Waching daily Sep 7 2018

Hi everyone, I'm Karen, welcome back to my channel.

Today I'm going to be showing you five ways to embellish a plain shirt.

They're all super simple, there is a little bit of sewing, but not with a machine just

hand sewing, trust me, anyone can do these.

Also I think all of them could work no matter what type of shirt you want to work on - I

went to H&M and I just bought a bunch of plain crop tops but if you feel more comfortable

in a like full-coverage t-shirt, I think pretty much all of them should still work, no matter

what cut of shirt you feel the most comfortable in.

Also can I just brag for a second.

I walked into H&M with fifty dollars worth of gift cards, I walked around picking up

everything that I wanted, not really keeping track of how much it was all gonna cost.

And then I got up to the register and my total was 49 dollars and like, 15 cents.

You guys.

I think I'm like a secret psychic shopping savant.

Ok anyway, let's get into the DIYs.

So for this first one I'm using a crop top that was literally three dollars as well as

a necklace from the sale section which was also three dollars.

A little hack is to always look at the accessories on sale not just to use them for what they're

used for but to take them apart.

For this necklace, I'm using using jewelry pliers to open up the jump rings holding it

all together.

So I ended up with this chain which I can now use in a different project.

And I have these leaf beads, which are actually really good quality, they're made of metal

and they're really sturdy.

But I can't put black decorations on a black shirt, so I went ahead and spray painted them

white.

Next I arranged my design on the shirt and I decided to just use the larger leaves to

make this cute neckline.

I'm using black embroidery thread and a needle and I'm just going to sew each one

of them on.

Now you can see that when I tug on it, it isn't going anywhere.

However I realized that with black thread on a black shirt, you couldn't really see

what I was doing, so I did one in yellow just so that you guys could see it better, but

I actually cut that off and redid it in black afterwards so it would match the others.

So once all of those were on there, I didn't actually love how they were all kind of flopping

around, so I threaded my needle with normal sewing thread and I just put in one stitch

through this bottom hole to keep them in place.

And that's it.

I love how this came out, it's definitely something I would have picked up at the store,

but I made it for six dollars instead of the twenty it probably would have cost off the

rack.

Next I'm actually using the exact same shirt, I bought two of them.

I also got these patches off the sale rack, and the label said they were fifty percent

off of the original eight dollars, but when I got up to the register, they only charged

me one dollar each.

Two dollars for all these patches, I think that's a pretty good deal.

It took me a few minutes to decide which one I wanted to put on the shirt, but I ended

up going with this Um, no patch.

So just follow the directions that come with whatever patches you're using - mine says

to set my iron to the cotton setting and then press it down over a damp cloth for one minute.

And after a minute, turn it over and iron the back of the shirt for another minute.

And that's it.

I love this so much and I kind of want to go back and get a bunch more of these shirts

to put the rest of the patches onto those as well.

Next I got this shirt which is a similar cut but it's more of a ribbed type of fabric.

I also have this rainbow gradient ric rac, which is actually left over from a project

I did ages ago on Handmade where I made ric rac flowers.

So to use up the rest of this, I decided to just add it to the bottom of the shirt.

I couldn't really sew it on, because it's so many different colors that I would have

had to use like 10 different colors of thread and that just seemed like way too much work.

So instead I just used fabric glue to glue it down.

I did the middle of the shirt first and let that set for about 20 minutes.

And then I came back to cut off the excess and make sure the ends were glued down securely.

One thing to note with this is that since the ric rac isn't stretchy and the fabric

glue isn't stretchy, it kind of makes the shirt harder to take on and off, I have to

do a little wiggle every time.

So just make sure you don't go all the way around the back, because then it really would

have been impossible to put on.

Just be extra careful with this method if you're working with a stretchy shirt that

doesn't have any other zippers or closures.

But anyway, this took no time at all and I love how it adds a little unique touch without

being so out there that everyone is like, what the heck is she wearing?

Speaking of which, for this next one I may have gone a little pom pom crazy.

You might recognize this shirt since I wear it all the time in my videos, but I bought

a second one and I pulled out this pom pom trim that I got forever ago.

I think it would look so cute around the top of this wide necked shirt.

The trick here is to match your thread to the trim, not to the shirt.

You can see how since I'm using white thread, the stitches just disappear and you don't

have to be super neat since you can't really see them.

