Waching daily Sep 6 2018

- Today we have a special interview,

it's actually three parts,

it's with two of my childhood friends

and we're at a company called Drip Club.

Andrew, how's it going?

- Good man, thanks for having me.

- What is Drip Club exactly, what do you guys do?

- We evolved over time, but today we do product development.

So we develop and distribute our own brands,

so e-liquids, in the United States and all over the world.

- If I'm a vape shop, or something like that,

I'd probably go to you guys for different flavors,

is that how it works?

- In the beginning we used to sell

a lot directly to vape shops, but now

we're kinda changing our model a bit

where we're focusing more on the product

branding side and we're working with distribution partners

to get the product out to the shops.

- We all have our own entrepreneurial journey,

you have yours, Jonathan which will be on in a little bit,

we all have our different ones,

but how did you get to where you are now?

You had a company before this.

- The very first company that I started was called

Stoom Room, was a online rental service for costumes.

College students, they do a lot of theme parties,

we want to create a service where

they didn't have to buy the costumes.

That was the first business I started,

I started out with my girlfriend at the time.

- What you look like you learned from that?

- I think you should think very carefully

about going to business with your significant other

because I think there's a lot of challenges and stress

and anxiety and that can put a lot of strain

on a relationship.

Now, a lot of people do it and they

make it work, but I think it's challenging.

- It's very small percentage that can make it work.

- Yeah, it's very small. - 'Cause I think you're

working all day, you're thinking about work

but then when you go home you're thinking about it again.

- Exactly, and when that happens,

you're seeing them ever day, that's tough.

When you have disagreements in the business

it's really tough to separate that from your personal life,

especially if you guys are boyfriend girlfriend,

husband and wife.

- I think it was Bill Campbell,

the guy that mentored Steve Jobs and these other people

in Silicon Valley,

said, "Don't ever work with your friends."

Talk about this business now.

- Ah man, that's tough, I feel like--

- You're working with one of your best friends

- Yeah, I'm working with one of my best friends.

No matter when you're looking for a business partner,

the process is the same, whether their a friend or not

and I think it's identifying the values,

work ethic is important, you want

somebody that is in the trenches with you

who's willing to roll up their sleeves.

I think looking back, one thing that we probably should

have done too, and I think is

really useful, is taking a personality test.

There's different services that can do it

and their free, you can go online.

It's interesting too 'cause we took that personality test

and all three of our personalities,

completely complementary. - Complement each other.

- We're all different, in different ways.

I think communication's really important.

- So what I'm hearing is A, setup boundaries initially.

- [Andrew] Definitely.

- And then you also have to have criteria.

Then the third thing is taking like a Myers-Briggs,

or even like a Tony Robbins DISC assessment.

- Yeah, personality test, to see where.

How Have My Supplements Impacted My Hormones? - Duration: 13:06.

