Pleasure-way Lexor FL vs Winnebago Travato 59K | Which Affordable Campervan will Win? - Duration: 14:18.

You voted and we listened.

It's a head to head competition between the Lexor FL and the Travato 59K.

Who will have the fairy tale ending they deserve?

Hi everyone I'm Neil Balthaser and welcome to Ultramobility the channel where you vote

on the camper van reviews and comparisons that you want to see.

If you're new to the channel head on over to my Community Tab and cast your vote.

I release a new review or comparison video every week.

From the outside both these vans are nearly identical.

They're both built on the Ram Promaster 3500 gas chassis that features a 6 speed automatic

transmission and a 3.6L V6 Pentastar engine packing 283hp and 260 foot pounds of torque.

Both are 21 feet in length; around 7 feet in width and 9 feet 4 inches in height.

The 59K has more cargo carrying capacity at 1,921lbs compared to the FL's 1,415lbs.

As far as price: as reviewed the 59K was $112k and the FL was $110k so really similar from

a chassis and pricing standpoint but that's where the similarity ends.

Let's head inside and see which one of these two camper vans delivers the goods.

Starting off with the Travato's lounge: We see right away that the Travato have made

a bold move.

This isn't your typical rear sofa bed configuration.

This lounge is mid-van and features not one but Two TWO enormous, sideways facing bench

seats.

Seriously these are big bench seats - each of them can seat at least 4 people - 8 people

can sit in this lounge.

Not only that but BOTH sides of the van are wide open front to back and that gives the

59K a very open and airy feeling.

Up front on the passenger side by the entry way door is a 24" LCD TV.

Not the best place for viewing but not terrible either.

Okay we've got more than enough seating and a big table so this lounge is off to a good

start but a great lounge is all about comfort and this is where the 59K gets into some trouble.

Notice how deep those benches are.

I'm 5'10" and my back wasn't touching the back rests.

Not only that my feet were barely touching the ground when seated.

That's a bad design 59K.

Clearly those bench seats were designed first as beds with lounge comfort coming second.

Let's hope they tear it up as a bed.

Here we are in the FL's lounge.

This is your traditional rear sofa bed configuration and everyone in North America uses it because

it works so well.

You're not going to get 8 people back here like you can in the 59K but the 4 people you

can get back here are going to be much more comfortable.

They're going to be sitting on proper lounge furniture like a sofa or an ottoman.

Their backs are going to be supported and their feet aren't going to be dangling.

Basic stuff that need to be done right if you want to have a great lounge.

There's a 24 inch LCD TV sensibly placed where everyone can see it and you have the added

benefit that you can swing those rear doors all the way open and let the party going on

outside in.

There's no doubt this is a superior lounge.

But the Lexor has surprise for the 59K: it also has a FRONT lounge.

This is my favorite feature about this van.

Move that pedestal table up to the front, swivel around those cab seats and you've got

a nice second lounge.

Not only that there's a convenient workstation on the driver's side complete with AC and

USB outlets.

It's like you have two separate living areas in a 21 foot van.

The 59K's looking a little wobbly.

But before we head into the galleys let's take a look at some standout features and

see if the 59K can shake it off.

First off you can see that many of the options on the Travato are less expensive than on

the Lexor.

Also there are some options that aren't even available on the Lexor including ducted heating.

But one of the biggest stand out features of the 59K is the fact that most if not all

of the water lines are plumbed internally as is its fresh water tank.

Plus you can opt for heating pads on the external tanks so that means the 59K is much more winter

ready then the Lexor.

That's a huge plus and I think it helps to make up for that ill-conceived

lounge.

It's time to move into the galleys and also talk about electrical systems.

The 59K's kitchen is okay.

It's not going to win any awards but there's no major problems with it either.

There is limited storage under the counter because both the microwave and refrigerator

are there.

The microwave is convection and the refrigerator while small at 3.1 cubic feet is a compressor

refrigerator.

There's a small wooden pull out counter extension that I found kind of flimsy.