So once I got to the end, I made sure to sew down the ends with a bunch of stitches.

And we're done.

I love that this decoration goes all the way around the front and the back, and since I

sewed it on myself, I know that it is totally unique.

And finally, I got a third one of that same three dollar shirt, except in a green color

this time.

For this one, I'm using iron on letters to make a bit of bootleg merch for my favorite

podcast My Favorite Murder.

Obviously you can make yours say whatever you want, but I'm a murderino and I want

the world to know it.

So you'll just want to follow the directions that come with your iron on letters to attach

them on there.

Mine says to set my iron to the cotton setting and press the iron on letters for about 20

seconds.

Then flip it inside out and press the back for another 20 seconds.

And that's it.

The N did end up a little wonky, but otherwise I love this.

One thing to note - if you make this same exact saying, you will need two packages of

the iron on letters which I'll link right down below.

There weren't quite enough E's and D's in one package to do the whole thing.

So I would love to know in a comment right down below which of those ideas was your favorite.

And I know some of you might be wondering if these can still go in the wash, and I think

they should all be ok.

When I wash them, I'll probably air dry them instead of putting them in the dryer,

but as long as you put them in a mesh bag in the washing machine so that they don't

get too banged up, I think they should all be ok.

So if you're still watching all the way to the end, as always, your code word is right

behind me - Shirt Happens.

Put that in the comments and you are going to be my absolute number one favorite person.

Alright, don't forget to like this video and subscribe and I'll see you all next

time.

Ice Shot Glasses For Your Next Party | Mad Genius Tips | Food & Wine - Duration: 1:32.

(upbeat uplifting music)

- I am gonna teach you how to make

a shot glass out of ice.

(upbeat uplifting music)

You will never serve a shot of tequila

the same way after learning this mad genius tip.

The first thing you're gonna do

is start with these everyday little sipping cups.

You can get them pretty much anywhere.

And I'm gonna go ahead and just take some plain water,

fill it about halfway, look at your local party store,

or you can buy these online, these

are just disposable shot glasses.

And I'm gonna go ahead and use a little masking tape

to put it right inside of the little paper cup.

Floating in the water, put some masking tape

in the other direction, and the tape

is going to prevent the little disposable

shot glass from popping out as the water freezes.

Alright, I've got four prepped and ready to go.

And I'm just going to transfer them

to a little baking sheet and I'm gonna pop

these in the freezer for about four hours

until they're nice and soft.

Okay, my shot glasses are ready,

so I'm just going to peel off the masking tape.

The little disposable shot glass

should kind of pop right out just like that,

peel off the paper, and voila.

And this is ready for some tequila,

biggest bottle possible.

And then you go for it.

That is, without a doubt, the coolest

way to take a shot.

(uplifting music)

اغرب 9 حقائق عن الدنمارك | لن تصدق - Top 9 fun facts about Denmark - Duration: 5:03.

If you want to know the story of Råbjerg Mile, watch until the end

Before anything, make sure you subscribe

Hello, Today I am in Denmark

A small country. I do not know to how to describe it

Maybe, The most quiet and cleanest country.

Or maybe, Denmark is considered the "least corrupt" country in the world

A small state located on the North sea.

With a population of 6 million.

There are many facts about Denmark. We'll learn about it in this video

Let me say, this is one of the strangest customs in Denmark

IF YOU'RE UNMARRIED AT 25, YOU'LL GET CINNAMON THROWN ALL OVER YOU AT YOUR BIRTHDAY

I do not know why they use cinnamon specifically.

I think, because cinnamon is used in sweets,

so cinnamon may help in finding a partner for an unmarried person. it is delicious! :))

Denmark has 14 Nobel laureates

With its relatively small population, this is one of the highest numbers of Nobel laureates per capita in the world

I am inside one of the largest Danish warships.

They show their military equipment to citizens.

This button looks like the US President Trump's nuclear button

The shell starts as soon as the button is pressed :)

YOU CAN NEVER BE MORE THAN 52 KM FROM THE SEA

You're never far away from the sea, and it's never more than 1 hour (52 km) away from any point in Denmark

There are about 444 islands in Denmark. Some 70 of them are populated but the remainder are uninhabited.

