(MARKER SCRATCHING)

(ELECTRONIC VIDEO GAME CHIME)

Hello.

So, today, I'm going to tell you how you can ask your favourite YouTubers

or, you know, content creators in general to caption their videos.

It's one of the most asked questions that I get.

I get messages on Instagram, on Twitter, on Facebook asking,

and so, firstly, I actually wrote an article about this on Medium

because I wasn't able to get this kind of video up yet,

so, if you want that, I'll have the link down below.

So, one of the things that you can do that will probably be the most effective, I think, maybe,

is contacting them on social media.

So, if they've got Facebook, they've got Twitter, you've got YouTube comments.

Leave them a comment, a DM, tweet, whatever,

simply asking them to caption their videos.

Sometimes, they may answer.

Sometimes, they may not.

If they don't answer or if, you know, they don't actually do any sort of captioning,

feel free to leave another comment.

Don't do it, like, every single day, every single hour.

Basically, don't spam them because they're probably gonna get annoyed by it

and then, when that happens, they don't really want to do anything.

But, if it's been a couple of months, give it, like, two months at the very least,

send them again.

Another thing is send them an email.

Most of the time, YouTubers have their business emails up.

It might go to them personally or it might go to their manager first

but captions are a business thing.

They're a part of accessibility.

They're a part of YouTube.

YouTube is business so it's more than justified.

Don't send people fan mail to their business emails

but send them emails about captioning because it's a business move.

So, with that, a lot of people have asked me

if there's any template that I can give them so they can just send that to YouTubers.

The thing is, OK, I used to have one but then I took it off.

The thing is everyone is different and it just feels weird sending a copy and paste email.

My reasons for needing captions as a deaf person

is not going to be the same as a hearing person

who probably doesn't need or use captions.

You know, it's just...

It wouldn't make sense.

So, really, the email should come from you personally.

But, instead of a full template, I can give you a couple of tips

and some general things to add in there that's, like, facts.

But, before I do that, one other thing that you can do, that I like to do a lot,

is send them a letter, like an actual letter with a real piece of paper and an envelope.

A lot of YouTubers have PO boxes

so you can find them either in the description box or in their 'about' page.

Send them a letter.

Obviously, this is going to be one of the more tedious things to do

because, one, you have to actually write it out or type it out, if you want,

and you have to, like, buy the supplies.

Then you have to pay to ship it.

But for me, personally, I like doing that because in my head I'm thinking,

one, if you can cover all the bases and ways that they can be contacted,

the more the merrier.

The more they're told about it, the more it's going to hopefully stick to their brains

and that they will consider adding captions to their videos.

Also, emails are easy to, like, skim through and delete really, really quickly.

I know, I've done it.

But, letters, you're holding it and then you actually have to, like...

I don't know.

For me, there's something about...

For at least the first five seconds, I'm paying more attention to a letter than I am an email

and, I don't know, it might be hard to explain.

But, for me, it's just...the more the merrier.

The more chances that I get to tell somebody about captions and the importance of them,

the more chances that...or more of a chance that they will actually do the thing.

Does it always work? No.

But I have been successful in some ways.

Thank you, Chris Ballinger, thank you.

So, now that I've covered the fact that you can send an email and a letter, what do you say?

Because, again, I don't want to give a template because it's too copy and paste

and my reasons are gonna be different than your reasons.

You might not really have any reasons at all, you know?

So, here are just the little bits of facts or comments that work for everybody.

One - mention that captions are for deaf people,

people learning whatever language the captions might be in as a new language,

people who have auditory processing disorder

and you can use it when you're supposed to be sleeping.

So, say it's a school night and you really want to watch that new episode

of, I don't know, insert famous show here that's currently airing,

you gotta sleep but, if your parents hear that, you're gonna get in trouble.

You can turn on the captions and mute the show.

Or if you're at the age where you can do whatever you want

but you might live with roommates, right,

and maybe they have to get up at 5 in the morning

'cause they've gotta go to work or they've gotta go to school,

they're in college, you know, whatever,

captions are there so that you can mute the show

and watch it and enjoy it and you're not really disturbing anybody.

Two - not only will captions help your audience,

they will help you because they are a really good business move.

SEO is gonna be, like, ooh, give me that.

But also it's gonna help with the YouTube algorithm

and, with the YouTube algorithm, it's annoying,

us YouTubers are annoyed by it,

but the captions are gonna help get your videos in there and be more recommended.

Three - well, you might come across some YouTubers that are really, really frugal.

They don't really want to pay for captions because money.

But the good news is is that a website like Rev only costs a dollar a minute.

So, for the YouTubers that make a lot of bank, they can afford captions

but, if they don't want to go with the captioning services that are very expensive, Rev is there.

One dollar a minute.

I understand a lot of people have issues with Rev

because of the way things are run but the fact of the matter is

that they are currently the most accessible and it's kind of like a bad thing, good thing.

If you want to make content more accessible,

sometimes you have to go with someone that you may not fully agree with.

Unfortunately, that's just the way that it is.

Now, four - say you come across a YouTuber

that doesn't make a lot of bank, so, say someone like me,

or, you know, just other...YouTubers that don't really get a whole lot of views,

they might struggle because they don't have the time to caption their videos

but they really want to get it done and how can they do that?

Community contribution.

The thing is, if they use community contribution,

make sure that they know that a lot of the time people like to abuse them.

Of course, this really just depends on the YouTuber.

You can tell which YouTuber has an audience that likes to troll

and then you can tell which Youtubers have audiences that have a level...

have that respect for accessibility and audience.

So, just make sure to tell them that they should review all the files that they get.

Make sure there's no trolling, commentar... useless commentaries, jokes, whatever.

Make sure they're not pulling a Laura Lee, who makes a video, an apology video,

and, you know, the audience starts putting in really ridiculous captions.

Don't pull a Laura Lee.

Well, it's not Laura Lee's fault, it's the audience's fault, but don't let them do that.

Community contribution can be a really good thing

but it can also be a really bad thing

so make sure to take the steps needed to make it a good thing.

If you are writing an email, I do have my 'Three Ways To Caption Your Videos' video

that I made two years ago at the YouTube Space.

It's the most recent video that I have

that gives you, like, the basics of everything that you can do.

So, send them that so, that way, it's already there and they don't have to go searching.

It's just...it's already there so it's less steps that they have to take.

Less steps means that they will be more likely to look into it.

I also have my closed captioning awareness playlist

so, after you link that video on its own,

you can add an extra sentence that says something like,

"After this video, if you want to learn more,

"or check out this playlist because it has everything else on it."

And, lastly, now that all the general works for everybody kind of facts are out of the way,

if you have a personal story, add that in.

If you are a deaf person that needs them, add that in.

If you are a hearing person with auditory processing disorder

or you just need captions

or maybe your best friend is deaf, your mother, your brother, whoever,

they need captions, you know, get at their heart strings a little.

Make them a little emotional. Add that in there.

But the thing is don't make it like a really, really, really long email.

People don't like to read really long emails,

it's just time-consuming, so try to keep it short, about three paragraphs.

I would say a paragraph is three to five sentences so, you know...

That is something that I learned from my friend Franchesca

when we were sending out emails so...

Hopefully, that helps you out a little bit.

