Waching daily Sep 6 2018

There's storage out the wazoo I didn't expect it to hold as much as it did I

mean I knew it was a big piece of furniture but the amount of items that I

was able to put in here is just crazy I mean I have probably enough

projects in this thing for the next six months I probably won't use them in the

next six months I'll probably keep adding to it but I have enough there to

keep me busy hey y'all it's Betsy from cutting corners vinyl in Nederland Texas

a lot of the videos that you will see on our channel is on how to use HTV which

is heat transfer vinyl for whenever you're making t-shirt as well as an

adhesive vinyl from when you're making stickers and signs and all that fun kind

of stuff and we go through the whole complete process of whether it be how to

lay it out on your computer what types of programs I like the best

plus I go over reviews of like the Cricut easy press some of the more basic

presses that they have on Amazon which I'll tell you're pretty good quality so

mainly just stuff like that before I had the work box I had one of the

little IKEA calyx units the little four square ones sitting back here that had

like some pictures and just stuff in cubbies and then I have a dresser over

here that had just had stuff stuffed in cubbies I had everywhere you looked

around here there was stuff stuffed in cubbies and I really enjoy being able to

see everything because I have this bad problem if I can't see it I will go

repurchase it so I mean if you look I have two or three tubes of the same

color paint because I couldn't find it or glitters the same thing if I didn't

know that I had it I'd just go purchase it again at least this way I can see

everything that I got the LED light that is in here is nice

and powerful so it gives you that down light so you're not getting a lot of

harsh shadows without having a big extra light so if you had a smaller youtube

channel and you just had that in a ring light that would give you enough

lighting to make your videos nice and crisp without spending a fortune and

buying you know 30 sets of lights I also like that I can put all my color pencils

and markers and sharpies and pins because I have an obsession with office supplies I

don't know and I don't really don't ever use them but I love gel pens so I like to

be able to see what I have. Everybody that comes in here I'm like you have to

see this it is absolutely amazing I mean for the small home crafter to be able

to close everything up and keep especially for if you have kids I mean

most craft furniture that you buy and a lot of people go to Ikea and purchase

things like that you can't close it up if that mess is

always out there. One of my friends tagged me in a post of one of the videos

where they were opening it up and I was like oh my goodness that's so cool and then

I had customers asking well how do you store your stuff and what do you

recommend and so I was like well that looks like something fun to try I like

to have the things around me that make me happy

you

Eminem, Linkin Park & Alan Walker - Legends Never Die (Letra e Tradução) - Remix | AMV - Duration: 2:50.

Legends never die

when the world is calling you

Can you hear them screaming out your name?

Legends never die

When I pretend everything is what I want it to be

I look exactly like what you always wanted to see

When I pretend I can forget about the criminal I am

Stealing second after second

Just cause I know I can

But I can't pretend this is the way it'll stay

I'm just trying to bend the truth

I can't pretend I'm who you want me to be

So I'm

Lying my way from you (you)

Legends never die

Cause sometimes I feel like it's so hard

For me to come up with shit to say (to say)

Legends never die

I'm at a loss for words 'cause y'all already said it all

I think I'm runnin' out of cliches

Legends never die

Cause sometimes I feel like it's so hard

For me to come up with shit to say (to say)

Legends never die

I'm at a loss for words 'cause y'all already said it all

I think I'm runnin' out of cliches

Legends never die

They're written down in eternity

But you'll never see the price it costs,

the scars collected all their lives

When everything's lost, they pick up their hearts

and avenge defeat

Before it all starts, they suffer through harm

just to touch a dream

Oh, pick yourself up 'cause

Legends never die

Cause sometimes I feel like it's so hard

For me to come up with shit to say (to say)

Legends never die

I'm at a loss for words 'cause y'all already said it all

I think I'm runnin' out of cliches (out of cliches)

Legends never die

Cause sometimes I feel like it's so hard

For me to come up with shit to say (to say)

Legends never die

I'm at a loss for words 'cause y'all already said it all

I think I'm runnin' out of cliches

Legends never die

When the world is calling out your name

Begging you to fight

This isn't what I wanted to be

I never thought that what I said

Would have you running from me like this

This isn't what I wanted to be

I never thought that what I said

Legends never die

Cause sometimes I feel like it's so hard

For me to come up with shit to say (to say)

Legends never die

I'm at a loss for words 'cause y'all already said it all

I think I'm runnin' out of cliches

Cause sometimes I feel like it's so hard

Fiancé Visa Interview Questions: Insights For Success At Your K-1 Visa Interview (Part 1) - Duration: 10:32.

In this video I'd like to explore

what happens at a fiancé visa interview abroad.

There are certain areas that are going to be explored,

and this video is going to help you get ready for that interview.

Let's get started.

At your visa interview,

there's going to be a bunch of questions.

Nothing is really off-limits.

For simplicity's sake, I've broken them down into certain categories.

This is the first of two videos,

simply because I don't want to overload you

with too much information in one video.

Take a little bit in now,

take a break, come back and watch the second video,

and you'll see a whole different set of questions.

In this video, I'm going to quickly go over four questions.

"How You Met",

"Your Engagement And Wedding",

"General Knowledge", and "Employment".

Now what you have to remember is a fiancé visa interview

is really about preventing fraud.

Under the current administration,

there is even a more rigorous approach

to interviewing individuals who are seeking any kind of immigration benefit.

Certainly, a fiancé visa is on this administration's hit list,

that they want to make sure that whoever they give permission to enter the United States

in the hopes of getting married

is a legitimate, is a person who is involved in a legitimate relationship,

a legitimate love relationship,

and that there will be a marriage soon to follow.

Because as you know,

when you apply for a fiancé visa,

if you're granted, you have 90 days to come to the United States and get married.

So, of course, one of the first questions

is going to be "How You Met".

So how did you meet?

Did you meet online?

Did the American fiancé go to the country

of the immigrant fiancé

and was either on a vacation or was on a company visit

or company business,

or went to see some relatives

who also live in that country

and somehow was introduced to the fiancé?

Or was it perhaps an introduction made online,

through the internet with a dating service?

Now that's fine, but you're going to have to show that,

if that that's how the relationship started.

How did you start corresponding with each other?

How did you start communicating with each other?

How often do you correspond?

How do you correspond?

How do you communicate?

And, of course, have you met in person?

How many times have you met in person,

and where? What types of things that you do?

How long were the visits?

Did you go outside?

Did she come to the United States?

Did he come to the United States?

Or, did you go to her country,

or did you go to his country?

How long were the visits?

How frequent were they?

Those are questions that are going be very relevant here

on how you met and how the relationship developed.

At what point did you finally say, "I'd like to marry you."?

And that the discussion evolved in that direction.

The second question, and that's where the second area

comes into play here.

"Engagement And Wedding."

When did the relationship turn romantic?

Was it online and were there emails going back and forth

and suddenly someone proposed?

Or was it during one of the trips either to the immigrant fiancé's country,

or here in the United States,

when the two of you stared at each other

eyeball to eyeball and someone said,

"You know what, I'd like to get married.

I want to marry you."

How did it occur?

How did it happen?

Was anybody else there, friends, family?

Do you have plans for the wedding?

Remember with a fiancé visa,

when you enter the United States,

within 90 days you're supposed to get married.

What are the wedding plans?

Is it going to be at a hall?

Is it just going be at a courthouse?

Is the American fiancé going to fly

to the immigrant fiancé's country

and engage in some type of pre-marriage ceremony,

pre-marriage celebration,

because the immigrant's sponsor certain traditions

that they still want to adhere to,

prior to coming to the United States and getting married?

Is his or her parents going to fly to the United States

to be there for the wedding?

I had a couple once where the family members came

to the wedding through Skype.

They were there via Skype.

They were live.

They participated.

Everyone could hear them.

They were on a big screen,

and they fully participated in the wedding here.

Now on to "General Knowledge",

what do you know about each other?

What's his full name?

What's her full name?

Has he been married before?

Has she been married before?

Has he been divorced?

Has she been divorced?

Does he have any brothers or sisters?

What are his parents' names?

Are his parents alive?

Does she have any brothers or sisters?

Are her parents alive?

General information that couples would know about each other,

very important.

And, they are very likely to probe,

because if you're engaged in a serious relationship,

common sense would seem to dictate

that you have shared some of this stuff about each other's family.

"Well, get ready for my mother,

she is really, really strict on this.

We're going have a hard time explaining this."

You share things like this

at the beginning of the relationship.

That's quite common.

What are your fiancé's hobbies?

What are their interests?

What hobbies and interests do you share?

Does your fiancé like going to movies, theater?

Do they participate in any activities,

either the fiancé in their home country or the

U.S. citizen fiancé here?

What types of things do they like?

What types of things do you share?

What types of things are you both going to engage in?

Which, lead us into a fourth area.

Of course, "Employment".

What do you know about your fiancé's history of employment?

Especially the immigrant spouse

being asked that about the U.S. fiancé,

future spouse.

Do you know where he or she works?

Do you know his or her salary?

Do you know his or her career goals?

Do you know if he or she went to college?

Do you know if he or she has other children

from another relationship they have to support?

How many days does your fiancé work?

Do they own their own business?

The same question can be asked the other way.

Has the immigrant fiancé gone to college?

Does the immigrant fiancé have a career?

Does the immigrant fiancé speak enough English?

Are they fluent enough in English

that they can continue their career here?

Do they have children?