There are no Mountains in Denmark

THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN IN DENMARK IS ONLY 170.87 METERS TALL

Copenhagen is the only one in the world where there are actually more bikes than people

50% of Copenhageners commute to work every day on bicycle

Denmark's national flag, is the oldest flag in the world still in use by an independent nation

There is a flag in every house here in Denmark

This small country dazzled the world with many things

Of course you know the gaming company Lego. LEGO is actually a Danish company

And it is one of the biggest gaming companies in the World

As you see, I am on the beach. There no people!

The funny thing is, that Denmark has more Pigs than humans :)

Denmark is one of the world's largest exporters of pig meat.

Denmark exports 28 million pigs annually

The name "Bluetooth" was taken from the second name of the king of Denmark "Harald Bluetooth".

who united dissonant Danish tribes into a single kingdom

Now let's talk about "Sahara", which you saw at the beginning of the video

Maybe If I have told you that I am in Dubai or Morocco, you would believe me

Of course no one thinks that there is "Desert" in Denmark

Behind me there is Baltic sea

It connects here with the North sea

The wind is very strong in this area

Råbjerg Mile is a migrating coastal dune between Skagen and Frederikshavn, Denmark

It is the largest moving dune in Northern Europe

The wind moves it in a north-easterly direction up to 18 metres a year

While the majority of dunes were established by planting,

the Råbjerg Mile was left to allow future generations to understand the problem of sand dune drift

This country has inspired me a lot

Oh, there's an ant on my arm

I hope you enjoy this episode

Stay tuned

Always be optimistic!

BLACK MAGIC | Ground Zero 2018 - Duration: 8:33.

We've arrived!

And we'll have a look at all the stages first.

We just made the tour around the festival site.

And I have to say that the visuals are awesome.

Especially at the frenchcore stage and the mainstage.

And now it's time to dance!

Oh boy, what a night!

That set of Le Bask...

My favourite set of the night so far.

And he also played some tracks of GPF...

That was perfect.

It couldn't be better.

Goodbye.

We are walking to the car right now.

I'll make a full review when I'm home or the day after tomorrow.

If you don't want to see this, then leave a like, subscribe and I will see you next time.

But if you do want to see it, stay tuned!

Bye bye!

Hello.

Hey cuties.

Hey guys, it's Tuesday now.

I let it all sink in and I thought about it.

And I have to say that Ground Zero was, in my opinion, a lovely party.

As I said, I really love the location.

The fact that it takes place at night added these chill vibes in the forest.

And also the lights, which they put between the trees, provided a special atmosphere.

Talking about atmospheres...

The visuals, especially at the frenchcore and mainstage, were superb.

At the frenchcore stage they had installed a screen on which they played horror scenes, which was awesome.

And the show at the mainstage was just amazing.

So yeah that was superb.

I experienced some great sets.

My favourite was Le Bask.

Is it Le Bask or Le Bask?

I have no clue, let me know in the comments.

And The Satan was really good.

As I said, I really enjoyed PRSPCT hosting the Industrial stage.

The only downside was that it took some time before a good atmosphere was created.

I don't know what it was, but the vibes were a bit low now and then.

It wasn't necessarily bad...

It wasn't necessarily negative, but people needed some time to feel it.

Maybe it was due to the switch to night

No idea.

I really had a great time at Ground Zero anyway.

I think the forest, as well as the atmosphere, the lights and the visuals were awesome.

And I heard a lot of great sets.

So that was the icing on the cake.

I really enjoyed myself anyway.

I hope that you enjoyed this vlog.

If so, leave a like and subscribe for more.

We are almost switching to the indoor season, which I'm looking forward to.

There are still 2 outdoor season vlogs planned.

And then it's time for indoor.

So keep watching and I'll see you next time!

Bye bye!

Healthy Shrimp Ceviche Recipe Meal Prep - Duration: 8:18.

