What's up YouTube Chris Boyer here

Welcome back to my channel and welcome to a brand new video today

I just I had a very important question to ask

Probably the single most important question that anybody could ever ask themselves and that is

Who

Was Jesus of Nazareth now? Hold on before you before you click out of this video?

Just just just hear me out for just a second. I'm not gonna take up too much of your time, but I just I

Want to talk directly to the skeptic to be honest

Directly to the skeptic the person that for whatever reason has not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

Perhaps maybe hasn't thought about it or

Maybe has thought about it, but has looked into the evidence is not convinced for whatever reason doesn't find it compelling

What have you?

Or maybe the agnostic who is open-minded to it, but still yet to be convinced

But I do want you to be aware of something

you know everybody has

Presuppositions and I want you to be aware of your own presuppositions

prior to me becoming a Christian I

Believed that God it was possible that God existed

I believed very early on. I know I accepted Jesus Christ

But I started to doubt that belief in my early 20s and

Started questioning the truth of Christianity

Because it claimed exclusivity and it was the only way and

so on and so forth and

I started

seriously asking myself very

What I believe to be pretty important questions at the time the meaning of life the purpose of life

You know, why am I here?

Where did I come from? Where am I going?

those sorts of things and

For some reason I kept getting drawn back to this Christian faith that I that I embraced as a child

But I

Needed to know that it was more than just

Something that I accepted on on faith and

If he accepted on faith that's perfectly fine. There's nothing wrong with that

But to me, I needed a little bit more than that. I needed some reasons. I needed some arguments

I needed some evidence. I needed some some some

Some some truth

To the Christian claims and I started looking into that and I got into apologetics and that sort of thing so

For me it was going into it

Obviously I believed it could be true but I wanted to

Test whether it actually was true or not

so my

Presuppositions were pretty open-minded, you know, my mind wasn't made up obviously prior to looking at the evidence

So I

Guess for an unbeliever, that would be more of an agnostic position

But I want to know for the skeptic listening right now. I want to know

Why have you not accepted Christ as Lord and Savior

and

If you haven't I want to know

If you're aware of your presuppositions, or do you already have your mind made up prior to?

Looking at the evidence and the arguments because I have evidence. I had there are good reasons. There's plenty of evidence

arguments and

and good reasons to believe that the Christ was who he claimed to be but what I want to know is

Why you?

Don't accept

The claims of Christ why you don't accept the truth of Christianity

I'm curious

That's that's that's really all I wanted to know

um

You know

I pray and I hope that you're aware of these presuppositions because if you already do have your mind made up

I've heard some people tell me that there is nothing that I could do. There's no evidence that

That would be good enough to convince them that the Christ was was God incarnate

And you know that to me that's a very

unreasonable

untenable position I

Think it's not rational whatsoever

You know an atheist generally they want to be beacons of reason and rationality and that sort of thing

But how is that reasonable? How is that rational?

So I want to know you know, what are your reasons now? Are you looking for reasons to not believe?

Because I think that that could be a presupposition as well. You've already had your mind made up prior to looking at the evidence

Do you already have your mind made up that Christ isn't who he claimed to be?

Or God doesn't exist because that's going to determine where you end up

It's not facts

Gregg Bahnson said this this best.i. They facts don't determine what people will believe

They don't if that were the case and everybody would be believed the same thing

people's presuppositions determine where they end up

If facts determine what we believed there would be no flat earthers

There would be other religions the

Point is that facts do not determine what we believe

Faith and

presuppositions

determine what we will believe so I'm curious to know if

You know what? Your presuppositions are

That's what I want to know, do you already have your mind made up

because if so, I

Mean, I feel sorry for you. There's really nothing that anybody can do for you. There's there's no evidence

There's no reasons God could come down

You know and appear in your in your bedroom and that it's not gonna be

good enough to convince you that God exists and

It's a very untenable and irrational position. I think

um

Hopefully you're not in that boat I

Hope you're not if you do if you are open-minded if you do want reasons and evidence and arguments, I'm telling you right now

There is plenty of that on the Christian side of the table plenty of that

If you want that I can give that to you

If you don't want that, well, then you find yourself in the same position as Thomas Nagel who said and I'm paraphrasing

Let me paraphrase please before somebody says something dumb in the comments seriously

these internet warriors

internet warrior infidels

Who get all brave and Brody in the comment section on YouTube videos, you're a joke, you're a clown seriously

Identify yourself below please do that

Cuz you're a joke

but let me just please just paraphrase Thomas Nagel and he said

that

What what bothered him was that there was very intelligent people who were Christians who were believers and

That bothered him because they were intelligent people

But he couldn't bring himself to accept that because he didn't want to accept it

he didn't want to live in a universe like that where God exists is that you I

Really want to know do you find yourself?