Again, I will have my article that I wrote that's a little more detailed

in the description box and in the pinned comment below.

#NoMoreCRAPtions shirts are out through September 21st

so, if you have not gotten one and would like one or if you need a hoodie now,

a sweater, now that it's getting colder soon up in this area of the world, there you go.

And if you haven't, please consider supporting on Patreon.

It's a great way to support your favourite YouTubers and their work.

You get perks like music playlists and written content that you won't see anywhere else.

And I will see you later. Bye.

WO GEHE ICH SHOPPEN? (nachhaltig) | Vivi König - Duration: 5:38.

Hey guys! Sorry for the weird voice and dizzy head.. I got sick

But I wanted to make this video anyway!

This video is about fashion and mainly fair-trade and sustainable fashion

I tell you what my favorite brands are, where I shop and give you some advice on online shops and cheap but sustainable shopping

One of my favorite brands is "WRAD"

They're such a sweet team from Italy

Their clothes are all unisex and more natural colored

What makes them special, is a self invented coloring technique

They color their clothes with recycled graphit powder

The next brand is "MudJeans" from Amsterdam

They have a really cool concept, where you can lease a pair of jeans for 20€ membership and 7,50€ per jeans

They also repair the pants and make them look new again

"Erlich Textil" a underwear brand from germany

They only produce in europe

It's basic underwear but with cute details just like lace

It's literally the softest material ever

Special about them is that they only have an online store but make sure the shipping is co2 neutral

Another cool brand is "Jan'n'June" by 2 girls from Hamburg

They want to go against the green symbol of eco fashion with creating colorful and also black clothing

Then there is a cute brand called "MadeKind" which my dear friend suggested me

It has a touch of hippie style

The birth of the brand is actually a cute story because a girl age 17 started it by selling self-made jewelry on her blog

and donated a lot since the very beginning

and today for every sold piece 10% go back to the land of production

she also supports a lot of NGOs

soo very beautiful jewelry and..does she also make clothes?...Yeah!

And a very popular brand is "armed angels"

100% eco and fair

I think they have really nice cuts and colors. I really like the design

And a very cool brand: "Patagonia"

focused on outdoor fashion but I really like their shirts and logo haha

they place importance on fair-trade, so I think you can really support them

There's a question I get asked a lot by you guys..

Where do I shop?

My favorite places to shop are actually thrift shops and flee markets because it's the most sustainable way to shop and I think you can find so much cool, flippie, colorful and CHEAP stuff

you usually can't find at eco labels

And these are my favorite second hand shops in Berlin:

And my favorite flee markets are these:

But if you don't live in a big city like I do and there aren't a lot of opportunities to shop second hand or eco

There are some really nice online shops you can check out

For example "AvocadoStore" for fair and eco fashion

or "UBUP" for cheap but good quality second hand pieces

And this is my friend Sophia haha

"Yes she made me being part of her youtube video ugh"

She's going to tell us something about a free newsletter

"It's called UTOPIA NEWSLETTER it's for free and you'll get it on your email address"

They write about all kinds of subjects such as fashion, beauty, household goods etc."

"They compare brands and products and give you tipps and advice on how to live more conscious"

That's it with the video, I hope you liked it and sorry again for me being sick aaand see you next week!

Exclusive interview with Ugandan MP Bobi Wine - Duration: 3:51.

They did unspeakable things to me.

They brutally arrested me,

beat me, tortured me,

abused me and left me for dead.

I'm even talking to you against my doctor's orders

because, to them, I'm supposed to be resting,

but, like I've always said, the fire that burns inside me

burns hotter than the fire that burns outside me.

So what are your plans?

As you said, the fire is still burning

and I'm sure the fire is burning on the other side as well,

so how are you going to deal with that?

I'm going to continue, most importantly, calling upon Ugandans,

especially the young people, to stand up for what they believe in,

to not give up, never to give up, to continue pushing

until they get the freedom and dignity that they deserve.

Ugandans have been tortured and killed for very many years.

It has been happening, it is happening and it will continue to happen

until we, as Ugandans, put an end to it.

- So are you planning to go back to Uganda?

Of course I'm going back to Uganda.

Uganda is my home; I don't have any other home.

That is where I was born and that is where I will be buried.

- Aren't you afraid to go back to Uganda?

I'm not afraid

because being here already is torture.

I'm away from my family, I'm away from my children

and I'm away from fellow Ugandans who were tortured.

I'm only lucky that I have the ability to come for specialised treatment.

But I'm not scared.

The ordeal that you narrated in length on your social media,

the authorities back in Uganda claim that it's fake

and even the crutches that you have are fake.

What do you have to say about that?

Does anybody get surprised when the authorities torture Ugandans and say it's fake?

I have nothing to say to them.

All I have to say is to the Ugandans, not to the authorities.

They're so drunk on power, they don't listen to nothing.

- So what exactly is your plan when you go back?

I'm going to continue the fight for freedom

and it is the fight that we must either win or die trying.

- You do realise that President Museveni has the police, has the army and everything else,

so how do you expect to win the fight that you're talking about?

The police and the army are supposed to be serving the people,

so it doesn't matter whether he has the police or the army;

we have the people of Uganda on our side.

- We all know that you're commonly known as

"The President of the Ghetto" in Uganda.

Do you want to be the president of Uganda?

It's not about me and it's not about being president.

We just want to be free.

I just want to live in a country that I'm proud of,

a country that makes sense to me and to every other Ugandan.

Q & A With Granny - Part 3 - Duration: 8:47.

Hello InnerTubers,

Yes, it's us again.

[upbeat intro music]

Number 3 of the Q&A. I think I dodged some bullets in #2. I don't know what she's got on …

on her plate for #3. The cards have different colors. I wonder if I should be scared by that.

So, I hope you've listened already to #1 Q&A and #2 Q&A. What else. Hmmmm. All right.

I love … I know there are things you make that are my favorite things to eat, and I

can't wait, personally, for the Granny PottyMouth cookbook that's coming out – Granny PottyMouth

Fast as Fuck Cookbook. Whoosh Whoosh. [giggle] I can't wait for that because I wanna try

some of the things that I've not yet been fortunate enough to have, uh, that you've

made, but what's YOUR favorite thing to cook?

[giggles] The very next thing I'm gonna eat. [giggles]

I know that sounds like a smart-ass answer, but it's the truth. I don't cook

it if I don't like it. And, if I'm gonna put that much energy into it, it's gonna

be something I like, so it's my favorite right now. All right. My absolute favorite

thing to cook is anything with chocolate in it. I … I can't even … it's either

the bark or it's the pudding with the strawberries and the blueberries. Oh, fuck. The cookies

… or … actually that vegan cake where you use chocolate and pumpkin? That shit was

all right. That's pretty good. Pumpkin and chocolate's a good combo. Halloween's

my favorite holiday. [lip smacking] Pumpkin cookies with chocolate chips! YAAAAAAS! Oh,

and it's only August. Ohhhh, you'll have to turn the air conditioner way low just to

be able to bake in this heat, huh? 420 degrees! 420. Well, you'll bake 420, now we know.

