Colgante log cabin en arcilla polimérica - Duration: 8:22.Hello! In today's video we are going to make
this polymer clay pendant with a technique that mimics the patchwork
technique called log cabin. We will use these three colors that you see on
screen: orange is eight parts yellow , one quarter
red and a quarter white. Violet is two parts blue, two and
a half white, one and a half red and a sixteenth part yellow, and
cyan is four parts blue, two parts white and an eighth yellow. To
measure these amounts you will have to use a sheet of the same thickness of
each color and cookie cutters of any shape, for example circle
start with the color orange and make a gradient sheet
cut the way you see on screen, it does not have to be
too regular
so we create a central orange triangle without tip and
two white side triangles
Again, it is not necessary that these triangles are perfect
in the same way we are going to make a violet, white and cyan gradient with
our pasta machine. If you want to know how to make the gradient in polymer clay
I leave the link to the video where I explain how to do it in the descriptionbox
and on the card. These are our two finished gradient sheets
now cut thin strips about 4 mm
wide of each of these two gradients
so that in each of the strips you see all the full colors
and now start forming your log cabin following this scheme that you see on
screen in patchwork this is a technique that
is made using different color fabrics and patterns but in this case
We are going to imitate it with our two gradients, a light and a
dark one
start with a 4 mm blue square
place a strip on top of your orange gradient
and cut as you see in the image
so that you have another 4 millimeters by the side. Now place
another orange strip, cut the same way and continue
adding strips according to the scheme. I am not measuring to
cut the strips, since it is easy to eyeball it, but you have to try to get
as regular lines as possible
continue cutting and adding the strips
according to the scheme
and insert the color gradients clear and dark to create your motive
continue completing the spiral until you have a square of the desired size
Now place some baking paper on top
and burnish gently with a card
so that you remove the seams between the different strips but without
pressing too much not to distort the pattern
continue burnishing until it is completely smooth
now pass through your pasta machine with this texture sheet
without varying too much the thickness of your sheet not to distort the
pattern and put the leftovers of your orange
gradient with some texture at the back
cut with a cookie cutter of your liking, trying to
center the pattern on the pendant and cut the excess clay
as you're not going to sand try to leave it as regular as possible
and now place the pendant on a curved surface to bake
for example this bowl. It has to be a material that can be put in the oven
such as glass or metal as in this case. Press well
to adhere it to the surface
and texture again
and now it's time to bake according to the temperature and time
indicated by the manufacturer of the brand of clay that you are using
once baked this is how our log cabin pendant looks, simply
I have glue a bail at the back and a
buna cord. I hope that you like this tutorial and that you give it
a try. Here you have the link to two other videos on my channel

Tomorrow's makers : Lionel Turci, chef de projet innovation - Duration: 1:51.Hello, my name is Lionel Turci,
and I'm an innovation project manager.
Before getting into service design at Aktan,
I was an innovation consultant
and supported companies from a variety of industries
in designing new products and services.
These days, my job still involves supporting my clients,
helping them find ways to innovate, improving service quality,
and designing new products and services,
but now I focus only on service design.
My scope of action is quite vast.
I support the project from beginning to end, and the client
starting with the first meetings,
and guiding the project day to day until completion.
Any service innovation project begins with a scoping phase, which is key
when the main goals, challenges and constraints are defined
A multi-disciplinary team is formed between Aktan and the client
to decide exactly which work methods and tools we will use together.
It's a crucial time, because if we don't accurately foresee
the project's objectives and challenges, our approach will be off course,
and we won't be able to complete the project.
During this immersion phase, I take the time to discuss
matters with each project designer and company executive individually.
Together, we determine the project goals and constraints,
its fit with business strategy, the main roles and responsibilities,
and of course which users we are addressing.
My job is to keep the project on track,
in line with the client's business issues
coordinate methods and expertise, and, if necessary,
align or re-align each step in the process.
What I find particularly exciting as project manager
is the variety of topics to deal with.
With each new project, I discover a new world
and apply my work methods and lessons I've learnt.
The human aspect is also very important, because it's essential
to build trust and act with kindness towards the client.
And it's really rewarding at the end of the project to see that
the teams are proud of succeeding and learning with Aktan.