Hoping or wanting there not to be a God

As if that's the case

That's a presupposition that is going to determine where you end up

There's no reasons. There's no evidence. There's nothing that is going to be good enough to convince you otherwise

because of that strongly held

presupposition

Faith and presuppositions is the basis for how we reason

So

However if you are open minded

to evidence and

arguments I

Suggest you look at the claims of Christ and you ask yourself if you think it's possible that God could exist

I think it's only fair that you ask yourself

Could this God?

Be manifest and the person of Jesus Christ

Could Jesus Christ Jesus of Nazareth be who he claimed to be God? Incarnate come to inaugurate God's kingdom on earth

died for sins

Will come again create a new heavens and new earth and right all wrong in

the eternal state

Could that be the case?

If it could be the case

Then I with an open heart and open mind. I I just suggest that you look into the evidence

The single most important question that anybody can ever ask themselves is who was Jesus of Nazareth?

and

I pray that your presuppositions do not hinder you from answering that question, honestly

Because the consequences are profound they are eternal the implications are profound

So

If you are on the fence if you are open-minded

Just ask yourself

the most important question that anybody ought to ask themselves and that is

Who was Jesus of Nazareth?

and the

Answer to that question is the only difference between

You and me

That's it nothing more nothing less I simply believe as a Christian that Christ was who he claimed to be

You can caricature Christians. However you want

You can make up whatever you want

but I simply and

Wholeheartedly believe that Christ was who he claimed to be that's it. That's it and

I have good reasons to believe that

Maybe they're not convincing to you. That's fine. I want to know why leave them in the comments below and

perhaps it's because you have presuppositions that are precluding you from following the evidence where it leads and

If you don't have that issue

Because I don't know that anything can help you with that

Obviously God changing your heart

which is

possible and

Granted he's done that

on several occasions

But for the person that is is open-minded and is on the fence if you haven't already

Look into the evidence and ask yourself. Is it possible to God exists and

If you can even if you cannot say a hundred percent that it is impossible that he does not exist

Then it's possible it's certainly possible that he's revealed himself in history

it's certainly possible that he has revealed himself in the person of Jesus Christ and

The way that you answer that question

Will determine if you're a Christian or not, it's gonna determine your destiny

And I

Hope that if you look into it with a sincere open and honest heart

That you will follow the evidence where it leads and I'm convinced that

You will have great reasons to believe that indeed. He was who he claims to be

And

I'll rejoice right next to you as a fellow brother and sister in Christ. And if not,

Please let me know in the comments below

That's really all I had for this video. I love you guys. I'll see you in the next one. God bless

Things People Can Actually Hear?! - Duration: 11:21.

[pen writing]

[Pokemon game sound]

Hello. So, I want to end Deaf Awareness Month,

with a bit of a fun video, another fun video.

And really just one of the questions that I've had in mind,

and that is, how the hell do you hearing people hear things?

OK. That might be a little bit of a bizarre question because,

I still have enough hearing to be able to hear some things,

like I can still hear myself talking.

Despite lots of people thinking that I don't.

And you know there are things I heard a couple of months ago

that I can't hear so well now.

But you know what, there are some things that,

I really don't remember hearing like ever.

So, we're gonna go over a list that I have.

Now, Mhairi actually did a video similar to this so I'm gonna

link that probably on a card, so you can go see her list as well.

We might have some similar things,

but I did try to think of a few things differently,

and also the things that we may have in common,

try to talk about it from my own experience.

And of course, I know that there are things

that I just I can't remember.

I mean like, I thought about it and then I want to go write it down,

but then I forgot to write it down.

Thus, I don't remember what they are and that's so frustrating,

because I know I had a couple of good ones

and my boyfriend also made some suggestions,

because I would talk to him and be like, what? But alas, here we are.

OK. So let's get started.

I wrote them down in my Hobonichi weeks,

the ones I remembered to write down.

So, one thing that has always been mind boggling to me,

is when people can hear other people from across the room,

across the room, across the house.