Do they have a previous marriage and divorce,

and that they're going to have to be sending some support home?

What's your fiancé's salary

that she is going to be giving up or he is going to be giving up,

to come to the United States?

Those are all relevant questions,

and they're all ripe.

Now, in the questionnaire checklist that I'm providing at the end of this video,

there are about 180 questions.

Now, I would love to think that I've covered

the most pressing questions, or that I've covered

all of the questions.

But that is impossible. Anything is fair game.

And when they're looking for fraud,

any one of these questions could branch out,

with your answer, to two or three more questions,

depending on your answer.

That's the nature of questions and answers.

So, the questionnaire guide at the end of this video

is a good, good starting point.

But it's only as good as you use it to prepare

and think about other things that you might ask.

Other things that you should know.

And it's like, it might even give you some incentive

to learn more things about your fiancé,

soon-to-be spouse,

that you would want to know about before the interview.

In any event,

I hope this video has helped you.

It's part one of a two-part series

on interview questions for your fiancé visa,

interview questions for your K-1 visa.

I hope it helps you, it guides you,

and that it brings you a step closer

to having the life together here in the United States

that you want so badly to be with in the near future,

so that you can live with the person you love

happily ever after

for the rest of your life.

With that I wish you the best of luck.

Rappers Respond to Eminem's "Kamikaze" Disses (Joe Budden, MGK + More) - Duration: 10:07.

So, Eminem, as we know, fired quite a lot of shots at quite a lot of people on his Kamikaze

album which dropped almost a week ago, and today we are gonna be looking at every rapper

who has responded so far.

I'll be telling you what they said, and my thoughts on how they handled the situation.

Some people laughed at their disses, some people were angry, and some responses were

just downright weird.

So, this is CDTVProductions, there's my social media accounts, and let's get into

this recap of every rapper so far that has responded to Eminem's disses on the Kamikaze

album.

Lil Pump

Lil Pump was targeted on the first track of the album, where Eminem used his flow from

Gucci Gang and essentially called him a Lil Wayne imitation, most likely cause of the

face tats and the "Lil" before his name.

Pump didn't have too much to say about this, but he handled it alright.

He responded with an Instagram comment under Eminem's post promoting the album, and he

said "Thanks, I deserve that", with a lovely little heart emoji at the end.

Now this is Lil Pump and it's just a comment, so it's hard to tell what the exact tone

of the comment is.

Like he could be being incredibly sarcastic, or he genuinely just might not care, but either

way I think he has bigger problems to focus on right now.

Ja Rule

Goddamn this one is a throwback, Eminem essentially killed Ja Rule many years ago, and now I guess

there's still a bit of tension there.

Now Eminem didn't actually have a new diss for Ja Rule here, he just referenced the fact

that he basically ended his career all those years ago, to make the point that he could

do it again if he needed to with someone else.

So, Ja Rule's response came on Twitter, where he said "guess that Hailie line must

be starting to hit home".

Well, in said line, you did suggest that his 7 year old daughter would grow up to be (and

I quote) a crackhead s***, so I kind of understand Eminem's frustrations.

Granted Ja Rule did say this way back in 2002, but I'm sure Eminem knows how to hold a

grudge if you go after his daughter.

I doubt this one will escalate further, but it's interesting to see that they're still

going at each other.

Lil Yachty

Now Yachty wasn't exactly dissed on the album, but I thought I'd include him anyway.

Eminem basically said that he understands why people enjoy Yachty's music and not

his own, and says that he doesn't like it cause it's just not for him.

Like I said, actually a somewhat nice bar from Eminem, and Yachty reacted accordingly.

In fact, Yachty was actually sad that Eminem didn't diss him harder, he didn't hear

the track at first because people were just tweeting him saying "Eminem dissed you",

and when he found out it wasn't much of a shot he said "that's less exciting".

I have to respect Yachty for this honestly, he's an example of someone that handled

this in an incredibly positive way, and the fact that he actually wishes Eminem went harder

on him is brilliant.

I like what Yachty had to say about this.

Some other people didn't take this approach though.

MGK

So, Eminem called Machine Gun Kelly out for tweeting that his 16 year old daughter was

"hot as fuck" in 2012, and for throwing subliminal shots at him on Tech N9ne's song

"No Reason" which came out this year.

By now, most of us know how MGK responded, he fired back with a diss track called Rap

Devil at Eminem.

Now to some level, I have to respect that, because it is an incredibly bold move, Eminem

is typically known as the guy that ends careers when it comes to beef.

MGK took a big risk here, so I really respect the strength he must need to carry those large

testicles.

As for the diss track itself, I think it was ok, it started off flaccid straight out the

gate when he kicked it off with "your f****ng beard is weird" (I don't care if he's

referencing that line in Business, that doesn't really make sense and it doesn't make the

line any less awkward), and we only ever really pick up to a semi, as MGK brings up some good

points about Eminem blackballing him from Shade 45 and calling his label about the situation,

but a lot of the lines are just weak, childish insults too.

It's an alright diss track, but you need to come with more than that if you're going

at Eminem.

Now we just have to wait and see if Em claps back, which he likely will.

Vince Staples

We don't need to talk about this one for long, cause there really doesn't seem to

be much here.

Eminem said "If I press the issue just to get the anger out /Full magazine could take

Staples out", firing a shot at Vince for calling his BET cypher trash.

Vince just responded to this by tweeting out the lyrics in which Eminem dissed him.

Um, yeah that's it, I don't know what to say, it doesn't seem like there's much

bitterness here at all so I'm sure this one was never gonna be a serious beef in the

first place.

Die Antwoord

This "beef" if you wanna call it that started in the dumbest way, with Eminem mispronouncing

Die Antwoord's name on the song Untouchable, and that's literally it.

Die Antwoord called Eminem out for this, responding with a sarcastic video on how to pronounce

their name, and Eminem fired back on Greatest, making a good point about how they're getting

mad at him trying to shout them out.

So yeah, Die Antwoord responded to this yet again with another video which is just really

weird, and seems kinda ironic in a way, with Ninja, the guy in Die Antwoord, basically

dissing Eminem with a freestyle, with lines such as "you used to rap better on drugs"

and "these kids ain't feeling your rhymes or your Botox".

It's pretty funny I guess, but I don't think it's anything people are gonna take

too seriously.

This beef is just dumb, and we really don't need it.

Joe Budden

Finally let's look at the shots at Joe Budden.

Em's shots to Budden came on the track Fall, where he poked fun at the fact that Joe was

pretty much a one hit wonder and even referenced his domestic abuse allegations.

There was a big rift created between Eminem and Budden after what Joe had to say about

Revival, and this whole situation seems to have just furthered it.

As you would expect, Joe responded on the September 5th episode of his podcast, and

he had some interesting things to say.

Perhaps the most standout statement was when Budden claimed "I've been better than

you this entire f****ng decade!".

Uhh, are we talking like, music wise Joe... because I think you're a very talented rapper,

but there's no doubt in my mind that I'd rather listen to Eminem every single day of

the week.

Saying that Eminem has "not said anything for the better part of a decade" just doesn't

seem accurate to me at all, it's not like all Eminem's albums in the past few years

have had no content whatsoever.

(Video clips).

I'd recommend watching the whole podcast too, as I only covered some highlights here.

I really don't agree with what Joe thinks here, but I like the fact that this one is

getting spicy, and this is one I can genuinely see escalating

further

and further.

MORRIGAN: Ah, your eyes finally open. Mother shall be pleased.

ELISSA: I remember you - the girl from the Wilds!

MORRIGAN: I am Morrigan, lest you have forgotten.

and we are in the Wilds, where I am bandaging your wounds.

You are welcome, by the way. How does your memory fare - do you remember Mother's rescue?

ELISSA: I remember being overwhelmed by darkspawn...

MORRIGAN: Mother managed to save you and your friend, though 'twas a close call.

What is important is that you both live.

The man who was to respond to your signal quit the field.

The darkspawn won your battle.

Those he abandoned, were massacred.

Your friend - he is not taking it well.

ELISSA: Neither am I, this is horrible!

MORRIGAN: Of that I have no doubt.

Your friend has been inconsolable since Mother told him the news.

He is outside by the fire. Mother asked to see you when you awoke.

ELISSA: Were my injuries severe?

MORRIGAN: Yes, but I expect you shall be fine. The darkspawn did nothing Mother could not heal.

ELISSA: What about Alistair - is he alright?

MORRIGAN: He is, as you are. I suppose it would be unkind to say he is being childish...?

ELISSA: *Very* unkind. Those were his friends!

MORRIGAN: And you think they would encourage his blubbering?

if so, they are not the sort of Grey Wardens the legends note...

ELISSA: Why does your mother want to see me?

MORRIGAN: I do not know. She rarely tells me her plans.

ELISSA: I have some questions, if you don't mind?

MORRIGAN: I do not mind, take your time.

ELISSA: Are we safe here? Where are the Darkspawn?

MORRIGAN: We are safe, for the moment. Mother's magic keeps the Darkspawn away.

Once you leave, 'tis uncertain what will happen. The horde has moved on, so you might avoid it.

ELISSA: Why did you mother save us?

MORRIGAN: I wonder at that myself...but she tells me nothing.

Perhaps you were the only ones she could reach.

I would have rescued your king, a king would be worth a much higher ransom than you.

ELISSA: Mmm...thanks a lot.

MORRIGAN: I am only being practical.