I would give you some highlights of my

test result I was going to do a full

video on supplements tonight but I'm

gonna do it when I get back from Maine

hi thanks for clicking on Simply Tanika

I am Tanika if you are new here welcome

hit that subscribe button let's hang out

a while if you are returning welcome

back

let's get those babies ladies all right

all done that was a lot less painful

than the hsg so you were right butterfly

poet there was pressure but I fell fine

now I don't actually even need tylenol

so I'm gonna get out over to the

doctor's office scale but this scale did

say I was 158 and it was 160 last week

so no matter what for sure I lost two

pounds

whether it's calibrated correctly or not

meaning I think I was really 155 and it

might be not calibrated and I'd be like

153 but as long as we're all the scales

are in agreement that I lost weight I'm

happy now I'm just waiting for a doctor

hi fam all right I've made it home I was

going to do a full video on supplements

tonight but I'm gonna do it when I get

back from me I've still got a pack I've

got something in the dryer that I had to

turn off so that you don't hear the

noise in the background and I didn't

want to come out and close so I will

give you some highlights of my test

results and then I will go into when I

get back like what the action plan is as

far as what supplements I'll be taking

what lifestyle changes I'll be making so

bloodwork is good my white blood count

is a little low so she wants to see me

back in 30 days just to retest it the

lowest it should be is four and it is at

three point one three so we'll see we'll

test it again three day she wasn't

really worried about it it's interesting

because this was not going to for me and

my FSH was 16.2 which was good for some

reason it was at 22 on cycle day 3 when

I went to the clinic I mean 16 is not

great we still want to get it below 15

but I feel like it's moving in the right

direction because remember in the other

video I'll link it here I need it to be

lower than 15 to have an over 5 percent

chance of a successful pregnancy so

those were all good my TSH was this

which is the thyroid hormone was one

point zero four zero which it's gone

down my last test which was oh it was

February February 28 was my last test it

was one point six so that's moving in

the right direction t4 is 6.2 which is

right in the middle the range for this

lab is four point nine to twelve point

nine so mine is six point two t3 uptake

or t3 u is at thirty three point seven

the high end of that is 39 and it's a

percentage so I it's kind of on the high

side but she said she wasn't worried

we'll see what the nephrologist says

about it if he says anything and I also

asked the the endocrinologist at

Columbia and see if she's concerned

about it when I get back I'll probably

email this over to them but I'm again

running late I won't have time to do all

that so I'm trying to get to Blues house

tonight

we don't leave tomorrow until three but

now we are Lee

on Thursday I thought before we leave

Friday but now I've gotten both my

appointments done so we can leave

tomorrow we're picking up the rental car

at 3:00 so I just want to get everything

like wrapped up finish editing videos

and take a little break

okay so Oh a trial X was 11.5 on cycling

2 which was a luteinizing hormone so it

was normal for the follicular phase mid

cycle peak you would expect it to be 14

295 based on this this lab and luteal

phase RB from one to eleven point four

so there's that what else have we got

here prolactin serum is nine point nine

the high end of prolactin is twenty

three point three the low is four point

eight so I'm closer to the low end not

even in the mid range therefore

prolactin and that was one of the things

I'm sure you guys have seen a lot of

videos if the prolactin is high it can

inhibit pregnancy right that's prolactin

is what we create when we're pregnant

and in fact the range in the third

trimester of pregnancy for prolactin is

95 to 473 it's your body getting ready

to make milk so yeah I stirred all three

is what they tested here so the Esther

doll first is sixteen point five one

again this was cycle day two it's in

range follicular phase it should be

between six point two three one five so

remember there's a relationship between

the estrogen and the FSH and so that

those are good the FSH is not too high

again at sixteen it could be lower but

the extra doll is also not elevated if

it was really high then that would mean

that the FSH was falsely left with the

follicle stimulating hormone if that

doesn't make sense leave it down below I

know some of you guys already know it so

I don't want to be redundant if you

don't and you want further explanation

leave me know down below and I'll be

happy to go into the relationship

between FSH which is follicle

stimulating hormone and Esther Dolly to

at the beginning of the cycle during the

follicular phase so folic acid is still

high so I'm actually I've been taking

folate so I'm gonna lay off the folate

folate is the

metabolically active form of folic acid

mine is over 24 which is their marking

it as excessive right I've been taking

it anything over 5.3 eight is good over

24 is high it was also over 24 On

February 28 there is folic acid in my

prenatal so I'll just continue to take

the prenatal and not take additional and

I had been taking the pregnant to which

also had folic acid in it so I won't be

taking that anymore

it had folic acid in my note I miss at

all I think besides I don't vote me on

that one okay so urinalysis nothing

exciting that what we got my vitamin b12

is 809 is my result the range is between

211 and 911 so I'm on the high end of

that so I feel good about my vitamin b12

my vitamin D is at fifty nine point

seven the ranges from 32 to 100 so I am