There's two good-sized overhead cabinets which help to make up for the lack of cupboard space

below so I'd say all together there's adequate storage.

I like the high neck residential faucet and the sink comes with some accessories that

you're going to need like a dish drying rack.

Let's take a look at electrical systems.

It's not pretty for the 59K.

Keep in mind this is a 2018 model that I'm reviewing.

For 2019 some of these things have improved.

First off you've got lead acid batteries.

If you want lithium you're going to have to cough up something in the range of $30k to

upgrade to the KL.

A huge minus is that there's no inverter on the 2018 model.

On the 2019 model there is a 1,000 watt inverter.

Just like the Lexor there's a 2.8kw GAS generator.

That's nice because it takes fuel off your main tank and not propane.

Finally, 100w of solar is optional on the 2018 model year.

For 2019 200w is standard.

So as electrical systems, at least on this 2018 model that I reviewed the 59K's electrical

system is really lacking as compared against the Lexor.

Let's head into the Lexor's galley.

It's an ok galley.

There are no counter extensions so what you see is what you've got to work with.

That's a convection microwave underneath the counter.

You've got a lot of cabinet space above and because there's no refrigerator below the

counter you've got even more space below.

I like the high neck residential faucet.

Across the aisle is the much larger 3-way 5 cubic foot refrigerator.

I want to point out that the Lexor has mutiplex wiring which allows for color touch screen

panels to consolidate most your controls and because the Lexor has lithium batteries and

a nice 2,000 watt inverter you can run your microwave off batteries without needing to

start your generator.

That's just a poke in the eye for the 59K.

It's the final round and we're talking bedrooms and bathrooms starting with the 59K.

The 59K optimized its lounge/bedroom configuration in favor of the bedroom and the lounge suffered

because of it.

Does it make up for it with a better bedroom?

Kind of.

Here you have two good sized twin beds.

If you're 6 and a half feet tall you're going to love the bed along the passenger's side

because it's 80 inches in length.

That's a win.

The driver's side twin is slightly smaller but still a good length at 74 inches.

Additionally, each of the twin beds has this really cool chaise lounge feature where you

can prop up the backs to lay and watch TV.

Very cool.

Finally, this bed system is flexible.

You can fill in the middle and create one full-sized bed at 54 by 76 inches.

As far as comfort: Winnebago uses memory foam for the mattress although they don't use as

much as Pleasureway does on the Lexor.

But, they do have the Froli spring system as added support under each mattress.

So as a bedroom goes this one's pretty good.

Let's take a quick look at the bathroom and also talk about tank sizes.

This is an enormous bathroom for a 21 foot van.

It's located at the rear of the van and I like that because if you've got kids or grandkids

or a dog who have been at the beach you can just let them in from the back and rinse them

off before stepping into the van.

And look how much room there is in here.

You could even stand up to shower if you wanted.

There's a fold down sink which I like because when you don't need it it's out of the way.

Across from the toilet is a wall of storage and I've not seen more storage in any class

b bathroom.

As far as tank sizes go the Lexor has larger fresh and grey water tanks but they both have

good tank sizes and I'm not complaining.

So the 59K has stepped up its game in this final round.

Can the Lexor bring it?

Let's find out.

Here we are in the FL's bedroom.

Interestingly other than it being located at the back of the van the bedrooms are similar.

When you lower the sofa it converts to a set of twin beds just like the 59K.

Each of the twin beds is 4 inches narrower than on the 59K.

But the driver's side twin is 2 inches longer while the passenger's side is 4 inches shorter.

Like the 59K you can fill in the middle section and you get a larger 73 by 76 inch bed.

As far as comfort the Lexor's bed is pretty comfortable.

Pleasureway uses a thicker layer of memory foam in the sofa as well as the ottomans.

Also because the sofa electrically reclines you can partially recline it to a chaise position

just like the 59K.

So as a bedroom goes I think the Lexor holds its own against the 59K.

Let's head into the bathroom and see how the Lexor fairs.