I love your live broadcasts but here are no captions – someone pointed this out – for

later, for their deaf friends. So, is that something that's uh … ? Well, the only

captions that are available for the live videos are the ones that are automatic, both in YouTube

or in Facebook. Because … it … just … it's … for every minute of speech on a video

… let's say I have a 10-minute video that I have to caption, it's 2 hours. That's

a lot of time. It's a lot of time. And, sometimes in the live videos you know … I'm

so scattered because somebody's asking a question and somebody else is asking a question

and … and I get so A.D.D. that … that typing that up would just be a nightmare,

so the best thing to do is to just try to deal with the live captions and … it's

the one area that I have … uh … with the … with the automatic captions … it's

the one area where I don't service my deaf and hard-of-hearing fans as much as I would

like to. [mimes: "sorry"] Now, a lot of your live broadcasts … I … sometimes they're

here. Have you … are you … do you have plans to go out into the wild and do more

live broadcasts? Into the wild! Uh, where the bears and the tigers are. Where the bears

and tigers are. I haven't made those plans yet. I … I can't even … I can't even

give you an answer on that one. That's a tough one. You … you … you're busy.

You … you release something every Thursday, right? Every Thursday, and I have … except

for the editing, I don't have any help on any of this. I sit at my desk for hours and

hours and hours and hours. I have a wide butt to prove it. And I'm acting. And I've

got the cookbook coming out. And, you know, there's … there's just regular correspondence,

and a family life. So that's why I don't want people in my family life. But it's

nice that, as Granny PottyMouth, you give so much love to the … to the grandkids,

because you are … you're always … there's something available, you're always giving

back, you're always doing something, and I would imagine you will get much busier when

the book comes out. Yeah. That you're going to be … hopefully … out introducing that

book to everyone,? Well, the publishers tell me – I didn't publish it myself.

A legitimate real-deal publishing company in Massachusetts published the book. And,

it's available already on Amazon. Pre-orders help a lot. There's a link for that down

in the description. Um, it's available on BarnesandNoble.com. Eh, any local bookstore

will have access to it. Um, it's … And what's the title again?

Oh, it's called, Granny PottyMouth's [whistle sound] Fast As Fuck Cookbook.

And … and I look like

a total dork on the cover but I love it. You know, it's nice because anymore, people

everywhere are so busy that they don't have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen, and

they eat a lot of fast foods or they're getting already processed … you're giving

people an opportunity to make things in their own home that are made with love. Yeah. And a secret.

A secret. A secret. One of the secrets to fast as fuck is to make something that's

enough for 2 or 3 days. Ahhhhh. Leftovers … or lunch. Getting your book they get to

figure out how to do that at home. And they get to figure out that this shit doesn't

have to be expensive. That's also big, too, because we've talked before about whether

or not you're … you know … your videos are making you boatloads of money. And the

idea that any of us have boatloads of money, except for maybe 4 people on the planet. Yeah.

It's nice that you're helping. Yeah, I've never ever ever had a lot of money. I've

often had a lot of money troubles. Um, and you know when I was a single mom with 2 kids

I learned to feed them well – nutritiously – um, on a budget. That's the bulk of

the questions that we've had and I'm sure Granny PottyMouth would like to answer many

many more, but she likes to hear from you, and she likes to know what's on your mind.

And, there are things she won't talk about, but there's a lot you will talk about so

they should ask more questions. I would love to hear from them about … maybe some of

the things they think are … um … issues that I could cover. You know, I've covered

… um … in my morning meditations we've covered how to … how to be kind and how

to do inventory … oh, that was a bedtime … was inventory … you know to just put

this stuff … or was it daytime … I don't know … I forget. I give bedtime meditations

and daytime meditations, and, um, I really don't need suggestions about what to cook.

Somebody actually, this is a question I forgot to give you, somebody asked me how do I decide

what to cook. Well, basically, it's whatever's on sale at the store this week. That was one

of your best things ever that you created was because there was a sale. Oh, "APPLEGASM."

That was a sale. The apples were in the discount bin … a whole bag of 'em. A bunch of 'em.

Four bunches. Different kinds. Different types of apples, and I figured if the apples can

all get along, we can all get along. Just sayin'. I hope you liked the Q&A where we're

set up looking like a real interview kinda show. Woo hoo hoo. You like that? My friend,

Thresa, thank you so much for coming over to do this. Ahhh. Subscribe, for heaven's sake.

Hit the LIKE button. Share this with somebody. Send it … send it out to the world.

You know, like I said, I've got, um, a quarter of a million fans on YouTube, a half a million

on Facebook, and my videos total are getting fifteen, sixteen thousand views. That's

just criminal. It's criminal. And they need to support you on Patreon. It's very little

ever month. It's less than one cup of coffee in a 30-day period and the idea that she'll

give you some of her secrets, some of her behind-the-scenes, certainly some of the bloopers.

She gives a little extra love. And people who are there now are getting advance information

about the cookbook. Very fun. They got the table of contents last week. Ohhhh! Oh, yeah.

Tinysponsor, who is a company that's designed just to support smaller creators like me and

connect us with small companies that want to … want to put their products in front

of our fans who are loyal, and passionate, and engaged. And, they've helped me with

the editing. Down in the description is my PO Box. Don't send me shit, please, I'm

getting rid of shit every day in my house. But, I love cards, and I love funny jokes,

and they may end up in a "mail call" video pretty soon. This kinda wraps it up. Episode 1,

Episode 2, and now Episode 3. I hope you've watched all of them. We've had a good time.

[blows kiss]

Granny Loves You. All of you.

Thresa and I both love you.

TRAVEL BURNOUT | How to Prevent it ! - Duration: 9:03.

