Waching daily Sep 5 2018

We found the owners of this highland hut

making chicha for their harvest celebrations.

Boiled cassava fermented with saliva.

We spend the night at an old Inca weigh station.

I've set my heart on learning to spin fleece.

An ancient art.

It's still a daily chore for almost every woman living in the Andes.

At at last - we find what we've been looking for...

Ingapira.

These are the greatest Inca ruins in all of Ecuador.

The Inca ruled here for at least 60 years

before they were overthrown by the Spanish conquerors.

But if I thought ruins were the only reminder of the past

I was dead wrong.

I walk into trouble the very next day.

The Indians have gone on strike.

They closed all major roads throughout Ecuador.

Travelers are encouraged to stay home.

The government has raised the price of essentials -

like gasoline -

Five hundred percent.

The poorest Indians are the hardest hit.

The only way through is to walk across the strike lines

and try to hitch a ride on the other side.

"It's bad," the driver tells me.

"Do not underestimate the Indians.

"They know how to fight."

"If they decide to take on the government

then they might just win."

Quito seems quiet

but not for long.

The strike is already spreading to the capital

and it's not just Indians anymore.

At first it looks like a festival -

whole families marching

and costumed dancers keeping us all entertained.

But behind the crowds I don't like what I see.

The strikers are hopelessly outgunned

but quite prepared to take apart the streets

to make their point.

Nobody really knows who started it

but the battle lines are quickly drawn.

Once you see the gas it's too late.

"Ouch! Oh God, the gas hurts."

But when things get really bad

people start taking care of each other.

"People are being incredibly nice."

"Every time they see me crying from the gas

they invite me in or they offer me a coke

or some water. They do everything they can."

The fighting drags on throughout the afternoon

and then one of the rocks hits home.

He's afraid they'll turn him away at the hospital

so I volunteer to go along

and make sure he's okay.

The surgeon sews him up for free.

First the Inca came and conquered them

then the Spanish

And now they're rebelling against the outside world.

It doesn't seem like much has changed

in 500 years.

HOW TO FIND A JOB THAT YOU LOVE 2018 - Duration: 1:56.

Craig Huggart: Hey Saint.

In today's video, I give you four steps to get the job you want because I just did.

Step number one, find out what you want.

The best take on this I have found is from Michael Hyatt.

He says that your dream job is found at the nexus of passion, proficiency, and profitability.

I'll put a link to an article from him along with other things mentioned in this video

in the description.

Step number two, get professional help.

No, not that kind of professional help, but professional help in your job search.

I turned to Robin Story and it was one of the best investments I've ever made.

She revamped my LinkedIn profile, my resume, and gave me a generic cover letter.

It helped me get two killer jobs.

She rocks.

Step number three, look.

Look around.

Look at all the prominent job sites, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and one I highly recommend is

one called FlexJobs if you're interested in working from home.

Step number four, stand out.

In today's crowded job market you have got to do something to stand out.

Spend some time thinking about that and make a decision to stand out at each stage along

the way.

A dream fulfilled is a tree of life.

I pray that you use these tips to land your dream job.

If you like this video, make sure to subscribe and if you want to sleep better beginning

tonight, download your copy of my exact evening routine.

That's a wrap and I'll see you next time.

49ers vs Vikings Predictions (Week 1, 2018) - Duration: 4:38.

Ayo! It's Bryan here. Today, going to be talking about the San Francisco 49ers

as always. Going to be predicting

the game against the Minnesota Vikings,

week one this Sunday. Should be an

interesting matchup. The Vikings, very

tough team. Last year, they're coming off an NFC Championship lost. A

heartbreaking loss where they could have went to the Super Bowl at home against

the Patriots, but it didn't happen

unfortunately and the 49ers, had a 5

game winning streak at the end of the

2017 season. Hopefully, they can keep that

momentum coming for this game against

the Vikings. Going to get to it. So

predictions, predictions, predictions. What

are my thoughts right now? Well as I said,

the Vikings are a pretty tough team I

would say. I mean, you look at the roster

for both offense and defense. It kind of

scares me to be honest with you if

you're a 49er fan as well. You got Kirk

Cousins as quarterback, although he

struggled a little bit from what I heard

from preseason, but still. The talent

around him is pretty damn good. You can

see Dalvin Cook, Latavius Murray in the

running back position. Stefon Diggs had

that nice miracle catch last year

against the Saints in the divisional

round. That was a crazy catch. Also, Kyle

Rudolph, tight end. Not too bad. The

defense though, that is what concerns me.

Garoppolo has to go up against this

defense, week one? Can he do it? I'll talk

about that in a second, but Everson

Griffen, Linval Joseph, Sheldon

Richardson, I think he's getting there

this year. Wow! Pretty impressive right there.

Anthony Barr, he's been pretty impressive

as well. The defensive backs, they're

pretty damn tough. I mean, Harrison Smith

and Xavier Rhodes, whew, pretty good set up

right there. On paper, you would think

that the Vikings are better than the

49ers and I would kind of have to agree

because of the experience that they had.

The playoff run that they made last year.

The editions that they had this year.

Kirk Cousins, I don't know what's going to be

happening with him. Is he going to be good?

Is he going to be a flop? We'll see, but he

has to be good since he got that really

big contract from the Vikings this year,

all guaranteed money and the 49ers,

Garoppolo. They paid him pretty well too.

So oh. Who would I pick to win this game?

It's a pretty tough one. Um, you know for

me, my head would be say the Vikings just

because of the fact they look like a

better team than the 49ers on paper,

although I can't really say that since

they haven't played any games this year.

It's a brand new year, but mmm. I am

inclined to pick the 49ers as an upset

team to win this game. I'm going to be

picking the 49ers and Viking fans, don't get upset.

This is just for fun. Don't get mad. Oh,

this guy's an idiot. He doesn't know

anything about football, but hey. This is

just for fun. I can do whatever I want.

I believe the 49ers can win. I think they

can surprise the Viking some way, shape

or form. I think Garoppolo's going to surprise

this defense somewhat. The talent that we

have is pretty damn good as well,

although we lost Jerick McKinnon for the

rest of the season. That kind of sucks. It

would have been nice to see him play

against the Vikings, his old team. We

still have a good talent core. Matt Breida

and Alfred Morris. I think Alfred Morris

is going to have a big year for this team.

He might be able to be a bell cow

running back because he was like that

with Kyle Shanahan a couple of years ago

in Washington. It can happen.

Wide receiving core? I mean, I can stress

that out all day. It'll be interesting to

see Marquise Goodwin and Pierre Garçon go

up against Xavier Rhodes and Harrison

Smith. That'd be pretty damn cool. So really,

this is the 49ers real test right

here. If they can win this game, then the

49ers are for real, but if they don't,

then they might be just a fake team, which

I hope that doesn't happen. If they lose

the game hopefully, they can make it as

close as possible. That'll be great to

see that. Overall, I think the 49ers can

do an upset win. I believe it can

happen and I think this game if they

can beat the Vikings, a very tough

Vikings team, then they will be put on

the map in terms of the whole league. Be put on

notice. So yeah. Going with the 49ers.