This bathroom isn't bad.

it's not as large as the 59K's but it has a more residential feel with the Corian counter,

stainless steel sink, towel holder and a large window.

There's also some storage under the sink but nothing near what the 59K offers.

Also there's no exterior entry into this bathroom meaning you're going to have to use the exterior

shower if you've gotten dirty at the beach and need to rinse off.

It's not quite the knock out blow that the 59k was hoping for but the 59K gets some points

with its superior bathroom.

So where have we landed with this head to head competition?

I think it's pretty clear that the Lexor FL wins the match.

The 59K's main attraction is its bedroom.

It sacrificed its lounge to create a better bedroom but in the end its bedroom doesn't

really give you anything over the Lexor's.

The bathroom in the 59K is great but again the Lexor's is good enough.

But when it comes to lounges, the FL has a superb lounge AND a second front lounge which

the 59K can't match.

But the real knock out blow is the Lexor's 5 year warranty compared to the Travato's

1 year.

The Lexor is a more functional and balanced camper van that gives you a superior warranty

and manages to do it all for less money.

The Travato just needs to stay down for the count.

It's a tragic ending for the Travato but only in this head to head comparison.

How to Stop a Wildfire - Duration: 10:29.

It's 4 am on a mid-August morning in the northern California wilderness.

During a brief overnight storm, lightning strikes the top of a hill, ignites some dry

underbrush, and starts a wildfire.

It isn't until 6am as the sun rises that someone notices the fire—a hiker camping

an overlooking hill.

As soon as the hiker's 911 call is received by the emergency dispatch center they contact

Cal Fire—the agency responsible for wildfire protection and management in California.

By 6:30, they call the Redding, California based smokejumpers.

They are one of most elite firefighting squads in the United States.

There are only 400 smokejumpers in the US and 40 of those are based here in Redding,

California.

They're essentially the rapid response team for wildfires.

Within 15 minutes of receiving the call, these smokejumpers are in their plane and taking

off.

It takes just 20 minutes to fly the 50 miles to the fire site where they find a suitable

tree-free landing spot, jump, deploy their parachutes, and land.

The plane then circles back to parachute down boxes of equipment.

Smokejumpers carry with them enough supplies to last 72 hours completely self supported—food,

water, shelter, safety equipment, and firefighting tools.

They follow the ridge line and make their way to the fire.

Now, this is a small team and they need to decide how to prioritize what they do.

With the fire already having grown to 15 acres the team knows they're unlikely to stop

it on their own, backups are already on the way, so their priority is to slow it down

as much as possible.

There are four major factors that affect how fast a fire moves: how much fuel there is,

how wet the fuel is, the wind direction, and the slope.

The two factors that the team can immediately gauge that affect where the fire will move

the fastest are the wind direction and slope.

In this case the wind is coming from the north and they know that to the south-west is an

upward slope.

Fire moves faster uphill than it does downhill since fire burns upwards so these smokejumpers

know that this is likely the fire's fastest moving front.

While trees do burn, the primary source of fuel that a wildfire uses to move is the dry

brush and dead wood on the forest floor so the biggest technique used to stop forest

fires is to create what's called a fire line.

These are essentially a gap where they remove all fuel—plants both dead and alive—so

that there's nothing for the fire to continue burning.

The smokejumpers use a mix of chainsaws and other hand tools to do this work but sometimes

fire lines are pre-built.

In this case there's a road at the top of the uphill section which will help slow or

stop the fire so they can direct their efforts elsewhere.

They use the road as their anchor point—a cleared section that the fire likely won't

cross where they start building their fire line so the fire can't outflank them.

Throughout this construction process the smokejumpers need to be sure that they can escape in case

the winds shift or the fire picks up speed.

Wildfires can move exceptionally fast—up to 7 miles per hour in forests which is faster

than humans are often able to make their way through dense trees.

In grasslands fires can move up to 14 miles per hour so firefighters have to be extra

cautious.

For this reason firefighters rarely put themselves directly in front of the fire's moving front—they'll

either be far ahead or to the side.