a little better than middle but I will

continue to take my vitamin D

supplements when I was there in February

it was forty four point seven so I have

increased it which I feel good about

that vitamin D is one of the things

that's recommended for us when we're

prepping for pregnancy and I'm taking

250 milligrams a day or 10,000 IU so I

think that's helped I would continue

with that so it's saying that I'm

sufficient in the range that I am in I

was sufficient before but again higher

is better for trying to conceive I will

say to I love that my doctor was honest

and she said I don't know how to

interpret all these for someone who was

trying to get pregnant which i think is

so important because sometimes we think

that doctors have all the answers right

because they're doctors I went to

medical school but they worked in

specific fields and she's a GP choose a

general practitioner so she's not going

to know what a reproductive

endocrinologist knows and I think that's

key because even like your OB will not

know what the reproductive

endocrinologist knows not that they

don't know everything or similar things

it's just that they don't have that

level of extensive training so while

this looks normal if I'm just a normal

person walking around there may be

tweaks that need to be made for

my Reproductive Endocrinology to be

improved and so I loved that she said

that and that she's knows that I'm

trying to have a child and is supportive

of that and is like telling me okay ask

your other doctor about this because I'm

not sure um beautiful thing and I think

it's important for us to remember like

just because someone has a an MD behind

their name doesn't mean they know

everything about the human body or what

all this means which was nice and I

think it's always good to like partner

with your doctors and ask questions and

advocate for yourselves and I felt like

for ourselves for today

I felt like both with dr. McConnell and

dr. Thorton I was able to do that and I

don't know if it's because they're both

women of color and I feel that

connection with them or if it's just

their bedside manner but I definitely

have felt like they've been partners in

my health and helping me advocate for

myself and not making me feel like I'm

asking each other questions and just

like very helpful talkative if I ask a

question they answer it fully they don't

water it down I like that I like that I

think that's important for all of us

moving on so vitamin D is what we did

last DHEA my DHEA sulfate is 92 and for

someone of my age it should be within

the range of 26 to 287 so not quite in

the middle so I am going to increase my

DHEA then I had lowered it which is

where is it I have lowered it I had been

taking 75 and then my last test area

last test it was 399 which was higher

than the 287 for the range now it's 92

so I think I can go back to three DHEA

tablets a day which will be 75

milligrams I had taken it down because

it had been so high I wanted it to be in

range actually with 30 year old so up to

you know for 32 so I think up into three

we'll check again in three months if I'm

not pregnant and see if it makes sense

to keep taking that but I do feel

overall it's good for the egg quality

and so I have an extra month to work on

my equality thing

to the polyp which I'm looking at as a

blessing in disguise and I think I will

utilize that and take as many

supplements that make sense based on my

test results as needed okay so those

were my DHEA testosterone retested it

was twelve point nine last time we did

not test the testosterone a few guys

that reached out to me and we're like

saying you would taking your DHE sulfate

and your testosterone in tandem I didn't

take it last time DHEA is not a

testosterone it is an androgen that will

convert so I hadn't been worried about

it but I was like let's just take it to

be safe and see where I am so it store

point nine there is a scale here does it

say age this is multiple ranges but I'm

in range for all of them it says tanner

stage oh here we go just adults it

should be between 15 and 70 so it's

actually on the low side twelve point

nine is what I have so it's below but

she wasn't worried about it and then

testosterone calculated oh free

testosterone which is separate from the

testosterone so the other one was total

testosterone which was twelve point nine

and the free testosterone is two point

four three the range is between point

seven seven and nine point three so it's

on the low end but good so that's kind

of it for the cholesterol is great my

ratio is three point six I want it to be

less than five point eight all those

look good

so that's it got my T test results done

I can check that box off on the goals if

you haven't seen the close video take a

look over here but yeah I can check that

off that's done I will take this to the

apologist when I go to chalk talk about

my kidney and the work that I'm having

done and we should be in good shape I

feel good about it when I come back I

promise I will sit down and go through

what all the supplements are because I

know a lot of people have joined the

family since I did my own supplement

video and you have no idea why I'm

taking any of these pills and so I will

sit down and talk to you when I get back

from Maine all right ladies I hope that

you are well I hope that you're being

very good to yourself if not please take

a moment and take care of yourself

alright if you like this video please

consider giving it a thumbs

share it with everybody you know let's

take the shame out of infertility there

is nothing to be ashamed of one in eight

women are suffering from it let's talk

about it talk to you later bye baby does

to you

We want to get all of your income documentation up front your, usually your most recent check stub, your last two years of W-2's.