what up guys and welcome back to the

fit men cook kitchen whew let me tell you

I'm excited about today's recipe because

I got some real special and spicy for

you we're making a Latin inspired recipe

that's right a shrimp ceviche for meal prep

this has got to be one of my top

five foods of all time like I love

ceviche and I just got back from

Colombia was there doing this this

incredible fitness conference called La

Feria Fit and I went to one of my

favorite restaurants there's called

Pisgah and it's run by my friend who is

a chef there his name is Alex and he

makes the most incredible ceviche ever

even though we were in Colombia the dude

can cook some Peruvian food like none

other and it just really brought me back

to the first time I actually had ceviche

so if you've never had it before what it

is is seafood that has been cured in

this delicious succulent citrus juice

today I want to actually take and put my

own spin on ceviche usually you will

have it with your fish or something like

a squid or some scallops you want to

always use higher quality seafood

because you're going to be basically

curing raw fish inside of some citrus

juice and so you want to make sure that

you have the highest quality seafood

possible so to mitigate that for meal

prep and to make it much more accessible

we're gonna be using shrimps so RS is

gonna be a streamline version of it and

it's gonna be a shrimp ceviche the thing

that really makes the v-j is these salts

in Peru they call it the Tiger's milk

because that's what you use to cure the

fish here's what you're gonna need a

lime some fresh orange juice some garlic

and then a little bit of sea salt and

pepper and then I'm gonna toss in some

Cholula hot sauce a lot of recipes call

for tomato sauce or some ketchup and you

could put that in there too I just

particularly don't really enjoy the

ketchup flavor

I think Cholula or some hot sauce some

chili sauce actually provides a much

better savory flavor for that sauce now

for the vegetables we're gonna toss in

some red onion got some Tomatoes here

some cilantro some bell pepper I'm gonna

toss in some cucumber to crank up the

heat just a bit more we're gonna toss in

jalapeno and we're gonna round out this

entire meal prep by enjoying this with a

quinoa and

mix along with some avocado all right

guys if you're ready to roll up your

sleeves and get your hands dirty and

then let's get started

first thing we're gonna do guys is

prepare the shrimp now we are gonna

cheat a little bit we're not gonna

completely cure the shrimp inside the

citrus juice first we're gonna flash

boil it and then we're gonna go ahead

and cool it down bring a pot of water to

a boil and you're gonna toss in your

shrimp and we're gonna cook this for no

more than two minutes it's already

turning a bright pink color and that's

under one minute now we're gonna scoop

it out we're gonna plunge it into this

ice bath so that way it stops cooking we

want these nice and plump and that tight

and shriveled up and from a food safety

standpoint it's such a much better idea

to cook the shrimp first and then cure

it in the lime juice so I'm gonna set

this shrimp aside now next we're gonna

make the sauce we're going to squeeze in

about 1/2 to 1/3 cup of lime juice now

that's the old-fashioned one I prefer

this way right here you get you one of

these

citrus squeezers squeeze it into a

measuring cup you can always add more

lime you can customize this to taste

next we're gonna toss in some orange

juice works much better if you have one

of those citrus juicers I forgot about

that hold on okay this is my favorite

kitchen gadget I found this in this

antique store it's my favorite thing in

the morning I liked it make some

grapefruit juice but now I can use it

for this put in my orange peel and this

is the old school right here I'm gonna

add in some hot sauce now about a

tablespoon of hot sauce you can add more

so now I'm gonna add in a little bit of

olive oil 1 or 2 tablespoons of olive

oil to this then a pinch of salt then

I'm gonna mix everything together so

once you've got your sauce made set this

aside and now for the fun part we're

gonna start chopping up the vegetables

first we're gonna start out with the

cucumber grab a peeler and they're gonna

peel this bad boy now this is a pretty

big cucumber so I'm only gonna use half

of it chop this in half chop off the top

next we're chopping a bell pepper chop

off the top chop off the bottom sliced

down the side and roll that knife around

chop it into these long thin slices next

we're chopping jalapeno chop off the top

slice it in half and then set your level

of heat I like to take a spoon

and just carve into the inside of it and

easily scrape out the seeds house done

chop up some tomato want a quarter this

first I'll carve out part of the inside

this makes it much easier to dice up

chop the centerpieces and Ingle the

tomatoes next chop up some red onion and

for this one I'm gonna cheat as well I'm

gonna use a mandolin this is one of my

favorite kitchen tools right here I can

set the thickness so I'm just gonna go

about the thickness of a quarter for the

garlic you can use minced garlic or you

can chop up some fresh garlic I'm gonna

chop up some fresh garlic right now plus

it's a time-saver and lastly we're gonna

chop up some cilantro first thing we're