In the case of this fire as they're building this first fire line they're close to a

road which acts as an easy exit point but, just in case, all smokejumpers carry fire

shelters.

These compact, lightweight shelters won't survive direct flames for too long, but they

do greatly increase a firefighter's chance of survival in case they can't escape the

path of the fire.

After a little over an hour of work the smokejumpers complete a continuous fire line from the road

to a stream.

Streams, while less secure than roads, also help stop or slow down a fire by acting as

a fire line.

To the south-east of the fire there's also a small road that connects to another stream

meaning there are at least rudimentary fire lines on three sides of the fire.

It's at this time when backups arrive by road.

The added manpower allows for much faster action.

The immediate focus goes to strengthening the southeastern fire line—currently just

a stream.

At closest the fire's less than 100 feet from the stream and the stream is itself in

a valley so it's too risky to work directly behind the stream, there's just no good

escape route, so the new arrivals get to work on a redundant fire line 100 feet behind the

stream.

By 10 am the fire has further grown and the team knows that the worst is still to come.

Fires spread most rapidly between 10am and sunset due to the daytime heat and wind.

By 11am the fire has reached the road and part of the fire line which means that some

of those that were building the fire-line are re-allocated to make sure that the fire-line

holds—extinguishing any flames that may jump the road.

By noon the fire lines are holding and, while the fire's size is growing, it's at a

manageable pace so there's reasonable hope that it can be suppressed before expanding

to an uncontrollable size.

At 1pm, though, conditions change.

The wind starts blowing harder towards the south-west and, as trees burn on the north

side of the road, the wind pushes embers over the road which ignite underbrush on the other

side and now the entire focus of the firefighting efforts change.

You see, the point of fighting wildfires is not actually to put them out, it's to control

them.

While the number of wildfires has increased due to humans they're actually a very natural

phenomenon.

What's making wildfires worse is humans stopping them.

Many forests survive wildfire through trees having heat-resistant bark and other evolutionary

adaptations.

These fire resistant forests relied on having wildfires at a consistent interval every few

decades to clear out the forest floor of dead plants and to kill invasive species.

Nowadays, though, as humans suppress fires a forest might only see a wildfire every 50

years instead of 25, for example, meaning that there's twice as much fuel and so the

fire burns faster, larger, and more intensely.

It was only until recent years that the research revealing this was widely accepted so the

goals of firefighting shifted from stopping wildfires completely to controlling them.

In some places, being a firefighter actually means starting fires.

Fire management agencies will conduct controlled burns in order to reduce the risk of an uncontrollable

fire and to increase the health of a forest.

While forests can survive wildfires, humans cannot so most agencies will let fires burn

in a controlled fashion up until the moment they risk damaging property or threatening

human life.

This fire that jumped the road just did exactly that.

At the bottom of this slope is a town and the fire is now headed in that direction with

no preexisting features to stop it.

That means that all measures must be taken to aggressively stop the fire's expansion

to the west.

That means it's time to bring out the big guns—it's time to attack the fire from

above.

Planes and helicopters are some of the most effective tools used to fight wildfires.

They can quickly and accurately drop huge amounts of water or fire retardant.

The decision to use aerial firefighting does not come lightly as it's both hugely expensive

and using an aircraft on one fire means it can't be used on another.

Their use needs to be prioritized for the most dangerous fires.

There's also a decision to be made on what the aircraft is going to drop—water or flame

retardant.

Water is cheap and, with some aircraft designs, can be reloaded near the fire without landing

at an airport.

Water is only effective at extinguishing flames, though.

Flame retardant, on the other hand, can be used to stop flames from starting.

It can essentially create a fire line ahead of the fire's spread as it will stop a line

of forest from burning.

The main issues, though, are that flame retardant can only be loaded at an airport and it's

very expensive.

A gallon of Phos-Chek, the most commonly used brand of flame retardant, costs $3.

That's about the same as a gallon of milk at the grocery store but these aircraft use

thousands of gallons of it for each drop.