hey YouTube welcome back to my channel

my name is Leah and if you're new here

I'm a full time traveler and right now I

am in Greece in corfu greece right now I

have been in Greece for two weeks now

and I have I think three more weeks to

go I have like a whole month that I'm

just backpacking through Greece I've

been island hopping and I am on island

number four Corfu so today I am talking

about traveler burnout so I'm talking

about this because this recently

happened to me and I wanted to talk to

you guys about what that is and what

that means and how you can overcome this

traveler burnout first of all I just

discovered this because this is the

longest that I have traveled by myself

in my entire life so this is new to me I

was so shocked and I was really like sad

but then when I did my research I

realized how common it was but just

needs to be talked about that's why I

really wanted to do this video traveler

burnout what does that even mean that

just means that when you're traveling

you get to the point where you're just

burnt out you're done like you're

fatigued you're pretty much just tired

of traveling and you don't want to

anymore

and how does that happen it's just from

over exerting yourself because a lot of

people don't realize it but traveling is

exhausting like it's not just fun and

games

I think traveling is different than

vacationing there's a lot of controversy

between that but I think there's a

difference between vacationing and

traveling and traveling is exhausting

because usually you're jumping around

from different places and you're having

to learn the different cultures and

adapt and like learn your weight like

navigate your way through the new

country or city and it's super hard it's

super just exhausting

first I wanted to island hop through

Greece I wanted to go to as many islands

as humanly possible within the month

that I had here huge mistake

within the first week I think I was

already on like three different islands

and Athens so I was in Athens and then

like three other islands and it was just

like Bam Bam Bam I was jumping from

island to island it was so exhausting

because you also have to keep in mind

the actual travel so you're traveling on

like ferries and buses and in metros and

I was exhausted I didn't realize I was

exhausted until I actually got to Corfu

and my body started to literally shut

down like I was getting sick I was so

tired and I was like what is going on

here like and then what happened is that

I started to feel bad I was like beating

myself up for wanting to just stay in

bed because that's what I wanted to do I

just wanted to stay in bed and I was

like what are you doing like you've been

waiting to do this for so long you've

been working so hard to be a full-time

traveler and here you are and you just

want to stay in bed but that was the

truth that's what happened so then what

I what I did is I did some research I

was like online I was like what is

happening like why am I so tired like

when I'm traveling and then I saw all

these articles about travel burnout I

read up on it and it is a thing and it

doesn't matter if you're doing like a

long trip or even if it's a short trip

it doesn't matter the length of your

trip you can get travel burnout now that

you know what travel burnout is what do

you do to prevent this so the number one

thing that you do to prevent it is to

slow down so this is one of the things

that I had to do recently and that I'm

doing is to slow down I I was hopping

from island to island to island

I maybe stayed at each Island like a max

two to three nights and then I was off

again and then living out of a backpack

that makes it so hard cuz you have to

repack your backpack carry around your

backpack the ferries actually take a

good amount of time and it's exhausting

so I'm slowing down so I'm in Corfu for

an entire week and then I actually

changed my reservations so that the next

island I'm staying on I'm staying there

for two whole weeks I'm so excited

because before I was going to see some

more islands so now I'm actually slowing

down I think that I

only have two more islands to see

throughout my whole trip and I'm okay

with that

so the next thing which might be before

number one the number two thing is to

just accept the fact that you can't do

everything and that you need to slow

down so that was really hard because me

as a person I like to do everything

especially when I travel I want to take

advantage of every single moment and I

want to do everything I want to see

every tourist attraction I'm gonna be on

the beach every day I want to go walk

around I want to go do this activity I

want to do that but so what I've had to

do is just accept the fact that I can't

do everything and that some destinations

I'll just be hanging out and just

chillin and other destinations I will go

and be a tourist also that there will be

days where I'll just do nothing and

that's okay so that has been hard I'm

still working through that but that's a

major key the third thing is that you

have to take breaks you have to take

like days off and I wasn't doing that

before either

so like traveling is pretty much like a

full-time not a full-time job but you're

doing it full-time similar to like a job

and when you're working you have days

off so why don't you have days off when

you're traveling so that's what I need

to start doing and I'm working on doing

is giving myself days off so in a day

off will mean like literally a day off

not doing anything so I did that when I

got to Corfu because I was so exhausted

and I was getting sick so one day I just

stayed in the room and I stayed in bed

the entire day and I slept and I think I

watched like a movie and that's all I

did

and then the next day I felt so much

better I was like refreshed and it was

amazing so that's what I'm gonna start

doing like as a routine one or two days

out of the week I'm just gonna do

absolutely nothing just nothing and it

is really important so you don't get

burnt out and then the last thing that I

think is really important and how you

can overcome traveler burnout is to

listen to your body do something

physical eat healthy

make sure you're drinking a lot of water

because for a while there um I was so

tired because I wasn't eating right I've

been having a hard time eating healthy

in Greece because I don't know I just

haven't been able to find like green

green veggies and that's always been a

huge part of my diet is to eat like

those dark leafy greens like kale

spinach I always eat like what else do I

always eat ate a lot of spinach actually

and kale and I eat a lot of avocados I

eat a lot of like squash and zucchini

yeah that's pretty much what I eat a lot

and I haven't been able to find that

here in foods or in grocery stores and I

have been staying at these hospitals

that don't have kitchens so I can't cook

for myself so my diet has been out of

whack

so I noticed that was happening so then

I went to the store and I bought some

vitamins so I can take that

so definitely listen to your body so

those are just my tips and what I've

been doing myself to prevent burning out

again because that was a sucky feeling

and I feel much better now I'm taking it

slow like yesterday I literally was just

at the beach all day and the rest of the

time I think like I wrote a blog and

that's it I'm perfectly fine with that

that was great for me and I love that I

have enough energy that today I can go

on an adventure and I'm gonna go out and

explore and do tourist stuff and then

probably the next day I will just not do

anything so that is it I hope you guys

learn something from this and don't feel

bad if you feel burnt out on your trips

even if like it's a short trip or if

it's a long trip don't feel bad but just

make sure to give yourself a break take

it slow and don't exert yourself but

thank you guys so much for watching this

channel if you like videos like this and

you want to see more then give me a

thumbs up and comment down in the

comment section your longest trip that

you've ever taken in your life I want to

know I want to hear your about your

longest trips that you've ever taken all

right I'll see these the next one

Breathtakingly Beautiful Baby Names Taken From Fairytales - Duration: 5:02.

Fairytales encompass countless cultures, which makes them perfect sources for baby name inspiration.

If you're looking for just the right enchanted moniker for your little one, fairytales are

goldmines for gorgeous (and even historical) options.

Check out a few of our favorite rare, beautiful, and exotic fairytale-inspired choices that

await the parent who truly does believe in magic.

Caelia

Known for being one of the longest works of poetic brilliance in history, Edmund Spenser's

The Faerie Queene is brimming with epic names, but Caelia is definitely one of the loveliest

ones.

As the matriarch of the House of Holiness, Dame Caelia (whose name means "heavenly")

is the mother to three daughters: Hope, Charity, and Faith.

The pronunciation of Caelia appears to vary, according to both region and preference.

Some pronounce the name as Kay-leia or Say-leia, while others have been known to say it as

Chay-leia.

Some people even pronounce it as the far more common (but still lovely) Celia.

Whichever interpretation you prefer, the name is tied to literary legend.

Nausicaa

Princess Nausicaa comes to us from Homer's The Odyssey.

The name literally means "burner of ships," though the Nausicaa in the story doesn't turn

out to be a pyromaniac after all.

Instead, she rescues a shipwrecked Odysseus, and the rest, as they say, is mythological

history.

Nausicaa is an ideal seagoing name, perfect for a daughter one plans to raise by the ocean,

on a boat, or even among beach bonfires.

Nausicaa is also the name of the heroine in the film series Nausicaä of the Valley of

the Wind, which features a strong and admirable female lead . Your little Nausicaa is bound

to make some waves, and she might just be able to swim before she can talk.

Fable

A unisex moniker, Fable is a wonderful name, and one that likely hails from the seventeenth-century

text Pentamerone, also known as The Tale of Tales, which was recently adapted into an

acclaimed arthouse film.

In the fairy tale, Fable is the baby sister of the boy Eros.

Both children are cared for and nurtured by the nurse Ginnistan, who symbolizes the imagination.

The name evokes Aesop's Fables and the magic of storytelling in general, plus, it's also

just straight-up cute for a baby.

High-brow and fascinating all at once, this is definitely an enchanting name a child could

grow into beautifully.

Amira

Most often associated with the award-winning actress Amira Casar, this lovely moniker is

an Arabic name that literally means "princess."

Speaking of royalty, the name Amira is described as a feminized form of the male moniker, Amir,

which, as one might expect, means "prince."

Amira is the name of the acclaimed Israeli poet Amira Hess, and Amira is also the name

of Princess Ameerah Al-Taweel of Saudi Arabia, a noted humanitarian and crusader for women's

rights, proving this is truly a name fit for a royal.