Couple of reasons. Garoppolo, I think

he's going to surprise this defense. I think

our defense can surprise a little bit

against this Vikings offense. I'm not

sure. The pass rush has to improve, but

have a little bit of faith in this

defense, although Foster is out for the

first two games. That's going to be a big

blow, but hopefully, Fred Warner and them

can step up and I think they can. That's

pretty much it you guys. Vikings, 49ers.

Going to pick the 49ers to win the game. If

I had to pick a final score, what would I pick?

I would pick about San Francisco 29,

Minnesota 27. It's going to be a really

close game in my opinion. If on the field,

one of them gets blown out, then I'll be

surprised, but I think it's going to be a really

close game. A really fun game to watch.

I'll be looking forward to it. So yeah.

29-27, San Francisco. Upset win. First

win in this season. I think that'd be

pretty damn cool. Going to keep it

like that you guys. Please let me know

who you guys have winning this game

against the Vikings. I can't wait to

watch this game. Football has been dead

for the past couple of months now and

now, we get to actually watch some regular

season football. So yeah. Please "Like" and

Subscribe to support my channel.

That would definitely help me out a lot and

I'll probably catch you guys up this

week when I talk more about this game.

About some matchups that you guys should

be looking forward to.

I'll keep it like that. So bye guys. Love

y'all. Y'all have a good day!

Unkind Ladies | 착하지 않은 여자들 EP.10 [SUB : KOR, ENG, CHN, MLY, VIE, IND] - Duration: 59:14.

(Episode 10) I apologize for what happened.

I should've been more careful.

Blame me.

We weren't allowed to date members

in our college kendo club.

In particular,

Masters shouldn't date their pupils.

I'm sorry for having caused

you trouble once again.

Since you apologized,

we won't bring it up again.

We hope nothing like this will happen again.

Ms. Jeong Mari.

Yes?

Stop coming to the dojo as of tomorrow.

I can choose where I exercise.

I like this place.

I'm asking you as a master.

Move to a different dojo.

Hello.

They said that a master can't date a pupil.

I like Ms. Jeong Mari.

I'm going to date her.

That's why you should go to a different dojo.

I've like Ms. Jeong Mari.

For a long time.

Mari!

Mari!

I'll get the container today or tomorrow...

Yesterday...

No, you can send it by courier.

If not, I...

You can throw it away.

Were you shocked?

Mari...

Forget about the guy who's nice to you

even though he's got a girlfriend.

Look at me!

Why aren't you saying anything?

I'll bring the container

to your house tomorrow.

Send it...

Send it by courier.

The container is just an excuse.

I want to see you.

That's how I feel.

She might be my wife.

Oh my! You're being unreasonable.

I don't care.

If that's how you feel,

you should meet her again.

She might be living in that area.

It looked like she was running errands

near her house.

We'll go back there when we have time.

You'll bump into her again.

What should I tell her?

Ask her if she was my wife?

She'll slap you if you do that.

That's not a good idea.

Ask her if she knows you and tell her

that you lost your memory in an accident.

If she starts crying, she's your wife.

My wife.

Where did you see the guy,

who looks like my husband?

The big intersection where the bank is.

Did he really look like my husband?

He did.

If Cheolhui were still alive,

he would've looked like him.

Who the heck is this guy

who looks like my husband?

I think she'll show up again.

Sir.

What's with the flowers?

If you see her again, give them to her.

See how she reacts when

you give them to her.

You can find your answer that way.

Thank you for helping me like this.

I'm nervous as heck.

Oh my!

Too bad a cold snap has hit the nation.

It's okay.

Why don't you go inside

and warm up a little?

I'll stay here.

No, I'll stay here.

You'll catch a cold.

You've been standing here for over an hour.

Go to the coffee shop over there.

Hyeonjeong! Hyeonsuk!

Dad!

Are you going to meet your girlfriend?

No, he's not seeing her anymore. Right?

Let's go. I'll buy you a pork cutlet.

Promise us that you won't see

Jang Moran again.

Okay. I promise.

A game of Go-Stop tonight?

I'd rather play a game of yut.

Here we go!

It's yut!

Move 4 spaces.

One more time.

Geol.

Now it's my turn.

Hello?

I'm playing a game of yut.

Where are you?

Hey!

It was his sister wanting to borrow money.

One.

Hang in there. Three, four, and one!

Two.

Move to the next one.

To the side.

Move.

Way to go! Way to go!

You can do this!

Go! Go!

Hey, Jongmi, what are you doing?

What's this?

A three month free trial coupon.

What?

I've been working out for free for a month.

I want you to keep coming.

Why?

You boost the atmosphere when you come.

We've just opened up, and

people feel awkward when they first come

but you always make the atmosphere lively.

She's good at that.

People who come at the same time as you

tend to come more regularly.

Really?

You're fit and very athletic as well.

Did you major in sports?

No, she majored in sports.

I want you to keep coming.

You're promoting our gym in a way.

If you come regularly for 3 months,

I'll give you a 6 month free coupon.

Thank you.

Thank you.

6 months? You're their PR person.

Jongmi.

This has never happened to me before.

We enjoyed dancing when we went to school.

You've still got it.

I'm so happy.

I'm sitting here drinking tea,

and I thought my wife would show up.

You're too obsessed with this.

You don't even know if she's your wife.

You haven't seen anyone that looks like her?

I've been standing here

with my eyes wide open.

I see two ladies, who are over 50, in the area.

One's selling vegetables,

and the other is a rich lady

who's checking out the real estate.

I think she's also checking out

the floating population of the area.

It's cold. Come inside.

I'll go out.

It's quite chilly today.

I'll be right there.

What am I doing?

Mom?

What are you doing here?

I wanted to buy some vegetables.

I want to help out this lady.

Dressed like this?

Can you give me some of these?

These seem fresh as well.

I'll take them all.

- All? / - Yes.

She said I boosted the atmosphere.

Do you know how much it costs to work out

there for 3 months, no 4 months?

Good for you.

This is a first.

I'd feel this way if my husband

got a promotion.

It's cold. Let's go inside.

I'm cold. Turn on the heat.

Yes, ma'am.

Did you stay outside for a long time?

Not really.

Where did you go dressed like that?

Out.

Where exactly?

Just somewhere... What are you doing?

I'm peeling pumpkin seeds.

I asked her to help me.

She enjoys eating them.

Right.

I put the vegetables on the counter.

What were you saying earlier?

Promotion?

Never mind.

What are you doing?

Mom, when does Lee Dujin's mother come?

Tomorrow?

When you meet her,

don't tell her that Dujin looks like her.

He doesn't look like her?

Is she ugly?

She's not his real mother.

What?

His mother passed away when he was little.

Oh my! Poor thing!

Be nice to Lee Dujin.

I think I'm going to invite him over

for a meal.

Don't be silly. Why would you invite him?

Because he's Mr. Lee Munsu's son.

I know how it feels to live with a stepmother.

What kind of nonsense is that?