ELISSA: How did she manage to rescue us, exactly?

MORRIGAN: She turned into a giant bird, and plucked the two of you from atop the tower.

MORRIGAN: One in each talon.

If you do not believe that tale, then I suggest you ask Mother yourself. She may even tell you.

ELISSA: Are there any survivors besides us?

MORRIGAN: Only stragglers that are long gone. You...would not want to see what is happening

in that valley now.

ELISSA: Why did Teyrn Loghain abandon the king?!

MORRIGAN: I do not know who this Loghain even is! Perhaps ask Mother of it.

ELISSA: I think I've asked enough questions.

MORRIGAN: I agree. 'Tis time you speak with Mother, then be on your way.

(theme music plays)

MORRIGAN'S MOTHER: See? Here is your fellow Grey Warden.

ALISTAIR: You...you're alive!

(laughs in shock) I thought you were dead for sure!

ELISSA: I'm fine. I appreciate your concern.

ALISTAIR: This doesn't seem real...if it weren't for Morrigan's mother

we'd be dead on top of that tower...

MORRIGAN'S MOTHER: Do not talk about me as if I am not present, lad.

ALISTAIR: I - I didn't mean...but, but what do we call you?

You never told us your name?

MORRIGAN'S MOTHER: Names are pretty, but useless. The Chasind folk call me Flemeth.

I suppose it will do.

ALISTAIR: *The* Flemeth? From the legends?

Daveth was right. You're the Witch of the Wilds, aren't you?

FLEMETH: And what does that mean?

I know a bit of magic, and it has served you both well, has it not?

ELISSA: So...why did you save us?

FLEMETH: Well, we cannot have all the Grey Wardens dying at once, can we?

Someone has to deal with these darkspawn.

It has always been the Grey Warden's duty to unite the lands against the Blights

or did that change when I wasn't looking?

ELISSA: It changed when most of them were slaughtered.

FLEMETH: If you think small numbers make you helpless, you are already defeated.

ALISTAIR: But we were fighting the darkspawn - the king had nearly defeated them!

Why would Loghain do this?

FLEMETH: Now that is a good question.

Men's hearts hold shadows darker than any tainted creature.

Perhaps he believes the Blight is an army he can out-manoeuvre?

Perhaps he does not see that the evil behind it is the true threat.

ALISTAIR: The Archdemon.

ELISSA: What is this Archdemon exactly?

FLEMETH: It is said that long ago, the Maker sent the old gods of the ancient Tevinter Imperium

to slumber in prisons deep beneath the surface.

An Archdemon is an Old God awakened and tainted by darkspawn.

Believe that or not, history says it's a fearsome and immortal thing

and only fools ignore history.

ELISSA: Will you help us fight this blight, Flemeth?

FLEMETH: Me? I am just an old woman who lives in the Wilds.

I know nothing of Blights and Darkspawn.

ALISTAIR: Well, whatever Loghain's insanity, he obviously thinks the Darkspawn are a minor threat

We must warn everyone this isn't the case.

FLEMETH: And who will believe you?

Unless you think to convince this Loghain of his mistake.

ALISTAIR: He just betrayed his own king!

If Arl Eamon knew what he did at Ostagar, he would be the first to call for his execution!

ELISSA: Arl Eamon? The Arl of Redcliffe?

ALISTAIR: I suppose...Arl Eamon wasn't at Ostagar, he still has all his men.

And he was Cailan's uncle. I know him.

He's a good man, respected in the Landsmeet.

Of course! We could go to Redcliffe and appeal to him for help!

ELISSA: Surely there are other allies we could call on?

ALISTAIR: Of course! The treaties!

Grey Wardens can demand aid from dwarves, elves, mages and other places

they're obligated to help us during a Blight!

FLEMETH: I may be old, but dwarves, elves, mages...

this Arl Eamon and who knows what else - this sounds like an army to me.

ALISTAIR: So can we do this? Go to Redcliffe and these other places, and build an army?

ELISSA: Why not? Isn't that what Grey Wardens do?

FLEMETH: So you are set then? Ready to be Grey Wardens?

ELISSA: Yes. Thank you for everything Flemeth.

FLEMETH: No no, thank you.

You are the Grey Wardens here, not I.

Now, before you go, there is yet one more thing I can offer you.

MORRIGAN: The stew is bubbling, Mother dear, shall we have two guests for the eve, or none?

FLEMETH: The Grey Wardens are leaving shortly, girl, and you will be joining them.

MORRIGAN: Such a shame - what?!

FLEMETH: You heard me, girl.

The last time I looked, you had ears (laughs)

ELISSA: Thank you, but if Morrigan doesn't wish to join us...

FLEMETH: Her magic will be useful.

Even better? She knows the Wilds and how to get past the horde.

MORRIGAN: Have *I* no say in this?

FLEMETH: You have been itching to get out of the Wilds for years.

Here is your chance.

As for you, Wardens - consider this repayment for your lives.

ELISSA: ...Was this your idea all along?

FLEMETH: Pardon me, but I had the impression that you two needed assistance

whatever the form.

ALISTAIR: Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but...won't this add to our problems?

Out of the Wilds, she's an apostate.

FLEMETH: If you do not wish help from us illegal mages, young man

perhaps I should have left you on that tower?

ALISTAIR: Point taken.

MORRIGAN: Mother, this is not how I wanted this - I'm not even ready!

FLEMETH: You must be ready. Alone, these two must unite Ferelden against the Darkspawn.

They need you, Morrigan.

Without you, they will surely fail, and all will perish under the Blight.

Even I.

MORRIGAN: I...understand.

FLEMETH: And you Wardens, do you understand?

I give you that which I value above all in this world.

I do this because you must succeed.

ELISSA: I understand.

MORRIGAN: Allow me to get my things, if you please...

DURGEN: (barks)

MORRIGAN: I am at your disposal, Grey Wardens.

I suggest a village north of the Wilds as our first destination.

'Tis not far, and you will find much you need there.

Or if you prefer, I shall simply be your silent guide.

The choice is yours.

ELISSA: No, I prefer you speak your mind.

FLEMETH: (laughs) You will regret saying that.

MORRIGAN: Dear, sweet Mother, you are so kind to cast me out like this!

How fondly I shall remember this moment.

FLEMETH: Well I always said 'If you want something done, do it yourself.'

Or hear about it for a decade or two afterwards...

ALISTAIR: I just...do you *really* want to take her along because her *mother* says so?

ELISSA: We need all the help we can get.

ALISTAIR: I guess you're right.

The Grey Wardens have always taken allies where they could find them...

MORRIGAN: I am *so* pleased to have your approval.

ELISSA: Actually, I have some questions.

MORRIGAN: I may have answers. Ask.

ELISSA: Have you never been outside the Wilds?

MORRIGAN: From time to time. I have been to the village I mentioned.

Watched its people, and pondered what curious beings they are.

On occasion I purchased goods from the village merchants.

There I spoke with men, a little, there they stared and knew me as an outsider.

Mother wishes for me to expand the horizon of my experience beyond the Wilds

Even she was not born here.

ELISSA: Is that what you want?

MORRIGAN: What I want, is to see mountains. I wish to witness the ocean, and step into its waters...

I...want to experience a city, rather than see it in my mind

So...yes, this is what I want. Actually leaving is harder than I thought, however.

Perhaps Mother is right, it must simply be done quickly.

ELISSA: How are we going to get past the darkspawn?

MORRIGAN: The real question is how we are going to get your friend past the darkspawn, is it not?

ALISTAIR: That's true. We can sense the darkspawn. Conversely, they can sense us.

ELISSA: I don't sense any darkspawn.

ALISTAIR: You won't right away, no. It takes time.

We should be able to sneak past smaller groups, but larger ones

or particularly intelligent darkspawn will always detect us.

MORRIGAN: Mother has given me something else for them to smell instead as we pass by.

'Tis important we head out of the Wilds, however.

Not farther in.

ELISSA: The Darkspawn are camped farther in the forest?

MORRIGAN: They come from underground, like an eruption.

They broke through deep within the forest, and that is where they will be most concentrated.

ELISSA: Tell me about this village to the north.

MORRIGAN: 'Tis a small place of little consequence called Lothering.

No more than a stop upon your Imperial highway

where travellers purchase goods from local farms and smiths.

I would go more often were it not for the town's Chantry.

It makes the village particularly intolerant and unpleasant for a stranger such as me.

ALISTAIR: A Chantry? And they never in all this time thought that *maybe* you were a witch?

MORRIGAN: Of course they have! They even called out their Templars, once.

They found nothing.

ELISSA: Is there any reason to go to Lothering then?

MORRIGAN: I mention it for its tavern, where travellers gather with news from other places.

'Tis small enough that our appearance might go unnoticed.

Beyond that, 'tis close and I know the way.

ELISSA: What skills do you have, exactly?

MORRIGAN: I know a few spells...though I am nowhere near as powerful as Mother.

I have also studied History, and your Grey Warden treaties.

ALISTAIR: Can you cook?

MORRIGAN: I *can* cook, yes....

ELISSA: Nevermind him, you don't have to cook.

ALISTAIR: You missed your chance. Now it's charred rabbit from here on out.

ELISSA: Are you really Flemeth's daughter?

MORRIGAN: 'Twas she who raised me, and thus I consider her my mother, born from her womb or not

'Tis what you meant, yes?

ELISSA: I'm just...wondering her age?

MORRIGAN: She would no more tell me than you, I assure you.