"There are very important issues...that concerns us women, like civil rights, more fields in

education, more fields in the labor force, and more political participation."

Conrad

In The Goose Girl, a whimsical tale by the Brothers Grimm, Conrad is the gallant goose-tender

who has to chase down his hat in a high wind every time a princess chants a magic slogan.

But don't feel too bad for Conrad.

In some versions of the tale, the young man becomes something of a hero when he discovers

who the princess really is, leading to the princess revealing her true identity and finding

her way back to her royal roots.

Conrad means "bold, wise counselor," so it's the perfect name for a baby with big dreams

of ruling the world, or, at least, the playground.

Famous Conrads include actor Conrad Bain from Diff'rent Strokes, the poet Conrad Aiken,

and the character Conrad "Duke" Hauser from G.I.

Joe.

Bet you didn't know that!

Lysander

Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream should most definitely count as a fairytale, as it

certainly has all the elements of one: a fairy queen, a mischievous fairy boy, enchanted

forests, and star-crossed lovers.

One of those lovers, named Lysander, famously falls in love with the wrong fair maiden after

being "poisoned" by one of Puck's "love-spells," and many whimsical moonlight mishaps ensue.

The moniker Lysander itself means "defender."

And if you consider yourself a big Harry Potter fan, you'll probably best recognize Lysander

as one of the twin sons of Luna Lovegood and Rolf Scamander.

But that's not all!

If you happen to be expecting a baby girl, Lysander has a beautiful female counterpart

in the form of its feminine version, Lysandra, which also means defender, or liberator.

So if brave, strong genes run in the family, this name will be a perfect fit for your little

one.

Roland

The disturbing-yet-whimsical tale Sweetheart Roland is full of fantasy and surreal adventure.

In the dark fairytale by the Brothers Grimm, the faithful Roland flees from an evil witch

with his lady love.

As they make their trek, they cleverly escape detection by turning themselves into all sorts

of entities, from lakes, to flowers, to ducks.

And of course, in the end, Roland and his true love eventually live happily ever after.

Snapping back to reality, the name Roland means "famed throughout the land", so if

you're expecting to have a rising young Hollywood star on your hands, this name is

perfect for your bundle of joy.

The name was first made famous by the French military hero Roland, whose death was one

of the main inspirations behind Boromir in The Lord of the Rings.

Other notable Rolands include the ghostly, avenging hero of Warren Zevon's legendary

song "Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner," Roland the Gunslinger from Stephen King's

Dark Tower stories, and Robin from How I Met Your Mother.

"Oh I don't think we've met, I'm Chloe."

"Robin."

"It's nice to meet you Roland!

I'll see you guys later!"

"Roland?!"

Roland is certainly a wonderful, romantic, and chivalrous name, so whether you're naming

a avenging ghost or a dashing hero, you can rest assured that Rolands have a track record

of being, well…

"Legendary!"

Oh my!

Oh my! Hyeonjeong!

Hyeonjeong!

Congratulations!

Hyeonjeong!

Don't just sit there. Say something.

I know I have to celebrate, but I'm shocked.

I didn't think you'd do something like this.

I thought you were different.

She's older, and times are different.

She's not 20.

It's not what you think.

Go ahead and eat.

When did it start?

Tell us. We're all adults here.

Hyeonjeong.

Are you pregnant?

You didn't know?

Men don't know these things.

It's not that.

Please...

Hyeonjeong!

How long has it been?

It's nothing like that.

Is Lee Munhak the father?

No!

Then, why are you doing this?

It's me.

What do you mean it's 'you?'

I hated and cursed dad so much

and something terrible like this happened.

What's wrong with you?

She's taking it hard.

This is her first time. She must be shocked.

Go ahead and eat. This is a happy event.

I guess the groom is shocked.

You're cute, like a little boy.

I heard that Mr. Lee Munhak

is your youngest grandfather.

Yes, my oldest grandfather was

22 years older than him.

Oh my!

They must've loved each other so much.

If Hyeonjeong marries Mr. Lee Munhak,

how will the relationships work?

Hyeonjeong will become my mother's aunt.

How is she?

She's hilarious.

I went through this when I was 20.

She's crying as if the world had ended.

She said this happened

because she hated dad.

How many weeks along are you?

I haven't even held hands with Lee Munhak.

So whose baby is it?

I'm not pregnant.

Then, why are you doing this?

You made a scene in front of the guests

that your mother invited.

You must have a reason.

I'm suddenly not feeling well.

I need a rest.

Are you too tired to come out?

I'm sorry mom, but...

I'm not pregnant.

I'm just exhausted.

You might be pregnant.

They haven't even held hands.

Why not? He looks like a nice guy.

I'll apologize to Mr. Lee later.

I'm so sorry.

We should do this again.

It'd be my pleasure.

Please take good care of Hyeonjeong.

Sure.

We should have a drink sometime.

Good. I'll wait for your call.

I heard that your mother

liked the cooking class.

She really enjoyed it.

She's coming to the special class tomorrow.

Right.

Thank you for inviting us for lunch.

Take care.

Thank you.

Mari, can I talk to you for a minute?

Why haven't you told your mother?

I need time to think about it.

Right.

Thank you, Mari.

Let's solve this problem wisely.

I don't want things

to be awkward between us.

Are you worried I might

stop working with you?

Well...

I want to remain friends.

I'm willing to kneel in front of your mother

on behalf of my mother right now.

Ms. Na Malnyeon was harsh on mom, but

I'm sure mom did something wrong as well.

But my mother was an adult and her teacher.

She should've embraced your mother.

Are you the first son?

How did you know?

You're like a very generous big brother.

You don't have a problem with first sons,

do you?

What are you talking about?

Aren't we supposed to watch a movie

this evening?

Call me when you get this message.

Thanks for earlier.

For what?

You said I was the

2nd prettiest in Anguk-dong.

I was trying to dis you.

No need to thank me.

You know the word, 'dis?'

You're kind of cute.

Ms. Jang Moran!

Yes?

You can go home if you want to.

It's not like you've been

waiting for permission, but...

Do whatever you want.

I don't think you know how my husband

got into his accident.

Even if you did, I don't think you'd tell me.

I won't force you to stay here.

Go home if you want.

No.

I can't go home.

Why not?

I've already paid my full tuition for your class.

I'm not going home.

Don't be ridiculous.

Having guests is a lot of work.

Hyeonjeong wasn't helping, either.

Hyeonsuk, why don't you learn how to cook?

Me?

I think you have what it takes to be a cook.

I don't think you realize that.

I'm not interested in cooking. It's not my thing.

Why don't you just learn?

If tomorrow is too early, maybe next time.

Please join me, okay?

Can she do that?

If she wants to, I won't stop her.

Hyeonsuk, join me. Please?

Mr. Lee Dujin's mother will be there as well?

Right.

It should be fun.

Can you make me the class representative,

please?

If that's what you want, go ahead.

Wear an armband, if you want.

Thank you.

Are you going to speak French again?

Unbelievable!

If you put this on, your face won't be dry.

Thank you.

I want to thank you.

I know you're trying to encourage me.

I really think that you're talented.

I'll join the next class.

Are you going to be home tomorrow?

After what Hyeonjeong just did,

I should check on her.

When you had problems at school,

your mom visited your teacher, right?

She did.

I guess she couldn't persuade your teacher.