They may need your tax returns if you're self-employed.

You also want to have copies of all of your bank statements so that we can verify where your funds are coming from,

copy of your driver's license and social security card.

If you're

renting it's very important that you pay for your rent with a check so that you can show a paper trail of where your monthly

payments are coming from and just make sure you can have copies of all of that.

Okay, so they want the bank statements mostly to verify where the down-payment and your closing costs are coming from.

Typically an underwriter's not going to allow you to make a loan for your closing cost of your down payment.

So they definitely want to see what's called, "seasoned funds money,"

that's been your account for at least 60 days. Now, if it is something where there's a large deposit

you can, and you can trace it, that's okay, too. So, if it's something like a tax return that you just got or a

settlement from a lawsuit, a gift from a family member as long as you can track it

It's not going to raise any red flags, but if you just, you know, you typically have

$1,000 every two weeks go into your account and then all of a sudden they see a

$10,000 deposit, the underwriter's going to question that. They're gonna want to be able to trace where it came from

because if you made a loan for that money to potentially disqualify you from the loan.

that stuff right well every day when you're pro you don't have that hit to

find your own food G our friend of impact was at this place called

eggslut so hey do you also tells of the show we've got some stuff about a thing

but just the there's no team meal it's weird

Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics

one forward in the 30 football forward number 43 Chris lekawa

officials of the NBA to work this ball game Stephen carriers around

good morning guys today is day two of summer league lead for the Lakers today

last night if you didn't watch fur come on uh say his name is only 20 years old

hit 40 points he hit eight threes and took

like two layups so he killed it but today is Saturday and this I think today

would be seven days in those social media but I'm not going to get back on

social media and until summer league is over so so far it's been good I mean

less stressful my wife still addicted to social media but now I have to go to

shoot around and and get some breakfast and do all that fun stuff alright guys

so today another disappointment your sucks they said I'm not playing again

Jen what do you have to say

see not like maybe on a candle out one man baby things

so you heard it first from Jen and it's not easy no matter how good how many

times you play where you played to hear you're not even gonna play so just so

weird feeling there's a lesson to be learned in everything I'm still trying

to figure out the lesson it's not always perfect but I promise you all it'll all

work out on the bright side of things I got the blue jerseys and I got some new

shoes

I just got back from the game and sided boy hit that 3 so what y'all started

where ball that shot boy brah what do you Brody I'm in Cheney he came

back to to use rapid boots but now he was at the game you know Sean loves

showing support so get you some friends like Cheney who social for whether

you're in the game or I tell me what you were doing when I got in the game and we

were down by 20 bout in the game hey that's my guy I want to work out and I

told you I'm like hey if you love me you know you're the captain of this of this

ship we got you said cable get me a chipolte I'm hungry

so liked well he's a little bit away a little bit of a walk and I come back and

she's sitting in her row like a king or something with like a king with the

Chipotle in the back and what was your command I must do before I get Chipotle

this how I go what are some up kisses from their husband this one okay lips

just lips I don't want my face to get like all dry me look good I'm sexy yeah

you've been sweating also only have sweat stain for your shirt I don't know

if you can see that

but also on your back I just got done with my workout and um a lot of people

have been asking me what my workout it's this stuff so I'll be making a video on

my workout so stay tuned to that but I'm about to go to eggslut because Raj and I

are starving

all right so my grandpa's teach me a little bit about family history and he

has this screen just for family history this is a big screen grandpa he's done

40 years reconize me next week when you know how to tease again wait wait you don't

have any teeth right now you took them out they got loose started getting

infections so I had a full doctor next Tuesday I get a whole new place well the

thing is the thing is we're just alike because I look just like you to people

no no why right here yeah these on two three

take me there are capsules they put them on top of my my other teeth okay

so say we want to do research

laughing we got to have people a day we're going to go in here too

how long does it take you to put all that together well

what all those up there those hellos for me that's we're all work out then at the