Like people can be in this room with the door closed,

and they'll still be able to hear the person like in the other room

with that door closed as well.

I truly don't understand, it's not even like they're just,

well, sometimes they're yelling at each other,

but sometimes it seems like they can just talk in a normal volume.

Not that I know what that is anymore.

I thought that I had a grasp on normal volume but apparently I don't.

And what I think is a whisper is now apparently shouting.

So, OK. How?

How can you hear people,

and have a casual conversation, with your door shut, their door shut,

from the opposite sides of the house?

I don't, I, I don't I don't understand your sorcery.

I don't think I've ever understood the sorcery.

I do not remember ever being able to have a conversation with anyone

that is that far away.

And sometimes it's not even like facing in their direction,

it's just they'll be completely behind you

and it's supposed to be even tougher,

and I'm just like, really?

I mean, I think there are still some circumstances,

when someone might be like at the other side of the room

and I might be able to hear some sort of noise,

but I have no idea what it is. It's like once.

It's like one word and everything else is just quiet. I don't get it.

I don't get it. You all are,

you all have bat hearing. OK. I don't get it.

This is the thing that inspired me to make this video.

And that is laptop keyboards.

This is all because, Andrea, my friend Andrea made a tweet,

about how she had to move to a different room,

with her laptop to not wake up her roommates,

because she had to work and they had to work whatever,

but she had to work right there and then.

So, she moved to a different house

or to a different part of the house with her keyboard,

so they couldn't hear the keyboard.

She had to move to a room with her laptop,

so they couldn't hear the keyboard that's what I'm saying.

How? Now, mechanical keyboards I understand.

I understand. I can, well actually I don't know if it's

that I can hear the mechanical keyboard, like actually hear it.

Or if it's just the vibrations making me think that I can.

I don't know.

I know, (LAUGHS)

when I first got this,

I think I could hear it and now I'm like,

I don't know if I can hear it anymore. I think it's just memory.

I think it's the memory of being able to hear and all the vibrations

are playing with my brain, I don't know.

So, that I can understand because it has some,

something to it.

I wanna say it has some bite to it. But whatever, I don't know.

Now, also this might sound silly, it'll sound silly.

I'm like how do things make noises? I know things make noises.

I'm a very good science person, like I understand that

when you hit something it makes a noise because you hit it.

But though, it's just a mind boggling thing to me.

It's like one of the things that you can't explain,

you know things make noises.

Every single one of these things I know that they make noises.

But just moving on, birds.

More specifically, you know when the hearing folks are complaining

about birds on a Saturday morning and they're trying to sleep,

and the birds are outside of the wall,

like probably feet away.

I imagine my trees right now are about,

the length of ten people

that are on average 6 feet.

5'5 to 6 feet. I'm just guessing here

And somehow,

people can hear birds tweeting and waking them up,

I know when I did that hearing aid video,

that I could hear the birds but that's directly into my ear.

I don't understand how people can hear birds.

I think the only birds I ever remember hearing,

are like crows.

Like I would be outside and there'll be a crow,

and I could hear that.

But regular, everyday birds.

You know what I mean.

I just, I don't remember ever hearing them,

and I don't understand how anybody can.

The stove/microwave timers.

I don't remember ever hearing them ever.

I remember when I was

at my ex's apartment a couple years ago in Toronto,

and I accidentally had the timer

going forever.

I completely forgot about it. I don't think I was cooking,

I think I was just doing something,

and I couldn't hear it.

Until he picks it up and he's like, hello!

And I'm like, what?

And he put the timer directly to my ear,

and I couldn't hear a damn thing.

It's apparently shrieking and I can't hear it.

Granted it's a high pitch timer and I've always said that,

I don't do high pitches at all, I can't hear them.

The only high pitch I can still maybe hear,

sometimes on a good day is a church bell,

from this one specific church. That's all.

That's all I could really hear, sometimes on a good day.

But I could not hear that kitchen timer,

right at my ear.

And recently,

I was snapping my boyfriend and I had the TV on,

at almost highest volume,

and I was near my TV,

and I accidentally had the stove

timer going off. I was eating my food,

so my stove was off, just the timer was on.

And he was like,

you got your microwave

or your stove on?

And I'm like,

how? My TV is so loud.

It's at the point where I can barely hear it.

