years old.
At this time I was playing the piano.
Since I'm 11 or 12 years old, I'm playing drums.
I had piano lessons when I was 5 years old.
At some point I taught myself playing the guitar.
Then I tried to focus on the vocals.
Then the band came, but everything started when I was 5 years old.
I had piano lessons at the age of 5 or 6, but that doesn't count, because I wasn't into it.
I had them for 10 years, until I was 15 years old.
I always pretended that I couldn't remember anything.
I purposely played everything wrong.
Then the piano teacher said to my dad:" It's not worth it! He has no musical talent."
manipulative, Timo.
Greetings!
Do you have contact with each other outside of the band?
Yeah, he's my best friend.
We step on the gas! The left breast is also very important.
We don't have that much time to meet privately in this constellation.
Manuel lives a bit further away.
I live in Wesel now.
He drives an hour, with traffic jam about 2 hours.
I drive here for an hour.
Stiff drives 40 minutes.
Maus... I live here.
In the practice room.
But we've already submitted a day in the calendar, where we all are going to meet each other besides the band. For a beer!
What was the best experience for you this year?
I have to say, the Elbriot Festival was pretty nice.
The "Never Back Down"-show was also pretty cool.
pretty cool atmosphere
But Elbriot Festival was a cool experience. To perform infront of so many people.
Album release, of course.
For me, there were several big moments this year.
The first big moment was, when I recorded the last note of the album with Stiff.
And when we said: Now we're done, now we're looking for a label.
Then: The next big moment was when we got the contract.
When the e-mail arrived and they absolutely wanted us.
Then the album release.
Elbriot festival and the never back down show were awesome. That were my moments.
I think there will be another huge moment, when we're on tour.
Are you living your dream?
At the moment, yes!
If it continues exponentially, definitely.
We are on the right track.
We've already achieved so much. We never could have imagined.
And now we're here.
I found it very strange to hold the album in my hands. In Saturn or something like that.
That was an awesome feeling.
Which band would you like to have a feature with?
We both agree. Telle of "The Word Alive" or Caleb Shomo of "Beartooth".
Sam Carter would be nice.
And what about you?
Oliver Skyes.
That's a bit utopian.
Do you have a couple words about "Lifeline"?
Buy it!
That were exactly 2 words. A couple.
I don't know.
"Lifeline" was a nice egg, which we have laid.
We've been brooding on it for a long time.
It hatched.
And ...
No! It didn't hatch, it rolls.
and gets bigger.
and, yeah...
Buy it!
Your favorite songs from "lifeline"?
I think my favorite songs of the album are "lost" and "the unknown".
I won't answer, because they are exactly the same.
"Lost" and "Believe"
For me, it's "Lost" and....
all
"Fading".
Whereby, Stiff is right. "Believe" is also one of my favorites. These 3.
How is the cooperation in the band?
We have a clear distribution of tasks.
Everyone brings a certain expertise into the band.
We take advantage of that, of course.
Manuel is good with numbers and math. Packaging!
He does the financial things. I'm also good in personal contact.
He also likes to make contacts. He's very open-minded and sociable.
I make the music and the recordings.
I make the band's management.
Maus makes technical things, designs. He programmed the light.
He designed our shirts.
Social media with me.
Stiff plays the guitar very well.
Thank you very much!
And I interfere with the songwriting.
Stiff is always present when it comes to livesound and rec.
How's the harmony between each other?
We all hate each other.
We deliberately sat down sideways, because these two are sick.
That's why we want to have very little to do with them.
oh no!
No, we all get along super super well.
We didn't have any conflicts yet.
Not at all.
This won't even happen, I think.
We're always in agreement.
But if there is a difference of opinion anyway, it's mostly Maus and we three are the other one.
Nice, that you mentioned that.
It's enough for today!
We just talk for a moment, but nobody gets angry or something like that.
Even If we discuss, we always come to a common conclusion.
In the end, everyone is happy with the result.
I am always the contra-guy. You are always the pro-side and I'm always the counterpart.
Are you working on new songs?
Yes, we're writing on album no. 2 since before the release of "Lifeline".
It's going well.
Very well, actually.
If it continues like that, the next album should be ready soon.
Who knows when the next one will come ...
It's time for the outtakes!
Like a cool sitting country singer.
What's going on?
Do we have to change the interviewer?
No, please not.
We got stuck with the lawnmower.
That's a funny interview.
You have to cut that in. That the little break was because of you.
Does Impericon have time for an interview today?
If you need even more time.
Remember! I have a hairdressing appointment at 11 pm.
So go a bit faster and everthing's fine.
What kind of appointment is that? Washing, cutting, licking?
What's wrong with him?
We just made fun about Maus' sayings.
Wait, I have to wipe away my tears.
I'm back.
With a laugh attack.