gonna do is pull apart as many of the

leaves as possible we're gonna do a

rough chop of this but a really fine

chopped book we don't want to chop up

too much stem the absolute last thing we

got to chop up now is our cook shrimp

and because each piece of shrimp in it

into thirds add in our shrimp and now

the fun part we're gonna fold everything

together so start from the bottom the

mix and fold just pouring our sauce nice

and beautiful cover this with plastic

wrap I like to let mine mill for at

least four hours but you can get away

with about two or three or overnight as

well and give it a good shake every so

often in the fridge I'll go back every

hour so just to mix it up and make sure

that the pieces on top are getting cured

as well in the juice

now to complete this meal prep I cooked

up some brown rice and I cooked up some

quinoa and I mix it together to create

this beautiful brown rice and quinoa mix

there is a whole lot of flavor already

in the ceviche so we don't have to do

too much but you know I want to be a

little bit extra so I'm gonna chop up

some green onions it's just purely

optional but a little pop of color is

I'm gonna toss in some limes this

after about a couple hours or so in the

fridge we're ready and you see how

before this shrimp was actually above

the juice but now so that's been cured

that means all the flavors have melded

together oh it smells amazing can't wait

to taste this and this is just in time

guys for kick-off weekend it's perfect

for that if you want to make this harder

all you got to do is this chop up some

avocado and fold it in as well this

right here is just a thing of beauty

bringing it all together now add a

little bit of chopped lettuce here to

our meal prep container and in some of

this rice and quinoa mix and this makes

so much salad so add in our beautiful

ceviche and then the morning of when a

slice open a fresh ripe avocado and add

that to your meal prep container oh and

don't forget if you're going to low-carb

route you could even use some

cauliflower rice instead all right guys

that is it for today's video I hope that

y'all really enjoyed it I know you're

gonna love this it's not only great for

meal prep but it's also great for a

little get-together at your house I know

that football season is right around the

corner if you want to invite some

friends over to watch the big game

here's a calorie-conscious way to do it

I know that everybody at your house will

love it how do you enjoy your ceviche

let us know in the comments below all

right guys I want to thank y'all for

watching

until next time keep it healthy but of

course what that's right never ever

boring ooh

bye guys

RBFM - French Uniform - Uniform Impression - Duration: 19:15.

Hello everyone and welcome to this new uniform presentation video. Today, I will present the uniform worn by a Marine from the french "RBFM", Armored Regiment of Fusiliers-Marins of the 2nd Armored Division of General Leclerc.

Before anything, I have, as usual, to clarify certain points:

This video is only a base that allows you to create your uniform, it'sn't a Bible that allows you to avoid searching on Internet, or buying books and magazines.

I don't pretend to know everything, I'm not specialized in the field, so maybe you will find errors, or you will have details to bring.

If so, feel free to leave a comment below this video to share your knowledge.

There are many possible configurations, but I only present what I wear to avoid a 2 hours video.

You can find the complete list of equipment in the description of this video, with the corresponding timing.

History

The french Armored Regiment of Marine, or "RBFM" in french, was created in September 1943 under the command of Corvette Captain Raymond Maggiar.

His staff mainly comes from the Bizerte battalion (including officers) and the French war force in North Africa, which was under the Vichy regime before the Anglo-American landing;

sailors captured by the English in Madagascar, and escaped from occupied France.

Although the unit's composed of sailors, the RBFM isn't an FNFL (Free French Naval Forces) unit was created after August 3, 1943, date of merger of the North African Maritime Forces and FNFL: in theory, after this date, there will be only one NATIONAL MARINE

it's the December 9th, 1943 that American uniforms are perceived.

At the same time, the system is equipped with armored vehicles that replace the mules and obsolete equipment, but it was necessary to wait until April 9th, 1944 for the RBFM to get these famous tanks so much requested:

36 TD M10 (tank hunters), 25 M3A1 scouts, 6 M2 half-tracks, 3 M3 half-tracks, some motorcycles and Jeeps of course.

The RBFM become a part of the 2nd armored division of General Leclerc on April 12th, 1944.

The Regiment meets General Leclerc on April 14th, 1944, but he isn't very warm:

Indeed, the regiment itself was imposed by General De Gaulle on one hand; On the other hand, Leclerc blames sailors for remaining loyal to the Navy, and therefore to the Vichy regime.

Leclerc therefore forbids them to wear the aiguillette of the legion of honor won during the battle of Dixmude in 1914 by the Marines.

The RBFM arrived in England on April 29th, 1944 and, proof of the confidence of General De Gaulle in this regiment, his son, Philippe de Gaulle, is integrated into the rank of First Class Vessel Sign.