It was at almost highest volume,

and I could barely hear the TV.

But you can hear,

the timer

in the kitchen that's farther away.

He's like, it's loud.

I'm like, ooh!

Another thing

that involves microwaves and kitchens, popcorn.

So, one day I really, really want to do a skit about popcorn,

deaf people and popcorn.

And it never happened.

I did one about the mail man.

You know, when deaf people are waiting for the mail man but,

and I had the popcorn one in my mind,

but I just couldn't think of how I really wanted

to do the skit, and filming it was hard.

You know how all the directions is like listen,

so, you know when the popcorn is done,

and I'm like, yeah I know it's in the Deaf handbook

to burn your popcorn. It is.

You know you're deaf when your popcorn burns. That's it.

And I don't mean tiny, tiny burns, I mean it's

like a mine in your popcorn bag.

I've gotten away with the regular sized bags,

but I have a

100 calories snack size thing,

and I put it in

for the directions that said about a minute, a minute and a half.

I put it in for a minute,

because I always like to do my...

I always like to make the timer be like 30 seconds less at first,

because yeah,

I think it's smart for me to do that,

and it still burned so badly,

because I can't hear when it's done.

How do you, how do you know?

What sound does it?

I'm guessing the kernels stop popping,

Is that what it is?

The kernels stop popping, but like I don't know. I don't know.

I still wanna do that skit one day,

but I just, I don't. I don't know how to do that.

I don't know what to make the skit look like.

This one kind of goes with the very first one but footsteps,

like people can hear when people are walking.

Like for example,

if I'm at a hotel or like if I'm in somebody's apartment,

people can hear people in the hall,

walking.

Like when I was at Buffer Festival once upon a time

or when I was at Playlist, like last year.

I was also this year but I was sick the whole time, so I was stuck in bed.

But people are like, man,

I can't sleep because these people outside of my,

my door, you know just in the hallway in general,

and you know they're complaining on Twitter and they're like,

these people are just walking back and forth,

and I'm like how the hell did you hear that?

It's so peaceful in this room. I can't relate.

Except for that one time,

when it turns out it was my friend's group of friends.

They were ringing my doorbell and I had the accessible room.

I had the deaf room,

So, my room's flashing. I'm like, what the hell is going on?

Because I wasn't expecting anyone, I was not expecting anybody.

If you don't text me that you're coming over,

I'm not going to the door. So that freaked me out a little bit.

It was also 3:00 in the morning, I was sleeping.

So, anyway those are just a few things that I had on my list.

I know I had more. I feel like there's one that I'm thinking of,

that was really, really good and I just,

I can't remember what it was, I'm so sad about it.

if I can remember. I'm gonna try to write it down,

and then include it,

in like a comment or in the info box somewhere.

So, to you, fellow deaf or hard of hearing person.

Let me know of something that is just mind boggling to you.

Something that you just don't understand

how hearing people can hear it. (LAUGHS)

I'm amazed. I'm truly amazed because I just,

I realized the only thing that I can really hear,

at a normal volume,

by normal volume I mean, that's loud enough for me to hear.

My version normal, my new normal is like myself,

because it's, and the train outside my gym.

But other than that,

I don't know.

Again, I know everything pretty much

makes a sound.

So, it's kind of like well, yeah.

Why? Of course, people can hear those things if they have hearing,

but still, it's like, it's, it's just, it's just,

it's just an experience for us who can't hear these things very well.

Anyway, I thought that was a fun little video we can just laugh about,

(indistinct)

Again, if you've got something that is just mind boggling to you,

please leave it down in the comments.

Let's talk about the extruder of our 3D printer - Duration: 14:25.

Hello again Infonaut, welcome or welcome to a new installment of your YouTube channel

Infoductive ... this time we are going to talk a little about the extruder

of our 3D printer since

I will explain how to propose the placement of the pieces

so that we have Teflon

or the inverted PTFE or the throat in reverse, this gives us certain advantages but forces us to a certain type of behavior ...

interesting, right?

We begin ...

let's review a little theory ...

let's see...

in a previous video we already did the maintenance

and we learned to dismantle

already reassemble correctly making a change

Teflon or PTFE because it is really PTFE is not Teflon ...