ELISSA: I have no more questions.

MORRIGAN: Farewell, Mother.

Do not forget the stew on the fire, I would hate to return to a burned down hut.

FLEMETH: Bah! 'Tis far more likely you will return to see this entire area, along with my hut

swallowed up by the Blight!

MORRIGAN: I...All I meant, was...

FLEMETH: Yes, I know. Do try to have fun, dear.

LOGHAIN: And I expect each of you to supply these men.

We must rebuild what was lost at Ostagar, and quickly.

There are those that would take advantage of our weakened state if we let them.

We must defeat this darkspawn incursion, but we must do so sensibly

and without hesitation.

BANN TEAGAN: Your lordship, if I might speak?

You have declared yourself Queen Anora's regent, and claimed we must unite under your banner for our own good.

But what of the army lost at Ostagar? Your withdrawal was most...fortuitous.

(crowd gasp)

LOGHAIN: Everything I have done has been to secure Ferelden's independence

I have not shirked my duty to the throne, and neither will any of you!

TEAGAN: The Bannorn will not bow to you simply because you demand it!

LOGHAIN: Understand this - I will brook no threat to this nation from you, or anyone

QUEEN ANORA: Bann Teagan, please!

TEAGAN: Your Majesty, your father risks civil war. If Eamon were here...

ANORA: Bann Teagan, my father is doing what is best.

TEAGAN: Did he also do what was best for your husband, Your Majesty?

BANDIT LEADER: Wake up gentlemen, more travellers to attend to!

I'd guess the pretty one is the leader.

BANDIT #1: Uhhh...they don't look much like them others...

You know, uh, maybe we should just let these ones pass.

BANDIT LEADER: Nonsense. Greetings, travellers!

ALISTAIR: Highwaymen. Preying on those fleeing the darkspawn, I suppose.

MORRIGAN: They are fools to get in our way. I say teach them a lesson.

BANDIT LEADER: Now is that any way to greet someone? (tuts)

A simple 10 silvers and you're free to move on.

ELISSA: You should listen to your friend, we're not refugees.

BANDIT #1: What did I tell you? No wagons, and this one looks armed...

BANDIT LEADER: The toll applies to everyone Hanric! That's why it's a toll, and not, say, a refugee tax.

HANRIC: Ohhh! Right! Even if you're no refugee, you still got to pay!

ELISSA: You're toll collectors then?

BANDIT LEADER: Indeed, for the upkeep of the Imperial Highway! It's a bit of a mess, isn't it.

ELISSA: You're fixing the highway? I think not.

BANDIT LEADER: Not much gets past you, I see

HANRIC: It's not really a toll, we're just robbing you, see?

BANDIT LEADER: Do shut up. Even a genlock would have understood that.

ELISSA: Forget it, I'm not paying.

BANDIT LEADER: Well, I can't say I'm pleased to hear that. We have rules, you know.

HANRIC: Right, we get to ransack your corpse then. Those are the rules.

ELISSA: Do you *really* want to fight a Grey Warden?

HANRIC: Did she say she's a Grey Warden? Them ones killed the king!

BANDIT LEADER: Traitors to Ferelden, I hear. Teyrn Loghain put quite a bounty on any who are found...

HANRIC: But, aren't them Grey Wardens good? I mean, really good?

Good enough to kill a king?

BANDIT LEADER: You have a point. Well, let's forget about the toll and just leave you to your darkspawn-fighting, king-killing ways.

ELISSA: You know, the Grey Wardens *could* use a donation....

BANDIT LEADER: You don't say.

HANRIC: They's *really* good, boss, remember?

BANDIT LEADER: Well, yes...20 silvers? That's all we've collected today.

ELISSA: An *excellent* donation, thank you.

BANDIT LEADER: Then take it! Do enjoy your stay in Lothering, and all that...

ALISTAIR: Well, there it is. Lothering.

Pretty as a painting.

MORRIGAN: Ah. So you have finally decided to rejoin us, have you?

Falling on your blade in grief seemed like too much trouble, I take it?

ALISTAIR: Is my being upset so hard to understand?

Have you never lost someone important to you?

Just what would you do if your mother died?

MORRIGAN: Before or after I stopped laughing?

ALISTAIR: Right, very creepy. Forget I asked.

ELISSA: What did you want to talk about Alistair?

MORRIGAN: His navel, I suspect. He certainly has been contemplating it for long enough.

ALISTAIR: Oh, I get it. This is the part where we're shocked to discover

how you've never had a friend your entire life.

MORRIGAN: I can be friendly when I desire to, alas

desiring to be more *intelligent* does not make it so.

ALISTAIR: ...Anyway, I thought we should talk about where we intend to go first.

ELISSA: I need to look for Fergus - he might still be alive...

ALISTAIR: He was out scouting in the Wilds, wasn't he? That's what the king said.

MORRIGAN: Then attempting to look for him there would be foolish.

He is either dead, or he managed to flee to the north.

ALISTAIR: Very sensitive.

MORRIGAN: I am simply saying that it is foolish to mount a rescue

when you have no notion where this man is, and the Wilds are overrun with darkspawn!

You will either find him somewhere outside the Wilds with other survivors

or not at all.

ELISSA: That doesn't mean I shouldn't look for him!

MORRIGAN: That's exactly what it means.

You wish to do this brother of yours a service? Avenge him.

The time to look for survivors will come later.

ALISTAIR: I *think* what Flemeth suggested is the best idea.

These treaties - have you looked at them?

ELISSA: What do you mean?

ALISTAIR: These treaties! The ones we got from Flemeth.

With these, we will be able to ask for assistance. Maybe even raise an army.

There are three main groups that we have treaties for -

the Dalish Elves, the Dwarves of Orzammar, and the Circle of Magi.

I also still think that Arl Eamon is our best bet for help

We might even want to go to him first.

ELISSA: Is there a way to contact the Grey Wardens?

ALISTAIR: Short of leaving Ferelden to seek them out,

the only place to send word to would be Weisshaupt Fortress.

And that's thousands of miles away.

ELISSA: And what do you think we should do, Morrigan?

MORRIGAN: Go after your enemy directly. Find this man Loghain, and kill him.

The rest of this business with the treaties can then be done in safety.

ALISTAIR: Yes, he certainly wouldn't see that coming

and it's not like he has the advantage of an army, and experience and-

MORRIGAN: I was asked for my opinion and I gave it.

If your wish is to come up with reasons why something *cannot* be done

we will stand here until the darkspawn are upon us.

ELISSA: Why are you leaving it up to me?

ALISTAIR: Well I don't know where we should go!

I'll do whatever you decide.

MORRIGAN: Now that is unsurprising.

ALISTAIR: Arl Eamon is a good man, but I don't know for sure he's where we should go

I'm not going to fight about it.

ELISSA: Then we need to find these people.

ALISTAIR: I can give you directions, if you like.

ELISSA: Where do we find the Circle of Magi?

ALISTAIR: That would be at their tower on Lake Calenhad, to the north.

We'll be looking for the First Enchanter, whoever that is.

ELISSA: And where would Loghain be, exactly?

ALISTAIR: If he isn't out in the field with his army, he's probably going to be at the palace in Denerim.

We can go to Denerim, but somehow I suspect that they're not going to let us just walk around.

Only a suspicion of course.

ELISSA: Where do we find the Dwarves?

ALISTAIR: We would need to speak to their king, in Orzammar.

That means heading west into the Frostback mountains, which won't be easy.

ELISSA: And where will we find the Dalish elves?

ALISTAIR: If we head eastward towards the Brecilian Forest

we should hear word of one of the clans that wanders that area.

Hopefully they will still be there.

ELISSA: Where do we find Arl Eamon?

Alistair: He'll be at Castle Redcliffe, in the far western part of Ferelden

next to the mountain passes.

If he isn't there, someone will be able to tell us where he is.

ELISSA: I don't need any more directions.

ALISTAIR: Then you have a plan?

ELISSA: I'm ready to get going.

ALISTAIR: Fair enough. Let's head into the village whenever you're ready.

MORRIGAN: I have a wonder, Alistair - if you will indulge me?

ALISTAIR: Do I have a choice?

MORRIGAN: Of the two of you that remain, are you not the senior Grey Warden here?

I find it curious that you allow another to lead while you follow.

ALISTAIR: You find that curious, do you?

MORRIGAN: In fact, you defer to a new recruit...

is this the policy of the Grey Wardens, or simply a personal one?

ALISTAIR: What do you want to hear, that I prefer to follow?

I do.

MORRIGAN: You sound so very defensive...

ALISTAIR: Couldn't you crawl into a bush somewhere... and die?

VILLAGER: We were lucky, we had the coin to pay the toll to those bandits...

many didn't.

TEMPLAR: You there! If you're looking for safe shelter, I'll warn you

there's none to be found.

Move on if you can, Lothering's lost.

ELISSA: What do you mean?

TEMPLAR: We've had refugees streaming from the south for the last two days

The Chantry and tavern are full to bursting.

There simply isn't enough food to go around

and we Templars can barely keep order.

You'd be better off elsewhere, my friend.

ELISSA: Are you keeping me from going in?

TEMPLAR: I'm just warning you - things may not be as hospitable as you'd expect.

People are frightened.

ELISSA: Is anyone in charge here?

TEMPLAR: The Bann has marched north with Teyrn Loghain.

So Lothering's on its own.