It's however necessary to wait for the night of August 2nd to 3rd so that the RBFM and the 2nd DB touches the French ground on Utah Beach in St Martin de Varreville,

and it's on August 12th, 1944 that the regiment registers its first victory against a Panther and infantry trucks.

The regiment continues to be engaged in several battles, winning several victories and capturing many Germans.

From 24 August, the 2nd DB can enter Paris on three columns: one by the door of St Cloud, one by the Porte d'Orléans and the last by the Porte d'Italie.

The clashes will be hard, but the Germans, after suffering many losses, surrender little by little. Note various incidents related to snipers, causing panic among jubilant Parisian.

The 5th column of the Hotel du Crillon has paid the price, one of the shooters having taken the 1st degree the expression "This is the 5th column that attacks us!".

it's one of the tanks of the RBFM which will arrive the 1st on the Place de l'Etoile.

The RBFM leaves Paris on September 8th, going east: Since Normandy they have destroyed more than 60 enemy tanks; they didn't lose 10 tank-destroyers.

Following the battle of DOMPAIRE, General LECLERC will authorize the RBFM to carry the aiguillette of the Legion of Honor, thus justifying the acts of bravery of the regiment.

The 2nd DB and the RBFM reach the Lorraine and at the dawn of November 13th, they record three victories against Panthers without recording any loss.

The RBFM participates in the liberation of Strasbourg, always at the forefront, allowing first of all the capture of the German general Brühn, which will be sent to Leclerc.

Then they distinguished themselves by a big coup on November 23rd, 1944 at the Barracks of the Strasbourg Guards, capturing 300 soldiers and 15 German officers without suffering any loss.

The 2nd DB briefly participated in the counterattack of the Ardennes before returning to the Colmar pocket on January 18th, 1945 to liquidate it.

Losses are this time lamenting French side, including Grussenheim, before the RBFM is relieved by the 5th French DB.

An operation is then implemented to liberate Royan in April 1945, before heading to Germany in May 1945 and taking Beschtesgaden, still within the 2nd DB of General Leclerc.

After the end of the war, the RBFM will march on June 18th, 1945 in Paris, and General Leclerc will bid farewell to the 2nd DB on June 22th, 1945.

FYI, the Regiment will participate later in the Indochina war.

Uniform

Like all the 2nd Armored Division, the French soldiers were equipped in the American way, these recovering stocks of unused equipment or still available in US stores in England.

The French then chose to customize their outfit with a hat representing their army corps, as well as the insignia sewn on the jacket M41.

The weapon in staffing was the USM1 rifle, but it could happen to find Thompson with the officers.

Mustard trousers M37 was the regulation pants of the US Army during the World War II, so it was normal to find a lot in clothing stores when the French came to equip.

It has 4 pockets: two side and two on the buttocks, and passers allow to place a regulatory belt, here the model for the troop.

The pants are slipped into the leggings but can also be put on top, the armored troops can avoid to hang the hooks of leggings on the hatches of vehicles when passing the body.

The boots are here in Russet leather, so type II, model dated November 21st, 1941. They were used for outfits, unlike the roughout Boots, more easily used in combat.

The French have therefore mostly found russet leather boots, associated with leggings mod. M1938.

The boots have 9 pairs of eyelets, have a rubber sole, which can be easily damaged, the latter having served the soldier during the landing of the 2nd Armored Division in early August in Normandy.

The M1938 leggings will be distributed to all soldiers of the 2nd DB, as well as the Americans wearing lace boots. They are attached by a lace, to fix on hooks turned towards the back and placed outside the calf.

Attention, the lace can be weakened with the use, our soldier has here abolished his lace right side, and he will replace it as soon as possible.

Regulatory shirt in the US Army, the mustard shirt M37, nicknamed well by its color, was found on all the soldiers of the 2nd Armored Division who wore it with a tie, this time not slipped between the buttons.

it's made of beige cotton and it could go down lower on the belly, the tie is here worn with American way.

The mustard shirt M37 has no official color: 70 million shirts have been manufactured, the colors will vary from one manufacturer to another.

It has 2 chest pockets to carry the wallet containing the military booklet or the medical booklet. The size will be caculated with the colar size and the length of the arm, possibly with the chest.

Don't pay attention to the length, which will be more important than our modern shirts.