PTFE is Polytetrafluoroethylene

and basically the idea was to introduce it through the biggest part of the throat ... introduce

our Teflon or PTFE tube, although I'll call it from now Teflon ...

we counted it and the part that was countersunk narrower is the one that was in contact through the block

Heater

with the mouthpiece or the nozzle ... okay?

but this has a catch

basically the problem is that if our printer

works at certain speeds this will cause it to accumulate

plastic in the nozzle and push the teflon a little bit upwards, this can lead to jams of a certain type

in the mouthpiece and at the beginning of the throat

to avoid this there is a different way to place

precisely that PTFE tube

then I will explain how to put it as a ride again and then we will see what are the advantages offered

this system and

how should we act from the moment we have it this way ...

logically we started

with

our extruder disassembled either for maintenance or for other reasons ... this is the heating block

as we already know this is the throat ...

as you see already has introduced

the Teflon and this time I cut it to ras ...

agree?

make sure that it is well cut and that nothing protrudes ... well introduced ... and this is the mouthpiece, as you see this mouthpiece

in particular this nozzle has a much longer thread in such a way that it will stand out

more than what stood out in the previous video in which I did maintenance and how you see the throat has

a countersunk part ... in principle this is the one that should be in contact with the mouthpiece

but we are going to change this and we are going to make the part that is in contact with the mouthpiece

Is this precisely ... okay?

so that we will find a great advantage when it comes to making impressions with greater pressure

or with greater speed

all right?

I repeat, we do this once we have disassembled to keep our extruder

Of course this will condition us and will force us to a certain behavior that I will explain at the end of the video ...

as you see Teflon

or the PTFE better said is correctly cut

all right?

we take the heater block

and what we are going to do is precisely that part to screw it in, how do you see here we have a screw so that that screw will leave the part

lower and I'm going to screw the throat directly

from this part

through which we have inserted Teflon directly

in the heater block

remember to screw it up to approximately

half of the heating block or until it does not let you insert it more by hand ...

agree? ... it is not necessary to use any key because we already said

that what is going to block it is going to be directly the mouthpiece

all right...

we already have a lot of work done

next what we are going to do is to take the mouthpiece by hand

and screw it into the heating block, as you see ...

on the same side where the screw is in my case

we take the nozzle

how do you see the countersunk part of the throat is the top

which is next to the engine

we started to tighten all this by hand and once we can not screw it over

what we are going to do is help us through a glass or a key

of the corresponding metric

to our mouthpiece ...

I'm going to press

here we have it

I'm going to use

my key to tighten

a glass of this metric ... this metric in particular is 7mm is nozzle

still have to enter

a few millimeters inside

He heater ... inside the heater block

and this in principle is going to make it impossible for pressure to make the teflon go up

let's say this is the advantage that it will offer us

assemble it in this way now well, this later we will see what is the indispensable condition to work with this type

of assembly ...

then I'm going to press it ... do not be gross or brute ... do not squeeze it with a lot of force

just press it until you notice that it is not possible to hold the motor block ...

sorry ... hold

the heater block

by hand ... it's ...

I'm going to press it like that ... as you see, I would have it completely assembled

you see that it has entered enough, has entered practically all the thread of the mouthpiece

and having squeezed has blocked me

directly the lower part of the throat that remembers that it is not the countersunk part since the

part countersunk is now at the top

so that by a lot of plastic pressure that there

it will never make you revoke it up

Our PTFE tube

this will allow us to accelerate

in a certain way if you have a good configuration and a good calibration

the impressions of our 3D printer

and at the same time it's going to take a long time for us to have maintenance

yes ... we should never forget

that this will force us

to a certain behavior when using

our printer ... how do you see the countersink is on top

so that it is impossible for the Teflon tube

be spit towards the part

upper throat ...

Well, how do you see it is not a difficult assembly ... if you do not know how to disassemble it, take a look at the previous video in which I explain this, remember that these

videos are in the playlist related

with the 3D printer

and well we have already done a lot of the work then let's see

what are the advantages that it offers us ...

as is logical with the traditional assembly

if we use too much pressure

or speed or even we have been printing for many hours and the whole system is very hot

what may happen is that directly revoke

up our Teflon, our PTFE better said

logically this when riding it as we just saw

it gives us the advantage of being able to raise that speed, that pressure etc. without worrying about going out

so this is going to result

in extending much more maintenance due to causes of jam in the mouthpiece

or nozzle ... okay?