temple okay we keep them all well no that's probably two or three years but

I've had okay now let's say that I wanted to look

and see if that only does it's really early and Jen's leaving to head back to

Utah today I'm super-tired considers 8 12 in the

morning I went to see for like 11:30 so shes leaving we play today and if we

lose we head home so since you bought standby it's not a smart to leave

I'll pair to the bacon and gueda bacon included yes

so she had that

and I leave at 10:00 I get there at 12

all right so just come back from the game and ferky he's from Turkey you guys

play the game winning shot I got to play a little bit more so it's fun it's

crazy how like how much you understand you love

the game when you don't play

you're like they have missing something a basic apart of T so first of all the

first thing is we got the win that's the most important and I got to play more Oh

guys so today is Sunday so we won yesterday and we're playing Memphis

today and games kind of late the games late tonight as well I just want to talk

to you guys kind of about like how do you take care of your body and stuff

like that so um think of that I left the bed a little bit later last night and I

woke up and I feel like to get your body going you've got to kind of like do

something in the morning right so I always wake up I drank my mushroom tea

and I read my scriptures and then I just wanted a some active recovery clip so

that consisted of cheese spine stuff stretching foam roller body movements

just to get the body woke up and yeah I sweated a little bit wasn't too hard but

just kind of gonna get it going a little bit and that's what makes me feel the

best it's all about like a routine and what your routine is stuff like that so

now me some breakfast we don't really do anything until like three or four games

a seven with like Memphis so yeah comment below like what routines do you

guys do like to keep your body going and staying in a rhythm he's kept up you

guys know that I am the only person with the last name Brian to wear 23 since

Kobe's that word random fact of the day I don't know why I told you guys that

what we on oh yeah ay-ay-ay

it's alright guys well that wraps up summer league show y'all the stuff that

they gave us at the end so I have warm-ups dirty socks jerseys towards

jersey shorts shorts gear more gear gear

gummies and I just want to say that you must always stay ready no matter what

isn't life right so throughout this up I learned a lot of things summer league was a

great experience for me I always want to thank Philadelphia 76ers for allowing me

to play on their summer league team and I learned a lot made a lot of great

people and will continue to take those things I learned there to further my

professional career so thanks for coming with me thanks for enjoying this the UPS

the downs the sides lows all that stuff and

appreciate you guys probably do a giveaway for some shorts or something so

if you guys will do something like that comment below but we'll keep you guys

updated in back to Utah in the morning at 5:00 in the morning so we'll see you

guys, love you

Essential Oils and Emotions: How Essential Oils Work In the Brain To Change The Way You Think & Feel - Duration: 11:30.

Tara Wagner: Have you ever felt like your emotions were in control of you, instead of

the other way around, like you couldn't do the things you wanted to do because of the

way you were feeling?

Well, I'm going to show you how to change that using the chemistry of essential oils

to impact the way you think, feel, and act.

If you're new to my YouTube channel, be sure to subscribe to get new weekly videos on boss

lady mindsets, productivity habits, and an essential oil A to Z for your thoughts and

emotions.

Tara Wagner: What's happening, boss lady?

I'm Tara Wagner, your breakthrough coach, helping you to get it done but feel great

doing it.

In this video, I want to introduce you to my secret weapon.

This is something that I have used to help literally thousands of women and men change

the way they think, the way they feel, even help them to create new habits.

Tara Wagner: Now, I've been working with and using essential oils for a very long time.

I started back in 2000, actually.

But it wasn't until I was introduced to doTerra in 2012 that I really started to look into

and research the effect of essential oils on our emotions and on our limbic system.

Since then, I have researched, I've studied, I've talked to experts, and I've used them

for myself and on my coaching clients, to help us to do things like overcome overwhelm,

manage stress, rewrite limiting beliefs, and change the way that we're thinking, we're

feeling, we're showing up in our business and in our lives.

This is literally one of my favorite tools for belief breakthrough and emotional well-being.