When mom favored Hyeonjeong, I thought

that mom might not be my real mom.

That's because you didn't study

and always gave her headaches.

I have to go to work.

Okay.

Hello?

Hello, this is Lee Munhak.

Right. How are you?

Can you come to my book concert tomorrow?

What is it about?

It changes each time.

Tomorrow, we'll have an author from Britain

who wrote a book about troubled teenagers.

He's a well-known author, and

I think he'll say things that would help you.

I'm inviting you personally.

You're inviting me personally?

Yes, I hope you can make it.

I will. I'll take my friend, Jongmi.

Thank you.

Weren't you the homeroom teacher

of the girl in this article here?

He thinks he's a big shot.

It's all done.

It's free of charge.

It's not free of charge.

I packed some fish for you to take.

If you have clothes that you don't wear,

let me take them.

The sister says that she's got

no clothes to wear.

Why is my family so poor?

Are you going here?

Are you crazy?

Nice picture.

(The 12th Annual Volunteer Workers Gathering)

Right. I need an organization.

Organization? What organization?

I'll take my students to the book concert.

Okay.

Right.

What about forming an organization?

We can get together every other month

and do some volunteer work.

What kind of volunteer work?

There are lots of things we can do.

We can help less fortunate students,

and hold a big annual charity bazar.

I'd love to, but I don't have time.

Once every other month,

whoever's available can join.

Since we're all from Jinseonmi High School,

I want to call it 'Jinseonhoe.'

I like it.

Well, I don't think I can join.

I'm already involved with another charity.

That's too bad. I guess...

I'll have to do with the IVY league students.

IVY league students?

While I was staying in America and Britain,

I was teaching at Hangeul Schools.

At the time, we had lots of immigrant families

and many of them went to Oxford,

Cambridge, Harvard, Yale, and Stanford.

Now they're all successful

and trying to make their children into alumni.

They always contact me

to get a letter of reference.

The foundation who awarded me

as the Best Teacher and

Columbia University have close ties.

I don't think my reference can guarantee

your acceptance, but it won't hurt.

Oh my!

I'll help you instead.

I want to send my kid to Cornell University.

I'll join. Why don't you join?

Your son is a middle school student.

I'll make time.

You know my husband's uncle owns

a big, successful publishing company.

He's having an event tomorrow where he

invited a British author who went to Oxford.

What about having our first meeting there?

Good.

Okay.

So have we officially formed Jinseonhoe?

- Sure. / - Of course.

Is everything okay at the dojo?

What if lots of students quit?

I'll work harder.

I'm not worried.

You know that I'm 2 years older than you.

Mari, I won't treat you differently.

You can rely on me like I'm your older brother.

What?

I'll treat you like my friend.

I want to feel close to you.

I'll see you this evening.

You were out in the cold for too long.

I thought I'd see her again.

Take some medicine.

You have a high fever.

You've got to be careful.

Mari.

Where are you going?

Come with me.

This is very important.

I'm going to see Mr. Yang Minam.

He's got the flu,

so I'll buy him some medicine.

Mr. Yang Minam...

The gentleman who lost his memory?

Yes.

Mr. Han called me and asked for my help.

He's getting his memory back bit by bit.

I'm going to find his family.

How?

I'll put him on TV.

You're sweeter than you look.

Geez!

By the way, can you put my mom in the class

that starts in September?

Why?

You can't break the rules and regulations.

Everyone else has to wait for months.

Sons are emotionally deprived.

What are you talking about?

My grandma started taking cooking seriously

after my grandpa passed away.

She was a good cook, but after grandpa died,

she focused on cooking to distract herself,

and became a professional chef.

Right.

By the way, my mom's not a good cook.

Let her take the September class.

I'll ask your mother first.

You don't need to. Next week is no good.

Call her. Now!

Okay, I'll call her.

This is why mothers prefer daughters.

I'll only have daughters.

When will that be?

Hello, sir!

Thank you for coming to see us.

Hello, Mr. Yang.

I brought this pretty teacher with me today.

Hello, my name is Jeong Mari.

Nice to meet you.

This way.

Your girl is pretty.

She's not my girl. She's my co-worker.

You two look good together.

How old are you?

You shouldn't ask a lady her age.

What about your parents?

Are they still alive?

Including my grandma,

3 generations live together.

What about your grandfather?

He passed away before I was born.

A girl from a big family is

good wife material.

You two look pretty.

You should get married.

Please.

Are you feeling better now?

No. My heart is breaking.

You're like a teenage boy.

We want to help you find your family.

Tell us anything that you remember,

even if it seems insignificant.

He remembers bits and pieces.

It won't be easy to make a full story out of it.

That's why we have you, Doctor Jeong.

You're in a better mood

after meeting with them.

Me?

Why?

Hello.

Mari, I missed your call.

I was wondering if I could see you today.

You don't see me before you go to work.

Are you mad at me?

I'll wake you up in the morning

before I leave.

Forgive him.

He's got so much stuff to

take care of these days.

I'm forgiving you because of Mari.

Thank god.

Mari, You saved me.

Why did you leave without

meeting my grandma?

Something urgent came up. I'm sorry.

No, no one has ever visited her

before their class started.

She was impressed.

The house looked classic and clean.

I can't wait.

Mom, start in September.

Don't cut in line.

Do you think you can start next week?

We're not rushing you, are we?

No. That'll be great.

Thank you.

I wish I had a daughter like you.

Where can you get a loud shirt like that?

(Book Concert with Lee Munhak)

Hasn't the banner for

the window arrived, yet?

No, but I'll put it up as soon as

it arrives this evening.

Can you see to it personally?

Coffee, soda, snacks, seats, and everything.

Okay.

What's wrong?

Her class starts in 2 days.

Let their worlds collide.

Why do you care?

How can I not?

Mom and Mari are shopping

near Hongdae as we speak.

You like Mari, don't you?

Stop.

No way.

Don't be so obvious.

I can see through you.

Get Ms. Kim Hyeonsuk and Jeong Mari

out of the house on the

day of your mom's class.

It's not perfect, but it's an idea.

Really?

You know how to encourage people.

They say that I'm fun to be with.

The instructors say that

they enjoy teaching me.

A 3 month free coupon is a big deal.

A total of 4 months.

Tell me about it.

What did you do? Show me.

Not much.

I just keep running like this.

Way to go, guys! Keep working!

We're almost there. One more time.

Let me...

Use your energy!

Let me join you.

Way to go! Way to go!

- Way to go! / - Way to go!

Now, stretching.

Stretching.

What so funny?

Are you still cold?

I was standing out in the cold for too long.

What else can I add?

Add some adlay powder.

In spring, my skin feels drier.

I should get facials more often.

Come by every day.

Or take all the powder you need.

Do it every day until Sunday.

Are you really inviting him over?

I already did.

You seem to be having

so much fun with Moran.

Mom!

What?

Is Ms. Jang my biological mother?

Do you remember what I said this afternoon?

I was proud of myself for the first time

in my life, but you didn't even listen.

If Ms. Jang is your mother,

why did mom raise you?