Attractive United Kingdom pre-decimal coins - Duration: 19:42.so hello hello fellow coin collectors
here you going today my name is Glen in
case you don't know me welcome to the
channel if you haven't been here before
and welcome back if you've been here and
you like to watch my videos so today I
have the pre-decimal coins of the United
Kingdom I have some of them in coin
covers so when you have coins it's a
good idea if you actually put them in
these covers or you can put them in coin
capsules now I do not have any on the
table maybe I should make a video about
how to protect your coins but today I
have pretty much all of the pre-decimal
coins that were used in United Kingdom a
lot of these coins would have been used
in other places as well like well this
1825 farming this would have been used
in Australia because Australia used UK
coins up into 1910 and 1911 depending on
whether it's bronze or silver it would
have been used in the British parts of
Africa and and also New Zealand and
probably in the Pacific actually it
would have been used in the Pacific so
those coins would have been used in ever
places apart from UK oh also Ireland you
know islands independent country now but
back then was part of United Kingdom
until 1922 or 1928
owned only 28 days she'd around pound
coins
maybe 1922 so here I have half penny and
a farthing half penny and penny I don't
have any old pennies so that's a pity as
you can see the size of the old coins is
actually a lot larger and that's pretty
normal because there would have been
near debasement of the silver content or
a reduction in the silver content
the penny said a penny itself used to be
silver coin and that would have led to
inflation a bit like how the Roman coins
would be based and while inflation took
off in the Denarius eventually lost its
value and by well 305 by the time of
Constantine the Great the double dinars
Antonius was virtually worthless as just
a small bronze coin that size of this
Barbie so I have a a 1736 farming he
said a mintage off who knows
no one knows and it has a hole in it he
has Britannia on it and the hole would
have been used to hang on the necklace
as a decoration which you find on a lot
of coins and this is george ii rex and
it's pretty well one nice coin so here I
have a I just showed this before 1825 I
have an 1823 there as well it says the
same Britannia just facing the other way
has the Trident and the shield and oh
this is a with the United States called
corner alignment because they according
to a line like this but to me this is a
I don't know weird alignment coin
alignment is the way Australians had
their coins the normal way and this is
door just a sec gotta fall for me dear
great yeah they're great as you can see
has a low-rated head pretty much in a
Roman style has a toga which they
definitely wouldn't have worn back then
so I've got to make this a quick video
because I don't want to be too long so
here we have a 1774 already featured
this video this coin in the video is a
halfpenny as you say long neck this is
more likely a counterfeit drawer just a
third not bad big coin I need to get
more old of British coins but now I'm
not worried better in here I have to
ever half pennies from different periods
so 1779
as Britannia and this Queen Victoria
this is well what the Americans call
middle alignment may I'll call this call
an alignment but it doesn't matter I'm
not really going to adopt things
American so it's kinda lineman to me in
here we have a sailing ship and a half
pennies so this was the image on the
last series you know this but a second
that's the only thing any to half pin
years ago and then I have the penny Oh
oops
so this is 1889 the Britannia was used
on the penny up until 1970 and the last
penny was minted for circulation 1966 oh
I'm not talking about too pretty the
decimal penny because that's a different
coin Victoria quite well one all these
coins I'm gonna sell off because well at
this moment of them really want to
collect UK coins I want to focus on
myself Asian coins so moving along I
have the silver coins and well the
copper nickel coins so in 1920 up until
1920 silver coins were ninety two point
five percent silver in know between 1970
1920 and 1948 they were 50 percent
silver and after 1948 they were copper
nickels and no silver at all here we
have two different type of crew pants or
get the other one so this reference here
was introduced in 1937 this footprints
or we is the ever coin yeah this design
footprints was used between nineteen
there you go 1937 1945 it was minted in
lime integers oh and between 1937 and
1945 the majority the coins minted were
this one here
so 1941 and when Queen Elizabeth come
around they changed a design from I
believe there is a few sue might be
can't remember let's have a look on a
free plant that's a fifth plant to a
castle gate and they meant to that so
this is the last mintage for circulation
1967 in the last minted coin was 1970 in
a mint pack and we also have footprints
coins so these ones have default plan
for representing the four parts of the
United Kingdom and they're also
represented on the other coins as well
so we have the lake for Wales we have
the Shamrock for Ireland the vessel for
Scotland in the Rose for the England and
every was represented for parts of the
United Kingdom so as you might not know
apparently London he's not part of
United Kingdom because the Queen needs
permission to go in there I need to look
that up if anyone in the United Kingdom
knows that that will be awesome so then
they have a shilling which it goes to
six bits so this is our 12 pennies this
one is free shields as you can see Wales
is left out so Scotland England and
Ireland and it has the plants also from
them and as well so has the fissile
shamrock and the rose and this is
actually the best one of the best design
coins of the United Kingdom 1899 had a
mintage of about 10 million this coin in
this one's Queen Victoria and then we
have the next minted shilling ooh 1916
this one had a mintage of sorry people
I'm writing off Knights of well 35
million quite a high minted coin so has
the English line on the crown so that's
probably the Edwardian crown King Edward
and has a photographer named India
Imperial one shilling and George the
fifth
so they divided the actual inscription
on both sides and then in 1937 they
actually introduced in English and a
Scottish coins so this is the Scottish
coin because it has one line has the
well coat of arms for Scotland and the
whistle and this was issued in to
deplane Elizabeth version come along in
1953 I believe and this is George thief
this is quite a nice nearly uncirculated
coin so probably extremely fine so you
need to put that one in a cover so it