The world's largest firefighting aircraft, the 747 supertanker, for example, carries

19,600 gallons of flame retardant meaning that what it uses in one drop costs nearly

$60,000.

Of course there's a reason agencies hire this plane, it creates a 3 mile long fire

line almost instantly, but it comes at a steep price.

For this fire, using such an expensive tool would be overkill.

In this case, they'll use a helicopter with a bucket attached.

The bucket is filled with water from a nearby lake then the helicopter flies over to the

fire and drops it.

With only 5 miles to the lake the helicopter is able to make a drop about every 5-10 minutes

and, while it works on stopping the spread on one side hand crews work on building a

fire line on the other.

The area that the helicopter extinguishes essentially acts as its own fire line as fire

can't burn what's already burned.

This work continues for the next few hours—its vital to not let anything to the south-west

of the road burn out of control.

By 4pm the outbreak is managed and attention can be directed back to the largest section

of the fire.

As the afternoon wears on some crews get back to lengthening the eastern fire line, others

begin constructing a western fire line, and the helicopter works on slowing the advancement

to the north.

By the time the sun begins to set around 8, all sides of the fire have at least some element

of control so that during the night and in the coming days the fire can continue to burn

in a controlled fashion until there's nothing left to burn.

This mission was a success but the reality is that this is not a real fire.

Real fires rarely end this well.

Real fires don't act so predictably because real fires can't be predicted.

Real fires are a menace that can grow to the size of small countries and can burn for months.

During summer and fall, there are often more than 100 large forest fires burning around

the US at any given time and thousands more around the world.

No firefighting effort is exactly like another but these are the primary techniques used

by those who work everyday to protect life and property from one of nature's most dangerous

phenomenons.

Whether you're fighting forest fires or running a business the tools you use are crucially

important.

In both cases they directly affect how well you do your job and, while chainsaws, axes,

and shovels are some of the most important tools in firefighting, Squarespace is one

of the most important tools for running a business.

That's because having a Squarespace website helps you be found on the internet and presents

you or what you do in the best way possible.

Exclusive UNICORN SLIME DIY and ADDING TOO MUCH Ingredients Into SLIME - Coco Kids Club - Duration: 10:07.

Hey, guys!

Welcome to Coco Kids Club!

Today I will show you a DIY project on how to make really cool UNICORN SLIME... or unicorn

poop slime, haha, if you want to call it that.

It's a proven recipe, so you can definitely make it yourself.

Also, I'm going to try my favourite trend: adding WAY TOOO MANY ingredients to the SLIIIIIME!

Let's go!

Meet my fluffy assistant Coconut, or just Coco.

Press 'like' to boop Coco's snoot!

We have a bunch of cool stuff here: rainbow pom-poms, glitter, shiny sequins and more.

Mr. Fluffer wants to make new friends!

Guys, subscribe to our channel to see more slime videos!

Clear glue or white glue?

Clear?

Okay!

So, guys, for this recipe you will need Perwoll, Persil, Tide or any liquid detergent.

I know that most recipes say you should pour Perwoll into the glue first, but today I'm

gonna break all rules and do it in reverse.

Adding a small amount of water.... mixing... mixing hard.

And now I'm pouring my clear glue.

For unicorn slime you should make three batches with different colors, so make sure you've

divided all the glue into three parts.

So you don't have to run to the nearest store later.

I did it one time... haha, it wasn't fun) Second bottle of glue... and third...

No mixing, just fold it in gently with a spoon

And now I will try to separate Perwoll from

the soon-to-be slime.

Haha, okay, it was the stupidest waste of Perwoll, but it was fun.

It's still sticky so I will need to make a baking soda and water solution

Mix baking soda and water in a glass, make sure it dilutes well.

Aaannnddd... we are beginning to add it slowly to our slime.

Don't add too much, or else the slime wont be so elastic, and playing with that will

be no fun at all.

Just a little bit more...

Guys, look... we have a SLIIIIIME!

Let's add coloring; I'll use acrylic paint.