People from mom's generation had to.

I'm not such a nice girl.

I've had this thought for a while.

'Is Ms. Jang my real mother?'

She's always favored you.

If you want to know, get a DNA test.

Don't waste your hair. Use it.

I will. Don't try to stop me.

I saw your eyes shift.

I saw you shivering.

You're making me cold.

You're coming down with the flu.

I'll make some citron tea.

You have to be nice to her.

She's mom's guest.

You can't deliberately isolate her like that.

Why isn't she leaving?

She feels the love of a family.

Her house is too big and there's no warmth.

Mom, are you sick?

No, I'm fine.

Your mother's in that room.

Hello.

This is for you.

I brought you the empty container.

I didn't expect a present.

Here.

I bought it near Hongdae today.

Do you know my size?

Roughly.

This is cheating.

I should've bought you something first.

Why?

I'm a man.

That's just silly.

I make money.

I work part-time, too.

Huh? There's two.

One's mine. The picture was cute.

Are we going to wear matching T-shirts?

Yes. We're a couple now.

Let me try it on.

You can't take your top off here.

Try it on at home.

Shall we meet on Saturday

wearing these shirts?

Shall we meet on Saturday

wearing these shirts?

Why did I say that?

This is worse than I thought.

I thought you'd get 40% correct.

Am I a genius?

How can I get 40% correct?

A genius gets 40%?

Kim Hyeonsuk! Attention!

I'm cooking.

This is porridge for mom.

I don't sleep here anymore.

Why are you sleeping on the floor?

I want to lie on the warm floor tonight.

Were you wandering around in the cold?

Where I saw the guy who looks like Cheolhui?

Am I crazy?

Get out. Turn the lights off.

I'll come with you tomorrow.

You might have been in the wrong spot.

Go to sleep.

Don't cry.

Cheolhui loved you dearly.

Give it to me.

Don't work too hard.

We have to go in 10 minutes.

I like this one.

Put this one on.

- Do you think so? / - Sure.

I like the way it fits your body.

I know.

I want to hit the jackpot.

Jongmi, I'm impressed.

Sir, welcome.

You call me sir when

you need something from me.

It's not easy to take care of two businesses.

Can you help me, sir?

I'm not good at marketing or accounting.

Outside Director?

No, I'll hire you as an advisor.

Let me sleep on it.

When you're done, help me buy some clothes.

I'm going to a book concert with Jongmi.

Where? Can I come with you?

It's only by invitation.

I'll wait outside.

This is nice.

I downsized the event this year.

I want to do this more

often on a smaller scale.

Hello, I'm Kim Hyeonsuk.

I guess you and your sister are quite close.

That was my impression at the fishery market.

We have a love and hate relationship.

Are you considering my offer?

I'm considering it positively, but

I haven't decided when to tell the company.

The sooner the better.

Go for it.

By the way, my mom got sick

and I want to postpone lunch on Sunday.

Is it serious?

No, she's just got the flu.

We'll have you over some other time.

I'll look forward to it.

What are you doing here?

We came for the book concert.

What about you?

I had a meeting with Mr. Lee Munhak.

Did you meet with him? In this outfit?

Yes. Why?

Is there something on my jacket?

No.

You two make a sweet couple.

Take care of Hyeonsuk.

Are you leaving?

I need to get back to the office.

Mari needs my help.

Mari?

We're trying to find this gentleman's family.

I'll see you on the weekend.

Do you sell T-shirts like this?

These are the same shirts, right?

Yes.

Do you have an XL size?

Yes.

Can I exchange it?

- Sure. / - Thank you.

Hello?

How may I help you?

I'd like to learn kendo.

Can I see your master?

He's out at the moment.

Has Master Lee Ruo still got it?

Have you learned from him before?

Sure. He's the best in the nation.

Do you want to wait in the office?

I'm a little busy. I'll come back later.

Thank you.

Good-bye.

Ruo.

A guy just dropped by.

I've seen him on TV and his name is...

Dujin!

Lee Dujin!

Dujin!

Beneath the Wheel

Hyeonsuk!

Look!

Let's get out of here.

We haven't done anything wrong.

Stay.

Never mind.

- Hello. / - Welcome.

Let's eat something yummy.

- Hello. / - Good.

Have a seat.

Good.

The top two students are from my class.

I'm so proud of you guys.

Ma'am, bring us a bit of everything for 6 people.

These are good students. Make it quick.

Okay.

Hyeonsuk, isn't she your teacher?

Let's go.

We haven't done anything wrong.

Let's stay. Don't worry.

Hyeonsuk, you're here.

Is she your friend from another school?

The one who poured water over you

at the Leif Garret Concert?

Ma'am, can you buy us some snacks?

Hyeonsuk is also your student.

Stop.

Sorry, but I'm only buying snacks

for good students today.

Let's get out of here.

Guys, enjoy your snacks and study hard.

If your grades fall, you'll be like Hyeonsuk.

Where is Mr. Lee Munhak?

He's having a meeting with the author.

Can you arrange seats for these ladies?

I'll see what I can do.

Wait here for a minute.

Hello.

A self-invited guest is here.

Why didn't you contact me first?

I wanted to, but everyone was so busy,

and I didn't think they could make it.

However, they've all decided to join me.

Don't worry about the seats.

Mr. Mun's on it.

Are you guys ready?

Huh? Mom, you're here.

I hope you can enjoy this event

elegantly and quietly.

Oh my!

Aren't you Hyeonsuk?

I thought judges were busy.

Hello.

I didn't think I'd see you here.

What's she doing here?

Is it a coincidence?

Or did Mr. Lee invite her

so that she can apologize to you?

Hello, I'm Lee Munhak.

Thank you for coming today.

(Book Concert with Lee Munhak)

I've planned many book concerts

on a smaller scale so that I can meet

the readers more often.

Can you escort him to his seat?

Yes, sir.

Let me bring in our guest.

William Simotton, an author from Britain,

and the translator Mr. Lee Dujin!

Why don't you say hi to them?

Right.

Hello, I'm Lee Dujin.

It's an honor to meet an author

that I respect a great deal.

I'll try my best to help you enjoy this event.

Ernest Hemingway once said what it takes to be a writer

is a misfortunate childhood and I understand

you were also a rather underprivileged student

when you were young.

Lee Dujin had a lonely childhood, but

he's so bright and he speaks English fluently.

I know.

It must be hard not to understand.

He wrote a book about the year-long

dispute he had with his teacher

and won an award for that book.

Did you hear that?

You could've turned out okay.

Show some manners.

So Mr. Simotton, eventually you'd have been

a far great writer with the right teacher, I suppose.

Yes, maybe I would've gotten the Nobel Prize.

He said if he'd met a good teacher,

he would have gotten the Nobel Prize.

You're the best! I love you!

You're the best! I love you!

Those two ladies seem to agree with him.

Okay then, here's the next question.

This porridge tastes good.

You sure are my best pupil.

Porridge?

Yes.

I don't think Ms. Park made it.

If that's the case, Hyeonsuk is

the only other one who can cook.