Today, you're going to understand why, so let's dive in.

Tara Wagner: In order to understand how essential oils impact thoughts and emotions, you have

to understand a little bit about how your brain works.

Within your brain is something called the limbic system.

This is referred to as the emotional center of your brain, because literally every thought,

emotion, conscious and unconscious memory, knee-jerk reaction, personality trait, feeling

of stress, or life lesson you've ever experienced, is thought to be held here, in your limbic

system.

It's like a storage unit, and one of its jobs is to help you to process current situations

in the tiniest fraction of a second to help you to determine, based on past situations,

what is the best or safest way for you to think, feel, or react now?

Tara Wagner: This is a self-preservation mechanism, basically to ensure that you are playing it

safe, hanging out in your comfort zone, and that no harm is going to come to you.

All this information is stored in a way that keeps it pretty inaccessible to you as well,

which is why it's so frustrating when we're trying to change these things, and we feel

like we can't do it.

Think of your thoughts and emotions like wagon wheels, just traveling the same pathways over

and over until they create these really deep ruts.

We literally get stuck in these thought or emotional patterns, these ruts in our mind,

and it can feel really impossible to get out of.

Tara Wagner: Now, also within your limbic system is something called your olfactory

bulb.

This is literally your sense of smell.

And this is really unique, because it's the only one of your senses that's processed in

this part of your brain, right alongside your thoughts and emotions.

Your olfactory bulb relays information directly into your limbic system.

But it's not just relaying smells.

It's actually relaying the things associated with smell.

This is because your olfactory neurons themselves are capable of learning and remembering information,

and they're constantly undergoing something called neurogenesis, meaning they're constantly

renewing.

Every six to 10 weeks, they are brand new neurons, ready to take in new information,

and relay that to your limbic system as new messages.

Tara Wagner: By the way, researchers are actually finding these olfactory neurons all over our

body.

Did you know your liver can actually smell what's going through it?

Now, remember all this, because we're going to come back to it.

Tara Wagner: But let's shift gears first, and talk about the oils for a minute.

Essential oils are made up of natural and aromatic compounds.

Most people these days understand how they work within the body.

Lavender soothes and calms irritated skin, and peppermint stimulates digestion, and melaleuca,

or tea tree oil, promotes healing.

Well, just as these oils work with different systems of the body, the aromatic compounds

are also working within the systems of your brain.

Tara Wagner: Working through that olfactory bulb, some oils are going to calm certain

areas of the limbic system.

Others are going to stimulate.

It can bring up memories, they can help us process trauma, they can increase confidence

and courage, all by interacting with the limbic system, either by themselves, or, this is

where it gets juicy, when you're using them with other practices.

Tara Wagner: By the way, if you're a science geek like me, I'm going to include some links

in the description below, so that you can see some more research on this.

It's really, really cool.

Tara Wagner: Anyone can use oils and feel better in the moment.

You can diffuse florals and trees, and help you to calm down and go to sleep.

You can use citrus and mints to kind of perk you up and give you some energy.

But if you want to actually use them to rewrite the way you think and feel, a casual approach

is not going to do the trick, because all that's happening when you're using them casually

is a simple chemical response.

It's helpful in the moment, but it's not actually changing the long-term habits or patterns

that are going on in your brain.

Tara Wagner: When you want to permanently change the way you think, feel, or act, you

want to rewrite limiting beliefs, or you want to overcome deeply ingrained fears, you need

a much more disciplined approach to get the benefits of these oils.

Remember when I said the olfactory bulb relays messages associated with aroma?

This is the key.

Tara Wagner: When you use the right essential oils with the right tools, whether that's

therapy, journaling, affirmations, meditation, or any other personal development work, the

oils you're using not only interact on that chemical level, but the olfactory bulb actually

carries those new positive messages that you're creating or experiencing straight into the

limbic system, to be written as new programming.

So, yes, oils themselves can make you feel good, but oils coupled with the right tools

can make it permanent.

Leave me a comment below, and let me know which thoughts or emotions you would love

to find an oil for.