doesn't get damaged and then we have the
Queen Elizabeth version of them so Queen
Elizabeth day and this is the English
coat of arms and this is the Scottish
like two one shillings 1962 out of
mintage of well thirty six point seven
million bit over that and the sixty
frayed forty two point three million
it's a quite a high mintage these were
not minted in 1966 in the coin packs
which over 1967 let's have a look yeah
1967 they were not minted then 1968 they
actually minted as five pence coins and
now we have D two shillings the Florence
so here we are there's a Florin 1933 so
the Florham was introduced as one tenth
of a pound and at the time they actually
wanted to decimalised the pound so this
was a 1/10 and it actually failed
because there was a lot of armed
resistance to doing it mainly probably
because I at that time they hates to add
animosity with the United States so we
have a the crown we have the coat of
arms England Scotland and Ireland
and on the back georgia fever said this
is 50% silver then we have a nice coin
from 1945 not bad so he says the
Shamrock fizzle and D rose this is a
very high-grade coin and there's only a
problem with it down the bottom there's
some scratches there and that's caused
by me because I'm an idiot and it's uh
some damage over here probably flame
damage so it's not actually caused by
circulation and they said a mintage of
about 25 million so pretty pretty common
coin probably not common in high grade
like this because not all years had
proof or uncirculated sets actually at
this time
uncirculated sets we're not really known
proof were and here is the last version
so this was the Queen Elizabeth version
not bad
1956 he has the has four planes so it's
a lake shamrock vessel and neros in the
middle so it rose in the milk just
England dominates to you for free
because it's the larger one mmm but if
you're offended by that well bad luck so
a copper nickel coin
oh and hanging out difference between
the silver and copper nickel is the
middle say the copper nickel coin have
fine milling and the silver coins are
coarse smelling because well here I have
a copper nickel 1948 oh so 1948 was the
first year copper nickel so if we put
them together so these two it the same
design
yeah so there you go that's have a
difference and well I have a two
half-crowns and as you can see this one
is silver that one is fine merely so the
actual last coin was actually used was
the half crown the crown was too big way
too much and the most likely wasn't in
circulation that often in the 20th
century definitely was
minted in huge numbers mainly for
collectors those that were minted and I
have the coat of arms so they have
Ireland Scotland and to English portions
on the shield there's an inscription in
the back which I don't know I'll have to
make another video on it and I quite
like this coin now all half-crowns
actually had this shield in various
forms and they are quite beautiful I
love it's a big coin George's v so it's
a big coin he usually has a lot of it's
image because it's large so you need it
to be circulated for quite a long time
before it's actually smooth or and it
loses a lot of its design like well like
this penny this would have circulated
quite a lot because this would have had
some value unlike the one penny now
which virtually has no value see
Victoria's head is almost smooth like a
beautiful new head okay and here I have
the 1948 version so this is the first
year of the copper nickel version this
one has a mintage of 71 million the that
one the 1916 at twenty nine point five
million bit over these are rounded
estimates because I don't want to say
too whole lot and it has the four
portions of the crane after coat of arms
George the six not bad any last one
which is pretty high grade 1936 but at
seventeen point six million minted and
these are all quite nice coins this is
Elizabeth the second as you can see some
crap on it
I'm not too sure what it is maybe it's
just maybe it could be something like
sticky tape residue or whatever or glue
as you can see this milling is quite
good so this one didn't really seem
circulation all the damage is probably
caused by past collectors including
myself II Elizabeth Regina
crown so those are my coins from the UK
that I have Oh last coins I have I
didn't get around to these is this 1877
one shilling and load of Reaper has a
number so this is number 28 and that
would have been a dye number from the
actual dye and you can get all different
numbers from 1 to 100 I think I can't
remember and this one has a mintage of
2.9 eight million which is a average
mintage in 800 1800 should I say oh and
it's Queen Victoria Victoria and last
two coins I have odd denominations so
here I have a 4 pence coin 1841 so the 4
pence was minted between 1836 and 1888
it was legal tender in the UK in British
Guinea and actually replaced the 1/8
deal during the British Guinea which is
AB Guyana now and that's in South
America just self off the Caribbean and
this one had a mintage off 445 failed
it's a 1.9 grams and 16 millimeters and
if I put the flipping coin with it it's
actually pretty much the same size as
you can stop be able to see it's
actually milled instead of the footprint
sister plane but it actually weighs a
bit more so my knees above Queen
Victoria just that the lettering is
being worn away on these coins though
it's probably woulda circulating yeah
Guyana and it would have circulated
quite a long time in the last corner
have is actually a smaller silver coin
site
I have these footprints in here I have T
1/2 inch so the 1/2 pence was in
circulation between 1835 and 1870 it was
used in so long
British Guinea you know Guyana now and a
West Indies like Barbados to have a go
of Trinidad Tobago Grenada Saint
Vincent's places like that and Mauritius
which is near Madagascar and this one
just had the value the date this 1835 at
the mintage of six hundred and thirty
four thousand needs point seven one gram
so it's only half the weight of his
footprints and he said liver millimeters
it is playing on the side and it's this
is George the fourth your great
I like this coins no I bag poin so yeah
those are my UK coin collection let me
know what you think and let me know if
you actually watch your favorite UK coin
maybe I'll put a poll up in the corner
so you can tell me and or leave a
comment down below telling me what your
favorite UK coin is because yeah quite a
lively history video haven't got any
older
penny coins like the anglo-saxon penny
anyway please give this video thumbs up
if you like United Kingdom coins and
then subscribe to my channel so I can
show you more about coin collecting
everyday thank you very much of people
have awesome coin collecting time
bye-bye