logically you also have to remember

that this, as I said from the beginning, forces us to a specific behavior ... what is this

specific behavior? basically, if we work with ABS

we shall never

preheat our ABS work

like ABS and my printer in particular

when I tell him that preheat ABS preheats me at 240ºC ... this is at a

temperature that could affect the tube that we have inside the throat

and cause that particles of that plastic are detached and cause jam in the mouthpiece

on the tip of the nozzle or the tip of the nozzle

So, in what way should we treat, for example, ABS? because the PLA would work the same as always

but in the case of ABS what we have to do is 1

preheat as PLA and when you get to that temperature order him to print with what values

are going to go to the temperature that we are interested

agree? It's not difficult ... then I'll explain

in my case what are those temperatures ...

suppose I get to my printer ...

if I give it to preheat

in PLA basically I take the bed to 60ºC and I preheated

the extruder at 190ºC, right?

if I say preheat

to

ABS or preheat for ABS

what it does is take the warm bed to me at 97ºC or 98ºC

and the extruder uploads it to 240ºC

this can be changed in the electronics, we will treat it in some video, but without touching anything my printer comes like this, so that

this violates the tube inside ... what would happen if we now

we make this change of placement

of the PTFE tube? basically we would have to act in the following way: we preheat like

I said PLA this takes me to 190 ° C the extruder

and at 60ºC the bed

and when selecting a file ... when printed ...

to be printed better said

really what it does

is to change those values

for 190ºC ask me 220ºC in the extruder

and in the warm bed it goes from 60ºC to 97ºC or 98ºC, depending on the case, but basically what happens is that the

temperature up to that point ... as this is way below

to degrade the tube we are not at risk

that our extruder gets stuck every second and we extend our

maintenance and of course we can accelerate quite

the printing of our 3D parts

with our 3D printer

I hope this information has been helpful for you I guarantee that it works

so I have it right now

I have thrown many kilometers of filament using traditional methods and

Remember those walls I built?

Well, baby, they're tumbling down And they didn't even put up a fight

They didn't even make a sound I found a way to let you in

But I never really had a doubt Standing in the light of your halo

I got my angel now

It's like I've been awakened Every rule I had you breakin'

It's the risk that I'm takin' I ain't never gonna shut you out

Everywhere I'm looking now I'm surrounded by your embrace

Baby, I can see your halo You know you're my saving grace

You're everything I need and more It's written all over your face

Baby, I can feel your halo Pray it won't fade away

I can feel your halo (halo) halo I can see your halo (halo) halo

I can feel your halo (halo) halo I can see your halo (halo) halo

Whoa

Hit me like a ray of sun Burning through my darkest night

You're the only one that I want Think I'm addicted to your light

I swore I'd never fall again But this don't even feel like falling

Gravity can't forget To pull me back to the ground again

Feels like I've been awakened Every rule I had you breakin'

The risk that I'm takin' I'm never gonna shut you out

Everywhere I'm looking now I'm surrounded by your embrace

Baby, I can see your halo You know you're my saving grace

You're everything I need and more It's written all over your face

Baby, I can feel your halo Pray it won't fade away

I can feel your halo (halo) halo I can see your halo (halo) halo

Halooo, ooh Halooo, ooh

Halooo, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh

Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev Attends Russia-Azerbaijan Interregional Forum - Duration: 17:30.

Mr President, friends, ladies and gentlemen,

First of all, I would like to greet Russian President Vladimir Putin and his delegation in Azerbaijan.

We are always happy to see you, welcome!

Participation of the Russian and Azerbaijani presidents in the Interregional Forum demonstrates the significance that we see in this forum.

This is the ninth forum and next year we will celebrate its tenth anniversary.

We are delighted that the first Interregional Forum was held in Azerbaijan in 2010 and prompted very intense interregional cooperation.

This hall can take 1,000 people and today it is full, which shows the amount of interest in this event.

President Putin and I meet on a regular basis. Just recently, in early September, I paid an official visit to the Russian Federation and we had very productive talks and an in-depth exchange of views on all subjects on the agenda.

The fact that less than a month later, the Russian President is here in Azerbaijan demonstrates the level of relations between our countries.

Sixteen documents were signed during my visit and they cover many spheres of activity and will determine the progressive course of our relations for many years to come.

I must note that it is the fourth time that President Vladimir Putin has visited Azerbaijan.

I also pay regular visits to Russia, which is a proof in itself of our partnership, as well as the friendly, neighbourly relations between our countries.