Hyeonsuk made this?

This is better than the porridge I make.

She's been watching you since she was little.

That's why she's a good cook.

Why don't you teach her how to cook?

I was standing right here,

and he was walking that way.

I asked his name and

he said he was Yang Minam.

We don't have any relatives

with the family name, Yang.

He's not related to Kim Cheolhui.

I was so silly.

I knew it wasn't Cheolhui,

but I still asked him his name.

Why did you do that?

I was so shocked.

I hope I can bump into him again.

So you can see him.

You're dressed nicely today.

I'm not wearing anything fancy.

I think you're dressed nicer than me.

I didn't have anything else to wear.

When I host this alone,

I see lots of people dozing off,

but we have a nice looking young man here,

and you're all focused.

That hurts me a little.

If you have any questions for William,

now is your chance.

It's time for Q&A.

Yes, you.

In Beneath The Wheel,

written by Hermann Hesse,

the principal deliberately ostracized a student,

who showed somewhat eccentric behavior

in the seminary, in front of the entire school.

It was an unprecedented event.

The next morning, the principal gave

a speech about decadent teenagers.

For years, no one has ever been punished

this severely.

Heilner, I will make sure that you'll remember

this even 10 years later.

I'll make Heilner as an example to all of you.

Hyeonsuk, what's wrong?

I remember crying a lot

while reading that book.

I want you to write books

that comfort people,

who had to suffer because they were

too young to protect themselves.

Does she still feel the pain?

He's wondering

if you're speaking from experience.

I am.

She said yes.

Can you tell us about it?

When I was 16...

When she was 16...

I had a hard time, but...

She was my classmate.

I can guess what she's trying to say,

but she was a troublemaker back then.

She deserved to be ostracized.

No one in the world deserves to be ostracized.

If she was a bad influence,

she should've been isolated.

She had to protect other students from her.

A rotten branch should be pruned.

Sir, you should interview her.

She was so cruel to the students

who couldn't meet her expectations.

How can a teacher encourage students

to ostracize their own friend?

She did such a terrible thing.

Really.

I saw you in the flower shop.

Oh my!

You're Hyeonsuk's friend.

I didn't recognize your new face.

What have you done to your face?

I got facials, you stupid idiot!

- What? / - Jongmi, calm down!

You should be ashamed of yourselves.

You're all in this together.

This is bad teacher.

My friend... My friend's so sad.

Ms. Na was a great teacher.

Jongmi! Jongmi!

Guys, enjoy your snacks and study hard.

If your grades fall, you'll be like Hyeonsuk.

Which school do you go to?

A night school?

How dare you talk like that in front of Ms. Na?

Are you completely mad?

Don't come to our school from now on.

Hyeonsuk, transfer to her school.

Jongmi!

How dare she? Hey!

Stop! Please stop!

Stop! Everyone, stop!

Captain, everyone in position.

Have a seat.

I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.

This is disrespectful to a worldly

renowned man.

These ladies deeply admire and trust me,

but they've inconvenienced you.

Please forgive them.

Seeing them behaving like this makes him

believe that they're not well educated.

William, you're the best. I love you!

Mr. Simotton.

Please don't be upset.

These ladies aren't responsible

for what happened.

But you're responsible for their behavior.

You can blame me, but don't blame them.

A judge, a singer, a professor.

They've survived this harsh environment

of a dog eat dog world.

How dare you treat them like that?

Ma'am.

Oh my! Ma'am.

Don't be shocked. She's acting.

Hey!

Call an ambulance. Now!

Okay.

Sir!

Are you okay?

Bring me some water.

Hyeonsuk, you were great today.

Consider this a victory.

William only gave you his autograph.

Jongmi, you did a good job.

I'm done fighting with her.

I won't see Ms. Na Malnyeon

for the rest of my life.

An old lady, who didn't remember anything

about herself, found her family 7 years ago.

Right. I remember her.

Hyeonjeong, as the MC, you did a good job.

How did you do it?

I followed her around for a week.

I captured the way she sang

and unique behaviors that she didn't realize.

It's better than

just talking to him in the studio.

I have nothing more to say.

I got lucky at the time.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Yes.

Thank you.

Good-bye.

Hello.

We're 10 minutes late.

It's okay. Have a seat.

This way.

Oh my! I almost forgot.

Do a blood test and get the results...

10 Most Attractive Flowers And Bizarre Flowers - Duration: 7:45.

Flowers are one of the loveliest things to exist in nature.

Almost every flower is appreciable, but there are some species which rule the roost, thanks

to their distinctive appearance and traits.

So which floral delights possess mesmerizing qualities that set them apart from the rest?

Our team at 2 minute facts brings before you the 10 most beautiful yet strange flowers.

Number 10.

Monkey Face Orchid It is also called Dracula because of its two

long petals which look like vampire fangs.

But that's not the only thing it looks like.

This flower clearly resembles a monkey's face.

One can clearly make out rare.

In fact, you will have a hard time spotting one.

It can be only located in the jungles of Peru and southeastern Ecuador at a height greater

than 3,000 feet above sea level.

It is a perennial plant.

Monkey Face Orchid flowers have distinct smell like ripe oranges.

Number 9.

Hooker's Lips How the flower got its name is pretty obvious.

The bright red lip-like things resemble a voluptuous prostitute's bright red lips.

No, these things are not the leaves or petals.

They are actually bracts.

If you are wondering what a bract really is, it is a modified leaf or scale with a flower

cluster in its axil.

These bracts are only in their kissable state for a few days.

Then they blossom into little yellow and white flowers.

This plant is native to the tropical regions of Columbia, Costa Rica and Panama.

Number 8.

Swaddled Babies When tulip orchids start looking like babies

wrapped while swaddling they look kinda cute!

This flower species was discovered in the Andes mountain range in Colombia in the last

decades of the 18th century.

The flower has an interesting trait too.

Their alluring fragrance attracts insects to the flower.

The insects are shoved into the stamen, when they are off –guard.

There a pack of pollen gets attached to their abdomens, thus increasing the probability

of pollination.

Number 7.

Snap Dragon Seed Pod One of the queerest looking flowers in the

floral ecosystem is the Snapdragon.

It looks freaking creepy as they resemble human skulls.

If you squeeze them they look like dragon's mouth opening and closing.

In ancient times people believed Snapdragons held mystical powers.

They even claimed that growing them in one's garden could ward off evil.

But you can't blame those gullible people as these flowers certainly have a haunting

look.

They are native to rocky areas of Europe, the United States, and North Africa.

Number 6.

Protea Pinwheel This unique flower looks quite close to a

carnival ride.

But it also resembles a pinwheel.

This is how it gets its name.

It can be found in the southwestern and southern parts of South Africa in the fynbos region.

It is the best looking among the family of firework pincushion flowers.

A unique trait of this flower is its connection with fire.

The best time for Protea Pinwheels to bloom is after a fire, when all the flora and fauna

in the area have been burnt down.

It can then grow in peace, completely unhindered by plant and animal predators.

No wonder, it can survive the harshest of climates.