Most folks look to Elder Miriam, otherwise you could speak to Ser Bryant in the Chantry, I suppose

It's up to you.

VILLAGER: A few knights have come through here searching for some holy artifact.

Not one of them stopped to help!

ALISTAIR: It's just a guess, but I'm thinking everyone in Lothering

is aware of the approaching darkspawn horde.

CHANTER DEVONS: And I lean spoke unto the masses

'My hearth is yours. My bread is yours. My life is yours.

For all who walk in the sight of the Maker, are one.'

ELISSA: Uh, greetings?

CHANTER DEVONS: (chuckles)

(chuckles again)

ELISSA: ...You don't talk much, do you?

CHANTER DEVONS: Let all repeat the Chant of Light!

Only the Word dispels the darkness upon us.

BOY: He can't answer you, he's Chanter Devons.

ELISSA: What's a Chanter?

BOY: One of them that can only say the Chant of Light.

His board has letters of good deeds to be doing - my father fixed Widow Alison's roof once!

And the Chanter paid him he did!

CHANTER DEVONS: A learned child is a blessing upon his parents and unto the Maker.

ELISSA: It's like a vow of silence, then? He can't talk normally?

BOY: Unless it's the Chant of Light, no.

CHANTER DEVONS: And so Rajmael in the heathen temple recanted

'Speak only the Word, sing only the Chant

then the Golden City is thine.' spoke Andraste.

ELISSA: ...A Chanter says what?

CHANTER DEVONS: What?

ELISSA: (snickers)

BOY: Oh! You got him to speak - ha!

CHANTER DEVONS: Oh, uh...'What hath man's sin wrought'?

BOY: Oh, he cheated.

ELISSA: Farewell!

MERCHANT: Back off, I have the right to charge what I wish!

CHANTRY PRIEST: You profit from their misfortune!

I should have the Templars give away everything in your carts!

MERCHANT: You wouldn't dare! Any of you step too close to my goods and I'll-

ALISTAIR: It's so nice to see everyone working together in a crisis!

Warms the heart.

MERCHANT: Oh! You there! You look able.

Would you care to make a tiny profit helping a beleaguered businessman?

ELISSA: Is your profiteering ruffling some feathers?

MERCHANT: You could say that, yes.

ALISTAIR: The *nerve* of these people!

CHANTRY PRIEST: He is charging outlandish prices

for things people desperately need!

Their blood is filling his pockets!

MORRIGAN: 'Tis only survival of the fittest.

All of these cretins would do the same in his shoes, given the chance

MERCHANT: I have limited supplies, the people decide what those supplies are worth to them...

CHANTRY WOMAN: You bought most of your wares from these very people last week!

Now they flee for their lives, and you want to talk business?!

MERCHANT: Look, stranger - I've a hundred silvers if you drive this rabble off, starting with that priest!

I'm an honest merchant, nothing more.

ELISSA: You don't think you're being unscrupulous?

MERCHANT: Would it help these folks if they could buy no goods at all?

CHANTRY PRIEST: They spend their very last coin, because they are desperate

and this man preys upon them as surely as the bandits outside the city!

MERCHANT: Bah! I'm not arguing anymore!

Drive off this woman, and get your hundred silvers.

Otherwise I'm taking my wagon and leaving.

ELISSA: I think you can compromise and still make a profit, no?

MERCHANT: Perhaps. If that woman agrees I'm allowed to charge *something*.

CHANTRY PRIEST: Do what you must.

So long as the prices do not beggar the needy.

MERCHANT: Fine, fine. Done.

And since you don't look too needy - normal prices for you.

MORRIGAN: So! We have come to solve every squabble in the village personally.

My, but the darkspawn will be impressed.

CHANTRY PRIEST: Thank you for your generous assistance. May the Maker watch over your path.

DOOMSAYER: The legions of evil are on your doorstep!

They will feast upon our hearts! There is nowhere to run!

This evil will cover the world like a plague of locusts!

VILLAGER: Please, you're scaring the children!

DOOMSAYER: Better to slit their throats now than let them suffer at darkspawn hands!

There! One of their minions is already amongst us!

This woman bears their evil stench - can you not see the vile blackness that fills her?

ELISSA: Why don't you keep your voice down?

DOOMSAYER: I watched the black horde descend on my people, I will not be silenced!

VILLAGER: Please, stop! Somebody shut his mouth!

VILLAGER #2: But isn't he right? The Bann left us. We're going to die!

DOOMSAYER This minion is but the first of those who will destroy us!

ELISSA: Don't be a fool. Darkspawn *can* be defeated.

DOOMSAYER: No! I have seen them! You cannot run, you cannot fight!

ELISSA: Standing around and shouting won't save you.

DOOMSAYER: There is nothing to do, no hope is left!

ELISSA: We Fereldens have fought off far worse in our past.

DOOMSAYER: Are you... calling me a coward?

ELISSA: I'm calling you an idiot.

Listen to yourself for a moment!

DOOMSAYER: I...I have shamed my ancestors...but (cries) the blackness will come...

CHANTRY PRIEST: He was right, wasn't he? There's no hope for us.

ELISSA: There's always hope. Muster your courage!

CHANTRY PRIEST: You're right. We can't give up.

VILLAGER #2: But we can't fight! What are we supposed to do?

VILLAGER: We can't lie down and die, either!

We must go north to Denerim.

SER BRYANT: There's word of darkspawn stragglers, but no sign of the main horde

We are the only hope of protection this village has now, and I will not abandon it.

That is all. May the Maker have mercy on us.

Yes, my lady? Who might you be?

ELISSA: You can call me Elissa.

SER BRYANT: I am Ser Bryant, Commander of Lothering's remaining Templars.

You don't seem like the other refugees...

Are you one of Arl Eamon's knights?

ELISSA: I'm a Grey Warden, actually.

SER BRYANT: I...see.

Teyrn Loghain declared all Grey Wardens traitors, responsible for the King's death.

You know this, I hope?

ELISSA: The Grey Wardens did no such thing.

SER BRYANT: I don't believe the Grey Wardens would be as careless or malicious as the Teyrn claims

But either way, there it is.

It is best you not linger, though.

Just...in case.

ELISSA: About those bandits outside the village...

SER BRYANT: Maker's Breath, how many times must we drive them off?

ELISSA: They're still there, last I saw.

SER BRYANT: I will not let them take any more advantage of this catastrophe.

Ser Varal, those fool bandits have returned. Take some men and drive them off

and see if you can't capture that leader of theirs this time.

SER VARAL: As you command, Ser Bryant.

SER BRYANT: Now, unless there's something else you need?

ELISSA: Things seem very dire in the village.

SER BRYANT: They are. With the Bann having taken his men north, the village is left to its fate.

We will evacuate as many as we can before the horde reaches us.

I will stay as long as I am needed. Now, unless there's something else you need...?

ELISSA: I should go.

SER BRYANT: Travel safely...and may the Maker watch over you.

(Chant of Light being spoken in the background)

CHANTRY PRIEST: It's terrible, so many come to Lothering seeking refuge

only to find that we can offer little more than prayer.

Does the Maker see our plight?

Is he moved by this destruction?

I apologise. The Maker's plan is too grand for me to fathom, especially at times like this.

ELISSA: What are those priests chanting exactly?

CHANTRY PRIEST: The Chant of Light? Surely you know it?

ELISSA: I've never heard it sung quite like this...

CHANTRY PRIEST: Perhaps you haven't heard these verses before?

The entire Chant takes weeks to sing, and is only done straight through

at the Grand Cathedral in Val Royeux.

Here, we can only sing a few verses per week, and finish anew each First Day.

ELISSA: Tell me more about the Chant of Light.

CHANTRY PRIEST: When the prophet Andraste was burned by the Magisters

the Maker turned away from his creations

We gain his forgiveness by spreading Andraste's teachings

The Maker will return when the Chant is sung from the four corners of the world.

ELISSA: That seems like an excuse to spread the Chanty's influence...

CHANTRY PRIEST: Would you see someone's soul denied the Maker's light

just for the misfortune of having been born outside of the Chantry's influence?

Everyone deserves redemption, my friend.

ELISSA: I should go.

CHANTRY PRIEST: May the Maker watch over you.

(Chant of Light being spoken in the background)

CHANTRY MOTHER: Will you be making a donation to the Chantry, my friend?

You look like you have salvaged more of value than most who make it here.

ELISSA: I have nothing to offer.

CHANTRY MOTHER: I understand. Not all are wealthy enough to spare even a few coins for the Maker's favour.

What can I do for you then?

ELISSA: I am a Grey Warden. I need your help.

CHANTRY MOTHER: A Grey Warden? Here? Oh dear.

You put me in a difficult position. You must know that

Teyrn Loghain declared the Grey Wardens to be outlaws?

ELISSA: So I've heard. But it is *Loghain* who betrayed the King!

CHANTRY MOTHER: Teyrn Loghain? That is as hard for me to believe

as his condemnation of the Wardens.

There is a price on your head. Lay low, and I promise to keep your presence a secret.

That is the best I can do.

Now, if there is nothing else?

ELISSA: Can you provide any help to the Grey Wardens at all?

CHANTRY MOTHER: I cannot help you without risking the safety of this village and Chantry.

The best I can do is keep your presence a secret.

I am sorry.

Now, if there is nothing else...?

ELISSA: Perhaps I should go.

CHANTRY MOTHER: May the Maker guard you, Grey Warden.