As concerns the trade and economic links, we see impressive dynamics.

This growth is consistent. The Russia-Azerbaijan trade grew last year and continues to grow this year.

Russia is the largest import partner for Azerbaijan and the number-one partner for our non-oil exports.

We are also involved in mutual investment projects where we have also seen positive development.

We have very sustainable ties when it comes to energy and the oil-and-gas sector.

During my official visit to the Russian Federation, we signed an important document – an oil contract between Rosneft and Sokar.

LUKoil has been successfully working in Azerbaijan for over 20 years now and is one of our major investors.

Our energy grids are operating in parallel in the electricity industry.

During my September visit, we discussed matters linked with the construction of the second stage of the high voltage line that would allow us to further upgrade our energy exchange, and expand cooperation with third countries in this area.

Our cooperation in transport is very active.

The North-South project that we are jointly carrying out is already producing results.

This year freight traffic along this corridor increased more than 100-fold as compared with that of last year, and this is only the beginning.

We hope that this corridor will become one of Eurasia's main transport arteries and will thus further promote the rapprochement of our countries and enhance our transit potential.

I would also like to point out that the Azerbaijani national airline alone has over 50 flights per week to different Russian cities.

If we add Russian air carriers, we will see the intensity of contacts between our citizens and the depth of our ties.

There is a huge increase in the number of Russian tourists in Azerbaijan. In less than nine months, about 700,000 Russian citizens visited Azerbaijan.

I am certain that this figure will continue growing in the future.

We have very good prospects and cooperation in the banking sector.

VTB, a major Russian bank, is operating successfully in Azerbaijan. Incidentally, Azerbaijan is its largest foreign shareholder.

Relatively recently Gazprombank financed Azerbaijan's major industrial project that is worth over $400 million.

These projects are important components of our cooperation.

The automotive industry is a relatively new field of cooperation.

The Azerbaijan-based plants are assembling the KamAZ and Ural trucks with hundreds of vehicles already off the assembly line.

An agreement has also been signed on the production of GAZ vehicles in our country.

We are witnessing highly effective dynamics across all areas, and all of this is indicative of both the spirit and the nature of our relations.

Historical and cultural ties, as well as the proximity of our nations, underlie our relations.

Of course, we are working together closely on expanding our cultural ties.

Another cultural forum sponsored by the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan will be held in Baku next month.

This international forum has already become an important global platform for discussing cultural matters, an intercultural and inter-religious dialogue.

There are 341 schools in Azerbaijan providing education in Russian, and in addition, there are two branches of leading Russian universities, namely, Moscow State University and the Sechenov Medical University.

Much is going on in the cultural sphere. I could go on and on about Russia-Azerbaijan relations, but the format of today's event makes it impossible to cover everything.

The opening of the Azerbaijan pavilion at VDNKh next year will be an important step in further promoting our cooperation.

Back in the 1950s, this historic building used to be Azerbaijan pavilion.

Now, we are renovating it and we will showcase our achievements at what I regard as a very important exhibition venue.

We also have very close relations with Russia's regions.

About 20 Russian regions have signed corresponding agreements with Azerbaijan.

We are opening trade missions in the regions, as Russian regions are doing in Azerbaijan.

I am confident that region-to-region cooperation will naturally complement friendly and neighbourly relations between our countries.

I would like to express my gratitude to President Vladimir Putin for being in Azerbaijan today.

We appreciate this and take it as a sign of friendship and respect.

Of course, the fact that we are speaking here today emphasises the importance of the work that you are doing.

I wish the forum every success for the benefit and prosperity of our countries and peoples.

Thank you.

Mr President, friends, ladies and gentlemen.

Like the President of Azerbaijan, I am delighted that today we have an opportunity to say a few words in front of such a representative audience.

The 9th interregional forum shows that in the previous years we did not waste our time and were busy working in all areas, which is bringing results.

Allow me to repeat and remind you about a few things.

In any case, in this hall we have representatives of science, the creative community, business, politics – and this help us to generally get good results.

I would like to point out that interregional links are the most important component of relations between our countries.

Seventy Russian regions work closely with the regions of Azerbaijan.

The leaders here are Moscow, Moscow Region, St Petersburg, as well as Stavropol and Krasnodar territories, and Astrakhan, Nizhny Novgorod, Chelyabinsk, Volgograd, Saratov and Sverdlovsk regions.