Dad passed away so suddenly,

so mom wasn't herself for about a year.

I guess she visited the school in a daze.

I guess she was beside herself.

I'm taking the high school equivalency test

this summer.

It's too late to apply for the one in April

and I'm not ready for that one, yet.

You've already won.

You've decided to take a step forward.

You're not the same Hyeonsuk from the past.

Really.

Did something happen to him?

I'm sending you some good music.

My mom, who passed away, majored in piano,

and this was her favorite.

When I feel gloomy, I listen to this.

I take piano lessons once in a while.

You and I have the same ringtone.

If you like Beethoven's Sonata,

I'm sure you'll like this as well.

I'm so hungry.

Chicken and beer?

Master Lee, how about some beer?

Sounds good.

Let's go!

Beer and chicken!

Soy sauce chicken.

How many times do I have to listen to this?

This is my 10th time, and I'm still...

Listen to the music until you feel better.

Good night.

I'm sorry, father.

You've been dead to us for so long.

Sorry father, but let's just live the way we are.

One and two. Breathe!

One and two. Work harder.

I hated and cursed dad so much

and something terrible like this happened.

She's not stupid.

Why would she say such a thing?

Move to the next station!

- Hey! / - What?

Stop daydreaming.

They'll take your coupon away.

Move!

Okay.

Way to go!

One and breathe.

You're so pretty.

What is it?

Give it to me.

You can't be like me.

I'm going to teach Ms. Park a lesson.

I'm telling you. Keep an eye on her.

Give it to me.

So refreshing and sexy.

Jongmi.

You know Hyeonjeong doesn't talk nonsense.

She's got a bitter tongue,

but she doesn't talk nonsense.

She's being weird.

How so?

She gets very emotional, retches a lot,

breaks into cold sweats and then calms down.

Is she starting menopause so young?

See!

We have to exercise hard to

delay menopause.

Hyeonjeong, I'm here.

How do you feel?

Isn't she home?

Hyeonjeong, are you here?

Oh my!

(DNA Test Results)

You must've felt so awkward.

Sorry.

What was that all about?

I wasn't feeling very well.

You made your entire family believe

that I was the father of your child.

That's not a good enough excuse.

I'm sorry.

I think you have another reason.

You weren't sick.

Were you testing me on that day?

You knew I was interested in you, and

you wanted to know if was still interested.

Why didn't you defend yourself

in a situation like that?

Because of my useless imagination.

If you couldn't be

with the father of the child for some reason,

I thought I might have to act the part.

Don't worry. That's not the case.

Hello.

Hello, is Mr. Lee in his office?

Yes, he is.

You're very cold-hearted.

I don't think I can work with you.

Forget my offer.

Have you been playing me?

It wasn't easy for me at this age,

but I expressed my affection towards you,

and wanted to start

a meaningful project with you.

But I feel like you've been observing me

from over a fence.

That's because you don't like me, right?

I've had a crush on you for so long...

And I've been happy for the past few weeks.

Thank you, Hyeonjeong.

Take care.

My father, who I thought had passed away,

is still alive.

I found out on that day.

How can I help you?

There's nothing you can do.

I'm sure there's something I can do.

Excuse me.

I'm taking some cooking classes

and I brought some seaweed pancakes.

You didn't have to do this.

Share them with your colleagues.

I guess you're in the middle of something.

- Sorry. / - Yes.

Good-bye.

Are you the anchor, Kim Hyeonjeong?

I'm taking classes from

Ms. Kang in Anguk-dong.

Mari told me about you.

Thank you for the pancakes.

Right.

Bye.

What's going on between those two?

Do you know where Ms. Kim Hyeonjeong is?

She's not answering her phone.

What are you doing here?

Hyeonjong, is Jang Moran my mother?

What are you talking about?

What's this?

Why were you going through my stuff?

Tell me what this is. Now!

Can't you read Korean?

Didn't you read the 'father-daughter' part?

What?

Come with me.

You saw a guy who looked like dad,

you did a DNA test and

he turned out to be our father.

Do you expect me to believe that?

Then don't!

Nothing will change.

Dad died a long time ago.

Where is he?

Tell me where he is.

Let's just live the way we are.

Nothing's changed.

You wench!

When family members reunite after living

apart for too long, things rarely work out.

Besides, father broke our hearts.

Let's give him a chance to apologize.

Apologize for what?

He doesn't even remember us.

Even if he doesn't, he's still our father.

Even if he doesn't, we're still family.

Let me see him.

I can't tell mom about this.

She'll be shocked.

Father passed away a long time ago.

Don't be overdramatic.

Hey!

Father.

The concept is a vague,

and it's not a good story.

That's what I've been telling them,

but they won't listen to me.

Let's not include Mr. Yang.

Looking for his family seems a bit off.

Why are you saying this all of a sudden?

I want to narrate a show

that makes sense to me.

Why are you being so difficult?

Can't you just read the script?

Do you want me to be a parrot?

How can you be so conservative?

No wonder why you never get a break.

Hyeonjeong, please calm down.

We'll wrap up shooting tomorrow.

Thank you for doing this.

It's been fun and exciting.

He worked hard.

It reminded me of the good old days.

I loved it.

I was trying to find the right time

to tell you this, but I'm retiring this month.

Why?

My mother is getting old.

I want to start farming in my hometown.

That makes me sad.

Come visit me any time.

I hope you can find your family.

Hyeonsuk!

What's going on?

Sir!

Can I have some water, please?

Sure.

Let's sit over there.

Come here.

Why don't you sit here?

She's my former student. Hold on.

Do you want to drink this?

I didn't touch it with my lips.

She's not going to drink that.

No? I'm sorry.

Here.

Are you running an errand for Hyeonjeong?

By the way, is something wrong?

Catch your breath.

I'll stop talking to you.

Why aren't they coming?

They must be arguing again.

You should eat that radish naengmyeon

one more time before you leave.

Tell me about it.

Hyeonjeong won't tell me

where she got the naengmyeon from.

Hyeonjeong brought him naengmyeon?

Yes, he wants to eat it again,

but she won't tell us where she got it.

It's exactly what I remember.

Hyeonsuk, what's wrong?

Are you sick?

I guess you're sick. You don't look so well.

Don't you know me?

Don't you recognize me?

Hyeonsuk?

How can this be possible?

Thank you, sir.

You saved my father.

Calm down and let's think this through.

I've seen cases like this before.

An old lady who didn't remember her family

eventually got sick due to stress.

"Don't you remember me?

We did this together."

You can't pressure

him with questions like that.

Can't we just live the way we are?

No!

Let's just let things run their course.

So white and clean.

It feels nice and dry.

Don't you think this is too much?

I'm going to share it with my students.

They love bay salt and rice.

Should I brine the cabbage tomorrow?

Sounds good.

Let's go grocery shopping this evening.

Hello, Ms. Kang.

You're early.

I feel happy when I come here.

Go on inside and get ready for the class.

Yes.

Hello. It's nice to meet you.

Hello.

How are you?

We're going to cook

with seasonal ingredients.

Hello. You guys seem happy.

We're going to cook with seasonal vegetables.

It's a special class.

Hello.

The patient?

As of today, I'm the class representative

of this class, Jang Moran.

Let's get started. Attention.

You! Attention!