Number 5.

Devil's Hand Here is another scary flower that could knock

the air out of you.

Devil's Hands certainly look like the hands of Satan.

But they look awesome!

It is also referred as the Monkey's Hand, but that simply spoils the effect.

This flower is native to Mexico.

Ancient Aztec tribes held it in high esteem.

It was used in many religious rituals.

It comes as no surprise that these flowers were harvested for generations and generations.

But that's not all.

The fruit of this tree has remarkable medicinal properties.

It has an earthy taste and has been employed for years in traditional medicine.

It is helpful for treating heart diseases.

This tropical tree is extremely resilient and can grow quickly.

Number 4.

Lobster Claw Indeed, the Lobster Claw is the weirdest flower

on this list!

It is remarkably bright and colorful.

It is also known as the False Bird of Paradise.

But that's not the only unique feature it has.

The Lobster Claw's flowers come out from the reddish flower-like bracts that conceal

the plant's true flowers.

These flowers need birds with deep and pointed beaks for pollination.

They require lots of water and enriched manure for blooming.

These flowers are native to the tropical Americas, but a few are indigenous to certain islands

of the western Pacific and Maluku.

Number 3.

Flame Lily There are not many flowers that could match

up to the beauty of the Flame Lily.

Also called Glory Lily, this perennial plant is both a climber and scrambler.

The Flame Lily thrives in many parts of the world and is widely propagated as a prized

ornamental addition to flower gardens.

Like nearly all lilies, the Flame Lily is considered poisonous to humans and animals

(especially cats!), so if you insist on growing it make sure to take proper precautions.

A fun fact about the Flame Lily is that it's actually considered a weed that thrives naturally

in sandy coastal conditions.

That's one weed we wouldn't mind having in our backyard.

Number 2.

Hammer Orchid The Hammer Orchid has been named so for its

ability to reset itself.

Its population depends upon its success of luring wasps for pollination.

The flower secretes a pheremone that mimics that of the female wasp.

The clueless males land on its dark purple labellum which moves back towards the pocket

of pollen.

The wasp is shoved into the pollen.

This germination helps in fertilizing another flower and this is why their numbers are still

thriving.

This unique orchid is native to Western Australia.

Number 1.

Star Flower This flower is also called the starfish flower.

As the name suggests, it looks like a star or starfish.

But what's even more unique is that the star flower can mimic the smell of decaying

flesh.

The flower's color varies from deeper shades of reds and purples to light pink and in some

cases, even yellow.

Its disgusting fragrance attracts flies which help in distributing its pollen grains.

It is native to the Mediterranean region.

But you will find it in other locales as well.

Be it the gardens of the United Kingdom or other parts of Europe, you will find it splattered

all across the temperate region.

So, are there any other beautifully unique flowers that should be included in this list?

What Makes You Successful? Science Research On Success Mindset. The Key To Achieving Your Goals! - Duration: 7:32.

what do you think is the key to

achieving our goals our success some

people suggest things like hard work

focus persistence but research shows

these are all byproducts of something

else something much more powerful that

we can all develop some people see

intelligence or abilities as fixed what

is called a fixed mindset while other

people see them as Josh does as

qualities that can be developed a growth

mindset more important dr. Dweck

discovered that these two different

mindsets lead to very different

behaviors and results in a study she did

with dr. Lisa Blackwell several hundred

seventh graders were surveyed to

determine which mindset each student had

and then they were tracked for two years

results showed that the students with a

growth mindset those who thought they

could change their own intelligence

increased their grades over time while

those with a fixed mindset did not you

can see the trend the gap in performance

just widens and widens over time the

difference between these two groups a

different perspective on intelligence

other studies have shown similar effects

for our mindset about other abilities

like problem-solving playing sports

managing people or anything else you'd

like

Nancy la macarena the key to success is

not simply effort or focus or resilience

but it is the growth mindset that

creates them the mindset itself is

critical research shows that when we

directly try to build grit or

persistence it is not nearly as

effective as addressing the mindset that

underlies them how many of us think of

ourselves as not math people or creative

or sociable or athletic or conversely

that we're Naturals if we're to fulfill

our potential we have to start thinking

differently we have to realize that our

we're not chained to our current

capabilities neuroscience shows that the

brain is very malleable and we can

change our own ability to think and to

perform in fact many of the most

accomplished people of our era were

thought of by experts to have no future

people like Charles Darwin Lucille Ball

Mars

Prust and many others but they along

with all great achievers from Mozart to

Einstein built their abilities but the

key insight that I would like you to

walk away with today is that when we

realize that when we realize that we can

change our own abilities when we have a

growth mindset we bring our game to new

levels so how does a growth mindset do

that it turns out that there are

physiological manifestations to mindset

brain scans show that for people with a

fixed mindset the brain becomes most

active when receiving information about

how the person performed such as a

greater score but for people with a

growth mindset the brain becomes most

active when receiving information about

what they could do better next time in

other words people with a fixed mindset

worry the most about how they're judged

well those with a growth mindset focus

the most on learning there are other

consequences of mindset people with a

fixed mindsets the effort as a bad thing

something that only people with low

capabilities need while those with a

growth mindsets the effort is what makes

us smart as the way to grow and when

they hate a setback or failure people

with a fixed mindset tend to conclude

that they're incapable so to protect

their ego they lose interest or withdraw

we observe that as lack of motivation

but behind it is a fixed mindset whereas

people with a growth mindset understand

that setbacks are part of growth so when

they hit one they find a way around it

like Josh Waitzkin did when he lost in

chess or in martial arts research

clearly shows these effects of mindset

in one study that dr. Dweck did with dr.

claudia mueller they had children do a

set of puzzles and then they praised the

kids to some of the kids they said wow

that's a really good score you must be

smart at this that's fixed mindset

praise because it portrays intelligence

or abilities as a fixed quality to other

kids they said wow that's a really good

score you must have tried really hard

that's growth mindset praise because it

focuses on the process then they asked

the kids okay what kind of puzzle would

you like to do next an easy one or a

hard one

the majority of the kids who received

the fixed mindset praise chose to do the

easy puzzle while the great majority of

those who received the growth mindset

praise chose to challenge themselves

then all then the researchers gave a

heart puzzle to all of the kids because

they were interested in seeing what

confronting difficulty would do to their

performance look at what happened when

the kids later went back to the set of

easier problems that they started with

the kids who received the fixed mindset

praise did significantly worse than they

had originally while those who received

the growth mindset praised it better and

to top it off at the very end kids were

asked to report their scores and the

kids who received the girl the fixed

mindset praise lied about their scores

over three times more often than those

who receive the growth mindset praise

they did not have another way to cope

with her failure the difference between

these two groups one short little

sentence these studies show not only the

mechanisms by which mindset affects

performance but they also show something

else that's very important they show

that we can change mindsets and that's

important because most of us have fixed

mindsets about something well when you

look at children and you look at all the

different theories about what makes

successful kids you realize that almost

all the theories are wrong because they

haven't been verified like for example

high IQ you have a lot of high IQ people

who become marginal members of society

and so what is the one psychological

test that correlates with success in

life and I found out that it's the

marshmallow test it's the test that has

survived every challenge you track

students for 30 years for 30 years in

different countries and you find that

they are more successful they have a

lower divorce rate higher income higher

status in society so what is this

marshmallow test you get kids and ask

them do you want a marshmallow now or

two marshmallows a few hours from now

and the kids that want the marshmallow

now tend to be those that want shortcuts

those that don't want to do the hard

work they want the the the quick kill

they grab that marshmallow but the other

ones say no wait a minute

if

I wait two hours I can get two

marshmallows I can hold out there's a

pot of gold waiting for me they're not

going to take the shortcut and so you

say to yourself well that's a test for

kids but then you track them decade by

decade by decade and then you find out

oh my god these are the ones who go to

college the ones who hold out for that

advanced degree that don't want that

simple pay off now but are gonna delay

gratification into the future and so I

realized that that's the key to success

in life not just science but in life

don't take the shortcuts

Asus X441SA Review - Duration: 6:07.