Overall, speaking about ties between Russia and Azerbaijan, I would like to stress that the relations between our states are, without question, built on the principles of good neighbourliness and mutual respect.

We are always trying to look for a balance of interests and we succeed.

During the recent talks in Sochi, which President Aliyev has just mentioned, we signed a range of documents and agreements that create an additional regulatory basis for further developing our inter-state links.

Let me note that there are now around 700 joint companies with Russian participation on the Azerbaijani market and the total amount of Russia's direct investment in Azerbaijan exceeds $1.5 billion.

The Russia-Azerbaijan Business Council is a great help when it comes to establishing mutually beneficial business contacts.

Last year alone, it supported 42 joint projects worth around half a billion US dollars in total.

Russian energy corporations are working successfully in Azerbaijan, as has already been mentioned.

In conjunction with the state corporation of Azerbaijan, Rosneft will soon start exploring and developing the Goshadash oil and gas field.

LUKOIL has invested about $4 billion in energy projects in Azerbaijan, which was also mentioned here, and Transneft, our leading oil transport monopoly, ensures reliable export transit of the Azerbaijani oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline.

We see good opportunities for deepening cooperation in the automotive industry, which was also mentioned today. KamAZ has become operational, and now engages in technical assembly and vehicle maintenance.

AvtoVAZ has created a wide retail network to sell Lada cars in all regions of Azerbaijan with over 40 branches now open in this country.

In turn, investors from Azerbaijan participate in building agricultural enterprises in Russia, such as a hothouse complex in Nizhny Novgorod region (with an investment of over one billion rubles) and a joint venture to produce food in Krasnodar Territory.

In 2017, the supply of Azerbaijani agricultural produce to Russia increased significantly by almost 12 percent.

The total volume hit a whopping half a billion dollars.

Our partners are showing an increased interest in this area of business, which can be seen from more than 30 Azerbaijani companies participating in the international food exhibition in Moscow on September 17−20.

Russia and Azerbaijan are carrying out joint infrastructure projects. In particular, an international North-South transport corridor (Iran, Azerbaijan, Russia) is being created to bring together the European and Asian markets.

The construction companies of our countries are building a new bridge on the Samur River with a throughput capacity of over 37,000 vehicles per day as part of this genuinely large-scale effort and initiative.

The Convention on the Status of the Caspian Sea has opened new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation between our states.

This, of course, is nothing short of a breakthrough.

Of course, much has still to be done to ensure that everything works properly and to achieve full-scale implementation, but the signing of the document has created a good basis for cooperation in the Caspian region.

We hope that Russian and Azerbaijani companies will actively carry out promising projects in the Caspian Sea area, primarily, on transport, freight traffic, oil and gas production, environmental protection and, certainly, the preservation of bioresources and biodiversity of the Caspian Sea.

We are intensively developing bilateral contacts in tourism.

A health resort centre has been built in Yessentuki owing to Azerbaijani entrepreneurs, and a hotel complex is under construction in Zheleznovodsk.

We are also planning to jointly develop sea cruises in the Caspian Sea.

Of course, Russia and Azerbaijan are paying special attention to the expansion of humanitarian cooperation.

The President of Azerbaijan has just mentioned this as well.

There are two branches of our largest universities – Moscow State University and Sechenov Medical University – in Baku.

The number of scientific and student exchanges is growing.

Rostov University of Railways and Astrakhan University are elaborating joint programmes with their Azerbaijani partners on the education of top professionals, primarily in economic specialties.

Naturally, we intend to continue promoting bilateral contacts in education, culture and science.

I would like to emphasise one point which I talked about with the President in Sochi and we see and appreciate this – the interest in the Russian language.

And I am referring not just to the interest of Azerbaijanis in the Russian language but also to help from the state, municipalities and cities.

We see all of this.

The 300-odd schools mentioned by the President certainly form a base.

But the main base is in the hearts and minds of people, their obvious striving for cooperation, to maintain and develop contacts.

Friends and colleagues,

I spoke about just some areas of our bilateral cooperation in which Russian and Azerbaijani regions are taking part.

Opportunities for cooperation are really very broad.

Importantly, specific areas of our cooperation at the regional level are primarily determined by you, those who have gathered in this hall, and your colleagues at the local level.

I certainly want to wish you every success in this work.

Thank you for your attention.