To Anguk-dong's Ms. Kang...

Today we're going to cook...

Many different dishes using fang feng.

Fang feng prevents you from getting palsy.

It's like a gift from god.

You shouldn't use too much seasoning.

Let the natural flavor

of the ingredients come out.

Tasty.

Ms. Park, can you take out some octopus?

Yes, ma'am.

Didn't we meet in an art gallery?

I don't know. I don't remember.

Who's that lady?

You've done a lot for me so far.

I haven't had a chance to thank you.

Stop.

If other students ask you about me,

tell them the truth.

How should I put it?

She's a businesswoman.

She imports antique furniture from Europe.

Antique furniture?

She knows a well-known

Italian accessory maker.

She imports things like this as well.

Really?

Isn't she recuperating at home

to treat an illness or something?

Not at all.

Can you taste what I made?

I guess I added too much seasoning.

How rude!

What are you doing here?

I'm here to collect my uniform.

I don't come here anymore.

Right.

I'll take the heavier equipment tomorrow.

Okay.

Did you come for your uniform?

Yes.

My class finished late, so I couldn't call you.

Sorry about the movie.

You put your tie by yourself today.

When did you get here?

A while ago.

Why didn't you call?

I've been in the editing room.

By the way, we might not be able to help

Mr. Yang find his family.

Hyeonjeong is against it,

claiming the concept is vague.

Mari, what's wrong with your aunt?

Mari, are you okay?

Would you like to go to a movie tonight?

I really want to see this movie.

I'm sorry this is the only place

that's still showing the movie.

Don't be.

I like it here.

Is it sad?

I had a crush on this guy.

I thought he liked me back.

I guess he didn't.

He's not returning my calls any more.

Is that why you're crying?

Over a bastard like him?

I'm crying because the movie is sad.

Mari.

Do you want to watch

another movie tomorrow?

Maybe something funny?

No.

Watch the movie.

Thank you.

Take care.

You look silly laughing like that.

This class is so much fun.

Do you want to go to a hotel

and get some rest?

Why a hotel? I have a house.

People go to hotels to go to the spa,

to swim, and to eat delicious food.

People go there a lot to relax.

I have a VIP voucher

that expires at the end of this month.

Go by yourself.

I want to take you.

Let's take the day off.

Go ahead.

You can give Ms. Park the day off.

You need to keep up with trends.

Your students are very high class.

I don't need to know trends.

I'm very confident with my cooking.

Why do you think your dishes are so good?

Because your life has melted into them.

I forgot the starch rice.

I'll go get it.

Cheolhui broke your heart.

You hated me, yet took me in.

You had to cook to make a living,

even when you didn't feel like it.

All those experiences

have melted into your dishes.

You need to give yourself a break.

That's a hell of a way of

inviting me to a hotel.

I just want to do something nice for you.

When's the last time I wore this?

What the heck?

It's all stretched. I can't wear this.

Mom!

Mom, what's wrong?

Learn to knock.

Moran asked me to go to a hotel with her.

I'm not sure if I should go.

Go, mom.

I'll buy you a bathing suit.

I don't want to swim.

I'm curious about the spa and the food there.

Go with her, mom.

This is godsent opportunity.

While they're gone,

we can invite father to the house.

If he eats some radish naengmyeon at

our place, he might start remembering things.

It won't be easy. Don't hold your breath.

Don't be such a kill joy.

He's lost his memory for over 30 years.

You can't get his memory back just like that.

You always challenge me

and look down on me.

You have no respect for me.

When I say something that you don't like,

you always get angry.

I don't do that.

You always humiliate me in front of people.

Stop.

This is why Mari thinks that you're mental.

What if he gets his memory back?

Mom said that she's got things to say to dad.

What if he doesn't regain his memory?

That's not what we should worry about now.

Let's bring him home, serve him dinner,

and take him back to his hotel.

I'll escort Ms. Kang to the hotel.

I'll make sure she checks in.

This is really roomy.

I told them to upgrade

the room to make you happy.

And...

Oh my!

Five star hotels are like this everywhere.

You control the lights here.

It's dark. It's bright again.

Anguk-dong Ms. Kang

should know these things.

Who do you come to hotels with?

I come here alone to get some rest

and get a massage.

Whatever.

Aren't you hungry?

Room service!

I made a reservation at the French restaurant.

Eat just enough to hold you over.

This is delicious.

Isn't it?

You should try lots of different dishes.

Did you pack your bathing suit?

No.

Cheolhui told me that you were a mermaid.

Did you go to a swimming pool with him?

No, I didn't.

Don't be silly.

When he was with you,

did he talk about me a lot?

Once in a while.

Cheolhui loved you a lot.

Whenever you say stuff like that,

I want to slap you.

No. 2003. The Suite Room.

You can put on your gown here and go inside.

After soaking in the tub for a while,

you'll get a massage.

Should I get completely undressed first

and put this on?

Yes. You have to have a bath.

After taking a bath, you can get a massage.

You're crazy.

Why would I get naked

and go into a bathtub with you?

You don't go to public saunas?

I'm the wife

of the guy who had a crush on you.

I don't want to get naked in front of you.

I'll be naked as well.

I don't want to see your body.

I don't know what you're imagining,

but I'm...

I'm not imagining anything.

I'm not going to do this.

This is what spas are all about.

You didn't know?

I was too busy raising my children

and making a living to know about spas.

I'm not a slutty woman like you.

Your daughters are adults now.

You're being a little weird.

You're the one who's not normal.

How can you think of having a bath with me?

I'm so appalled.

This is the most luxurious spa in Korea.

I wanted to treat you.

I think you wanted to show off.

You wanted to show off your firm body.

Enjoy. I don't want to do this.

I'm going home.

This is why Cheolhui liked me.

What?

I'm going to get naked.

If you don't want to see my firm body, leave.

I shouldn't have saved her.

I should've kicked her harder and killed her.

How can she do this to me? Wench!

Ungrateful shrew!

This is because of that bastard, Kim Cheolhui.

I'm not going to have

a memorial service for him.

This is it.

We've been living here for over 30 years.

This is quite nice.

There's a small yard in the back.

Pork belly and makgeolli would

go down nicely.

Sounds good.

Pork belly, makgeolli, and

radish naengmyeon.

Perfect!

I'll go get some.

No, I'll go.

This is why Cheolhui liked me.

I shouldn't have said that.

Mom.

Where are you going?

What are you doing here?

You're supposed to be at

the spa with Ms. Jang.

Are you out of your mind?

You should've warned me about spas.

Women would die for that spa.

How could I get naked and

have a bath with her?

Mom! Wait!

I'll take you to the public sauna.

I'll scrub your back.

No.

This is terrible.

Mom, 5 more minutes.

I need to talk to you.

Dad is back at the house.

Today isn't his memorial service day.

I guess he heard me cursing.

Mom, sorry.

We tried to make things smooth.

What are you talking about?

I don't know how this happened,

but I'm sure he's our father.

He doesn't remember us.

He doesn't know his name.

He doesn't remember me or Hyeonjeong.

He might not remember you, either.

What are you talking about?

Dad is back home.

Did you hire a shaman?

No.

Why did you come home so early?

Let's go.

Let's meet your father's ghost.

No.

He's real.

Are you saying that he came back to life?