BOY: Have you seen my mother?

ELISSA: You poor thing, did you and your mother get separated?

BOY: Some mean men with swords came, and mother told me to run to the village as fast as I could

so I did! She said she'd be right behind me, but I've been waiting and waiting

and I can't see her!

ELISSA: Do you know where your father is?

BOY: He went with William to the neighbours yesterday, but he didn't come back!

ELISSA: I don't think she's coming, child.

BOY: Why not? Why would she leave me here?

ELISSA: I don't think she meant to leave you.

BOY: But she must be coming!

ELISSA: Come with me. I'll...help you look for your mother.

BOY: Mother said I wasn't to go with anyone! I'm supposed to wait for her here, in the village.

ELISSA: Go to the Chantry, child. Someone will look after you.

BOY: I will, but only if I don't find Mother first.

You're a really nice lady, kind of like Mother! I should go look for her.

MORRIGAN: So I take it you did not enjoy your Templar training?

ALISTAIR: That's directed at me, I take it?

MORRIGAN: Do you see any others about who have failed at their religious instruction?

ALISTAIR: I didn't fail, I was recruited into the Grey Wardens.

MORRIGAN: And if you had not been recruited, what would have happened instead?

ALISTAIR: I would have turned into a drooling lunatic, slaughtered the Grand Cleric

and run through the streets of Denerim in my smallclothes, I guess.

MORRIGAN: Your self-awareness does you credit.

ALISTAIR: I thought you'd like that.

MAN: Well, look what we have here then.

I think we've just been blessed.

ALISTAIR: Uh-oh, Loghain's men.

DURGEN: (whines)

ALISTAIR: This can't be good.

LOGHAIN'S MAN #2: Didn't we spend all morning asking about a woman by this very description?

And everyone said they hadn't seen her?

LOGHAIN'S MAN #1: It seems we were lied to.

LELIANA: Gentlemen, surely there is no need for trouble?

These are no doubt simply more poor souls seeking refuge.

LOGHAIN'S MAN #1: They're more than that!

Now stay out of our way, Sister. You protect these traitors - you'll get the same as them.

ELISSA: Let's talk about this before things get out of hand.

LELIANA: I doubt he would listen, he blindly follows his master's commands.

LOGHAIN'S MAN #1: I am not the blind one!

I served at Ostagar, where the Teyrn saved us from the Grey Wardens' treachery!

I serve him gladly. Enough talk!

Take the Warden into custody. Kill the Sister, and anyone else that gets in your way.

LOGHAIN's MAN #2: Right. Let's make this quick.

LOGHAIN'S MAN #1: Alright, alright, we surrender!

LELIANA: Good, they've learned their lesson and we can all stop fighting now!

ELISSA: They Grey Wardens didn't betray the King, Loghain did!

LOGHAIN'S MAN #1: I was there! The Teyrn pulled us out of a trap!

ELISSA: The Teyrn left the King to die!

LOGHAIN'S MAN #1: The Wardens led the King to his death, the Teyrn could do nothing!

ELISSA: Take a message to Loghain.

LOGHAIN'S MAN #1: Wh-what do you want to tell him?

ELISSA: He'll pay for what he's done.

We're coming for him.

LOGHAIN'S MAN #1: I'll tell him! Right away, now! Thank you!

LELIANA: I apologise for interfering, but I couldn't just sit by and not help.

ELISSA: I appreciate what you tried to do.

LELIANA: I am glad you found it in your heart to offer those men mercy.

Let me introduce myself - I am Leliana.

One of the lay Sisters of the Chantry here in Lothering.

Or I was.

ELISSA: I'm Elissa. A pleasure.

LELIANA: Those men said you're a Grey Warden. You will be battling the darkspawn, yes?

That is what Grey Wardens do. I know after what happened, you will need all the help you can get.

That's why I'm coming along.

ELISSA: Why so eager to come with me?

LELIANA: The Maker told me to.

ELISSA: Can you...elaborate?

LELIANA: I...I know that sounds absolutely insane, but it's true!

I had a dream! A vision!

ALISTAIR: More crazy? I thought we were all full up.

LELIANA: Look at the people here. They are lost in their despair, in this darkness, this chaos will spread!

The Maker doesn't want this. What you do...what you are *meant* to do, is the Maker's work.

Let me help.

ELISSA: Very well. I will not turn away help when it is offered.

MORRIGAN: Perhaps your skull was cracked worse than Mother thought.

LELIANA: Thank you. I appreciate being given this chance.

I will not let you down.

DENAL: You going to make more trouble? We've got about all we can stand in Lothering now.

ELISSA: Sorry about the mess...

They had it coming. And they were trouble enough themselves! So long as you don't start more, I won't get excited.

Right then, name's Denal. Sorry I can't chat much - as you see, we've a full house.

ELISSA: Who were those men I fought, exactly?

DENAL: When Teyrn Loghain marched by, he left those fellas behind to look for Grey Wardens.

I suppose that's you.

ELISSA: Of course not!

DENAL: Fair enough... what can I get you then?

ELISSA: Have you heard any rumours?

DENAL: There's knights from Redcliffe wandering the countryside

looking for the place where Andraste's sacred ashes are said to lie.

Can you believe that? The urn holding her ashes is a myth.

And yet these knights say they were sent to find it anyhow, to heal Arl Eamon.

I didn't even know he was ill!

Maybe he has the Blight? If so, then times are even darker for Ferelden than any of us thought.

Anything else I can get you?

ELISSA: I'll be going.

DENAL: Luck speed your way.

STEN: (speaking Qunari)

STEN: You aren't one of my captors.

I will not amuse you any more than I have the other humans. Leave me in peace.

ELISSA: What are you?

STEN: A prisoner. I'm in a cage, am I not? I've been placed here by the Chantry.

LELIANA: The Revered Mother said he slaughtered an entire family. Even the children.

STEN: It is as she says.

I am Sten of the Beresaad.

The vanguard of the Qunari peoples.

If you haven't heard of us, that is your own shortcoming.

Though it matters little now. I will die soon enough.

MORRIGAN: This is a proud and powerful creature, trapped as prey for the darkspawn.

If you cannot see a use for him, I suggest releasing him for mercy's sake alone.

ALISTAIR: Mercy? I wouldn't have expected that from you.

MORRIGAN: I would also suggest that Alistair take his place in the cage.

ALISTAIR: Yes, *that's* what I would have expected.

STEN: I suggest you should leave me to my fate.

ELISSA: Are you guilty?

STEN: Are you asking if I feel guilt, or if I'm responsible for the deed?

However I feel, whatever I've done, my life is forfeit now.

ELISSA: Who did you murder?

STEN: The people of a farmhold. Eight humans. In addition to the children.

ELISSA: That's...horrible.

STEN: I agree.

ELISSA: Capturing you must have been difficult.

STEN: There is no difficulty in capturing prey that surrenders.

ELISSA: You didn't resist capture?

STEN: I waited for several days until the knights arrived.

ELISSA: Why?

STEN: Because I wished to.

ELISSA: What an odd thing to do...

STEN: Either you have an enviable memory, or a pitiable life to know nothing of regret.

ELISSA: How long have you been here?

STEN: Twenty days now.

I shouldn't last much longer, another week at most.

ELISSA: That's a long time to live without food or water.

STEN: Compared to your kind, maybe.

ELISSA: Aren't you interested in seeking atonement?

STEN: Death will be my atonement.

ELISSA: There are other ways to redeem yourself...

STEN: Perhaps.

What does your wisdom say is equal to my crime?

ELISSA: You could help me defend the land against the Blight.

STEN: The Blight? Are you a Grey Warden then?

ELISSA: Yes. I am.

STEN: Surprising. My people have heard legends of the Grey Warden's strength and skill.

Though I suppose not every legend is true.

ELISSA: Would the Revered Mother let you free?

STEN: Perhaps if you told her the Grey Wardens need my assistance.

It seems as likely to bring my death as waiting here.

ELISSA: I'll leave you for now.

STEN: Farewell then.

LELIANA: To be left here to starve, or to be taken by the darkspawn?

No-one deserves that.

Not even a murderer.

REVERED MOTHER: Good day, Sister Leliana.

I'm surprised to see you're still in Lothering.

LELIANA: It is good to see you as well, your Reverence.

REVERED MOTHER: Is there something I can do for you then?

ELISSA: I want to talk about Sten, the Qunari you imprisoned.

REVERED MOTHER: It might have been kinder to execute him, but I leave his fate to the Maker.

He butchered an entire farmhold.

Only one of the youngest hid long enough to survive.

The child said his father had found the Qunari gravely wounded, and had took him in.

That kindness was repaid with murder.

The Bannsmen found the Qunari just...standing amidst the carnage.

He did not resist them.

ELISSA: What would make him do such a thing?

REVERED MOTHER: He would not say, though he acknowledged his guilt.

Even the seasoned knights who apprehended him were disturbed by the carnage.

However docile he appears, do not be fooled.

That Qunari is a danger.

ELISSA: What if this causes an 'incident' with his people?

REVERED MOTHER: The Maker demands justice, regardless of his race.

ELISSA: I was thinking...you might release him into my custody.

REVERED MOTHER: Then his next victims might count you and me as their murderers

ELISSA: Is there any way I can convince you to release him?

REVERED MOTHER: And what do you say on this, Leliana?

You know your friend better than I.

LELIANA: These are...unusual times, your Reverence.