Tara Wagner: Now, there are a few rules to make sure that you're doing this right, and

actually getting results, so let's go through those one at a time.

Rule number one, you must be consistent.

Every thought, every emotion, every action that you have is reinforcing the patterns

that are already there.

This means to see results in changing these things, you have to be consistent, both in

the work that you're doing, and in the oils that you're using.

So, I recommend that you create a daily practice for personal development, and then you incorporate

the same essential oils into it every single day.

Tara Wagner: Also, make sure that you're carrying those oils with you, and that you're diffusing

them throughout the day as well.

And since during your personal practice you're going to be creating associations between

the aroma and the work that you're doing, just smelling that aroma later throughout

the day is going to help bring up that work again.

Tara Wagner: Rule number two is to give yourself enough time to really see the results.

This won't work if you've just done it for a week, and then you throw in the towel.

Remember what I was saying about those olfactory neurons, they're regenerating every six to

10 weeks?

I actually recommend that you stick with the same practice and same oils for at least that

long.

Tara Wagner: Rule number three, don't use crap oils.

I personally use and recommend only doTerra essential oils, because after 18 plus years

using these oils, I have never seen anything like doTerra's.

Fake and adulterated essential oils are a huge issue in the industry right now because

there's so many companies that are trying to compete on price instead of quality.

But you don't want to be inhaling that into your limbic system.

So, if you need some help in figuring out the right oils for your budget and your needs,

let me know, and I will walk you through the best options to get you started.

Tara Wagner: Rule number four is to get specific, both in what you're working on and in the

oils that you're using.

A lot of oils have very similar properties, but with slight distinctions or variations

that could make a huge difference for you.

So, you really want to get specific in what you're using.

However, I will say that I like to use blends because I find that I cover the most bases,

and then I don't have to worry about it.

That being said, you can make this a little bit easier by understanding the categories

of oils, and how each category of oils impact you on an emotional level.

Tara Wagner: For instance, florals are going to be very calming and relaxing.

Trees are going to be very grounding and stabilizing.

Your mint oils are going to be very invigorating.

Your citrus oils are going to be very energizing.

And then things like herbs or spices, they tend to do more of the complex heavy lifting.

Tara Wagner: Then rule number five, do not pick an oil based on how it smells.

Our response to an oil's aroma might give us some clues, but just because we don't like

the way it smells, it doesn't mean it's not going to do its job.

So, pick an oil based on its benefits, not its aroma.

Tara Wagner: I do, however, want you to pay attention to your reaction.

What I find is that there's three common reactions that people will have.

They're either going to be strongly drawn to an oil, strongly repulsed by the smell,

or it's just going to be kind of neutral.

In my experience, a strong attraction tends to correlate to our readiness or our consciousness

around particular issues or emotions.

Maybe we know we're working on them, or we know we need to work on them, or we feel ready

to work on them.

A strong repulsion tends to mean that we're bringing up something that we might not be

ready for, or that we might not be as conscious of, or we might be resisting the work.

Then neutral, it's just neutral.

Tara Wagner: Also, as you're paying attention to that initial response, pay attention to

how your response changes as you work with the oil.

Both the way that you feel about the oil, and the smell of the oil itself, is going

to change based on your emotional state in that moment.

As you're working through different issues, and your emotions start to shift, the aroma

and your response to the aroma is going to shift with it.

It's really, really cool.

Tara Wagner: Okay.

Now you know how essential oils and emotions work, and you know the five rules to make

sure that you're going to get the best out of them.

But at this point, you might feel a little bit overwhelmed with where to actually start,

with so many different emotions, so many different oils, so many different things you might want

to be addressing.

So, I created a free guide to walk you through my top 10 recommendations, specifically for

boss ladies.

This is going to walk you through not only the oils, but the emotions that they address,

and affirmations that you can start using with each and every one.

It's called Sniff, Sniff, Affirm, and you can download it for free with the link in

the description.

Tara Wagner: Now, I'd love to hear from you.

How do you use essential oils for emotions or personal development?