This color is so gorgeous!

Yeah, guys, look we got really cool slime, and it's easy to make

"I can't wait to play with it a little bit more...haha I'm sorry guys, 2 seconds and

we will get back to Unicorn slime.

Mmmmm...."

Booooo!...

A-haha

Okay so for Unicorn poop slime we will need

two more colors: purple and pink

Ahh.. this pink is amazing,..like Barbie's hair.

I love it!

I'll try to mix it only a little bit, but not too much because the real mixing part

is yet to come....

Mmmm... gorgeous!"

The drum roll.... adding a bunch of coooooool stuff into our slime!

Yeah.. this is the coolest slime EVER, and it's easy to make.

WOOOOW!

Just look at how colorful it is....

I like to call it unicorn poop.

If you've noticed, I added plastic pears too! ahahha and altogether it looks

just like real unicorn poop.

But anyway it's so pleasant to play with.

Guys, you should try it at home.

The recipe is really simple.

Give a big thumbs up for this slime.

How To Choose YouTube THUMBNAIL Faces [FOR BUSINESS] - Duration: 4:37.

Which is a better photo for your thumbnail?

Is it a photo of someone smiling

or is it a photo of someone with their mouth open?

Well today, I'm going to tell you.

HEY.com, hey this is Dane Golden from HEY.com.

This is the channel where we give you

video content marketing tips to help you

get your customers coming back

to your videos again and again.

So if you're making a thumbnail, what should you do?

Should you use a smile 'cause a lot of people have

these profile shots of them smiling

or maybe it's a serious shot looking off into the distance.

What should you use or maybe you should use a frame

from the video of someone with an emotion

or smiling and talking.

Mouth open or mouth closed?

Which works better?

Well I can tell you, I don't have an exact numbers

on what works better but I will also tell you

that I've tested some things and after doing

a lot of thumbnails, I really believe

that you want to have a very high emotion,

and what I call mid talk.

And I believe you want to have faces with greater emotion

and enthusiasm or depending on the video

and the tonality of your channel,

you might have the right to do something more silly.

Like or something like that which I do on this channel.

I'm a little bit more flexible but your brand may not be.

You can see that there's couple of shots,

and I'm going to make some faces for you now

where if I'm mid talk, like right in the middle

of a word like that or these types of frames.

These types of shots with a lot of emotion

or you could feel that someone is about to say something.

I'm clearly making some faces

but when you see those types of frames,

don't you feel like you may want to know

what that person is about to say

and don't you feel like clicking on that

because that person has an interesting emotion.

Maybe they have a good emotion ideally

it's a smile but they're looking at the camera

and they are about to tell you something, right.

What is that something?

You have to click on that.

You want to know.

What is that thing?

So that's why I try to look for thumbnails

that have a really great expression

that somebody says, "I really want to know

"what that person is just about to say."

Right, it seems logical in our lizard brains

that when we see someone talking

and about to say something, we want to know what that is

but if it's just a smile that's more of

a catalog type of image, right?

Why would you want to click on something where

it's just a smile?

They're not saying anything,

so why would we want to click on a video

if no one's going to say anything or we get the impression

that somebody is not going to say anything.

So if you're thinking about doing thumbnails

and you're trying decide between someone smiling

and grabbing a screenshot from the video

where someone is actually talking.

I would encourage you to go into

to find a good screenshot of someone mid talk

and use that for the thumbnail in the video.

You'd be surprised how much time I spend scrolling

through videos looking for that.

Just that most emotive moment

and their mouth partially open.

You don't want to make people look silly

and if you're doing this for your business,

you may want to stay within certain limitations.

You want to make it encouraging but not the most silly face

'cause everyone does make them if you look

through enough frames.

But find that face that shows emotions

and is an encouraging face to look at

that makes you want to look at that video,

find out what's being said without

making your co-worker look silly.

But apart from that, I would encourage you

to find those frames of high emotions.

So I found another video that you might want to watch

and I've put it right here.

I hope you'll enjoy it, and see you next time.