The M41 jacket was worn by all US ground troops, and thus largely reused by the 2nd Armored Division, when the mustard shirt was not worn alone, with the insignia placed on it.

It has two slanted pockets on the side, and the open collar allows to see the tie, hence its importance, the French want to wear it even in combat.

This is a Chinese reproduction having had a lousy green color, but its regular port has allowed the color to clear, making it more realistic.

Epaulets are placed on the shoulders, allowing the officers to place their ranks.

On the shoulder, we can find the insignia of the marines, in two parts:

the curved part called "banana", on which is written "FUSILIERS MARINS" is placed at the top, when the part of the badge with the two crossed anchors is placed in the middle of the biceps.

On the left chest, we find the specific RBFM insignia, when on the right chest, we find the specific insignia of the 2nd Armored Division.

Defaulted by all the officers on their outfit, the soldiers could also wear the red aiguillette of the legion of honor, authorized by General Leclerc after September 16th, 1944,

when in light gear, therefore without the buckle and with the belt with the minimum equipment.

The particularity of the Marines was to wear a bachis to differentiate them from the other corps of the 2nd DB. The pompom was intended, according to legend, to dampen shocks in the passageways of ships.

The soldiers have also created a superstition with the ladies: touching the pompon would bring luck. It was only a strategy to flirt.

The legend, here displayed, is "MARINE NATIONALE", put into circulation on October 22nd, 1943, when before, we had "F.N.F.L. ". Warning, no legend "FUSILIERS MARINS" for the RBFM during the WW2.

EQUIPMENT

The RBFM troops being a motorized unit, wearing glasses was strongly recommended when traveling by vehicle.

Thus, we could find all kinds of glasses including those used by motorcyclists before the war, the M35 model. This is a pair of post-war glasses, the original will have marked "inflammable" on the glass.

To know that the rubber ages very badly and can leave traces when you carry it: thus, it's necessary to leave the glasses away from hot (otherwise it will melt) and cold (otherwise it will crack).

They can be stored in a box provided for this purpose.

Since we are going on American equipment, we find the same type of webbing that US infantry soldiers could carry, except that they were rather lightened in equipment, the RBFM being an armored regiment.

Thus, the rest of the equipment such as the havresack or the bags remained in the vehicles type GMC or Half-tracks.

The webbing consisted of a pouch for Colt 1911 A1 mags in case of wearing this weapon, which contains two magazines, same capacity as the USM1 magazine holder next to it.

The M1942 canteen and its cup, slipped into an M1910 cover is placed on the left rear of the M36 belt, on which the M36 suspenders will be fixed. The brown leather holster is placed on the right, and will contain a Colt 1911 A1.

This is a reproduction of the brand Denix, you can find the review in the description. On the front, a first aid kit's slipped in its M1924 pouch, so as to have easily accessible dressings.

On a ring M36 will be placed a reproduction made in 3D printing of the grenade MKII A1.

Staffed in the 2nd DB because the Americans preferred to take the Garand priority, the M1 carbine was also adopted by the Army Leclerc for its smaller size than the Garand.

It was mainly produced by Winchester and Inland, and it was the most produced individual weapon during the World War II with 6.3 million units built.

The magazines have a capacity of 15 cartridges of 7.62x33 and it weighs 2.52kg when loaded. This is a replica of Marushin airsoft including a post-war wood stock was adapted on it.

Be careful with the model of your carbine, you will need to avoid the bayonet lug, the 4 holes on the upper handguard, and the adjustable sights. We are on a 1st type, so there is nothing of all that, the aim is by a oeilleton.

You've seen a mustard set here, but the HBT pants or coveralls could be worn by French soldiers.

All the elements that you could see is reproduction, except the suspenders, the canteen, and the leggings, hence the damaged lace.

The bachis, the M35 glasses and the belt are post-war but remain compatible WW2 without major problem.

Eventually, an M1 helmet could be worn in combat, replacing the bachis that would remain in the vehicle, but it was generally little appreciated by the French, the latter preferring to be easily identified by the local population.

The carbine and the Colt 1911 A1 have already been shown in previous videos, you can find the link of the corresponding reviews in the description of this video.

SUMMARY

Mustard pants M37 was the most worn pants by the US infantry during the World War II, so it's normal to find in French RBFM sailors, who have had access to stocks left available by the army US.