I think he's dad.

The one that Moran bumped into?

The one who looks like your father?

How did you find him?

I'm going crazy here.

What are you talking about?

I want to find out if he's a ghost or a man.

They look happy.

Is this the owner's family?

Yes.

This is the first daughter, and this is the 2nd.

You look the same as when you were little.

Do you want to see the main bedroom?

Wait! Where's the makgeolli?

She'll be back soon.

I'll go get it.

I'll go to the store.

I want to look around the neighborhood.

Yes! Kim Cheolhui is my husband.

Yes, the Gwigongja Tailor Shop.

He gets his suit there all the time.

The bar caught on fire...

Mom!

Mom!

Were you shocked about the memorial service?

If he really looks like you,

I'll serve him a warm meal.

Mom, please be strong.

Where's the ghost of your father?

Honey!

Cheolhui!

Where did he go?

Hyeonjeong! Dad!

Stop talking nonsense!

This is weird.

Hyeonsuk, I'm worried about you.

What's wrong with you?

This is crazy!

Hyeonjeong! Are you in there?

How silly am I?

Why am I disappointed?

I guess I even wanted to see his lookalike.

The store isn't far away.

Where the heck did she go?

Mother.

Hyeonsuk!

Hyeonjeong! Where are you?

Hello?

I guess this is your house.

Your girls said they'd cook

naengmyeon for me.

Mom, are you okay?

Are you okay?

Honey, are you okay?

- Mom! / - Are you okay?

- Mom! / - Mother!

Are you okay?

Mom, pull yourself together.

Mom!

Honey, are you okay?

Mom!

Mother!

What the heck are you doing?

Go away, ghost! Go away!

Go away!

Will I Ever Feel Okay? Hopelessness & Visualization - Duration: 9:46.

Hey guys! It's Jo and welcome back to

Trauma Talk! Please ignore my dogs

crunching toys in the background they're

busy being adorable you know like they

do. I hope you are sitting down which you

probably are because you're watching a

video because this is going to be an

interesting video I think. I hope I do it

justice, so buckle your seat belts and

let's get started! Also just a quick

heads-up I think this is probably going to

be a little bit more intense than the

videos that usually do so sort of a

trigger warning just wanted to let you

know something I have been trying to

address lately in counseling is my

inability to be alone and quiet. I cannot

deal with meditation because it involves

really being in tune with myself and

quiet and that makes me panic. I can't be

alone and not have a distraction like an

audio book or something going on because

I get so incredibly anxious so quickly

and so this past week my counselor was

like well let's actually dive into that

like what are you scared of why isn't

your mind a safe place - and I had some

routine answers but as I really

started to dig in I realized really what

it is and this will probably sound weird,

and I hope I do it justice in trying to

describe it. But when the worst of

everything happened, specifically October

30th 2011, which was the day I was raped

but not for the first time, but it

was the day when things were the worst, and

I realized I realized what was going on

I felt like I was murdered. Obviously I

wasn't, but that's emotionally what it

felt like and ever since then I have

always felt to some extent when things

are quiet like part of me is bleeding

out - like there's an open wound and it

will not heal. And I think more than that

I have felt like

that girl, that girl who died, that girl

who was before, she's not quite dead like

she's she's a part of me still but she's

covered in open wounds and bruises and

the scary part is is she doesn't care.

She doesn't care that she's bleeding out

she doesn't care that she's dying she

doesn't care that she was basically

murdered

she's very hopeless, she's given up on

life, she couldn't handle what happened

and it's not the kind of hopeless

that's dark and despairing...it's a hopeless

that almost feels like a weight being

lifted off because nothing matters and

the world isn't safe so why would you

stay here? That's what she says to me and

so when things are quiet I think I get

really scared that that girl - and yes I

do realize I'm talking about myself but

for the sake of explaining what goes on

in my mind I'm gonna explain it like it

goes on my mind but that girl - that girl

who's dying starts whispering to me what

she feels is truth and I'm afraid I'll

listen I'm afraid that I will see the

appeal in hopelessness and see the

appeal in giving up on any variety of

levels so there is a part of me that has

always been so focused on healing on

getting better on finding tools on

attempting to find a healthy way of

existing in this post-traumatic world in

my head and in my life and then there's

another side of me that honestly wonders

if anything can ever really be better.

That wonders if the bleeding will ever

stop when I get quiet

and I was doing a lot of thinking about

this today in combination with the

conversation I had with my counselor and

something she brought up which made a

lot of sense to me that was essentially that

girl "that" girl is the 19 year old me

when everything happened, and she said if

you saw a 19 year old girl on the side

of the road who was covered in you know

gashed open wounds and knife wounds and

bruises and was bleeding out and dying

and you ran up to her to help and she

said don't worry about it it's fine I

don't want to be here anyways it's never

gonna get better don't even bother

calling for help would you listen to her

or would you call 9-1-1 and do

everything you could to help her while

help arrived? Obviously the answer is

you would help her, you wouldn't listen

to the person who is so severely injured

because they're not thinking straight,

because they are so, so not okay that

they need help and I think that is how I

need to start treating this person in my

mind and I think that there is a lot of

benefit to integration in accepting that

person accepting that that person is me

accepting that that is just another

facet of trauma another facet of how I

think of what happened and then it's

okay to wonder about those things it's

okay to wonder if it's ever really going

to feel better it's okay to feel that

hopelessness is really appealing, sometimes,

it's okay to speak that stuff out, but, all of that,

that darkness and hopelessness

and what

ultimately comes down to despair and

giving up and bleeding out and feeling

like nothing will ever help those wounds

that is a girl on the side of the road

who cannot think straight and the

version of me

that believes in life that knows that it

does get better because it has that

knows that it can continue to get better

that loves life and sees beauty in it

and is so grateful to be here I can help

that girl I can help that girl inside of

the road I can listen to her I can

understand where she's coming from I can

have compassion but I can also get help

for her and that's what I'm doing in

being in counseling that's what I'm

doing and trying to listen to myself and

trying to engage in finding good coping

mechanisms in finding good people to you

know be around and listen to you and

just heal the best that I can and

continue to but I don't have to be

scared of that part of me of that piece

of my mind that feels like hopelessness

is the answer, it feels like like I am

bleeding out and it's never gonna be

okay - and I'm honestly not sure how much

of this made sense I'm honestly not sure

if I'm even gonna post this video right

now - but I wanted to share that because I

wonder if other people don't maybe feel

the same way in some fashion and my goal

with this channel has a always been to

be honest about the fact that you're not

alone, you're not weird, you're not alone,

and you're not weird, and be there is

life after trauma, and if you're thinking

similar thoughts it's okay. It's okay

that I'm thinking those thoughts that's

okay to find help too

and you're not alone and I'm not alone.

And I do believe it gets better

sometimes I have a really hard time

believing that - it's my puppy barking - but

I know it's true regardless of what I

feel well I know that it does get better

and so that is the truth I am going to

rationally operate off of

and it's okay to acknowledge the

emotional side of me that sometimes

feels like it never ever will. So that's

what I wanted to share with you guys

today I honestly hope some of that made

sense. Let me know if you've ever felt

like this or experienced anything

similar, I would love to hear your

thoughts. I look forward to seeing you in

the next video.

This is Trauma Talk, on this channel like