With us, the Qunari might do some good - I am sure of it, in fact.

REVERED MOTHER: Were things not so desperate...

Very well. I trust you.

Take these keys to his cage, and Maker watch over you.

LELIANA: Thank you, your Reverence.

Your trust is not misplaced.

MORRIGAN: Have a care where your eyes linger, Alistair.

ALISTAIR: Yes, well don't worry - it's not what you think.

MORRIGAN: I see.

ALISTAIR: I was looking at your nose.

MORRIGAN: And what is it about my nose that captivates you so?

ALISTAIR: I was just thinking that it looks *exactly* like your mother's.

MORRIGAN: I hate you *so* much.

ALISTAIR: Hmm? What?

MORRIGAN: Nevermind!

STEN: You wish something more of me?

ELISSA: I have the key to open your cage.

STEN: I confess, I did not think the priestess would part with it.

ELISSA: She agreed to release you into my custody.

STEN: So be it.

Set me free and I will follow you against the Blight.

ELISSA: So, how can you help us exactly?

STEN: I have spent my life in the Vanguard. I know war.

And your lands need all the help they can get.

ELISSA: Very well, I'll let you out.

STEN: And so it is done.

I will follow you into battle.

In doing so, I shall find my atonement.

ELISSA: Thank you, Sten. Glad to have you with us.

STEN: May we proceed? I am eager to be elsewhere.

VILLAGER: We done heard what was said - you're a Warden.

I dunno if you killed King Cailan, and Maker forgive me, I don't care.

But that bounty on your head could feed a lot of hungry bellies.

Attack!

MORRIGAN: You will learn to fear me!

ALISTAIR: For the Grey Wardens!

???: Someone help us!

MORRIGAN: It's your time to die!

ALISTAIR: Attack!

MORRIGAN: Tear them apart!

(darkspawn snarling)

BODAHN: Mighty timely arrival there my friend, I'm much obliged!

ELISSA: You're welcome!

BODAHN: Name's Bodahn Feddic, merchant and entrepreneur!

This here's my son, Sandal. Say hello, my boy!

SANDAL: Hello!

BODAHN: Road's been mighty dangerous these days, mind if I ask what brings you out here?

Perhaps we're going the same way?

ELISSA: It's a bit...complicated, but you're welcome to come along.

BODAHN: Complicated? (laughs) Somehow I imagine that only says half of it!

Thank you for the offer, there may be more excitement on your path

than is good for my boy and me.

Allow me to bid you farewell, and good fortune.

SANDAL: Goodbye!

BODAHN: Now then! Let's get this mess cleaned up, shall we?

(Archdemon roaring)

DURGEN: (barks)

ALISTAIR: Bad dreams, huh?

ELISSA: It seemed so real...

ALISTAIR: Well, it is real. Sort of.

You see, part of being a Grey Warden is being able to hear the darkspawn

That's what your dream was.

Hearing them.

The Archdemon, it...'talks' to the horde.

And we feel it just as they do. That's why we know this is really a Blight.

ELISSA: The Archdemon? Is that the dragon?

ALISTAIR: I don't know if it's really a dragon, but it sure looks like one.

But yes, that's the Archdemon.

It takes a bit, but eventually you can block the dreams out.

Some of the older Grey Wardens say they can understand the Archdemon a bit, but I sure can't.

Anyhow, when I heard you thrashing around, I thought I should tell you.

It was scary at first for me too.

ELISSA: Thank you, Alistair.

I appreciate it.

ALISTAIR: That's what I'm here for!

To deliver unpleasant news, and witty one-liners.

Anyhow, you're up now, right?

Let's pull up camp and get a move on.

3 Rules for Your Creative Business - Duration: 10:48.

three things you need to take your

creative business into a sustainable

career. I'm Matt Abraxas and I run my own

creative business. I have run creative

businesses for about twenty years now.

Being an artist, filmmaker and now

running a video production company. my light

is bad right there. And in all this time

I have learned a few things about how

you manage running your own creative

business. there are three things that I'm

going to lay out that are really

essential to managing your own creative

business. by the way, I'm gonna reference

a few things in this video so they will

be in the description down below and if

I missed anything, please let me know. so,

take care of you. here's the thing, you

are your business, so if you aren't

taking care of you, you're not taking

care of your business. the way you take

care of yourself, well that's

different for everybody, but you do have

to find whatever method, whatever

techniques, whatever disciplines are

really going to support you being in

the best state possible to run your

creative business. now a lot of artists

have this identity that you have

to sacrifice yourself your health for

your art but if you're trying to run a

business and make that business

successful that's not gonna always work

however you take care of yourself it can

be a lot of things for me I meditate

every morning we go to gym most days of

the week and I relish in a few things

that I really really love like coffee

and it's very crucial that you find

things to enjoy you know you got to keep

the creative spirit alive and that this

pure creative feel the main thing is

doing something that you feel good about

improves your state of mind and that is

going to improve your business taking

care of you you are the foundation of

your business you are the business you

have to do whatever you can to put you

in a state of successful productivity

it's time to get to work that was the

audio in here it's very loud

number two know your work ethic I don't

mean just have a work ethic or have a

great work ethic I mean know your work

ethic really know what it is really dig

down into what is the story that you

tell yourself around work and work ethic

for example do you not really like to

work that hard but you also think you

have to work hard to be successful if

you have contradicting beliefs one

saying that you have to work hard to be

successful and the other saying that you

don't want to ever work that hard then

yeah you're not going to really move

forward those beliefs will start to rule

each other out the answer to this is

well I mean one is to simply change the

beliefs the other option is to

compromise the beliefs so in this

example of you know working hard and not

wanting to work hard so you you kick ass

a little while and then you treat

yourself you give yourself a break it's

like the slow carb diet where you have a

your strict diet routine for six days

and then you have one day which is a

cheat day it instills a little bit of

the failure which you may hit anyways

you may hit that failure so you might as

well planned playing in schedule in a

little bit of failure and

it helps you reach those shorter

milestones of success and a long-term

far more success oh that makes sense

so glad to be home number three

implement systems now what I mean by

this is creating structures that you can

fall back on that you know now how

certain aspects of your business is run

certain things are scheduled certain

tasks may be outsourced you can delegate

a lot of different things and I know for

a lot of creative people this can't be a

big challenge big part of what makes you

created is being just the opposite of

scheduling you're also going to have to

learn how to work in the business and on

the business it's a really good book I

recommend it's called making money is

killing your business yeah sort of this

by Chuck Blakeman as for social media

promo republic promo Republic is an

Instagram social media scheduling

platform you put in all the stuff that

you want to dish out over however long a

week two weeks and months of whatever

you just got to spend a little bit of

time getting it all ready and then it

sends it out another book extremely

recommended is the one thing this book

like the title says will help you narrow

down what you do to keep it focused down

to one thing now this is especially

important for creative types one of our

biggest flaws and our strengths but at

the same time is to get very excited

about a lot of different things downside

to this is that we get distracted we get

pulled in two different directions we

get very excited about every little

shiny object and one thing that we were

doing that can really work well for us

dilute that or or completely forget

about it and it's really hard then to

move forward so a lot of times it is

great then to just learn how to put the

blinders on focus on the one thing that

you're doing now what are the systems

that you really need to have set in

place is every time you collect some

money take a percentage and that goes

back into your business now this can

cover a lot of different things

business upgrades we've got a cloud

storage account but another thing that

really really always push for everybody

path is have a video created for your

business or a series of videos and get

it in some paid advertising with things

like Facebook and YouTube you can really

target that video to a very specific

demographic whoever you think is most

likely going to be an interested client

to you it is pretty cheap to do this so

and it is so laser focused it just does

not make sense to not do this there is

this company who I like a lot they will

take a video that is set up as a

pre-roll video advertisement these are

the videos that play before the video

that you want to watch and you have to

usually wait a little bit then you can

click skip and you can use this service

they're fairly inexpensive like really

very very inexpensive for advertising

and they can place it not only on

Facebook not only on YouTube on all the

other social media but also on websites

that you normally would never be able to

get your ad out on you know go to the

people who most likely well buy from you

so

that is part of your full system your

full structure that you need to have in

place remember you're working in your

business and you're working on your

business in another book anything in

business as far as I'm concerned cannot

be spoke about without looking at Tim

Ferriss 4-hour workweek

along with this I would say for our body

and for our for our chef especially with

the first thing that I was saying about

taking care of yourself but I think

that's it

take care of you because you are your

business know your work ethic know what

your story is about how you work and

implement systems work in your business

and on your business where those two

four hats

those three things are really it follow

those three things and they will launch

you into another level of managing and

running your creative business I really

hope this helps we need more successful

creative people out there watch this

subscribe over there watch that watch

that thing

O projeto para limpar a superfície dos oceanos | EXTRA MARES LIMPOS #7 - Duration: 15:27.

Interview with Joost Dubois

We develop technologies to remove plastics from the high seas.

We've developed this system of very long floating barriers with a screen underneath that reaches down

several meters, floating along with the currents in such a way that there is a pressure difference on one side of

the system to other. So the plastic that is moving around in the currents on the ocean is actually floating against

our barriers and collected because of the shape. The shape is like a horseshoe.

And then because of the pressure of the water, the current coming in, the plastic concentrates in the middle.

So it comes through a level of concentration that we can actually lift it out, bring it back on shore for recycling.

And how did the founder Boyan Slat idealized the project having only 16 years?

Yes.