The ASUS X441 is aimed towards

budget consumers who needs all the basic

needs without sacrificing performance

and mobility but does it have a great

reputation?

I'm Lyka of NPT and today let's

dive into the ASUS X441SA that

costs under $400 or 20,000 in the

Philippines I like the x441's *looks*

that has all these three elements

sleekness portability and value for

money is what this laptop shines by its

appearance it resembles our aces x541

UJ that has an all plastic build with

a brush design to make it sleeker and eye

catching and somewhere great and build

quality the port selection is decent

three USB ports one being a type-c

connector VGA and HDMI for external

displays set up plan DC power in with

the combo jack full size SD cards for

photos and other media contents and

lastly we have the DVD writer and the

security locks lock opening up the

laptop reads 768 P glossy PM display it

has a decent color and brightness but

it's not ideal on outdoor use for its

reflective *screen* poor viewing angles and

visibility which this display is ideal

for indoor use and in the shade where

the camera quality is still mediocre to

have the best live stream experience but

conversations is good

I do like the keyboard that it's

spacious and the Chiclet style is cute

to see with its responsiveness and great

travel even though it's a bit spongy

it's easy to get used to for a

date-date test a check pad is responsive

in terms of gestures controls and it's

tracking speed while it's plastic is

great and the left and right click is

decent but not too perfect under the

bonnet creates an efficient CPU Pentium

processor with only 2 GB of RAM and

500gb of storage whereas the performance

is substantial in many of the lightest

apps and simplest workloads which this

efficient chip is also capable of

handling

games thanks to the Apollo Lake GPU where

the temperature sits comfortably on

either end decent or full load with some

minor thermal throttle where the hard

disk is okay for a daily user but the 5

400 rpm is still slow in today's

standards

however the 2gb of RAM is not too far to

have it's limitation as power users

will not benefit on intensive

applications on this laptop

with a 3-cell 36 while HR battery is

good

our testing shows one and a half hours

of gaming three hours and 32 minutes

under load and five hours and nine

minutes on idle maintenance is a 4 over

5 in my rating scale where the laptop

Ram is soldered and the only upgrades

are the HDD Wi-Fi and a DVD writer that

requires the palm rest to access these

components the export for one s8 has a

reputation in the budget laptop market

with a sleek and unique design with a

better experience on the keyboard and

trackpad performance to the raw power of

expects with some minor things to

consider but as always the asus x4 for

one is a notebook that does the price

right for the right person and a tight

budget for basic eats and with that I do

recommend this laptop with a great

rating scale of a with that said all the

deals of this laptop would be in this

"She is Denied [The Nein]..."

Now that I think about it... Even when I was a child, I was...

Always a pickier eater... than others...

The texture and stench of meat always made me sick to my stomach, and people relentlessly teased me for that...

"Eww... What's wrong with her? She threw up again!" The texture and stench of meat always made me sick to my stomach, and people relentlessly teased me for that...

The texture and stench of meat always made me sick to my stomach, and people relentlessly teased me for that...

"She's done, don't go near her!" The texture and stench of meat always made me sick to my stomach, and people relentlessly teased me for that...

"It's alright!"

There was a girl who would always help me whenever that happened

"Here she is to save the day: Miss Goody-Two-Shoes!" There was a girl who would always help me whenever that happened

"Suckup!" There was a girl who would always help me whenever that happened

There was a girl who would always help me whenever that happened

"It'll be fine" I thought she was a very precious friend

"Is that all she says?!" I thought she was a very precious friend

I thought she was a very precious friend

"Cut it out already!" I thought she was a very precious friend

She had a gentle smile much like the moon, it was truly striking...

"You guys! Stop it!" She had a gentle smile much like the moon, it was truly striking...

"Wow!" She had a gentle smile much like the moon, it was truly striking...

Now that I think about it... When I reached puberty, I...

Without warning, developed earlier... than others...

"She's got those huge tits, even though she's stupid and only eats grass... wonder if she's a cow?" They laughed...

"Moo Moo!" "She's got those huge tits, even though she's stupid and only eats grass... wonder if she's a cow?" They laughed...

"Quit it!"

There was a boy who would always protect me whenever that happened

"Oh, so you're into cows?" There was a boy who would always protect me whenever that happened

"Gross!" There was a boy who would always protect me whenever that happened

"I bet that's why he's so nice to her!" There was a boy who would always protect me whenever that happened

The girl's striking smile that was as gentle as the moon...

"What..." The girl's striking smile that was as gentle as the moon...

"I don't give a damn what anyone says..." The girl's striking smile that was as gentle as the moon...

"Ha! He's like prince charming!" The girl's striking smile that was as gentle as the moon...

"Ha! He's like prince charming!" Changed to a demon's face!

"But... He's my prince charming..." Changed to a demon's face!

"Why don't you give it up already?! Hey?!" Changed to a demon's face!

"It's just so annoying!" Changed to a demon's face!

"You were supposed to make me look better!"

"Like I'm an angel for protecting such a loser kid like you, but..."

"Don't go off and use your ugly body to seduce the guy I like!"

"So don't get carried away with the wrong idea!"

"What is she even screaming about?"

Ah... this world is so deceitful... it makes me sick to my stomach

Cloaked in the blurring shadows of night, the stars laugh...

"The first food which she became unable to consume was the odorless, tender veal"

"It was the only meat she felt delicious..."

After that, I became... more likely to distrust people...

I... closed my heart up tight... and survived in a lonely world...

Not letting anyone get close... not letting anyone in...

But then I met A Man who Worked at a Child Welfare Center, A Man who'd later Become my Life Partner [Him],

We drifted through many seasons together

I soon was able to believe in things like true love,

And also put faith in destiny...

And...

I'll never forget, as long as I live, the morning light that beamed down after we were bound together

Hold me, hold me, From now on together with you-

No, with This Treasure inside me [This Baby] as well, the three of us...

We'll live on in Happiness [The Light]...

"Unhappiness is the neighbor of happiness"

"It surely lives next to all families..."