It's here with a US belt troop version made of woven fabric. It closes with buttons and a flap anti-gas will be found on some models, 2 buttons will be available in addition.

The pants is normally slipped in the leggings, but it was possible to do the opposite, the armored troops needing to avoid the elements that hang on the vehicles.

Recovered from the American army, the M1938 leggings come to make the junction between the mustard trousers M37 and the low boots, so as to avoid the sand and the water to come easily in the shoe.

They are closed by laces to pass in eyelets and hooks. Then it will tie the lace at one end of the legging, pass the strap under the shoe, then close it by a loop.

Take care to have spare lace, they wear out quickly with friction when tightening the leggings.

The boots in russet leather or type 2 boots, are found mostly in the ranks of the sailors of the RBFM because they have been generally abandoned by US troops,

who preferred the use of roughout leather low boots.

They also strangely look to jump boots, advice if you want to hide them under your leggings (although I don't recommend, the leather will be used).

You have in front of you reproductions that have lived so much that they will soon end up on model. The sole is black rubber when the rest of the shoe is brown leather.

Use brown shoe polish by "Baranne" to get that color.

The mustard shirt M37 was, as for the trousers of the same name, regulatory throughout the US Army, so distributed in large quantities in the French ranks.

It was nicknamed so because of its color, evoking mustard.

It has two pockets, intended to receive small valuable documents, the pockets of the jacket M41 not being of a great reliability, these having no closure.

Here it's wearing a beige linen tie, knotted here in the American style, but it could go down lower on the belly.

The M41 jacket was worn, once again, by all the infantry troops of the US Army. It was therefore, once again, logical to find it in the stores in which the French RBFM was sourcing.

This jacket is equipped with French insignia: the insignia of the 2nd DB, the insignia of the RBFM, and the badge of the marines, present on the left shoulder. Note that it's normal that the banana is away from cross anchors.

As mentioned before, two slanting pockets are on the side, ideal for storing your hands more than for storing equipment.

This is a Chinese copy that has been worn many times, giving it a nice beige color.

Symbol of the French Navy, the bachis was made of navy blue wool, with a white chinstrap and a red pompom.

The chinstrap was often placed on the top, but the wind during transport vehicles could fly the bachis, so it was time to fold it under the chin.

The pompom was intended, according to legend, to damper in the passageways of boats.

An old franc is placed below to protect the top of the skull from pompon's pins, but also, according to legend, to bring luck when touched by a young lady.

The M35 glasses are actually the recovery of old pre-war motorcycle goggles. As vehicle transport can be done at high speed, it was necessary to protect the eyes.

Beware of the rubber of these glasses, it tends to age very badly, hence the traces on my bachis.

The aiguillette of the legion of honor could be worn after September 1944, General Leclerc having authorized his port again after the first sanctions to frame the RBFM in his division.

It's worn under the left shoulder strap, and some may even place the RBFM insignia at its end.

The webbing carried by the RBFM sailors could be very light, like a little more loaded. This is the heaviest version you can find.

The pouch of Colt 1911 A1 mags is placed at the end, on the button placed on the belt. A USM1 carbine magazine pouch will be placed immediately next to it.

The M1942 canteen, slidded in its cup, then in the M1910 cover, is fixed on the left rear flank of the M36 belt. The cover is a recovery of a US soldier, as evidenced by the old marking done by the previous owner.

A brown leather holster can be worn to hold the Colt 1911 A1 on the right side of the webbing. The Colt was not systematic among all sailors.

A first aid kit in its pouch M1924 will be found on the front of the webbing, so as to be easily accessible by a nurse in case of a wound.

Everything will be supported by M36 suspenders, optional once again depending on the load of the belt. On this webbing will be placed a grenade MK II A1, reproduction made here in 3D printing.

Grenades were however rarely worn: they were mainly remained in vehicles.

The USM1 carbine was the most produced weapon during the World War II, so it was normal to find some in the RBFM, armored regiment, so having to have the most compact weapon possible.

It's chambered in .30 carbine, specific caliber for this weapon, caliber which had the reputation to be particularly weak in power.

This is a replica of airsoft brand Marushin, you can find the full review by following the link in the description of this video.

Note that the colt 1911 A1 was not systematic for all sailors, I chose to wear it here to help all the airsofteurs who wish to have a back-up.

This is a replica of the Denix brand, the link of the review will also be in the description.