Boyan was sixteen years old when he was on a vacation in Greece.

And during a dive, realized there were more plastic bags than fish that he saw.

And that made him think and that's the way the guy is, like, "why don't we clean this up?"

"Why is nobody doing something about it?" And then he started a high school project.

He needed to do a high school project so he defined this project to think of something to clean the oceans.

Rather than two weeks, It took him a year, I think, and he presented this and it got the attention from

somebody who was working at the university.

So he was invited to come and do a presentation at the university and there was somebody from the local TED,

the TEDx Delft saw him and invited him to a TEDx that was filmed, it got online and after a year it went viral.

And that is basically how it started. So it really started rolling.

And then he realized that he started something that he couldn't stop anymore.

What were the difficulties in developing this unprecedented technology?

Yeah. Something we've never done that nobody had ever done before.

Basically, to break it down into two major challenges that we had: was on the one side, what is out there?

How big is the problem, really? What does it look like?

So we went out for the mega expedition, as we called it.

We've sailed out with 30 ships, collected plastic, a massive effort to build a sample database of

plastic from the Northern Pacific.

After we'd done that, we realized that there might still be statistical challenges in extrapolating the information

that we got from these 30 boats to the entire area, which is three times the size of France, two times the size

of Texas sort of. What we did next was we rented an airplane, fitted it out with the most

advanced censoring equipment that you could think of and went over the place so you can cover

a much larger area than with the 30 boats.

And we had all these measuring points, so we use that to detect larger pieces of debris.

And putting all of that together, led to a publication that we're bringing out and scientific reports, which

will tell you or will tell the whole world, how much plastic is out there. How big is it?

What kind of plastics did we find? What is the size distribution of the plastic?

There's a lot of attention for microplastics. However, what we find is that, of the plastic in that area,

92% is bigger, so it's not microplastics. So 8%, in weight, it's microplastics and in number of pieces,

microplastics win, but in actual mass, in the amount of product that is out there, 92% is larger than five millimeters.

The other thing we did, next to identifying the problem, was the engineering of the system.

So there's a very big system we're talking about, about floaters that are one to two kilometers in size.

We're still determining the final optimal size and it shouldn't break, because you are very far away from shore.

2000 kilometers away from San Francisco, 2000 kilometers away from Hawaii.

There's nothing out there, there's no support. So if you put a system there, you should be pretty certain that it

works, that it is not breaking and that it doesn't need a lot of maintenance.

So you try to make it as simple as possible. Take out moving parts, look very carefully at all the work that

has been done on other engineering challenges and try to put something together that combines it all

and kind of withstand that situation for many years. And that's a big challenge.

We did an enormous amount of testing on scale models, on prototypes.

We put models out in the North Sea, stuff breaks, we check the ultimate limit conditions of materials

that we're using. And now we're ready. We have a full design.

We are ordering the first equipment to come into San Francisco for construction and it's going to be built.

When will it be launched?

The next stages are coming up very clear now, in April we will do a toe test in the Bay of San Francisco

with a part of the system, which is important because we need to determine at what speed we can

tow the barrier out to the great pacific garbage patch. It's a very long distance.

So even if you can do a tiny bit faster, it reduces the time of transfer enormously.

The next stage is when we're going to finalize the system. It's going to be 600 meters, 2000 feet

in length and we will tow it out to the international waters, which is 200 nautical miles away from San Francisco.

And then we'll let it go for the first time. It will float. It will be autonomous and we can validate all our

computer models that we have made to predict how the system will behave.

We hope for some weather, see how it works, how it holds up.

Maybe we get some stuff that we still need to check and adapt, take that back to shore again,

which is again, it's a long trip - two hundred miles is already taking a couple of days - make final

adjustments and then on the second half of May...

This was second half of May, that was the test and then in late July we will depart from San Francisco,

under the Golden Gate Bridge to the Great Pacific garbage patch.

Hopefully bringing back the first plastic onshore, October or November.

It's hard to predict, so we're depending on how much plastic is actually floating there, where we'll put the

system, but we're confident that by the end of the year we have proven the concept of the Ocean Cleanup.

Will the equipment also be able to capture the microplastics?

Okay. Well there's a number of things I need to tell you about this.

So first of all, our system is designed to remove plastics larger than 10 millimeters.

The definition of microplastics is smaller than 5, so we will not touch the microplastic problem.

On the other hand, as already indicated, 80, 92% - so only 8% of the product or the mass that is

around there is microplastics. So that is the portion we won't be able to capture. It's a little bit more.

It's 10% because we have the 10 millimeter break and not the 5 millimeters.

So the majority of the material we will be able to collect.

What is important is that this material is shedding microplastics as it is.

We have, for example, found a bottle crate which is about this big, It's dated back to 1977.

You can see, if you hold it, you can see that it has been in the ocean for decades and it's smells of the ocean,

it's very worn and if you rub your finger over it, you can feel that you are removing particles.

And that's exactly what's happening. So you have these big parts that are slowly moving into waves and the

little parts of plastic, the microplastics, are shedding off of these big ones. It's a mine for microplastics.

It will deliver microplastics for the coming decades before that big piece is completely gone.

So we think it's a ticking time bomb. These big parts need to be removed as soon as possible

to avoid have the continued add to the microplastic problem.

What are the goals, in terms of quantity, of plastics removal?

The system is designed to remove five tons of plastic per month.

Eventually we will remove tens of thousands of tons in total.

The maximum, because there's going to be a peak, we will ramp up our cleanup effort in two years

and then we reach a peak of removal, which will be, I cannot give you the actual number,

but it will be more than 10,000 tons a year and it then will slowly go down again because we are

removing plastics, so the efficiency per system is actually going down.

The total amount of plastic will be reported soon, so I'm keeping that a little bit of a secret,

but it's a staggering amount of material that we will remove.

Are you going to focus only on the Pacific Ocean or in the other oceans as well?

Yeah, we will start in the North Pacific for a simple reason, it's the worst place so the chance of success is highest.

And we do need success, because success will drive the funding of the follow up operations, we hope.

But after that, the ambition is definitely to go to the other gyres and put our cleanup systems there as well.

If everything goes well and we do manage also to, as a population of this planet, to reduce the influx

of plastic from the rivers and the coast into the oceans,

our calculations show we should be able to remove 90 percent of the plastic by 2040.

How did you manage to finance all this?

Yeah, we started with crowdfunding and we managed to raise a staggering $2.2 million US dollars

to start the Ocean CleanUp and by now, we have raised almost $40 million euros.

So we have continued to work on that and we are funded right now, for the first year of operation for us,

for our system, so we feel very, very confident in that.

But after that we will need to raise much, much more money. Crowdfunding alone is not gonna do it.

So we do address a lot of high net worth individuals and we have a very big network.

It's incredible how many people are concerned about the state of the oceans and apparently we were able

to convince them that what we're doing is a good destination for their money.

And I think that's an important part. The other part is that we do get a lot of support from corporations,

corporations that somehow do something that can be connected to our work either in kind or financially.

And yeah, we're very grateful for that as well.

What kind of maintenance will be needed as soon as the equipment hits the sea?

The systems, when they're out there, will be monitored by the ship who go out to collect the plastic.

And there's all kinds of measurements on the system stood that we will monitor from shore.

And then, when we get signals that something is wrong, that there's water in one of the holes or when

a system is moving to a direction where they're not supposed to go or when we noticed there's breakage

because the tension of the barrier is gone, we will send one of the ships there and go on either a repair

on the spot, which will be very hard, I mean, at the high seas, that's going to be very unlikely,

so probably then the system will have to be towed back in.

But we do, again, as I mentioned before, we do design for minimum maintenance requirements.

So we tried to make it as robust as possible. There's no moving parts, but also there's a lot of electronics with a

solar panel, solar driven electricity to power all the equipment on the system.

There's cameras, there's GPS system, so we try to be as close to them, virtually as we can, so we can send in a support ship, if necessary.

What are the risks of this system affecting marine fauna and how will you deal with it?

Very good point. That's a very good point. There's basically two big concerns that are raised.

We tried to have a very open eye for that. One of them is interaction with marine traffic, so ships that go

through the area and find their way blocked by one or multiple of our systems

and the other one is the interaction with marine life.

We are talking to marine researchers, marine biologists around world, special attention for several aspects,

whether or not the systems are going to attract a lot of fish. If that's going to be a fish aggregation device,

so there'll be like a bar for sharks to go there and then have a great lunch.

The other one is the interaction with marine mammals.

There's a whale migration along the coast and nobody exactly knows where those whales are.

That's one of the things we're finding out. And the other one is turtle, turtle migration.

When we talk to the researchers in the field, it's interesting to see that they realize it,

but what we are offering too is an observation platform in the middle of the ocean.

And so we are talking to a lot of researchers in the marine mammal and turtle field to see whether or not

we can cooperate and provide our presence in the middle of the ocean as a platform for them to do observations.

What we'll do in the first year of operation Is 24/7 for the full year observation on the spot.

So we will be there to see how the interaction of the system, if there's interaction with marine life and how

the interaction is taking place to establish whether or not there are any risks.

In the meantime, we have done a study by an independent agency, CSA Ocean Sciences, who did an

environmental impact study assessments for the systems.

Basically, the answer is that it's all expected to be negligible, but since we've never done it before,

we'd better be there, keep an eye on it and we hope that in one year we have enough data to feel

comfortable about it, that we're safe.