There was a time when I believed

That life was full of bad things, but-

There were some good moments as well,

But... in the end... it wasn't a very good life...

The child we had wished for so eagerly...

Had a fatal condition...

Surrounded by artificial white walls, without even turning slightly...

My child died, tied in Cold Tubing, like chains...

Born into this rotting, unwanted world, as if gathering stardust

You never wished to be born...?

And never knew the joy of life...?

In the end, was my child ever happy?

I'm sorry...

Ah... in this cruel world with no salvation, I'm powerless,

But, My Peripheral Nervous System's Signals [The Lying Voices of my Body] Deceive [The Light]

But, My Peripheral Nervous System's Signals [The Lying Voices of my Body] Deceive This Ninth Reality

And illuminate the abyss of Despair [Darkness]...

This world's beauty is so deceitful... it makes me sick to my stomach

Cloaked in the rotting shadows of night, the stars dance...

"After that, she became unable to eat seafood, eggs, dairy products, fruits,"

"And even vegetables, finally..."

I rejected my attachment to food... and my disgust with life grew...

Embracing sin, the glittering stardust filter through the window,

Where there was a single Nighthawk...

I told my wife over and over

(Ah... I lived...) I told my wife over and over

The meaning of all of The Stories of Hardships [Life]

(Ah... I was alive...) The meaning of all of The Stories of Hardships [Life]

To deny my own emotions, to deceive myself,

(Ah... I lived...) To deny my own emotions, to deceive myself,

To persuade myself...

Ah... even after both your body and spirit broke down,

I didn't try to bring you back to this reality...

Not out of Kindness, rather, something else disguised as it

Because... Even if you were leaving me, I wanted to you smile until the end...

I realized this, under The Dazzling Beams Filtering through The Tree Leaves [Light]...

In the grove of vibrant trees,

That bursts with life which sprang from death

I heard the voice of a child... Was it... here? Was it... Laughter?

"Since I'm alive, I'm gonna make the best of it."

"From now on, I'm gonna eat alot!"

"I won't just throw this life away."

"If life and death are a revolving wheel,"

"Then I'd like to give birth to you many times more..."

"Hey!"

"Dear..."

"You're looking better today."

"Is that so?"

Musicians Who Are Currently In Jail - Duration: 5:00.

For better or for worse, our culture is fascinated by celebrities who turn criminal.

But it's hard to believe someone so talented, so rich, and so famous could throw it all

away and land themselves in the slammer.

Sure, there are some celebrities that think they're above the law, and occasionally stars

don't end up serving their sentences.

But in reality, plenty of famous folks do get convicted for their terrible deeds.

From music industry heavyweight Phil Spector to rapper Vybz Kartel, here are the musicians

who are currently behind bars…and could be for a very long time.

DMX

With his gravelly voice, aggressive style, and obsession with dogs, DMX became one of

the hottest rappers of the late '90s and early 2000s.

But one of his biggest hits, "X Gon' Give It to Ya," is evidently not about paying taxes

to the government.

Billboard reported that in November 2017, DMX, who's real name is Earl Simmons, pleaded

guilty to tax evasion after a federal investigation revealed that he owed more than $1.7 million

in unpaid taxes.

According to Billboard, he was sentenced in early 2018 to one year behind bars.

DMX may be jammed up legally, but he's apparently still on-brand.

At his sentencing, the rapper reportedly requested to hear his own song, "Slippin'," before he…faced

the music.

C-Murder

For a hot minute in the late '90s and early 2000s, the rap world was dominated by the

No Limit label.

Founded by Master P, the label generated big hits for P and for his brothers Silkk the

Shocker and C-Murder, who's real name is Corey Miller.

According to Nola.com, C-Murder attended a rap battle at a Louisiana club in 2002.

Also at the club: 16-year-old fan Steve Thomas.

But at some point, a brawl broke out.

And according to MTV News, a jury determined that Miller delivered a fatal gunshot to the

teen, and was later sentenced to life behind bars.

"This is Jefferson Correctional Center.

They got me for second degree murder.

Something I didn't do."

But fate may change for the rapper.

According to XXL, as of July 2018,

"Both key witnesses in the trial of C-Murder for his alleged role in a fatal 2002 nightclub

shooting have recanted their testimony identifying the rapper born Corey Miller as the gunman."

According to the mag, C-Murder's attorney is petitioning the court for a new trial.

Phil Spector

One of the most influential musical architects of all time, in the '60s, Phil Spector's "wall

of sound" production style influenced the sound of major bands like The Beach Boys and

The Rolling Stones.

According to MentalFloss, he also allegedly waved guns around the studio to intimidate

artists, reportedly taking aim at John Lennon, Leonard Cohen, Debbie Harry, and the Ramones.

According to The Telegraph, he also allegedly kept his wife, Ronettes singer Ronnie Spector,

imprisoned in their home.

This disturbing backstory came to a tragic head one night in February 2003.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Spector's chauffeur, who was waiting outside the home,

confirmed via testimony:

"[…] Spector emerged holding a revolver.

[…] Spector told him, 'I think I killed somebody.'"

40-year-old actress Lana Clarkson was dead.

That same month, she had met Spector while working at LA's House of Blues, and he allegedly

convinced her to go home with him, according to The Guardian.

Spector's first trial ended in a hung jury, but the LA Times reported that in 2009, he

was convicted of second-degree murder.

He was sentenced to life in prison and won't be eligible for parole until 2027.

Bobby Shmurda

Brooklyn rapper and viral dance creator Bobby Shmurda made a huge splash in the music industry

in 2014.

His breakout track was not only a top 10 hit, but the dance he created for the video became

a popular meme.

"Lotta people going around talkin bout grown man don't dance, gangsters don't dance.

I dance all day."

But another place Shmurda was allegedly influential was within a New York street organization

called GS9 that was associated with drugs and violent crime.

According to the New York Daily News, Shmurda was arrested in June 2014, for allegedly having

a gun at a friend's Brooklyn apartment.

He reportedly claimed the weapon was just a prop, saying,

"I use my gun for videos — I'm a rapper."

In September 2016, Shmurda reached a deal in court, pleading guilty to one count of

conspiracy and one count of criminal possession of a weapon in exchange for a seven-year sentence,

according to the New York Daily News.

Shmurda claimed in a 2018 interview that he could be released early, in 2020.

Vybz Kartel

He helped popularize the amped-up form of reggae known as dancehall.

Vybz Kartel has also collaborated with the likes of Rihanna, Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Missy

Elliott, and Pitbull.

His track "Rampling Shop" was a U.S. radio hit, even though it was banned in his native

Jamaica for obscene lyrics.

But that's far from the most controversial moment in Kartel's life.

In 2011, police alleged Kartel killed and mutilated a member of his inner circle, Clive

"Lizard" Williams, because he believed Lizard stole two guns from him and other members

of his crew, according to The Guardian.

After a 65-day trial, reportedly the longest in Jamaican history, Kartel was sentenced

to life behind bars, with a parole hearing in 2049.

Three members of Kartel's crew were also sentenced.
